Interlude[]
Wiz: Whether for hunting big game or fighting a dangerous war, it’s always best to have a long-range weapon at your side to keep yourself safe to take out your target from farther distances.
Boomstick: But the biggest question of all is, which weapon is a better: the firearm or the bow and arrow.
Wiz: To answer this question, we are pitting who of the most iconic modern day sharpshooters to who has the better shot compared to the other.
Boomstick: Move aside Green Arrow and Deadshot, it’s time for the ladies to answer the call to action.
Wiz: Kate Bishop, Marvel archer protégé and next generation Hawkeye
Boomstick: And Caitlyn Kiramman, League of Legends sheriff of Piltover. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it is our job to analyze their armor, weapons, and skill to find who would win, a Death Battle.
Kate Bishop takes aim and fire at Death Battle[]
Wiz: Clink Barton, better known throughout Marvel History as the one and only purple-clad trick shooter Hawkeye, who is a prime example of how an ordinary man can become a hero with just a bow and arrow.
Boomstick: But believe it or not, Old clint has not always held the mantle of Hawkeye in Marvel History. Eventually he passed it down to his protégé, a rich girl turned private eye Kate Bishop.
Wiz: Kate Bishop was born to Derek and Eleanor Bishop, owners of a wealthy security company in New York City. From an early age, she participated in various sports and won numerous trophies, displaying her athletic prowess. Though she was seemingly loved by both her parents, Kate had a closer relationship with her father than she did with her mother.
Boomstick: Yeah, her mom was too busy trying to keep the families busy afloat, through some questionable methods, typical Disney neglectful step-mom stuff, since they technically own Marvel. But luckily for Kate, her dad was always there to pick her up when she needed it most. What I wouldn’t give to have a dad like that.
https://youtu.be/Et1HxmIw31Y?si=Ulhx9qFRcp1SiMmW
Wiz: However, that all changed while playing in her lavish penthouse, the entire city became the victim of an alien invasion. This happens a lot more often in Marvel than you may think. While hiding in her room, Kate could only cower in fear as the aliens laid waste to the city, until the arrival of the worlds mightiest heroes, The Avengers.
Boomstick: Why is New York always the target for alien attacks, why do they love and hate it so much. Anyway, when Kate was being attacked by one of the aliens, she was saved by Hawkeye, a normal human who was using his bow and arrow to kick some alien butt. After being saved by him, she became inspired to be as great as he was, considering him to be her favorite superhero. Personally my favorite is the Punisher, because he’s got guns.
Wiz: Of Course he would be your favorite. Unfortunately, one of the many fatalities from this invasion was Kate’s father, typical superhero tragedy everyone, get used to it. During her father's funeral, Kate, having been touched by her favorite hero act of heroism, promised herself that she would no longer be a helpless individual relying on others to save her and that she would protect their family herself. Despite her mother’s concerns and rejections about her daughter's decisions, Kate kick-started her journey to becoming a hero by taking up archery just like her idol.
Boomstick: Throughout her middle and high school years, she pushed herself through high amounts of martial arts training, gaining many medals in several competitions. During this time, she bought posters of Clint Barton and hung them up all over her bedroom, like a crazy obsessed fangirl.
https://youtu.be/vb4FMDk5ovM?si=drwUj6BDrYDi1_ju
Wiz: From Basketball, to Fencing, to Karate and beyond, Kate continued to push her body to its alethic core, and keep on going. She eventually graduated high school and began attending college with a sports scholarship to get away from her mom, whom she had developed an estranged relationship with after she re-married some wealthy rich guy to save her family’s company.
Boomstick: It was during her time in college that Kate began to become more rebellious and start getting herself into trouble. Kind of reminds me of my college days: getting drunk, going to parties, skipping class. Those were the good old days.
Wiz: But while visiting her mom during the holidays and meeting her fiancé’s family, Kate found herself being targeted by the criminal group known as the Tracksuit Mafia, due to temporarily dawning an expensive costume while investigating a shady underground auction during a family gathering.
Boomstick: What was that they said about curiosity and the cat. While running for her life, she came across a stray golden retriever with a missing eye, and came face to face with Clint Barton himself, who was in town for the holidays with his family trying to get away from the superhero life for once.
https://youtu.be/Itn6NSKoD0s?si=wPCCrmebhIA6G7Nk
Wiz: But the life of a hero is never truly over, after saving Kate from the Mafia and discovering the costume was actually the old samurai Ronin suit he once wore during the darker years of his life, Clint reluctantly agreed to help Kate in her current predicament.
Boomstick: Kicking off the greatest Christmas adventure since Home Alone. Filled to brim with high speed chases, street brawls, and comforting backstories.
Wiz: Although Kate was thrilled to see her idol in the flesh, she was a little surprised that Hawkeye wasn’t in his prime state. He was still recovering from the loss of his best friend Black Widow and was starting to lose his hearing after an accident during one of his Avengers missions. Regardless, he partnered up with Kate and her new furry friend in their investigation into the Tracksuit Mafia, at which point Kate was certain her mom’s fiancé Jack Duquesne was in cahoots with the Tracksuits.
Boomstick: But surprise surprise, it was really her mother who was secretly in league with the infamous crime lord, The Kingpin, to ensure that their company wouldn’t fall into financial ruin. Why is it always the last person you suspect to be the real criminal in the end in these situations.
Wiz: Now determined more than ever, Kate and Clint worked together to take down the Tracksuits, defeat Kingpin and sadly send her mother to jail for her crimes. After the pair succeeded, Clint rewarded her with the mantle of Hawkeye, which the two would share until he could finally do what all heroes only dream of: retiring to be with their families.
https://youtu.be/85Rkn0DVnE8?si=BIsoWIDZJcG0kAt8
Boomstick: Yeah, good luck with that one Clint, there is just no stopping a goody two shoes from saving the world when people need you. Eventually, Kate would join the Young Avengers alongside Ms. Marvel, America Chavez, and Cassie Lang; and in her spare time be a Private Investigator along with her trusty canine companion, Lucky the Pizza Dog.
Wiz: Kate is an extremely skilled marksman, especially with a bow and arrow, and has been praised by Hawkeye as being one of the world's greatest archers, besides himself of course.
Boomstick: Yeah no one out-archers the Clint Barton. But still, she’s capable of hitting a bell's rope from a considerable distance with a tennis ball, and was able to hit all her targets, including accurately taking out two traffic lights while sitting out of the window of a moving car, using Hawkeye's left-handed bow despite being right-handed. Darn lefties, they are a constant thorn in my backside.
https://youtu.be/GaQ9q3CatQY?si=qMrGPK2VagYwqxG9
https://youtu.be/JH4NFJAsZYE?si=t1KEurZGUFxKukF6
Wiz: After taking her under her wing, Hawkeye gave Kate a new S.H.I.E.L.D designed Bow and a wide assortment of multi-use trick arrows to help her fight crime for every situation, and I do mean every situation.
Boomstick: She got tear gas arrows, grappling hook arrows, flash bang arrows, explosive arrows ranging from small blasts to an atomic warhead, putty arrows to cover foes in glue, acid arrows can melt through steel, and adamantium arrows are tipped in nearly indestructible metal. And don’t get me started on the Pym Arrows.
Wiz: Personally designed by Ant-Man himself, these Pym Particle Arrows can either shrink or enlarge objects via shifting matter between dimensions.
Boomstick: I could use some of those arrows myself to save money on just buying one can of beer and making it so big it can last a lifetime.
Wiz: Kate is also a highly skilled and formidable hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, having trained in martial arts ever since she was five and earned her black belt when she was fifteen, as well as participating in and winning lots of martial arts competitions.
https://youtu.be/LF6l6Zs1mVs?si=qzrvTTu8DhSBHGRE
Boomstick: I’m telling you Wiz, it’s only a matter of time before the Women take over the world and become Amazon warriors.
Wiz: When have you ever thought that was a bad idea? You’ve got posters of a naked Wonder Woman all over your room.
Boomstick: Oh yeah right, never mind. Wait…how do you know what’s in my room?
Wiz: Uh moving on. She has shown training in martial arts such as Karate, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Fencing, and Aikido. She was able to hold her own against a group of killer androids and several members of the Tracksuit Mafia at once, even though they were all armed.
Boomstick: She was even able to keep pace with Yelena Belova, an extremely skilled and experienced Black Widow who defeated the likes of both the OG Hawkeye and Black Widow. Sure she could have killed Kate with just a swing of her hands, but took a liking to her and decided to go easy on her. Seriously, since when do super spies go easy on anyone.
https://youtu.be/0qtwPcXCzPo?si=ZPnIeRBhYJN1Rip8
Wiz: She’s also just as skilled of a thinker as she is a fighter. Her intellect was so keen that she was able to deduce that her Mom's fiancée had ulterior motives to marry her, and tracked down Hawkeye in the vast streets of New York using her mother's security systems to rescue him. Kate has the tendency to be sharp and calculating, often combining both factors with her fighting prowess to observe and eventually take down her foes.
Boomstick: Oh I get it now. Since she’s great at fencing and an expert tactician, she’s both “sharp” as a sword and “calculated” as a college professor.
Wiz: (sarcastic) Brilliant deduction, Boomstick, but she did receive a GPA score of 3.8 at her university. Which is a far higher grade than most college students, and especially Boomstick, have ever received.
Boomstick: I heard that.
Wiz: You were suppose to. Since becoming a Private Investigator and Young Avengers, Kate has teamed up with other young heroes in training for several world saving missions.
Boomstick: From a simple as finding her half-sisters' lost necklace, to stopping a world class thief from stealing a fragment of the Cosmic Cube. The same cube that could alter reality in a single thought.
https://youtu.be/xWsVViEP-pc?si=ndP_wZUuRy4sYSwS
Wiz: And she did both of those tasks in less than a week with the help of her girlfriend, America Chavez and bestie Cassie Lang.
Boomstick: But those Tracksuit guys and killer Robots were just the appetizers compared to Kate’s main courses, the mighty Wilson Fisk, AKA the Kingpin and the super genius Monica Rappaccini AKA AIM’s Scientist Supreme.
Wiz: This is the same Kingpin who nearly pummeled heroes like Spider-Man and Daredevil to near death with his bare hands and brute strength. Not to mention that Monica Rappaccini I.Q. is on the same levels as that of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, two of the smartest heroes on earth.
Boomstick: And those guys had superpowers and tools that Kate clearly does not possess. Sure, she bought her mom enough time to escape during her fight with KP and helped the Avengers defeat Monica who had the power of the Cosmic Cube on her side, but without her gifted tricks, arrows and some clever thinking, Kate would have been a dead girl walking.
https://youtu.be/TqCL_XOOM1U?si=bRjAzO-lpK1sBAXl
Wiz: Which leads us to her greatest weakness. Despite her skills as a hero, she is still only human. Meaning she can be hurt or killed by any ordinary weapon.
Boomstick: Plus, Kate can only carry so many trick arrows at once, and has to make every shot count. If she runs out, she’ll have to result to other means of force to take down her foes'.
Wiz: Still, Kate Bishop has accomplished a lot for a former school girl turned super archer, and she shows no sign of slowing down any time soon
Boomstick: It takes a lot, a lot, to take down this one woman army.
Kate Bishop: Get away from my mom!
Caitlyn is an excellent shot for Death Battle[]
Wiz: Born to the wealthy and influential Kiramman family, one of the ruling houses of technological advanced city Piltover, Caitlyn Kiramman swiftly learned the social aspects of city life. But it didn’t take long for Caitlyn to grow bored of a life of wealth and privilege.
Boomstick: Eager to see the world for herself and to get away from the traditional snobbish lifestyle that her parents had raised her in, Caitlyn decided to one day become one of the Plitover Enforcers to make a name for herself.
https://youtu.be/sKrG586brwY?si=LqmurdyPpTmCg1bf
Wiz: Overtime, Caitlyn grew up to become a very skilled marksman competing in multiple sharpshooting contests to compete against the best of the best. She joined every marksman competition in Piltover and won every trophy.
Boomstick: After one of her matches, she confronted one of them who just so happened to be the current Sheriff of Piltover for throwing the match in her favor, suspecting that her parents had paid her to do it. Look at her, only a teenager and already showing off her super sleuth skills.
Wiz: Though Sheriff Grayson admitted to letting her win, she only did it because she felt that the girl deserved it, not because of her parents. She then asked the young women what she was shooting for, which inspired Caityln to reach for the goals she wanted, and not have her parents get in her way.
https://youtu.be/gZpTDWhF_mU?si=dSZt81B_54tAQTwY
Boomstick: She also became very close to Jayce Talis, a talented student that her parents were sponsoring. Although Jayce tried to woo her over, Caitlyn saw him as more of a brother than anything else. But one day, Caitlyn was helping him with a project when Jayce’s laboratory exploded after some misfit kids broke in and stole his work, angering Cait’s mother further about the risk Jayce had apparently put her in.
Wiz: Though Caitlyn and her father managed to convince her mother to speak for Jayce during the trial, it ultimately still went against his favor, much to Caitlyn's disappointment. So she promised that she would do better than the current investigator to make sure what happened to her friend wouldn’t happen again.
Boomstick: Caitlyn eventually joined the Piltover Police Department and became one of its top Enforcers. However, both her parents and the current Sheriff, Marcus, were opposed to this, not that she cared about their opinions at all. This girl is a rebel to the core.
https://youtu.be/v235rjxWVYI?si=3tJMQgzR23bbEYvz
Wiz: But each one had their reasonings for this. Her parents because they believed the job was too dangerous to a woman such as herself, and Marcus because she refused to listen to his orders.
Boomstick: And because he was corrupt to the core himself, being contorled and manipulated by the Zaun Crime Lord Silco. As a result, Caitlyn was often assigned menial jobs, such as guarding her parents' tent during a Progress Day festival much to her annoyance.
https://youtu.be/9_-0sqPcf14?si=y01MhnBGwfC3CW6k
Wiz: Following an attack in a Piltovan airship caused by the loose cannon Jinx, Caitlyn ran an unauthorized investigation and attempted to get information from one of Silco's henchmen, only to be stopped by Marcus, who was ordered by Silco to get the nosy cop off his trail.
Boomstick: So like the Chicago PD, you could have just said that.
Wiz: Determined to solve the case that no one else would, Caitlyn pieced together the clues and traveled to Stillwater Prison to find answers. It was here that she came across Vi, a brawler from the undercity who recognized some of Jinx's graffiti. To use her as a guide, Caitlyn had Vi released on Jayce's orders, who was now a Counselor, and the two made their way into the undercity.
Boomstick: During their time in Zaun, the pair got into a whole mess of trouble, with Caitlyn trying to solve the case while Vi just wanted to find her sister. They were constantly walking all over each other’s toes which resulted in them getting attacked by Silco’s Top Enforcer Sevika. It’s like the Bad Boys, but instead, they are the Bad Girls.
https://youtu.be/2LGKL_cQwVA?si=ch4coH19yKwmaO8B
Wiz: But their relationship wasn’t all bad, after learning to trust one another, Vi and Caitlyn became closer to each other, helping her reunite with her sister Jinx as well as Vi’s old friend Ekko, who was the leader of the resistance fighter team, The Fireflies. Having come from vastly different backgrounds, Caitlyn and Ekko were initially suspicious of each other, but found common ground when she explained the nature of the Hextech gemstone and her desire for peace.
Boomstick: However, this plan would go sideways faster than me downing a morning beer. On their way back to Piltover, they were stopped on the bridge by Marcus who was ordered by Silco to stop the duo and retrieve the Hextech Gem, by any means necessary. It was here where Caitlyn saw just how corrupt her beloved police department had become. You can never trust the police these days, at least the animated ones.
https://youtu.be/eXsZ_PxlcNI?si=BsO6oTmFRR9n4oJT
Wiz: Determined to end the corrupt police system once and for all and maintain the peace in both Piltover and Zaun, Caitlyn eventually became the Sheriff of Piltover and made it her mission to keep the peace and order in her city, with Vi as her partner.
Boomstick: Partner in Crime, more like Partner in Love. They may not not have shared their first kiss yet, but believe me, it’s only a matter of time before that shipping bomb goes off, and I'm willing to wait on that.
Wiz: Caitlyn is incredibly observant, noticing even the tiniest details in a crime scene, some that most seasoned Enforcers would not pay attention to. She uses these skills in solving criminal cases, especially in her pursuit of tracking down the criminal psychopath Jinx.
https://youtu.be/sUJJSWnhd84?si=RZXsKt3aGCAIlWUP
Boomstick: She even made a map of the entire Undercity, right down to the streets and signs, without even going down there. She’s like a combination of Law and Order and Mystery Incorporated all rolled into one.
Wiz: For the most part, Caitlyn earned her position as sheriff not just from her detective skills, but for her incredible use of firearms, especially in the rifle that is her favorite weapon. She never misses a shoot and Vi described her aim as impeccable.
Boomstick: On her birthday after she was made sheriff, she got one of the finest things I could imagine from her inventor friend Jayce. A hextech rifle and boy, she can use it fine.
Wiz: Caitlyn is an expert in the use of firearms, especially with shotguns, snipers and rifles, especially with rifles since it is her favorite weapon. She always hits her intended target and she never misses.
Boomstick: She can shoot the power source of Sevika mechanical arm with a well-aimed shot from several yards away, preferring to take out her opponents from a distance. She is so skilled that she can shoot moving targets with her eyes closed and use her ears to find them instead so well that even Daredevil would be impressed.
https://youtu.be/muYLs3wXpG4?si=84k4hl-waxY5zUkr
Wiz: Her main weapon of choice is her Piltover Peacemaker rifle. Caitlyn revs up her rifle for 1 second to unleash a penetrating shot that deals physical damage. Though she also carries around a Piltover Pistol and Steampunk camera for photographing crime scenes.
Boomstick: With this beauty of a sniper rifle, Caitlyn can fire a headshot dealing bonus damage that scales with her critical strike chance. Sure, she may not aim for the head like the name suggests, but if she has her enemies in her sights or snared in her traps, they attack doubles in the amount of damage. Unless you're wearing some really heavy armor, it'll stun or immobilize pretty much anyone with just one shot. Wiz, build me one now.
https://youtu.be/bSwhZPGUB9o?si=Mi90x36KRl5oiRWy
Wiz: Eh, with your luck, your hand'll probably get stuck in one of the moving parts and I'll have to be the one to amputate it and build you a mechanical replacement. Yeah, I'm in!
Boomstick: (laughs) Wait, what? She has a Yordle Snap Trap which, well, traps enemies in something that resembles a bear trap, but it’s meant for Yordles. So self-explanatory and need for more info.
Wiz: For this to work, Caitlyn will set up a trap that, when sprung, reveals and immobilizes the enemy champion, granting Caitlyn an empowered Headshot.
https://youtu.be/PC1PDPE5h_M?si=48QjwWjCIwMLVpod
Boomstick: She also has a 90 Caliber Net to trap foes and prevent them from moving long enough to fire a shot. The recoil pushes her back though, but it sure backs one heck of a punch.
Wiz: And finally, the Ace In The Hole called….well…the Ace in The Hole. For this ability, Caitlyn would take her time to get the perfect shot.
Boomstick: Although it may take a while to charge up, it deals massive amounts of damage. And like all Police Officers, she got some experience with basic hand to hand combat, making her reflexes sharp enough to pull a fast one on her friend Jayce. Though not as skilled as her partner/future girlfriend Vi, but more than enough to take down a few thugs, or not knock them over the head with her rifle.
Wiz: As a skilled sniper, Caitlyn has great confidence in her abilities, and becomes angry if she believes someone is going easy on her because of her status.
https://youtu.be/JqOAQNNu0GM?si=AWZOLazelJ-Yl5ux
Boomstick: Since meeting Vi, she has grown more aware of the terrible conditions of the undercity and vows to help them all in any way she can. Can’t wait for those two to settle down and have a family of their own. Because those two would make the perfect parents for any child.
Wiz: Keep on dreaming Boomstick, but this time, I mean that has a compliment. But despite her doing a good job at keeping the streets of Piltover and Zaun crime free, she doesn’t have a clean record of success.
Boomstick: Yeah she’s not much of a physical fighter, relying more on her firearms than her “fire-fists”.
Wiz: She’s also been apprehended by more agile opponents like Jinx and Ekko, and usually has to rely on Vi to come to her aid should she need it.
https://youtu.be/KFNFY6-gaDA?si=Kk3InJHb5Z4vWH3P
Boomstick: She’s basically like a League Of Legends princess, she’s from a rich family, seeks adventure and wants to do good, and gets swept off her feet by a dashing hero. Oh, I’m sorry, I meant to say heroine.
Wiz: Although Cailtlyn thrives on maintaining peace and going on wild adventures to thwart evil, nothing would make her day better than enjoying a nice cup of tea and cupcakes with her partner Vi.
https://youtu.be/vfwfW8HTQJQ?si=32lsnsC8O9mffsQV
Boomstick: But if there is something strange lurking around Piltover’s neighborhoods, who ya gonna call…CAITLYN THE ENFORCER.
Vi sighs: You gonna help me out, cupcake?
Caitlyn: Stop calling me that. My name is Caitlyn.
Vi grunts: But you're so sweet. Like a cupcake.
Caitlyn chuckles: Shut up.
Pre-Fight:[]
Wiz: All right the combatants are set, lets end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fight[]
The setting takes place at the city of Piltover, during the "Progress Day” celebration. As the crowds of people walk by, the Piltover sheriff Caitlyn can be seen patrolling the streets, observing the crowds of people, while drinking a cup of tea.
Caitlyn: Ugh, these parades are so boring now that Jinx is locked up. I was really hoping for some action today.
Caitlyn then hears some noise coming from the crowd and looks up from her post. She sees a teenage girl with a bow and arrows, revealed to be Kate Bishop running past a group of people, carrying a bag with her and with her dog Lucky behind her.
Kate: Nobody told me this place would be this crowded when I snooped around that dirty councilman's office Lucky.
Kate and Lucky run past Caitlyn, and she whistles to the rest of the Enforcers on duty and they start chasing after the archer and her dog.
Caitlyn: Hey you stop, in the name of the Piltover enforcers.
Kate: Oh Great, the cops are on our tails. Well your tail, and my butt. Never Mind, let's get out of here.
Kate and Lucky run through a crowd of people and Caitlyn and her team go in after them. At the end of the crowd, Kate runs through them and ends on a street filled with shopping stands. She looks around to see where Lucky is, but she looks down the end of the street as people run from the street and sees Caitlyn staring right at her with her rifle.
Kate: Hey, how did you get over there so fast.
Caitlyn: I have quick feet, now freeze you are under arrest.
Kate: Sorry, don’t have the time for that. Guess you’ll have to take me in forcefully.
Caitlyn aims her rifle at her and Kate brings out an arrow to put in her bow and aim it back at her through the empty streets.
In a flash, Kate fires three arrows at her opponent, but Caitlyn reacted fast enough to dodge all three and deliver her own shot in return. Kate just barely leaps out of the way to avoid the shots, and hide behind a food stand before taking aim again. Kate fires an arrow towards Caitlyn, who ducks out of the way and then in turn, shots back. Both of them barely dodged each other's shots, before reloading their weapon again. Caitlyn fires first, and her bullets hit the building next to Kate bouncing off the wall and hitting the pillars holding up the pillars that supports stand Kate is hiding behind.
Kate: Oh crud.
This causes the stand to collapse, forcing her to jump out of the her hiding spot. As he slides on the ground, she fires a trick arrow containing acid that lands under the legs of the stand her Caitlyn is, making it topple over her and pelting her with fruit. This makes Caitlyn stand up and shakes herself clean, only see Kate fire another arrow at her. Caitlyn leaps out of the way to hide behind another stand and fire her rifle. Although shot misses Kate, she did this on purpose so it would it the top of a building and ricochet off the top of the water pipes and strike a potted planet falls onto Kate's head. As the archer shakes the dirt off her, Caitlyn takes aim again, but Kate reacts faster and stabs a arrow into a nearby fruit and fires it straight into the Enforcer's face.
Caitlyn: That was so not funny.
Kate: Maybe not, but this is.
With her target out in the open, Kate makes the first move, firing several arrows at Caitlyn, who flees down the street while avoiding all of the arrow, while firing her own gun for cover fire. One of the arrows she fires is an explosive arrow, it lands a few in front of the enforcer, it explodes when it gets close to her and hurls her into the air. Kate tries to fire another arrow, but Caitlyn is too far out of her range and she has trouble finding the right angle. As she comes back down, Caitlyn pulls out a fruit she had picked up from the stand, sticks in on the front of her gun and fires it. The fruit lands straight in Kates, covering her face in fruit juice, blinding her. Not wasting anytime, Caitlyn aims her rifle and fired several shots at Kate, who leaps behind a building for cover. But one of the bullets her leg, and she quickly bandages it. Caitlyn grab onto a clothes line and uses her rifle to slide across the rope and onto a nearby building, where she has a better vantage point.
Caitlyn: Now this is what I call a "Birds eye view". Now come out, come out, where ever you are.
Caitlyn activates her rifles extra scops for better vision, and she slowly starts scanning the area, waiting for the archer to make her move. Behind the building, Kate finishes bandaging her wound, and then shuffles through her quiver to find the right trick arrow she needs. She finds the ones she needs and pulls one out and slamming the top head on the ground, releasing a cloud of smoke that covers the entire areas. With the area now covered in smoke, it allows Kate to sneak through undetected by Caitlyn, who is unaware that her target is moving towards her location.
Caitlyn: Darn it, where did all this smoke come...wait a minute.
Realizing the smoke was a decoy, Caitlyn looks around after the smoke clears to see where her target had gone, but she could not find her. Suddenly, she spots a glare in one of her scops and looks at the reflection. Spotting the glimpse of the tip of an arrow in her scoops reflection, Caitlyn turns around to fire her rifle, only for it to be knocked out of her hands by an oncoming arrow. Caitlyn tries to reach for her gun, when Kate leaps out from out of her hiding spot, with her her bow and an arrow pointing right at her.
Kate: Ha, looks like I've got you concerned now copper. Now any last words before I make my grand escape.
Caitlyn: Just two...say Cheese.
Caitlyn pulls out her camera and takes a picture of Kate, causing the bright light to temporarily blind the archer. This allows the Enforcer to grab her rifle and point it right at Kate after she regains her sight. They fire their weapons at the same time and the bullet and arrow clash together and Kate immediately shoots another one at Caitlyn, who blocks it with her rifle but is unable to block a couple more and runs to hides behind a rooftop door. Kate walks over to confront the wounded Enforcer, only to be meet with a slam to the face by back of Caitlyn's rifle. Kate responds with a punch to the Enforcer's face and a kick to the chest. Caitlyn swings her rifle at Kate's head, but she easily parries it with her own bow and the two struggle with each other to knock the other off the roof.
Getting too close the edge, Caitlyn kneed Kate in the in the stomach, knocking her back before slamming her rifle of her foot. As Kate hopes around in pain, Caitlyn prepares to fire her rifle at the archer. But Kate then notices a small rock on the ground, and pulls out a Pym Particle arrow and fires it at the ground. This cause the rock to grow in size and blocks Caitlyn's Piltover Peacemaker attack. When Caitlyn looks behind the rock, she sees Kate running away and leaping to anther building to escape.
Kate: Catch me if you can copper.
Caitlyn: Oh I intend to. Time to put those Parkour lesson's with Vi to work.
Caitlyn leaps of the building after the archer, and the two women start running after each other, firing their weapons at each other to take the other out. Kate leaps from building to building, firing numerous arrows to counter Caitlyn's shoots. Kate fires an acid arrow at a nearby ladder causing it to fall towards Enforcer. But Caitlyn easily slides on the ground, narrowly dodging the ladder's descent and continue the chase. Caitlyn then takes aim and fires her 90 Caliber Net at Kate, ensnaring the archer in a net and making her fall to the ground. Caitlyn then lands on the same building as Kate, and aims her right at the pinned archer.
Caitlyn; Finally, I got you right were I want you.
Kate: On the contrary, I've got you right where I want you.
Kate then pulls out an explosive arrow she had in her hand and slams it onto the roof they are own. The arrow explodes and causes the roof to shatter, causing both women to fall to the bottom of the abandoned building. Kate fires a grappling arrow into the ceiling and uses it to swing across the wall to the ground. On the other hand, Caitlyn is able to shoot a pillar holding up a tarp that falls in her direction that she uses to slide down to the ground.
With both women now on the ground, Kate puts her bow away and decides stop with the long range attacks and switch to close range hand to hand combat. Kate then rushes at Caitlyn and delivers several blows to her head and chest. Caitlyn tries to fight back by swinging her rifle at her, but Kate dodge the blows and counters with a kick that allows her to corner the Enforcer and uses the opportunity to stab Caitlyn with some arrows and kick him to the side. Kate prepare to deliver another punch, but Caitlyn stomps on Kate's foot, making her fist slam into the wall by mistake and allowing her to slides out of the way and make a run for it. Kate finally shakes off the pain and goes after her opponent, whom she spots running behind some crates. Kaye attempts to pursue after her, but the moment she turns the corner, Caitlyn whack the archer in the face with the back of her rifle, making her dizzily get caught in Caitlyn's Yordle Snap Trap.
Caitlyn: Now I Gotcha.
Caitlyn grabbed Kate's bow and does it away before she aimed her gun right at Kate's head. But the archer head but the top of the rifle, sending it backwards and out of the Enforcer's head. As Caitlyn rushes to pick up her weapon, Kate uses an acid arrow to melt through the Snap Trap and break through it. When the women both retrieve their weapons, they engage in an up close fight, Kare using her fist and her bow and Caitlyn using her rifle. The two went at each other, blocking and dodging blows until Caitlyn began to ware down due to her injuries. So she stomps on Kate's injured foot and makes a run for the exit door.
Kate: Oh No you don't.
Kate pulls out a Smokescreen arrow and fires it in front of Caitlyn. Smoke fills the entire room, but Caitlyn quickly flees outside of the cloud of smoke, and fires a glass window, breaking it open and allowing the smoke to escape through the gap. When the smokes disappears, she sees that Kate is right in front of the door, blocking her path.
Kate: if you want to get out of here, you'll have to go through me.
Caitlyn: Oh, I plan to.
Caitlyn runs across the hall and Kate pursues her, as they shoot their weapons at each other, where they either miss or they collide into each other. They shoot multiple times at one another, leaping over various objects as the arrows and bullets colliding mid air each time. Until Finally, Caitlyn times her shot precisely and the strap of Kate's quiver, making her primary weapons fall off her back as she leaps over a crate. With only two arrows left, Kate attempts to go after them, but a shot rings past her as Caitlyn is prepared to shoot her if she moves a muscle.
Caitlyn: Looks like you are out of ammo and idea darling. What do you plan to do now.
Kate: You are right about one thing. I might be out of ammo, but not ideas.
Kate fires her two remaining arrows right into Caitlyn's knees, making her fall to the ground screaming in pain. Kate then rushes to grab her quiver and throws it containing all of her remaining arrows right at the Enforcer. While it doesn't hit her, they do land next to Caitlyn. As Kate runs for the exit door, she fires her an explosive arrow right at the quiver as she leaps out the door. The arrow hits the quiver, causing the whole thing to explode, taking the building and Caitlyn with it. Kate is just able to make it out of the building before it comes down on top of the Enforcer in a cloud of dust. She keeps running until she collapses next to a street lamp, and Lucky runs up next to her to lick her face.
Kate: Hey boy, where have you been all this time.
Results[]
Boomstick: Okay Wiz, not matter the outcome here, I am not gonna say that bows are superior to guns at all.
Wiz: You don't have to, she already did it for me.
Boomstick: (growls in annoyance).
Wiz: Anyway, shot for shot, arrow for blast, Caitlyn and Kate Bishop are a well-made match making this an extremely close fight. Both had excellent aim and were brilliant detective in their respective worlds, but only one had a better edge up than the other.
Boomstick: Caitlyn has pulled off some ridiculous shots, but so has Kate, and she's done it in a world filled with more the just fairytale creatures on steroids. We're talking about a girl who fight alongside the Avengers and her own team of heroes.
Wiz: And while Caitlyn's rifle was impressive even for out standards, it was like a squirt gun compared to Kate's collection of arrows made for any situation that could easily counteract anything the Piltover Rifle through at it
Boomstick: And Caitlyn's main weapon of choice was her trusty rifle, while Kate could rely on more than just her bow and arrow in fight. She hand the athleticism and combat prowess that Caitlyn was seriously lacking.
Wiz: Caitlyn may have the more skilled detective of the two and had the weapon to match her brains. But what she didn't have was weapon with a variety of different mechanisms, and was out of her element against a faster, stronger and tougher opponent like like Kate Bishop.
Boomstick: Pat-a-Kate, pat-a-Cait, baker’s man. Kill me a "Caitlyn" as fast as you can. Shoot it, and blast it, and mark it with a “C”. Put it in an exploding building for Wiz and me!
Wiz: The winner is Kate Bishop
