Calliope Mori vs. Mechikabura is a collaborative What-If? Death Battle made by SoMaShadow and RandoMan21. This fight will be pitting Calliope Mori from Hololive against Mechikabura from the Dragon Ball series.
Description[]
Hololive vs. Dragon Ball! 2 of the deadliest gods out there have used their dark powers for either good or evil! Now, it's time to put these immense powers to the test in an all-out brawl! Can the pure-hearted Shinigami claim the Dark King's soul or will the Demon Realm ruler turn the Underworld empress into nothingness?
Interlude[]
(Cue Music: Wiz and Boomstick)
Wiz: Calliope Mori, HoloMyth's immortal apprentice to the Grim Reaper.
Boomstick: And Mechikabura, Dragon Ball's Dark King of the Demon Realm.
Wiz: Death is coming for us all. And when it does, these 2 warriors may be waiting on the other side.
Boomstick: And chances are, you're either gone or you'll get to listen to some tunes on the way! He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle!
Calliope Mori Takes the Soul of DEATH BATTLE! (SoMaShadow)[]
Wiz: In the beginning, before even existence itself, the Gods began to shape reality, forming the concepts which would govern all of existence. They first created Space. However, Space is nothing but a collection of textures and principles, and with these textures and concepts floating boundless, they created Chaos. Thus, the Gods created Nature to bind together and give context to these textures. Alas, Nature was merely but an existence. Hence, the Gods poured in Time to orchestrate their growth, and with the support of Time, lifeforms achieved evolution.
Boomstick: Once they’d evolved enough, the lifeforms begged for power, and the Gods bestowed knowledge to them. With this knowledge came the birth and growth of Civilisation. However, Civilisation’s growth was a danger to the order of the universe since it wasn’t directly crafted by the Gods. Civilisation corrupted Nature, and Time gained extensive power through Civilisation’s growth, binding Civilisation and Nature through aging and death, and the ongoing conflict between Space and Time came to a head.
Wiz: In the end, the Gods found order in Chaos. By creating avatars for the main concepts of the universe and Chaos, they deemed that Chaos shall govern existence via a council of their avatars, and with this, the Gods entered into their ongoing slumber. However, in the Gods’ creation of Nature, there was a side effect that occurred once more not through their direct design. This was the concept of Death, the counterbalance to life itself. For so long as life itself exists, there must also be Death, and this concept presents itself in many unique ways.
Boomstick: In the Underworld, a realm that lies outside of the multiverse which the Council was made to govern, Death manifested itself in the form of Shinigami, or Reapers. The first of which, Death, taking up the title of the Grim Reaper. Tasked with stealing the souls, the very essence of life from the living and recently departed, and bringing them back to the Underworld, Death played an essential role in the equilibrium of existence. For as quickly as new life would be created and evolve, he would act as the balance which allowed for new life to exist. He was a pretty chill old man though.
Popup: The Underworld is a constantly changing realm, shifting its physical appearance to match the current state of civilisation. Currently, it resembles a modern city. Additionally, as it came into existence at the same time as Nature, it predates Time, and thus the Shinigami are not bound by time’s flow. Furthermore, Calli has stated that time doesn’t exist for her, which is why her official age is listed as “No”.
Wiz: Though for everything Death had done, he sought to take another Reaper under his wing and teach them the proper way of a Shinigami. To pass on his title and role, he would need the most suitable candidate among all of the Underworld’s denizens, and eventually, he found the Reaper he was looking for. This was Calliope Mori, and she would go on to receive the tutelage of Death, eventually becoming the next Grim Reaper herself. As for Death, or Death-Sensei as the Underworldians affectionately call him, he’d remain in the Underworld, though a small manifestation of his being hangs out around her from time to time.
Boomstick: In Calli, Death-Sensei saw untapped potential and talent, but most of all, it was her unwavering determination and never-give-up attitude that made her perfect for the position. She’s hard-working to a fault and always putting 100% into everything she does. If Calli’s got a goal in mind, you’d better believe she’s not gonna stop until it’s reached. So whether that be putting up with Underworldian school and the bullying of the demons within or conducting scythe swinging lessons for younger reapers in order to get enough money to afford enough to stay in Death-Sensei City, she’ll stick to it until it’s done.
Wiz: Under Death-Sensei’s tutelage, Calli would come to be proficient in the use of flails, axes, crossbows, machetes, swords, clubs, and daggers, but most importantly, her trusty scythe. Five feet long and especially designed for taking souls and lives, it’s her go-to when on the job, and she can summon it at any time. She can also extend the reach of its blade with a massive trailing arc that hits targets well after she’s swung and can inflict instant death on those unfortunate enough to face her, or simply erase them and their souls from existence. Not that she wouldn’t be capable of killing them the normal way, of course.
Boomstick: Which brings us to an important topic we need to preface. As a manifestation of Death, the Calli we see is an avatar for the concept of Death itself, like the members of Council with their own respective concepts. If her body is destroyed or harmed, she can just reform it with no issue, but even then, she’s had a scythe run through her body and not felt a thing or needed to heal. Even erasing her from existence doesn’t work since the Underworld lies outside of existence, and she can just come back regardless. You’d need to remove the concept of Death itself in order to really put her down, so her True Form in the Realm of the Gods is gonna be safe in most circumstances.
Popup: Calli has many times referenced being the sovereign of the Underworld, as either a ruler or Queen. It is likely that within Underworldian society, the appointed ruler is the Grim Reaper of the time. As seen in Calli's Christmas Catastrophe, when Calli is in the Overworld, Death-Sensei takes the throne in her place, given his position as her Shinigami sensei and the Grim Reaper before her.
Wiz: So with Death-Sensei to guide her, Calli’s training fully took off. She’d come to learn and master abilities invaluable to her position as the next Grim Reaper, such as flight and levitation, hearing heartbeats, teleportation, dimensional travel, as well as creating portals to and from the Underworld and banishing others there. Likewise, she can take, manipulate, and control the souls of any being, whether alive or dead, and even change their properties, making them able to slip into her pocket or fill up a wine glass. And as Calli lacks a soul, and is neither dead nor alive, even Death-Sensei wouldn’t be able to claim her.
Boomstick: As the end to life itself, her abilities don’t stop there. She can change and alter the fate of beings to her whims, usually just making them meet with a gruesome end, and even claims she can do so to all of mankind. Calli’s also able to use magic, allowing for the manipulation of fire, heat, ice, wind, lightning, earth, smoke and illusions, as well as transmuting objects and turning invisible. She even claims to be able to eat dreams, drain life and “cheat reality”, which isn’t too far-fetched given the kinds of beings on her level, like Ceres Fauna, Nature herself, and Kronii Ouro, the Warden of Time.
Wiz: With an eternity to perfect her skills, Calli become a legendary and feared Shinigami, maintaining the balance of souls flowing to the Underworld and keeping its citizens in line. But this life was a lonely one. She was making it on her own, but there wasn’t really anyone who truly took the time to befriend her for who she was. Eventually, she would meet exactly that kind of person in the phoenix Takanashi Kiara. Though she would revive each time she died, Kiara’s deaths led to their meeting in the Underworld, and over time they grew a close friendship, if a little begrudging on Calli’s behalf.
Boomstick: Despite what she’d say, it was obvious that our Tsundereaper cared about this new friend and the blooming friendship they built together, even if Kiara had to leave each time she revived. As the ages passed and they grew closer with each death and revival, the rest of the world moved on too. Civilisation progressed significantly further and new ideas, concepts and trends began to filter into the Underworld as they died, in either a literal or metaphorical sense. Cause it’s where literally everything goes to die. Be it the Japanese rap scene or Wiz’s dating life.
Popup: The Underworld within VTuber cosmology is often referred to by many other names, such as Hell or the Afterlife. In order to exist as an undead within the Underworld, one must first pass through the River Styx, but should this process be interrupted, then it is possible to be brought back as a Zombie, as Kureiji Ollie shows. That said, she has since been allowed within the Underworld itself, and is considered a citizen.
Wiz: Hey! It’s not like you’re doing any better. But back on topic, as medical care advanced and evolved over time, people began to live longer lives and her job as the Grim Reaper began to slow down. Though the killing industry was on a slow decline, Calli still had to keep up her job, and it was during this time that she would find a deep and genuine passion for music, and rapping in particular. With a dream to visit Overworldian Japan to see her favourite bands perform live, Calli took up a summer job at a family restaurant in order to raise the funds necessary to do so. It was… very unpleasant, to put it lightly.
Boomstick: I’ll say! Big ups to her, she stuck through it to the end of summer and quit as soon as she had enough money, but have you been to… uhh, Applebitches we’ll call them? You should be able to figure out what it is. And yes, it’s literally the same chain. Of course they’d have a restaurant in the Underworld, because it sucks! The customer service industry is rough, man… Anyway, her time in Japan was amazing, but as she returned, Calli began to seriously look at the prospect of music as a career. She was already a talented artist and musician, but with her reaping job slowing down, a new pathway opened up for her; one she loved as much as her job as a reaper.
Wiz: So she’d put pen to paper and write song upon song, but with her responsibilities as the Grim Reaper and another job on the side to get by, it seemed like her dream of being an artist and musician wouldn’t be sustainable. She spent several years making music with only a small audience, but it was at this time that she stumbled upon auditions for a branch of English-speaking idols and streamers for the international company Hololive Production. Figuring it was worth a shot, she began to study and research the talents under their umbrella, excited at the possibility of joining them, and putting together her own notes in preparation for an audition, if she made it through. And to her surprise, she actually did!
Boomstick: Accepted as part of the next wave of virtual streamers, or VTubers, Calli saw a new future ready to unfold before her. With this being a full-time gig, she took an indefinite hiatus from reaping in order to fully focus on her new job, and Death-Sensei took back the reigns as the Grim Reaper to allow Calli to give her all in this new part of her life. So with everything set for a hopeful new beginning, Calli was fully brought into the company as the first member of their new wave of EN VTubers, Hololive Myth, or HoloMyth for short. It was here that she’d finally reunite with Kiara, and make close friends for life with her other gemmates; Gawr Gura, Amelia Watson and Ninomae Ina’nis.
Popup: As confirmed by the talents, Hololive crossovers with other series are considered canon, with Azur Lane, Disgaea, Dawn of the Breakers, Counter:Side and Neptunia Virtual Stars being prime examples of this. Within Neptunia, Faira has compared the power of VTubers like Tokino Sora, Roboco-san, Shirogane Noel and many more to that of the CPU Goddesses, and in Disgaea, Tsunomaki Watame, Uruha Rushia, Shiranui Flare, Omaru Polka and Shirakami Fubuki are comparable to the Overlords. Both the CPU Goddesses and the Overlords possess Multiversal levels of power.
Wiz: Hololive has always been home to an array of… curious personalities, but Myth may just have the strangest collection of them all. The Grim Reaper herself, an immortal phoenix warrior, a Tako priestess for ancient Lovecraftian deities, a descendant of the Atlanteans, and a time-travelling detective make one hell of a combination, but they took the world by storm. The influence they had, and still have, on the VTuber and streaming spheres are felt to this day, paving the way for countless new VTubers, both independent and in Hololive, to spread their wings and follow their passions.
Boomstick: Though just because her passion for streaming began, doesn’t mean that her ability and job to take souls diminished in the slightest. Turns out, the ascended souls of the people who are “vaporised by the wholesome interactions between VTubers” flow directly to her as well. Plus, her fans, the Dead Beats, all willing give up their souls to her in order to support her. In fact, it’s said that the massive size of the dub by becoming a Dead Beat burns off your skin and turns you into a skeleton. Calli can also directly call on the Dead Beats any time, be it for battle or a stream.
Wiz: Calli would come to collaborate and make genuine friends with the Hololive talents that came before her, and those following shortly after. Despite the image her hardcore vocals and general appearance may portray, she’s a kid and gentle girl, who cares deeply for her friends. Her fans even took to calling her “Dad” during a reading stream due to the title of the manga they were reading. Likening her to the Queen of all VTubers, the name stuck not only through major use, but because she’s a really down-to-earth and comforting person. A figure to look up to and be inspired by.
Boomstick: Yep, getting some major Dad vibes here. She’s the queen of gap moe, and every stream of hers is a blast, whether it be gaming, chatting, or anything in-between. But one of Calli’s most distinguishing factors is her amazing musical talent. Even in her debut, she already had a full song ready for us, and would only go on to create many more! DEAD BEATS, Your Mori and Shinigami Note all being banger EPs, and UnAlive being the first full album produced by any Hololive member, with Sinderella as her second. Not to mention her fantastic singles, covers, or the times she’s featured in other artists’ songs, even those outside of Hololive like Monarch.
Popup: Within the game HoloCure, Calli has access to the skills The Rapper, Work-a-holic and Death. The first boosts damage to close-range enemies and increases her critical hit chance, the second raises her attack and speed for each target defeated, and the third gives a 30% chance to make enemies explode and carries a 10% chance for instant death. Her special attack, The Reaper, summons a manifestation of Death-Sensei which harms foes, buffs her damage by 300% and increases the damage of critical hits to 300% for 15 seconds.
Wiz: Not only did becoming a VTuber with Hololive allow her to further her passions and dreams, but it also bestowed upon her a number of new abilities. Although unbound by time, Calli gained the ability to manipulate it to her will, be that through stopping it, or travelling through it at her leisure. She also became able to duplicate herself indefinitely, and alter her size to be as big or small as she wants, with no defined limit. Additionally, she can manipulate and erase the memories of others, alongside being able to possess others’ bodies. But perhaps the most curious ability VTubers possess is their inability to die.
Boomstick: Not even we know exactly what causes it, but VTubers simply can’t die. Even if their body is destroyed, they don’t go to the Underworld like everyone else does, they regenerate or pop back into existence. Furthermore, the death-inducing spells of Uruha Rushia, a member of Hololive’s third wave, Hololive Fantasy, don’t work on her fellow VTubers, and Rushia, alongside Gen 0’s Sakura Miko, could come back from being turned into a Tetris block, and reduced to nothing. Inugami Korone from Hololive Gamers was likewise able to immediately come back after being erased from existence by her gemmate, Ookami Mio.
Wiz: She even claimed she could erase Hololive Gen 2’s Oozora Subaru, a metaphysical being who is a living thought, and fellow Gen 2 member Minato Aqua could regenerate despite her body being erased and her soul being crushed by HoloForce’s Amane Kanata. Furthermore, they’re even able to enter fictionalized realities such as video games, blank canvases and 2-D drawings, and can interrupt the very narrative of the medium in which they inhabit, directing it in their own way, as shown by AKZi of Gen 0, Mio and many others. Not even the very plot of a story is safe from their insane capabilities.
Boomstick: And as shown in the official crossover with Azur Lane, VTubers can generate weapons and objects into existence, similar to Minecraft. This even extends to entire universes and alternate planes of reality like the Resource World. These realms are under the complete control of the creator, and they can change the rules of these dimensions as they see fit, be that to make your friends explode if they lose in a game or to create and alter the various biomes found within. Gen 0’s Tokino Sora, the Goddess of Hololive, as well as the managers A-Chan and Enma have all been able to create these kinds of realms by themselves, and Calli’s on their level.
Popup: Within the greater VTuber cosmology, other agencies such as Nijisanji and VShojo are considered canon. There have been multiple crossovers and references between their material, and some of the talents have directly collabed with them before, such as Kiara and Ame collabing with Pomu Rainpuff of Nijisanji, or Kiara and Calli collabing with Ironmouse of VShojo. Calli has also collabed with the independent VTuber Monarch, and has appeared on the Trash Taste Podcast.
Wiz: She’s said to be capable of destroying the entire Underworld if pissed off enough, and is stronger than Akai Haato/Haachama of Gen 1, who can create supernovas, as well as Korone, who could create and tank them at point blank range with no damage, which would require over 318 FOE given the size of Hololive’s sun. Gen 2’s Murasaki Shion has enough magical power to destroy the planet, and Hakui Koyori of Secret Society HoloX destroyed the sun in a timeline where Gen 0’s Hoshimachi Suisei was the president. Even other VTubers like AZKi and Ars Almal from Nijisanji can create and sustain entire dimensions with starry skies. Calli wields power surpassing all of them.
Boomstick: But that’s hardly where the feats stop! Nekomata Okayu of Hololive Gamers survived a meteor with enough power to destroy the planet, and her gemmate Shirakami Fubuki is likewise consistently stated to be able to destroy the world. Hell, Rushia caused the explosion that killed the dinosaurs and Akai Haato/Haachama has blown up Earth twice! TWICE! With the power needed to do so requiring enough energy to decimate a small star. Furthermore, Houshou Marine of Hololive Fantasy is responsible for creating the Serpens constellation, and Yuzuki Choco of Gen 2 absorbed an entire galaxy!
Wiz: Crazy to be sure, but the kinds of things these girls can do is simply absurd. For further proof, one need look no further than the second wave of Hololive’s English branch, the very Council that governs reality itself. Yep, they all decided to become VTubers within Hololive as the brand new HoloCouncil, with Space, Time, Nature, Civilisation and Chaos forming as the avatars Sana Tsukumo, Kronii Ouro, Ceres Fauna, Nanashi Mumei and Baelz Hakos. It wouldn’t be long before they got up to all sorts of crazy antics with the rest of the girls, and Calli herself making fast friends with the Council.
Boomstick: So, as an avatar like the Council girls, Calli should easily be able to scale to the kinds of feats they can perform. Like Sana creating the Big Bang, which encompassed all of reality, or Kronii reversing time across the entire infinite multiverse back to said Big Bang, and sleeping through it unharmed, despite being at the epicentre. And Sana herself is so beeg without her size limiter that a simple strike would exert a kinetic energy of over 21 PetaFOE. That’s enough to destroy multiple solar systems! Not to mention, Kronii has fought against an army of Amelia Watsons across the multiverse, disrupting the very fabric of space-time itself!
Popup: Sana has confirmed the existence of up to 11 higher dimensions, each with infinitely more mass and volume compared to its predecessor. This is supported by Omaru Polka being spatially flat when she reduced herself to the second dimension, illustrating the relationship between dimensions. Similarly, Kronii has also physically travelled to the fifth dimension and back, without any negative side effects. Additionally, the True Forms of the concepts within the Realm of the Gods lies above the multiverse, and thus these dimensions, as supported by IRyS, who descended from the Realm of the Gods.
Wiz: But perhaps even more impressive is the fact that Fubuki is capable of consuming Bae’s avatar, the strongest in Council, even if she held herself back from doing so due to their friendship, and that Haachama threatened to consume all of HoloMyth. Luckily, neither came to pass, but it furthers the fact that these girls are more than comparable to each other. Similarly, Secret Society HoloX’s Sakamata Chloe boasted of her ability to be able to take on her seniors in Hololive, and though not on Sora’s level, is comparable to others like Gen 2’s Nakiri Ayame, who fought evenly with Chloe’s gemmate, Kazama Iroha.
Boomstick: But even all this power wouldn’t mean much if she didn’t have the speed to back it up. Luckily, Calli’s got that in spades. See, while being chased by Fubuki, Ayame was able to drive her bike across the entire infinite Underworld and escape in only 40 seconds. Assuming she only travelled the length of a universe during that time, she’d be reacting at speeds of over 73.37 quadrillion times faster than light, and Mio was able to catch hold of the bike during their daring escape. But due to the size of the Underworld, crossing such a distance in finite time would require speed that is similarly infinite.
Wiz: Others like Marine can travel to the Serpens constellation, and Korone and Okayu could return from a star cluster in time for the next Holo No Graffiti episode. Assuming they were in the closest star cluster to Earth, Hyades, and that the trip back took roughly an hour, the speed required to make that return trip would be 134 thousand times faster than light. Tokoyami Towa and Himemori Luna from HoloForce could also pilot a ship flying around the galaxy at 111 billion times faster than light, and Gen 1’s Aki Rosenthal can navigate and traverse the universe at speeds confirmed to be incalculable.
Boomstick: Not to mention, Kronii can move through time at similar immeasurable speeds and even move through higher dimensional planes. Naturally, Calli can move at these kinds of speeds too, and with her teleportation, there’s no place she can’t reach. Even being in two or more places at once isn’t impossible, given that she is Death itself, and has to visit the dead and dying everywhere within the multiverse. And as an equal to those comparable to the CPU Goddesses, it stands to reason she’d be roughly on the same level as Kurome Ankokuboshi, who could move through Multi-Dimensional Space, a feat similar to Kronii moving through the fifth dimension.
Popup: Besides Calli and Death-Sensei, other Underworldians within the series include Kureji Ollie, Mano Aloe, Yuzuki Choco, Nakiri Ayame, Murasaki Shion, Tokoyami Towa, Ironmouse, and Ci and Fra, who make up the hip-hop duo BOOGEY VOXX. Several of these people have studied, or in Choco’s case, instructed, at the Underworld Academy, though it is unknown whether or not Calli has attended there.
Wiz: Moreover, while being a VTuber grants Calli access to a number of new abilities, it also grants her resistances to several things not already mentioned. The extreme heat of stars and supernovas means little to her, as plenty endure it without harm, and the absolute zero of Fubuki’s sword can’t affect her. Magic, time and spatial manipulation and reality warping all fall under the list of things that struggle to affect them, alongside existence erasure, as well as empathic and law manipulation. Even the passive corruption, mental manipulation and madness of the Void’s non-existence proves futile against them, when regular humans are undone immediately.
Boomstick: Despite all this, even Calli’s not immune to making mistakes, and has worked herself to the point of exhaustion before. She’s not an emotionless executioner, she’s got dreams and passions; she’s a person just like you and I. She’s struggled between what was expected of her, and what she wanted to be, and it’s something that everyone has trouble with, even Shinigami. But as she pushed forward and kept streaming, she would find more and more reasons to keep going, with support from her friends, family and fans. From the Grim Reaper of the Underworld to the Rapping Reaper of Hololive, she’s found her true passion.
Wiz: She’s had a rough life, but Calli’s learned that the most valuable things in life are worth working hard for. The happiness you seek often times comes with pain, but in the end, it’s still worth still seeking it out, no matter the challenges that lie before you. For the reaper without a soul, there’s no denying that she’s got more heart than anyone, and she’ll continue to keep bringing smiles and joy to her fans as opposed to misery and death, for the most part, and have the best times of her life while doing it.
Boomstick: With millions of loyal Dead Beats, and the number growing larger each day, there’s no doubt that they’re all proud to follow her in whatever she may do. She’s an inspiration, the result of perseverance through hardship, and living proof that if you follow your dreams, there’s nothing you can’t do. Even if the younger reapers she’s taught may one day take her place in the Underworld, there’s no replacing her in our hearts. So big ups to Calli! She makes all of us Dead Beats proud.
Calliope Mori: Death may be the end of everything, but that doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate life along the way.
Mechikabura Masters DEATH BATTLE! (RandoMan21)[]
(Cue Music: Future Gohan's Fate)
Wiz: It has been said by the Greek philospher, Aristotle: "That judges of important causes should hold office for life is a disputable thing, for the mind grows old as well as the body."
Boomstick: Wiz, are you... talking about a mid-life crisis?
Wiz: (Groans) Over 75 million years before Age 850, there lived many deities that ruled over the Xenoverse. Those who ruled over existence, those who balance creation and destruction, those whole governed the afterlife, and even those who watch over time. After the Supreme Kai of Time position was suddenly vacated by Aeos, a new watcher of history needed to be chosen.
Boomstick: So those in charge decided to hold a little contest to see who would be next in line. Two of the best candidates that they had on their hands were a small, pink fairy named Chronoa and a taller, Sephiroth-like smurf named Mechikabura.
Wiz: With his followers, Demigra, Gravy, and Putine being there to keep him at bay, he had a plan ready to become the new watcher of time.
Boomstick: And we all know were this all goes from here.
BACKGROUND[]
- Age: Over 75 million years old
- Gender: Male
- Nicknames: The God of Evil
- Occupation: Dark King of the Demon Realm
- Leader of the Dark Empire
- Name is insanely hard to pronounce
- Created Dogidogi
- Prefers the colors red and black
Wiz: Both rivals were chosen to protect and raise an egg hatched by Tokitoki, a divine bird that's able to create new timelines from these eggs because... why not? If one of them could manage to protect their egg without any harm, they would become the new Supreme Kai of Time.
Boomstick: But since Mechi decided to be impatient, he tried to speed up the hatching process with dark magic... But this ended up creating a distortion of problems. Probably should have waited there, dumbass.
Wiz: Even when trying to create a fake clone named Dogidogi, this plan would be for naught as he and his subordinates would be sealed away into a space beyond time itself, the Demon Realm. Many years later, however, this exiling would prove to be his blessing in disguise as he would found the Dark Empire and become its Dark King.
Boomstick: These guys were infamous for going around time and wrecking shit up, causing all sorts of distortions through the countless timelines. Branches like the Demigra Army and the Time Breakers were prime examples of this. I-it's a complicated mess.
Pop-Up Note: In Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission X, he was visited by a time-traveling Demigra and was offered to swap Chronoa's egg with his, but was thwarted by her and the Time Patrol anyways.
Wiz: But even after their plans to take hold of time itself, Chronoa was able to stop them and seal him away in the Crack of Time, never to be let out again...
(Music stops.)
Boomstick: ... He totally got out, didn't he?
Wiz: Oh, most definitely!
(Cue Music: Merciless Frieza)
Wiz: But even during his imprisonment, the Time Breakers would wreck havoc throughout the Xenoverse, and their leader, Towa, was on a mission to resurrect the Dark King and bring chaos with it.
Boomstick: And by gathering enough energy from some of the strongest villains across history, they were ready to bring back their emperor, but not before the Time Patrol had to come in and ruin everything!
Wiz: But even as they stopped these mighty villains, it was already too late. After managing to make their escape, Towa and her army were able to resurrect Mechikabura and he later reassumed the role of the Dark King.
Boomstick: But he became too old and wrinkly to even move anymore after his revival. I mean, just look at him! He would look like he's spend his time yelling at a cloud and losing his marbles over not getting his medicine!
Wiz: Well, he was sealed away in the Crack of Time for so long that he was unable to get some movement in. However, after collecting the Dark Dragon Balls, all of that changed. Towa wanted to use the Dark Dragon Balls to wish for his youth back, but he insisted on waiting for the right time, but not before giving her Demon God powers. And when they did manage to gather the Dark Dragon Balls in time, he would become a being beyond anyone's nightmares.
Boomstick: During his time in historical time-out, he managed to learn some heavy shit while he was away. Even at his age, he's still capable of possessing some massive BS.
(Cue Music: A Fierce Battle For Death)

Wiz: Like with all Dragon Ball characters, he can use ki, which is essentially one's life energy, which allows him to use flight, energy blasts, and even resist some heavy attacks.
Boomstick: He can give a Demon God boost to anyone he chooses, himself included, and can unleash massive meteors from the sky! He can fire off dark energy and manipulation powers, such as fire, ice, lightning, and even severe damage! He can even also summon other soldiers to do his dirty work for him! And they said that he's so selfish!
Pop-Up Note: Boosts like this was why he was able capable of restraining Dark Broly, who's capable of destroying planets, if not, universes, in his chains and laughing it off when he escaped.
Wiz: He can also reduce the amount of energy that his opponents have, such as decreasing their strength and defense or even restore his stamina. And thanks to his regeneration abilities, he can be able to heal his wounds and bounce back like normal.
Boomstick: He's also one hell of a nuke-throwing because his blasts are able to just have a massive destruction radius, like when he casually destroyed the Tree of Might!
Wiz: Given the proportions of the tree itself, upon a better view seen in the namesake movie, it's likely that the Tree of Might can equal to being around 550,000 feet tall, reaching outer space. So by calculating the energy it took to destroy this tree and measuring the length of the tree itself, Mechikabura had to fire a blast worth around 10 zettatons of TNT!
Pop-Up Note: In DBZ: Tree of Might, Goku used the Spirit Bomb to destroy the tree and take Turles with it. So by comparison, Mechikabura was capable of holding that feat at the very minimum.
Boomstick: How does he do all of this, you may ask? Well, it's all thanks to that staff of his. This bad boy helped him in the long run and was even able to create dark energy and cast whatever he wants!
Wiz: This staff has even let him travel through multiple timelines and dimensions, which basically acts as its own source of power. He also has the distinction of wearing the Potata Earrings, which grants anyone above a Kai status immeasurable power.
Boomstick: Oh, and we almost forgot! He can also manipulate time itself! He can slow down or even freeze everything around him and just go ham on everyone!
Wiz: And thanks to his eternal youth, he become immune from natural death and refrain from being affected by time, making him even greater than the sum of his parts.
(Cue Music: Final Battle)
Boomstick: He can even brainwash you and steal your body for himself!
Wiz: Well, in a way. By brainwashing those that he possesses, he can transform them into a darker being capable to shattering their hidden power. This is how he managed to Brainwash a version of Dende into bringing forth Dark Shenron. Hell, it's what she did to Chronoa as well! After the Time Patrol were able to regroup and take down the Dark Empire, Chronoa was able to unleash a transformation that harness from the power of time itself, the Time Power Unleashed form. And by sealing him and herself in the Time Labrynth, as well as taking down the entire Demon Realm.
Boomstick: But it would prove to be worthless in the end because Mechi-boy managed to survive anyways! And by making Chronoa into his puppet and giving her the Power of Darkness, he gained even more abilities and escaped from this prison through a dark portal and began to fuck shit up even more! Man, I'm really seeing a pattern here.
TRANSFORMATIONS[]
- Demon God
- Dark King
- Time Power Unleashed
- Dark Factor
- Ghost form
- Possession State
Wiz: Thanks to her, Mechikabura's abilities increased, granting him the powers of time. With his Dark King form, he was able to trade blows with Xeno-Goku, who's mere energy could rupture time and space itself.
Boomstick: He was able to bring forth more of that Demon God prowess to his closest associates, Salsa and Shroom, who turned out to be... sheesh, yeah, they're ugly as fuck.
Wiz: Super Saiyan God Xeno Trunks even failed to get a hit on this guy with the Key Sword, a weapon that shuts down negative energy and even nullify a person's power. And by taking control of the infinite timelines themselves, he was able to achieve his own version of the Time Power Unleashed form.
Boomstick: With this form, he no longer needed people like Demigra and others by his side, since he was pretty much immortal. His regeneration became even faster, his durability grew tougher, and his color scheme even went from red to black! METAL! And it's all thanks to one small black hole!
Wiz: This is the Chaos Ball, not to be confused by an attack of the same name used by Frost. Essentially, it's a black hole that was gathered tens of millions of years ago and was capable of consuming every timeline known in existence. A normal black hole contains about 1 full FOE of force, so by taking its size and combining it with the infinite timelines that he was absorbing, we could determine that the Chaos Ball had to have been pulling with a weight of at least 20 tenaFOE of force!
Pop-Up Note: Since the Key Sword was able to one-shot him in his Time Power Unleashed state, that means that the highest amount of energy that Mechikabura would have been carrying with the Chaos Ball would actually be... well, infinite.
Boomstick: Wiz, we've met a lot of anime-bullshit competitors on this show, but I'm starting to believe that this guy just takes the cake.
Wiz: However, thanks to Chronoa, who was able to break free of her brainwashed state, she was able to unlock the Full Charge version of the Key Sword, lock the Dark King in the Eternal Time Labyrinth, and give Xeno Trunks enough power needed to finally vanquish the Dark King once and for all. As the Time Patrol and the now-betrayed Demigra Army and Dark Empire threw all they had at the immortal king, Trunks managed to seal the deal with the Key Sword.
Boomstick: And send him into the Labyrinth of Light so that he shall never return again... Or did he?!
(Cue Music: Final Boss (Xenoverse 2))
Wiz: Turns out that someone else had plans to use his power for a much higher purpose! By channeling the powers of this energy sphere called the Dark Factor, he was able to be resurrected yet again and manifest his dark energy to Fu, who was using this factor to power his Universe Tree and create a new universe where he would becoming king.
Boomstick: So much so that he became a ghoOoOoOOooOoOOOOost!
Wiz: It's more like a literal spiritual connection to the Dark Factor, but... Actually, yeah, a ghost.
Boomstick: Fu was strong enough to hold back both Limit Breaker Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Gogeta and Super Saiyan Blue Evolution Gogeta, and counting these two versions apart is already a nightmare enough for the research team!
Wiz: And by comparison, Fu even managed to let him temporarily take control of his entire being and even fight back against both versions of a powered-up Goku. One of those Gokus, the one from the Dragon Ball Super timeline, was able to match blow-to-blow punches from Beerus, and the shockwaves from their exchange was able to shake the entirety of Universe 7 to its core. This universe is 13x times bigger than our own, so it's likely that the speed of these shockwaves were going at 240 quadrillion times the speed of light.
Boomstick: Talk about being a manipulative prick! This guy just refuses to let anyone breathe!
Wiz: And when Fu was done with Mechikabura, he wasn't even able to die! The Dark Factor was still able to be intact and let him continue to live through a spiritual plane of existence.
Boomstick: (Quickly opens up a beer) Yep. I think this anime bullshit calls for a beer.
FEATS[]
- Destroyed the Tree of Might
- Possessed Chronoa's mind
- Held the infinite timelines into his being
- Gained immortality
- Continued to pursue his reign, even after his demise
- Kept up with Super Saiyan God Xeno Trunks and Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Vegito
- Defeated Chronoa, Towa, Mira, Turles, and the Time Patrol
Wiz: Thanks to his immortality, he was able to accomplish a lot of stuff while ruling the Demon Realm. He was able to keep up with Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Vegito, complete the process of immortality, and even watched over other Time Patrollers during the Super Space-Time Tournament after Fu's defeat. Thanks to his sheer willpower, he has been a force to be reckoned with in the Dragon Ball series.
Boomstick: And even if he was slain by the power of Trunks's damon ex-machina Key Sword, he still found a way to find his way into being one hell a threat! Serious, this man cannot die!
Wiz: Sort of. While his physical body can endure much of his pain only for him to regenerate, it isn't really infinite in connection to himself. Sure, his energy may as well last a whole omniversal lifetime, but it can still be destroyed as well as his ghost state.
Boomstick: So leave it up to Demigra to outright kill his soul and pretty much turn him into dust so that he can take that energy for himself... Dumbass.
Wiz: But even with his presence gone and his plots vanquished, Mechikabura has shown to have taken even the most ruthless of attacks head-on and still keep fighting. He was even fast enough to traverse countless timelines and show everyone who's boss.
Boomstick: So make peace with whatever god you pray to and hope that this guy doesn't come around your time alley! Mechikabura is one tough demon bastard and he will make you know that!
Mechikabura: The only thing that matters to me is power. In order to take everything into my possession, I need POWER!!!
Closing Statements[]
(Cue Music: Wiz and Boomstick)
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities!
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!!!
DEATH BATTLE! (RandoMan21)[]
(Cue Music: Humiliating Defeat)
Deep in the hellish landscape of the Demon Realm, countless of its dedicated soldiers would be seen lined up in orderly fashion within the top of their ruler's tower. They would wait for their ruler, the Dark King, to make his way up the upper platform.
This Dark King, the Demon God Mechikabura, would make his way up, having managed to gain his wish of eternal youth from the Dark Dragon Balls. He would see every soldier right in front of him and grinned at his own pride.
Mechikabura: My fellow demon brethren!
The soldiers would raise their fists and cheered in pride for their powerful leader.
Mechikabura: The energy we have collected has become enough for us to let our reign be known throughout the infinite history itself! Now, we shall rise and claim what is rightfully ours! FOR OUR RIGHT OF PASSAGE! I'LL RULE EVERYTHING AS THE TRUE SUPREME KAI OF TIME!
The soldiers were pretty much yes-men when it came to a speech like Mechikabura's as they became motivated to cause havoc across the multiverse.
However, that's when things come to a screeching halt when a massive blast from above wiped out the troops one-by-one. Several more would follow suit, and the loud screams of agony would echo throughout. This would catch Mechikabura by surprise as his men were being eviscerated by an unknown attacker.
Mechikabura: What?! What is this?!
The smoke would clear away as someone in a black-clad shinigami outfit would descend into the sea of demon corpses. This being was a woman with long pink hair and was carrying a confident smile on her face while holding a glass of sake. The apprentice to the Grim Reaper herself, Calliope Mori, would take a sip of her drink and stared daggers into the ruler of the Demon Realm with just one word coming out of her mouth.
Calli: S'up.
Mechikabura: You foul bastard. Who are you and what business do you have trespassing into my realm?!
Calli would throw away her now-empty glass away and walked towards the demon god as if she was asking for a death wish.
Calli: Well, I was just in the area and noticed how you guys were doing some mean stuff and I thought of stopping it after noticing how dark your soul was. Kind of like mine, but, you know, evil!
Mechikabura: And yet, you see that with a cheerful manner?
Calli: Got a problem with it, bro?
Calli would make her way to the platform and walked several feet away from Mechikabura. Looks like he just got provoked, and more easily than ever.
He would not let his eyes rest away from the Shinigami and let a dark purple aura surround him as he transformed into his Dark King state. His new appearance would not take away the fact that he was about to show who this woman was trying to provoke.
(Cue Music: Undefeatable)
Mechikabura: You laid waste to my army... Now, you face the future god of time!
Calli: Future god, eh? With that tone, I'd say you're about to catch the ass-whooping of a lifetime!
Calli would summon her scythe and prepared her stance to defend herself against the Demon God. If this is gonna lead to a massive fight, then so be it. She wouldn't mind taking another soul into the afterlife. If it's possible for someone like him, that is.
F I G H T !
Mechikabura would lunge forward with a massive right hook towards the face of the Shinigami, but she would not have any sort of effect whatsoever. He would go for another punch, but this still not had any effect on her.
Mechikabura: What the hell?!
He would go for a rapid amount of them, but Calli was just tanking them with every multiple of them hitting left and right. Turns out that Calli was using a massive shield around herself to block Mechi's punches. She would then yawn at his poor attempts of harming her and grabbed both of his fists with her scythe.
She would then slash him down with a massive swing, which caused the Dark King to back away from her with a massive gash of energy forming from his chest. Surprised by this, he would quickly grip his fists and regenerate his wound. His skin would return to normal, as if the slash hadn't done anything to him at all.
Calli: Strange. Usually, people immediately die when they g-
Mechikabura would use this opportunity to actually land a blow onto Calli's chest. He would soon follow it up with several lefts and rights upon her upper body. One by one, she was starting to push her onto the edge of the platform that they were on. He would then follow it up with a kick, but she would immediately block it with her wrists.
She would then grab his leg and twist him down to the floor. She would go for some punches of her own, which forced Mechikabura to defend himself with blocks. Each punch felt more impactful than the last, with these punches making the ground below them crack under the immense pressure.
She would then stomp her foot to aim at Mechi's face, but he would teleport out of the way to avoid this. But the stomp was able to break the entire platform, as well as the rest of Mechikabura's tower, into literal pieces. The impending explosion caused everything to implode and fall into the depths below.
Mori Calliope would be surprised to see how strong her foot was to even destroy the entire castle. Meanwhile, Mechikabura would teleport across the Shinigami with an angry tone.
Mechikabura: NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE! YOU'VE DESTROYED MY TOWER, YOU BASTARD!
Calli: Whoops. Guess I don't know my own strength sometimes! Ehehehe!
Calli would chuckle off her feat of strength, which caused Mechi to become more riled up in anger than before.
Mechikabura: I'LL KILL YOU WHERE YOU STAND!!
(Cue Music: Kid Buu's Insanity)
He would zoom towards Calli as he fired off a bunch of ki blasts at her, but she would retort them with Phoenix Fire to shoot out a burst of flames to eat up the ensuing ki blasts.
Calli would then rush forward and try to get a flying kick in, which managed to work. She would then follow it up with several punches and kicks to combo off of as she would get the Dark King to spill first blood from his mouth. Each hit would make him more mad and mad until she suddenly gave him a knee to the jaw.
Mechi would then let out a massive Explosion Wave to wipe Calli off of her feet and away from him a couple of feet. This wave would also spawn more ki blasts, which prompted her to dodge every single one of them at a fast rate.
The Dark King would take this time to zoom right through the fire and land a lucky punch onto Calli's face. As she was getting her face punched, she qould quickly look unfazed by it.
Calli: Struck a nerve?
She would soon elbow his gut and kick him downwards. She would then swap out her scythe with the Psycho Axe and they would soon find themselves clashing with their weapons. Every swing would cause multiple shockwaves as the clouds spread apart from their grueling fight.
Mechikabura would soon try to use his staff to fire off a Full Power Energy Ball towards her, but Calli responded by throwing a massive Holo Bomb. Both of these attacks would explode upon one another and leave a pile of smoke in its wake.
They would soon get back to swinging at each other and have each other backed into a corner. Mechi would then try to kick her in the gut, but she would teleport and form a chunk of ice in her hand. She would then use her cold fist to punch Mechikabura in the face and send him downwards to another part of the realm.
He would skid among the rocky plains, but he would try to bounce back by jumping upwards and firing a Full Power Energy Wave at the woman. This caught her by surprise as she didn't expect him to fire him from a long distance. She would use her Work-a-holic skill to summon a powerful aura and block the blast from going through her.
The more it lasted, the more harder it was for the pink-haired fighter to move. She was a standstill to try and escape this blast. That's when she had an idea come to her mind.
By channeling her dark aura, she would begin to create shockwaves throughout the entire Demon Realm and channeled much more dark energy into her being.'
Calli: Gut feeling... don't fail me now! HYAAAH!!
She would then grab the tip of the blast and flew towards Mechikabura, pushing the energy wave as she held a sphere of lightning in her hands. As she got closer to the Dark King, she would aim the lighting towards his face.
He would notice this within seconds and held his free hand to try and match it up to her attack. The end result was the attacks meeting up with each other and having the entire screen glow a full-on white.
Everything would be completely blank for a few seconds as the Shinigami managed to wake up a few seconds later to see that she was suddenly in a flat meteor flying inside a black and blue vortex. She had no idea where she was at the moment. Getting up, she would try to locate her opponent by sensing any sort of energy. As she was doing this...
Mechikabura: FOOLISH RUNT!
(Cue Music: Wild Soul)
Mechikabura would soon reappear to kick her square in the face. This time, however, he had a dark purple aura surrounding his entire body and his appearance would be slightly different. He had transformed into his Time Power Unleashed form and would send Mori across the giant meteor.
Calli would slowly get back up and wipe off the dust that had fallen upon her. She was starting to feel some of the effects that Mechi was dishing out on her, so she would have a red aura surround her as well. But instead of a power-up, she would replenish her health and heal her wounds that had started to infect her body.
The Dark King wouldn't waste any time, though. He would form portals from thin air and multiple Demon Realm soldiers would jump out from it.
Mechikabura: SOLDIERS! ATTACK!
The Shinigami would start to notice this as she would hold her hands out in front of her and several spirits would appear around her. Her fellow Dead Beats.
Calli: Alright, Dead Beats! Show them what you got!
The Dead Beats would zoom towards the soldiers and they would both ensue in a... let's say, one-sided battle of their own.
Each time that the soldiers would try and even hit these spirits, they would all phase through them and melted their skins off. Every single soldier would feel the intense burning of these Dead Beats as they would become skeletons.
(Cue Music: Sunset Heights)
Meanwhile, the Dark King and the Shinigami would stare each other down before they would let out a speed streak of their own towards each other and clashed their fists to cause a massive explosion.
As the Dead Beats were taking care of the Demon Realm soldiers, Calli and Mechikabura would lock in a classic Dragon Ball-esque fisticuffs battle; they would let out massive punches and kicks towards each other rapidly. Each attack would be hit or blocked, but their speeds would be impossible to see within the human eye. All of their strikes would speed up and felt throughout the vortex to the point where everything was rumbling from it.
Mori would let out 2 massive punches before unleashing her Glowstick and use it as a sort of lightsaber. She would then swing it against Meckibaura and managed to get some strikes in. Blood would spew from these swings, but as another would come after him, he would grab her arm and headbutted her in the face.
He would then use the claws on his hands to slash at Calliope's face, causing her to get critical scratch marks to bleed heavily. She wasn't giving up, however, as they would continue their back-&-forth exchange. That was when the vortex started to shatter like broken glass. It wouldn't handle this fight anymore.
As Calli would swing her Glowstick to get a burn on his hands, she suddenly felt something flowing within him. As she detected his life force, she found that there was some sort of infinite source of power flowing within his chest. It was the Chaos Ball, an ability of unlimited power. If that's what's driving him this insanely strong, then...
Calli: That's a shit ton of energy he's using up... I have to end this fast and burn that bridge down!
Mechikabura: You're strong, curious one! I'll give you that much! But I've had enough of these games!
The Demon Realm ruler would trade knees with his female adversary and flew into the sky. By raising one hand into the air, he would summon a massive meteor from thin air and immediately threw it down to the Shinigami.
(Cue Music: Make 'Em Afraid)
Mechikabura: PERISH, WHOEVER YOU ARE! FACE MY ETERNAL WRATH!!
Calli would then fly away from him and held her arms into the air to summon some sort of crossbow. The arrows, on the other hand, seem to have a red flame on their edges.
Calli: Oh, I never told you who I was! Long story short, I'm a Shinigami who's supposed to take souls AFTER they're deceased, but with you, my living friend... I'll make an exception.
Arching up, she would shoot the arrows towards the meteors, but the flames that were on the edges sparked up and went in. 3 small stars of light would be seen in the distance of the meteor and seconds later, it would immediately blow up into smithereens. The pending debris would cause the vortex to break even more and cause reality to cave in.
The demon would look around to see what was going, but that's when he heard something.
Calli: I'M ON A ROLL, BITCH!
From the light of the explosion, Calli would have a sword with massive light energy at hand and would head for the final kill as she thrusted the sword into the heart of Mechikabura. He would spit out blood as the power of the Chaos Ball would start to leave his body.
Mechikabura: Y-you... bastard... GAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!
He would let out a scream in agony as a bright light consume his entire body and separating him from his infinite source of power. Calli managed to feel this as well as the light would push her away from what was being shined on her.
All the while, reality would have its pieces break off and fall into the infinite depths of space. With this, the Demon Realm soldiers fell victim to its massive wrath as they were severed into pieces, leaving only the Dead Beats to vanish without a scratch. As several shattered pieces of reality fell downwards from the destroyed vortex, Calli would look down to see that she was still in perfect condition.
Calli: Phew! That was a close one!
But just then, a hand would lunge out and pierce through her back and painfully impale her through the chest, spilling massive amounts of blood. It was Mechikabura, who's now become a purple-colored spirit and forced back to his Dark King state. Behind him was his most favorite item of his kit, the dark sphere of infinite energy known as the Dark Factor.
Mechikabura: I told you that I'd kill you where you stand...
The Dark Factor would suddenly grow more powerful as it was fueling the ghost body of Mechikabura. He would soon have multiple energy balls form from his hovering staff and trapped her in a spherical case as he prepared to kill Calli once and for all.
Mechikabura: You will know my power, you pink-clad oaf...
He would fire off his Darkness Execution and let an entire explosion of ki burst through out thousands of miles, nearly blinding the screen.
Calli: GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
Calli's scream would be agonized throughout the infinite cosmos around them as Mechikabura would destroy her entire body and watch as she would turn into nothingness.
That's when she would soon consume the energy of her power and have a yellow glow around him. His spirit form would soon turn non-transparent as he would revive himself and have his entire physical body back to normal. He could only feel one thing right now: pure ecstacy.
Mechikabura: Hehehahaha... HAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Mechikabura's maniacal laughter could be heard throughout the cosmos. His power was overflowing with power beyond what he assumed as infinite. He has become death itself and has killed off what had suddenly become a bug to him.
He has become unstoppable. Now he has enough power to become the ruler of time and the omnipotent king of reality itself...
That was until he felt a sudden and vibrating burst of exhaustion throughout his entire body. Everything just hit him like a million Key Swords to the face. He would suddenly transform back to his base state and his eyes would go blank. What was going on? Did something happen?
Mechikabura: Ah.... Ack...
The Dark King would fall down backwards and as soon as he did, it seems like Calliope Mori was able to pop out of his physical body, proving that she was alive all along as she stared down the now-unconscious king. It seems that she was able to use her illusion magic at the last possible second to bounce back into this match.
Calli: Ha! You thought I was dead! I've had my fair shares of things like before, but... Hey!
She would soon summon a kunai in her hand and wrapped the handle with chains covered with dark magic. She would then throw it towards the Demon God's limp body,
Calli: GET OVER HERE!!
The kunai would split right through Mechikabura's throat and the tip would hold his esophagus. She would then yank her weapon back and launch his body towards the Shinigami. She would then teleport several feet away from him and the Dark Factor and and summon her Scythe one final time.
Closing her eyes, she would zoom at an alarming speed and smirked as reality continued to fall apart in the background.
Calli: DIE!!
A massive pink streak of light would slice past both the Dark Factor and the Dark King himself with a loud slash being heard. A second later, both of these would split in half, with Mechi having both his dark energy and his blood spilling like it was Niagara Falls. Nothing audible would come out of the Dark King's mouth as he would then burst into a massive explosion that would evaporate the entire space around everything. Calli would open eyes to see everything crumbling around her.
Calli: Whoops! Gotta go!
Calli would summon a portal and quickly jumped into it to escape the impending blast. Everything would be consumed and nothing would be left to be picked up. The Dark Factor was destroyed and the Demon King was vanquished and burned into the sands of reality...
Calli would soon teleport into somewhere more safer. Somewhere... serene. The second she appeared, she noticed that she was in a somewhat-urban environment. This is Conton City, a place where Time Patrollers of all races, genders, and species would take their stroll when all of a sudden, she would arrive and everyone laid eyes on her.
She had just killed an immortal god, and now she's in this scenario? The only thing they could say is...
Random Patroller: OH MY GOD, IS THAT CALLIOPE MORI?!
People would cheer on as they suddenly recognized who she was. People were screaming for their praise for her, autographs, and even photos. The scene would end with Calli looking at the camera and shrugging with a nervous smile.
Well, at least she can do some fun stuff to kill some time. A concert could suffice, she thought.
K O !
(Ending A: Calli would soon be found performing at a concert at the Business District of Conton City, with the citizens cheering her on and waving their pink and white glow sticks to the songs' rhythms. Even Takanashi Kiara was on stage singing with her.)
(Ending B: A wide shot of Fu, the Bio-Android Demon, could be seen over the debris of what was left of the destroyed tower. He would pout to see that his main base of research was blown up, but he would make a portal and leave to work on his own stuff.)

Wiz: This was an extremely interesting battle to examine. Both were extremely skilled, and possessed abilities shared by their opponent, like flight, power over darkness and time, manipulation of the basic elements like fire, ice and lightning, as well as being able to possess others. But at the end of the day, Mechikabura simply didn’t have enough to put the Rapping Reaper of Hololive down for good.
Boomstick: In terms of raw power, both could easily decimate universes, and even held the might to annihilate the very infinite multiverse itself, but only Calli could affect the dimensions higher than her own, granting a kind of power Mechikabura just couldn’t match. And though Mechikabura’s black hole could suck up all of time, this wasn’t an instant process, and Calli is completely unaffected by time whatsoever, so even if he could pull it off during the fight, it wouldn’t have much impact.
Wiz: And when it comes to speed, both have plenty of feats in the millions to quadrillions of times faster than light range, but at the end of the day, their speed is beyond the level of calculation; beyond even time! Mechikabura should be equal to his time-sucking black hole, which would be consuming time at an immeasurable pace, and Demigra could move in tandem with it, but Aki Rosenthal’s incalculable space travel and Kronii moving through time itself balance this out.
Popup: Possession is an ability both Calli and Mechikabura have, but Calli has far more experience with the technique, and would be able to resist attempts at invading her body. Even if Mechikabura were to succeed, she could simply erase her current body and form a new one. Similarly, attempts at brainwashing or mental manipulation would not work, as Calli is immune to the far superior mental and physical effects of the Void.
Boomstick: So it sounds pretty even at first glance, but you have to remember that Calli can clone herself an indefinite number of times, change her size to be as big or small as she wants, and has instantaneous teleportation. Their speed might be similar, but she’s got far more ways around that which can trip Mechikabura up. Her illusions, invisibility, reality warping and ability to manipulate fate itself meant that she could always get the drop on him, or force him into an untimely death, which he has no way to counter.
Wiz: Mechikabura may be more skilled as a martial artist, but Calli’s been around since before time itself, and has been under Death-Sensei’s tutelage for an eternity. 75 million years falls a bit flat in the face of… well, all of the years. Her access to numerous weapons alongside her scythe also ensured that Mechikabura couldn’t disarm her, and even if he did, Calli can simply bring them back to her, or generate them back into existence if destroyed. HoloCure even shows that she can merge together weapons to create entirely new ones, which is a level of versatility Mechikabura can’t quite boast.
Boomstick: Mechikabura’s regeneration is impressive to be sure, but it does have limits. He can’t regenerate his body if it’s completely destroyed, whereas Calli can. She’s had a scythe run through her body and was completely fine, and can instantly regenerate any damage dealt to her. Even when destroyed without a trace of her left, or even erased from existence entirely, she pops back immediately, meaning that not only would Mechikabura be hard pressed to deal lasting damage in the first place, there was nothing he could really do to put her down for good.
Popup: Mechikabura could possibly use his portals to summon his Demon Realm soldiers, but Calli’s method of summoning the Dead Beats is more direct and efficient. The Dead Beats also outnumber Mechikabura’s soldiers, and have had experience in taking on opponents that outnumber them by a large amount. Paired with Calli’s duplication, she will always have a numbers advantage.
Wiz: On the other hand, Calli had plenty of ways to put a permanent end to the Dark King. She could directly inflict him with death, drain his life away, steal or destroy his soul, erase him and his soul from existence simultaneously, or even alter the very plot itself to be in her favour. Need be, she could also banish him to the Underworld and let Death-Sensei deal with him, or draw him into her personal realm, which she has complete and utter command over. Demigra showed that he’s vulnerable to attacks on the soul, and that’s Calli’s entire deal, so there’s no doubt she’d be able to take him out sooner or later.
Boomstick: Mechikabura’s connection to the Dark Factor allowed for his resurrection, but as a ghost. Interacting with spiritual entities and souls is easy peasy for Calli, even ones on different spiritual planes. So even if Mechikabura could be revived, she’d still be able to get him. And though his long list of moves may offer a greater area of effect, Calli can counter this with her teleportation, duplication, or intangibility. Plus, she doesn’t need to be close to her victim to inflict them with death, so she could bring a swift end to the battle even from a distance.
Wiz: Dragon Ball has also illustrated that immortality is very different from invulnerability. Mechikabura may have an indefinite lifespan, at least, after absorbing all of time, but he was killed by Trunks wielding the Key Sword, sealing his power and destroying his body. Conversely, Calli possesses a far more unique form of immortality, being the very concept of Death given form. As Mechikabura has no way to reach, nor harm her concept within the Realm of the Gods, he could not definitively put Calli down for good.
Popup: While it’s possible that Mechikabura may be able to escape the Underworld if banished, this would take considerable time. Additionally, he would be immediately targeted by Death-Sensei and the other Shinigami within the Underworld, as well as Calli, should she follow him there. He would not be able to survive long enough to escape.
Boomstick: Both can manipulate time to their will, and are mostly unaffected by it, but to differing degrees. Neither slowing nor stopping time would work on either of them, and while Mechikabura can travel across different timelines, Calli could do the same, and directly travel to the past and future, which is something Mechikabura doesn’t possess, nor does he have a way to negate. She could pull herself from other points in time to attack with her, or use it to learn of his abilities and attack him earlier in the fight. Both are insanely smart, but only Calli has the means to understand her opponent fully and use it against him.
Wiz: To Mechikabura’s credit, he’s an absurdly powerful foe, and against pretty much anybody else, his overwhelming might and abilities would be nigh insurmountable. But against the sheer craziness that is Hololive and everything within, he simply falls short. The insane regenerative abilities and control over time Calli possesses, along with the assured safety of the concept of Death in the Realm of the Gods means that Mechikabura just has no way to take her out for good, locking him into a battle he can’t win.
Boomstick: With her absurd power, blistering speed, and complete control over death, souls, and even fate itself, there’s no doubt that Calli had more than enough to UnAlive the Dark King and leave him Dead On Arrival, ensuring he’ll never Live Again. She took home the HUGE W and left him seeing Red this Cursed Night as Mechikabura just ran out of time, leaving Calli as the soul victor.
Wiz: The winner is Calliope Mori.
Trivia[]
- The connections between Calliope Mori and Mechikabura are that they're both rulers of a dark realm (the Underworld and the Demon Realm) and are associated with bigger groups (HoloMyth and the Dark Empire). They also have high statuses within said realms (Calli being the apprentice of the Grim Reaper and Mechikabura being the Dark King of the Demon Realm) and are able to transform into stronger beings (the True Form and the Time Power Unleashed form).
- The soundtrack for this fight would be called "Dark Death". This is meant to symbolize Mechikabura being the Dark King and Calli being the concept of death. The cover of the soundtrack would be the Dark Factor being penetrated by Calli's scythe. The song itself would be an ambient rock/rap song sung by a female singer.
- This fight would be animated in anime-drawn 2D animation or in 2D sprite animation.
