Description[]
Captain America vs Samurai Jack is AjZero4's 9th Death Battle.
Prelude[]
Wiz: Captain America, The First Avenger
Boomstick: And Samurai Jack, the Warrior from the Past.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: and it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour & skill to find out who would win... A DEATH BATTLE.
Captain America[]
Wiz: Since birth, Steve Rogers embodied the utmost embodiment of the American dream.
Boomstick: Thing was, though, he came into this world in 1920, when the American dream was struggling.
Wiz: Absolutely. Steve was born amidst the great depression, the eldest child of poor Irish immigrants. As a result, he grew up weak and sickly. Disturbed by the atrocities of the ongoing war, he attempted to enlist but was rejected due to his poor physical condition.
Boomstick: Fortunately, a clandestine military scientist overheard his impassioned plea and thought, "let's turn this kid into an unstoppable force!"
Wiz: Not precisely how it occurred. Steve was recruited into a program with the aim of creating a "Super-Soldier." After enduring arduous testing, he was injected with the super-soldier serum, a substance that altered his genetic makeup, pushing him to the pinnacle of human physicality.
Boomstick: And just like that, Steve became Captain America, the embodiment of freedom and justice, with his shield-slinging and Nazi-punching skills. Hell yeah!
Wiz: The super-soldier serum significantly elevated Steve's mental and physical abilities. He's lightning-fast, capable of evading soundwaves, heat-seeking missiles, and even bullets. Even Bartoc The Leaper, who was renowned for his evasion skills, was astounded by Steve's speed, although it's worth noting that Bartoc is indisputably faster than Cap.
Boomstick: But who needs speed when you can hit as hard as Cap does? He goes toe-to-toe with Marvel's mightiest warriors and can even draw blood from individuals like Nuke, who is practically invulnerable. He can even hurl his shield with such force that he obliterates helicopter tails.
Wiz: Speaking of which, Steve effortlessly brings helicopters crashing down and snaps steel chains like they're nothing. His strength is augmented by the presence of his iconic shield.
Boomstick: It's an indisputable fact that all who come against his shield must yield, right?
Wiz: That's not entirely true, but the shield is undeniably powerful. With a single throw, Cap can cleanly slice through tank cockpits and shatter solid brick to pieces. The super-soldier serum enhances his reflexes, enabling him to swiftly calculate ballistic physics and predict where the shield will strike. The shield's defensive capabilities are one of Cap's greatest strengths. It is virtually unbreakable, a quality that amplified when it was infused with Asgardian uru metal during the Fear Itself event.
Boomstick: And let's not forget the existing material called "Proto-Adamantium." It's a mixture of vibrainum, solid steel, and some mystery substance. It absorbs kinetic energy while transferring only a fraction of it, allowing Cap to block incoming attacks with minimal recoil.
Wiz: Additionally, Cap's durability is off the charts. He shrugs off buildings collapsing on him without a single bone breaking. During a riot, a man struck him with a chunk of concrete, and it barely phased him.
Boomstick: Plus, he takes bullets like I take mosquito bites. They sting, but they don't slow him down.
Wiz: That's if they manage to hit him. Cap has countless instances of dodging gunfire even after it's been unleashed. While some of these feats can be attributed to his astute reflexes, there's no denying his lightning-fast reactions.
Boomstick: But despite being the ultimate patriot fighting for freedom and justice, Cap does have a few weaknesses.
Wiz: Aside from occasional stamina issues, Cap shares the vulnerabilities of an ordinary human. Although his uniform offers defensive measures, it's shown to be ineffective against stabbing weapons and firearms.
Boomstick: Especially firearms. Sure, he can shrug off bullets, but let's not forget, he actually died from them. So, he's not invincible. The only thing he's truly invulnerable to is any threat against freedom because Cap always stands up for what's right and what's American. Whether you're a regular Nazi or a celestial god, Cap won't back down, no matter what.
Samurai Jack[]
Wiz: Once upon a time... an ancient evil descended upon Earth, carried by a meteorite. The Emperor and Samurai Lord of Japan valiantly battled this malevolent force, which would later be known as Aku. They succeeded in imprisoning this newly formed darkness, and shortly thereafter, the Samurai's son was born, destined to become the legendary "Samurai Jack".
Boomstick: The tale of young Jack begins immediately after his father's triumph over Aku. For most of his early years, Jack enjoyed a blissful and tranquil life. However, Aku managed to break free from his captivity and laid waste to Jack's homeland. In order to protect him, Jack's mother sent him off on a journey to become a formidable warrior. And yes, he even rocked the pajamas and sandals look.
Wiz: Jack ventured across the vast lands of Afro-Eurasia, exploring various cultures and learning a multitude of fighting techniques. His travels took him to India, Egypt, Africa, Russia, England, and China, where he obtained unparalleled knowledge and wisdom.
Boomstick: Armed with this vast expertise, Jack honed his skills in survival, mastered ninjutsu to the point of becoming one with light due to his all-white attire, and excelled in archery, swordsmanship, and various combat styles. Jack's mastery extends to a range of weapons, from spears and staffs to nunchukus and shurikens. He even became adept at picking up unfamiliar weapons by observing others and incorporating their techniques into his own arsenal.
Wiz: Despite his father's warning, Jack defied caution and confronted Aku head-on, coming perilously close to defeating the ancient evil. However, just before the final blow could be landed, Aku utilized a portal to cast Jack into the unforgiving embrace of the future.
Boomstick: Really hate it when that happens. It's like battling that one gym leader or Elite Four member in Pokémon, and then they whip out a stupid Max Potion to ruin your day.
Wiz: In this dystopian future, Jack showcased his honed skills by battling Aku's minions and relentless bounty hunters.
Boomstick: Jack possesses superhuman strength, carving through enemies with ease and tossing foes bigger than himself. His astounding speed allows him to evade gunfire, swiftly dismantle entire armies, and defeat a team of six legendary bounty hunters in the blink of an eye.
Wiz: Jack's versatile combat training encompasses Shaolin monk techniques, nimble ninjutsu, Greek wrestling, and African stick fighting. He possesses an extensive repertoire of weapons, adapting to any tool at his disposal with remarkable proficiency.
Boomstick: And let's not forget when he evaded beams of light, like sunlight reflecting off a magnifying mirror. Dodged 'em several times, not even once! So all those naysayers calling it an outlier can shove it!
Wiz: Moving on... Jack's astonishing jumping ability almost defies gravity, allowing him to reach the towering heights of mountain-sized Aku. This unique skill, acquired through encounters with gorillas and a jungle-dwelling man, amplifies his strength, speed, and agility to astonishing levels.
Boomstick: Jack can even withstand blows from gigantic Aku as well as foes of his own caliber. His endurance is truly remarkable, enduring incredible physical pain while standing firm and continuing to fight.
Wiz: His stamina is unparalleled, enduring battles that last hours or even days, like his legendary duel with the Scotsman.
Boomstick: And let's not forget when he scaled a massive mountain wearing nothing but his regular clothes, plunged down to almost rock bottom, and then climbed back up to the summit like it was no biggie. Or that time he single-handedly battled hordes of undead zombies and ghosts in a graveyard all night long.
Wiz: Jack possesses an unbreakable force of will, conquering insurmountable challenges. He climbed one of the world's tallest mountains without provisions or protective clothing. He continues to fight against overwhelming odds, fueled by his unwavering determination to defeat Aku.
Boomstick: But Jack's true trump card lies in his legendary sword. Forged by the three gods Odin, Ra, and Vishnu, this indestructible weapon is one of the few capable of harming Aku. It is wielded solely by those of pure heart, incapable of causing harm to the innocent. When Aku attempted to use the sword against Jack, it proved utterly futile.
Wiz: The sword possesses the power to cut through any ordinary substance, given enough force behind it. However, certain magically enhanced objects, like the Scotsman's blade, remain immune to its edge.
Boomstick: The sword's primary purpose is to vanquish Aku and protect the innocent. However, Jack overlooked a crucial aspect during his initial battle with Aku—the sword's power is only as strong as its wielder.
Wiz: But will this be enough to defeat Captain America? Let's find out.
Pre-Death Battle[]
Wiz: All right, the combatants are set, lets end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: IT’S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!
Death Battle[]
A grim city stands in ruins, marked by the chaos caused by Aku. The cold wind howls through the desolate streets as Captain America and Samurai Jack face each other, ready for a fight to the death.
Captain America: (firmly) Samurai Jack, we find ourselves on opposing sides today. As a man of honor, I never thought we would meet like this.
Samurai Jack: (equally determined) Indeed, Captain. In these dire times, my duty compels me to challenge anyone who embraces chaos and tyranny, even if it's the mighty Captain America.
Both warriors tighten their grips on their respective weapons, shields and katana gleaming in the dim light.
Captain America: We may fight for different causes, Samurai, but respecting your skill, I assure you I will not hold back. Prepare yourself!
FIGHT!
Samurai Jack initiates the attack, his lightning-fast strikes pushing Cap on the defensive.
Captain America: Impressive! Your speed is unmatched.
Captain America counters with his shield, blocking Jack's strikes with unparalleled precision.
Samurai Jack: Your shield, it's unlike anything I've ever seen before.
Captain America: It's made of vibranium, a rare and powerful metal. But let's see how it fares against your legendary katana!
Captain America lunges with his shield, attempting to disarm Jack, who skillfully evades and counters with a series of swift strikes that chip away at Cap's defenses.
Samurai Jack: Your shield may be sturdy, but I sense a weakness in its agility.
Jack makes a decisive move, dodging Cap's shield and landing a powerful blow, sending him sprawling.
Captain America: (gritting his teeth) You've improved since the last time we crossed paths, Samurai.
Samurai Jack: (regaining his composure) And so have you, Captain. But my goal is a just one, and no obstacle will stand in my way!
Both warriors engage in an intense exchange of blows, each showcasing their unparalleled prowess in combat. With each passing moment, their exhaustion becomes evident.
Captain America: Your determination is impressive. But I won't let you defeat me!
Samurai Jack: (with unwavering determination) The same could be said for me, Captain! I will vanquish you, for the sake of those innocent lives you've endangered!
Samurai Jack, driven by a surge of energy, delivers a final devastating blow to Captain America, sending him crashing to the ground.
Captain America: (struggling to rise) It seems you've bested me, Samurai Jack. Finish it.
Samurai Jack, acknowledging Captain America's resilience, sheathes his katana and approaches him with respect.
Samurai Jack: I admire your courage, Captain. But my duty binds me to ensure the tyranny of Aku ends here.
With a swift movement, Samurai Jack delivers a compassionate but deadly blow, putting an end to Captain America's valiant fight.
As Captain America's life fades away, Samurai Jack stands solemnly, honoring the sacrifice of a worthy opponent.
Samurai Jack: Rest in peace, Captain. Though we fought on different sides, your determination will be remembered.
And so, in the desolate Aku City, Samurai Jack stands as the victor. With the echoes of the battle lingering in the air, he continues his journey, carrying the weight of yet another challenge overcome.
K.O!
