Connections:
- Dio and Griffith both are two famously evil antagonists who are known for doing some of the most evil things in the genre (All of Part 1 for Dio and the entire Eclipse for Griffith)
- Born into poverty and raised in the streets, Dio and Griffith both dreamed of climbing the social ranking to become powerful.
- Using their charm and beauty they managed to convince hundreds of people to join their sides (Although Dio does this in a lot more sinister manner).
- Getting their hands onto an ancient artifact they both managed to turn themselves into monsters by sacrificing people who had cared about them (Griffith became Femto by sacrificing the Band of the Hawk and Dio killing George Joestar to become a vampire).
- Both of these artifacts were created by god-like beings who look down on human beings (The Behelit was created by The God Hand while the Stone Mask was created by the Pillar Men).
- Despite fucking them over numerous times, Dio and Griffith both heavily respected the main protagonist of their stories (Dio grew a respect for Jonathan while Griffith used to be Guts' best friend).
- After disappearing from the face of the earth, Both Dio and Griffith returned to the world taking the bodies of a family member of the protagonist (Griffith returned to the world using the Moon Child's body as a physical form, The Moon Child being Guts' child. Dio took the body of Jonathan Joestar from the neck down).
- In Berserk and Jojo, Fate is a very driving force of the narrative and is part of the themes of both shows, except they're called by different names (Causality and Gravity).
- Keeping on the topic of Fate they both contrast in the fact that Dio is always fated to lose eventually while Griffith is fated to always win.
- They both gained god forms which allowed them to warp reality itself (again Femto and Heaven Ascension Dio).
