Introduction[]

Mortician: Casey Jones, the angry vigilante and ally of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,

Redshock: Cody Travers, the Mayor of Metro City

Mortician: In the real world, there is always evil in every shape and form and in most cases, sometimes you just can't depend on the law to protect you.

Redshock: And these guys are the true definition of rough justice. He’s Mortician and I’m Redshock and it is our job to analyze their Powers, Weapons and Abilities to see who will win in a Death Battle!

Casey Jones[]

Mortician: The world isn't fair. It will beat you, hurt you, push you to your very limits, and give you nothing in return. For some who choose to fight back, the justice offered from law enforcement just isn't enough.

Redshock: We've all seen the vigilante origin story in comics before, but my lord, is this one pretty brutal.

Mortician: As a kid, Arnold "Casey" Jones lived with his family in the downtrodden parts of New York City, where his father worked as a mechanic. Things weren't too great, but Casey managed to get by, until the fateful night where the street gang known as the Purple Dragon took center stage in his life.

Redshock: You'd think these guys were just Mortal Kombat rejects because they worshiped Barney the Dinosaur instead of more badass cyborg Australians, but nope, these guys are just as violent as your average New York gang of thugs.

Mortician: After being denied protection money, the Purple Dragons decided to raid the shop, gun down his dad and take Arnold's mom and sister hostage.

Redshock: Casey's stubborn streak earned him a massive beating in the process, but he never gave up his quest to avenge his father. Someone needed to take a stand against organized crime, and it had to be him.

Mortician: I think you mean "take a stab", because Casey's solution just happened to be stabbing a motherfucker's neck with a knife!

Redshock: Thus began Casey Jones's descent into madness. As he grew up, he became increasingly violent, lost most of his friends, and had to learn to live on the streets.

Mortician: But with all he sacrificed, Jones learned one thing: That crime was still out there. And justice needed to be served, whether from the law enforcement, or from him.

Redshock: Donning his iconic hockey mask to protect his identity, and heading out with the best weapons he could find… So Sports Equipment?

Mortician: Casey Jones began his crusade against crime; his rampage of revenge. And it wasn't long until he came across New York City's more refined vigilante group: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And out of all four of them, he ends up meeting Raphael. The bad tempered member of the group.

Redshock: Jones was a regular human with regular weapons. While he used surprise to his advantage, his lack of skill confined his earlier targets to small groups of thieves or muggers, prey appropriate for only one turtle to handle at a time. But that didn't stop him from actually murdering his victims. Geez, this guy is like the complete opposite of Batman. I mean, he actually wears hockey pads!

Mortician: And while Raphael also had a hotheaded streak, he was also a turtle of honor. Casey and Raph would come to fight each other several times before coming to terms. And while Raphael's training and superior weapons should have gotten easy victories, Casey surprisingly held his own, which did not go unnoticed by the turtles.

Redshock: After shaking hands and taking down a large group of thugs, Casey came to respect New York's crime-fighting quadruplet, and returned to help them escape the evil Shredder. By lending out his farmhouse as a secondary base, Casey Jones bonded with the team, and became its seventh member, after master Splinter, and hot reporter April O'Neil. And before you ask, yes. The only two humans on the team, male and female, would eventually get to hooking up. Hands up if you saw that coming? Yeah, I thought so.

Mortician: Some of Casey Jones' favorite pain-bringers are without a doubt his hockey sticks, which can be made of solid wood or lightweight hollow plastic. The blades on the end make it an ideal weapon for tripping opponents, hooking objects, or shooting grounded projectiles. Given that he carries pucks with him, but is also fond of using rocks or pop cans he comes across, Casey is almost never without ranged options.

Redshock: The hockey sticks are often Casey's go-to objects for basic melee combat as well, but should he want more of an oomph, baseball bats aren't far behind. Casey is a mean swing, able to knock trained ninjas unconscious with one shot to the head, and can very easily return projectiles to sender.

Mortician: Name a piece of sports equipment, and Jones probably has it equipped. It isn't just the bag over his shoulder that connects him to the greens; he uses golf clubs as well, preferring to stick to the driver side of things. Cricket bats, tennis rackets... Why he'd want all these for swinging is beyond me, but if anything can be a weapon, I guess one must learn to grab all the weapons.

Redshock: And all of Jones' weapons aren't just sports related. For example, you wouldn't see Wayne Gretzky or Barry Bonds sticking nails in their weapons, but Casey isn't afraid to draw blood. He's also not above using steel pipes or any other pole-like objects that can be salvaged from the near environment

Mortician: Although his fighting skills were initially self-taught from movies and books, he has been taught martial arts by the four ninjas, and even Splinter himself. Casey is a very skilled combatant, both armed and unarmed. His ability to dual-wield is impressive on its own, and he's physically strong enough to lift and throw entire exercise machines!

Redshock: He sure found out that slicing up dense wooden objects isn't as easy as it looks. Your average stick can take a hell of a beating. Casey's armor can also take a surprising amount of hits, because its... well, you know, sports equipment. While he prefers to keep his legs light, his upper body is often covered by hockey gear. With a hard plastic surface and shock-absorbing foam on the inside, he's not going down any time soon.

Mortician: While often not able to keep up with the main strike team, Casey can hold his own against the highly skilled Foot Clan ninjas, and often serves backup or recon when the action gets heated, though he has gone up against, and even defeated, the Shredder

Redshock: He must have listened to his mamma growing up, because knee pads, elbow pads, and his iconic hockey mask are almost never out of reach.

Mortician: Though, it is worth noting that his first wife was actually a pregnant waitress in Colorado. She died during childbirth, leaving Casey to raise their daughter Shadow up on his own until April and he finally got to the altar.

Redshock: He named their kid Shadow? Geez, hockey players are more emo than I thought. Casey's incredibly violent personality, stemming from watching the wrong TV shows as a kid, tends to get him more riled up than Raphael himself, and it makes him an incredibly vicious fighter. His element of surprise is not to be underestimated.

Mortician: Casey's weapons are also, at the end of the day, not designed to be weapons. No matter his proficiency in using them, there's no doubt that guns or swords are more deadly

Redshock: He's often convinced, both by others and himself, to take time to sit on the sidelines for this very reason. So he doesn't have nearly the amount of combat experience the turtles themselves have. Taking time off to raise his daughter and marry Miss Jumpsuit also decreased his training in his later years.

Mortician: But his biggest weakness comes from his mental instability. If too angered, he will forget plans of attack; he will forget his training; he will become a murdering machine.

Redshock: He's also kind of dumb in some appearances. You don't see Donatello beating the crap out of kitchen appliances to serve them justice. But if having a sword guaranteed victory, then Casey would have died long ago to the Foot Clan. Instead, he's alive and kicking ass alongside one of the most famous teams of superheroes on the planet.

Mortician: Somebody's gotta stop those Purple Dragons. Somebody's gotta make them pay! And they will...they will all pay! Cause Casey Jones is on the job!

Casey Jones: “Well, it looks like you're the one who needs to be taught a lesson, pal. The class is Pain 101. Your instructor is Casey Jones”

Cody Travers[]

Redshock: Metro City, in which both crime and violence has ruled the streets for many years and that the citizens themselves live in a complete state of constant fear and danger at the hands of the local street gangs, which has given Metro City an infamous reputation in being a well-known crime capital of the world.

Mortician: A former professional wrestler and street fighter turned newly-elected mayor, named Mike Haggar had made a personal vow to the public from within his past campaign in that he would help clean up the streets of both crime and violence so that the citizens of Metro City could finally gain the peace and happiness that they had sought and wanted for so long.

Redshock: The Mad Gear Gang: the most powerful and dominant criminal organization of Metro City's criminal underworld, sees Haggar as a potential threat to their own violent rule of the city, which causes the gang to create and initiate an immediate plan of action so that they could make sure and see to it that Haggar himself doesn't get in the way of their own criminal activities.

Mortician: While in his office one day, Haggar receives an unexpected phone call from a suspicious sounding man who tells him that his young daughter, Jessica has been kidnapped by Mad Gear and he also warns Haggar that unless he doesn't want anything bad happening to her, he'll let the gang do as they please like the last mayor did before him.

Redshock: Upon knowing and realizing the dire threat at hand, Haggar wastes no time in meeting up and informing both his daughter's boyfriend Cody and his sparring partner Guy about the entire situation, which causes Cody and Guy to know and realize the fact that they can't allow Mad Gear to get away with this and that the two of them personally vow to aid and help Haggar out in saving Jessica and defeating Mad Gear.

Mortician: From there, the trio of Haggar, Cody, and Guy head into the streets of Metro City to bust Mad Gear's skulls, fighting their way through the hordes of goons littering the city and also battling against the top ringleaders of Mad Gear, which includes the Caribbean thug Damnd, the American Japanophile Sodom, the corrupt cop Edi. E, former Red Beret and militia leader Rolento, and the ill-tempered Abigail.

Redshock: After fighting and battling against all of Mad Gear from within their rescue mission, Haggar, Cody and Guy soon confronts the Mad Gear's boss and leader, the crooked businessman Belger from upon the top floor of a large building which serves as Belger's penthouse apartment.

Mortician: After a tough and intense final fight, Cody knocks Belger out of the window with a strong uppercut punch, sending him falling to his death below while Jessica is rescued and saved from the current danger, culminating with Cody and Jessica sharing a passionate kiss with each other as the young couple are emotionally happy to be reunited with one another after the entire ordeal.

Redshock: Until they break up due to Cody getting into too many fights. Ah, love.

Mortician: Cody's fighting style, officially referred as "Underworld brawling", is street fighting in its "purest" form, in Mighty Final Fight, his style is really just Boxing fused with Karate.

Redshock: Proving to be a powerful opponent, even while restrained; his reason for keeping his handcuffs on is to make his fights more challenging and also because of his experience in the original Final Fight which made him capable of taking on multiple opponents at once, though he can take them off at any time.

Mortician: Cody was formerly one of three characters who voluntarily handicaps and restrain themselves due to their power or for a challenge. And Cody is also one of the few playable characters in the Street Fighter series to utilize a weapon during fights. Such as how he can always find knives and pipes anywhere and use them at the best precision.

Redshock: Cody is also pretty strong, having bested Abigail, Belger, Poison, Rolento, Sodom and Edi. E, bested three of Bison's dolls and held his own against M. Bison in battle.

Mortician: Cody was evenly matched against Ryu to the point he even overpowered him until his Satsui No Hado hits. And when it does, Cody somehow survives it?!

Redshock: It's even more interesting when Cody has even fought Oni and Oni himself admitting that Cody would have beaten him had he not restrained himself. No wonder his power level is like Vegeta said, over 9000. No really, that happened in the Street Fighter X Tekken crossover

Mortician: However, Cody's addiction to fighting does tend to sour relationships with Jessica and despite thinking he is doing a good deed, many street fights ends up with him doing time in prison.

Redshock: And Cody is rather lazy, mostly lazing around whenever he is not fighting. And when he gets bored, he will always break out of prison to go look for fights.

Mortician: For good reason, spending time in jail has made Cody feel apathetic as despite saving the city from criminals, he doesn't consider himself a hero at all. And he always wants to restrain himself in order to make fights interesting

Redshock: But even a jailbird like him deserves a second chance as he eventually became the mayor of Metro City fighting crimes to make the world a better place. I guess work just isn't my thing, you know. Looks like I can have a little fun now.

Cody Travers: “Desk work just isn't my thing, ya know... looks like I can have a little fun now!”

DEATHBATTLE![]

Prologue[]

In the crime riddling streets, all is chaos as the Mad Gear Gang and the Purple Dragon are locked in a gang war. While the two gangs are busy fighting, Casey peers out from the alley before grabbing an unsuspecting Mad Gear Gang, pulling him inside. At the same time, Cody saunters into the battlefield, picking up a metal pipe and he swings it across, striking the face of a Purple Dragon member. After disposing of the Mad Gear Gang member, Casey tosses the unconscious ruffian at another of his comrades before jumping in, kicking down two Purple Dragon members at once.

Both Casey and Cody unknowingly single handedly beat both gangs until Casey and Cody are the only two left standing. “Finally, just one more of you Purple Dragons to deal with!”. “You look stronger than the rest of your Mad Gear Gang, this should be interesting”. Both fighters mistaken each other for other gang members “Ok bring it on blondie”. “With Pleasure!”.

FIGHT![]

Both Cody and Casey sprints towards each other just as they throw a punch. Cody succeeds in striking Casey in the face before attacking him with a combination of punches and kicks. As Casey staggers back, he looks down, seeing a baseball bat on the floor before ducking down, dodging a jump kick from Cody before swinging his bat across, striking Cody in the face. As Cody is stunned by the attack, Casey thrusts his knee up, striking the former convict in the chest. Casey then punches Cody followed by whack from his bat. “You're going down punk!”.

As Casey prepares to finish off Cody, Cody slides his hand across the floor, collecting sand before throwing it into his opponent's eyes. Blinded by the attack, Casey drops his bat, giving Cody a chance to strike. Cody wraps his chains around Casey, hoping to strangle him only for Casey to slam his head back, hitting Cody in the forehead. As Cody staggers back, Casey throws a kick, hitting Cody in the knee. Cody recovers and he swings his chain, wrapping it around Casey who simply tugs at it, dragging Cody towards him as he punches him square in the face. The impact causes the chains to break as Cody stood there, panting but still managed to let out a smirk. “What's wrong? Had enough?”. “No. Just getting started” as Cody removes his chains and throws them on the ground.

Casey wields his bat as he sprints towards Cody who notices a knife lying next to an unconscious purple dragon member. Cody stamps his feet, tossing the knife up as he snatches in midair and raising it up just as Casey swings his bat, parrying a blow. Cody thrust his leg out, kicking Casey back. Casey recovers from the blow as he and Cody exchange blows. As Casey swings his bat, Cody ducks down before swinging his knife across, cutting into Casey's body. As Casey grunts in pain, Cody punches him before turning him around, stabbing him in the shoulder. Casey thrusts his elbow back, knocking Cody behind as he pants, pulling out the knife from his shoulder as he curses “Screw you punk!”.

Casey throws the knife at Cody whom the latter not only dodges but moves close enough to perform his sucker punch. The impact sends Casey flying, crashing through the window of Dick’s Sporting Goods. Cody then runs after his opponent before jumping into the shop. Casey hides as Cody calls out “Come on out I haven’t got all night”. At that moment, a golf ball flies past in the air, hitting Cody in the back of his head. Casey rolls out of his hiding spot, skating across the floor with roller blades while playing hockey. Casey bats the hockey pucks at Cody, resulting in Cody raising up his arms, punching one back, blocking the second only for the third to hit him in the head. With Cody dazed by the attack, Casey jumps up, delivering a kick into Cody.

Cody was sent flying crashing through the shelf, resulting in a domino effect, where the shelfs began collapsing over each other. Cody shakes his head, looking up as he leaps into the air, narrowingly dodging Casey who is skating across the floor of a skateboard. Grabbing a bowling ball, Cody throws it down at Casey who promptly jumps, dodging the ball that shatters the skateboard. Cody then grabs Casey while he is airborne before throwing him down onto the ground. Casey screams out in agony as Cody grabs a metal pipe, closing in as he screams out “Take THIS!”. The pipe strikes Casey hard in the head, shattering his hockey mask in the process. Cody then steps back, looking as Casey gets up, dazed from the attack and his face now exposed. “Ready to give up”.

“NEVER!”. Casey grabs a basketball and he hurls it at Cody only for Cody to simply smack it away with one hand. Casey gets up, grabbing a golf club and he swings it at Cody who catches it before snapping it into two. Casey swings his leg out in an effort to deliver a low kick, only for Cody to raise up his leg, blocking the blow. Casey throws a punch only for Cody to catch him before snapping his arm. Casey uses his only good hand to grab a tennis racket and he attempts to swing it at Cody only for the latter to duck before throwing his ultimate. Cody stretches out his neck before winding his fist low to the ground and delivers a powerful uppercut that generates a giant tornado.

The impact instantly sends Casey flying up into the air, flying before falling back first into some sharp metal shrapnel. The shrapnel impales Casey through his back up through his chest, causing him to wheeze out before dying. With his opponent defeated, Cody dusts himself and he curses “Man, how am I supposed to clean up all this?”. Then the police arrive, “I guess I should go before the news reads “Mayor Kills Rugged Hockey Player on the morning paper”. Cody leaves through a back entrance as the police arrive on the scene.

FINISH!/Results[]

Redshock: Bad boys, bad boys whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you? Love that song!

Mortician: Casey's use of anything he can use as a weapon certainly makes this challenging for Cody especially his use of sports equipment but it is not enough to put down Cody. Especially with Cody having his fair share of weapon proficiency.

Redshock: But Casey's biggest weakness is that despite his ability to hold his old against the likes of Raphael and Shredder, he is still one hundred percent human, while Cody is superhuman, even matching against the likes of Ryu and Akuma.

Mortician: What's more is that while Casey has more weapons, Cody has even more raw power, being able to not only take whatever Casey throws at him but can even dish out attacks fatal to Casey.

Redshock: I mean the guy did force Ryu to fight with the Raging Demon and Oni even admits he could beat him if he didn't restrain himself so when Casey broke Cody's chains, it was game over for him.

Mortician: So while Casey certainly has skills and weapons that make this challenging for Cody, in the end, Cody's Skills, Experience and Raw Power was what snatched him the win.

Redshock: Looks like Cody broke the chain of violence here and Casey isn't acting like a spoiled sport. The Winner is Cody Travers!.
