Chun-Li VS Felicia is a What if episode of Death Battle, featuring Chun-Li from Street Fighter and Felicia from Darkstalkers, in a fight between good-hearted fighting game heroines from Capcom.

Interlude[]

Boomstick: Chun-Li VS Felicia.

Wiz: The Street Fighter versus the Darkstalker.

Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Chun-Li[]

Boomstick: Street Fighter, the first fighting game and the best next to Mortal Kombat. The series is known for the iconic ki moves, the story about the best combatants, and of course creating the most awesome woman in video game history!

Wiz: Capcom designer Akira Nishitani noticed that there were no women in fighting games, and so was determined make a heroine with her fighting style, backstory and design perfected for the masses. Originally, she was just known as a Chinese Girl, but we all know her by a more "beautiful spring" name, Chun-Li.

Boomstick: And boy, did they do her well when she became a mainstay of the franchise and one of its most popular figures. When she was five, she watched her first Bruce Lee movie and got hooked on doing martial arts. Who doesn't love this guy? So, her detective dad was supportive enough to teach her basic exercises and she improved prodigally.

Wiz: Chun-Li's fighting style is based on many forms of Chinese martial arts, her favorite form is Tai Chi. Known for its slow, intentional movements, Tai Chi has practitioners worldwide and is particularly popular as a form of gentle exercise and moving meditation, with benefits to mental and physical health. Many forms of tai chi are practiced, both traditional and modern. While the precise origins are not known, the earliest documented practice--

Boomstick: She knows Kung Fu! Show them!

Wiz: Sure, that not important... Her signature moves are the Hyakuretsukyaku or Lightning Kick, the ability to throw multiple kicks in one sitting, and the Kaitenteki Kakukyakushu or Spinning Bird Kick, which similar to the famous Hurricane Kick, expect she turns on her head while her legs act as blades, spinning against opponent heads.

Boomstick: She's really a fan of kicking moves: Stomp Kicks, Axl Kicks, Whirling Circle Kicks and Heaven Rising Legs, and you can see why. Just look at them legs. She said they're the source of the power behind her strikes, the source of her pride. They're her unmistakable trademark. She is known for her very muscular thighs, which her moves even more hot!

Wiz: (clears throat) She also possesses ki moves, like the Kikoken, where shoot a small energy ball at an opponent that causes small damage. Depending on the game, the Kikoken will not always reach across the entire screen, fizzling out after a certain distance.

Boomstick: Don't worry, we're ramping up. For stronger opponents, she can make the Kikosho, where she makes a large ki ball that stays on her palms that causes a small wind-tunnel effect, all while done from Chun-Li turning and swinging her palms at her target. And that's just the toned-down version.

Wiz: With all of these techniques and super moves, Chun-Li became a detective by the age of 18 in hopes of finding her father, who's disappeared after uncovering a drug-trafficking arm. She investigated the crime syndicate Shadaloo and confronted their leader M. Bison, but he quickly defeats her and fled. With tears in her eyes, she swore vengeance.

Boomstick: Totally relatable to me. She teamed up with Air Force members Charlie and Guile and set out to track down that dad killer and his gang. And she's tough enough to do just that. There's a reason why she's called the Strongest Woman in the World.

Wiz: Comparable to the likes of Zangief, who has no issues picking up and piledriving Bears, her attacks created a crater, and she caved in the top of a car while battling her former adversary, Cammy White.

Boomstick: You know, Bison's doll clone power who possessed the good side of Psycho Power?

Felicia[]

Wiz: Darkstalkers, this is the term for the monsters who hide in the shadows, unable to coexist to the humans who fear them.

Boomstick: But while some of them are dicks were pleasure in suck their blood and souls, others just want peace and lives worth living. One of them is the werecat or catwoman, Felicia.

Wiz: Based off of Edward Field's 1967 poem, The Curse of the Catwoman, Felicia was the one of the two playable female characters of the first game, who was originally designed to be the sex figure, but switch that position with the succubus Morrigan Aensland, and became someone cuter.

Boomstick: Though the Dancing Pretty Beast looks curvaceous and has little fur on (clears throat) her most important parts, she's actually modest, energetic and optimistic, concepted by Haruo Murata to be the purest good of the Darkstalkers, since most of them are usually villains or anti-heroes.

Wiz: She's inspired by the yokai Bakeneko or Changed cat from Japanese Folklore. They started out as normal cats but grew up to have supernatural powers and the ability to assume the appearance of human beings.

Boomstick: And this anime inspired cat girl was lucky enough to not be completely rejected by the human world. But she was still afraid of making friends, since the people were still prejudice still Darkstalkers for being different. Feeling alone, she really starts to question her existence and what she did to deserve this. Hey, we all have to have in existential crisis someday. Then, watching her favorite musical stars, she sees that if she was on stage, just maybe people would love her.

Wiz: Her catholic nun caretaker Sister Rose - or Ceclia - has taught her that one has to attain happiness on their own. After her mother passed away, she makes her own path, wishing for peaceful coexistence with Darkstalkers and humans alike. To bridge between the two races, she pursues her dream of becoming a musical star, famous throughout the world. And to her affectionate audience it made no difference when she's a Darkstalker or a human, thus starting her satisfying life.

Boomstick: Aw, that's sweet. But back to the whole fighting game style! It's not all easy work for her, since she has to face other Darkstalkers and help fight to save the world and all races from certain doom.

Wiz: And when it comes to combat, Felicia is very agile with her techniques, athletic and gymnastic naturally.

Boomstick: Even cats need to know a little martial art these days. At least that's what she said.
