DIO Brando vs Diego Brando is a Death Battle by The Irish VS Writer!

Steel Ball Run vs Stardust Crusaders! The two Brando's from two alternate worlds (Heh get it) battle each other to the death, Which arrogant Dio using the stand "The World" will walk out of this Stand Battle alive and which one will die and turn to Stardust!
Intro[]
Irish: Alright boys we are back with a new series!
Sean: Yeah because our writer is just some eejit who can't actually write a whole season on this site without going "Em, Actually I'll start that again!"
Irish: Feck off you arsehole, We need to start this or I'm gonna box ye!
Sean: Alright, Alright it was just a bleedin' joke. Anyway, Jojo's Bizzare Adventure is a story about family squabbles and most importantly fate...or as they call it 'Gravity' and even after centuries since the rivalry between the Brando's and the Joestar's began in 1860.
Irish: Yeah since Phantom Blood, Jojo has had many different heroes that have become iconic even after the Universe rebooted.
Sean: So it's pretty strange that the best villains are still the Brando's...
Irish: Like DIO Brando - The Time Stopping Vampire!

Irish: So basically The World vs The World! Right with that stated: Let's just say that we will be using only Part 3 DIO and Alternate Universe Diego (We will have a rematch using Phantom Blood vs Scary Monsters)
Sean: So with that said. I'm Sean the guy who makes the jokes!
Irish: And I'm the Irish VS Writer the guy who has to write this battle! And we are here to find out who would win in a Death Battle!
DIO[]
Irish: This story begins like any other...an accident that killed a mother and left the father and son injured during the crash, leaving them helpless in the typhoon of rain...yay.
Sean: Yeah it's pretty damn dark, to be honest, but regardless, a man by the name of Dario Brando came across this site and instead of helping the poor man, he decided to do what he thought was right, by that I mean he attempted to rob him and when George woke up he took credit for "saving him"
Irish: Yeesh this guy is a right ol' bastard!
Sean: I know right but he somehow was able to get a wife and have a child that would change the fate of reality itself just by his existence...this boy's name was Dio Brando.
Irish: Dio did not have a great childhood because of his abusive father that would batter the shite out of him and spend all of the money that poor little Dio made, hell that isn't even the evilest thing that Dario did to his son...no that was when he forced his son to sell his dead mother's clothes so he could buy more booze. You know what? This bastard deserved to be poisoned.
Sean: Now we will have to skip the entire section of Phantom Blood because we will be going over that in the origin section for the rematch. Anyway, after the battle against Jonathan all he had taken his body and was sunken to the bottom of the ocean in a coffin.
Irish: Well that was until the vampire was uncovered by a bunch of fishermen in the Canary Islands (Really nice place for holidays) where Dio did the reasonable thing...you know murdering all of them and deciding to capitalise all of the letters in his name.
Sean: Which would mean GOD in Italian.
Irish: What a feckin' character this guy is. Anyway, Dio...oh sorry DIO had actually created and mastered his stand by the name of...The World.
Sean: And before we do that let's get onto what DIO can do.
Irish: You see, thanks to his vampiric abilities DIO is practically invulnerable thanks to his absolutely insane regeneration which can speed up if he sucks the blood of a victim with the tentacles from his fingers, which is why he shoves his fingers through the victim's necks.
Sean: But even then he can come back from being shot right in the head or being cut entirely in half, speaking of which he can regenerate his limbs even if they are amputated.
Irish: He has healed from even worse injuries that would surely kill a normal being in a few seconds flat, Such as the time when he regenerated from having Polnareff's rapier stabbed right through his skull and he even could still talk after this, But along with the fact that he was still alive after he had his whole cut off...which is why he took Jonathan's body.
Sean: Yeah it starts getting very...weird when DIO gets Jonathan's body.
Irish: Yeah he kept posing around the place and touching his new body as if it were always his, Anyway, DIO healed from holes being punched into him and his healing should be similar to Straits who was able to come back from being blown to bloody bits.
Sean: And like every vampire in history, DIO has laser eyes (Obviously a joke) that the community have dubbed as the "Space Ripper Stingy Eyes" these lasers aren't actually lasers in fact, they are bodily liquids in his eyeballs and is fired out of openings that he creates from his eyes.
Irish: And these things aren't jokes, they are strong enough to cut through stones and Jonathan's hands and they should move in speeds comparable to modern water cutter jets.
Sean: Hell these were strong enough to cut through most of his castle and a cloud!
Irish: Now that's not something to taunt but what makes them even more badass is that DIO can fire these from extreme ranges such as 20 meters away!
Sean: Now while DIO does have his freeze ability...we never ever see him use this ability during Stardust Crusaders or any of the other sources of media so they won't be included until Round 2. Anyway, DIO has one of his favorite weapons during Part 3...his Flesh Buds.
Irish: These Buds are used by implanting one of his cells into a person's head, which allows him to control people which he probably doesn't need since he is so charming that Avdol nearly fell for him.
Sean: ...Don't describe it like that please, Well...Another weapon that DIO has his trusty knives which he carries around with him, which he uses when he stops time to attack his foes where they can't actually react which is pretty damn dark.
Irish: But each of these powers and weapons are not even close to as powerful as DIO's stand that is considered one of the strongest in the original universe...The World!
Sean: Like all stands, The World is a visual manifestation of the user's fighting spirit. That can only be harmed or even seen by stand users. The World is a close-range stand that is pretty similar to Josuke's Crazy Diamond or Jotaro Kujo's Star Platinum.
Irish: DIO's Stand has a B in precision, You see he proved this stat when he was able to feint a punch and strike Star Platinum when his guard was down and he can throw knives accurately during frozen time that generally land on the target. Speaking of the stat, a stand by the name of "The Emperor" has the same stat, This stand was able to shoot down a snake and precisely curve the bullet to dodge a strike from Silver Chariot.
Sean: Like Star Platinum, The World allows DIO to achieve flight with such speed that he can keep up with Joesph Joestar with his Hermit Purple.
Irish: But The World's greatest ability is not flying or throwing knives with really good precision but in fact is his time-stop ability which allows him to halt time for 9 seconds at his best, This ability allows him to stop time on a universal scale.
Sean: This allows him to move freely in frozen time and attack his foes, while they are just left there to be killed by a punch through the torso or stabbing.
Irish: Now let's go over just how powerful the World is. For example, he was strong enough to not only punch through Kakyoin's torso so hard that it sent him flying hundreds of feet into a water tower, causing it to dent in the OVA he was able to flip over a freight train car and he broke several of Jotaro's bones with his punches and he was able to injure Star Platinum with a kick.
Sean: Speed Wise - He was quick enough to stop time before a shotgun could fire and he was said to be faster than Star Platinum who is deffo Lightspeed!
Irish: He is tough enough to tank hits from Star Platinum who has broken through most of an entire school, Including a punch that shattered his entire hand and you know the way DIO has a healing factor? Well, that works for the World.
Sean: DIO himself is strong enough to rip human beings apart as if they were nothing but toilet paper, He easily broke a solid steel sign from out of the ground, Sent Polnareff flying into a building with ease and he was able to deflect Kakyoin's Emerald Splash which is strong enough to break through the roofs of buildings, which as you can tell is pretty damn impressive.
Irish: He is quick enough to leap from building to building without too much effort, As mentioned before he was able to deflect Kakyoin's Emerald Splash, Speedwagon stated himself that DIO is as quick as a cheetah that are fast enough to run at about 100 to 120 km/h.
Sean: But despite all of these feats and what DIO thinks of himself, He is not perfect. He is arrogant to an absolute fault, He constantly underestimates his opponents to a point where he doesn't even attempt to guard himself against an attack like when Polnareff first met him in his mansion, And while The World is strong and all it only has a range of 10 meters, anything father and he can't attack.
Irish: As a vampire, Sunlight is very dangerous to DIO as it will immediately turn him to dust upon touching him - It isn't exactly the light that kills him but in fact the radiation inside of it which is why Hamon will have the exact same effect on him.
Sean: While DIO can take some damage and heal back but with enough hits, it will take a while for him to regenerate his wounds and any damage done to The World will move onto DIO and vice versa, also any person who can stop time will be able to move around when DIO does it. Which he never really expects, That actually lead to his defeat during his battle against Jotaro.
Irish: While he may have flaws, DIO is still one of the greatest villains of all time and he has the strength and powers to definitely keep himself high on this list.
DIO: Let it be known! The power of The World is truly the power to rule this world!
Diego[]
Irish: The year was 1890 and the promoter of 40 years named Steven Steel was close to his retiring year and he wanted to end his career on a bang.
Sean: And this bang was called the "Steel Ball Run" Race. This race was a series of checkpoints and routes on a rough course between San Diego to New York City, For the prize of a cool 50 million dollars! Holy Shit back then that would be like a few billion Euro or something.
Irish: Very serious money my friend, very serious money. Anyway, Thousands of people joined in on this race including big names in the jockey industry such as the Egyptian Urmud Avdol who literally rides in on this massive horse race on a feckin' camel (Didn't turn out well for him), The Cowboy of Wyoming, Mountain Tim even a descendant of Genghis Khan named Master Dot Han!
Sean: But two names that influenced the race the most was Johnny Joestar and Diego Brando!
Irish: This race lasted for months but soon the president of the united states Funny Valentine, had jumped in on the situation which resulted his and the original Diego's deaths.
Sean: Again we will Diego's intro in the rematch, Anyway, After the death of Funny Valentine, Johnny Joestar became that bit more relaxed and he felt like he was close to finishing off this race to the end. But soon a dark figure on Horse-Back was following him.
Irish: And of course this figure was Diego Brando from another Universe, The man I main in Eyes of Heaven with his new stand The World.
Sean: Wait...you main AU Diego?
Irish: Yeah...why?
Sean: No reason, Let's just go over what Diego has.
(Another World Diego Brando Battle BGM)
Irish: Yeah...let's just move on since apparently I have an unpopular main, Speaking of which: Diego has his trusty horse that he named "Silver Bullet" that is a 4-Year Old Arab thoroughbred and the horse which matters since some breeds of horses weigh more or have better stamina.
Sean: Particularly the Arab Breed stands at 14.1 to 15.1 which would equate at about 61 inches or 145 to 155 cm tall and an adult Arabian horse can weight at about 450 Kg.
Irish: Now this Horse is known for being very quick, faster than many other breeds of horses, Now the fastest record this breed of horse has run was 65km/hour, in a gallop, while the average speed is 55km/hour. And trust me as a person who knows Jockey's being hit by a horse will fuck you up!
Sean: Now Diego's horse, Silver Bullet seems to be very well tamed which makes sense not only thanks to his personality but also those little circular blades on his boots are actually used to jab the horse to make them faster in a race. There's a little fact for you guys.
Irish: Anyway, Speaking of Blades: Diego has a hand full of blades that he uses during stopped time, Or just for regular up-close battles to cut up his foes.
Sean: These blades are also pretty similar to DIO's blades but if he is being chased by an opponent he has a large amount of Barb Wire that he either uses to set traps on objects like he does in the games but he also uses this when he stops time and places them in front of his foes without them noticing.
Irish: Like what he did against Johnny Joestar!
Sean: Speaking of his battle against Johnny Joestar he also has a pistol in his belt that he also uses during stopped time so he could hit them when they can't dodge or even react to this attack, but the main problem with this is that it takes him a while to actually load the gun.
Irish: Thanks to the fact that Diego only has 5 seconds to stop time the problem with his gun is that it actually takes him just about 3 seconds to load and so only has 2 seconds to aim and fire.
Sean: Now can you actually do that? Yeah, thought so.
Irish: But to show just how fucked up of a person alternate Diego is he actually has a can of diesel that he either uses to batter someone over the head or his favorite method he likes to first splash them with the diesel and then fusing it with his other weapon his matches.
Sean: Now you don't need a great imagination to figure out what happens when you put a whole bunch of lit matches on a person with diesel splashed on him...
Irish: If you don't get it...just look at Johnny Joestar over there!

Sean: All jokes aside Diego's greatest weapon is his stand named "The World"
Irish: Yes Alternate Universe Diego Brando also has the stand "The World" and it has a very similar power to the original except he can stop time for about 5 seconds.
Sean: This is mainly because he is a human and stamina affects just how long he can stop time for but that doesn't make him any weaker in a battle because he still has some badass feats that would beat most stand users in Steel Ball Run such as the time he stopped time before Johnny's Nail Bullet could hit him.
Irish: Now those are pretty damn quick, But when it comes to strength his feats, He was strong enough swat away Johnny's Nail Bullets during Time Stopped.
Sean: These things are strong enough to blow an adult woman to pieces.
Irish: And it was able to slash it's own leg off with one swat and this proves just how tough Diego is because he was still able to get on his horse even while his leg was barely hanging off but even then he was still able to acquire the holy corpse.
Sean: Literally the corpse of Jesus Christ himself...
Irish: But his greatest feat was when he actually won the Steel Ball Run Race! The biggest race in history by that point but sadly even with all of these points and feats he still isn't perfect, For one he is still human and can be killed by any normal thing.
Sean: But his greatest weakness is the fact that if he comes in contact with the corpse of his regular self from the universe he is in he will die a painful death.
Irish: But even with all of these flaws we are still talking about the guy who literally won the Steel Ball Run Race and defeated one of the strongest stand users in JoJo "Tusk Act 4" so certainly he is not a man nor stand user you should underestimate!
Diego suddenly stopped time and grabbed a handful of knives.
Diego: This is where the fun begins!
He suddenly throws all of these knives at his frozen opponent, surrounding him immediately.
Diego: Time moves again...
Suddenly time moves again allowing his foe to be stabbed hundreds of times.
Intermission[]
Irish: Right with the research set let's see how this battle goes.
Sean: Which 'Dio' will be the last one standing and who's time in this world will end.
Irish: That's what we are gonna figure out...in a Death Battle!
Predictions[]
Necromercer: Well, I gotta say, while this may sound good on paper, DIO kinda stomps Diego into oblivion. Reason? DIO's time stop lasts for 11 seconds, while Diego's only last for 5 seconds.
Necromercer Prediction 2: so, I actually have a new prediction. While SC Dio will still most likely win, this fight actually has a lot to do with the battlefield. first off, if they are in a town, then Diego has an edge, due to being able to set up traps and other such things, while DIO would be unfamiliar with the area, meaning the traps could deal some good damage to him.
Next, If Diego has his horse, he should be able to keep a healthy distance from DIO, so he could possibly shoot him or spam knives/ matches, still not effective, but he could possibly stall him until the sun comes up.
And finally, If Diego has the holy corpse, then he COULD pull this off. Thanks to its luck manipulation, and other such things.
BUT. It's counter time.
We know that DIO's time stop is about 120% longer than Diego's so...oof. But in an open neutral battlefield, with the time set to permeant night, Diego loses badly.
So, this comes down to location, time of day and if Diego has the corpse, or whether or not he will become one.
Battle - Rulers of ZA WARUDO![]
Location: Desert Town, Kansas
Night had soon taken hold of the small desert town as the orange ball of gas in the sky descended to a point where it looked like it went underneath the seemingly infinite sandy land-scape. The once beautifully blue sky had turned into a darkened blue. Trotting along the sand landscape was a brown horse of Arabian breed, Its muscles flexed with each step from its front legs and it's long black mane blew across the wind while particles of sand stuck out in its black mane, The noble steed didn't even notice the sand that nearly blew into its eyes.
The rider, however, Certainly noticed as he tried to use his blue jockey helmet to shield his blue eyes, With his golden hair blowing in separate directions. While the sand particles didn't reach the man's eyes it certainly landed on the gold lettering that said "DIO" which were attached by springs, Growling in annoyance as he made his way through the sandy world, endlessly moving thanks to the powerful wind.
While it didn't look it, This man was actually in the lead of the biggest race in human history: A race from San Diego to New York, To be ahead in a race of this magnitude what takes skill and this man certainly had it as he was known as the greatest Jockey in England.
His name is either brings envy from men and lust from women, This man's name was Diego Brando but there was one name that he always preferred to use, his stage name if you will, Dio!
Diego finally pulled up his helmet allowing him to see a small town which was submerged in darkness. No light shone from any of these houses, Almost as if this town was abandoned. "Heh. I wonder what happened there?" Diego mumbled to himself as he then pressed his foot against Silver Bullet's side; The sheer shock made the horse jump before it ran as fast as it's four legs could run as if a ghost was behind him.
It wasn't too long before Diego and his horse made it to the empty streets of the town, Silent to a point where Diego could hear a pin drop. Due to the silence and the darkness gave Diego a sense of unease as he made his way down the streets. Not noticing a man standing in the shadows.
Darkness submerged the man's body concealing his face and even what he was wearing but what could be seen as the body of another human being: The victim's throat had been punctured by the mysterious being's fingers, Leaving the figure's whole hand to be covered in blood. "I found you!" The figure shouted as he flung the cadaver at a wall nearly splattering it to pieces. Diego's attention was suddenly subverted by the figure but he also saw a silver blade that came closer and closer to his cranium.
"THE WORLD!" Diego shouted with fear and shock as suddenly a golden ghost-like being emerged from Diego's back, almost like a spiritual guardian. With the speed of a bullet, This figure known as The World smacked the blade away causing it to be deflected into a wooden wall. The figure was shocked at The World deflecting his attack but he then revealed himself to Diego.
This man was clearly not human which was very much apparent thanks to his razor-sharp teeth which made him look like a vampire's. But there was something strange about him, His golden hair that flowed across the wind in a similar manner to Diego's in fact they both looked pretty similar.
Except this man appeared to be wearing an orange jacket over a black tank top with orange trousers and elf-like green shoes, rounded off with a crimson cloak that wrapped around most of his body, The figure smirked as he revealed his stand to be the exact same as Diego's expect with more muscle than Diego's slim stand. This revealed himself to be the rival of the Joestar Lineage, DIO Brando!
"And who are you supposed to be? A fan?" Diego asked his new visitor in an arrogant tone as he practically stared down on DIO literally and metaphorically.
"Such arrogance from a mere human! I'm here because I heard about the blatant insult towards my name, How dare you use blasphemed my name by putting yourself on the same level as me!?" DIO shouted in anger as he drastically grew angrier and angrier. Diego smirked at DIO's outburst as he then jumped off of his brown horse his blue eyes never allowing DIO to leave his sight.
"...And even having the same stand as me...is just insulting! And I want to punish this insult!" DIO threatened as he then brought out his stand once again.
Diego didn't let this bother him as he then turned his back away from DIO, Only turning his head allowing him to keep an eye on his foe as he brought down his light blue jockey helmet. "Give it a try, Let's see who deserves the name DIO more!" Diego said as suddenly he brought his version of the World, Allowing it to charge towards DIO's with his left hand reeled.
Suddenly, DIO's golden stand suddenly emerged from in front of him as it suddenly flung its fist towards Diego's. Time seemed to slow down as the golden fists came closer to each other.
BOOM!
It didn't take too long before they finally made contact, Causing a massive shockwave that shook the entire town from the force like the wind of a hurricane. The two were nearly sent flying from the force of their punches making an impact but they were able to press on. DIO brought out his stand to lean back and bring its fist towards Diego's face, Only for it to meet air as Diego jumped away.
Bringing out his knife, Diego charged at DIO ignoring the massive impact between the two Worlds. "HA! You think a monkey-like you can fight a lion!" DIO shouted as he charged towards the bladed Diego. Diego attempted the first attack, Slashing at DIO's throat causing a streak of blood to spray onto the floor like a tap. Despite this DIO was laughing his arse off with a large toothy grin as he pulled the blade right out of his throat without any pain. "Is that the best you can muster!" DIO shouted as he then proceeded to punch Diego right in the chin sending him skidding across the floor on his back.
Forcing himself to stand up, Diego met eyes with DIO who was charging him like a blood-sucking bull. Using the momentum of his arm is behind his back, DIO swung his clenched fist at Diego like a wrecking ball. But it was only that just bit too slow as Diego leapt backwards.
DIO charged again laughing like a madman as he attempted a spin kick towards Diego's head. Suddenly, Diego brought out his stand, Launching it towards the vampire-like a bullet. DIO's eyes widened before suddenly his whole body seemingly teleported from mid-air, Making Diego punch only air. "Where the hell did he go?" Diego shouted in confusion as suddenly he heard footsteps behind him.
"Good question, Monke..." DIO tried to say in a mocking tone as he brought his finger to Diego's throat. But, Diego interrupted this show of power with one command...
"THE WORLD! TIME HAS STOPPED!"
The world itself seemed to turn completely grey, Draining the color of the background within a matter of seconds. DIO's face and movements suddenly came to a halt along with everything except Diego who pushed DIO's frozen hand away with ease. "This is where the fun begins," Diego said in a gleeful tone with a smile on his face as he brought out a bundle of knives and flung them at DIO's frozen head.
They seemed to slow down inches away from DIO's head before they finally came to a halt. Diego then stepped back and admired his work or what was going to happen, Until he saw it...DIO's fingers twitched as if he was able to move the entire time. Panicking, Diego jumped backwards like a cat and shouted "Time has resumed!" prematurely so the opponent couldn't react even if he was able to move in stopped time.
DIO shouted in confusion and anger as suddenly the blades finally made contact...
SPLAT!

SPLAT!
SPLAT!
Were the only sounds that rung out across the silent background, Created by the blades stabbing deep inside DIO's skull starting from the left side of his cranium to his cheek, One blade even stabbing through his eye. Blood spurted from his wounds as he shouted in agony, Before falling backwards in pain. Diego laughed like a madman as he suddenly shouted: "This DIO will be victorious!"
DIO's body fell backwards slowly before he caught himself with his left foot before he leaned forward in anger causing blood to pour on the sand. "Don't be so cocky!" DIO shouted as he ripped out the blades from his face without an ounce of pain as Diego watched in shock.
"How did he survive that!? He must not be human!" Diego thought to himself as he felt a shiver down his spine. Dio suddenly stood up straight, Blood dripping down from the wounds of his face as he suddenly disappeared from mid-air. Diego could hear something in his head almost like an angel in his brain telling him to jump away immediately. Thankfully, Diego's instinct was warranted as he saw behind him where he once was, DIO with his fist forward in a manner that it looked like he was going to punch through him.
A smile appeared on DIO's face once again as he then stared at Diego. "What was it you were saying again? Oh yes, THIS DIO WILL BE VICTORIOUS!" DIO shouted with arrogance as he let his guard down, Putting his hands on his hips as he stared at Diego.
"Try your best you won't s..."
"THE WORLD! STOP TIME AGAIN!"
Diego shouted once again causing time to freeze immediately. Not wasting any time, Diego bent down to the sand and grabbed a fist full of it and flung it straight at DIO's cocky eyes. Diego then made a break for it as he came closer and closer to his horse. DIO moved his hand slightly before time moved again, Allowing the sand to burrow into his eyes making him shout in agony as he covered his eyes.
While it didn't take too long before DIO finally regained his composure it was too late as he saw Diego on Silver Bullet's back, Running away at top speeds with his back turned. DIO smirked as he then ran at top speeds towards the jockey and his steed.
"Heh. It's my turn to use my ability! THE WORLD!" Suddenly time stopped once again for the third time in a row as DIO walked casually towards the horse with his hand on his hip. It wasn't long before DIO was inches away from Diego before he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his right leg. Looking down slowly, DIO saw his right leg...with a large cut over his talus. The cause? A barbed-wire placed in the sand.
Diego turned around with a smug look on his face as he said: "I placed that barb-wire seconds after I threw sand in your eyes if you were wondering, Speaking of which now that your vision is basically zero along with your mobility...it makes you an easy target!" Diego explained as he ran to the left, Disappearing into a street. Suddenly, DIO looked up and saw Diego's stand inches away from his face with his fist reeled.
Without saying a word, DIO commanded his own stand to try and deflect Diego's attack. Diego's stand eyes widened as it felt the sheer shockwave of DIO's stand's fist just missing his face. Diego himself felt this as blood suddenly spurted out of his cheek like a tap.
"I'll show you that my stand is superior!" DIO shouted as his stand suddenly reeled backwards once again and throws another hook towards Diego's stand's stomach. Thankfully for Diego, His stand effectively blocked the strike with his forearm. It wasn't long before the two golden stands battered each other like machine guns, Each strikes only met with the opponent's fist causing a shockwave with each impact. "MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA!" was the only sounds that echoed across the streets along with the shotgun-like sound effects of each strike making their impact.
DIO smirked as the struggle continued, "How stupid do you think I am?" DIO mumbled as he suddenly flipped backwards, Allowing him to just miss another dagger thrown his way. DIO wanting some pay-back for this assassination attempt and flung his own blade back at his attacker. Diego shouted in shock as he made his horse jump to the left, Effectively dodging it.
It wasn't long before Diego then ran as fast as he could away from the scene, Taking turns in streets that grew more difficult thanks to the darkness: But despite the speed of this horse and the darkness, DIO was still keeping pace without that much of difficulty.
Diego wanting to defend himself brought out his stand who charged forward with a face full of anger. DIO smiled knowing that his stand was that little bit stronger as he commanded it to retaliate with a left hook. But this attack only met air as Diego's stand seemingly leapt over DIO, Landing behind him. DIO's stand brought his fist forward and turned around at the same time as Diego which resulted in the two stands being launched in completely different directions.
DIO shouted in pain as he skidded across the floor in pain while Diego nearly fell off his horse but soon he got back on his Silver Bullet. "You...have great power but...did you move during Stopped Time or did I just imagine it?" Diego questioned as he turned towards the knocked down DIO.
The vampire brought himself up, blood trickling down his cheek as he then ran towards Diego with anger and hunger in his eyes. Diego jumped off of his horse and turned his back away from the charging DIO. "WHAT HOW DARE HE TURN HIS BACK ON I, DIO!" DIO shouted in his mind as he ran quicker and quicker until he saw something that brought him to a halt immediately...

DIO's eyes widened as he realized what just happened. He looked to the floor that he was currently standing on and saw that it was wet...starting from when Diego made that turn to feet away from where Diego stood. "It's funny you didn't notice what was going on...You were just tricked!" Diego laughed as he turned around allowing him to see DIO's shocked self, At the thought of him being tricked by this fool.
Without saying a word, Diego threw the match on the wet floor causing a long streak of fire to spread towards DIO at a rapid pace. It was too short amount of time before DIO could entirely escape as he was soon engulfed in flames, screaming in agony as he fell to his knees. Diego arrogantly walked towards the agonized DIO with a gun that he was loading in his right hand. Diego stood over the burning DIO and aimed the gun towards the back of the vampire's skull, "The World!" Diego mumbled suddenly stopping time once again.
The seemingly unstoppable flames stopped and turned the same grey as the rest of the area and DIO himself. The Genius Jockey glared down at the vampire and growled: "Have fun in hell, I'll happily keep the title of DIO you fool!" Before he then...

Fired two rounds of the gun, The bullets only stopping when it was inches away from the back of his skull. Diego turned around as he then allowed time to resume. The resulting shots caused a large spurt of blood to erupt out of DIO's head as he shouted in agony. The vampire's seemingly dead body fell to the floor in a bloodied and burning heap, Diego turned around for one second only to see...
...DIO smiling before he suddenly disappeared.
Diego turned around in shock as he saw DIO standing behind him, Clapping his hands...somehow without any burn marks and bullet holes in his head. The vampire then finally stopped as suddenly time stopped once again as he then commanded his stand to punch Diego right in the cheek, Causing ripples to appear on his cheek as he was oblivious to what was happening. Not stopping there DIO then equipped his blade and flung them straight at Diego's foot, DIO then suddenly resumed time.
The sheer force of the attack sent Diego crashing into a wood wall making him growl in agony as he glared at DIO one last time as rubble fell in front of his field of vision. Diego suddenly stopped time as he then charged back at DIO, Who dodged the next attack. "Why did you think that would work?" DIO questioned with a supercilious smile and his armed crossed before he then kicked Diego in the back of the head sending him skidding.
"Enough playing! Let's finish this shitshow!" Diego shouted as he then got into his battle stance allowing his stand to make a dramatic pose. DIO then unwrapped his arms and shouted into the air allowing his stand to get into his own combat stance.
"This is the final round!"
DIO glared at Diego with hate in his eyes as he then clenched his fist and commanded his stand to charge straight at Diego at top speeds. Diego was quick to react as he dodged the strike with ease and rolled across the floor, Allowing the two stands to attack each other at speeds faster than a machine gun. The Jockey was quick to strike as he took a swipe of the knife across DIO's flailing forearm. The vampire's blood spurted like a fountain as he attempted to grab hold of Diego's throat only to meet air.
Diego crouched down as quick as he could as he then spun himself with his left leg extended, Due to the sheer momentum of the leg smashing into DIO's thigh it completely tipped the Vampire over as he growled in anger. DIO's back slammed against the sandy floor as he then looked up only to see that Diego was completely frozen in place, DIO smirked realizing the extent of Diego's abilities.
"Ha looks like the maximum amount of time you can stop is 5 seconds...while mine lasts for 9 seconds, 4 seconds to do whatever I want!" DIO said to himself as he squeezed Diego's shoulder, Despite being frozen Diego's eyes looked like he had known what was going on.
DIO then turned Diego over making him face his stand. DIO turned his back as he then commanded his stand to attack Diego with a flurry of brutal punches that smashed against his torso. DIO smirked as he suddenly shouted at the top of his lungs: "HAHA! YOU'RE ATTEMPTS ARE USELESS, USELESS, USELESS, USELESS, USELESS!" The vampire laughed as time finally resumed, Allowing Diego to finally feel the force of the attacks making him groan from the pain before he was suddenly sent flying towards DIO at top speeds. The vampire didn't let Diego land as he then kicked Diego in the back sending him flying to the ground.
Diego brought himself as he looked at DIO, Whipping the blood from his lips as he clenched his fists. Bringing out his blade once again as he then flung it towards DIO. The Vampire laughed as he swiped the blade away only to see Diego aiming a gun towards him.

Diego fired the gun towards DIO. But DIO didn't feel any shred of fear as he dodged the shot and stopped time within a second. Diego soon made himself go towards DIO once again, It was becoming quite apparent to him that all of his options were not working and he needed to find a way to beat this near impossible being. But he didn't have time to think as suddenly he felt something grab hold of his leg. Looking down, Diego saw DIO's stand's arm poking out of the sand and clutching onto his leg.
DIO laughed as he then suddenly grabbed a hand full of blades and prepared to throw the projectiles towards the trapped Diego. But the genius Jockey decided that one course of action would be most successful, Diego brought out his stand to chop at its leg causing him to shout in pain as the wound transferred to himself, making him fall over in a bloody heap.
While DIO was confused Diego's stand grabbed its user's disembodied leg and flung it towards DIO's face. It didn't take long before The Vampire was slammed in the face by the heel of a boot nearly tipping him over, Using the last bit of strength that he had Diego commanded his stand to batter the blind vampire with all his might and speed. With one last strike, Diego's stand brought its hand upwards and brought it straight towards DIO's skull and with one karate chop, DIO fell on the floor in a bloodied heap as his head was cracked open.
Diego huffed in exhaustion as he suddenly fell over If his theory was correct that if he smashed his brain to bits it would stop him from regenerating. But it ultimately didn't matter since Diego knew that he would die from bleeding out and there was nothing he could do.
"At least...I took you with me..." Diego mumbled to himself as he stared at the black sky as his eyes began to close. But, A noise attracted Diego's attention making him push himself up. What he saw brought intense fear to his heart as he saw DIO raising from the floor like a corpse as his head bled on the floor. The vampire walked slowly towards his counterpart, While he was alive he barely had much life left in him. Diego propped himself up as he stared at the rapidly approaching DIO.
"W..Why am I feeling sick...I, DIO feeling sick? It's impossible...It must be a joke!" DIO roared to himself as he stumbled towards the crippled jockey. Without much hesitation, DIO grabbed hold of Diego's throat and held him in the air. Making his remaining leg to dangle in the air.
Digging his fingers into Diego's throat, DIO began drinking the jockey and soon his wounds began healing slowly as he stared at the jockey's blue eyes. It wasn't long before DIO had drunk all of Diego's remaining blood and felt like he was completely better. Feeling this intense high, DIO suddenly flung Diego's limp and bloody body into the air. Before Diego could land, DIO suddenly stopped time. "What was it you said before? Oh yes, This is where the fun begins!" DIO mocked as he brought out his stand, Its hands filled with blades.
Soon, The World flung the knives towards Diego just like last time, Stopping just before it stabbed Diego. But just as a last mocking action, DIO made his stand suddenly punch straight through Diego's chest. Pulling its fist out of Diego's wound, The World finally disappeared behind DIO's back, DIO then smirked as time suddenly resumes. First: Diego's chest erupted in a volcanic like manner as crimson liquid splashed across the sand as the jockey shouted in agony. But he didn't have time to react as suddenly the knives stabbed straight into Diego in ever part of his body, his torso, his legs and his head were all affected. The blades and bleeding killed Diego instantly before he fell on the sand, Causing the already large puddle of blood to expand by afoot. DIO stared at the corpse with anger in his eyes as he then turned his back to it and walked away, Leaving one word about the dead Diego.
"That is what you deserve for mocking my name like that!"

Sean: Well I guess DIO really doesn't like people calling themselves 'DIO' who knew?
Irish: Well with DIO's god complex and arrogance it would totally make sense but anyway, This battle may seem close and even at first glance but when you take a closer look at the picture it becomes quite apparent.
Sean: For starters. DIO's version of the World is definitely more superior than Diego's. When it came to strength Diego's stand was a lot weaker than DIO's since the best we see Diego's World doing is chopping his own leg off and swatted Johnny Joestar's nail bullets away: These bullets as we mentioned are strong enough to completely blow an adult woman to pieces with one shot. While this is impressive but DIO's stand was strong enough to not only deflect Kakyoin's Emerald Splash but also kept up with Jotaro's Star Platinum.
Irish: Why is this more impressive? Simply, Kakyoin's Emerald Splash was able to blow the roof of a building with a few shots and Star Platinum was strong enough to break teeth as hard as diamonds and broke a building apart and was able to throw it like a javelin. So yeah see what we mean?
Sean: Speed-wise, These two are just about even since these two have about Light-Speed level reaction speeds. Since Diego was able to swat away Johnny's Light-Speed nail bullets and DIO was able to react to Silver Charriot and Star Platinum.
Irish: Durability wise is the same as strength, Diego survived having his leg ripped off while DIO survived Kakyoin's Emerald Splash and Star Platinum's punches. But physicality isn't the only factor in a fictional fight such as abilities that we will go over right now.
Sean: Now since these two have the same abilities we will compare them, Their Time Stops! While on their owns they have infinite possibilities with it but I know what you're thinking: "Wouldn't this fight just be a bunch of Time-Stops" Well it could very well happen, but that wouldn't be good for Diego since he can only stop time for 5 seconds while DIO can stop time for 9 seconds. While some people say that DIO can stop time for 11 seconds, That only happens when he sucked the blood of Joseph Joestar and became as powerful as he could. Which we didn't count since that would require outside help.
Irish: Anyway yeah, DIO's Time Stop is 4 seconds longer than Diego's which means his time stop can last 120% longer than Diego (Thanks Necromercer for that calc) If you want an example just look at DIO's fight against Jotaro. What would basically happen is that Diego would be able to move around for 5 seconds but when he runs out of time he would basically stop in his tracks where DIO can do what he wants.
Sean: And thanks to DIO's strength and speed I'd say that 4 seconds would be well enough time for him to kill Diego without that much effort. But couldn't Diego kill DIO with his weapons like his knives and his gun?
Irish: Well probably not. You see, DIO's healing factor may not have been as good as it used to be in Phantom Blood but it is still strong enough to heal some pretty brutal injuries. What I am trying to say that is whatever Diego has in his arsenal would basically not be useful since DIO could survive them with no problem.
Sean: So Diego may be skilled but he ultimately just couldn't keep up with DIO's strength, durability, his better time stop and regeneration. Looks like DIO earned his title as king of ZA WARULDO!
