Bowser Jr. vs Silver is a What-If? Death Battle originally made by Hipper that was adopted by Vrokorta.
Description[]
Mario vs Sonic! They may be young, reckless, arrogant, & disliked by fans, but they never back down! Who will come out on top?!
Interlude[]
Wiz: Youth. Often desired by those who don't possess it, but generally not a useful trait.
Boomstick: Yeah, the youth are often reckless, arrogant, naive, & inexperienced, giving them a bad reputation with others.
Sphere Robot: But they always strive to improve, & persevere, never backing down from even the toughest of obstacles.
Vrokorta: Like Bowser Jr, the heir to the Koopa throne.
Wiz: And Silver, the psychokinetic hedgehog from the future.
Sphere Robot: Together, the 4 of us will analyze these combatants' weapons, armor & skills to find out who would win, a Death Battle.
Bowser Jr.[]
Wiz: Not much is known about Bowser Jr's. early life. What we do know is that he's Bowser's biological son, & one of the higher ups in his army.
Boomstick: Bowser's his biological father? Well then who's the mother?
Sphere Robot: One of gaming's greatest mysteries Boomstick.
Vrokorta: All that's beside the point. Getting back to the point, Bowser Jr would go on to help his father try to capture Peach & defeat Mario, all to no avail. But Jr never gave up, & to this day, he continues to refine his skills.
Boomstick: Speaking of skills, Bowser Jr has tons!
Wiz: Bowser Jr's signature weapon is the Magic Paintbrush, he uses it to whack or distract foes, deflect projectiles, spread elemental goop, summon minions, manipulate water, & create portals & blockades.
Sphere Robot: When he's not using his Paintbrush, Jr has other ways to fight. He can ram enemies with his shoulder or shell, similar to his father & the Koopalings. He can breathe homing fireballs or streams of fire for ranged offense. He can paralyze enemies with his magic or a ground pound, weaken enemies with a Sonic Roar, negate certain actions, turn people to stone, slow down time, heal himself, &... summon minions. I guess he doesn't need the Magic Paintbrush to do that.
Vrokorta: And those are just his natural abilities. His equipment consists of Bullet Bills, Bob-ombs, projectile hammers, a handheld hammer, koopa shells, a tank, hover board, boomerang, & various vehicles.
Boomstick: Most notably the Junior Clown Car, the mini version of Bowser's Koopa Clown Car. It may be smaller, but it's armed to the teeth, or tongue in this case. Seriously, one of its weapons is a tongue. Anyways, it's got drills, wrecking balls, spike balls, hammers, saw blades, a fork, a Mecha Hand, jet boosters, a submarine mode, a car mode, boxing gloves, a protective dome, & a larger version of itself. It's also super durable, being able to block hits for Jr & even no-sell certain attacks. Jr can even summon it to bring him healing food. On top of all that, Jr can use it to perform his Junior Smash ability, which rams the enemy with the Clown Car, reducing their HP by 50%! Best, ride, ever. Can't wait to sneak into Wiz's lab & make my own.
Wiz: And that's not all, he's got a bunch of robots & mechs too. Mecha-Bowser is a giant robot version of Bowser that can shoot Bullet Bills & fire breath. Megaleg is a gargantuan tripod that can shoot Bullet Bills. His airship can shoot fireballs, Bullet Bills, Targeting Teds, & cannonballs, & is equipped with Mechakoopas, Mecha Cheeps, rocket engines, & a giant Mecha Hand. Megahammer is a large flying mech with hammer hands, Bullet Bills, & electricity manipulation. The Boomsday Machine is a mechanized tower equipped with fire bars, electric cannons, vacuums, & tank treads. Mecha Jr is a smaller mech equipped with rocket feet, a mallet, & bombs, it can resist being knocked off of the ground.
Sphere Robot: Now I'm sure you're waiting for us to talk about Shadow Mario, but the thing is, we don't really need to. The majority of the abilities Shadow Mario possesses are either abilities Jr's. displayed on his own, or abilities that wouldn't be all too useful in combat. For example, Shadow Mario has displayed many abilities with the Magic Paintbrush, but Jr doesn't need to become Shadow Mario to wield it, so the transformation's pointless there. As for his other abilities, yeah, jumping around like Mario & extending your tongue aren't going to help much in a fight. For the most part, we can assume that most abilities that Shadow Mario has can also be used by jr.
Vrokorta: So yeah, besides all that, Bowser Jr is also hyperactive, highly intelligent, fairly stealthy & acrobatic, can pilot just about anything, possesses skill in many sports, has strong leadership skills, & tends to be quite tricky.
Boomstick: But he didn't get anywhere without some muscles backing him up!
Wiz: Right. Bowser Jr is said to have inherited Bowser's strength, & was strong enough to hold up a 10 tonne eel, & throw a cannonball that weighed several hundred tonnes. He's also gone toe-to-toe with Mario, Luigi, the Koopalings, King Bob-omb, & even Bowser himself.
Vrokorta: Not to mention that Bowser Jr should be stronger than Baby Bowser.
Boomstick: ... Why's that important?
Vrokorta: Because Baby Bowser was strong enough to fight Yoshi, who created a constellation. To create a constellation would mean you have to create the stars in said constellation, which requires a certain amount of Gravitational Binding Energy (GBE). The smallest constellation in our universe contains 4 stars, while the largest contains 13. Averaging that out would give us 9 stars in Yoshi's constellation. The GBE of the average star is equivalent to 5.693e41 Joules of energy. Multiplying that by 9 gives us 5.124e42 Joules of energy, or 0.005 Foe. For those who don't know, 1 Foe is the energy of a supernova, y'know, a star exploding.
Sphere Robot: Jr also has plenty of speed. Bowser Jr can keep up with Mario, & Mario can keep up with Grand Star Bowser, who's fast enough to react to a ship that can cross hundreds of galaxies in a short time. Due to having unknown values, we'll assume the ship crossed 200 galaxies in 1 day, which would require speeds over 19 million times the speed of light, & this is likely a low-balled value.
Wiz: However, Bowser Jr's most impressive stats come from his creations, specifically the ones powered by Grand Stars. Grand Stars are stronger than Power Stars, which're comparable to Lumas, which can turn into galaxies. To put it simply, Grand Stars should have galaxy levels of power, but that's not even the half of it. At the end of Super Mario Galaxy, a single Grand Star created a star so big that, when it imploded, it created a black hole that threatened the very fabric of the universe. This could be viewed as a sort of side-effect or ripple effect that isn't related to the Grand Star. However, the star only imploded after Mario took the Grand Star from Bowser, which could imply that the Grand Star was the only thing keeping the star from imploding, which would give it the power to hold back a universe ending force. Not only that, but Bowser's plan in SMG is actually stated to be that he was going to destroy the universe & make a new one where he'd rule.
Boomstick: So Bowser Jr's strongest creations have the potential to destroy galaxies & universes, how exactly does he get beaten again?
Vrokorta: Well that one's pretty simple, Jr's reckless, stubborn, arrogant, overconfident, & a lot of his equipment can be used against him. Not to mention that a lot of his mechs have obvious weak spots.
Boomstick: Well that's a bummer, but it won't stop Bowser Jr. He gets up every time he's knocked down, & never stops coming up with new ways to achieve his goals.
Bowser Jr: Get ready to lose!
Silver[]
Boomstick: So Silver is a telekinetic hedgehog from the future. When the whole world is wrecked by a lava kaiju, he's tricked into going back in time to kill Sonic to stop the disaster from happening. But then-
Wiz: Uh, Boomstick, that backstory was retconned.
Boomstick: What?!
Wiz: Yeah, Solaris was wiped from existence, which changed the course of events. Silver actually first appeared when he went back in time to stop Eggman Nega from turning Sonic's world into a card.
Boomstick: Um... okay?
Sphere Robot: Don't worry Boomstick, you're not alone.
Vrokorta: My confusion is immeasurable. Anyways, Silver came to the past, stopped some bad guys that threatened the future, went back home, & continued to rinse & repeat to this day.
Sphere Robot: Yeah, Silver just kind of exists so SEGA can pull him out of nowhere. At least, that's what he's for nowadays.
Boomstick: At least he's got some cool powers to make up for it.
Wiz: Correct. Silver's main ability is his Psychokinesis.
Boomstick: You mean telekinesis?
Wiz: No Boomstick, SEGA calls it Psychokinesis.
Boomstick: ... Why tho?
Wiz: Beats me. Anyways, Silver uses his Psychokinesis to grab, levitate, bend, & throw objects, including non-physical things like fire & electricity. By using it on himself, he can achieve extended flight in mid-air. On top of that, he can manipulate & project his energy in the form of energy blades, electricity, & a sort of invisible force. He can also use his powers to disorient & paralyze enemies.
Sphere Robot: Just like his hedgehog comrades, he can perform a spin attack, spin dash, & homing attack. Not to mention his Dash maneuver, which lets him smash through obstacles just like Sonic's Boost.
Vrokorta: Silver can also warp space to quickly cross short distances in an intangible state, teleport, & time travel.
Boomstick: Let's not forget his strongest ability, Super Silver. With the power of all seven Chaos Emeralds, Silver can go Super Saiyan, giving him nigh-invulnerability & enhanced abilities as long as he keeps it charged with positive energy & rings.
Wiz: Needless to say, Silver has some pretty impressive abilities, which he backs up with impressive stats.
Sphere Robot: Yeah, like how he's durable enough to take hits from Color Powers, which originate from Wisps. A single Nega Wisp on its own is capable of creating a black hole with a strength of over 27,000 Yottatons, which is more than enough power to destroy a planet. Assuming all Wisps have power like this, that'd mean Silver can survive planet destroying force without issue. Now you might be wondering "That's a really high-end feat, you sure that's not an outlier?", & to that I say yes! Why? 3 words, Team Sonic Racing. In this game, the new genius of the series, Dodon Pa, is gathering the greatest racers across time & space to fuel his ultimate creation. Wouldn't you know it, one of those racers is Silver, who Dodon Pa messaged TO THE FUTURE just to get him to come back to the present & compete. So Silver scaling to some high-end feats isn't too far-fetched. If that's not enough for you, then consider all the other planetary threats in the Sonic series. Master Core: ABIS made a black hole strong enough to swallow the planet. Emerl, who was stated to be capable of destroying the planet. Not to mention the Nega Wisp Armor, which was powered by HUNDREDS of the aforementioned Wisps. So no, certainly not an outlier in our eyes.
Vrokorta: Moving on to a, shorter topic, Silver was fast enough to keep up with Sonic. In Sonic Unleashed, the Light Speed Dash has an SPD value of 390. His top speed in this game is 3519 SPD. 3519 divided by 390 gives a speed value of 9 times the speed of light. Not only that, but if we're to take Sonic Forces seriously, Sonic claims that he's always getting stronger. Even Omega once noted that Sonic's speed continues to grow. Since Sonic Unleashed came out quite a while back, it'd be safe to assume that Sonic's speed has grown to well over 10 times the speed of light. Of course, Silver wouldn't be "just as fast", Sonic's not the fastest thing alive for nothing, but his speed should be relatively close since he can keep up with Sonic.
Boomstick: But let's not forget about Super Silver. Being powered by the Chaos Emeralds, his stats can vary based on the amount of positive energy they're charged with. At their best though, they were able to match up against Solaris, a god that transcends time & space, & is capable of destroying all timelines. However, this form doesn't last forever. It requires rings to stay charged, & if Silver runs out, his form wears off.
Wiz: And that's not Silver's only weakness. He's also a bit naive, arrogant, insecure, & reckless. Not to mention that his psychic powers have limits, like only being able to hold a certain amount of objects, not being able to restrain particularly strong opponents, & needing to recharge his powers with rings.
Sphere Robot: Besides that though, Silver has shown unwavering determination to protect the future. Not once has he backed down, & this fight will certainly be no exception.
Silver: I will never give up! Let's go!
Intermission[]
Vrokorta: Alright, the combatants are set, let's... give our opinion on this... actually discussed debate.
*Boomstick flies in on a Clown Car with his face on it.*
Boomstick: Yeah, it's been a while since we made a fight people actually cared for the outcome of.
*Wiz runs in.*
Wiz: How'd you get in my lab?
Sphere Robot: He didn't, he got into my workshop.
Boomstick: Yeah, that rhino & T-rex were tough though. Anyways, it's time for a DEATH BATTLLLLLLLLLE!!!!!!
Death Battle[]
Location: Bowser's Castle
Bowser Jr is seen standing alone in his room, focusing really hard. He suddenly drops his focus & leans over, panting heavily. He recomposes himself.
BJ: C'mon Jr, you've almost got it. Once I show dad I can warp through time & space like he can, he'll want to shower me in praise.
The young heir resumed his focus.
BJ: I, just, need, to, FOCUS!
A small light began to surround Jr. Then, he disappeared... right before Kamek walked in.
Kamek: Junior! Lunch ti-
Bowser Jr was nowhere to be seen.
Kamek: ... Junior?
Location: Crisis City
Bowser Jr opened his eyes to see he was in a wrecked city.
BJ: Hah hah! I did it! I can't wait to show dad!
Excited, Junior tried to warp his way back home. However, his mind was clogged with all the praise he knew he'd get when he got back home, & couldn't focus enough to get back.
BJ: Aw man, that's not gonna work is it? Oh well, my expert tracker skills will get me home in no time!
Bowser Junior took one step forward before a metal spike pierced the ground in front of him. Junior stopped in his tracks, & looked up. Silver the Hedgehog was floating above the heir, staring down at him with his arm outstretched. He'd only just seen this being, & he got really bad feelings from him. He could sense a mixture of fire & great power from him, & it gave him the worst feeling, but he didn't know why. What he did know, was that this person could not be allowed to stay.
Silver: I don't who you are, or where you come from, but I do know, that you must be destroyed monster!
Bowser Jr stared for a moment, then burst out laughing.
BJ: Hah! You think I'm scared of you? I'll smash you into next week!
Silver glowed with cyan energy as several objects from his surroundings began to float around him.
Silver: Try me.
Bowser Jr pulled out his Magic Paintbrush, & began to twirl it around.
BJ: Bring it!
FIGHT!
Silver began throwing crates, rocks, & rubble at Bowser Jr. The koopa heir swatted each projectile out of the air with his Paintbrush before shooting goop at Silver. The silver hedgehog teleported out of the way & appeared behind Jr.
Silver: Psycho Blast!
BJ: Wahh!
Jr was sent flying from Silver's psychic attack, & the hedgehog followed up by throwing cars at the young koopa. Jr saw the cars coming, & quickly painted a plane that he used to fly out of the way. Jr began circling around Silver as he shot goop at his adversary. The telekinetic hedgehog caught the goop with his mind, & tossed it back, blasting the koopa's plane out of the sky. Jr fell out of his plane with a thud, & Silver raised a car over him before quickly bringing it down on the young heir. Before Silver could follow up, Jr got up, now carrying the car.
BJ: Oh, you're in for it now bub.
Jr threw the car at Silver, who used his powers to stop it in place. However, Jr crashed through the car & delivered a punch to Silver's face, sending him tumbling along the ground.
BJ: Hahahaha!
Jr ran after Silver, now holding a small, blue hammer in his hand. Silver got up, & saw Jr coming. Before the koopa heir could hit him, Silver leapt into the air, avoiding the hit right before diving down & kicking Bowser Jr. However, Jr grabbed Silver by the leg, swung him around, & threw him into a building. However, the whole building glowed with cyan energy as it was lifted into the air & launched at Jr. The young koopa grabbed the building with both hands to keep it from crushing him, but Silver teleported right next to Jr, & released an electric shock wave that paralyzed the heir. Silver warped away as Jr lost his grip & the building came down on him. Silver watched to see what his opponent would do next. Then, Jr angrily burst from the rubble before looking at Silver & screaming at the top of his lungs.
BJ: AHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Silver raised his arms in defense, but when he lowered his arms, he found himself tiny.
BJ: Haha!
Jr threw a Bob-omb at Silver, knocking the hedgehog to the ground & paralyzing him. The young koopa pulled out his hammer again & started repeatedly slamming the hedgehog with it. When Silver returned to normal, he yelled-
Silver: Psycho Smash!
The silver hedgehog once again sent the koopa prince flying with a psychic attack. This time however, Silver grabbed Jr in mid-air before slamming him through another building, causing the whole thing to collapse on top of him. Silver watched the rubble for a while, & didn't see any movement.
Silver: Finally.
Right as the hedgehog was about to leave, he heard a mechanical whirring. He turned around to see the Junior Clown Car fly to Jr's location.
Silver: What the?
The Clown Car stuck out it's Mecha Hand to clear the rubble before pulling out a large helping of food & dropping it on Jr. The koopa prince leapt to his feet full of energy before hopping into his car.
BJ: Hah! You won't beat me that easily!
The Clown Car adopted an angry face as it flew at Silver with surprising speed before ramming him off his feet. Silver was sent sprawling across the ground as Jr gave chase. Silver managed to catch himself & held up his hand to stop the Clown Car. However, Jr saw this coming, & snapped his fingers.
"DENIED"
Silver's powers failed to grab the Clown Car.
Silver: WHAT!?
The Clown Car projected its boxing glove arms & started punching Silver repeatedly. It finished by punching him into the ground, where he rebounded right back into the car's range. It performed several spins, hitting Silver with its extended arms, before grinding him with his drills & knocking him away with its saw blade. Silver hit the ground hard & rolled into a building. He could hardly move as Bowser Jr approached him.
(Stop Music)
BJ: Ha, that was fun, but I should really finish you off now.
The Junior Clown Car floated into the air to make room for a larger Clown Car that connected to the bottom. It's new arms reached out to grab two mallets that'd appeared out of nowhere, & raised one into the air.
BJ: Any last words?
Silver trembled.
Silver: I... I...
BJ: Not even gonna beg for mercy? Well that's disappointing. Guess I'll just put you out of your-
Silver: I'm not through yet!
Jr had a surprised look on his face as Silver slowly pulled himself to his feet, cyan energy slowly gathering around him.
(Dreams of an Absolution TSR Remix)
Silver: I won't let myself be beaten! I fight to protect people from monsters like you! So rest assured, I WILL COME OUT ON TOP!
By the time he was finished, he was glowing with a cyan energy far brighter than before. He was now tapping into the full power of his ESP!
BJ: ... What're you going on about?
Silver: HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!
Silver rammed directly into the Clown Car, knocking it into the air.
BJ: Gwah!
Silver flung the car away as he used his powers to draw in everything within a 100 meter radius. Rubble & debris floated around him while rings were absorbed into his body. Then, he gestured toward Jr, & all the projectiles were sent flying in his direction.
BJ: Yipes!
Jr quickly pressed a button, pulling the car's dome over his head, protecting him from the onslaught.
BJ: Ha ha, how do you like this!?
The Clown Car lunged towards Silver, ready to swing its hammer at him. Silver quickly teleported out of the way, & shot an energy blade at the car. Jr turned around & swung again, but Silver did the same as before, this time managing to sever the car's arm. He then used his Psychokinesis to grab the hammer wielding arm & start hitting the Clown Car with it. Jr tried to fight back, but Silver tied the first arm around the car's remaining arm before tearing it off, leaving the enhanced Clown Car armless.
BJ: Wah!
Silver delivered one final hit with both arms, blowing up the large Clown Car & sending the small one flying with Jr still inside. The Clown Car hit the ground & dumped Jr out, having sustained significant damage. ESP Silver floated over to Jr.
Silver: Now who's begging for mercy?
The young prince smirked.
BJ: Please, you've given me just what I needed to get out of here!
Thanks to his fight with Silver, Jr's mind was now clear enough to get home. He focused, & started to glow.
Silver: Oh no you don't!
Silver rushed at Jr just as the latter disappeared.
Location: Bowser's Castle
(Stop Music)
Bowser: I TOLD YOU TO KEEP LOOKING!!!
Bowser yelled at his minions as they scrambled to find Jr, who'd only been missing for several minutes. Kamek approached Bowser.
Kamek: Sir, I would encourage you to calm down.
Bowser: AND WHY WOULD I DO THAT!?!?!
Kamek: Jr is smart. It's not like he'd get lost or captured easily. I think it's only a matter of time before he makes his way back.
Bowser: So what, you expect me to believe he'll just come back out of nowhere?
CRASH!
Bowser & Kamek turned towards the noise.
Kamek: That sounded like it came from Jr's hangar.
Bowser: You think I don't know my own castle?! Of course it came from the hangar!
Bowser ran to the hangar as Kamek followed on his broom. When they got there, they saw a hole in the ceiling, & Bowser Jr dusting himself off in a small crater.
Bowser: Junior!
Bowser ran up to Jr, spread out his arms, & snatched him off the ground.
Bowser: WHERE THE HECK HAVE YOU BEEN!?!?!
BJ: Oh you know, I was just-
Jr's face dropped.
BJ: Uhh, dad? Look behind you.
Bowser turned around, only to be blasted in the face by blue energy.
Kamek: Lord Bowser!
Kamek retrieved Bowser as Jr turned to the source of the attack. It was Silver. Jr accidentally brought the hedgehog with him when he warped.
Silver: I don't where you've brought me, but it won't keep me from destroying you!
Jr smirked.
BJ: On the contrary.
Jr laughed as he backflipped into the cockpit of a large tower. The Boomsday Machine.
BJ: It'll allow ME to destroy YOU!
Jr released a barrage of electric projectiles as he rolled towards the silver hedgehog. Silver grabbed several shots & sent them back, but none of them had any effect as they hit the main body. Jr laughed as his machine ran down a wall in its chase for Silver.
BJ: You don't stand a chance!
Jr kept firing, & Silver was having trouble keeping up. Eventually he took a hit, & was knocked to the ground.
BJ: Now say goodbye!
Suddenly, a golden being appeared before Jr. The being looked oddly familiar. That's because it was Silver... Super Silver.
BJ: What!? Why are there two of you?
Super Silver: Simple, while you were distracted, I traveled through time to get the Chaos Emeralds, so I would have the strength to finish you off!
Jr was a bit confused.
BJ: Well, that won't happen if I crush-
Jr turned to crush present Silver's body, but he was no longer there.
Super Silver: It's too late.
BJ: Grr, that doesn't matter! Silver or gold, I'll destroy you all the same!
(Cackletta's Soul - GaMetal - Extended)
Jr continued shooting at Silver, but the golden hedgehog caught all the projectiles & threw them back at Jr, tearing through the Boomsday Machine.
BJ: Wah!
Jr jumped out of the BM as Silver flew straight through it, blowing it up, a Grand Star flying out upon it's destruction. The golden hedgehog looked around to find Jr, only to see he was halfway back to the castle.
Super Silver: You won't get away!
Silver flew up to Jr & attempted to grab him with his Psychokinesis, but-
"DENIED"
Jr Denied Silver once again, allowing him to get back to the hangar & activate his next machine. As soon as Silver caught up, he was blasted away. When he recovered from the shot, he saw a massive tripod staring him down. Megaleg. The massive robot continued to shoot at him, but Silver weaved through the shots before grabbing a Bullet Bill & throwing it back at him. The attack hit its face, but the robot was unfazed. Megaleg marched forward as he continued to shoot, but Silver just kept sending the bullets back, eventually hitting the cage on his head, breaking it. Several alarms went off on Megaleg as more cages came up to guard the dome on its head.
Silver: Oh, I see.
Silver grabbed another Bullet Bill, but this time he flew over Megaleg, & shot the bullet at the glass dome on its head. This destroyed the dome, freeing the Grand Star inside, which flew into the air. As Megaleg exploded into pieces, Silver resumed his search for Jr, only to find him calmly sitting in a clear sphere on the floor. The gold hedgehog charged right at Jr.
Silver: You're leaving yourself wide open!
BJ: Haha, I know.
Before Silver could make contact, a giant hammer erupted from the floor, knocking him through the ceiling. Jr laughed as his sphere rose into the air & a giant body erupted from the ground. Megahammer had joined the fray. The giant robot burst through the ceiling as it came after Silver, who'd just finished recomposing himself.
Silver: How many machines do you have?!
BJ: As many as I WANT.
Silver: It won't be enough!
BJ: Keep telling yourself that.
Silver charged right at Jr, but he countered with a hammer strike, knocking the hedgehog away. However, Silver circled back, but Jr countered again. This continued several times before Silver stopped to think about it.
Silver: Dang it! He always sees me coming. There's gotta be something else.
Silver looked down to see the cannons on Megahammer's body, then got an idea.
Silver: Hey, think you can get me when I'm all the way over here?
BJ: Please, you're not gonna trick my like that.
Silver: I guess you're just too chicken. I'd expect as much from a small fry like you.
BJ: Excuse me?
Silver: Yeah, I mean, just look at all your robots, you're CLEARLY compensating for something.
BJ: No I'm not! I just do this for versatility & defense!
Silver shrugged.
Silver: A coward's excuse.
BJ: GRAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
Megahammer lunged at Silver, who teleported out of the way & kicked the dome on Megahammer's back, shattering it.
Silver: Not what I was planning, but this works.
He then used his Psychokinesis to pull Bullet Bills from Megahammer's body & send them at the other two domes, destroying them in an explosion of smoke.
Silver: Gotcha!
However, Megahammer lunged out of the smoke & slammed Silver into the ground, the cockpit now exposed.
BJ: Nice try, but that's not enough!
Megahammer placed both its hammers forward & electrified them before charging straight for Silver. The gold hedgehog reacted just in time, & deflected a hammer, sending it directly into Megahammer's cockpit.
BJ: Wah!
Megahammer exploded.
BJ: Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!
Jr was launched into the sky alongside another Grand Star, both of which landed back in the castle.
Silver: Can't he just stay still so I can finish him!?
Silver flew after Jr one last time. When he arrived, he saw Jr standing in front of another robot, holding all 3 Grand Stars from earlier. This robot was Mecha Jr., & Jr was about to power it with all 3 Grand Stars.
BJ: With this, I'll be unstoppable!
Silver: Oh no you won't!
BJ: Wah!
Jr quickly shoved the stars into his robot, but then there was a huge explosion.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Stop Music)
Location: The core of a star
Jr woke up, & saw light everywhere. He shook his head, & looked around. It seemed that he was, inside a star. He looked behind him to see Mecha Jr. still standing. He looked in the hatch of his robot, & saw all 3 Grand Stars crammed inside.
BJ: Perfect! Now to find that rat & show'em who's boss.
Jr hopped into his mech & flew off.
Silver woke up similar to how Jr did, shaking his head & realizing he was in a star. He was still in his super form, which was good, cause he could still sense that his opponent was around. He got up, & flew off to find him.
Eventually, both combatants spotted each other.
BJ: Finally! I thought maybe you'd flown the coop in fear.
Silver: Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't give up so easily.
BJ: You misunderstand. On the contrary, I'm glad you're still here.
Mecha Jr pulled out its mallet.
BJ: I'm going to enjoy pushing you to your limit.
Silver: Funny, I was thinking the same thing.
Final Showdown!
Mecha Jr lunged at Silver with his mallet drawn. Silver tried stopping him with his Psychokinesis, but Jr powered through it & slammed Silver downward. The hedgehog teleported above Jr & opened several wormholes that shot meteors at the young heir. Jr turned around & started smashing the meteors as he made his way up to Silver. Right before Jr reached him, Silver grabbed several meteors with his Psychokinesis & threw them all at Jr at once, which knocked him & his mech backwards. Silver followed up with several blasts of Chaos lightning, but Jr righted his mech & spun his mallet to deflect the shots before shooting an energy missile from its hatch at Silver. The golden hedgehog grabbed the missile, only to be bombarded by 100 more. Silver tossed his missile aside & started flying to avoid the rest. As he flew, he released a blast of psychic energy that had no effect on the missiles. Jr on the other hand-
BJ: Urgh. What's with this headache? It just came out of nowhere.
With his distraction in place, Silver bolted through all of Jr's missiles, & rammed right into Mecha Jr, knocking the mech back & tearing a hole in the torso.
BJ: NO!
Mecha Jr grabbed Silver with it's free hand & tried to crush him, but Silver sent another blast of electricity at Jr, this time aimed at the opening he'd just made.
BJ: Ah, don't do that!
Mecha Jr started to spaz right before a Grand Star shot out of its chest & exited the star.
Silver: Now I've got you!
BJ: No, now you've killed us BOTH!
Suddenly, the entire star began to shake & shrink.
BJ: Without that Grand Star, this star'll implode into a universe-eating black hole, & we'll be the first course.
Suddenly, Silver grabbed Mecha Jr with his Psychokinesis, holding him in place.
Silver: I don't care! This is your mistake, & you'll pay the price for it, even if it means we both go down!
BJ: You're crazy!
Jr smirked.
BJ: Good thing I'm a genius.
Jr suddenly threw a bomb at Silver, paralyzing him. He then used Mecha Jr's Magnetize ability to pull Silver in, getting him stuck to the mech.
Silver: You won't win that easily!
BJ: I know.
Jr pulled out his Magic Paintbrush & tickled Silver, causing him to drop all of his rings & depower from his super form.
BJ: I'll win THAT easily.
Jr rolled up into a clear sphere before zooming out of the star, which was quickly falling in on itself.
Silver: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
The star collapsed into a black hole, & Silver was consumed.
K.O.!
Jr landed outside as the star imploded, becoming a massive black hole.
BJ: Oh crap, what do I do now?
Suddenly, the black hole slowed down, & started to shrink. As it shrank, Jr could see his dad channeling the power of a Grand Star, weakening the black hole. Eventually, the black hole shrank so much, that it couldn't be seen anymore.
(Stop Music)
BJ: Uhh?
Bowser leapt into the air & landed right in front of Jr. He had a serious look on his face.
Bowser: So, anything you want to tell me son?
BJ: ... I learned to warp through time & space.
Bowser: ... Nice.
Alt. Ending[]
Jr sat up & looked at Silver, who gave him a serious & menacing look. Jr tilted his head to the floor.
BJ: Guess I'll never get to show dad how great I did.
Silver's face changed to a more concerned look.
Silver: What?
BJ: I'll never get home to tell dad how I warped through time & space & fought a guy from another dimension.
Silver floated to the ground, his cyan glow fading away.
Silver: I never had a dad.
Jr suddenly turned to face Silver.
BJ: No dad? I can understand no mom, but no dad. That sounds awful.
Silver sat down next to Jr.
Silver: I've been living out here by myself for years, doing my best to uphold the peace. Everyday I feel like there should be someone by my side, yet find myself alone.
BJ: ... that's rough. That's REALLY rough. And you're saying that there's NO ONE else around here to help?
Silver: Not in the city at least.
Jr suddenly stood up.
BJ: Then doggone it we'll find someone beyond the city!
Silver was surprised.
Silver: You're gonna help me?
BJ: Yeah, but don't tell anyone, I've got an image to hold up.
Jr used his healing magic to restore the Clown Car before hopping in.
BJ: Let's go!
Silver: But what about your dad?
BJ: That can wait, I've got time to spare. Now let's go before I change my mind.
Silver used his powers to follow Jr outside the city. He still got a bad feeling from Jr, but he was sure now that he wasn't quite the monster he'd thought he was.
Results[]
Boomstick: Hey, not bad for ol' Jr. His dad should be proud.
Wiz: When discussing their base forms, Jr had a significant strength advantage. Silver could survive over 27,000 Yottatons of energy, & harm enemies just as durable. However, Jr's strength of 5.124e42 Joules equates to over 1,000,000,000 Yottatons, 37,000X stronger than Silver.
Sphere Robot: Silver was outclassed in speed too. If we're being totally generous & say that Silver's 10X the speed of light, Jr's still FAR faster, at 19,000,000X the speed of light, 2,000,000 times faster.
Boomstick: Let's not forget their arsenals, Jr really takes the cake there. His magic, goop, vehicles, weapons, & other abilities gave him a lot more variety & versatility than Silver's. Now Silver wasn't totally outmatched, his Psychokinesis could send a lot of Jr's attacks back at him, & his telepathy could briefly screw with Jr by confusing his senses. However, this wouldn't be enough. Jr's Status Barrier would likely let him negate abilities like Silver's paralysis, & his superior strength would render Psychokinesis less effective, as Silver's gonna have trouble restraining someone so much stronger than him. On top of that, the Clown Car can tank some of the toughest hits, & has the strength to reduce opponents by 50% of their total HP. Not to mention healing. Jr had several ways to heal damages, while Silver didn't. Lastly, we should bring up Ring Time. To put it simply, Ring Time only works on fodder like Moto-Bugs & Egg Pawns. It's safe to assume it wouldn't work on someone equal to Silver, like Shadow or Blaze, so it definitely wouldn't work on someone 37,000 times stronger. We could keep going, but you get the point.
Wiz: Of course, there's also intelligence. Now Silver's no idiot, but his intelligence pales in comparison to Jr, who comes up with tricky schemes, builds massive robotic constructs, & strategizes against particular foes. With this in mind, Jr would be more likely to find & exploit Silver's weaknesses than it is the other way around. However, Silver definitely had better experience. He's fought robots, geniuses, & powerful fire beasts before. Besides his impressive arsenal, Jr was hardly different from anything Silver's faced. Meanwhile, Jr's never fought a time travelling psychic from another universe, simple as that.
Vrokorta: But you may think, "Why doesn't Silver go back in time to stop Jr from ever being born?" or something like that. For starters, that's out of character. Second, Silver can go back in time all he wants, but he doesn't even know who Bowser Jr is, so he'd have no way of knowing what brought about his creation, or where he'd be. Heck, WE don't even know how Jr was born, so Silver sure as heck wouldn't! Third, even if Silver were to somehow find Jr as a baby somewhere, he'd STILL have trouble beating him. Remember when we said Bowser as a baby fought Yoshi, who created a constellation? Having inherited his father's strength, this would mean even his baby form would physically outclass Silver, & possibly beat the hedgehog.
Wiz: But now we need to bring up their extra equipment. Thanks to the Emeralds' power, Silver can match up to the strength & speed of beings as strong as Solaris. However, these are his MAXIMUM stats shown so far, & he only achieves it when charged with sufficient positive energy. However, it'd definitely be enough to match up with the stats of Jr's mechs, but he wasn't going to surpass them.
Sphere Robot: With that in mind, we can cover intelligence, arsenal, & experience. Starting with intelligence... well Chaos Emeralds don't make you smarter, so Jr keeps this advantage, though this also means that Silver keeps his experience advantage. As for arsenal, Super Silver hardly has anything beyond his base form's abilities, so Jr maintains this advantage as well.
Boomstick: However, Super Silver does have this going for him. Most of Jr's mechs have obvious weak spots that he could easily destroy. If Super Silver could destroy all of Jr's mechs, that'd leave the koopa kid defenseless against Super Silver's raw power. However, as good as this is, Jr's superior intelligence could very well lead him to find Silver's weak spot, that being his limited energy supply.
Wiz: Once Jr realizes he can't harm Silver due to his heightened durability, he'd probably try to avoid him. If he can do that long enough, Silver will need to retreat for rings, which pretty much reveals the weakness to Jr. Once he does learn of the weakness, he can use abilities like teleportation, air manipulation, & magnetism manipulation to avoid or distract Silver. Heck, he could potentially use Mecha Jr's magnet to steal all of the rings for himself, or use his Magic Paintbrush to knock rings out of Silver, the same way he knocks Bros. Attacks out of the Mario Bros. In short, his greater intelligence & arsenal combined with equal strength & speed allow him to counter Super Silver.
Sphere Robot: With so few advantages, Silver really didn't have a chance here. Jr was so much stronger, faster, smarter, & more versatile than Silver, that the hedgehog could only delay the inevitable before meeting defeat.
Vrokorta: It was definitely a close call, but Jr had just what he needed to pull through.
Boomstick: I guess Silver's sliver of hope was but a dream.
Wiz: The winner is Bowser Jr.
Due to changes, the below poll is a bit odd. Just vote "Neither" if you disagree, & anything else if you agree.

Description[]
Mario Vs. Sonic! Two gifted, arrogant, naive children enter the arena--only one will come out alive! Both prefer to keep at a distance and use alternative means within their environments to fight. Who's the best camper?
Interlude[]
Boomstick: Ahh, childhood. Such a graceful time period in our lives where everything seems so much easier, full of life and wonder.
Wiz: Yes, the youthful days sure are splendid. Varied displays of creativity coupled with a vivid and wild imagination... It's a shame they often lend themselves toward naiveté and stubbornness.
B: Children are also highly annoying and persistent--you can count on me NEVER having those... things. You do have to admire their dedication and perseverance in the face of adversity, though. Put them up to a task, and they'll do anything in their power to attribute toward the cause! Much like our next combatants, their naivety can be their greatest boon... or it can bite them in the ass and REALLY screw them over!
We're talking about none other than Bowser Jr., the petulant son of Lord Bowser.
B: And Silver the Hedgehog, time-traveling psychokinetic from the distant future.
It's our job to analyse their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win, a Death Battle.
Bowser Jr.[]
Enter Prince Bowser Koopa Jr., or Bowser Jr. for short. His debut was in Super Mario Sunshine, where he dons an alter ego that he used to cause ruckus all over Isle Delfino, effectively ruining Mario's planned vacation. Ever since, he's been helping Bowser in his plots to take over the Mushroom Kingdom, continuing to be a menace toward Mario and friends. From what we know from offical bios and descriptions, Bowser Jr. Is the only true biological child of Bowser, Dark Lord of the Koopas, and he's been spoiled greatly by his dad.
B: Awww! Say what you will about Bowser, there's no denying that he cares for his son. I guess even evil overlords can genuinely possess the capacity for compassion... unlike my dad.
Moooving on, being granted pretty much everything he wanted likely led to Jr. adopting the current trend of him using machines to fight rather than fighting Mario one-on-one; he's likely inexperienced and possibly lazy, albeit it hasn't stopped him from continuing to learn and develop as time goes on, always eager to do battle with Mario as many times as it takes.
B: Guess it's just more fun to test out your fancy toys by using them for total annihilation and world domination, evil genius style!
Right. Naturally, being the son of Bowser has its perks despite those setbacks. He has learned a few abilities that his father has, like being able to breathe fireballs and homing ones that can bounce along the ground or set it ablaze. He can also utilise magic, such as when he revived Bowser in New Super Mario Bros. DS, petrified Daisy into stone in Super Sluggers, could use a varied assortment of spells that could increase his defences and resistances as well as raise his attack power in Puzzles and Dragons, and even has supersonic screams that can magically shrink his foes and lower their stats for a short period of time. There's also Deny, an ability that lets him automatically stop an opponent's special attack provided he reacts in time, as well as having the means to manipulate time and project/manipulate energy in Mario Tennis Aces. It's also been said and very much been proven that despite the tumultuous pride he exudes about his own abilities, he's very capable and has inherited his father's strength in his diminutive body. It goes so far to where Jr. can significantly grow stronger and refine his abilities as a leader throughout the span of a day, going from a gifted but inexperienced fighter that was only barely able to match Roy while exceeding his body's limits in the process, to a respected and experienced ruler who could contend with his own father for weeks, with a direct acknowledgement that he's grown way stronger as a result.
B: Yup! The little guy is capable of dragging his father along the ground, and Bowser is a very thick Koopa, likely weighing around hundreds of pounds to thousands of pounds at maximum. He also can fights his father 800+ times consecutively for weeks without end in Bowser Jr.'s Journey, proving he's comparable. Bowser Jr. can also tuck into his shell and slam it down into the ground, producing a damaging AoE shockwave along with another feat of strength involving him using a hammer to whack the ground, causing a large shockwave that's more effective against ranged characters. In New Super Mario Bros. DS, we also see him command Petey Piranha like in Sunshine, except this time, he proves his superiority by damaging Petey with a stomp while the overgrown plant is asleep! Talk about dirty. Probably his most impressive displayed feat of strength, though, was being able to hold and toss a large, likely iron cannonball at Mario and Luigi in Paper Jam.
Given this cannonball's relative size next to Mario and Luigi, a likely estimate for the mass of this metallic wrecking ball by finding the volume of the sphere would be around almost a thousand tons!
B: And that's not all! Bowser Jr. has been a genuine threat to Mario ever since his debut! And if you all remember, Mario can nonchalantly punt an entire million ton castle like it's nothing and drag around hundreds to thousands of tons to give a Golden Chain Chomp it's bath.
Mario also has feats of defeating Bowser, who tanked the universal reset according to a Prima guide along with being the only character who was shaken after the event occurred, as if suggesting he survived it. Even if you consider that an outlier, Bowser was able to survive falling into multiple black holes, of which the one in Galaxy 2, as seen from the World Maps and gameplay while aboard Starship Mario, seems to dwarf entire galaxies from the Worlds prior. There's also the fact that the World Map showed a gradual progression of distance and scope as you reached each World, with a planet being the first World, a solar system being the second, a nebula being the third, a galaxy being the fourth, a galaxy cluster as the fifth, and finally the supermassive black hole at the center of the universe in the sixth.
B: Even if you don't buy these stats, Bowser Jr. should at least be around the strength levels of Yoshi and Kamek, who could turn Raphael the Raven into a star, as well as base Mario and Luigi being able to beat bosses empowered by Power Stars or other macguffins which can create realms full of stars within them. Hell, Peach was able to come out of Galaxy 2's black hole without a single scratch, and Bowser Jr. regularly manhandles her! He also used the Grand Stars to power his mechs, too.
Correct, and strength isn't all that the heir has to back him up in a fight. In fact, he's most often noted and shown to be more nimble and faster than his father.
B: What?! A turtle being anything but slow? Say it ain't so!
Indeed, Bowser Jr. is very quick on his feet. He's able to pull his shell over his body quicker than Mario can land a jump in New Super Mario Bros. DS.
B: In that same game, Mario's jumps were actually faster than lightning from Lakithunder! Holy shit! That's quicker than my ex-wife when she smells a batch of brownies!
Uh-huh... Naturally, that pegs Junior's reaction times at being capable of reacting to mach speeds.
B: But wait, there's more! He's also able to generally keep up with Mario, who's able to fly at MFTL+ speeds in the Galaxy games and fight Bowser juiced up by a Grand Star, who could tag a MFTL spaceship and resisted the pull of a black hole that we can clearly see pulling in small strands of light. Either that, or they're stars or galaxies, which makes it an insane feat no matter how you look at it!
Bowser Jr. was also able to harness the power of the Grand Stars for his mechs, which could allow two spaceships the ability to travel to the center of the galaxy and universe as well as, as Lubba put it, "travel through space and time."
B: There have also been a few apparent masters of space and time that Mario defeated as well, along with Mario dodging the magic blasts of Magikoopas, which were described as flashes of light in the SMB3 manual, as well as having dodged numerous lasers--that's one fast plumber!
Actually, Boomstick, according to Miyamoto, Mario is no longer a plumber anymore.
B: What?! But... but why?
Who knows. He's made quite a bit of questionable statements in his time, such as actually calling himself the mother of Bowser Jr.
B: WHAT THE FUCK!?!
Yeah... Best just to move on from that. *cough* Err, let's not forget another important category here: durability. As most Mario characters, Junior can survive being stomped on by Mario, crushed by a large, likely million ton castle, and even being crushed flat by a Papercraft in the likeness of Peach, which likely garners him a bit of a healing factor--enough to survive his brain and heart being heavily damaged or outright turned into organ soup from the examples given. He also has a few healing options with his magical abilities, with the highest HP recoveries being around 50-70% of his health being regained.
B: Oh, that's right! And the small prince has also survived plenty of beatings from the Mario Bros., but is so resilient that he can get up time and time again and make a tactical retreat just to fight them again with a new strategy in another world. He's even survived his own mechs exploding in his face as well as his own attacks and equipment being used against him.
Even beyond his physicals, the young koopa has used many of mechs and forms of equipment over the years, possibly having among the largest arsenals of all the villains in his verse, aside from his own father, of course. Most notably, he has been seen in many kinds of airships, the Koopa Clown Car, a large, vaguely clownish mecha named Megahammer, and a large, fortified tower called the Boomsday Machine.
B: Ahem... Aren't you forgetting something?
Ahhh, right! How could I have forgotten the esteemed Junior Clown Car? This small vehicle may not look like much, but it packs one serious punch! Capable of flight, functioning as a submarine in water complete with a protective dome it can produce even when outside of water, a kart on land, and even capable of achieving space flight; this is one seriously versatile vehicle.
B: Even more than that, Wiz, the Junior Clown Car has a seemingly endless supply of various sorts of items and projectiles he can throw from it, a very great resistance toward physical damage, ice, fire, and even lava, and can even produce extendable arms that can beat the shit out of people and shatter stone!
Let us not forget that the Junior Clown Car also seems to have some form of sentience, or A.I., as it can be seen making faces during attacks and seems to generally share it's mein with the user. Speaking of interconnectivity between it and it's rider on a mental level, it can be seen perfectly moving in-sync with Bowser Jr., possibly showing off some form of limited technopathy or perhaps a form of ferrokinesis, the ability to manipulate metal. This is even supported by a few other examples, like Jr. commanding a giant, mechanical hand of an airship with motions of his arm and hand as well as commanding the floor of his airship to fall with a gesture. If all else fails, he can summon one from a little device that can bring in rejuvenating food for him as well.
B: Yeah, Bowser Jr. is like a badass Mario version of Doctor Robotnik, owning all sorts of gadgets and gizmos which he uses to help his father take over the Mushroom Kingdom, or even the entire freakin' universe!
Furrhermore, Bowser Jr. also has access to many items, with probably the most infamous example being the Magic Paintbrush, a creation of Elvin Gadd's that can make anything Jr. draws come to life through his wishes. He used this tool primarily to vandalize an entire island in an attempt to frame Mario and get him thrown in jail, but this ultimately backfired when the law enforcement on the island afflicted Mario with the punishment of cleaning the graffiti as a form of communal service. However, it's got a pretty versatile set of graffiti it can make, with the properties of those types of graffiti being for the most part different among them. The biggest showings of his graffiti are being able to corrupt a whole kingdom of cat citizens, being able to bypass Mario's invincibility power-ups, making sentient bells and even Lighthouses sick and possibly luring the bells into a deep slumber in a petrified state. Graffiti can also make clones of characters like Luigi, seal items away, and even manipulate the weather. He's also used it as a makeshift tennis racket and baseball bat for deflecting projectiles, impairing other's visions, using it to tickle foes to distract them long enough to steal an item from them, and even as a ranged weapon that can shoot multiple globs of goop at opponents which are particularly more effective against flying opponents.
B: Jeez! Could you imagine cleaning up an entire island of that thing's icky stuff in the blistering heat? That's cold!
...that's an oxymoron, Boomstick.
Hey! Are you calling me a moron, Wiz!?
Wha...? *Wiz sighs and runs a hand vertically across his face in a disgruntled fashion* Why is this my job? Anyways, back to the analysis at hand, he also has been seen with a blue bandana that can magically turn him into Shadow Mario, a seemingly liquefied doppelganger of Mario that he used to cause blame to be put on Mario through committing vandalism under the appearance of Mario.
B: The Piantas must be colorblind or something not to notice the difference between a blue liquid Mario and a solid, red and blue Mario.
Oh, definitely. Also while assuming this form, he can teleport across large distances, levitate/fly, and even... extend his tongue?
B: Woahhoho! I wonder where that tongue's been!
You and millions of immature children around the globe, Boomstick. Shadow Mario can also fragment his body into tiny particles, form a ball of seemingly intangible energy, and can even reassume his physical Mario form again, which is likely a form of regen that should be considered when talking about the form. More over, it can also shapeshift and change Jr.'s physiology to match that of others. It also could intercept others whom have undergone teleportation, as evident by the numerous cutscenes within the game of Mario being transported to a level and Shadow Mario seemingly being able to sense this and stealing the F.L.U.D.D. away mid-teleport. Why is this important, you ask?
B: Uh, actually, I didn't-
Well, various Secret areas within the game seem to take place in a vast expanse of deep space full of stars. Ignoring the hints and evidence that these were likely Shadow Mario's creations as a way of testing Mario, that would logically require said teleportation or whatever method of transportation Mario underwent to be FTL by distance and implied timeframes alone. You can't say they're instantaneous, either, because otherwise you'd be claiming Shadow Mario intercepted an instantaneous teleport. These also don't have a set destination, as Shadow Mario grabs F.L.U.D.D. and disappears into a seperate direction from Mario, never appearing in the Secret levels at all.
B: Shadow Mario also seems to have an implied ability to control water, since he can make the water beneath him ripple in Pinna Park, as well as him being at the Plaza at the time of a large flood. Many locals state it "suddenly came down" and then also "suddenly receded" after you chase Shadow Mario inside of Corona Mountain. It's an almost impossible event, and only one thing, or person, in the game had magical abilities. Also, Shadow Mario is seemingly weak to pressurized water from F.L.U.D.D., but can swim in regular waters just fine and dandy. How that works is beyond me.
Well, it's mostly likely a specific weakness he has, as Shadow Mario is invulnerable to any physical means of attacks and instead harms Mario should he so much as touch him. The F.L.U.D.D. itself is also capable of producing water that can interact with incorporeal Boos and Wind Spirits who can phase through walls as well as activate magical portals with it's water. Oh, and also pressurised water applies more physical damage than a body of benign water, as it's commonly used as a means of cutting into stone in real life.
B: Huh... would you look at that.
In his appearances, Junior has shown many resistances to certain abilities as well, with his arsenal even helping him resist a few. Naturally, Jr. has shown he can brush off:
- Paralysis
- Being frozen
- Heat/Lava
- Being electrified
- Being crushed
- Can tank the spray from Yoshi in Sunshine as Shadow Mario and Magikoopa's magic attacks in base of which both have shown to transmute objects hit
- Can only briefly get shrunken when hit by lightning in Bowser Jr.'s Journey
- Has adjusted to different planet's and even mini star's gravities
- Naturally seems to not be affected by his Graffiti's effects, which includes some Mind Manipulation
- Has used Power Stars and Grand Stars before to power his machines, of which Power Stars can induce Maddening, Empathic, and Corrupting abilities and he wasn't affected
- Note: Even if you argued they powered the machines so he would naturally be unaffected, Prankster Comets which are highly implied to be similar to, if not the same as, Power Stars, could effect entire galaxies and collecting the Power Star would undo their effects; Grand Stars are much more powerful and should have a larger range. Bowser Jr. also had to put the Stars into his machines so he had to have had them physically at some point. Moreover, Bowser with the Power Stars planned to use the power they gave to turn the Painting World's inhabitants into monsters in his army, showing impressive range.
- Has used Power Stars and Grand Stars before to power his machines, of which Power Stars can induce Maddening, Empathic, and Corrupting abilities and he wasn't affected
- Can survive without Paint in Origami King, granting a likely resistance to Conceptual Manipulation and possibly Life/Death Manipulation, Soul Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Biological Manipulation, and more thanks to all the effects having no color made in Color Splash.
- Thanks to his newfound ability to warp as well as portal creation he likely can resist being dumped in other dimensions or anywhere other than the battlefield
- Can survive in space
- Shadow Mario via being a liquefied organism would likely allow Junior additional resistances to things like Biological Manipulation due to having no visible organs, which includes certain forms of mind manipulation that target a brain among others
- Shadow Mario being able to rest inside his graffiti and stand near and even spawn it at his feet may give him a resistance to it's BFR/Sealing effects
- Reassembling himself after deconstructing himself may give a possible resistance to matter manipulation due to simply being able to reform his parts
- Through his Enhanced Senses and likely ESP/Clairvoyance for being able to sense hidden objects and inexplicably know where Mario will be to take the F.L.U.D.D. away in certain levels of Sunshine, stealth, invisibility, and illusions are probably not the best strategies to use against Bowser Jr. If that weren't enough, Jr. has displayed telepathic ability when hearing Roy's thoughts in Jr.'s Journey, and this wasn't an active ability he was aware of, so he may just randomly hear a person's thoughts mid-battle
Assuredly, Bowser Jr. is one tough child, and it's clear he's very competent for his age, possessing a versed knowledge in architecture, mechanics and machinery, technology, leading an army, magic, and apparently even the medical field.
B: What!? The kid's a doctor?!
I know, right!? *Wiz then sucks in an air of breath before letting it out in an attempt to calm himself and maintain his composure* But, regardless of what we think, it's quite evident Bowser Jr. is intelligent; offical bios and descriptions have even stated he may even be more tactical and brainier than his father. Conversely, Bowser Jr. is still a growing and learning boy, meaning he's prone to tantrums, losing his temper, and isn't as experienced in a fight as most of his mortal enemies.
B: Yeah, the dude's got a wicked arsenal, but that same artillery can be self-destuctive and used against him, making it a bit of a double-edged sword. For as smart and capable as he is, he sure is reckless.
In spite of all of this, Bowser Jr. has always strived to improve and learn from his defeats, always eager to fight that Mario again, time and time again, all for the appraisal of his father, Bowser.
B: All that being said, he's definitely proven himself as one of Bowser's most capable and powerful adversaries. Bowser Jr. is certainly one s-hell of a turtle!
Bowser Jr.: "I’m gonna show you just how strong I am!"
Silver[]
In a dark, desolate wasteland of lava caused by the personification of the Flames of Disaster, Iblis, a young hedgehog took it upon himself to try and uncover the mystery behind this monster's origins, constantly doing battle with the creature to keep it at bay.
B: Wait, isn't that the retconned origin?
Yes, but it stands to reason that more often than not, the future is in ruins because of the ignorance of the past. That's why our favorite esper, Silver the Hedgehog, has to constantly travel to the past--to fix the mistakes of his ancestors and in doing so, change the future for the better. Also, it just sounds SO much cooler than "He travels to the past to see his friends and have some fun."
B: Right you are, Wiz. This badass time warrior has traveled back-back to the past time and time again because Sonic & friends seem to always screw the hell up! It's gotta be a pain in the ass to constantly have to right their wrongs. Speaking of which, how old is this kid again? The only way for this all to make sense if it's the same Silver is if his travels through time take a few years or months in Sonic's time and he comes back to yet another hellhole, because otherwise he'd be WAY older than he is.
That's... actually a fairly logical and sound reasoning, Broomstick. I'm proud of you!
B: Aww, thanks, Wiz. Must be all this Brain Juice I've been drinkin'. Says it helps add 1 IQ point with every ounce!
...and the joy was short-lived. Anyways, Silver is an apparently 14 year-old hedghog who hails from a time period where psychic abilities are the norm. His travels through time have also said to have destabilized him from the time continuum itself, which, to put it in rudimentary terms, means all the paradoxical ramifications of time travel don't apply to him.
B: Those big, fancy words aren't "rudimentary" at all!
...These psychic powers allow him to utilize an ability called Psychokinesis, which is generally synonymous with telekinesis.
B: Silver's psycho-gahoozits allow him to manipulate his surrounding environments with just the power of his mind. This allows him to grab, crush, throw, levitate, and repel objects or projectiles.
More than that, Silver's powers likely give him enhanced senses, as he can manage perfectly fine within dark environments and, as Team Sonic Racing hinted towards, can give him a general "feel" for a situation where he knows that something bad will happen, just not on an exact level. Blaze likens this to "precognition" due to making a presumption that perhaps his travels through time have bestowed him with a sort of sixth sense. This bad feeling plagued him throughout the game, and surely enough, something bad did end up happening.
B: Silver can also project and manipulate his psychic energies into all sorts of stuff like blades that leave a devastating cut, a pulse wave that can paralyze and stun both people and machines, bubbles of psychic energy he can use to trap small things like missiles within and then crush them, as well as can cover his body in psychic aura that allows him to fly and in some cases, function as a sort of forcefield that can help lessen the damage he receives.
Silver also has the ability, albeit limited, to manipulate minds and enemy's perceptions through charging up his psychic energies and letting out a wave of psychic aura that disorients opponents and leaves them with vertigo, provided they're in range.
B: Silver can also somehow use his ESP to... warp through space? What?! How?!
I'm... honestly not sure. He can also phase through attacks with the Teleport Dash.
B: Silver's powers have also helped him perform some insane feats of strength. He can immobilze Sonic and Shadow, although Shadow seemingly can break out of it in gameplay. He can also bend thick bars of metal with low effort, stun a large, building-sized monster like Iblis through throwing projectiles, and perhaps his greatest feat of strength: Gathering gargantuan amounts of debris, rubble, and wreckage and forming it into a large ball many times his own size in an attempt to mow down Sonic--he called this Meteor Smash.
Given the ball's height and width compared to Silver, as well as assuming the main component is the concrete rocks with the metallic parts mainly composing the outer shell, a likely low-end estimate for this sphere of junk's mass is around hundreds of tons! Another calculation we can likely get a number from is for the kinetic energy of this ball, and given it can keep up with Sonic, it can range anywhere from .25 tons of TNT, to as high as petatons of TNT equivalent, which is enough to destroy continents!
B: Through powerscaling, Silver is able to compete with Sonic and Shadow, both of whom can defeat beings empowered by the Chaos Emeralds in base. It's worth noting that the Chaos Emeralds are said to "transform thought into power" and possess unlimited energy, and while the results can vary, the energy extracted from all seven or even six can bust a whole freaking planet or the Moon! Sonic and even his friends could also tank a black hole in Colors and the Riders series. Given the size of these, they COULD net zettatons worth of energy, but whether or not they're legit is up in the air. Beyond this, though, Sonic can output kilotons of energy in his battle with Metal Sonic and could defeat a machine that apparently absorbed all the life energy off of the surface of the planet.
Silver is also extremely durable, being able to withstands beatings from Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles, and Metal Sonic as well as tanking his own Meteor Smash attack.
B: As for his speed, well, he can keep up with the fastest in his series, and Sonic has been dubbed faster than light by a few sources, though these claims are up for debate. Beyond that, Sonic could briefly outrun a black hole and is casually able to reach massively hypersonic speeds anyways.
As of recent times, it seems Silver is now capable of running at speeds that are capable of keeping up with the rest of the cast and even beating them in races, but his flight speed is more than capable of keeping up with a boosting Sonic, anyways.
B: As far as an arsenal is aware, Silver really doesn't need it. Mostly because his psychic abilities already have a good coverage. That being said, though, he has had access to a few items, like the usual power-ups of Speed Shoes, Invincibility, and Shields from the Sonic series. He's even had access to a varied assortment of status-effect-inducing items from the Rivals series, with one of these items allowing him to blur the vision of a foe through causing an illusion or something like that.
Silver has also been seen with Chaos Emeralds, which grant the user the ability to manipulate time and space, not that he really needs it for the space part, though.
B: Silver might be able to use other abilites the Chaos Emeralds have displayed before as well, but this is currently unconfirmed. Although, it's a bit strange and totally handwaved, but Silver is able to travel 200 years into the past and back through some unexplained means. Chaos Emeralds have shown the ability to do this as well with two users.
Silver also has the ability to use the seven Chaos Emeralds to achieve a Super transformation, allowing him to increase his strength a thousandfold as well as enhance his psychic abilities even more. This also means he's capable of reaching speeds far greater than light.
B: However, while his Super Saiyan form sure is cool, Silver hasn't really used the Emeralds for himself before, even in the retconned 06, and almost never has access to them on the regular. Because of the retcon, it's likely he doesn't even know he can harness Chaos Energy, meaning even if he did somehow achieve this form, he'd probably be inexperienced with it as a first-time user. Despite this, though, he was able to help Super Sonic and Super Shadow take down Solaris, a god who was eating time and whole dimensions for breakfast!... only when fully charged up on the max amounts of positive energy required, though. Normally, they're able to contend with weapons and enemies charged by things that can destroy the Earth!
Take Dark Gaia, for instance. It was a deity capable of fragmenting the planet upon it's awakening, which Eggman sped up said process through using the Chaos Emeralds to power a beam that dissected the planet. Some calculations done among the internet have pegged the energies required to be in the ninatons of TNT, which is enough energy to destroy Uranus and Neptune!
B: Jeez! That's one seriously powerful rodent!
Indubitably. Though while his psychic powers are certainly great, they come with a catch. If Silver exerts himself too much, he can exhaust his energy supplies, which forces him to recharge and recuperate, leaving him more sluggish and vulnerable.
B: Yeah, and the kid's focus is also hilariously stacked against him, as he can leave himself open for attacks by levitating objects, charging up his more powerful abilities, as well as can be forced into his own Meteor Smash; what an idiot!
Actually, he's just very single-minded and naive, which also happen to be other faults of his. He's almost as gullible as Knuckles and happens to be very one-track-minded, often resulting in fits of recklessness. However, while those may be true, an even truer fact lies within his ability to constantly overcome the many trials he faces in his travels.
B: Eeyup! Silver is one seriously resourceful dude, always striving to push forward and fight no matter how hopeless the task may seem; defying all odds.
Silver the Hedgehog is truly a lawful hero, who proves that the mind is a very powerful weapon and is NOT to be underestimated.
Silver: For the future of the world, I will destroy you!
Intermission[]
Alright, the combatants are set. Which single-minded child will come out on top?
B: Guess it's time for a Death Battlllleeee!!!
Pre-Fight[]
Bowser Jr. was seen frolicking in a field around Bowser's Castle, his arms extended behind him as he ran around and pretended to be a ninja. His playtime was cut short when he stumbled over something cold and hard on the ground, stubbing his toe. He grimaced and began to hold onto his foot in pain, groaning.
"Owie! That hurt! Who's job was it to clean up the fields? Grrr! When I find out, I'll make them- Huh? What's this?" Jr. questioned. The object of his curiosity? A small, shimmering jewel in the shape of a sky blue diamond. He could feel a strong sense of fortune coming from the retrieval of this gem, so he wiggled his digits with the full intention of snatching it up. He then inched his scaled claws ever so closer to the beauty laid in front of him...
"Stop right there, evildoer!"
Junior halted in his tracks; the voice was one he hadn't heard before, it spoke with such a strong sense of clarity and assurance, and it was lighter than what he was used to. Never being one to fear the unknown, though, Junior turned around to face the inscrutable voice with repose.
He saw a small, white-gray hedgehog acquitted with blue boots, gloves with a glowing cyan symbol on them, and fancy golden bracelets on his wrists and at the top of his boots with small channels carved into them with which that same cyan hue emanates. His body flickered a wavering cyan aura and he was suspended in midair! Despite the surprising sight, he kept his composure, cocking an eyebrow and shooting the woodland creature an intense expression of inquisition and repulse.
"What're you--some kind of futuristic cop?"
Silver kept his eyes glued on the monstrosity in front of him, a stern and focused disposition. He positioned his left hand in front of him and twisted his torso slightly--bracing himself--while he clenched his right hand into a fist, charging up some psychic energies.
"More like an upholder of justice," he humored, "And you're the monster responsible for causing my future's demise!"
"Wow! Upholding justice by traveling through time and ending things before they start? What an oxy-MORON you are!" Bowser Jr. spat back with a toothy grin followed thereafter by a small chuckle; he quite liked that retort. "First, you need to fix that attitude of yours--I mean, wanting to start a fight with ME?! Bwahahaha! What a joke! I guess the next lesson I'll have to teach you is how to eat a knuckle sandwich, then!"
"I'll make you eat those words, fiend!"
If This Fight Had A Music Track[]
FIGHT!!![]
Silver was the first to make a move, waving his hand in front of him and letting loose a pulse of energy that paralyzed the young Koopa.
"Wha-?! H-Hey! Th-That's not fair!" the young ox-turtle complained whilst he struggled to get out of Silver's tight grasp.
"I told you I'd make you eat those spiteful words of yours. Now, take THIS!" Silver exclaimed, and as he did so, he brought his left arm toward his chest before letting it burst forth with his digits spread out and palm exposed. Jr. was then hit with the full brunt of a psychokinetic wave, sending him flying dozens of meters away and skidding along the ground.
The young regent held up a claw to his head, breifly stroking at it in an attempt to alleviate the pain. He thought to himself, "Wow. This guy's something else! But U guess if HE wants to play dirty, then I will, too!" He had just finished his thought when he saw the erinaceidae cleaving through the sky itself in a burst of speed, and their eyes locked--an intense glare fortified with the deep look of dedication was shared between them. While it gave Junior an exhilarating high, Silver could only feel the deepest sensations of anger and hatred seeing that reptillian face staring back at him, and he wanted to make that face suffer. He focused bis energy into a sharp blade--the Psychic Knife--with which he hurriedly shot at the ground. The blade made contact, digging beneath the Earth and disappearing, which Jr. found a little strange, and his thoughts were soon vindicated when the ground started rumbling beneath him. Shortly thereafter, a small fissure erupted and out came the psychic knife to Junior's immediate bewilderment.
"Wahhh!" the young hybrid shrieked, soon performing a flip followed by a shell spin to quickly leap over and zip toward the ground, narrowly avoiding the sharp projectile. After doing so, he quickly looked to see where the young hedgehog was, soon spotting him directly above his head, floating ominously.
"Hey! Get down here so I can flatten you into a pancake, you clown!"
"I don't think so," Silver interjected, his voice cold and demeanour unwavering. "YOU'RE gonna come to me!"
"Huh?" was all the royal highness could get out before the ground started to undulate and tremor, as if it was cowering before the might of a greater force--and it was. It soon adopted a faint, cyan hue that shrouded the surrounding area in a transparency akin to a ghastly mist, Junior thought; likely because he admittedly was feeling a bit fearful in that moment. And his fears were soon realized when he made the connection that the same template of color was enveloping the small critter who opposed him, sending a jolt of frantic adrenaline throughout his body as he suddenly began to run on instinct.
Silver immediately noticed this and screamed, "I won't let you get away!!"
With this, he positioned his right hand to lay his palm flat and facing updward, his index and middle fingers along with his thumb extending outwards while the other fingers were pulled into his palm. He quickly followed this by slightly curling his index and middle finger before jetting them, along with the rest of his hand, upwards in a quick motion.
Bowser Jr. observed the cyan shimmer intensifying into a brighter luminosity all around him followed up by the gravity suddenly becoming much heavier, forcing his body to imbed itself within the dirt and grime before it suddenly end just aa quickly as it began. He tried to get up, but found that a varying case of his body being imbedded as well as the aura acting almost like a thin layer of wrapping paper that he unfortunately got stuck under acted against him and foiled his attempts. He then saw Silver, floating slowly towards him in an imposing fashion that Jr. couldn't help but feel a shiver creeping up his spine from. He expected some form of "justice warrior" jabbering again, but what he instead got was surprising.
"Is this some kind of joke?"
Silver's voice was light, and almost soft-spoken. It gave the young overlord an intense perplexion.
"What?? What are you talking about?"
"You."
It was so nonchalantly said and so quickly spoken that it ignited a harsh flame in Bowser Jr.'s body, leaving him chafed.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY!?? Choose your next words very carefully, bub! I swear, I'll pummel YOU into the ground and then we'll see who's the joke around here! I'll have you know I'm plenty strong! Dad even says so!" Jr. couldn't help it at this point--once he gets started, it's challenging to placate his loud, blabbering mouth.
The incessant ramblings started to give Silver a migraine. "Quit your whining! I just don't get how someone like you could've caused such a lasting effect on my future!"
The prince rolled his eyes and scoffed at the disbelieving hedgehog, "Uh DUH! It's called the Butterfly Effect, you dummy! Ever heard of it? Oh, no, you couldn't have because you're too DUMB to grasp the concept, you loser!"
"Arrggh! Stop! That's enough! For the sake of my future, I'll end you here and now. Ceast to exist, you foul creature!"
Junior had no time to rebut as Silver constricted into himself and unfurled, releasing a massive blast of energy that sent the large mound of dirt Jr. was imprisoned on careening through the air and into the ground below, causing a large impact that formed a crater and sent large fragments of rock up into rhe air which cascaded into a constellation of pelting rocks which showered the field in an earthly rain.
Silver spectated his handiwork, glancing around for signs of movement or activity. He observed a small, green and yellow shape in the distance zipping along the fields and rubble, smirking to himself in arrogance.
"I've got you in my sights now! You can't escape from me!"
He then teleported down to where the figure was heading, cutting it off en route. However, Silver noticed something: this wasn't Bowser Jr.! It had two, large eyes, a constantly chomping maw, a key that indefinitely winded, and two oval, yellow-orange feet with which it used to waddle. In an act of curiosity, he drew the small contraption close to him with his telekinesis to observe it, but this proved to be a big mistake when the machine exploded in his face and sent him flying through the air before sliding along the ground. There, he shook his jead and began to stand up, groaning a bit in pain and venting in frustration, "Grr! What a nasty trick! I know you're hiding around here! Show yourself!"
He then noticed another mechanical dwarf approaching him, to which he promptly extended his hand out and ensnared it within an orb of his psychokinesis.
"Hah! You think I'd fall for that again! It's no us-"
BOOM!!!
His snide jeering was quickly cowed by another one of the small machinations ramming into his back, and it was so precisely done that the propulsion sent him flying right into the one he held within his mental grip a few seconds ago, resulting in another explosion that propelled him several meters into the air. From here, he could see hundreds of these things endlessly spawning from what looked like crude scribblings made in their honor--and still no sight of the perpetrator at hand. Before he could fall down into the amass of kamikaze nuts and bolts, though, he took on a cyan outline and began to hover, thinking it would prevent him from the dangers below, but ohhhhh was he in for the fright of his life.
In some unknown section of the land, someone shouted the word, "DENIED!" which caused Silver's energy to miraculously fade away.
"WHAT THE-!?!" Silver panicked, his body now being sent tumbling towards the ground below him, limbs being subjected to the pressures of the harsh updrafts. His mind was sent into a frenzy; his heart pounding away at his chest cavity. He heaved and heaved deep breaths of anguish and apprehension as he made his way toward the ground, clenching his eyes shut tightly and curling up into a ball as the pressures of his jaw clenching tight force the veins in his head to protrude from his skin. He had just accepted his fate when he realized he could-
KABOOM!!!
It was too late. He had briefly forgotten that he could teleport amidst all the terror he felt, choking up in the face of suddenly losing his most dependable ability.
Browser Jr. watched the display of fireworks with a giddy glee, hopping in place through shiftings of his weight from one foot to the other.
"Hee Hee Hee! Hooray! That oughta finish that overconfident jerkwad off," he practically squealed in his cheers, soon twirling a paintbrush around in his hands and proclaiming, "And it's all thanks to my Magic Paintbrush and the hard work of my precious Mechakoopas, too!"
He then stuffed the Paintbrush away into some unknown pockets, jimmied around a bit, and soon brought out a device with which he pressed a few buttons on and promptly pocketed it again. Almost seconds later, a small, white, spherical vehicle with a green propeller on it's bottom and a clown-like mein adorning the exterior alongside a green rim along the top came rushing to his side; also a crane-like claw was protruding from the bottom which encapsulated a big ball of food supplies. It released the food from it's clutches and it rained on top of Junior, who promptly gathered as much of it as he could and stuffed his face with it; swallowing it all and healing him back to tip-top shape. He patted his bulging belly before swiftly hopping into the opening at the top of the vehicle, stating, "Ahhh! That hit the spot! Now c'mon, Clown Car! Let's head back to the castle and tell my Papa how awesome I am!"
Before he could, though, he faltered. He felt it--a surge of energy where the smoldering crater leftover from the Mechakoopa's explosions was. He sighed to himself in exasperation, "Of course; it's never that easy."
He then motioned a finger toward the now eradiated blast zone and the Clown Car began drifting towards that destination. When he got there, he found a heavily fatigued Silver--panting and wheezing while his chest fluff and the tips of his quills where singed with small embers.
"Hhh... Y-You... You can't get rid of me that easily! With the stake of my world on the line, nothing can stop me!" He then clasped his hands together, almost as if in a prayer; focusing. His focus began distorting the space around him, making it shift and curl around before condensing into multiple small swirls which then illuminated a bright yellow as golden rings began to flood out of them and fly into Silver, who's body looked to absorb them and slowly remediate his injuries as an effect. He then overstretched an arm, palm pointed directly at Jr.
"Begone," he grimly stated as Junior and his Clown Car were then forced back a few meters by his ESP.
"Urgh! That's SO annoying! Stop that!" Jr. whined. He then noticed the erinaceidae vanish behind a wavy strand of aura, squinting his eyes and leaning forward in his Clown Car for good measure before bracing himself and shifting around to cover his lateral directions as well as looking to the sky for any signs of his foe. He was then struck with something that rattled his Clown Car from behind, and, growling to himself, he turned on a heel to face the suspect... but there was no one there. Just then, he was struck by yet another blow from behind, and then another, and another, and so on. Junior struggled to locate the source of these blows, his jaw clenched tightly as his face formed a scowl in frustration, however, he then had an epiphany amidst all the commotion, his scowl now curling up into a devilish smile as he threw his arms out with a dainty roar. The Clown Car followed his actions, and soon popped out a pair of limbs complete with boxings gloves on their ends for hands. The Koopa spun around in place while his vehicle did the same, the arms extending outwards to increase their range, and just as the prodigious child thought, there were balls of psychic energy being shot at them which the Clown Car was able to repel them back toward whence they came. He then noticed a cyan figure out in the distance who teleported through one of these blasts. Beaming, Jr. then motioned toward Silver and the Clown Car popped a cannon out of it's mouth, proceeding to bombard the teen with a barrage of cannonballs.
Silver idly evaded these cannonballs with relative ease; either teleporting through them, simply avoiding them, or using a finger to point at one and then promptly return it back to the sender.
"Hah! You think your silly canonballs can stop me? I can keep playing this game all day!"
Junior banged his fist against the Clown Car's rim, his tactics immutable and rigid, accompanied by a very stoic poise. He'd have the Clown Car punch back the artillery that got deflected at him like some exorbitant game of Tennis.
Silver was starting to gain an umbrage for this inauspicious means of attack, contradicting his previous position. He didn't deign approach Jr., but it was clear this was a bit of a symbiotic stalemate. He intended to shut this tyrant down; such was his onus. So, Silver teleported behind Jr., giving him a dainty wave of a hand and feigning a smile before assaulting the Clown Car with a psychic pulse, paralyzing the young monarch along with the sentient vehicle, which soon adorned a contrite demeanour. He then forced the Clown Car over which jettisoned Junior, allowing him to now obtain a firm grasp on the reptillian despot, suspending him in the air.
"Wah! This... This isn't fair! Hurrrghh! Hummmfff!" Jr. decreed, his body trying to break free of the ivory hedgehog's strong force. His impotence was a massive boon for Silver, who somberly shook his head. Sure, the little squirt was odious, but Silver's always had some inner scruples about seeing how helpess his foes are, especially one as young as this.
"That won't do you any good. My ESP has restrained foes the likes of which you'll never have a chance of exceeding; it's hopeless for you."
"Why don't you say that to my face?"
The question made Silver cock his head to the side; muddled. He then motioned the bibbed heir closer to him with the beckoning of his finger and proceeded to pronounce his words with emphasis.
"It's. Hopele- AGGHHH!"
His words were cut off by the sneaky, conniving prince breathing fire directly at his face, thusly throwing Silver's concentration off and relieving Jr. of his grasp.
"Bet you weren't expecting that, idiot!"
Silver growled, his body hunched over while his hands clasped his face and shielded his eyes. "Urggghhh! You dirty... Rotten... No-good...," Silver struggled to find the right words to articulate in his utter anguish, frustration, and exasperation, "...v-villain!" is what he ultimately settled on. His feeble attempts of insulting the royal koopa only led to his enemy's mirth intensifying.
"Gwah hah hah! You're hilarious! Blinded and still giving me the harangue? My victory is practically assured now!" Bowser Jr. then thought for a brief moment before throwing out a proposition. "However, you can bend the knee and beg for mercy and I may just make you a minion--your powers could prove to be very beneficial for the Koopa Troop."
"You must be crazy if you think I'll ever join the likes of you..."
Jr. shrugged, "Alright--It's your funeral."
Bowser Jr. lunged forward with his fists at the ready, but his vision blurred all of a sudden, his centrifugal equilibrium shifting and causing his sense of direction to amalgamate into a whirling cyclone of motion sickness that spun his head into a crazed daze; his attack--needless to say--failed to connect. "W... Woah... What's with this... sudden vertigo? Ugh... my head..."
"Hah! How do you like that!? That was a full-frontal psychic assault on your mind! A petulant brat like you makes for an easy target." . The mentally unstable koopa swore he knew exactly where the voice was coming from, but his surroundings constanrly swayed and the colors blended to the point he couldn't be sure of his footing or position. "Why, you little... Hurghhh!" Jr. cried as he felt a twinge of pain in his head--he could feel it throbbing under intense mental stress. He clenched his eyes shut tightly and tried to mitigate the pain and hone his senses, rubbing his temples and uttering words of encouragement, "C'mon, Junior... You got this! This is nothing! What would Dad think? He'd want you to toughen up and get fired up! This hedgehog guy is abysmal trash that you're gonna take out as a favor to the world, and some measly mind games aren't going to stop you!" As he reassured and motivated himself, a red aura began to form around him, raging intensely like a blazing inferno. His headache started to lessen, and his vision refocused itself--his spirit was now unparalleled, and Silver's attempts to effect his head were met with great resistance, much to his uproarious disbelief.
"Gahhhh! Don't you know when to quit!?!"
"Right back at ya, Pine Leaf!"
The immature heir motioned with his hand and Silver was suddenly bashed from behind... it was the Clown Car! His body jetted toward the young Lord, who pulled out a hammer in time to smash it against him and force Silver to be incarcerated within the ground. He then mimed the act of using a golf club and utilised the hammer as a makeshift driver that ripped Silver from the ground upon contact and sent him flying into a mountain in the distance; the foundation crumbled and the whole thing fell in on itself. Before he could even formulate a judgement on the young hedgehog's status, the debris burst high into the air and subsequently adorned a radiant cyan.
"It's time to end this!!!" Silver was practically seething now--this annoyance had pestered him for FAR too long now. He clapped his hands together and all pf the debris raced toward a central point above him, coalescing into a huge sphere of carnage; it was an extreme juxtaposition from Silver's height, who looked like an ant when compared to this colossal island. "It's time that you pay for your crimes against this world! I'll give you retribution in the form of the destruction and despair you've caused by crushing you under their intense weight!" Silver's hands then clasped together, his index and middle fingers extending outward toward Junior, almost as if casting accusatory blame and judgement; this was then manifested in physical form when he shot smaller pieces of rock toward Junior, using his psychokinesis to mold and sharpen them into jagged spires of rock.
The precocious monarch saw this coming, of course, and hastened into his Clown Car, pressing a button that procured a dome over the open area and fully protecting him from the onslaught, where he pompously laid back and relaxed to spite the efforts of the naive erinaceidae.
It didn't work, though. Instead, Silver smirked and glanced up above the juvenile prince before warping away. Bowser Jr. then followed where his gaze previously traveled and saw the massive bed of rock suspended above him, bits of dirt and grime chipping off and collecting along the ground. The evil progeny was shocked, to say the least; an underhanded maneuver like that was incredibly devious. He didn't have any time to protest when Silver shouted, "METEOR SMASH!" and repelled the object away from him and toward Junior. A petrified "Wahhhh!" was all that his vocal chords could muster up before he and his Clown Car were consumed by the manufactured behemoth of earth.
Silver breathed a sigh of relied--truth be told, he had ran at maximum capacity and his energy supplies were running scarce. He could barely keep himself afloat with his powers, and he was about to lessen them to make a slow descent, but a crunching of rock and a buzzing sound terminated such a thought. Silver gawked in awe as a small parcel of rock burst forth and a glinting spiral of steel was protruding from the hole--it was a drill! And unsurprisingly, but completely terribly for Silver, out popped the Clown Car with Bowser Jr.'s haughty mug.
"NOOO!! That should've finished you!"
"Heh. That's what you thought!" Jr. then pet the rim of the Clown Car before finishing with a couple gentle pats, "Bet'cha weren't counting on this beauty having more tricks up It's sleeve, huh? Now, whadd'ya say I put an end to thia little charade? Not like you have a choice, though!"
Silver was filled with despair, his mind in turmoil as he tries desperately to think of what to do in that moment: his powers too fatigued to keep on relying on them and his other options limited because of that. It all added up inside his head, conglomerating into an intense veil of doubt and negativity that pressed his head with far too much dread. By pure instinct, it all formed into a single action: a blood-curdling scream of one who's accepted damnation. However, Silver's exorbitant thoughts possessed within them the inner desire to right his wrongs; going back in time. And so, with all his might, he was able to enact this, but his power supply was too thin to go back a huge amount--only back a few minutes ago where he began to pelt Jr. with rocks as he set up his Meteor Smash. This was still serendipitous for the esper, as he made sure to send a paralyzing blast of energy at the Clown Car and causing the protective dome to recede as an effect, followed up by him performing the Meteor Smash while Junior was exposed. Silver found no drills coming out this time, and he had actually managed to get to the ground and had started to walk away, heaving heavy breaths.
However, Silver had heard rock crackling behind him and glanced back: the mass had been lifted into the air by Bowser Jr.! The young koopa wore a stern, angry facial expression, and his breaths flared out of his nostrils in columns of smoke with every vigorous exhale. He wasted no time in chucking the large heap of minerals at Silver, who retaliated by projecting his psychic energy onto the maas and immobilizing it before throwing it back at Junior with increased velocity. The small genius smirked, however, and whipped out his Magic Paintbrush, hopping up into the air and glowing brightly before horizontally slicing the air with his brush and causing the large boulder to instantly be coated in a sludge of goop that duplicates into two imitations of pure goop at its left and right sides; this of course was also able to reflect the main projectile as well as send the two others rocketing toward Silver. The hedgehog acted in self-defense and tried to cease the three gargantuan mass's accelerations with his ESP, but he struggled, and just barely was able to stop them before they caused significant forces on impact. Naturally, not being able to fully stop them also meant he had used up the last of his powers, and his body, along with the goop-covered rock and its goopy relatives, fell to the ground. Once on the ground, the balls of goop collapsed and spread out like an oil spill, slickening the land with their multicolored defilement. Unbeknownst to Silver, these puddles seemed to be magical, as they formed such a deep body of liquid that sunk the island of rock as well as began to drag him under as well, his hand reaching out in a vain attempt to grasp just anything he could, even something as impalpable as air; it was a longing, final grasp toward an uncaring and unfulfilling world. Bowser Jr. saw this and snickered. The battle was over--he had won this time.
As Silver drifted down into the sanguine aasortment of blending colors, he ruminated and mulled over his predicament. He couldn't believe that some tiny runt was capable of reducing him to this miserable, pitiful state; his future had depended on him--and he let it down...
No. He refused.
He still had one last option left--an ace in his sleeve. He closed his eyes and began to think heavily about the lives he would impact through accomplishing this task; there'd be billions of happy lives and millions of carefree and easygoing families. He also thought of his friends and the joyous moments he's had with them. The splendor of positive emotions all happening at once awoke something--no, it had summoned something to him: the seven Chaos Emeralds! All brilliantly illuminated with a mystic radiance that Silver could feel washing over him and instilling him with an immense surge of power, drive, and rejuvenation. His fur and psychic aura turmed a pale yellow and his yellow eyes darkened into a vibrant red under their influence, and his face gave a hardened glower--he knew what he'd have to do.
Bowser Jr. kneeled beside the wreckage of his Clown Car in the center of the crater the ball of wreckage had made, a dour expression amidst his large snout as he gave a small whine--he'd have to travel back on foot now, and that was no fun at all.
He had just started his begrudging trudge back to his father's castle when he saw a heavenly light peering out from beneath his sludge, which bubbled furiously and steamed. Shortly after, it erupted like a geyser, sending the sludge barreling into the air before coming back down and splattering the landscape in blotches of it like a grandiose Pollock display. The waterfall of paint receding revealed a flaring, golden hedgehog whose intense scowl shot daggers into Bowser Jr.'s soul, who gulped in apprehension.
Super Silver extended his palm toward the impure prince who immediately became frozen in place; immobilized. He then slammed his hand down toward the ground and Bowser Jr. could only perform a small squeak as his body was sent tunneling through the ground and into the planet's core in a matter of seconds. The holy hedgehog eyed the hole in anticipation; he'd have been duped into thinking it was finished a few times before, but he was prepared this time. An eruption of magma turned lava jetted out of the canal he made, and he soon saw a shell flying toward him which he easily caught in an orb of his psychokinesis, balling up his hand into a fist which effortlessly crushed the shell. Just then, a glob of goop was shot at him, which Silver easily dispelled with a projection of his enhanced psyche, and he saw that these projectiles were coming from inside the blazing column. So he's using the lava as a shield, huh? That's not enough! He then formed a circular shape of PK energy that he placed at the base of the lava, effectively cutting the flow off and making the collumn recede to reveal Bowser Jr., except this wasn't that disgusting deviant he was fighting earlier--no, it was something more humanoid than him. He was somewhat translucent, blue, and had a weird consistency that streamed like paint trickling down a wall; it was a peculiar sight to Silver, who, in his naivety, wanted some answers.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?"
The shape chuckled at Silver, it's voice low-pitched and faded as if speaking from within a container or through a liquid, a sharp disparity between it and the whiny child he faced before.
"It doesn't matter who I am; all that matters is that I'm gonna KICK YOUR BUTT!"
Well... the voice clearly didn't match the maturity of it's possessor. But it was no matter. Silver readied himself for an attack and kept his senses sharp; he didn't know what this guy was capable of, but he wasn't one to showcase any hesitancy in his place. His readiness proved to be an apt decision as the figure suddenly rushed him with blinding speeds that Silver could barely react to. He saw a blurred movement encircling him and, in a very sharp-witted display of quick thought, he produced a forcefield of psychic energy around him to cease any attempts the creature could pull to try and harm him.
The blue man hadn't considered this, but he was also a sharp individual, and so he burst into an array of blue particles before containing themselves in a singular, spherical mass. Silver spotted this and felt strangely uneasy, so he fortified his shield with more ESP, which illuminated the field in a heavenly gold luster. Despite his attempts, however, the ball of shadows held no qualms with simply phasing through the esper's shield, much to Silver's flabbergasted dismay. He gritted his teeth and stanced as the ball began to form the man's silhouette before dissipating to reveal him, now trapped inside the forcefield with Silver... or perhaps it was the other way around.
Silver blasted the shady man with his ESP, but all it did was cause smaller pieces of the man to spray about like water before reforming. The man snickered before suddenly vanishing, which caught Silver by surprise, his eyes widening as he looked around to no avail. The morphing mass of liquid masquerading as a man appeared behind him, but Silver's senses allowed him to pick up on it just in time to catch a fist being throw at him with his hand, but despite his resolve, he was anxious on the inside. Crud! He's too close! He's probably picked up on my wont to fight at a distance and is trying to close the gap between us to test my hand-to-hand! Silver then tried to fix this by spinning his body and throwing the male across the enclosed space, but the fluid fiend elbowed his arm, grabbed it along with his other shoulder after his captured hand's release due to the force he applied, and used it as a foundation for him to fold his lower half up and extend a leg that proceeded to connect with the back of Silver's head with a loud THWACK, sending him scraping along the ground in the complete reverse order of events that Silver had hoped for. Luckily, being nigh-invulnerable had it's perks--while he could still be knocked back by the force of most attacks, most conventional methods of harm no longer sent tremors of pain throughout his body, allowing him a resilience far greater than before. This resulted in a quick recovery from Silver, who grunted to himself in despair. He quickly formed a psychic knife and chopped his hand to send it out toward the sentient pool of liquid, who stood idly and unperturbed as his body was cut in half. Silver tailed this action with a barrage of bright blades that proceeded to cut the stranger into tiny bits and pieces of himself, of which Silver proceeded to encapsulate every single tiny piece in a bubble of his weaponized mental abilities to restrict the regenerative capabilities of his foe and initiate a brief period of calm so that he could process the situation and strategize. He knew most conventional attacks wouldn't do much, so he had to find a way to try and vaporize these droplets, otherwise he would lose the battle of attrition.
Unfortunately, before he could come to a solid conclusion, the concious liquids seem to magically form a drawing of a gust of wind below him, and wouldn't you know it, a living gust of wind materialized from this drawing and shot forth at Silver. Silver knew that he needed all the focus he had to keep the cumbersome threat detained, and focusing on trying to stop the wind and/or being hit by it would allow for a brief period of relief for the monster he trapped. So, he simply projected another barrier around himself in hopes that it would stop the assault and allow him to still remain fixated on the task at hand. To Silver's misfortune, the wind facilely breached his small barricade through phasing through it and causing Silver to be thrown in it's direction a small amount, but it was just enough for the pieces to reform into the imitation of a man before him.
Amger rose within Silver like a steaming kettle, and he shifted his body in preparation to attack, but his foe retaliated before him by suddenly slickening the field in a flood of vile sludge. Silver thought oddly of this, as he was in a perpetual state of flight and could easily avoid the ground, but his befuddlement briskly transitioned into worry as he saw a mass array of small creatures forming out of the grotesque goop--he was creating an army! With this revelation, Silver tensed and crossed his arms together in an act of protection which soon manifested into segmented rings of green psychokinetic energy in front of him. Sure enough, the enemies tried to shoot balls of gunk at Silver while some even leaped at him, which all got caught in his shield of energy. What Silver looked over, however, is how these paintings and paint-like substances infinitely generated mooks, and he soon found himself needing to guard against the likes of many projectiles and even enemies, and considering the Shield of Light took up a good amount of his energy stocks, he knew he had to try and be conservative and resourceful. When enough had collected on his plate, Silver shot them forward with deadly speed, but his attacks where swiftly evaded through the deft use of acrobatics and parkour. Silver could hear the jovial man cheering to hinself as he did so, almost feeling like he was mocking him.
Silver's aura ignited like a flame before he curled up into a compact ball, sharpened his quills, and began to spin at high speeds while dashing forward. Just before he could reach his target, however, he vanished. This greatly confused the ultramarine man, who shifted his weight on one side and scratched at his head in perplexion. However, Silver soon appeared behind him, still in his ball form, and cleaved right through the man like paper before unfolding and stunning the azure man with his ESP. Fowardly, he then twisted his arms in a circular motion as if turning a wheel, and the man's liquid body roiled and became misshapen afterwards. This left the man dazed for a bit as he struggled to gain any footing and stumbled over himself, but he soon broke apart to try and form himself again, but Silver preempted this by summoning an ice power-up to him and then using it on the scattered blobs, freezing them solid. Silver then cheered, performing a loop in midair and finishing it off with a fist thrown in the air.
In spite of his premature celebrations, the small pieces of frozen foe sunk into the goop below, much to Silver's chagrin. He wasn't sure if that had really finished his opposition off, and he really didn't want to enter the liquid in search of the fragments of his victim. So instead, he played it safe by projecting a barrier around him and waiting to see if any odd behavior stirs up.
Meanwhile, inside the liquid, the ice slowly began to dissipate and assimilate with the larger body of liquid's consistency, allowing the particles to join together and form the cerulean hooligan, now sporting red eyes. In his anger, he painted the outlines of a large flower with spotted bottoms, a white orb with a crown atop it's head, a sectioned arrangement of spheres with legs and a flower adorning it's head, and a large squid with a cork in it's mouth.
Silver then eyed the liquid churning, rippling in small sections before caving in and forming a small whirlpool which soon sprouted a crown, a flower, a petal, and a white tip. He furrowed his brows and squinted his eyes to reaffirm his sight, pondering what the blue devil could be planning. He soon saw a ghastly ghoul, a squirming, speckled squid, a putrid, personified plant, and a cantankerous caterpillar pop out of these spots, all fixated on him. He couldn't help but gasp in surprise--they were all humungous! Several times larger than him and all very much bellicose in temperament. The plant began to fly utilising it's petals, while the caterpillar stormed the small confinement and made it tough to maneuver around; the ghost and squid simply stood idly. The coverage among the ground and air from these lackeys were several orders of magnitude greater than their puny relatives, and those were already particularly grating!
Vs. Boss (Super Mario Sunshine Remix)
Silver had just finished dodging the crazed caterpillar when the flying plant shot a huge ball of ooze at him, catching him off-guard, but still managing to volley it back at the flora, who fell prey to his own attack and tumble. Upon hitting the ground, though, it just got back up and began standing like the other three. But wait a second... there seemed to be a large slot machine in front of the poltergeist now. Peculiar. A gust of wind soon formed again and circled the machine before whipping by it and spinning all of the slots, which produced a set of musical notes that shifted in pitches aa it shuffled through. Ultimately, it settled on three question marks, a set of ransom "prizes." The slot machine then sunk into the floor and the spirit vomited 3 sets of creatures into the battlefield. The first set were round, flying creatures with big noses; the second set looked like a pair of blue, spherical ducks; the third set looked like smaller versions of the squid. The flying monsters dived down at Silver, who caught them in his psychokinetic hold, and the squids then released a barrage of ink on Silver, who crossed his arms and created the wall of energy from before to halt each and every one of their projectiles. The plant then twirled around and spawned a tornado that swept through the small domain, sweeping up some of the goop and enemies and having them suspened in the air and flinging about; this only resulted in more things Silver had to catch in his hold. Grimly, the tornado as well as the wind gust were now headed towards him. This, along with the endlessly spawning minions and a few of those unrelenting in their projectiles spewing created a massive disadvantage for Silver. He then vaguely saw a white object come into view from his peripherals and quickly shot his head over to see a smaller ghost nonchalantly approaching him with a frivolous grin! In this new angle, he also could spy some movement even further beyond that, with spawns now flanking him from abaft! The immense amount of pressure led him to come to only a single conclusion...
Silver dropped the shield and hastily extended his arms outwards, soon grunting as he expelled an omnidirectional concussive blast that obliterated the smaller foes and sent the sturdy ones away from him. This also dispelled the tornado and wind as well as repelling any projectile that was shot at him. He also found that this briefly knocked the lengthy insect over, where it fiercely flailed it's limbs while on it's back. He used this opportunity to pick the thing up and use it as a long-range weapon of sorts, bludgeoning the plant and squid with it and clearing out waves of the smaller foes that spawned. The ghost was crafty, however, as it summoned the slot machine during the midst of one of these swings which landed and sent the slots a-whirling. Silver motioned forward in an attempt to destroy the slot machine, but the plant intercepted and bashed its head against the weaponized bug, which buyed enough time for the slots to stop... but they were all different. This caused the undead menace to produce bubbles that multiplied and quickly spread throughout the compact arena and focused in on Silver, but he simply waved his hand and the bubbles were all dissipated. He soon retaliated by pulling his clenched fist in toward him with a twist, which straightened the long caterpillar out as it begam to suddenly spin like a drill. Silver's eyes were drawn to the spotted plant, affirming his target as he then thrust his fist forward, launching the cocoon of destruction forward until-
THUD!
Silver gasped--his breath had been knocked out of him! It was a flanking projectile, and he cursed himself for being so single-minded. This also meant that his grip faded away and the caterpillar was allowed to reunite with the ground. He turned and craned his neck back to get a glimpse of his back, and he saw streaks of white alongside a dark brown staining his back. It was the same as the stuff on the ground, and he oddly felt like his body was growing heavier and weaker all of a sudden. He went to try and eject it from his body using his aura, but he was met with a huge ball of the substance being regurgitated at him from the plant's gaping maw. He performed a lateral loop to evade it, but was then met with anothet one, and another... and another ad infinitum. On occasion, there were entire sentient mushrooms and possessions of other people being shot at him. He noticed that he was getting sloppier and slower with each dodge, and figured he'd have to go on the offensive again, so he minimalized the toll on his ESP by harnessing the physic energy intp the tip of a finger and releasing small repelling blasts targeted at the center of the objects to cease their acceleration and momentum and cause them to drop in place. He then teleported behind the plant and released a dome of energy that forced the plant back, who then turned around and stumbled over itself while it's tongue draped across one of its lips and dangled about. The vertigo clearly was very effective against this creature, and Silver figured it was due to a weak and simple mind. The plant then collapsed to the ground, alive, so Silver fashioned a blade out of his energies and cut the overgrown weed down by the stem, finishing it off. Silver then focused on the other three, but he could only spot two -- the ghost had vanished, but Silver figured this was a good time to recuperate, as he could easily deal with the caterpillar and the squid seemed... Spaced out. But to be fair, it's likely immobile because it's a marine creature and not used to being on solid ground, which Silver found odd since the ground was made of the residue on his ba-
Oh! His back!
Silver coiled into a ball and spun in place at high speeds, which was able to finally shake the grime off of him, although now his fur was a bit matted. But there was no time to focus on aesthetics--it was a fight, and a fight he was determined to win! Naturally, Silver focused on another opponent, this time focusing on the bug who needed squashing, and he easily lifted the large bug up and then spaced his limbs apart, which resulted in the caterpillar's sections being separated and ripped apart. Silver then cast the remnants into the magical pool of waste below him and the pieces littered the grounds.
And then there was one.
He approached the giant squid with caution, making note of it's long tentacles, and simply floated in front of it at a distance. He formed a ball of energy and threw it at the squid, who blocked with one of it's tentacles at the price pf the limb becoming flattened. Silver then eyed the cork in it's mouth and used his psychokinesis on it to rip it out. To his disarray, the squid roared and slammed all of it's appendages down, narrowly missing Silver at full length. Silver proceeded to then produce a concussive blast followed shortly after by a psychic knife that wedged through the air and connected with the squid's large top. This slammed the invertebrate against the dome they were in and flattened it, and the slash produced a scratch on the squid, who began to ooze a black, tar-like liquid from the cut before peeling off of the psychic barrier and drifting down like a feather.
Silver figured that was the last of them, so he began to vehemently snarl whilst giving a snooty grimace toward the sludge below him.
"Rrrggh! I know you're in there somewhere, you coward! Come out and face your final judgement, you rotten world-ender!" Silver harshly decreed.
As if in response, he saw a bubbling section of the liquid, his palms channeling intense amount of psychic energy as he prepared for the mysterious figure to return. What he didn't expect, though, was that this was a distraction and he had been nailed by a huge sphere of slime from behind, which also forced him onto the ground where he began to slowly sink in. Before he could, though, he was rammed into by something large, and this ragdolled him across the playing field, where he was subsequently spiked into the ground. He tried to stand but found no solid ground to stand on, so instead he refined his psychic auras into a small, circular platform beneath him which he raised above the thick liquid, now looking as if surfing on top of it. He saw the assailant waving it's leaves about as it gave a big, toothy grin. Unsurprisingly, Silver was surprised and taken aback--he was sure he cut off the beast's head, but here he was standing in front of him without a scratch! The caterpillar was also stomping about in it's madness, which only made him even more disgruntled.
"Wh-what are you guys!?"
Silver then felt a strong smack against his back, sending him barreling at the plant, and the varyinf angles allowed him to see the perpetrator behind that assault--it was the squid! Why won't these things just stay dead!?
He was then engulfed by the large, sentient weed and sent to it's stomach, where he stopped himself before falling into the stomach acid and vented his frustrations through a groan. "All right, you big pest! Let's see you take this!" Silver shouted before curling into a ball and launching directly at the stomach lining, completely tearing through it like paper and bursting a hole in the creature's abdomen. This caused the plant to grumble in pain and stumble back as it's leave covered the gaping hole, soon vomiting some of the brown goop before reeling it's head back and producing a shrill shriek before falling to the floor. It's skin hardened into a solid form of the dirty substance before melting away and mixing with the rest of the body of liquid, fading away into obscurity lost among the vast quantity of molecules.
Silver let out a sigh of relief as one burden was lifted off of his shoulders; it was alleviating. Unfortunately, he hadn't any moments to spare, so he quickly spun in place to check his surroundings for anymore surprises and was reminded of the large caterpillar creature. He rushed it with blinding speed and tackled the whole thing into a wall and followed that by using his TK to force the monster against a wall with great compressive force; crushing it. It spewed sand all over like blood before the rest of the body transmorgrified into the substance and faded into dust that soon spotted the brown goop below--it looked oddly appealing with the way the light glistened off of the grains of sand in the mixture, mirroring glitter or sparkles.
"So, that's two down..." Silver reviewed. He contemplated how he'd even kill the ghost for good. And then the squid... he wasn't sure he had finished that large cephalopod off for good. Those were the least of his problems, though--that man was definitely still kicking. Silver had a dirty coat overflowing with that mud on the floor, and he felt his overwhelming power dwindling by the second. What an ill-fated sequence of events.
He went to perform another spinning dash, but was met with a resounding smack that sent him into the liquid, but before he could be submerged, he stopped himself and dashed away. He saw that the squid had resurfaced, and he groaned while rolling his eyes. This was getting excessive and he knew he couldn't last much longer; he's frankly inexperienced with his super state, and had wasted a good amount of his power already. Silver had to be quick and precise, which he wasn't averse toward being
He quickly shot a pulse of psychic energy forward at the creature, who made no effort to dodge and got blown back. Silver then quickly spun his body and drilled right through the large marine animal before veering around and ripping the thing to shreds with repeated attacks, turning the thing into some fresh calamari. He then looked around for any other miracles of rejuvenation, but he saw nothing but brown, white, and the glimmering specks of sand strewn about. He huffed a sigh and released a pulse of energy that shook the gunk off of him and could feel his vigor plateau after having been steadily draining from him for so long. He knew that this had to be the other side's strategy--to effectively wear him down through keeping him busy with an onslaught of enemies and some magical energy-sapping fluid; his attempts to rebel were vain and his time was running out. What he needed to do was act fast and perform a hail mary if he wanted any shot at besting the catalyst for the future's deconstruction.
He clapped his hands together, closed his eyes, and suddenly, the arena they were enclosed within was floating just outside of the roche limit of the Sun. He then warped outside of the death trap and used his psychokinesis to jet the large mass into the Sun with a very small thrust of his palm forward. He witnessed as the battleground disintegrated upon immediate contact with the surface of the burning ball, but he wasn't completely sure that was the end just yet. There was something niggling at his judgment which disabled his sense of finality, yet he saw no signs of anything living or non-living resurfacing from the nuclear excess of the large space reactor. With this, his senses were eased and he let himself exhale a breath he wasn't even aware he had withheld, and he now had started his journey back home.
A solar flare roared behind him which he swiftly turned around for to shield himself from the harsh blast of radiation, and in his squinting eyes, he saw it--that creature was simply standing there in front of the Sun, casting a sullen mood of blue upon the dandelion erinaceidae, and in this dour lighting, a glint of menacing red eyes were locked onto him. An instinctual fear emblazoned his face as he felt in that moment like a small animal within the sights of a hungry, prowling predator.
The hawking hunter appeared in front of his prey within an instant and threw his fist square into the hedgehog's face which knocked the creature through space at speeds above luminal velocity, resulting in a large impact on the planet Mercury which fragmented the entire planet. Silver remained suspended there for a bit, seemingly out of it, but this turned out to be a feint expression, as when he saw his foe approach him again, he balled his hands into fists and compressed all of the surrounding masses into the perilous pursuer and almost reformed the entire planet on the spot in an attempt to incapacitate the vigorous vigilante. Silver felt a little tentative about the success rate of such an action, but he had to maintain resilience for both his pride and current objective.
His apprehension ruled true as the small planetoid crackled and rumbled before bursting open and revealing a speeding, living projectile that rammed the flying mammal at such obscenely high speeds which sent them to Earth's atmosphere in an instant. The figure then latched onto Silver's body like a large leech and restrained him with a tight squeeze as he accelerated toward the ground head first, a streak of blazing yellow piercing through the air like the tail of a blazing meteor while Silver thrashed and struggled within the man's restraint.
The air whipped and cracked behind them as they cut through it, resulting in a deafening audio that left the hedgehog reeling. His concerns were growing, and fear wretched his gut as he observed the green pastures steadily encompassing more of his vision. His breaths grew abrasive and erratic as his anxieties weighed down on his mental thresholds, and his heart was practically a jackhammer inside of his chest cavity, which only helped in making his consciousness decay into a disorderly interwoven wool of stress and nerves.
Then, unexpectedly, darkness... He could hear the gentle curring resonating from a small wisp of wind. The cool breeze nurtured his body; he was relaxed. He awakened fron this meditative state with a jolt as he heard the loud crash of an impact coming from... below him?
His eyelids shot open, crimson irises staring straight ahead in surprise before shifting his gaze down below. He saw the belligerent blue male with his legs spread and a palm against the ground glancing up at him, suggesting he had landed on his feet. As for how Silver himself somehow remained above him? He figured he closed his eyes and enforced a Teleport Dash to initiate subconsciously amidst all of his inner turmoil.
He didn't have much time to muddle, as the bellicose temperament of the other had him jump up to the hedgehog before he could even react and use his fists to bang against his head and force him down to the ground.
Silver groaned and swiped his hand at the air which caused a surge of psychic energy that dispelled the resulting dust cloud surrounding him. He anticipated an aerial assault from the mustachioed menace and leaped just in time to avoid the man crashing down on him with a fist, which he countered with a small repelling wave to create some distance between the two. He readied himself into a fighting stance, but his opponent did exactly the opposite: he relieved the tension from his shoulders and straightened his posture.
"This has grown tiring," the man pouted, "My Shadow Mario form seems to not be making any progress with you, and I REALLY can't miss out on dinner with Papa! He fries the biggest, juiciest slabs of meat just for me! So, to dumb it down for you: I'm gonna put an end to this right now!" The man then jumped into the air, curled into a ball, and started to flip forward repeatedly; his form contorted and morphed, condensing down into a smaller mass in the shape of a figure all too familar to Silver. When he landed, he reached toward his snout and pulled down a blue cloth previously masked by the translucent body and he quickly became completely opaque. No doubt about it -- this was Bowser Jr.! Silver was absolutely flabbergasted at this unveiling. He had figured Shadow Mario was simply some reinforcement that the prideful prince called upon, but this? Never crossed his naive mind.
"BWAHAHA! You should see the look on your face right now!" Bowser Jr. couldn't help but snark with a hysterical cackle.
Silver growled in frustration, "Grrrr, shut up! It doesn't matter who you are -- I'll take you down all the same!"
"I'd love to see you try, Goldilocks!"
Silver grunted as he flew toward Jr. at blinding speeds, but the pretentious prick simply stood there. The minute Silver got close, the rancid reptillian gave him a sharp, piercing glare that froze Silver on the spot. Silver's eyes widened and he released a symphony of low-pitched sounds of resistance as his body remained uncharacteristically still.
His opposition coldly uttered but a single word, "Menace."
He then suddenly felt an intense wave of fear wash over his being, intensifying his inability to move. His throat felt like it was being crushed under immense weight and his diaphragm seemed like it was put in a compactor, and both of these acting together forced a humiliating, muffled whimper from his vocal chords.
The young lord stepped forward and gave the hedgehog a gentle, almost apologetic pat on the head before pulling out his paintbrush and painting a yellow-orange zigzag in the air and forming a thick layer of an undulating tangerine substance around the hedgehog. The bright prince would use this as a back-up plan if the paralysis wore off to keep the hedgehog restrained.
"I told you that I would end this now. Maybe you thought I was kidding, bluffing, or maybe you were overestimating yourself, but look where that got you now: paralysed; stricken with fear and completely helpless. You come onto my turf and cast blame on me for the repercussions of the supposed future? Well, tough luck, bud. I AM the future, and this world will be mine one day. Oh, but don't look so glum! I'll make sure to give you the credit you deserve! You'll become a martyr for the Koopa Troop, serving as a constant reminder that nothing can oppose us and warning all who attempt to that oblivion is sure to follow. I'm practically granting you eternal life! I'll make sure they memorialize you within the history books, hedgehog! Your perpetually mortified state is sure to entertain for generations! Oooooh, Papa will be so proud! You're gonna make for one fantastic trophy and a good friend to talk to when I'm feeling lonely as well! Nice knowing you."
Silver could only choke out a few pleas before Bowser Jr. had held his claw out and produced a blinding flash of light which killed them off. After the light had cleared and the photons had scattered, a petrified statue of Silver decorated by his remorseful face stood upon completion. The rejoiced prince hopped up and down with his arms raised high in the air cheering, "Yay! I won!"
He then called in a Clown Car which used a claw to latch onto and tow the Silver Statue back to Bowser's Castle, his stomach grumbling as he was eager to regain some stamina and energy after that long battle.
K.O.!!!

B: Woahh! Did that really just happen?!
While Silver certainly is a very tenacious and imposing opponent with impressive psychic prowess that's borderline inapproachable in a fight, Bowser Jr. simply was just as tenacious and had such a varied and extensive assortment of abilities that could help deal with Silver's TK.
B: Yeah, that's true. Silver had impressive displays utilising his abilities, but they have a limit. Given enough time had passed and assuming the opponent could constantly assault and bombard Silver with various methods of attack the whole time, it's not exactly hard to see how Bowser Jr. was winning a game of attrition here, especially given he can resurrect foes, summon more support, and heal himself as well as others while Silver really doesn't have an effective way of adjusting to such a constant string of attacks from opponents who outnumber him without costing himself a fair bit of PSI energy as a result.
Silver also doesn't have a way to counter the goop-created Boos and Wind Spirits of the Magic Paintbrush whom are non-corporeal and can phase through solid matter through pure physiology. While Silver can also achieve a state of intangibility, it's rather limited to his ability to teleport, and so far, he hasn't shown the ability to attack things amidst this teleport, either.
B: Speaking of his teleportation, Shadow Mario could also teleport, and in Sunshine, he could even intercept Mario WHILE he was teleporting, so it's not unlikely to assume he could catch Silver mid-teleport as well.
Giving a cursory glance over their respective arsenals also shows us that Bowser Jr.'s far outnumbers Silver's, and his abilities counter a good amount of Silver's as well, such as his different types of graffiti being able to render most Rival's items null while even if we gave him Wisps, the only one that could possibly be a threat is the Purple and Indigo Wisps that, if we were to allow, Jr.'s mechas like Megahammer counter by it being larger than most of the things eaten as well as having been directly on top of a black hole you can observe after Megahammer blows up.
B: Speaking of his mechs, while we didn't include them in the fight itself, it stands to reason that they'd only make the outcome lean even more towards Bowser Jr. due to being powered by Grand Stars as well as being far above Jr. himself in terms of stats.
Ah, glad you brought up their stats. You see, if you payed attention to the analysis earlier, you'd see that in terms of their base stats, Bowser Jr. was leagues faster, at least in terms of combat speeds, anyways. In Galaxy, he can travel all the way from a star system in World 3 all the way to the cluster of many galaxies in World 5 in a faster time than even Mario with Starship Mario, who could create portals through space and time to quickly get to the seperate Worlds and had multiple Grand Stars powering it. That's already leagues faster than any shown feat from Silver, and even then, Mario was shown reacting to Bowser in both Galaxy games who could tag Starship Mario as well as move in a vortex that seemed to be sucking in light. There's also numerous feats of lasers being dodged as well as a Magikoopa's initial debut describing their magic as "flashes of light". Also, the distances between the intial travel point and the destination in Mario Sunshine's Secret Levels can include star systems within them, and given Shadow Mario can intercept Mario during this journey and move around this rift, it's likely we could attribute a truly insane speed rating toward Shadow Mario as well.
B: And in terms of strength and durability? Silver could lift and tank a large mass of rubble and debris likely around hundreds of tons, but Bowser Jr. could similarly lift and throw a large, iron cannonball several times his size at the Mario Bros., who in turn can return it back to him. The weight of that cannonball is probably somewhere around the hundred ton range as well. Plus, as Bowser Jr.'s Journey shows us, BJ should be comparable toward his father, Kamek, as well as the Koopalings, too, and I'm sure we're all aware how powerful Bowser is. Bowser Jr. can also tank quite the beating on repeat and continue to get up and continue on to the next world to fight again in a fair amount of his appearances, even growing stronger and more capable as a result, meaning Silver would be fighting a foe who can constantly improve and gain strength during the fight.
Given that Bowser is noted to possibly have survived the universal reset, Grand Stars being capable of causing said reset and Bowser wanting to use them to create a new universe and Mario defeating things empowered by these in base, Power Stars likely having created universes in the Painting Worlds and powering the same mechs Grand Stars do, Dreams which multiple characters manipulate and destroy or threatened to destroy being universes in size, Black Jewel having created a parallel universe and Wario defeating him causing the destruction of said universe, and Mario and Co. probably having survived the Sammer Kingdom Void which destroyed that entire universe, you can clearly see that Strength and Durability between even Super Silver and Jr. is close as these are all things Junior would scale up from.
B: The fact that Bowser Jr. has various means of lowering his opponent's stats and buffing his own AND he has the added benefit of being able to grow stronger throughout the courses of fights means that eventually the gap would be wider than my sister's two buck teeth! His speed and tricky, stalling tactics plus ability to fight for weeks would make it almost too easy to gain the ability to contend with even Super Silver, not to mention a week's time is enough to outlast the form entirely!
One feat we neglected to mention is that in Mario Party 5, the Dream Depot is a collection of all the dreams in the world. Space Dream in particular is one of these dreams. Misstar directly confirms it's a dream of the universe, meaning this dream contains an entire universe. Considering the dreams are all shown to be a similar size and there's an uncountable amount of them in this land of dreams, the fact that Bowser and the Star Spirits cross this realm regularly and are shown moving through this field of universe-sized dreams means, at the lowest, a speed of quintillions-septillions of times the speed of light! And at it's highest you can argue Infinite or immeasurable due to infinite universes where black paint makes up the infinite space, and paint is responsible for thoughts and memories as well as has shown to dream with Petey Piranha in Sunshine, who is a being made of paint. There's also the fact dream world residents can dream within dreams creating an infinite chain and Bowser having infinite lives, which are very heavily implied and outright directly stated by Shaydes in Super Paper Mario to be a legit thing in the verse, meaning there are infinite versions of Bowser and Bowser has shown he can dream.
B: HOLY JESUS SAINT MOTHER OF JOSES THAT'S FUCKIN' INSANE!!!! *ahem* Th-That uh, can't be real, right? Like, it's gotta be an outlier, right?
Well, Boomstick, you COULD argue that, if Mario and Luigi didn't also fight Dreamy Bowser, a being empowered by a stone containing the dreams of everyone. There's also the statement of Grand Stars transcending time and space as well as Mario and Co. outpacing mini Voids even when the Chaos Heart was "neutralized" and the Pure Hearts were used up when fighting Count Bleck which can eat universes of infinite size and being able to keep up with Super Dimentio even before they got the Pure Hearts back, with it being plot-relevant they landed hits so Super Dimentio could gloat about them not being able to harm him. Mario can also run so fast he warps to a whole new world and time travel via what looks to be pure physical ability. Even beyond this, the feat is still massively faster than anything Silver has ever displayed.
B: So basically you can argue Bowser Jr. can scale to even the highest stats Silver is given.
Beyond physicals, their powers and abilities were formidable, but Jr. just had more effective abilities to aid him in the fight and could always resort to petrification which he used against Daisy for an easy win. His portals also fragment anyone who could enter them into tiny particles that CAN be interacted with to change what comes out on the other side, as shown in a comic strip based on Sunshine where Princess Peach takes a blob of Mario before it goes through the portal which resulted in Mario appearing without his signature mustache from the other side. This isn't even mentioning the life draining effects his graffiti has on Mario as well as the fact any of his graffiti can drag entire structures like buildings underneath of it and effectively seal them away as well as incapacitate people. His healing abilities, regen in both base and likely in his Shadow Mario form as well, and the fact a single scream can magically shrink people and severely lower their stats are all abilities Silver has few ways to counter and hasn't dealt with before. Silver even in his Super transformation would be fighting an uphill battle against an enemy that can capitalize on his limits and even help egg the process on. If he wanted, Jr. could even Deny the Super transformation, steal the Emeralds, or force them out of him via using his brush to tickle them out, as silly as it sounds.
B: Silver wasn't totally helpless, though. He was frankly more experienced against foes who use mechs and machinery, and he's able to turn most projectiles against foes with ease, so it would be hard for Jr. to really land a hit and get through Silver's amazing abilities. Silver also had a few abilities like Time Travel and screwing with the kid's sense of perception up his sleeve that could potentially help him in this fight.
Unfortunately for Silver, these techniques either require huge amounts of energy to pull off, have a pretty low showing in terms of their effects and how much control he has, and are pretty vague and undefined, although the last point mostly applies to his method of time travel. For those reasons, we can't assume Silver can travel to before Jr. was born or something on a whim as that's also out of character, and his mind manipulation mostly grants his victims with a case of vertigo rather than something a little more mentally scarring. Silver's tenacity, experience, willpower, and skills were surely great, but Bowser Jr.'s superior arsenal, intelligence, abilities, and physicality proved to be too absolute even for the dreamer of a hedgehog.
B: Looks like it was just no use for Silver.
The winner is Bowser Jr.
Advantages/Disadvantages[]
Bowser Jr.:
++ Stronger
++ Faster reaction times
++ More durable
++ Much greater arsenal
+ More useful abilities
+ More intelligent
+ Can control the battlefield
+ Silver had no counters to quite a few of his abilities like petrification
+ Could probably prey on the time limit Silver has in both base and Super forms given his arsenal and abilities
+ Has deployed better tactics and strategies like utilising stealth and trickery amongst his brute force
+ Regen and healing offer more stamina and allow Silver to deal virtually no damage to Junior
+ Vast amounts of minions he can summon and create essentially turn the fight into an army against a single opposer
+ Undoubtedly the better CQC fighter as Silver has jobbered to most foes in physical combat
+ Can make the gap in stats greater with stat reductions and stat buffs as well as Reactive Power Level and Advanced Development helping to make a constant strength gain during battle
+ Doesn't have a time limit nor stamina-draining abilities which limit him
= Counters most of what Silver can throw at him
= Shadow Mario counters Silver's flight and offers just as much mobility
= Shadow Mario can teleport and form an intangible ball to counter Silver's method of intangible transportation
= If we really wanna argue semantics, Shadow Mario is just as invulnerable as Super Silver based on gameplay mechanics and was never truly beaten by Mario; he would teleport away upon being caught or if Mario took to long to get to his fallen body
- Isn't as experienced against foes like Silver
- Lacks a natural form of flight and therefore less mobility than Silver in base form
- Lacks the innate offensive and defensive capabilities Silver has with his Psychokinesis' coverage
- Silver's TK can potentially disable his mechs and tech as well as disarm him
- Most projectile attacks will be sent back at him and rendered null
- His abilities lack the range of Silver's abilities
- Time Travel would make Bowser Jr.'s life hard
Silver:
+ His psychokinesis was extremely effective against most of Bowser Jr.'s arsenal and weaponry
+ His skill with his PK would put extreme amounts of pressure on BJ given its defensive and offensive capabilities providing for an almost insurmountable obstacle
+ Flight provided slightly more mobility and allowed him to avoid the ground
+ More experienced against foes like Bowser Jr.
+ Has more range with his abilities
+= His illusion casting could serve to make BJ temporarily open to attack through being dazed, though it's questionable if it would be much help much less work with Jr.'s enhanced senses and resistance to some mental abilities as well as the fact Jr. knows the trickery game well
= Shadow Mario provided equal amounts of mobility
= While Silver counters BJ's arsenal, the same can be said for BJ and most of Silver's abilities
= Shadow Mario is just as invulnerable if we want to attribute gane mechanics to both
= Shadow Mario can teleport and form an intangible ball to counter Silver's method of intangible transportation
- Weaker
- Slower reaction times
- Less durable
- Boasts less of an arsenal
- Has less useful abilities
- Has no way around petrification among some of BJ's other abilities
- Less intelligent
- Rarely changed his battle strategies
- Has virtually little in terms of helping regain his stamina and health
- Isn't much of a CQC fighter
- Time Travel is vague and out of character
- Is limited by his stamina and time limit which can be shortened even more by Jr.'s abilities
- Stat reductions make the gap in stats even greater

Trivia[]
- This is Fox's premiere DB debut!
- Silver the Hedgehog and Bowser Jr. are among Fox's favorite characters in their respective franchises
- Silver and Jr. share a lot more in common than one would originally think in terms of their personalities, both being naive and innocent reflective of their ages. They also were hated by a lot of fans in their debut but have since grown to be more tolerated and liked.
