Description[]

Pokemon vs Mortal Kombat! Insects that have learned how to fight? DEAR GOD, HOW HORRIFYING! But which one will bring the loser to feed their young? Will D'vorah add another beloved character on her kill list, or will Beedrill show her it's stingers aren't for show?

Interlude[]

Wiz: D'vorah, the treacherous Kytinn.

Boomstick: Beedrill, the Poison Bee Pokémon.

Wiz: No matter the size and no matter the form, insects are always willing to put up a fight. Be it on the outside or inside.

Boomstick: And these poisonous bastards are no different, especially thanks to their size. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a DEATH BATTLE!

D'vorah[]

(Cue: D'Vorah | Award Winning Gardens | Mortal Kombat)

Wiz: Ever since the death of Shao Kahn, two warring factions have tried to lay claim to his throne: The clone Mileena and the Osh-Tekk Kotal Kahn. To claim Outworld as their own, they needed allies.

Boomstick: While Mileena had Rain, Tanya, and formerly Ermac before he told her to fuck off and joined Kotal, Kotal had Reptile, Ferra-Torr, and the backstabbing Kytinn herself: D'vorah.

Wiz: D'vorah could be summed up with one word: Survivor. Whatever she does and whoever she teams with, it's all for the sake of survival, be it for her own or her Hive's. And with what she and her kind are capable of, it's not that hard to see how the Hive lasted for this long.

Boomstick: Much like her kin, D'vorah can produce four stabby arms from her back, which are strong enough to pierce through entire skulls, create webbing to constrict both prey and foe, and have wings to fly around with.

Wiz: Kytinns are also capable of spewing acid at their foes, coating their stingers with deadly poison, and even their very blood is considered highly toxic. And thanks to their immunity to poison, both their and others' toxins won't affect them. But what's really interesting about their species, both combat and in general, is what they really are. You see, Kytinns aren't a normal like the Shokans, Tarkatans, or Osh-Tekks. They're actually an entire hivemind of bugs creating one body, hence why they call themselves 'We' instead of 'I'.

Boomstick: "So it's a big bug made up of little bugs." You might be saying. "So what? All I need to do is just kill like any normal Mortal Kombat character, right?" WRONG! Unless you burn them, drown them, or crush their entire body, they're likely gonna survive it. Like when Shao Kahn's fanboy, Reiko, tore the fucker in half like a boss he wanted to be for example.

Wiz: Despite her body losing it's form as all the bugs dispatched from it, she's shown later on that she can recombine herself with them to reform her body. In fact, she's even shown being able to turn into swarms of insects to either travel faster or consume the flesh of her enemies. And if she's taken too much damage that she feels like she can't come back from, she can produce a large flying insect to fight in her place. This process does kill her body, but it might actually be her creating a newer body, which while is weaker, it's also quick and agile.

Boomstick: Not only that, but she has full-control over said bugs, which she can use to either attack from either close up or far away as projectiles, set up traps, or just straight up eat her opponents till they're nothing about bones if she doesn't feel like fighting them herself. And can even... spew up maggots... Hey Wiz? I'm starting to feel like I'm about to throw up the more we talk about her.

Wiz: Well it's about to get worse. From her Brutalities and Fatalities, they will show just how disturbing the Kytinn can get. Starting with the more tamer of them, she can pull her opponents in for a deadly kiss, where her insects eat the flesh of their head. She can make her opponents violently give birth to members of her race by bursting out their chests-

Boomstick: Ah hell yeah, Xenomorph style!

Wiz: -while other ways turn them into hosts for her young as they come out of all over their body.

Boomstick: Aaaaaaaannnd the urge the throw up is back... Great...

Wiz: And the worst of it all being... This:

*It shows D'vorah's "New Species" Fatality*

(Music cuts out)

Boomstick: UUURRAAAAAGHH!!!

Wiz: OH GOD IT'S EVERYWHERE!

PLEASE STAND BY

Boomstick: *Pant* *Pant* NEVER! SHOW ME THAT! AGAIN!

Wiz: Noted.

(Cue: Mortal Kombat 11 - D'Vorah: Brood Mother (Theme))

Wiz: D'vorah is quite the fighter, being capable of defeating the likes of Rain, Mileena, Kotal Kahn, and has even fought, and killed, both Baraka and the mighty Scorpion, who's capable of breaking a giant solid block of diamond.

Boomstick: Wait, she killed my baby boy of a hellspawn!? And not NOOB FUCKING SAIBOT!? The fuck, Ed Boon!? It was right there! We sure this ain't an outlier or something?

Wiz: Seeing as she's capable of harming him before, no.

Boomstick: Ah, damnit... Well on the bright side, that would mean that she would by proxy scale to Sub-Zero, who's capable of freezing an entire city with his ceromancy.

Wiz: While we don't know how big the city is, let's assume that it's the same city Shao Kahn and his forces invaded in MK9. And since that city shares resemblance to New York City, we can work off of that. Calculating the size of New York and how fast a storm usually is, we can conclude that Sub-Zero's attack has to be worth at least 968 kilotons of TNT.

Boomstick: And this is the same Sub-Zero who can fight and beat up Kotal Kahn, you know, the same guy who's capable of redirecting light itself! And as mentioned earlier, D'vorah already fought and defeated the Kahn, so she would scale to that regardless.

Wiz: And speaking of speed, that's not all what Sub-Zero, and D'vorah by proxy, are capable of, as the former has also shown to be able to dodge missiles flying straight towards him. Seeing as he looks to have moved towards and punched the Cyber Lin Kuei member as the explosion was happing, it estimated that he had to be going at Mach 12 for that feat to happen.

Boomstick: Not only that, but she should be comparable to the likes of Kabal, since she's around the same level as Scorpion and Kotal, who reacted fast enough to deflect bullets from a M4 Carbine. And let me tell you, that little beauty can fire bullets as fast as a little over Mach 2! And with how fast Kabal had to react to it, he had to go Mach 9 just to deflect all of it! And what more about the M4 Carbine is-

Wiz: …Ahem!

Boomstick: What?

Wiz: As much as we would love to listen to you go on and on about the M4, we have a job to do.

Boomstick: Fiiiiinnne...

Wiz: Anyways, for all of D'vorah's many feats and victories under her nonexistent belt, she's not perfect. As Boomstick mentioned earlier, things like fire or electricity can fry both her and her bugs, negating her regeneration. And not only that, but it's implied that she has the capability of being killed without the use of either fire or lightning, as seen in the MKX Comic when Kotal Kahn was going to kill her and in MK11 with Jade threatening to kill her after she defeated her.

Boomstick: Plus despite her having a decent win/loss ratio in the series, most of her victories were against jobbers like Baraka and Tanya. And not all of her battles were Flawless, as she did lose to Cassie Cage, the as previously mentioned Jade, and Scorpion, with his death mostly thanks to her sneak attacking him with poison. Wait a minute, doesn't that mean she doesn't scale to hi-

Wiz: Still was capable of harming him in MKX, Boomstick.

Boomstick: SHIT!

Wiz: But don't let this fool you in thinking she's some joke, as she's one of the only few Mortal Kombat characters to have not die in the entire franchise, you know besides Local and Online fights. And all of that, as I mentioned earlier, is due to her being one thing:

Boomstick: A backstabbing traitor who has no loyalties to anyone?

Wiz: A deadly survivor.

D'Vorah: "What was it you said last time?"

Cassie: "You're the bug, I'm the windshield."

D'Vorah: "This One breaks windshields."

Beedrill[]

(Cue: Viridian Forest - Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! / Eevee! Music)

Wiz: The world of Pokémon. A place of beauty, mystery and discovery-

Boomstick: And one of the worst worlds to live in. You know, with all the universe destroying Gods, almost every single Ghost type Pokémon, all of Aloha, and giant ass bugs that can either kill you with toxic dust, steamroll your ass, or just slice or stab you to death, like today's combatant: Beedrill!

(Cue: Pokemon Red, Yellow, Blue Battle Music- Trainer)

Boomstick: Living deep in Viridian Forest, weighing in at 65 lbs. and with a height of 3 ft.! *Shudders* This duel Bug/Poison first starts it's life as a worm with a bubblegum addiction until it eventually turns into my worst fucking nightmare.

Wiz: Living in hives with it's fellow men, or bees in this case, Beedrills are extremely territorial, puncturing any Mon or Man who walks into their turf with their stingers. And despite being one of the earliest Pokémon to evolve, they're very capable of defending both their hive and themselves.

Boomstick: Back when they were wimpy little Weedles, they learn to use moves like the speed slowing String Shot, the berry eating Bug Bite, and Poison Sting. Take a fucking guess what the last one does. And when they evolve into Kakuna's, they learn the Harden technique to protect their immobile bodies from potential predators. What, were you expecting more from Kakuna? It literally can't move. It's doing the best it can.

Wiz: But when it finally bursts out of it's shell and becomes the mighty Beedrill, it learns devastating moves like the Fury Attack and it's signature technique, the Twineedle. While both are capable of hitting their foes multiple times in quick succession, there is a difference between them. You see, Fury Attack allows Beedrill to attack up to five times in a row, if they're lucky, while Twineedle only allows them to attack twice in a row. While at face value, it seems as if Twineedle is a Bug Type downgrade from Fury Attack, both strikes Twineedle has the possibility of poisoning their foe.

Boomstick: Now Pin Missile on the other hand IS just Fury Attack but it's now Bug Type. But neither even hold a candle compared to Fury Cutter, a move that gets stronger every time it hits it's mark. Now THAT'S Bug Type move I want.

Wiz: But what about Fell Stinger?

Boomstick: You mean the move where Beedrill that roids him up every time it defeat an opponent? That's not a bad one to have either. Wait a minute... I just realized how easier it would make hunting! Ok, forget Fury Cutter, I want something like Fell Stinger and I want it now!

Wiz: Calm down, Boomstick. We haven't even talked about his other moves, like the speed enhancing Agility, or moves like Laser Focus and Focus Energy, techniques where Beedrill, either through deep breaths or intense concentration, can focus and find enemy weak points, dealing critical damage to them, or even the poison inducing Toxic Spikes. You know now that I'm thinking about it, Beedrill has a lot of poison-inducing moves.

Boomstick: Hmm, not bad choices. But let's also not ignore moves like Assurance, where it doubles it's power against weakened foes, Endeavor, where Beedrill pulls an anime protagonist after getting their ass handed by the big bad and just FUCKS them up, and even Poison Jab, where it can poison it's fo- Holy shit, Beedrill does have a lot of poison-inducing moves.

Wiz: And that's not even going over Beedrill's own abilities, like Swarm, an ability that increases the power of all of Beedrill's Bug Type moves when weakened, and his special ability; Sniper, an ability that causes any critical hit he does to increases in power. With how powerful critical hits are, that's an amazing ability to have, especially if you have moves that allows you to get them more often.

(Cue: Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald - Gym Leader Battle Theme)

Boomstick: Now these moves and abilities are good and all, but they ultimately mean nothing without physical strength behind them. Thankfully, Beedrill has that in spades. But first, did you know that Rhyhorns can shatter mountains with ease? Despite being what is basically the the Pokémon version of a Rookie Level Digimon, that's pretty impressive. And guess what? Thanks to Beedrill's status as a fully evolved Pokémon, they should upscale that. And that's not the only Mon he can scale to that can mess with mountains, as even Pupitar is capable of toppling entire mountains!

Wiz: Not only that, Beedrills should be above the likes of Espurr, a Pokémon who's psychic powers are capable of destroying everything in that's within 100 meters of them, which should be at least 80 tons of TNT, due to their status of a fully-evolved Pokémon. But that's not all of what Beedrill can scale to.

Boomstick: Yeah, like the terrifying Tyranitar, a Pokémon who's capable of destroying giant mountains, both with and without raising just ONE OF IT'S HANDS, with ease! And that's not all, since even Machamp is in on the mountain train, seeing as they're capable of lifting mountains with just ONE HAND! Jesus Christ, these bastards are on some next level shit, I'll tell you what. "But Boomstick!" you might be saying. "Beedrill is so weak compared to those Pokémon. Why scale it to them?" Simple really: Humans are just built different in the Pokémon world.

Wiz: But to give an ACTUAL explanation, we've seen that Pokémon, regardless of whatever status they have, are capable of fighting other Pokémon who are stronger than them. From the both the show, the manga, and even the Pokédex, everything points to regular Pokémon scaling to one another. And as my co-host said, humans are capable of scaling to said regular Pokémon too.

Boomstick: As multiple pieces of Pokémon media have shown, especially in Legends: Arceus, humans can take a beating from other Pokémon and still keep on kicking. It honestly does not matter what species or status you have in the Pokémon World, you either adapt or you die. And humans decided to choose the former. It's gotten to the point where they can full-on hug Magcargo. You know, the Pokémon that's hotter than THE FUCKING SUN!

Wiz: Humans are not only capable of taking hits from Pokémon, they can even dodge attacks from them as well, and they're capable of firing and dodging beams of light. And thanks to his typing, the lively Grass Types, the mythical Fairy Types, and even the mindful Psychic Types fall before it's power, with types like Fighting, Grass, and other Bug and Poison can't do any sort of serious harm to him. Though in the same breathe, types like Fire, Flying, Rock, and Psychic are one of the most dangerous things to Beedrills.

Boostick: And that's not even going over stuff like Beedrills can't really poison other Poison types like itself, due to them already being used to it, and moves like Fell Stinger only really work it's magic if they beat someone, meaning that it's pretty useless in a one on one fight. But at the end of the day, there's a reason why whenever you piss off a Beedrill, you run like hell.

*Shows a clip of a bunch of Kakunas evolving into Beedrills before Ash, Misty, and Samurai's eyes.*

Interlude[]

Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set. We've gathered and ran the data through all possibilities, so let's end this debate once and for all.

Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!

Death Battle[]

Pre-Fight[]

Location: Viridian Forest

(Cue: Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen- Viridian Forest)

A portal is seen opening in the forest as a humanoid creature walks out of it. This was the treacherous Kytinn: D'vorah, and after the defeat of Shao Kahn at the hands of that shaolin monk, she needed to go into hiding and wait until everything has cooled down before returning to Outworld. As she was checking her surrounding, thinking if this place would be useable for a new Hive, she hears someone. "Wow! Is that a new Bug Type?" She turns around and sees a Bug Catcher near by her. The Bug Catcher throws a Poké Ball at her, which she pierces with her stinger, as well as the trainer's skull with their brain still stuck on it. "This One is not amused..." She says as she rips the brain off of her stinger and slams it into the ground, turning it into a red splat on the ground. That's when she spots something interesting on a near by tree.

She walks over to the tree and spots three Kakunas on it. Thinking them as a free meal for her new Hive, she goes to grab them. But before she could touch them, she instinctively leaps away from them as a Beedrill comes out from the tree and attempts to pierce her. "So then, you've already claimed this place for your Hive?" She says. "Such a waste to an inferior species!" She then starts to go into a fighting stance. "Don't worry, This One shall soon correct it!" Beedrill then pulls it's arm stinger from the ground and rushes towards D'vorah.

FIGHT![]

(Cue: Pokémon Red, Blue & Yellow - Champion Battle Music)

KO![]

Conclusion[]

Next Time...[]

Trivia[]

  • The fight's animation would be hand drawn.
  • The fight's soundtrack would be "For the Hive", as reference that Beedrills and Kytinns are insects that live in hives. I don't know what the cover would be.
  • Y3p owo likes Beedrill's sprite instead of Beedrill's 3D model.
  • Special thanks to Smaggle for the Sub-Zero calc. (I greatly appreciate it dude!)
