Mad? Oh, yes, the traditional accusation! And next you'll be telling me it's all because I'm misunderstood! All the great monsters were misunderstood! Mr. Hyde-- Frankenstein's creation-- Dracula-- The Golem-- all of them! But not me! Not Basil Karlo! Not the Ultimate Clayface! My intentions will be clear from the start! I will take what I want-- when I want it! And any who stand in my way shall-- burn!
~ Clayface - Detective Comics #607 (November, 1989)

Your power is useless. I am a force of nature unto myself.
~ Clayface to Geo-Force - Outsiders Vol. 4 #22 (November, 2009)

Fanon Wiki Ideas So Far[]

Possible Opponents[]

History[]

Basil Karlo was a horror actor who went mad when he heard the film studio he worked at was remaking HIS classic horror film Dread Castle, even though he was to be one of the advising staff. Donning a clay mask and murdering the cast like their characters in the script, he was stopped by Batman & Robin. Years later, after the Clayface name was taken up by shapeshifting mud creatures, Karlo brought them all together as the "Mud Pack" in order to gather their genetic material and become the "Ultimate Clayface." The experiment was a success, Karlo transforming into a mud creature himself with all the powers of the other Clayfaces.
