Interlude[]
Wiz: Look after the environment kids.
Boomstick. The environment is what thrives these creatures
Wiz: Captain Planet, the eco warrior.
Boomstick:And Hedorah the smog monster from Godzilla.'He's Wiz, and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Captain Planet[]
Wiz: Captain Planet.
Boomstick:Who ya gonna call? Oh I'm mixing 80's franchises up again.
Wiz:Anyway, the sprit of earth, Gaia saw how much shit was on earth so sent out 5 different rings, to who else in a chessy kid's show, teenagers.
Boomstick:The rings contained the elements of fire,earth,wind,water and the most known element of them all,heart.
Wiz:And when the rings combined, they summon Captain Planet.
Boomstick: Does Captain Planet give the teenagers some of their own powers, nope he hogs them all for themselves, selfish dick.
Wiz:Captain Planet always stops, whatever villain of the week, and with a very special message.
Boomstick:Like eat more vegetables or look after oceans. Don't tell me what to do.
Wiz:Captain Planet's strength is great,He stopped a meteor, lifted a power plant.
Boomstick: He also has super speed,able to fly between Europe and Africa in mere seconds.
Wiz: He can take control of Fire,Earth,Wind and Water.
Boomstick:But not heart, taking control of hearts would actually come in handy but guess he didn't want to.
Wiz: However he does have a weakness and that is pollution.
Boomstick: But he battles pollution. That's like if Superman fought kryptonite monsters.
Wiz: It was the 80's there was no thought put into these things.
Boomstick: And if Captain Planet gets covered in pollution, he would shut down for good.
Wiz: But Captain Planet postivity and messages inspire the planeteers
Boomstick: Yeah, yeah, saving the planet and all that. Just don't tell me to eat my vegetables again, I'm a grown man, and I'll have my bacon-wrapped, deep-fried Oreos if I want to.
Wiz: Captain Planet was a product of it's time,but despite that, he's a powerful hero that all eco terrorists should tremble.
Boomstick: I wonder whether the planeteers still talk to each other or if they think it was a pollution induced hallucination. They probably think it's the latter
Wiz: I kinda what to see what that reunion looks like, one of them's probably into crypto.
Boomstick: Captain Planet will always be there to help the planeteers save the day.
Hedorah[]
Wiz: A comet from space arrived on earth, just a cool but unusual phenomenon right?
Boomstick: Wrong, on that comet was Hedorah, an alien lifeform.
Wiz: Hedorah started off as a big tadpole but became even bigger, thanks to feeding off humanity's pollution
Boomstick: It's like a vacuum cleaner for pollution.
Wiz: Hedorah was named after the Japanese word for ooze, hedoro.
Boomstick:Hedroah is also commonly referred to as the smog monster. Because it's a monster made out of smog, way to be creative.
Wiz: Hedorah eventually got found out by Godzilla, when they first met he was only small for a smog monster.
Boomstick:But they would meet again and he would be huge in his form known as a perfect stage. it's like a smog type Pokemon.
Wiz: Hedorah would come close to actually killing Godzilla,buthe was bested by humans. Point 1 for humankind, 0 points to kaiju.
Boomstick Damn it, I was rooting for the kaiju
Wiz: Hedorah very almost managed to kill Godzilla, removing their hand and one of their eyes.
Boomstick:He is one of Godzilla's deadliest villains.
Wiz: Hedorah is made up of a mineral known as Hedrium and this Hedrium, is his main use of attack.
Boomstick: He can launch pieces of his own body and should they land on the opponet, it would either burn or smother them.
Wiz: he can dispatch large quantities of his body, and that doesn't affect his size.
Boomstick: Like my stomach after eating taco bell.
Wiz: He can fire a Sulfuric Acid Mist which can turn people into dust.
Boomstick: He can also fire a laser beam from his eye, which is pretty fuckin awesome.
Wiz: Because of being made from acid, weapons can just slide through him.
Boomstick Like food passes through my stomach at Taco Bell, we're not getting that sponsorship from them any time soon.
Wiz: Despite all that, he does have very one huge weakness, being dried out by electrical currents. He needs moisture to survive, so without the moisture he needs, he crumbles away.

Wiz: Don't say it.
Boomstick You have to ruin the fun don't you.
Wiz:Alright , the combatants are set! We’ve run the data through all possibilities!
Boomstick It's time for a DEATH BATTLE
DEATH BATTLE[]
"So this reuinon huh." kwame said.
"It's nice." Wheeler said. The rest of the Planeteers nodded.
The Planeteers saw a group of people at the beach dumping their litter into the ocean.
"All these years and people never change." Kwame said
"Let our powers, combine. Earth."
"Fire."
"Wind."
"Water."
"Heart."
"By your powers, combined,I am Captain Planet."
Captain Planet ran to the ocean to stop the litters but out of the ocean came out a grey saucer like object with red eyes,who let out an ray of his Sulfuric Acid Mist which turned the litters to dust.
"Heart,now you Hedorah may speak"
"Stand back, Planteers, hide, I'll handle this."
"You can't stop the true nature of humanity."
"Whatever. You're looking a little flat." Captain Planet as he kicked Hedorah.
"Tingly feeling, is that cramp?"
"It's as what disgusting humanity, calls it, toxins. I am Hedorah, the Monster of Smog."
"You're looking smokin. But you are no match for Captain Planet."
Captain Planet concrarted and focused within, he piaced his hands out and took control of the ocean.
"I always wave goodbye." Captain Planet said, as he took control of the ocean and moved the water so Hedorah floated away.
"And that's another job done by Captain Planet."
Captain Planet looked at the air,and noticed it was slowly going black
"Well that isn't right." Captain Planet said.
Hedorah came back, bigger, and more toxic.
"Oh you idiot, the sea's full of pollution." Captain Planet said to himself. Hedorah deatched pieces from his body and moved them towards Captain Planet.
"Agh." Captain Planet screamed.
Captain Planet recovered from the attack
"You don't have to hurt humanity, but if you insist on hurting the people, I will stop you."
"You think you can stop me? I can not be stopped."
Hedorah grew even more, and Captain Planet was looking terrified.
Captain Planet focused on the core of his being—Heart. He tapped into the deepest empathy and compassion within him, sending out a wave of pure love and understanding towards Hedorah.
"You are not the embodiment of humanity's true nature," Captain Planet spoke with unwavering conviction. "Love and harmony are what define us. It's not too late to change."
"And yet humanity hasn't" Hedorah said
"Hedorah, you may see the worst in humanity, but I see the best," Captain Planet replied, his voice filled with unwavering determination. "There are people out there fighting every day to protect the planet and make a difference. They understand the importance of preserving our Earth for future generations."
As Captain Planet spoke, images flashed through his mind—dedicated scientists researching renewable energy, passionate activists rallying for environmental justice, communities coming together to clean up polluted areas, and children learning to respect and care for nature.
"You see, Hedorah, humanity is capable of greatness," Captain Planet continued, his voice resonating with unwavering conviction. "And I will not let you overshadow the progress we've made or the potential we hold. Together, we can create a world where harmony and sustainability prevail."
Captain Planet raised his arms, summoning the combined powers of the elements once more. Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, and Heart converged, creating a radiant aura around him.
"With the power of the elements and the unity of all who strive for a better world, I will defeat you, Hedorah," Captain Planet declared, his voice echoing with determination.
"No." Hedorah said, as he shot a laster at Captain Planet, which threw him to the ground, and Hedorah shot his Sulfuric Acid Mist which turned Captain Planet into dust.
Smog filled the air, as humanity headed to the rule of Hedorah
Analysis[]
Boomstick: Holy shit, what just happened?
Wiz: Hedroah won the death battle, I thought you would know that, at least.
Boomstick: But how, Captain Planet had Heart, how can you defeat Heart? Heart is like the best and totally not useless element of them all
Wiz: Captain Planet's weakness was Hedorah's greatest strength, Pollution.
Boomstick A monster literally made of pollution means Captain Planet didn't stand a chance, even with heart.
Wiz: All of Captain Planet's elements combined couldn't even hurt Hedorah
Boomstick:As Hedorah's weakness was the one element Captain Planet didn't have access to, Electricity
Wiz: Hedorah is the winner
Connections[]
this is more of a contrast matchup that has some surprising connections. Both originated from environmental media (Captain Planet and the Planeteers, and Godzilla vs Hedorah) and are the personification of opposing forces in nature (Captain Planet is the personification of the five elements of the Earth and Hedorah is the personification of pollution). Both possess a variety of powers such as Planet’s control over the elements and Hedorah’s acidic sludge, as well as more general abilities such as flight, increased durability, and super strength. Both also have a specific weakness that can hurt them seriously (high levels of pollution and being dried out for Hedorah), with both being able to counteract this weakness by absorbing something they feed off of (sunlight and pollution). However, both contrast in that Captain Planet comes from the Earth as an avatar of it while Hedorah is said to be an alien lifeform who came to the Earth to feed off its pollution. They contrast further in that Captain Planet is a wisecracking superhero (who can get serious sometimes) and Hedorah is a silent Kaiju (who while appearing to be driven by instinct at first, is revealed to be far more intelligent and sinister than he appears to be). Captain Planet is also typically summoned by the Planeteers while Hedorah forms from several of his smaller counterparts coming together throughout his debut film.
