Introduction[]
Mortician: Cassandra Cain, the second Batgirl and adopted daughter of Batman.
Redshock: Laura Kinney, the daughter-clone of Wolverine from Marvel's X-Men.
Mortician: The human body. When trained properly, it can be a deadly weapon, no matter how big or small.
Redshock: Too bad some people are trained to use it instead of having a normal childhood. So why not put two small former assassin teenagers in a Death Battle!
Cassandra Cain[]
Mortician: Cassandra Cain was born to two well known Assassins for the League of Shadows, David Cain and Sandra Wu-San aka Lady Shiva.
Redshock: You see Cassandra was no happy accident between two killers, this was arranged by the Demon’s Head Ra’s Al Ghul to produce a child to be the perfect bodyguard.
Mortician: Once Cassandra was born, she was instantly to be trained in the arts of the League of Shadows, trained by her father Cassandra was a prodigy in the art of Assassination.
Redshock: You're telling me she killed her first target at the age of 8, but Cassandra was emotionally scarred from this and realized it was wrong and fled from her father.
Mortician: Cassandra spent 9 years of her life homeless in the streets of Gotham City after traveling around the world. But after saving Commissioner Jim Gordon’s life.
Redshock: Former Batgirl and Oracle of Batman Barbara Gordon gave Cassandra the Batgirl costume with the approval of both Batman and Oracle. She became Barbara's ward and the Batman's adoptive daughter and newest Batgirl.
Mortician: Cassandra is one of the most proficient martial artists in the entire DC Universe, has master level knowledge of all fighting arts both known and unknown such as pressure points, killing techniques and stealth to name a few.
Redshock: For a little girl Cassandra is stronger than you think, she knocked out Bronze Tiger, shatter a sword with her hand, can punch through a concrete wall in two hits, and can hold her own hundreds of ninjas by herself and the Terminator, Deathstroke one of Batman’s strongest villains.
Mortician: And she’s pretty fast too, she can casually dodge punches from Batman, dodge arrows from Green Arrow, and can dodge punches and laser vision from Supergirl, and those Kryptonians are no slouch.
Redshock: She also knows how to take a hit, she knocks out Mad Dog with a knife through her heart, gets shot multiple times and doesn't even flinch, then keeps fighting. And survives an explosion after being shocked and thrown to the ground.
Mortician: Being trained by both the League of Shadows and Batman, Cassandra is a wide Arsenal to help her in battle. Her best weapon is her Body Reading, where she can tell and feel everything about a person just by reading their body.
Redshock: She can also copy and analyze her opponent's movements and weaknesses by watching how they fight.
Mortician: She is also an expert in Stealth, capable of vanishing from Dick Grayson's sight after he looks away for a few seconds and doesn't hear her leave, which it may not sound that impressive but Dick Grayson once snuck up on Batman who had the powers of Superman at the time that’s whole other level of Stealth.
Redshock: Her Orphan Armor is inspired by both Batman and the League of Shadows, which lacks durability since it can also take against most katana strikes but make up for it in Speed, Agility, and Stealth becoming lightweight enough for her to move around.
Mortician: And like her father figure, she has the Utility Belt with your usual Bat Family supplies like Batarangs, Smoke Pellets, a Grappling Hook, Miniature Explosives, PlastiCuffs, a Dagger, and two kinds of Katanas, regular and Energy Katanas.
Redshock: Woah is she a Jedi?!
Mortician: No their not lightsabers their Energy Katanas that can emit red sun energy which can weaken Kryptonians
Redshock: Eh I don’t know she gives off a more Sith vibe to me, I mean she wears black, has red lightsabers, and she can mind freak anyone around her she’s Darth Cassandra!
Mortician: Yes while Cassandra seems unstoppable she isn’t, her Body Language Reading less effective against someone unpredictable and insane such as the Joker. She is inexperienced when fighting superhumans as she tends to struggle with them due to being unable to judge their strength.
Redshock: But Cassandra had proved herself in not being a very skilled Batgirl, but by being someone she wasn’t forced to be but who she wanted to be.
Cassandra Cain: *Cassandra tosses a dynamite out the window of the car, exploding the car chasing them* “Who did I just blow up?”
X-23[]
Mortician: After James Howlett’s escape from the Weapon X Program, they needed to keep the research going for their bonding of Adamantium to their skeleton.
Redshock: Doctor Martin Sutter, recruited mutant geneticist, Doctor Sarah Kinney and tasked her with creating a clone that could surpass the Wolverine.
Mortician: But surprise, surprise, they failed, again, and again, and again 22 Fucking times! Until Sarah used unstable DNA of Wolverine’s into making a female clone. But once the higher ups heard of this, they were furious as they refused her in using Wolverine’s DNA.
Redshock: So they forced her to give birth and become a surrogate mother for the clone, since she was the 23rd Clone and was given the codename, X-23.
Mortician: X-23 started her training when she was 7 and with her Wolverine genes, she’s not your average human, well clone, she gained superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, and stamina being the perfect Assassin for the Program.
Redshock: Along with Wolverine’s healing factor, and infused Adamantium retractable claws but with 2 claws on each hand instead of Logan’s 3. And has an extra one in foot
Mortician: But Sarah felt sorry for X-23, so she released her from captivity and gave her a real name, Laura Kinney. Laura blamed Wolverine for her being born so she tracked down Logan to Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters to try and kill him.
Redshock: But soon after she would get a sweet deal in joining the X-Men. Laura would become a vital member of the team, she has helped the X-Men’s students defeat the Purifiers, Nimrod, Reverend Stryker, Belasco, and the Facility. She would even become Wolverine after Secret Wars.
Mortician: Laura is a skilled fighter capable of fighting Spider-Man, Captain America, Wolverine, and Lady Deathstrike. And was considered Kingpin’s best assassin making Laura a better Assassin than his other hitmen Bullseye and Elektra who Kingpin frequently used.
Redshock: Her Genes from Wolverine made her super strong, she can throw men around that are at least twice her size easily, breaks through armored glass like it was nothing, and is strong enough to match her half brother Daken, who is one of Wolverine’s strongest children.
Mortician: She is also quite fast, she can evade bullets from a high powered rifle, cuts apart one of the blades of a helicopter while it is in flight, and is faster than Wolverine, who can hit enemies faster than sound.
Redshock: And like Wolverine her Healing Factor comes in handy, she can tank a building busting explosion, survive getting mauled by a shark, can take a beating from a Sentinel, and can survive for some time in the vacuum of space without any protection.
Mortician: Her own Adamantium Claws are something special, much like Wolverine’s they are nigh indestructible and can cut through almost anything like World War Hulk’s skin, and can cut through an alternate universe Iron Man.
Redshock: And despite being a clone test tube baby, Laura is not a moron. She can speak 4 languages fluently, is knowledgeable about human anatomy and pressure points. She is also very cunning and pragmatic, capable of coming up with battle strategies in the heat of the moment like triggering an avalanche to stop an opponent whose skin she can't cut.
Mortician: Like Wolverine Laura also has a Healing Factor that is said to be superior to Wolverine himself, she heals after having her skull disconnected from her spine by Mr. Sinister, can reattach limbs, and survives having her stomach blown up and having all her sweat turned into acid by a matter manipulator.
Redshock: Laura also possesses Wolverine’s keen sense of smell, she can smell a target several miles away, detects the presence of another person by hearing their heartbeat, and can detect and and scan her surroundings.
Mortician: And much like Wolverine she has her own Berserker Mode called Trigger Scent where she focuses on the most efficient way to kill enemies and won't stop until the enemy is dead.
Redshock: Yeah Laura isn’t what you call a “invincible” killing machine. Large doses of tranquilizers can stop her in her tracks, decapitation can bypass her healing factor, and her Trigger Scent often makes her too emotional and won’t strategize or plan an attack which would leave her vulnerable.
Mortician: Still I don’t think anyone wants to mess with this deadly clone.
X-23: “This is your fault, everything I am is because of you!”.
Death Battle[]
Prologue[]
Laura Kinney aka X-23 was sent on a mission in Gotham City, New Jersey to track a warehouse that supposedly was hiding a weapon that the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants were keeping in secret, meanwhile Cassandra Cain aka Batgirl was already at the warehouse who knocked out a couple weak Mutants who were guarding several crates.
X-23 snuck in through the roof’s window and could instantly smell someone was nearby and wasn’t unconscious like the others she saw, she leapt down from the roof and landed on the ground and began searching the crates only her hand was soon wrapped around one of Batgirl’s Grappling Hooks. Laura growled and said “Let go of me”, Cassandra didn’t say a word, this only irritated Laura so much she used her claws and snipped the cord off of her wrist and lunged at Cassandra.
Fight![]
X-23 jumped at Batgirl who sidestepped out of the way, and kept her distance away from X-23, Laura then slashed at Cassandra’s stomach but missed, Cassandra then threw two Batarangs at X-23, who quickly slashed them before they could reach her but while she was distracted Cassandra had jumped in front of her and kicked her in the nose. She then proceeded to attack her with several punches and kicks, only when Laura managed to grab Cass’s wrist she kicked her into an enemy crate.
Laura then rushed at Cassandra and proceed to leap at her again but Cassandra through smoke pellet and Laura missed her, Cassandra was hiding from the shadows waiting for her next attack, Laura could smell her and used her smell to track Cassandra down, she then leapt in the air and sliced the railing above her where Cassandra was perched, Cassandra fired her Grappling Hook and swung around the warehouse and tried to kick Laura only she managed to grab Cassandra’s foot and swung her across the room.
Cassandra stood up and through two Batarangs, Laura caught them with ease and tried to throw them back only before she could, they exploded. Cassandra thought she won for a second, but she saw Laura’s face was healing and her flesh was regrowing almost instant. “You're not the only one with tricks” Laura growled.
Cassandra then drew out another Batarnag as Cassandra gotten close to her and used it like a knife, she tried to stab and slice her, but her body was quickly healing from the injuries, she then flipped over Laura and held the Batarang to her throat only her third claw from her foot unsheathed itself and kicked Laura in her calf dropping the Batarang and having Cassandra back away.
Cassandra drew her Dagger out and ran at Laura who did the same, the two clashed with Cassandra’s dagger and Laura’s claws clashed but the dagger quickly snapped, and Laura managed to slice Cassandra’s left thigh, Cassandra headbutt Laura and did a backflip knocking Laura back a bit, Cassandra was starting to lose blood, Cassndra then drew out her Energy Katana and rushed at Laura again, this time Cassandra’s blade held up a little better with it’s Red Sun Energy managed to slice and hurt Laura a lot more than her other weapons.
Laura was starting to lose, her body while was quickly recovering, was still getting hurt from Cassandra’s Energy Katana, she let out a loud scream and entered her Berserker Mode, she rushed at Cassandra and used her two claws to snap her Katana, she managed to back her against a wall as she started to hack and slash at her body quickly tearing through her armor and her body, hunks of flesh and blood spewed everywhere, she didn’t even stop when Cassandra’s body fell as Laura started to stab at her lifeless corpse until most of her body was severed in several pieces.
Laura then heard a commotion from across the warehouse and fled, she left the warehouse as Nightwing came as backup only he saw the dead body of his friend and ally, he called Oracle “Oracle, it’s Nightwing, I have some bad news”.

Results[]
Redshock: Woah, ok note to self don’t cheat on the female Wolverine
Mortician: Both Laura and Cassandra were born as trained killers who Experience was pretty much on equal terms, while Cassandra was the Better Fighter and was Faster than Laura, but even Laura couldn’t lose this fight.
Redshock: While her body wasn’t covered in Adamantium like her clone daddy Logan, her claws are still sharp enough to cut through anything Cassandra had, even her armor wasn’t tough enough to stop her blades.
Mortician: And her Healing Factor kept Laura going without any difficulty during the fight, and even her Berserker Mode was nothing Cassandra had dealt with, while Cassandra had a slight chance of winning it took Laura’s Healing Factor, Adamantium Claws, and her Berserker Rage to end the battle.
Redshock: Looks like Cassandra was Silent but not Deadly enough for the new Wolverine, the winner is X-23!
