History[]

Death Battle Info[]

  • Name: Chara Dreemur, (First) name dependent on what the player names them. The "Dreemurr" part of the name comes from being adopted by Asgore and Toriel.
  • Age: Young child upon time of death.
  • Gender: Left ambiguous.
  • Occupation: The Fallen Child.

Powers / Abilities[]

(ORIGIN: Chara (Undertale) - Villains Wiki)

  • Determination: As a human being, Chara naturally has determination.
  • Self-Face Manipulation: Able to shift between hollow eyes and a distorted, melting face.
  • ERASE & Recreation: Chara can seemingly destroy the Underground (or potentially even the world, via "ERASE") with a powerful slash. Later on, Chara offers a deal to recreate the world if the player/Frisk gives their SOUL to Chara.
    • SOUL Manipulation/Connection: As part of the deal to recreate the Underground, Chara asks for the player/Frisk's SOUL in return. They are also implied to share the same "human soul" as said previously.
  • Intimidation: Even as a little child, Chara could make "scary faces" as they made one to Asriel in the second tape found in the true labs. They also make one to the player during the Genocide Run.
  • Manipulation: Chara was able to convince Asriel to follow their plan using some quite underhanded methods, by calling out Asriel for crying and getting to them to say “big kids don’t cry”. They also make Asriel put their faith in him as seen in making him say he would never doubt them. Regardless if Chara loved/cared about him, it is still manipulative.
  • Intelligence: Chara came up with a brilliant plan to gain godhood and free monsterkind that only failed due to Asriel's resolve to not take a single life.

Speculated Powers/Abilities[]

  • Non-Corporeality: Chara makes an appearance at the end of the Genocide Route, though it’s unclear if Chara has a true physical body considering that they have been dead for an extended period of time. It is also speculated that Chara is a ghost that narrates in the game. In New Home during Genocide, the text appears more personal and even has red text, very likely Chara talking (at least for the red text).
  • Possession: Frisk is depicted near the conclusion of the Soulless Pacifist Route with red eyes, rosy cheeks, and a smile, suggesting Chara had possessed them at that precise moment due to the player/Frisk selling their SOUL to Chara. If this is true, it can be said that Chara can only take control of someone if they have access to their SOUL.
  • 4th Wall Awareness: The fact that Chara states "You made your choice long ago," implying memory, after you complete a second Genocide Route and click "DO NOT" suggests that Chara is possibly aware of what the Player does to some extent, considering a post-Genocide ending has a severe impact on the game, which Chara reminds the Player of what they have done.
  • Conceptual Symbolic Connection/Embodiment: When the Player/Frisk’s ATK, EXP, GOLD, LOVE, etc increases, Chara says they are the "feeling" in question. Though, it’s not certain whether Chara was being literal or metaphorical.
  • Temporal Immunity/Protection: Chara is seemingly unaffected by the RESET and ERASE functions, more particularly post-Genocide, and still retain their memories.

Overall, Chara acts similar to the "Deal With The Devil" trope at the end of the Genocide Route—initially appearing as a creepy, powerful entity (somewhat like a "Pseudo-Demon") who can destroy the Underground (or possibly higher) and makes a deal with the player/Frisk by having their SOUL in return of restoring the Underground, with said deal coming at a price (Frisk lacking a SOUL and being potentially possessed by Chara) to remind the player of what they have done. With that being said, Chara’s status and character are generally very ambiguous, and their true powers and abilities are debatable.

Weapons / Armors[]

Due to Chara's incredibly high LOVE stat after Frisk committed genocide, any attack by Chara, using any weapon and armor at all, becomes incredibly, immeasurably powerful.

  • Real Knife/Worn Dagger: Implied to belong to Chara, this knife is very powerful, having a stat of 99 ATK in the Genocide Route. This weapon is able to destroy the entire game in one single strike. However, the weapon only does 15 ATK during the Pacifist and Neutral Routes.
  • The Locket/Heart Locket: Also implied to belong to the Fallen Child, this item grants a 99 DF stat in Genocide. However, similar to the former, the armor only does 15 DF stat in the Pacifist/Neutral.

Feats[]

  • Destroyed / Reset the entire game in one hit (With or without Frisk's Soul) After the Genocide Route, he infects every timeline after that, and can only be rid of if you alter the Game Files. This move is similar to a True Reset, except with one exception (They infect every single timeline after the "True Reset" after Frisk lent them their SOUL, and this is the only reason the True Reset is unable to affect them).
    • Upon relaunching the game after Chara destroyed the world, the game now only has a black screen with the sound of howling wind. The inputs do nothing here. There are no menus. No buttons, nothing. The world is no more.
    • After 10 minutes of waiting on the blank screen, Chara notes the player's return to the game, showing that they're completely unaffected by their own attack.
    • May have killed Flowey without any effort (Though he was in his normal form, not the Photoshop one thus is easy to kill as confirmed by neutral endings)
      • However, the person killing Flowey could have been Frisk as well.
    • Able to restore the world with everyone's memories erased, including Flowey.
  • Only one direct strike from Chara is seen in-game, which deals an unmeasured amount of damage (Somewhere beyond 9^112) to a human soul (which, in-game, equates to the souls of every monster in the underground combined).
  • Returned to existence after years of not existing due to Frisk's entrance into The Underground.

Weaknesses[]

  • They need someone who has a strong enough determination, and before they could actually manifest physically, they needed a host until they could reach a sufficient enough power.
  • If someone else is more determined than them, they'll lose their ability to reset.

What level is Chara? Multiversal? Universal+?[]

Almost as hotly debated than the famous "I can blow away the whole solar system!" statement by Cell is whatever level Chara is on. Usually, it ranges between just Universal+ (A single timeline) to Multiversal (10^500 timelines/universes), and it is quite a controversial issue in VS Debating. There are others who will argue for other levels, such as Multiversal+, but Universal+ and Multiversal are the most common. Chara's scaling will also determine Flowey's (Omega form) scaling, considering Flowey is more powerful than Chara.

Arguments for Chara being Multiversal:
