This is one HEATED Death Battle! Old vs New. Godzilla vs Godzilla. The HOTTEST forms of Godzilla will square off to see who has the superior FIREpowerInterlude[]

Tabashi: Fire. The hottest of elements, and the most dangerous.

Angel: And for those of you Godzilla fans that don't remember, Godzilla can harness the power of fire to an absolutely ABSURD degree!

Tabashi: Both literally and figuratively.

Angel: Burning Godzilla, the hot Heisei version.

Tabashi: And Fire Godzilla, the hot head of the Monsterverse. Now, as a heads-up, if any of you guys hate cheesy fire puns, you might want to just skip this one, because we're going to just SCORCH this one with 'em!

Angel: Hey, that was a good one!

Tabashi: Thanks. Now, with that out of the way-

Angel: -He's Tabashi and I'm Angel!

Tabashi: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, skills, and temperature to find out who would win-

Angel: -In one BOILING Death Battle!

Burning Godzilla Burns Into Death Battle![]

Tabashi: It's World War II. The nations were at each other's throats. In a small island, appropriately named Lagos Island, some Japanese and American soldiers were fighting. However, in the middle of the fight emerged a dinosaur.

Angel: But this was not any ORDINARY dinosaur! No sir! It was the Kaiju-saurus known as Godzillasaurus!

Tabashi: A 39-foot (12-meter) tall Godzillasaurus, to be exact.

Angel: The G-saurus defended the Japanese soldiers, but it was heavily injured by some battleships. Close to dying, the dinosaur was taken underwater by... time travelers... where an irradiated submarine crashed against the dinosaur, turning him into Godzilla, the King of the Monsters.

Tabashi: Base 2, to be exact. Originally, Base 1 invaded Japan, attacked and left. Then he fought a plant monster. As Base 2, he fought a three-headed dragon, and then two giant moths.

Angel: And then he fought a robot version of himself and... a crystallized, alien version of himself. What is it with all these versions of himself?

Tabashi: Hey, the Heisei era is quite complex, but still good. Anyways, after he fought SpaceGodzilla, he was suddenly filled with too much radiation. That overflow turned him into-

Angel: Burning Godzilla, the Heisei era's HOTHEAD!

Tabashi: Burning Godzilla is the Heisei Godzilla at his full power, because he reached the limit of how much radiation he can absorb.

Angel: Burning Godzilla weighs 60,000 metric tons, and stands at an impressive 328 feet (100 meters) tall. His main abilities are his Atomic Breaths; He can send regular atomic breath from his mouth (with a temperature of 500,000°C, or 900,032°F), Red Spiral Ray (which is stronger and can reach up to 900,000°C, or 1,620,032°F), and the Uranium Atomic Heat Ray, which is his hottest, most powerful attack at base form, reaching 2,160,032°F (1,200,000°C).

Tabashi: His Red Spiral Heat Ray is usually a finalizing attack, and most of the time it one-shots the target! Now, at his Burning form, he can fire a Burning Heat Ray, and his strongest attack of all his forms (and possibly all incarnations, period) is the Infinite Heat Ray!

Angel: Possibly the strongest version of the atomic breath to date, the IHR has been said to increase infinitely in power every time ol' Burnie uses it. However, this ultimate breath attack can only be usable when he... approaches meltdown.

Tabashi: Yes, which is Burning Godzilla's biggest weakness. When Godzilla Heisei has too much radiation in his body, he slowly melts, and if it's too unstable, he explodes, taking the planet with him.

Angel: Anyways, besides having empowered breaths, Heisei Godzilla also can send nuclear shockwaves from his body, regenerate pretty fast, and his skin can take attacks from meteor-destroying moths and his alien clone, who destroyed multiple planets! And since Burning Godzilla is stronger than before, that means he should be able to do all that and more!

Tabashi: Base 2 can carry and throw around his MechaGodzilla clone, who can weigh up to 150,482 metric tons. And his physical striking force allows him to destroy concrete buildings on mere contact.

Angel: By just consuming radiation, his stopped heart began beating again, and he survived his second brain (which is located near his butt) being completely destroyed (though it took Fire Rodan's energy being absorbed to be able to regenerate the brain). He can even rest in volcanoes and come out without a single scratch.

Tabashi: One of Godzilla's most impressive feats is, in fact, that when he was fighting his Space version, he defeated it with difficulty, even with the help of a weird, insect-like robot. And might I say, his Crystalline Clone has destroyed multiple planets and stars!

Angel: However, Godzilla doesn't have a very good physical fighting record. He mostly just uses his beams to prevent the enemies from touching him. You know why? Because he has those really tiny arms, and that really doesn't help things.

Tabashi: And he may be durable, and may regenerate fast, but he's not immortal. When he's in his Burning Godzilla form, he gains a significant power boost, but he's just a time bomb. In a matter of time, he could explode or have a meltdown. And if he explodes, he takes the world with him.

Angel: Still, though, Burning Godzilla is too hot to handle, and I wouldn't cross his path for a second!

Fire Godzilla Fires up for Death Battle![]

Tabashi: The year was 2019, when (arguably) the best Godzilla movie came out.

Angel: And ironically, it came from America! Didn't see that one coming, did you?

Tabashi: Anyways, Godzilla was fighting King Ghidorah (with the help of Mothra, who was fighting Rodan), and since he was powered up with a nuke blowing up in his face, Godzilla actually seemed to be giving King Ghidorah an ass whuppin'.

Angel: But of course, King Ghidorah pulled a bitch move, and powered up too, via sucking up all the power from Boston and... basically giving Godzilla an ass whuppin' as well.

Tabashi: Yeah, by lifting him into the stratosphere and dropping him! After that little escapade, Mothra (who was wounded from her battle with Rodan) gave her energy to Godzilla-

Angel: -by getting VAPORIZED BY KING GHIDORAH'S GRAVITY BEAMS! That made me cry when I saw it!

Tabashi: In all honesty, I did too. But it was not in vain, for Godzilla got the most badass form yet: Fire Godzilla!

Angel: Oh yeah! Fire Godzilla has some special abilities. You know, giant pulses of pure energy that casually obliterated King Ghidorah, despite being in a powered-up state. And also (for all intents and purposes) complete invulnerability. So nothing much, really.

Tabashi: Nothing much my ass! King Ghidorah (if you remember from our last battle) created a category 6 hurricane, which was shown to be worth 405 Gigatons-62.3 Teratons of TNT. And that was just from his flight!

Angel: Yeah, and King Ghidorah's gravity beams were already likely stronger than that. And his powered-up state meant he was far stronger than before, so considering Fire Godzilla tanked 3 of those powered-up Gravity Beams with absolutely NO damage whatsoever (except, of course, getting mad and charging up his Thermo-Nuclear Pulse).

Tabashi: Which leads us to Fire's signature ability: the Thermo-Nuclear Pulses. It took only three of these to obliterate Ghidorah (one for the wings, two for the left and right head, and a third when he LITERALLY stomped King Ghidorah's body). Also, the T-NPs were strong enough to completely disperse King Ghidorah's storm, a feat which would require 12.85-81.744106261477 (~13-82) Petatons of TNT!

Angel: And travel at 1.82-4.59 (~2-5) kilometers per second, or ~4,071.2-10,268mph! Something I've always wondered: why did the middle head survive that big explosion?

Tabashi: Well, I wasn't able to figure it out for sure. My best guess, though, is that Ghidorah's impressively fast regeneration was able to keep him alive.

Angel: But it didn't even matter, since Godzilla bashed him around a little bit, charged up, and blasted the head into dust with a stream of Atomic Breath! Talk about a fatality!

Tabashi: Yeah. So not much is really known about Fire Godzilla, except that he's at the peak of Legendary's power, and that he does NOT die after he releases that last Thermo-Nuclear Pulse. So no meltdown weakness here.

Angel: However, Fire Godzilla cannot stay in his Fire form forever, so he needs to make every pulse count.

Tabashi: Also, to access this form, Legendary requires Mothra's energy to be transferred to him (or, you know, just a shitload of nuclear energy).

Angel: But one thing's for damn sure: when Legendary fires up, you'd better get a few kilometers away, or else your ass is incinerated!

Death Battle![]

Tabashi: All righty then. The combatants are set, and we've run the data through any degree of possibilities, so let's end this debate once and for all.

Angel: It's time for a scorching hot Death Battle!

Pre-Fight[]

Please note that this battle takes place immediately after LegendaryGoji vs. HeiseiGoji, so read that if you want to be caught up on the Burning Saga thus far!

Boston, Massachusetts

The Mask: Are you absolutely sure you want to initiate phase 2? I mean, the planet could be destroyed.

Teen: I don't care. Do it now!

Deadpool: I'll get a spaceship.

As Deadpool runs off, the Teen and The Mask start the timer on the shopping cart full of nukes, and make a run for it. Thirty minutes later, the shopping cart blows up, taking the city with it and enveloping Legendary and Heisei, who had started coming towards the nuclear source it smelled. Then, everything went silent. It would seem that the nuclear explosion was too much for both to handle, and they were-

STOMP!!!

Teen: Yeah, the nuclear explosion was too much, all right! And it created Burning and Fire Godzilla!

Deadpool: Where should we park this thing? I want a good view of these two beating each other up.

As it turns out, the trio was in a rocket ship in Outer Space, but they weren't going anywhere. Rather, they just wanted to watch the fight from a safe distance. Meanwhile, on Earth, Burning Godzilla and Fire Godzilla squared off, ready as ever to conclude this fight.

Burning started off the fight by using his Burning Heat Ray, which hit Fire squarely in the chest. To Burning's shock, though, Fire tanks it without flinching, and absorbs some of the energy, adding it to his own attack. Fire grinned (if you could call it that) and released a powered-up Thermo-Nuclear Pulse, which basically incinerated everything but Fire and Burning themselves. Buildings, cars, even the very street failed to stand up to the might of the Thermo-Nuclear Pulse.

Fire's grin soon disappeared, though, when he saw that all Burning had lost was his left hand... and it was regenerating back. Burning had also also absorbed some energy from the Thermo-Nuclear Pulse, and he was pissed. Burning fired off another Burning Heat Ray, which, of course, Fire just absorbed. However, in Space, the Teen noticed something.

Teen: Well, this is gonna take forever! All they're doing is just absorbing one another's attacks!

Deadpool: Will this cycle of madness ever end!?

Teen: (sighs) I wish I knew.

Meanwhile, the two hotheads charged each other, preparing for melee combat. When they collided, Fire unleashed a Thermo-Nuclear Pulse, which proved too much for Burning to absorb. Burning still kept coming, though, and the firefight was on! Burning scratched Fire with his claws, but Fire counters this by tail-whipping Burning back a few dozen feet. Burning still kept on coming, though, and this time, he was DONE playing games. Burning punched Fire in the stomach and hit him with a point-blank Burning Heat Ray, causing Fire to slightly double over. Using that to his advantage, Burning clamped his jaws down on Fire's throat, right on the gills.

Now, normally, Legendary would've cried out in pain. He would've roared in pain, and then struggled to get out of his opponent's grip. But now, as Fire, he didn't feel much, so all that came out was a simple groan of pain, followed by a point-blank Thermo-Nuclear Pulse. This stunned Burning just long enough for Fire to wrestle out of his grip, and tail-whip him back a few dozen feet. Burning was feeling beaten and tired, and considered giving up. NO, he thought to himself. For my son, I must keep fighting!

Just as Fire was about to unleash his most powerful Thermo-Nuclear Pulse yet, Burning suddenly lifted his head up and fired a Burning Heat Ray that hit Fire squarely in the gills. Fire roared in pain, falling down to his knees. Burning wasted no time in grabbing Fire's neck, and while Fire DID set off his Thermo-Nuclear Pulse (singing off some of Burning's skin), it did nothing to deter Burning from his goal. Burning charged up, and (perhaps in some sense of irony) INCINERATED FIRE'S HEAD AND THROAT WITH THE BURNING HEAT RAY!!!

Teen: …Well, that is that.

The Teen begins entering in some coordinates on the ship's computer.

The Mask: Where are we going, chum? Don't you know we can't go back on Earth?

Teen: I'm fully aware, Mask. We're not going home just yet.

Deadpool: Then where are we going?

Teen: (grins) To collect a favor from an old friend.

Results[]

Tabashi: God DAMN!! That was frickin' BRUTAL!

Angel: And also ironic, in one sense!

Tabashi: Okay, this one was actually a doozy to figure out. I know what you're all thinking: "Guys, Burning Godzilla takes this easily! He's at least a planet buster, while Fire is just over a country killer!" Well, believe it or not, Fire did have a few advantages of his own.

Angel: Yeah, for example, he could actually absorb some of Burning's energy (because, you know, it's still nuclear energy at the core), while Burning could not, because he was ALREADY on overload!

Tabashi: And also, most of LegendaryGoji vs. HeiseiGoji's results still apply here. Fire was still technically stronger and faster, while Burning was still technically smarter. An also, it is possible that Fire does still have his gills as a weakness, allowing Burning to take advantage of that.

Angel: But sadly, Fire Godzilla still had more disadvantages than advantages. He was actually less powerful than Burning by... well, by a lot, really. So while the Thermo-Nuclear Pulses could HURT Burning, they couldn't exactly KILL him.

Tabashi: Also, while both of them were evenly matched in the sense that they both only had one major offensive weapon, Burning was just way too damn powerful to have any weaknesses exploited by Fire, while Fire had those gills still. So while they both had enough firepower to hurt each other, Burning just had an actual way to KILL his opponent.

Angel: Yeah, in the end, Fire Godzilla got scorched!

Tabashi: The winner is Burning Godzilla.

Next Time, Baby![]

Angel: Next time on Death Battle!

Burning Godzilla walks off to the ocean, but once he arrives there, he is greeted by another Godzilla. This one looked similar to SpaceGodzilla, but it did have its differences. Nonetheless, Burning roared at the new Godzilla, ready to fight once again.

Trivia[]

  • The connection between Burning and Fire Godzilla is that they are both heated, powered-up forms of Godzilla, that were able to defeat their arch-nemeses (Destoroyah for Burning and King Ghidorah for Fire).
