History[]
Carter Kane was born in Los Angeles, California to Egyptologist Julius Kane and his wife Ruby Kane. Ruby died when Carter was eight years old, leaving him alone with his father to travel the world. During the events of The Red Pyramid, his father told him that he chosen host of the god Horus, while his sister is the host of the goddess Isis, and that they are magicians. Before long, they discover that the god Set has a plan to destroy the North American continent, and they need to fight him.
During the events of The Throne of Fire, the two siblings go in search of the god Ra, to fight against Apophis, the God of Chaos, and the mastermind of Set’s actions. During the events of The Serpent’s Shadow their fight with Apophis reaches its climax and they succeed in defeating him. Their banishing of Apophis from the mortal world, accidentally resulted in the banishing of all the gods, for some considerable period.
