History[]

Dan Backslide is identified as, “the former sneak of Roquefort Hall,” so he is apparently an alumnus of Pimento University (P.U.). It is likely that at that time he became an enemy of the Dover boys (Tom, Dick and Larry). Since that time, he has “squandered” and “misspent” his life smoking, drinking and playing pool.

He is in love with Dora Standpipe, or at least her father’s money, even though she is affianced to the Dover Boys, and will do anything to get her.

Death Battle Info[]

Appearance[]

Dan is a tall man, with a large, equine nose, black hair and mustache. He keeps his hair fashionably pomaded, and wears a chic purple suit with black shoes and white spats. Sadly for him, his attempt to look elegant is spoiled by the sickly green hue that his skin has due to his dissipated lifestyle.

Powers and Abilities[]

Dan has the power of the Toon Force. For example, when needing to separate Dora Standpipe from a tree that she was holding on to, he reached into his inside coat pocket, and pulled out an impossibly large book, which was entitled “Handbook of Useful Information.” He then turned to the page entitled, “How Best To Remove Young Lady From Tree,” found out what he needed, and then reached into his pocket and extracted two large, “Jiffy” brand tire irons which he used to pry her loose.

Weapons and Equipment[]

Dan does not seem to carry weapons, but instead relies on his intellect to get him what he wants. In spite of his being a Toon Force user, he does not seem to use it to produce weapons.

Faults and Weaknesses[]

  • Dan is very poor at hand-to-hand combat. When trying to grab Dora Standpipe, she proceeded to batter him almost to unconsciousness with just her bare hands.
