- D'Vorah's name likely stems from Devorah, an ancient girl's name with Hebrew origins meaning “bee.” It may also be of Spanish influence like with other MK characters (such as Mavado and Bo'Rai Cho), as D'Vorah resembles "devora" (Spanish for 'to devour').
- D'Vorah was a traitor twice. First she was a traitor to Mileena and sided with Kotal Kahn and then was a traitor to him and sided with Shinnok.
- However, she is considerably hated by the MK fandom for her penchant for treachery and killing Scorpion.
