Daniel LaRusso is the main hero in the original Karate Kid series of movies. He's the student toward Mr. Miyagi, shortly after he, and his mother moved from New Jersey to California.

History[]
Daniel was born in New Jersey in 1966. When Daniel was 8 years old, Mr. Larusso died of an unnamed terminal illness. Little is known of Daniel's relationship with his father, but he later expressed his strongest memory of his childhood saying goodbye to the elder LaRusso when he was on his deathbed, and being proud of all else being there for his father at the last minutes of his life. Thus it seems likely that Daniel had a very good relationship with both of his parents.
Daniel's life was somewhat happy in New Jersey until his Mother got a chance for a job in Southern California so they moved there. A boy who lived near him invited Daniel to the beach to party where Daniel met his crush, Ali Mills. Though, neighborhood bullies, led by Johnny Lawrence showed up and beat Daniel up. This happened a few times until Daniel began learning karate from Mr. Miyagi. Daniel fell in love with Ali and began dating her. Daniel competed in the All Valley Karate Championship where he beat Lawrence who turned out being forced to be mean by his sensei John Kreese.
After the championship, Kreese screamed at his students that they failed until Mr. Miyagi told him to stop. Many months passed and Ali fell in love with a football player. Miyagi got word that his father was dying so he and Daniel traveled back to Miyagi's homeland in Japan where his father passed away. While there, Daniel had a short relationship with Kumiko, a Japanese girl who lived there. Daniel also fought Chozen Toguchi who was a bully in that neighborhood who also studied Karate. Daniel beat him then traveled back to California with Miyagi. Kumiko started a dance business in Japan.
Daniel and Miyagi attempted to start a Bonsai tree store. Daniel met Jessica Andrews from across the street and had a small relationship with her (which was more like a friendship) because she already had a boyfriend in Ohio. John Kreese had become very poor and his Karate business was not working out so he turned to his old friend, Terry Silver who was working with a neighborhood bully named Mike Barnes who was known as "Karate's bad boy". Barnes bullied and forced Daniel into competing in the Karate Championship. Miyagi refused to train Daniel so he trained with Silver (who he thought was a friend), who taught him very aggressive karate. Daniel did find out Silver, Kreese and Barnes were working together so Miyagi decided to train him. At the championship, Barnes had the upper hand against Larusso because of him showing no mercy. After an inspirational speech from Miyagi, Daniel let go of his fear and focused, beating Barnes and putting Silver in Kreese to shame, ending with Daniel winning the Championship, again.
Daniel eventually met a woman Named Amanda and married her, having two children, Samantha and Anthony. They started a car dealership.
