~ Bon |
Bon is the main villain of the animated YouTube series, The Walten Files.
He is the titular mascot of the Bon's Burgers restaurant and one of The Showstoppers. After the disappearance of Jack Walten, the company's co-founder, Bon inexplicably turned from a friendly animatronic performer to a remorseless murderer, who kills to preserve the faux innocence of Felix Kranken, Jack's former best friend.

History[]
1958[]
Bon, along with the other Showstoppers, starts as the brainchild of two college students, their names being Jack Walten and Felix Kranken. They decided, as lifelong friends, to dedicate their time and energy to the project for sixteen years. This leads to the opening of their own restaurant, Bon's Burgers. WIth the help of Cyberfun Tech and Susan Woodings, they engineer the endoskeletons for the animatronics for their restaurant,
1974[]
On June 11th, Bon is reprogrammed by Felix Kranken using a cassette tape that is played by the Billy the Clown animatronic. The tape is a hit list containing five names; Jack, Susan, Charles, Rosemary, and Sophie. Jack Walten also goes missing the same day, presumably dead inside of Bon, possessing him, as of The Walten Files 3. Two days after Bon's Burgers opens, on June 30th, the lead engineer of the Cyberfun Tech animatronics, Susan Woodings, notices some irregularities within the Bon animatronic's movements, and decides to take it to the back to perform some maintenance on them. She most likely finds the corpse of Jack Walten, and is killed by Bon. Her corpse is put inside of the Banny animatronic. Then, on July 14th, a man who we can assume to be named Charles, is killed by Bon, and put inside of the Boozoo animatronic. The circumstances of his murder and his importance is unknown, as of The Walten Files 3. After a month of visiting the Bon's Burgers restaurant looking for her husband, Rosemary Walten is lead to the maintenance room by an unknown person with the promise of her husband Jack being there. She is then told she is going to be made beautiful by Bon, as he swiftly murders and dismembers her, before putting her inside of Sha. This occurs on July 19th. Someone actually sees this event, though, and they are represented by a "shadow man." It is currently unknown who this person is, but many signs point it to be Sophie Walten, Rosemary's eldest daughter. Sophie later forgets this event due to her prescribed anxiety medication.
Some point after Rosemary's murder, Bon (or Felix Kranken) begins to understand a concept of "beauty." In a hidden tape, titled Lucky You, Sophie is spoken to about this concept, saying how they can truly perform as real, living things. This is demonstrated through the Sha endoskeleton (known officially as MECHs) dancing to music as they speak. The speaker also tells Sophie that "they" are waiting for her. "They" are the victims inside of Banny, Sha, and Boozoo.
1975[]
All merchandise and animatronics from Bon's Burgers are moved to a storage bunker located in Saint Juana's Forest in Brighton, Michigan, called K-9. This movement of merchandise included Bon. They are kept there due to the shutdown of the restaurant after the many incidents that have taken place, of Bunny Smiles Incorporated and Cyberfun Tech's accord.
1978[]
Bunny Smiles Inc begins to enact the Relocate Project, and decides to send three volunteer technicians between July 12th-July 14th in order to reprogram and revamp the animatronics stored inside of the K-9 bunker, for a restaurant set to be open in 1982. After failing this task, one of the technicians, named Ashley Parks, decides to use a key that the technicians were not told the use of. She determines it leads to the backdoors area of the facility, and when she enters, she finds an animatronic clown, named Billy, with a cassette player in his stomach. Ashley then finds and plays the tape used to reprogram Bon, and is killed by him for this discovery. She is then put inside of the Billy animatronic.
1982[]
With the Relocate Project continuing to be enacted, Bunny Smiles Inc sends a facility caretaker named Brian Stells to the K-9 bunker on October 10th. When he arrives at the bunker, he goes inside and finds the Bon animatronic rotting, noting a horrible smell within the complex. He finds the diagnostic tester for Bon and uses it, until Bon begins moving on his own, before trying to attack him. Brian attempts to escape the facility and Bon on foot, but fails, before getting killed by him and left in the forest. His spirit tells the viewer he was mistaken with somebody, a "her." This "her" turns out to be Sophie Walten, Bon's final target. Bon now roams Saint Juana's Forest outside of the Bunker, looking for Sophie, as of The Walten Files 3. Five days later, Bon communicates slightly to Sophie during her playthrough of BunnyFarm, letting her know of his existence in vague and terrifying ways.

Trivia[]
- Bon, as well as The Walten Files as a whole, despite being an original work, took heavy inspiration from the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, and more specifically the fan-made FNaF VHS series by Squimpus McGrimpus. Bon himself seems to be based on Bonnie the Bunny.
- He even appeared in an animation by Memebear, another popular FNaF VHS creator.
- In fact, the creator of the series confirmed that Fazbear Entertainment does exist in The Walten Files canon, but was never affected by the tragic events of the main franchise, and thus can be presumed to be a normal pizzeria chain.
- It is heavily implied throughout the series that Bon is possessed by Jack Walten. Evidence to support this comes from the fact that Jack is mostly associated with Bon when he appears in the tapes, implying that Bon is his vessel and that he's out for revenge against Felix for the deaths of his children, Edd and Molly. In Bunnyfarm, Bon is shown to be breathing in the Banny minigame, and once he gives Banny a gift (a reference to both the minigames from Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and the gift being the soul of Susan Woodings), Banny starts to breath similarly, confirming that Bon is indeed possessed, with Jack being the most likely and most popular candidate.
- Bon has a consistent behavior before and after he murders. He shakes violently and covers his face, almost cowering.
