Intro[]
Soldiers are bad ass
Right you are bad ass and today we have two of them that were put to sleep for years
As well as being couragous as hell
And have rumored indestuctable shield
Captain America, the first Avenger
And; Link, the Hero of the Wild
He's Wiz and l'm Boomstick
And it's our duty to analyze their armor weapons and skills to find out who would win a Deathbattle
Captain America[]
The 1940's an uncertain time, Europe, Asia and, the Pacific was being ravaged by the Second World War
And Europe in particular had the worst of it, Nazi Germany
The Allies desperate for a way to win the war as fast as possible had to resort to a drastic measure
A super soldier experiment, i wonder how this will go wrong
This one actually worked out ok
Aw c'mon
The problem was finding a soldier
Enter some little skinny guy with every health problem known to man
Steve Rogers
Question, out of all the men to pick why'd they pick someone that the wind could knock over?
He showed immense bravery and could stand as America's symbol of courage
Well either way he came out of it as a bad ass and went beyond the call of duty to save abunch of men
That's when he found a Nazi organization called Hydra
And soon after he was given a cool shield!
It was seen as unbreakable able to block nearly anything
But even after he pretty much single handedly ended the European theater he ended up getting frozen
Years later in the present he was found and unfrozen, Captain America was part of the world again
Good 'ol Mr. Rogers as a super soldier is stronger and faster than a normal human
He has comparable reaction speed to Spider-Man, possibly even better as Parker has spidey-sense while Roger's doesn't
And Spider-man can react to things going around 254,830,000 mph
And scaling to Black Panther who Cap can keep pace with, he can run up to mach 1.04
Are you sure he's just super human?
He can take out other super humans, like when he knocked out Deadpool
Well, at least he has a way to shut him up
He once threw his shield faster than an ICBM, in order to do this he needed to throw it with a force of 70.2 pounds of TNT
He's probably even stronger, he can dent and even break Iron Man's armor
Not to mention that he threw his shield at 15,658.6 mph
He can casually throw anchors with one arm
The lightest anchors are around 1.25 tons (as determined in SpongeBob VS Aquaman)
And that's the lowest too
And at the very least he can tank an explosion worth 0.01 tons of TNT or 30,859,600.33 pounds of force
His shield how over is strong enough to tank hits from Thor
Oh damn and the shield wasn't even scratched
Truly, America will be safe with Captain America there

BOTW Link[]
Years upon years, the Triforce has kept Hyrule in harmony
By harmony you mean a pig man tries to kill it every 20 years?
The Princess' Zelda wield the Triforce of Wisdom
Ganon takes the Triforce of Power
And, the Triforce of Courage, needs it's owner to prove himself over and over and in a world decimated by Calamity Ganon; the Hero of the Wild was chosen, a new Link was here to save Hyrule
But Ganon pulled a bitch move and took over all their electronics and Link trying to protect Zelda got his ass handed to him and had to be put to sleep for 100 years
And when he awoke, without his memories he embarked on a journey to save Zelda and the rest of Hyrule once again
His main weapon, The Master Sword, is a beast of a weapon which can harm Calamity Ganon
Comparing to fellow Link's he can feasibly lift around 12.5 tons
He can tank huge falls and devastating attacks
Once again scaling to another Link he can react to speeds up to 160,950,000 mph (As determined in Toon Link VS Kris)
He can climb walls like Spider-man!
After freeing the spirits of the Champions, Link gained 4 new abilities
Daruk's Protection can tank any attack and reflect it
Urbosa's Fury electrocutes anything nearby
Mipha's Grace will revive Link
And Revali's Gale launches Link upwards
There's a downside to these powers
They are limited to only a few uses every so often
He also has his trusty Hylian Shield that's apparently unbreakable!
It can tank explosive lasers from Guardians
He also has a Super Ipad
Sheikah Slate
With his Ipad he can lift anyhting metal and stop time!
That's true and with Stasis, when something is stopped in time he can hit them storing up kinetic energy when it ends it will be sent in that direction
He can make pillar of ice! and magic bombs!
As well as use his camera to gain information about what he's fighting
He even has arrows that can freeze, burn, shock and, blow shit up
While his Ice Arrows aren't as cold as Toon Link's it's shown to freeze most foes instantly
Bomb arrows explode in extreme heat yet if it's raining the bomb won't explode
The Ancient Arrows outright disentigrate non-ancient armor wearing foes
Holy shit
He even has a Light Bow which can travel for miles
However since "holiness" it can't harm non-evil opponents
Which is good considering Link is a literal reincarnation of himself over and over
Ever wonder why the hero is blonde hair and blue eyed?
NO! NO! We're not even gonna do this bit, besides, some Link's were red headed anyway with black eyes
I'm just saying, very suspiscous
It's probably to keep the Link's looking similar so people can tell when a new hero is born

Anyway, Link and Zelda sealed Ganon away to save Hyrule once more

Pre-Battle[]
Alright, with the combatants all set and the data run through all possibilities, let's end this debate once and for all
It's time for a Death battle!
Battle[]
Captain America: A blue portal opens in the sky and Captain America falls out landing in the field in from of Hyrule Castle
Link: Draws his sword at the sudden appearance, keeping his stern face
Captain America: Gets up and notices Link
Link: Ready to fight
Captain America: You don't wanna do this
Captain America: Throws his shield
Link: Reflects it with Daruk’s Protection
Captain America: Catches the shield runs forward
Link: Fires an arrow
Captain America: Blocks it
Link: Fires a bomb arrow
Captain America: It explodes on his shield
Link: Looks confused and runs at him with the Master Sword and slashes
The sword and the shield clash and there’s a loud sound from it causing a shock wave knocking them both back
Captain America: Woah…
Link: Shocked face
They both make determined faces and run at each other
[The track ramps up in speed]
Captain America: Punches Link’s face jumping back as the retaliating slash was made and bashes forward with his shield
Link: Parries with his own shield and slashes at him several times before kicking him forward and firing a bomb arrow
Captain America: Hit back and then hit by the arrow and launches in the air
Link: Uses Revali’s gale to fly upward and fire and Ancient Arrow
Captain America: He blocks the arrow as it explodes in front of him
Link: Gnn...Disappointed he wasted his arrow and goes back down using stasis on the landing Cap
Captain America: Stopped in time as a plethora of arrows are fired at him before he is unfroze and hit back before lightning strikes down knocking him down again
Link: Runs over to slash him
Captain America: Sweep kicks under him to trip him getting up and wiping his face I can do this all day…
Link: Swings his sword at his feet
Captain America: Jumps over it
Link: Gets up fast and slashes
Captain America: Parries it and bashes with his shield and grabs his hands before he goes to far and pulls him close and starts punching all over him kicking his sword away grabbing the shield and ripping it clean out of his hands and throws it
Link: Reared back and headbutts him
Captain America: Agh!
Link: Shoves him back and quickly using magnesis to get his shield back fast and quickly thinks to grab Cap's shield
Captain America: Feels his shield being pulled Wuh? Yanks back
Link: The slate is pulled from his hand Eagh!?
Captain America: Throws the shield at it and the slate shatters
They look at each other and run at the shield stuck in the ground
Captain America: Grabs it first and uppercuts Link
Link: Slashes at the shield
Captain America: Parries a hit and swings
Link: Taken aback before quickly blocking with his own shield, sparks go flying, before he knocks back and slashes at him several times
Captain America: Hits downward with his shield to knock his sword away, and bashes him again and gets a crushing blow with a shield punch in the ribs
Link: Gasps as Mipha appears
Mipha’s Spirit: It was my pleasure
Link: Taken aback and ready to fight again and drawing the light bows and fires a light arrow
Captain America: Takes no effect and runs at him
Link: GH?!
They bash shields, and both back up
Link: Looks at his shield it, getting banged up
Captain America: Your shields not looking hot...stay down
Link: Aims a bomb arrow and fires it
Captain America: Throws his shield and it slides right by the arrow to destroy Link’s bow and cocks his head to avoid the arrow
Link: Gasps as his bow is shattered
Captain America: Rushes in and starts punching again and kicking him away
Link: Skids back and charges a spin attack and dashes towards him
Captain America: Woah! Shields it as he skids back and parries
Link: Taken aback and slashes at him for the opening
Captain America: Takes a hit which cuts some his face and his mask strap is cut
Link: Rips the mask off to slash again
Captain America: Moves to the sides taking a hit on the shoulder and bashes his face
Link: Backs up with her nose broke and he shields
Captain America: Rushes at him and wails his shield against Link’s
Sparks fly as the metal bashes, as the Hylian Shield starts to break
Link: N- He’s hit in the face with the shield and backs up, only the Master Sword is left
They clash again and sparks go everywhere as they attempt to get their one final blow in this goes on for awhile showing the two sweating and panting as they try ending the fight
Link: Swings his sword with all he’s got
Captain America: Quickly blocks the sword
Link: The sword “shatters” needing to recharge Goh!? He looks up only to be shield bashed back and hit with a savage blow in his chest cracking heard as he coughs up blood and falls back laying there
Captain America: Sorry…

Analysis[]
Oh damn, that was a damn good one
While Link had a greater striking strength, Captain America’s striking strength was higher than Link’s durability
Link’s own attacks harm himself with capability of killing, as well as visibly being hurt by stuff like bees and wolves
As for Link’s lighting arrows and Urbosa’s Fury, Captain America has had to face Thor before, meaning there’s no doubt he can take being shocked
And one of Cap’s best durability feats was tanking an explosion meaning that Link’s remote and arrow bombs were no problem for him
Link commonly uses Ice Arrows to damage opponents, who when he hits them they’re clearly still alive in there, and well; Cap’s no stranger to being frozen without dying
If there’s anything keeping an opponent from being caught on fire, such as fire resistant armor or knowing how to put themselves out, the fire arrows were essentially useless
And Cap has soldier training as well as being an Avenger, he definitely knows how to put himself out if he was set on fire
As well as flame proof armor
So the fire arrows are about as useful as normal arrows
Ancient Arrows may disintegrate foes instantly, strong enough armor will keep it it at bay
Armor, or a shield that’s made of vibranium
So that means all of Link’s arrow types, a champion ability and, a rune that are rendered as unable to put Mr. Rogers down
Revali’s Gale has no combative use besides getting Link in the air to fire arrows, which already we said wouldn’t be able to deal a killing blow
Stasis can straight up stop an opponent
But on living being it lasts incredibly short and doesn’t increase damage output, as well as it takes time to recharge and takes time to aim, meaning in a fast pace fight it’d be hard to hit consistently
Cryonis is only useful on water and even then only for him to create a platform to regain stamina
Magnesis could be used to take Cap’s shield
But he can hold Helicopters down so he isn’t letting Link take it anytime soon
Speaking of which, Link’s lifting strength is only from scaling to another Link while Cap’ lifting strength is his own
Even then it could be higher, we only measured based on the smallest of anchors, using the heaviest of anchors it pits him at 15 tons for his lifting strength
But the Helicopter feat is better than that, putting his lifting strength at around adding a 1.6 tons to the previous feat, firmly putting his lifting strength at 16.6 tons
Which means Captain America is 1.3 times stronger than Link, through his own merit instead of scaling
And Daruk’s protection can only block 3 attacks, parrying only ranged attacks
And the only ranged option Cap has is throwing his shield, and Cap can can easily just catch it
Mipha’s grace will restore Link back to full health from near death
Yet, if Cap can put him down once he can put him down again
And his reaction speed is 1.5 times faster than Link’s, once again through his own feats instead of scaling
He’s also just regularly faster and even more mobile
And he even has more stamina
Link can run nonstop for 10 whole minutes, which is impressive, but Cap can go for hours without stopping
If we lowball those hours to only 2; then Cap has 12 times more stamina
Both of their shields are labeled as unbreakable but which one is more unbreakable?
While both shields have been broken before, Cap’s shield can tank a hit from Thor without a scratch while Link’s will completely shatter after only around 27 Guardian attacks before breaking from mint condition
Certainly sounds like it was getting worn down all those attacks
So Cap’s shield was way more durable than Link’s can hope to be before breaking
What about Link’s final 2 weapons?
Well the Light arrow wouldn’t effect Cap as he’s not evil
He’s pretty much the embodiment of being a goody-two-shoes
And the Master Sword needs to recharge after extensive use and is stronger around evil in which Cap is not
So in other words, Cap has the capability to get around or straight up IGNORE Link’s entire arsenal
And while Link’s arsenal and close stats made the battle extremely tricky for Cap eventually he would’ve pulled through to eventually win the battle
Looks like Captain America exposed the weak Link

- I had made an error, it doesn't effect results, I failed to realized that while the helicopter weighs 16.6 tons; it was also taking off at the same time. Cap needed to be holding down essentially 33.2 tons, making his lifting strength even greater than thought before.
- This is the first battle I made that won an award specifically 3rd place in "East vs West" for the 7th DBF awards
- TotK might allow for a rematch to take place
