History[]
Colonel Ives was a member of the U.S. Army in the second quarter of the nineteenth century, and was facing death from tuberculosis. But, his world changed when a native scout told him about the legend of the Wendigo. It seems that when a human eats the flesh of another human, he or she steals that person’s strength.
The idea intrigued Col. Ives, so he decided to try it...he ate the scout. To his amazement, he found that the story was true, and he gained the man’s strength. Unfortunately, he also found that the rest of legend was true as well, and he acquired an insatiable hunger for more human flesh.
He took the job of leading a wagon train through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, but he led them through a bad pass, and when the wagons became snowbound, he began to eat the party. Once he had eaten all of the members of the party, he travelled through the snow to Fort Spencer, a small Army outpost in the mountains with a skeleton crew of seven men.
Disguising himself as “F.W. Colqhoun,” he told the story of what happened to the wagon train, but informed them that his wife was still alive and trapped with Col. Ives. Col. Hart, commanding at Fort Spencer, took four men, and followed Colqhoun into the wilderness. Eventually, Colqhoun attacked the party, with only a Captain John Boyd escaping.
He realized that Boyd was also a Wendigo, so he journeyed to Fort Spencer in his guise as Col. Ives and took over as its commanding officer. Ives had decided that he could use the fort as a basis of operation, eating immigrants travelling though, and perhaps making some converts. It turns out that only one man stands in Ives’s way, Cap. Boyd.

Col. Ives is a Caucasian male standing 5’8” tall, with dark brown hair and eyes.
Powers and Abilities[]
Ives’s curse makes him something of a super-charged person. He is strong beyond normal human limits, can move faster than a normal person, and can heal very rapidly from physical damage.
Weapons and Equipment[]
Col. Ives is very good at using any item that comes to hand as a weapon, though he does seem to prefer killing with his bare hands. This might be to show off his superior abilities given to him by his cannibalism.
