History[]
Chuck Taine was just an ordinary boy living in the future without any superpowers. One day, while working for a well known scientist, he was given a task to deliver a super-plastic formula to the Science Council. While he was delivering the formula, Chuck got distracted by going to a Robot Gladiator tournament that was happening at that very moment. While he was there, Chuck was enjoying the games so much, that he accidentally drank the super-plastic formula, believing it to be soda-pop.
Now gaining the ability to inflate like a ball and bounce around, Chuck decided to use his newly acquired superpowers for good. He auditioned to be a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes, but he got rejected. But after stopping a robbery from an electrifying villain, he was accepted back into the group. Chuck had begun his heroic career as the young superhero known as Bouncing Boy and had won the admiration of his teammates with his sense of humor and showing his power could be used offensively and in a support capacity.
