Cinder vs Sub-Zero is a What-If? episode of Death Battle.
Description[]
Killer Instinct vs Mortal Kombat! These two men where living nomral lives, until something happened that changed them into the wielder of the elements of Good and Evil! Will the Lin Kuei overcome the burning experiement of UltraTech, or will he burnt to ashes along with Cinder's other foes!?
Interlude[]
Wiz: Imagine right now, you're living a normal life. But somethings changes, maybe you were caught, kidnapped. Forced to become a force of the elements.
Boomstick: Yeah I know who I would be! Beer Man! Master of the Beer Universe!
Wiz: Sighs Cinder, the flaming UltraTech experiment!
Boomstick: And Sub-Zero, AKA Kuai Liang and Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei! He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armors, and skills to find out who would win, a Death Battle!
Cinder[]
Credit for the info on Cinder goes to Dimension-Dino on DeviantArt.
Wiz: Ben Ferris was a solider who after a successful and distinguished military career, decided to become a mercenary for hire.
Boomstick: But unlike James Bond, he didn’t use his skills to aid the government and did some pretty shady stuff whilst working for corrupt cooperations and CEOs, but hey, he was getting paid lots for his work, so who gives a shit?!
Wiz: However, his life changed forever when he got a call to infiltrate the mysterious cooperation, Ultratech, for a large sum of money in order to gather information on their latest scheme, ‘Project Cinder’. After becoming an Ultratech employee, Ben volunteered to be tested for the project.
Boomstick: Ben was then fused with alien technology and DNA, which transformed him into the fire-spewing heat emitting being known as...Cinder.
Wiz: With his transformation complete, Cinder became an enforcer for Ultratech, agreeing to aid them in their schemes for global domination.
Boomstick: I have a lot of questions about this guy’s biology. Why is his skin made out of rock and ash?? Were his organs replaced by molten lava?? Oh, and most importantly, WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS DIC~
Wiz interrupts.
Wiz: Boomstick, why are you so fascinated by this guy?!
Boomstick: Wiz, he’s a walking talking fire person. How could you not be fascinated by him?! You’re a scientist, I thought you of all people would be interested in his biological makeup??
Wiz: Sighs Anyways, as a result of his military training, Cinder is skilled hand to hand combatant. He usually engages and defeats his opponents with high speed and multi-combo attacks.
Boomstick: To help him in combat, Cinder has a number of deadly techniques, like the Pyroblob, lumps of plasma that can be chucked on and attached to foes and then remotely detonated like a grenade and if he wants to get up close and personal with his enemies, he can hit them with the Fire Flash, an upward flip-kick and anti-air attack laced with fire!
Wiz: With the Trailbrazer, Cinder zooms towards the opponent like a rocket, whilst the Crossfire is a flaming wheel kick. The Fission technique allows Cinder to form two Pyroblobs and smash them together creating a close-range explosion to damage targets. Cinder can also alter the composition of his body to temporarily become intangible and allow projectiles to pass through him and even turn invisible, enabling him to catch his opponents off guard.
Boomstick: There’s also the Inferno move, where Cinder releases streams of fire and chemical energy to incinerate whatever poor bastard is standing in his way. He can also temporarily increase the strength of his attacks using his ‘Flame On’ mode. Come on Killer Instinct developers, did you have to rip off that line from Marvel?!
Wiz: Cinder’s ultimate technique is his Instinct Mode: Pyromania. This allows him to increase the strength of his attacks for longer periods of time than his ‘Flame On’ mode would allow and also enables him to light his opponent’s limbs on fire if they become damaged enough, injuring them further and causing them more pain if they attempt to attack him using their flaming limbs.
Boomstick: Shit, that’s pretty damn brutal! You’d think his opponents would need to have their limbs amputated after that!
Wiz: Speaking of brutal attacks, Cinder can finish off his opponents using his ‘No Mercies’. He can either launch a fiery blob at his foe’s feet that forms into a fiery acid puddle and melts them or simply launch a stream of flames at his enemies that sets them ablaze.
Boomstick: No wonder the Killer Instinct franchise had to reboot, it was making itself out to be a PG version of Mortal Kombat!
Wiz: Cinder has his fair share of impressive feats. He managed to infiltrate and spy on Ultratech for several years, despite it being a very technologically advanced organisation, has put up a good fight against the boxer TJ Combo and has matched the icy alien, Glacius in combat multiple times.
Boomstick: But...he has a habit of being pretty cocky, often preferring to toy with opponents and come up with nicknames for them rather than getting the job done and actually killing them. His ‘Flame On’ mode also requires a ten second recharge time during which his attacks will be significantly weaker, allowing opponents to potentially overpower him. His fiery body is also held together by armoured plates, so if he encounters an opponent strong enough to break them, he’s screwed. Lastly, he’s not a physically strong combatant, usually relying on his speedy combat style to lead him to victory.
Wiz: Still, if you attempt to cross Ultratech on Cinder’s watch, chances are you’re going to get roasted!
Cinder: I would not want to be you today!
Sub-Zero[]
Wiz: The Mortal Kombat universe is filled to the brim with gruesome demises. Being cut to pieces by Tarkatan blades, set ablaze by a fiery hellspawn...
Boomstick: Or for the least fortunate, freezing to death. And no, I'm not talking about some frost bite from the Arctic, but at the hands of the cryomancer Sub-Zero.
Wiz: But Sub-Zero is a codename that has been shared by several warriors of the Lin Kuei clan. The first recorded Sub-Zero was encountered decades prior to the Mortal Kombat tournament in Earthrealm by Shujinko...
Boomstick: Oh yeah, that kid who became that old bearded guy. The next to be called Sub-Zero was Bi-Han, the eldest of two brothers adopted into the clan... and by adopted, I mean kidnapped as children.
Wiz: Bi-Han was the Lin Kuei's deadliest assassin by far and was as cold-blooded as his codename would imply. It was with his aid that his clan finally succeeded in wiping out their rival splinter group, the Shirai Ryu.
Boomstick: And then there was one survivor... well, I mean one died, but came back... Hazno Hasashi, AKA Scorpion, who returned in the Mortal Kombat tournament and took his revenge on Bi-Han.
Wiz: Unknown to Scorpion, Bi-Han had a younger brother named Kuai Liang, who swore to avenge his eldest sibling's death. He discarded his original codename of Tundra and took up his brother's mantle to honor his memory.
Boomstick: When he showed up in the 2nd tournament, it worked so well that everyone assumed Bi-Han was back from the dead... even Scorpion... but Kuai Liang's definitely his own Chinese ninja warrior.
Wiz: Kuai Liang's well-versed in Shotokan karate and Dragon kung-fu, but they are at their deadliest when combined with his cryomantic abilities.
Boomstick: By freezing the moisture in the air, Subby can pull off over 20 icy moves. I'm talking freezing the ground to slip or trap foes, as well as using it for his own slip 'n slide, firing icy projectiles and freezing ice blasts, forming ice daggers and hammers, and creating ice sculptures of himself.
Wiz: These statues remain in place...
Boomstick: Even in mid-air... somehow...
Wiz: And can freeze an opponent in place upon touching them. He can also use them as a solid projectile by throwing them himself, as well as create sliding clones and falling clones while in the air.
Boomstick: He can also teleport, create large nuggets of ice to drop on his opponent's heads, launch opponents into the air with an underground pillar of cold air, knocks foes back with bursts of ice, and can trip or shoulder charge into them.
Wiz: His cryomancer abilities go beyond simple offense, enabling Sub-Zero many means with which to defend against and even counter strikes. His Barrier of Frost can not only stop enemy projectiles, but also freeze melee attackers.
Boomstick: And he can cover himself in ice to stop damage while blocking and with even more power can reduce any damage taken while active. Plus, it causes his Ice Burst and Slide to become further enhanced in power.
Wiz: Once his opponent's time is up, he has 13 different ways to finish his opponent, ranging from freezing and shattering his opponent to pieces, to tearing their head and spine from their bodies... or their entire skeleton.
Boomstick: Which he totally stole from Kano! No wonder he gave Subby his trademark scar.
Wiz: With his deadly abilities, he more than cemented himself as a fearsome warrior, but even having lived most of his life under a clan of assassins, Kuai Liang's growing morality led him to abandon his quest for revenge and even defy and abandon the Lin Kuei.
Boomstick: Which was partially because he didn't want to become an awesome cyborg, but also due to wanting to save his realm from Shao Kahn's invasion. But when that was all said and done, he came back home, kicked out the clan's current grandmaster Sektor and reformed the Lin Kuei as a force for good.
Wiz: With his new position also came an increase of power with the Dragon Medallion, further enhancing his ice magic... but don't mistake it for being an artifact that any shmuck can use with equal efficiency. It requires both strength and discipline to utilize it successfully.
Boomstick: Don't believe us? Well another cryomancer, Frost, tried taking it from Sub-Zero to use for herself... and ended up frozen. Anywho, with the artifact, Kuai can create the Kori Blade, an icy sword strong enough to be swung into other weapons and block attacks without breaking.
Wiz: Both with and without the medallion, Kuai Liang not only surpassed his older brother, but also became a key player in defending Earthrealm. He has torn apart Lin Kuei cyborgs with his bare hands, defeated a majority of the series' ninja including Scorpion, held his own against Taven, a demi-god who had defeated dozens of his warriors in one sitting, and has enough control over his abilities to freeze multiple attackers all around him at once with one wave of cold air without accidentally freezing Taven.
Boomstick: He's fought Cassie Cage, Takeda, Jacqui Briggs, and Kung Jin back-to-back in a training regiment, dodged missiles, and survived a flamethrower to the face... as well as being impaled with two blades before being torched by hellfire. Damn, Kuai's one hell of a survivor.
Wiz: Indeed. He survived Cyrax's self-destruct by shielding himself with an ice barrier and once after a battle nearly to the death with Scorpion, he still had enough power to freeze his student Frost in place.
Boomstick: Then he got back up like nothing happened. Well I'd hate to rain... well, snow on his parade, but Sub-Zero's still just a mortal man. He's been killed in both timelines and has been overwhelmed by tag teams before. And even though he did defeat Goro and Kintaro at once, this was done when he was transformed into a cyborg, making one wonder whether or not he's truly at his best when he's just flesh and blood.
Wiz: Even with the Dragon Medallion on hand, his abilities are nowhere near the gods of the series. At the end of the day, Sub-Zero is not just a deadly combatant, but a honorable warrior who never hesitates to defend those who cannot defend themselves.
Boomstick: A good guy in a series all about murdering people? Huh, how about that?
Sub-Zero: Minus three degrees Celsius.
Skarlet: What is that?
Sub-Zero: The freezing point for blood.
Alternate end quote:
Sub-Zero: You have sought me out for training.
Leonardo: Every ninja knows you, Sub-Zero.
Sub-Zero: Only the best receive my instruction.
Pre Death Battle[]
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities.
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!
DEATH BATTLE![]
An UltraTech facility deep underground near the heart of a volcano. Cinder lied on a makeshift bed of rock, lounging with his arms behind his head.
Just then, alarms flared and Cinder, his relaxation disturbed, melted the bed of rock as he got to his feet. He saw a giant metal security door slowly began to freeze before...
SHATTER!
A small portion of it broke apart, allowing Sub-Zero to walk through it.
Cinder: Ah, look what we have here...
Sub-Zero turned, seeing the fiery being slowly walk towards him.
Cinder: How quaint. So what brings you here, ninja warrior?
The ninja pointed over to the lab, where several cybernetic experiments were taking place.
Sub-Zero: I'm here to stop these experiments. I won't allow another Cyber Initiative.
Cinder, however, was unmoved.
Cinder: Yeah, no. And for breaking our stuff, you have just two choices: give yourself up or I'll have to deal with you.
He emitted flames from both his hands.
Cinder: And trust me: I'm too hot for you to handle.
Sub-Zero began generating an aura of cold with his hands.
Sub-Zero: I am Sub-Zero, Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei. And I will not retreat.
Cinder: Taking Door #2, huh?
He pointed to himself.
Cinder: Well Cinder's the name and burning you's my game.
He flew straight at Sub-Zero like a fiery missile, then found an ice sculpture of his opponent in his place. He didn't bother slowing down or avoiding it and instead kept the course, smashing through it. Sub-Zero, a short distance away, saw not only that Cinder shattered his ice clone, but that it had no effect on him.
Seeing Cinder turn around, Sub-Zero fired ice which traveled across the ground and up one of Cinder's legs.
Cinder: Very cool...
He lifted his foot, breaking the ice off of him, then stomped the ground, melting the ice closest to him. He then leapt up into the air towards Sub-Zero.
Cinder: Got anything cooler?
He flew in with a fiery dive kick, to which Sub-Zero covered himself with a shield of ice. Once again, Cinder was not frozen on contact with it as Sub-Zero was then pushed back before rolling across the ground. Cinder threw a stream of fire from one of his hands, which Sub-Zero rolled out of the way of before running in for a punch.
With a tilt of his head, Cinder avoided it, then began blocking the next swings with his wrists. Sub-Zero then created axes of ice and swung them as quickly as he could, but Cinder continually dodged them. When Sub-Zero went for a dual axe swing, Cinder caught them with both hands, the axes slowly melting into little more than handles.
Cinder: Is that it, Subby?
He threw Sub-Zero behind him, then began generating an orb in his hand...
Cinder: I'm just getting warmed up.
The orb was launched at the ground right where Sub-Zero was landing, detonating at the snap of his fingers. The Lin Kuei Grandmaster was sent sliding across on his back as Cinder flew after him. Sub-Zero generated two ice daggers, stabbing them into the ground to slow himself. As Cinder went for a downward punch, Sub-Zero came to a stop and managed a slash to Cinder's chest. The other dagger struck afterward followed by the two stabbing into Cinder's chest. As he saw ice spread across Cinder's chest, he began generating an ice hammer.
However, Cinder still wouldn't freeze with the ice across his chest and the daggers stabbed into him melted away right as Sub-Zero took the swing. Cinder side-stepped the hammer swing, then backhanded Sub-Zero, leaving the hammer to stand on its own. Cinder then picked up Sub-Zero's own hammer and stomped it down onto his foot like a cane. He then grabbed hold of Sub-Zero's wrist, intending to burn it.
Cinder: You're a zero, alright!
But he was stunned to see ice forming across Sub-Zero's wrist, which seemed able to withstand even his hot temperature.
Sub-Zero: Do not take my name lightly.
His other hand created a pillar of ice, launching himself and Cinder into the air. Sub-Zero flipped, then kicked Cinder off him with both feet. Cinder broke his fall by hovering with his flames while Sub-Zero created a slide-like construct to land on. Cinder tossed a pyrobomb in Sub-Zero's direction, but he avoided it by firing ice at the ground, sliding across it, then around the projectile.
Cinder: Okay, you got moves.
He tossed several more at the ground, forcing Sub-Zero to swerve to avoid the incoming explosions they created. Sub-Zero then fired an ice projectile at Cinder, but before it struck, Cinder chuckled before seeming to turn intangile, the projectile traveling through him. Sub-Zero then fired an ice clone of himself, sliding like he was, at Cinder, only to see Cinder turning invisible before his very eyes.
Sub-Zero came to a stop, looking around for Cinder.
Cinder: Grandmaster Sub-Zero?
He zoomed past, Sub-Zero rolling to avoid it.
Cinder: Not really feeling it.
Two pyrobombs came for him, which he froze with ice before avoiding another fly-by.
Cinder: Grandmaster Blue Chill?
A fiercesome punch struck Sub-Zero, followed by a pyrobomb where he was about to land. He pushed himself upward with two ice pillars, launching himself over the explosion.
Cinder: Grandmaster Freezy Pop?
Sub-Zero threw a punch upon landing, but struck nothing as several pyrobomb stuck to his back. With a wave of ice released from his body, they froze right as Cinder snapped his fingers, instead creating little more than shards of shaved ice.
Cinder: Oh, I've got it:
Sub-Zero blocked hits from his invisible attacker, but when he went for a punch, nothing struck once again.
Cinder: Grandmaster Blueberry Ice.
After rolling under another fly-by, Sub-Zero then turned around and went for a booted kick, striking Cinder's stomach and making him visible once again. As Cinder stumbled, Sub-Zero shoulder-charged into him.
Sub-Zero: Only Johnny Cage may use that name and live.
Cinder saw Sub-Zero jumping towards him, then launching a falling ice clone. Cinder swerved to avoid it, then found Sub-Zero waiting for him and punching away. He seemed trapped in a combo at first until...
KI Announcer: CCC-COMBO BREAKER!!!
With an uppercut, Sub-Zero was knocked upward followed by a somesault kick, which struck him hard enough to hit the ceiling of the facility. As Sub-Zero fell, Cinder fired at the ground, creating a puddle of lava that melted away at it.
Sub-Zero regained control in midair, then with an ice blast from one hand, began freezing the lava below him. By the time he landed, his boots did not melt away as he then leapt at Cinder with his kori blade. Even as a pyrobomb was thrown at him, Sub-Zero sliced it, then flew through the ensuing detonation with a slash.
He landed, Cinder reeling from part of his waist appearing to separate.
Sub-Zero: Even your fire can be extinguished.
Cinder: Fire?
Sub-Zero saw the wound seemingly heal.
Cinder: I'm living plasma!
Now the flames emitting from his body grew and glowed even brighter than before.
Cinder: A living, breathing inferno!
Sub-Zero covered himself in ice as Cinder approached, but instead his fiery opponent grasped him by his neck with no ill effect.
Cinder: You can't freeze that!
He punched at his face thrice before Sub-Zero kicked himself out of his grip. He turned into ice and teleported away, but found Cinder flying towards him at high speed, tackling him.
Cinder: I'm too fast...!
He tossed Sub-Zero into the metal door the intruder broke before, then tossed a massive assortment of pyrobombs around him.
Cinder: And too explosive!
The explosion sent Sub-Zero flying back in Cinder's direction, who prepared an impending blast of intense heat. The moment Sub-Zero's feet touched the ground, he generated a shield of ice, as well as ice over his entire body. Cinder's stream of flames fired at last, Sub-Zero's ice somehow withstanding it.
Cinder: Impressive...
As the flames became even more intense, the ice shield was giving way.
Cinder: But no ice.
Sub-Zero fell back, the heat melting away at his icy armor. When he made it back to his feet...
He felt a burn in both his legs.
Cinder: Ain't athlete's foot...
Sub-Zero saw that his shins and feet were ignited, then as he moved his arms...
So were his wrists and hands.
Cinder: And it ain't hot hands neither.
Sub-Zero took a step and threw a punch, but Cinder could tell it was painful for him as he easily avoided it.
Cinder: Really burns you up, doesn't it?
He struck the back of one of Sub-Zero's legs, forcing him down and leaving him open to several swings to his face. An uppercut knocked him back onto his feet as Cinder then clapped his hands, causing an explosion that caused Sub-Zero to stumble back. During this, Cinder hopped backward, throwing a much more massive pyrobomb straight at Sub-Zero's face.
As it exploded, Sub-Zero's mask broke off, his ninja hood seared to reveal grey hair on his scalp, and his old face underneath suffered damage on the left side of his face especially. He crashed into a wall of rock with enough force to leave an indent as Cinder walked over with confidence.
Cinder: You look tired, old man.
Sub-Zero fell to his knees, his burning hands touching the ground. Cinder lifted up one foot, aimed for Sub-Zero's head.
Cinder: Let me put you to bed.
Just then, the Dragon Medallion began to glow...
...and Sub-Zero caught the downward kick. Both his arms were covered in an even thicker ice than before. Not just that, but Cinder felt an intense cold building up across his foot and his shin.
Sub-Zero: The heat is no less dangerous than the cold, pyromancer.
He pushed Cinder back, who landed, but still felt the chill and, even trying to ignite that area of his leg, saw that the ice remained.
Sub-Zero: But the chill of death will freeze even the most fiery of egos.
Cinder fired off streams of flame, but an ice blast suddenly froze them completely solid, dragging down Cinder's arms. Sub-Zero then ran in with a jumping knee to his head.
CRACK!
Cinder's mask broke off, revealing the skull-esque, yet forever in flux face that was once hidden behind it. He flew back, throwing pyrobomb after another at Sub-Zero, who put up an ice shield. It still stood bomb after bomb, after which Cinder stopped...
...then felt a chill behind him as Sub-Zero teleported to him, striking his back with two palms. Sub-Zero fired at the ground right as Cinder landed, his other foot now trapped by ice. Cinder lifted himself up as hard as he could, managing to free himself from the ground, but now both his legs were covered with ice.
Deciding he had enough, Cinder flew straight towards Sub-Zero, fists forward. This time, Sub-Zero fired a lone projectile, which not only trapped him in ice, but somehow kept him in place in midair. With a gut-punch, Sub-Zero launched him upward, shattering the ice. Once Cinder was freed, he swerved to avoid a beam-like blast, then fired as massive a stream of flames as he could muster.
Burns were more than apparent on the standing Sub-Zero's uniform, as well as his skin beginning to take on a red hue. Cinder had as close to a smile as he could visibly muster.
Cinder: Really BURNS YOU UP that you missed your shot, huh?
Even while Cinder was burning him where he stood, Sub-Zero still kept the same stance. The fiery warrior intended to watch him burned to a crisp...
...but he felt a chill forming above him. He turned his head just enough to look above him while still keeping the attack on Sub-Zero, then saw a massive clump of ice directly above him: the supposed missed attack was leading to that all along.
Once Sub-Zero broke off the stance and the beam was no more, the projectile fell directly on top of Cinder, the two crashing into the ground with a smoke-like mist of chill blanketing the area. Sub-Zero approached, the fire over his body slowly turning to ice, then shattering with each step.
By the time Cinder made it to his feet, Sub-Zero took hold of both his wrists, ice trapping them and his hands within seconds, the weight of which forced Cinder downward. Then with both ice-covered hands, Sub-Zero stabbed into Cinder's chest, withstanding even his body temperature.
Then, as Cinder feared, Sub-Zero reached his chest armor and tore it open, revealing even more plasma underneath which seemed to be becoming less stable as a result.
After a massive build-up of cold around him, Sub-Zero unleashed a wave of freezing air that did something Cinder couldn't believe...
His body began to freeze, his chest first, followed by his arms, waist, and neck. He took a few steps back while he could, but soon felt that if he took another step, his legs would break. Cinder kept himself from falling over before his lower body froze entirely, then felt his entire upper body numb while the freezing cold began to encompass his mouth.
Sub-Zero: You will be living plasma no longer.
Cinder couldn't move his head, but saw Sub-Zero going through with a sweeping kick. It shattered Cinder's frozen legs, leading to him falling downward, unable to stop the impending impact with the ground.
SCATTER!
It shattered his frozen body entirely, save for his head. Sub-Zero watched as the plasma which made up Cinder's head and face soon seemed to melt away, leaving only the armor that once held him together remaining.
K.O.!
Sub-Zero broke into the lab soon after, finding what he came for sitting on a table:
The helmet and head of Cyrax, which was wired to several machines.
Sub-Zero: You will be freed from this pain, my friend...
Results[]
Boomstick: Damn, I would definitely not want to be Cinder today after seeing what Sub just put him through!
Wiz: This battle was pretty interesting as both combatants have had experience against fighters with opposing elemental abilities, Sub-Zero having fought Scorpion and Cinder having clashed with Glacius.
Boomstick: At the beginning of the fight, Cinder’s speed and cocky nature allowed him to keep up with Sub-Zero who was still feeling out his abilities, however Sub’s superior strength and icy projectiles meant that Ben couldn’t afford to let his guard down around him.
Wiz: Cinder’s Pyromania and ‘Flame On’ techniques were his best chance at taking down Sub, but considering that the Ling Kuai Grandmaster is one tough cookie, these attacks likely wouldn’t be that dangerous to him. Having tried and failed using his trump card against Sub, Cinder would be forced to recharge his ‘Flame On’ mode which would leave him vulnerable to Sub’s onslaught.
Boomstick: And this is where the gap between the two would really widen. Cinder’s military training and experience against the likes of T.J. Combo and Glacius may be impressive, but Sub has had decades of martial arts training, aided in battling two supernatural armies and defeated the likes of Cassie Cage and Jacqui Briggs who have also had military training.
Wiz: Sub-Zero has also fought against the likes of Scorpion, who is essentially a more deadly version of Cinder and beaten him, so he wouldn’t have too much trouble fighting Ben and overpowering him.
Boomstick: But Wiz, Cinder’s fought against Glacius who also has ice powers. Ben’s experience against Glacius means that should have been able to beat Sub-Zero, right?
Wiz: While Cinder may have matched Glacius in combat before, he’s never outright defeated him and while Glacius may have ice powers, he doesn’t have the decades of combat experience and martial arts training that Sub-Zero possesses and so the comparison between the two isn’t very fair.
Boomstick: With Cinder on the back foot, the final question would be whether or not Sub could break through his armoured plates in order to finish him off and considering that Sub is strong enough to break titanium statues with a single karate chop, destroying Cinder’s armoured plates wouldn’t be that difficult for him.
Wiz: Overall, whilst Cinder’s speed and powerful techniques may have been impressive, Sub-Zero’s durability, strength and greater combat experience meant he could take whatever the fiery Ultratech enforcer could throw at him and respond with greater force, ultimately allowing the ice ninja to overpower Ben and take him down.
Boomstick: Looks like Cinder’s chances of victory ended up shattering before his eyes!
Wiz: The Winner is Sub-Zero.
