Description[]
Adrien Agreste and Tommy Oliver. AKA Cat Noir and the Green Ranger. These 2 show that despite their histories, they can still be superheroes if you have the heart of a good person. And the powers they are given are a testament to their will to protect others. But who would win? Would the power of Plagg give Adrien a Miraculous victory or would the Morphing Grid give Tommy the Power to seize the win?
Intro[]
Wiz: Adrien Agreste. Paris' Miraculous Cat Noir.
Boomstick: Tommy Oliver. The Mighty Morphing Green Ranger.
Wiz: Superheroes can come from all shapes and sizes. Whether it be adults with a sense of justice, aliens from beyond the stars or...
Boomstick: Or freaking teenagers. Though despite their troubling past, so long as they got the heart of a hero they would pull through some of the most dangerous of challenges in order to save others. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their Weapons, Armor and Skills to see who would win a Death Battle.
Cat Noir gets his Claws Out for Death Battle[]
Wiz: Throughout history, several cultures from around the world have spouted out many myths and legends. Greek, Egyptian, Hindu, Buddism, and many more have created many characters of epic perportions. However what many people don't know is that the legends aren't always what they appear to be.
Boomstick: It's wasn't like they didn't do it at all though, it's more or less that they didn't do it by themselves with their own power. Or in this case, with the power from another. Yep, all our favorite mythological heroes are secretly Lance Armstrong cheaters.
Wiz: This is because they draw upon the power of a powerful, yet not so out of the ordinary objects called Miraculous, with each Miraculous being powered by a Kwami. Tiny organisms that embody concepts of the universe. And when combined with their respective Miraculous, they can grant superpowers to whoever uses them.
Boomstick: There have been many Miraculous throughout the years, each one supplying a different power. You got a Monkey Miraculous who can jam powers, a Horse Miraculous who can create portals, a Bee Miraculous that can immobilize their targets, you get the gist.
Wiz: But among the many Miraculous perhaps none are quite as dangerous as the Black Cat Miraculous, who wields the power of destruction.
Boomstick: A Cat who wields the power of Destruction? Are we talking about Beerus?
Wiz: Plagg actually. Though I don't blame you for the connection. Despite his love for wrecking havoc and destruction, the only thing he finds more appealing... is food. Or more specifically, cheese. Kind of like you with your alcohol addiction.
Boomstick: HEY IT'S NOT AN ADDICTION IT'S A CHOICE!!! There have been many people who wore the Cat Miraculous, but the current bearer of the power lies with a boy named Adrien.
Wiz: Adrien Agreste's life is more complicate than it would appear at first glance. Despite being the son to famous fashion designer Gabriel Agreste, Adrien was isolated from the public for many years.
Boomstick: I mean his dad did kind of went crazy after his wife's untimely death, so it wasn't really on him to blame. But anyways, what he really wanted most was to go out into the world and discover himself.
Wiz: And he would, just not in the way he would expect. After helping out an old man who just so happened to be the Guardian of the Miraculous, Adrien proved he had a heart for goodness. It was there he was gifted Plagg and the Miraculous and the 2 were basically a perfect fit for each other.
Boomstick: Kind of a good time for him to get it though. You see, some purple clad named Hawk Moth was rampaging through the city in search for his Miraculous and the Ladybug Miraculous, the Miraculous of Creation. For whoever wields both, can wish for whatever they wish for. Sort of like the Dragon Balls, but with jewelry.
Wiz: Well to be more specific he uses people's negative emotions along with his Miraculous, the Moth Miraculous, to create monsters of negative emotions called Akumas.
Boomstick: The Street Fighter?
Wiz: No. With the threat on the rise, Adrien was forced into action. And by shouting the phrase "Plagg, Claws Out", Adrien and Plagg combine into the superhero known as "Cat Noir".
Boomstick: Now I know what you are thinking, "That name totally suck." And I do agree with you, but I'm pretty sure Marvel already took the better name in 1966.
Wiz: Though taking on Hawk Moth wasn't a one man mission. Which is why the Guardian of the Miraculous granted another with the Ladybug Miraculous: Marinette Dupain-Cheng, who would dawn the Ladybug Miraculous to become... Ladybug.
Boomstick: Oh and here I though Cat Noir was a lazy name. Well the 2 made for an excellent duo, kicking Akuma's asses left and right. And as the 2 fight together, well... let's just say he wanted Ladybug to be a bit more than a partner. But unfortunately she keeps rejecting him. Pretty weird since Marinette equally has the hots for Adrien as much as Cat does for Bug.
Wiz: Sexual preferences aside, Ladybug and Cat Noir made for an amazing duo that perfectly encapsulated each other's strength and weaknesses. Whereas Ladybug is much more creative with her surroundings, Cat Noir is more proficient at destruction.
Boomstick: I mean that's the whole point of his powers. He has your typical superpowers like enhanced strength, speed, endurance and near invulnerability, but his Miraculous power does give a few unique abilities. Like how he can hear objects much better than a regular human and even has night vision. You know, things that cats have that humans suck at.
Wiz: While he is trained in the art of fencing, his primary weapon is a special staff which can expand in length and act as a communicator with allies. He can spin it fast enough to deflect objects thrown at him or even fast enough to hover in the air for extended periods of time. But he does have one power that dwarfs all his other abilities. A special power called "Cataclysm".
Boomstick: Hehe, get it? Well anyways Cataclysm lets him channel the destructive power Plagg utilizes. With it, anything he touches with his right hand will crumble and decompose into oblivion.
Wiz: Well no he doesn't really decompose his objects for depending on what he's using it on can have different side effects. When used on technology it results in the tech going haywire or when used on a human it can causes them to decay into ashes. Pretty dangerous though it does have a giant downside. He can only uses this power once every power up, and it does utilize a lot of energy. So much so that he would revert back into Adrien after 5 minutes after using it.
Boomstick: He can only do it once AND can only last for 5 minutes? Jeez, if him and Ladybug/Marinette were to ever be a thing I can't see their relationship lasting for long. Thankfully all he needs to do is feed his Cat God Pet a piece of camembert to reenergize him.
Wiz: And depending on what he feeds Plagg it could have some influence when he's Cat Noir, which lets him take on foes in different environments. Such as letting him breath and maneuver underwater or even withstand freezing temperatures along with a pair of ice-skates.
Boomstick: My favorite one is where he dawns a pair of sweet wings. Letting him fly at speeds fast enough to reach space in only a matter of seconds.
Wiz: It was with these powers that allowed him to face whatever Akuma was sent his way. Whether it's against giant monsters, ice skaters, animal beasts or even his own doppelgänger, he always finds a way to pull through or lend a hand.
Boomstick: Yeah he's basically the 2nd wheel of the 2 with Ladybug coming up with the ideas. I wouldn't be to mad though cause he's sort of not the brightest. Which did landed him doing many wack stuff, some of which involve are trying to get underneath Ladybug's suit.
Wiz: He would even temporarily drop being Cat Noir so he could be a different Miraculous Hero in order to get closer to Ladybug. It was during this time where he was temporarily gifted the Snake Miraculous, along with the Kwami; "Sass".
Boomstick: Woah Woah Woah. There is a Kwami who's name is literally Sass? That's awesome. Too bad his attitude doesn't live up to the name. But back on topic, by saying the phrase "Sass, Scales Slither" he becomes the hero Asskick.
Wiz: Aspik.
Boomstick: Asskick is better. Though I don't get why his main weapon is a harp.
Popup: While Adrien did temporarily had access to the Ladybug and Rabbit Miraculous, he was only able to access them only under extreme circumstances. For this fight, he will only have access to the Snake Miraculous as it was not only under the most reasonable circumstances but also due to him having it in his possession on multiple occasions.
Wiz: It's a Lyre actually though I doubt you know anything about musical instruments. While as Aspik he does carry some traits that Cat Noir has, but he possesses one of the most powerful abilities out there; Second Chance. By setting a point in time, he is able to travel back in time to the exact point he set.
Boomstick: Best part is, he can do this as many times as he wants so long that he uses it within 5 minutes. So much for the name Second Chance, this dude has all the chances in the world.
Wiz: And he was able to take this power even further. As in he can utilize both Plagg and Sass' power at the same time. By saying the phrase "Plagg, Sass, Unify" Adrien can take up the power of them both to become "Snake Noir".
Boomstick: As Snake Noir he gains access to the best qualities of both Cat Noir and Aspik, having access to both Cataclysm and All the Chances. While the full extent of this transformation is unclear, it does provide him a greater boost than both Cat Noir and Aspik.
Wiz: Even without any additional Miraculous, Cat Noir is a powerhouse. Having saved Paris hundreds of times. He's quick enough to jump off of cannonballs, survived getting smashed through concrete, and strong enough to lift a car out of the water.
Boomstick: He's fought some extremely powerful foes too. Like Ikari Garden, a building size Akuma that can knock down skyscrapers or Stormy Weather who created a storm over all of Paris and even made a giant volcano. But he's not really at his strongest without the use of Cataclysm, which he's used to break down buildings. Kind of impressive as it's powered by a tiny cheese enthusiast.
Wiz: Well that's not entirely true. Another reason why Miraculous are often given to others is because of the destructive potential that the Kwami's have when used without a host. Plagg in particular has used his power with dire consequences. Ranging from sinking Atlantis to even causing the extinction of the dinosaurs.
Boomstick: A cat who killed the dinosaurs with destruction powers? Again, Plagg is basically Beerus.
Wiz: Though that's not to say Cat Noir's own Cataclysms are anything to scoff at. Which was made prominent when he was forced to destroy a giant piece of galette. Like a VERY giant piece of galette.
Boomstick: Ok. For those who want context, the Ladybug Kwami, Tikki, kind of went insane due to not having enough delicious galettes to chow down on. So her solution was to use her Lucky Charm power to make a big ass piece roughly the size of a planet. And Cat Noir's Cataclysm was powerful enough to destroy it in a single go.
Wiz: While the ingredients that were used are hard to pinpoint, most common Galettes are typically made with similar ingredients used to make bread, which weighs 0.27 grams per Cubic Centimeter. Assuming the Galette Tikki made has a similar diameter to that of Earth, we can deduce the height of the Galette and get a resulting volume of over 63 Billion Cubic Kilometers. Meaning that Cat Noir had to have destroyed around 19 Quintillion tons of Galette.
Popup: Despite the appearance, objects that are made from the Lucky Charms do share similar properties to the objects that it's creating. Tikki even once used the Lucky Charm to mimic the properties and taste of Chocolate.
Boomstick: That's nearly 4 times heavier than the weight of Asia. And considering the size and density, the energy needed to destroy it would have had to be equal to 610 Teratons of Tnt. Over 6 times greater than the astroid that killed the dinosaurs. Jesus even though he's not on Plagg's level, he still has what it takes to extinct those bastards.
Wiz: Just as impressive as him as flying towards the galette in the first place. Comparing the size of the Earth in the background to Cat Noir as he destroyed the galette and estimating the timeframe, he would have had to be flying at speeds faster than the speed of light.
Popup: Given how he can only uses Cataclysm once per transformation and his need to use it later in the episode, he would have had to travel back to earth in 5 minutes or less.
Boomstick: Not too shabby as he's even had to dodge lasers before on multiple occasions. Like when he went up against Akumas like Reflectka and Pixelator. And they're definitely lasers. They move in straight lines, consistent speeds, bounce off mirrors and Pixelator's main weapon is literally a camera flash. So not only is he capable of flying at lightspeeds, but also react and fight at those speeds too.
Wiz: Despite the many Akumas Hawk Moth sent to obtain the Miraculous, each of which with their own mind bending powers. Cat Noir had always risen to the occasion, even against other Miraculous wielders.
Boomstick: Like how he went against Viperion, a Miraculous wielder who uses that busted Second Chance power. Despite it being in his possession, Cat Noir was still able to come out on top. Heck he even went against Miraculer, who stole his powers and withstood his own Cataclysm being used against him. In short, barely anything can match him.
Popup: As Cat Noir has fought with and against other Miraculous users, he could scale to feats many of them have performed. Characters like Carapace are tough enough to get launch through Paris and characters like Purple Tigress are strong enough to launch foes above cloud level.
Wiz: Well not exactly. While Cat Noir is a force to be reckoned with, he's not perfect. He's pretty gullible, having been tricked and controlled by many different Akumas. And while his physical physique is tough, underneath the costume is a boy struggling with mixing his social life with that of a hero.
Boomstick: Which actually gotten him Akumatized on 2 different occasions. And each one resulted in the world being f*cked beyond repair. Though they were thankfully taken care, all because of time traveling bullsh*t.
Wiz: That's not all. Remember that all his powers stem from his Miraculous. Should his Miraculous take any damage it can cause Adrien life-force to drain. And should the Miraculous be removed from him entirely, it can cause him to immediately revert back into Adrien.
Boomstick: But it doesn't stop him from putting his life against those who want to steal his power. Even after Hawk Moth stole almost all of the other Miraculous and tried to use them against him and Ladybug, they would not falter. And they would never stop fighting until Hawk Moth is defeated and the Miraculous are returned to safety.
Wiz: What can be said about Cat Noir except... Miraculous.
Adrien: Plagg, Claw Out!!!
Adrien proceeds to have a transformation sequence where he turns into Cat Noir. And it all ends with him doing a pose.
Tommy Oliver Mighty Morphs into Death Battle[]
Wiz: Years ago, the vial Rita Repulsa was imprison for her galactic conquest for conquering the universe. Thousands of years later, she was released from her prison and planned to continue where she left off.
Boomstick: And since her prison was a literal dumpster, it's only natural for her to attack the first thing she saw; Earth.
Wiz: Though despite her magic, there was one thing that stood between her and the conquering of Earth; The Power Rangers.
Boomstick: Go Go Power Rangers!! Ba Ba da, Ba Da Da Da... Ah that song never gets old.
Wiz: The Power Rangers have always folded Rita's plans. However after many failed attempts, this gave Rita and idea. The only way for her to combat the Power Rangers is to have a Ranger of her very own.
Boomstick: But she couldn't just choose anybody. She needed someone with the skills necessary enough to put the Rangers where they belong. And after a witnessing a little Martial Arts tournament she found just the guy. Though I have no idea why she had to pick a teenager out of all types of people.
Wiz: Well much like the original Power Rangers, Tommy Oliver did seem like your typical high school student. Though one extremely proficient in martial arts. Including Karate, Kenpo, Taekwondo, Judo, and Shinkido.
Boomstick: And he's not some rookie at those skills either. He's honed his skills to his absolute best. He's so skilled that he can even match the Red Ranger Jason in hand to hand combat and defeated many of Rita's putties all with his bare hands.
Wiz: It was these qualities and accomplishments that made Tommy the perfect choice to thwart the Power Rangers. And for all of Rita's worth, she couldn't have made a better choice. After brainwashing Tommy, she gifted him a Power Coin. An object that lets him link to a special energy source called the Morphing Grid.
Boomstick: By drawing power of the coin and yelling a phrase that is 100% not related to Morbius, he becomes the Mighty Morphing Green Ranger.
Wiz: His connections to the Morphing Grid does more than just giving him a stylize spandex, it retroactively grants him superhuman levels of strength, speed and stamina. And as a bonus the Morphing Grid offers a special barrier that protects him from anything too dangerous.
Boomstick: These may sound standard powers sure, but thanks to Rita's magic he was able to make short work of the Ranger team on many different occasions. Though it didn't last long until the Rangers broke him out of Rita's control. With his new lease on life, he was offered the chance to fight for the right cause.
Wiz: While he was somewhat hesitant to join at first, he eventually joined up in stopping Rita once and for all.
Boomstick: And even some foes afterwards. No really even after halting Rita's invasion, enemy forces just kept coming for Earth left and right. With Tommy being there at the front lines. He's even had to dawn different suits to take on different opponents. Though with the many suits he had to wear over the years, we can only stick to one right?
Wiz: Not necessarily. While over the years he became different types of Ranger, he eventually got his hands on a Master Morpher. With it he is able to freely switch between each and every one of his previous Ranger powers.
Popup: While "Super Ninja Steel" only showed Tommy assume 4 different morphs, the "Soul of the Dragon" comic shows Tommy being able to uses the Red Turbo Ranger. Making it possible for him to assume the form of the White Ninja Ranger despite never being shown.
Boomstick: And considering he's been 6 different Rangers, that's a lot for him to choose from. Sure that doesn't sound like much but when considering there are nearly 1000 episodes of the show, he's used each one a considerable number of times.
Wiz: While each Ranger does hold similar powers as many other Rangers, each different morph does grant Tommy several unique abilities and weapons. As the Green Ranger he can charge up energy to help increase his strikes. He can strike the ground hard enough to cause explosions or even produce electricity.
Boomstick: He has a knife that doubles as a blaster, a communicator that acts as a teleportation unit, but his best weapon of choice is the Dragon Dagger. Not only does it double as a flute, but it even helps him control the coolest Zord in history; he Dragonzord.
Popup: For the sake of fairness, this battle will not be featuring Tommy's access to his Zords though mention of them will be described in the analysis.
Wiz: Though he did lose this power, he was granted a new Ranger power, becoming the White Ranger. Along with his main weapon, a talking short sword called Saba.
Boomstick: Despite the looks and its bird language, Saba is a pretty neat sword. It has a mind of its own, letting it move and fight even without Tommy and it can even fire lasers from its eyes. To pair with him, Saba also lets Tommy control the White Tigerzord. Though after it got destroyed, he upgraded to the even better White Ninja Falconzord.
Wiz: It was these powers that helped him successfully thwart Rita's schemes though it didn't last long until Earth was threatened by a new enemy; King Mondo and the Machine Empire. In order to combat his new foes, his team assembled into new Ranger suits, and with it became the Red Zeo Ranger V.
Boomstick: And in my opinion the worst Ranger name by far, though I guess his powers make up for it. In sight of the threat ahead, the Zeo Rangers were designed to be superior to the original Power Rangers in every way.
Wiz: His new Ranger powers stems from a Zeo Crystal. A special object that further increases in power as time goes on, and Tommy is able to implement this in mid combat. Whether to increase his strikes or imbue it into his weapons.
Boomstick: Like the Zeo Power Sword, letting him slice through even the toughest of baddies. He's even carries a a couple of guns which can combine with his blade for even more power. And if he's feeling like doing some cardio while killing his foes he can use the Defender Wheel.
Wiz: Lastly as the Red Zeo Ranger, he is paired with his Zord; the Zeo Zord V... huh?
Boomstick: You starting to see why I don't like it? I mean seriously why not call it the Phoenix Zord, that's basically what it is. Though it is leagues better than the Super Zeo Zord V design wise. But do you know what doesn't suck design wise? His last Morphing upgrade. Made from gems that came with the astroid that killed the Dinosaurs, Tommy found a new way to access the Morphing Grid.
Wiz: With the Dino Gem, Tommy can assume the form of the Black Dino Ranger. Complete with his main weapon, the Brachio Staff.
Boomstick: Take a guess what Zord he has? Give up? It's the Brachiozord.
Wiz: Zords aside, the Brachio Staff is a versatile weapon, allowing Tommy to utilize 4 different elements to increase his power. Letting him attack with Water, Wind, Earth or Fire.
Boomstick: As a bonus, the Black Dino Ranger has a pseudo super form. By utilizing the Dino Gem to their full potential, Tommy can assume the Super Dino Mode. Making him way stronger and it even gives him some sweet Dino spikes. Though I can't take it seriously since it looks so freaking plasticy.
Popup: There have been multiple times when a Ranger has showcased Superhuman levels of strength, speed and durability even when they aren't transformed.
Wiz: Well despite it's look all these powers certainly made Tommy one of the most versatile Ranger in history. He's been doing it for so long that it's hard to believe he had his doubt at first.
Boomstick: I wouldn't blame him. I mean his entire Ranger Journey started when some crazy alien woman brainwashed him and forced him to attack his friends. Not a good first impression but as the fight kept getting harder and harder, he eventually decided it was better for him to fight the good fight instead of doing nothing.
Wiz: It was a good thing he did too, it was with his knowledge and fighting skills that landed him the leader and mentor to different Ranger team, facing foes of all manner of shapes and sizes.
Boomstick: Though there were many occasions where there were fights that even he couldn't do on his own. He's even been captured by his foes on many different occasions, and even a couple of robo people tried to brainwash him into attacking his friends. God he really can't catch a break with the whole brainwashing syndrome. But through the power of friendship he was able to break free.
Wiz: Though that specific brainwashing moment did leave some side effects on Tommy's psyche. They also indirectly granted Tommy to feel even the slightest temporal loops.
Boomstick: Making Deja Vu a total b*tch for him. But he's used this newfound power to thwart his Robotic foes from trapping all of Earth in a time loop. No matter what forces were sent his way, Tommy always risen to the occasion one way or another.
Wiz: Tommy is strong enough to send boulders flying with a kick, hit his foes hard enough to cause explosions and survived the Command Center exploding while he was inside.
Boomstick: That's just the tip of the iceberg. He's skilled enough to face multiple foes in combat, including his own team. And those guys are pretty tough. Jason and Trini were strong enough to lift boulders that were much bigger than them and even took down Rita's brother Rito, who was tough enough to crashing into the moon with an explosion visible from Earth.
Wiz: His strength grew much greater from there. In fact he was eventually grew strong enough to combat foes as powerful as the Galactic Overlord himself, Lord Zedd.
Boomstick: Sure he only contended with him briefly but Zedd himself is way stronger than many of the series characters, including Rita Repulsa herself. Despite her looks she's a powerhouse. She once shot a blast that nuked a whole island and even moved the moon with her magic. Which may sound crazy but stuff like that is actually pretty consistent.
Popup: Other characters have performed similar Moon Movements feats like Jinxer and Vrak, however Rita's moon movement was more direct as it was caused by magic Rita herself produced.
Wiz: Right. Despite his different Morphs, each Power Rangers draws upon the same energy source, the Morphing Grid. Meaning we can compare Tommy Oliver to many other Power Rangers we know to be around his level. Like the Red Wild Force Ranger Cole Evans who survived Serpentera exploding while inside.
Boomstick: You know the Zord that can destroy entire planets? Yeah well Cole survived a Zord like that exploding and even withstood a blast from that thing. And Tommy is definitely in that guy's ballpark considering he's fought alongside him in equal footing.
Wiz: He's fought many different types of foes ranging from Rita's putties to even robotic dinosaur people... that Tommy had inadvertently help create?
Boomstick: Hehe. Classic Power Rangers weirdness. Not only is he skilled enough to take these guys out daily, but he's been fighting for so long he's even had a chance to fight alongside other Ranger teams or even some individual Rangers themselves.
Wiz: Such as the SPD Shadow Ranger Anubis Cruger, who is quick enough to dodge lasers fired only a few feet from him from all direction and even showcased the ability to move in tandem with them.
Popup: Tommy Oliver has also gone toe to toe with Lord Drakkon, who while incredibly weakened and chained in place was quick enough to dodge lasers fired about a meter in front of his face, making Light Speed feats consistent for Tommy.
Boomstick: Not even a whole team of SPD Rangers were enough to take this guy down, and he's quick enough to blitz them without them even noticing. Which is impressive as even the Pink SPD Ranger Syd Drew can produce attacks made of light without transforming. And these are the types of people Tommy can fight even with. You know who else he can keep pace with? Himself. And it wasn't just a one time thing either. He's fought himself not once, not twice, but on 3 different occasions.
Wiz: Well 6 if you're counting the dream sequence in Dino Thunder where he had to fight his previous Morphs while not transformed.
Boomstick: Do you see what I mean though? Cause not even Tommy Oliver is skilled enough to beat Tommy Oliver's own ass.
Wiz: With all of his powers, feats and Zords, barely anything stood in his way. However while the Morphing Grid does grant Tommy a wide array of powers, it doesn't make him invincible. Enough damage can disrupt his connection to the Morphing Grid, causing to return to normal. And should his Master Morpher were to be destroyed, it could end his connection to the Morphing Grid permanently.
Boomstick: And that's exactly what happened. He got into a fight that damaged his Master Morpher pretty badly, causing him to end his Ranger days for good. Plus this guy sort has a bit of a temper. Which caused him to fight with his own team and even landed him in trouble multiple times. But with everything he's been through it's understandable.
Wiz: Though even when he's no longer a Ranger, his legacy would live on. He's already fought in countless battles, trained multiple generations of Power Rangers and would even get married and have a son who would eventually become the SPD Green Dragon Ranger.
Boomstick: That's all sweet all things considered. But I doubt that it would stop him from fighting to protect those he loves. You may take the Power Ranger out of the hero, but you cannot take the hero out of a Power Ranger.
Wiz: Once a Ranger, always a Ranger.
Tommy Oliver: It's Morphing Time!!! Dragonzord!!!
Tommy transforms into the Mighty Morphing Green Ranger and jumps into battle doing a pose.
Death Battle[]
We start off in Paris. It was surprisingly empty with only one person walking by the Arc de Triomphe being Adrien Agreste. He somehow managed a time to get some fresh air and decided to take a nice walk. Inside of the bag he's carrying is his Kwami companion Plagg who is eating a piece of cheese.
Adrien: Isn't this nice Plagg. I have the afternoon to myself.
Plagg: Yeah, but wouldn't it be better to stop by that cheesecake factory? I don't know how you can make a cake with cheese but it fits right down my alley.
As the 2 were having their discussion, another person just so happened to walk by. It was Tommy Oliver and he's talking on the phone with his wife.
Tommy: Yeah honey Paris is beautiful. Yes I'll make sure to bring you and J.J. something. I promise.
Tommy's conversation was suddenly interrupted when he spots Plagg out of the corner of his eye. Adrien looked over and notices Tommy is looking directly at Plagg, who is still chowing down on his cheese. Adrien gave him a rough tap to get his attention. Plagg finally makes eye contact with Tommy but still proceeds to finish his piece of cheese he has in his hands.
Tommy: Katherine I have to call you back. Something just came up.
Tommy hung up his phone and began to slowly walk towards Adrien. Adrien responded with walking backwards.
Adrien: Don't get the wrong idea.
Tommy: Kid.
Adrien: He isn't dangerous.
Tommy: How would you know?
Adrien: What gives you the right to judge others?
Tommy: You have no idea what I've been through.
Adrien: Yeah, well you're not getting your hands on him.
As Tommy got closer to Adrien, he tried to defend himself with a punch. Unfortunately he missed. He threw 3 more attacks each of which was easily blocked or parried by Tommy. He tried to give a roundhouse kick but Tommy caught his leg and threw him behind him, causing Adrien to drop his bag.
Tommy tried to get Plagg but as he opened the bag he was gone. He looked back at Adrien with Plagg hovering over him.
Adrien: I think we have no choice.
Plagg: I'm with you. I had a whole pack of cheese he ruined. Say the words boss.
Tommy began to run towards Adrien but it was too late.
Adrien: Plagg, Claws Out!!!
A transformation sequence begun with Plagg going into the ring on Adrien's finger. He slide his finger across his eyes, which gave him a face mask. He pulled his hair back and cat ears appeared on his head. He pushed him arm out and with it came a black suit that covered his whole body. He then threw 2 claw slashes and it ended with him doing a pose.
Tommy stopped in mid run to see what just happened. Cat Noir pulled out his staff and begun to show off what he can do. After he was done he gave a smile in an effort to feel intimidating.
Cat Noir: Like what you see? Now how about you? You got any tricks you want to show me?
Tommy Oliver didn't answer at first, instead giving Cat Noir a smile. After a while he finally answered his question.
Tommy: Which one do you want to see first?
The intimidating smile Cat Noir gave quickly gave way as he now knows something isn't normal about him. This time it was Tommy who gave the intimidating smile.
Tommy: It's Morphing Time!!!
He quickly pulled out his Master Morpher.
Tommy: Dragonzord!!! Green Ranger Power!!!
A green glow begun to encompass Tommy's body and out from it he appeared in his Green Ranger outfit. He started to show off what HE can do and got into a pose himself.
Cat Noir: Sweet pose. But you have what it take?
GR Tommy: Watch me. I'll knock you down a live or 9.
Cat Noir: Hey. Cat puns are my thing. Got it?
Tommy rushed towards Cat Noir with him rushing towards Tommy. Cat Noir readied his staff while Tommy readied his Dragon Dagger. The 2 clashed with their weapons and it caused some blow back, sending them both flying backwards. Cat Noir extended his staff's length to try to attack Tommy from a distance but he matched his extended hits blow for blow.
Tommy grabbed the extended staff and pulled it closer towards him, causing Cat Noir to fling in his direction. Tommy readied his Dagger and uppercutted Cat Noir with the blade. He landed at the ceiling of the Arc de Triomphe causing it to crack. He then fell down in which Tommy does a spin kick and sends him through one of the legs.
Cat Noir gets up in pain with Tommy looking over him.
GR Tommy: Had enough kitty?
Cat Noir raises his right hand into the air.
Cat Noir: Not even close. CATACLYSM!!!
A black spark begun to envelop his right hand. Cat Noir takes a swing at Tommy but his attempt failed with Tommy moving out of the way in the nike of time. He kept trying to attack Tommy but he keeps dodging and or parrying. However all Cat Noir wanted was to apply pressure to Tommy by unknowingly walking him back towards the Arc de Triomphe. He took one last jab with Tommy of course dodging, but it was exactly what Cat Noir wanted.
Instead of hitting Tommy, he hit the leg of the Arc de Triomphe he was kicked through and caused a chain reaction that started to make the entire structure crumble. This made Tommy lose focus on Cat Noir, which he took full advantage of. Cat Noir leg swept Tommy and grabbed him by the leg, which he then threw him through the same leg structure until he landed directly in the middle of the structure. As the Arc de Triomphe was crumbling with Tommy underneath, Cat Noir was looking in the background smiling, thinking he has won. But not before Tommy pulled out his Master Morpher again.
GR Tommy: Tigerzord!!! White Ranger Power!!!
His Master Morpher produce a white glow but it was covered up by the building completely falling on him. Cat Noir had a sign of relief but it was interrupted when an explosion happened with Tommy standing up, now in his Mighty Morphing White Ranger suit.
WR Tommy: It's time to shed some light on you, Black Cat!
Cat Noir looked at his Ring and it shows he still has a few minutes before he transforms back into Adrien. He rushes in with his staff, matching it with Tommy's new weapon Saba. The 2 goes back and forth with their attacks but neither got an advantage over the other. That is until Tommy threw Saba at Cat Noir causing him to dodge. He did however have to take a hit from Cat Noir but it was worth it.
As Cat Noir went for another blow, he was suddenly shot in the back by a laser. He glanced over and he sees Saba hovering in mid air. Saba fired another laser with Cat Noir barely avoiding it, but it gave Tommy the opportunity to land more hits. He swings at Cat Noir's guts, knees him in the face and finishes things off by grabbing his "tail" and throwing him a great distance.
Cat Noir eventually landed by the Trocadéro Gardens, but it caused such an impact that his Ring came loose from his fingers and thus caused him to prematurely revert back to normal. He got up and desperately tried to find his Ring but not before Tommy teleported to Adrien's location. Thinking fast he hid behind some nearby bushes and pulled out a special box from under his white button up shirt. He opened the box revealing a bracelet along with another Kwami.
Sass: Greetings. My name is Sa...
Adrien: Skip the introduction. This is urgent.
While they were talking, Tommy found Adrien and rushed over.
Adrien: Sass!!! Scales Slither!!!
A blueish green light encompassed his body and from it emerged Aspik.
Aspik: Yeah Ranger. 2 can play at your game.
WR Tommy: Alright. Let's see what you're made of.
Aspik: Second Chance!!!
He activated his Second Chance power, allowing him to rewind time to the moment he set. Aspik made a run at Tommy who attempted a jab with his sword but Aspik catches it with his Lyre. Tommy released his grip aim and roundhouse kick Aspik to the sides. As he recovered he quickly and activated Second Chance.
A flash of light flashed and the fight is brought back to where Aspik set his powers. Tommy attempts a jab, Aspik catches it, Tommy tries to do a roundhouse kick but this time Aspik ducks underneath it and lands an uppercut that sends Tommy flying backwards. Tommy gets back up but gets a feeling he's relived that exact moment just seconds prior. He calls back Saba and fires lasers multiple times. Aspik dodged many of them but gets hit by the last laser in his left shoulder. He reaches for his Miraculous to rewind time again but not before Tommy got a glimpse of what he's doing.
Time rewinds again and as Tommy tries to go in for a jab, he stops mid way through feeling like he's done it before. This event sort of Aspik hesitant, thinking there was no way for Tommy to know what's been happening. Aspik instead begun the attack with Tommy parrying his attacks. The 2 throws a punch with each one being hit in the process, causing both of them to fly backwards. Aspik goes to rewind time a 4th time but it was at this time that Tommy has gotten a good idea on what's causing things to rewind.
Aspik activates Second Chance and goes in for an attack. He swings his Lyre at Tommy but he intercepts it and pulls out his Master Morpher, now knowing what's been going on.
WR Tommy: Zeo Ranger 5, Red!!!
Tommy does a flip kick that sends Aspik flying backwards and when he does that a red flash emits from his body. Before he revealed himself he shot Aspik with his Laser Pistol, preventing Aspik from using Second Chance. Aspik hits a wall and tries to activate Second Chance but out of nowhere his right arm gets stabbed by a sword. He screams in pain but not before he gets kicked by Tommy in his Red Zeo Ranger outfit.
RZR Tommy: ZEO FLYING POWER KICK!!!
He lands the kick directly on Aspik's chest, sending him through the walls. The force that did that also caused the Sword to leave Aspik's arm so he went to activate Second Chance. But before he got a chance to he suddenly exploded. He lands on the floor growing in pain.
Aspik: Did I just explode in mid air?
A sudden flash of light appeared in front of him revealing to be Tommy.
RZR Tommy: Games up buddy.
Aspik looks up exhausted but he suddenly realizes something small heading his way. Something small and black.
Plagg: Cataclysm!!!
Plagg taps the ground and the surrounding area begins to crumble. Aspik managed to take the time to jump away from the devastation while Tommy got caught in the attack. Aspik landed on top of a building and powered down back to Adrien with Plagg joining up to him.
Plagg: Did it work?
Adrien: I doubt it.
And he was right. A sudden explosion burst out from where Plagg used Cataclysm and from it came Tommy. He also landed on top of the same building as Adrien and powered down.
Adrien: You all out?
Tommy: No. You?
Adrien: I've still got more tricks up my fur.
Tommy: Oh really? Show Me.
Adrien proceeds to feed both Plagg and Sass while Tommy gets out his Master Morpher.
Adrien: Plagg, Sass, UNIFY!!!
Tommy: DINO THUNDER, POWER UP!!!
The 2 proceed to transform. Adrien transformed into Snake Noir while Tommy transformed into his Black Dino Ranger outfit. After the transformation sequence the rushed at each other with blinding speeds. The 2 goes back and forth with their attacks with neither giving the other the opportunity to land any meaningful damage.
Tommy quickly activates his Super Dino Mode and gets the upper hand in strength, as shown when he temporarily overpowered one of Snake Noir's attacks. This didn't stop Snake Noir however, who decided to uses his agility to get around his strength. He slides underneath one of Tommy's strikes and claws his back.
This hardly fazed either one so they just kept going at it. Tommy unleashed his Fire Strike which he lands directly on Snake Noir's chest. He unleashed the rest of his elemental strikes, all of which deals massive damage to Snake Noir. Snake Noir persisted however and uses his staff to disarm Tommy from his Bracio Staff. He then uses his agility to land a flurry of punches with Tommy barely being able to counter them. He did however land a punch but Snake Noir used the momentum to throw Tommy over his shoulder and into a wall.
Tommy quickly pulled out his Master Morpher, but Snake Noir was just as quick and rushed in to destroy the Master Morpher.
Snake Noir: CATACLYSM!!!
BDR Tommy: Green Ranger Power!!!
Tommy transformed just in the nick of time, sort of. While he was able to avoid his Master Morpher getting destroyed but he was instead hit with the full force of Snake Noir's Cataclysm. The effect spread throughout his body and even affected his wrist teleporter. This caused him and Snake Noir to teleport far into the sky with them now falling.
Snake Noir: Holy... ahhhhhhhhhhh.
Snake Noir quickly got a hold of himself and sees the Eiffel Tower nearby. He tries to fall closer to the structure but as he reached out his right arm, the Snake Miraculous bracelet was suddenly hit by a laser. This caused Snake Noir to revert back into Cat Noir, who turns around and sees a damaged Green Ranger Tommy flying towards him.
Cat Noir: You survived???
GR Tommy: As long as I'm breathing, I will not fall.
He pulls out his Dragon Dagger and Cat Noir got out his Staff. The 2 collided with immense force, with both fighters trying desperately to overpower the other before they hit the ground. They were pretty even despite their fatigue, but the same can't be said for their weapons. Cat Noir's staff broke in half and Tommy land a slash mark that pierced Cat Noir's suit. He went for another stab which Cat Noir tried to block with his arm but that was what Tommy was aiming for.
He lands the Dragon Dagger in the same spot where he pierced Aspik with his blade as the Red Zeo Ranger. With his other hand, he powered up it's power with all of the power he has left. Cat Noir attempted the same but was overpowered by Tommy's strength. The result from the punch was powerful enough to cause an explosion that caused the arm that holds the Cat Miraculous Ring to become disconnected with Cat Noir, causing him to revert back to Adrien to take the giant explosion. Tommy Oliver used the explosion as leverage that propelled him to the top of the Eiffel Tower, with the Cat Miraculous still attacks to the arm, which in turn is still connected to the Dragon Dagger.
Tommy pushed it off and into the ground. This made Plagg come to to see where Adrien is.
Plagg: Adrien?? Adrie...
Before he could finish, Tommy stepped on Plagg with immense force, causing the ground the be spewed in a black ink. After he reverts to normal, Tommy looked out into the air knowing that what he did was over.
Tommy: Looks like you're out of lives.

Announcer: KO!!!
Boomstick: What did you guys expect? Dragons beats Cats any day.
Wiz: This one was a pretty unique battle. Both fighters had a wide array of powers to utilize and given their history with lasers, these 2 would be roughly in the same ballpark of speed. But at the end of the day, Tommy Oliver had everything he needed to cut the 9 lives of Cat Noir short.
Boomstick: Yeah Tommy has been fighting for way longer, trained in multiple forms of martial arts and has fought foes just wacky and trippy as on Cat Noir's lineup. Plus, for almost everything Cat Noir can throw at Tommy, he has experience some versions of people with Cat Noir's powers, including Second Chance.
Wiz: Even when characters like Gasket deployed a time loop on the Earth, Tommy was still able to perceive replayed events and eventually deduces that time has been rewinding. Turning even the dangerous Second Chance power into a mere annoyance.
Popup: While there isn't anything Tommy can do that would prevent Adrien from using Second Chance at first, his time sensing would prevent Adrien from being able to take full advantage of Second Chance. Given his skill in hand to hand combat it would allow Tommy to get in close and remove the Snake Miraculous from Adrien's possession, much like when he and Ladybug defeated Viperion.
Boomstick: And while both had many different powers that seem to match each other despite their many forms, Tommy's arsenal was much more tailored to combat. Whether it was multiple forms of lasers or the elemental range with his Bracio Staff, he had many more options of inflicting pain, while the only major difference in Cat Noir's arsenal were tailored to whatever Miraculous he has on hand.
Wiz: But perhaps the biggest difference between these 2 were their strength and power. Sure Cat Noir can lift entire cars out of the water but other Rangers Tommy is comparable to can lift boulder weighing much heavier.
Boomstick: Even when scaling Cat Noir to Stormy Weather's Paris size storm it doesn't exactly stack up to the space seen explosion Rito Revolto survived when he crashed on the moon. But the black kitty is way more dangerous with Cataclysm.
Wiz: Cataclysm is an absurdly powerful force capable of destroying almost anything sure, but it couldn't destroy everything. There have been many instances of this throughout the series, whether it's Sentimonsters created by the Peacock Miraculous or Cat Noir himself.
Boomstick: Sure you can bring up the argument that Cat Noir could have the innate ability to survive his own power and Sentimonster physiology mumbo jumbo, but Monarch was able to survive it and he has neither of those. So this ultimately brings us to the question on whether or not Cataclysm is strong enough to disconnect Tommy's connection to the Morphing Grid and destroy his powers. And yeah, destroying that planet size Galette is impressive. Generating over 600 Teratons of Tnt, but Tommy contending with Zedd would mean he's in the same ballpark as other heavy hitters like Rita, who moved the moon.
Wiz: Considering it took Rita a full minute to fully cause a solar eclipses, it would have had to require moving the moon at nearly 130,000 Miles Per Hour. In order to do so, Rita's magic must be capable of outputting energy equivalent to over 29 Zettatons of Tnt.
Boomstick: That's way more than anything Cat Noir has done, and considering other Rangers like Cole Evans can survive Zords as powerful as Serpentera exploding, Tommy must also be capable of withstanding that level of power to. Even when he's Snake Noir, the gap is much too wide for him to close the gap. So Cat Noir's Cataclysm was no where near enough right?
Popup: Other Power Ranger teams like the Dino Charge Rangers were able to withstand energy attacks from Goldar Maximus, which are capable of dematerializing objects on impact like when he used it on Sledge. Since each Power Ranger teams draws upon the same Morphing Grid, this meant it was unlikely that the deconstructing nature of Cataclysm would have the same effect on Tommy.
Wiz: Well Cat Noir specifically yes, but Plagg himself was certainly much stronger. Despite being the very thing that powers Cat Noir, a Kwami without a host is far more destructive. But for the benefit of the doubt, lets directly scale Cat Noir's Cataclysm to Plagg.
Boomstick: Plagg once used Cataclysm to sink a whole island and even caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. But shouldn't that be worse than Cat Noir's planet size cake bust?
Wiz: Surprisingly no. Unlike the meteor which was an object crashing at high speeds, this would have had to require Plagg to spread his power through the entirety of Earth's surface. In that case we can take the surface area of the earth and deduce that Plagg must be able to output energy equivalent to 640 Petatons of Tnt.
Boomstick: That's impressive sure but still much less than Rita's moon movement. Heck even if Tommy was 1% of Rita's power, he would still be 460 times more powerful than anything Plagg has done.
Popup: While other characters in Miraculous have performed similar feats like Stormy Weather, Majestia and Ladybug, the methods they used are entirely different from what Cat Noir is capable of doing. Stormy Weather and Ladybug's methods were not the result of their physical power while Majestia is portrayed as far superior to Cat Noir.
Wiz: Even if Cataclysm was strong enough he still needs to be capable of hitting Tommy with it, which would have been extremely difficult.
Boomstick: Given the wide array of ranged options Tommy had on top of teleportation, it would have been nearly impossible for Cat Noir to land a fatal blow when he needed to. And considering he would revert back to normal after using, it would would only lessen his chances even further.
Popup: Even the flight of Astro Cat was unlikely to make any sort of difference, given how Tommy has kept pace with Rangers like the Red Space Ranger Andros who is capable of performing a similar feat as Astro Cat flying through space.
Wiz: Cat Noir was certainly a challenging opponent for Tommy, but Tommy Oliver's superior skill, power, versatility and Morphing Grid protection gave him the perfect counters to rid the Black Cat Miraculous of all his bad luck.
Boomstick: Cat Noir was certainly an un-purr-dictable fighter, but he just wasn't "mighty" enough to over "power" the Ranger.
Wiz: The winner is Tommy Oliver. The Green Ranger.
