Description[]

GIRL POWER never rang so true. The two pint-sized supergirls, Blossom and Wordgirl, go head to head in an all-out battle. Blossom vs. Wordgirl pits the savior of Townsville against the heroine of Our Fair City. Which one of these childhood icons will come out on top? There's only one way to find out. And that's in the tradition of DEATH BATTLE!

This episode marks the introduction of new hosts Lady Missness and A.N.T.O.I.N.E.T.T.E.

Missness: Superhumans can come in all shapes and sizes. From tall, brooding bats to Amazonian princesses... to cute unassuming little girls.

Antoinette: Just like Blossom Utonium. Commander and leader of The Powerpuff Girls.

Missness: And the Living Dictionary from Lexicon, Becky Botsford. Wordgirl.

Antoinette: This is Lady Missness, and I am Antoinette, her all-knowing virtual assistant.

Missness: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a DEATH BATTLE!

Antoinette: Sugar. Spice. And everything nice. These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect little girl. But Professor Utonium accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction... CHEMICAL X! Thus The Powerpuff Girls were born! Using their ultra-super powers, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup have dedicated their lives to fighting crime... and the FORCES OF EVIL!

Missness: You truly put your all into that, didn't you?

Antoinette: I-I've always wanted to say it out loud...

Missness: As the opening narration my excitable A.I. recited would suggest, Blossom is the leader of the crime fighting trio known as The Powerpuff Girls. Though the process of their creation confounds me. Did he truly think he was going to create life just from some assorted cooking ingredients?

Antoinette: Theoretically, it is possible, ma'am... It's just the question of getting... literally everything nice that's the hard part.

  • Blossom Utonium:
    • Age: 8
    • Height: 2'2''
    • Occupation: Superhero, Elementary Student
    • Likes: Science, Heroism, Being Bossy, Her Sisters
    • Dislikes: Villainy

Missness: Miss Utonium is currently taking residence at the City of Townsville. A city prone to every disaster known to man. Giant monsters, evil monkeys, and the literal devil all making this place their playground.

Antoinette: It really is a danger-magnet. Luckily, the girls are loyal to their crime-duties to a fault! Though, it wasn't always this way.

Missness: Originally, the Professor merely wanted a normal family with The Powerpuffs. But it was just about as normal as you could get.

Antoinette: Something as simple as a game of tag can reach disastrous levels of destruction with their powers.

  • Superpowers
    • Super Strength and Speed
    • Heat Vision
    • Freeze and Fire Breath
    • Energy Projection
    • Flight
    • Invisibility
    • X-Ray Vision
    • Sonic Scream
    • Super-Hearing
    • Danger Sense
    • Fire Shields
    • Duplication
    • Water Transformation
    • Shrinking
    • Electricity Fields
    • Time Travel

Missness: The various "ultra-super powers" the girls were granted come from the vat of Chemical X mixed into their creation. Thus, they possess many abilities acquainted with the "Superman" archetype. X-Ray Vision, Super Breath, Flight, Sonic Screams and Optic Beams.

Antoinette: But they also possess a subset of other supernatural abilities like the ability to turn into water, creating shields of fire and electricity, duplicating themselves and shrinking... As well as possessing a Danger Sense!

Missness: A Danger Sense? Then why is it that they're surprised by sneak attacks and danger so often?

Antoinette: It's... not perfect. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that it's not really reliable in combat at all, but it's still noteworthy nonetheless.

Missness: With such vast potential, you can see how these powers would be quite chaotic in the hands of a prepubescent child.

Antoinette: The citizens of Townsville were especially terrified. Their simple game nearly destroyed their city.

Missness: Afterwards, they were considered outcasts; freaks to be looked down on by society, with their gifts to be unseen and kept hidden away.

Antoinette: That is until they found an unlikely confidant in Mojo Jojo, a talking super-intelligent monkey who was also doused with Chemical X. He gained their trust by saving them and acting as a father figure for them.

Missness: But as it turns out, he was actually using them all along. You see, Mojo was actually present at the freak accident that created the girls, and he was originally the lab monkey who belonged to The Professor. He became overcome with jealousy at the thought that he had been replaced, thus in an act of revenge, he manipulated the girls into putting teleporting devices on all the monkeys in the Townsville Zoo such that he could take them back to his lair and douse them with Chemical X.

Antoinette: When his plan was revealed, the girls felt betrayed and ashamed for what they had done. No matter what they did, it would always lead to them being hated by the population. Thus, they exiled themselves on a meteor while Mojo and his minions dominated the city, determined to make the world a... planet of the--

Missness: Don't.

Antoinette: But...

Missness: AH.

Antoinette: Okay...

Missness: However, this didn't last long. Using their super-hearing, they could hear the suffering of the people from even the vastness of space and decided that even if they were hated for it, it was the right thing to do to put an end to Mojo's madness.

Antoinette: And that was exactly what they did. They promptly laid the "smack down" on all of Mojo Jojo's minions, and even beat the perilous primate when he was transformed into a giant. From then on, the town gained a new appreciation for the girls, deeming them their saviors. Isn't that sweet? A happy ending, ma'am!

Missness: Well, I wouldn't say ending... You know, "ending" would imply that everything just stopped there. But it didn't, did it?

Antoinette: No ma'am. Since then, the girls have encountered all kinds of malicious villains, like Fuzzy Lumpkins, Princess Morbucks, Sedusa, and the reality warping demon only known... as HIM.

( They both shiver... )

Missness: Despite the overwhelming odds, The Powerpuff Girls have always managed to come out on top. These victories could not have been achieved, however, without some amazing strength. Antoinette. Run the numbers.

( She bonks Antoinette on the back of the head, causing her eyes to devolve into ones and zeroes, speaking in a more monotonous tone than before. )

Antoinette: According to my calculations, Blossom is strong enough to survive a nuke, freeze a meteor, and she's fast enough to race the speed of light and travel to the sun. That last feat would place her at more than 14 times the speed of light. This kind of speed also allowed The Powerpuff Girls to travel forwards in time, however, it is not possible to calculate such a feat, only placing it somewhere above the previous. Perhaps her most notable feat is nullifying a solar flare alongside her sisters. A basic solar flare like the ones the girls handled should emit 10^27 ergs or 23.9 Gigatons. However, accounting that this was a feat they all did together, Blossom would have needed to exert at least 7.96 Gigatons.

( She shivers and goes a little woozy... stumbling around awkwardly... )

Antoinette: Daaaiiissyy.... Daisssy.... Give me your answer doooo....

Missness: Despite all of this frankly astounding power for such a little girl, she does have her weaknesses. For example, the rare Antidote X, the answer to Chemical X, is enough to take away her powers completely. As the likes of HIM frequently take advantage of, she shows signs of insecurity and sometimes gullibility. Though she is an intelligent leader, her mind can often lead to her charging ahead without thinking, and believing punching will solve all of her problems. Which, I mean, fair.

Antoinette: The girls also happen to have a weakness to extreme amounts of sunlight, as despite their heat endurance when it comes to lava and fire, they are still able to fall prey to sunburn.

Missness: Recovered already?

Antoinette: Th-Think so...

Missness: All that said, she is still a remarkable powerhouse on the battlefield, and a source of inspiration for the citizens of Townsville. She's rough, she's tough, she's Powerpuff.

Antoinette: Some time ago on the far away planet of Lexicon, a baby fell asleep on a pilot's spacecraft, unintentionally causing it to crash and changing her destiny forever. While she survived, alongside the captain of the ship, they were both found by a married couple, Tim and Sally Botsford, and were adopted. As she grew older, the baby would discover her superhuman powers as well as her extraordinary vocabulary, and eventually dedicated her life to serving the forces of good. This is the origin story of Wordgirl.

Missness: Are you serious?

Antoinette: Is there a problem, ma'am?

Missness: Wordgirl? That's her power? Having a good vocabulary?

Antoinette: Well, she can also throw around giant robots like toys.

Missness: Point taken.

Becky Botsford (Wordgirl):

  • Age: 10
  • Height: 5'2''
  • Occupation: Superhero, Elementary Student
  • Likes: Books, Vocabulary, Heroism, Pretty Princess, Scoops
  • Dislikes: Villainy (Although she is on surprisingly good terms with many of them), The Butchering of the English Language

Antoinette: Becky Botsford otherwise is an average, if not intelligent, ten-year old girl. Though unlike Blossom, her identity as Wordgirl remains a secret between only herself and the monkey captain she crash landed with, Captain Huggy Face.

Missness: ( wheeezeee )

Antoinette: ...Yes, ma'am?

Missness: Captain Huggy Face... Oh, this girl is about to get pummeled...

Antoinette: Don't be so sure about that, ma'am.

Superpowers

  • Super Strength and Speed
  • Flight
  • Sonic Screams
  • Super Hearing
  • Frost Breath
  • Speed-Drilling
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall

Antoinette: Wordgirl has an array of powers at her disposal, including flight, sonic screams, frost breath and super-hearing. She's also frequently broken the fourth wall to converse with The Narrator of all people for hints, even though she really shouldn't.

Missness: Well, that is mildly impressive. But I'm not sure if that qualifies as "true combatant" material.

Antoinette: Neither did she at the start. That's why she had the assistance of superhero expert Dr. Steven Boxleitner. He taught her basically everything she needed to know about superpowers and heroics. Whenever she had trouble figuring out a flaw in a villain's plan, he was her support. But that didn't last long...

( A visual of the flashing lights from outside of Boxleitner's office, coupled with a hysterical, squeaky laugh. )

Antoinette: It was then that Wordgirl discovered one of the hardest truths of being a hero. You may not be able to save everyone, even if that person is a dear friend. For that day, Boxleitner was no more, replaced with one of her greatest adversaries. Dr. Two-Brains. A man fused with the brain of malicious mouse.

Missness: Slightly... disturbing, Antoinette.

Antoinette: But Boxleitner didn't leave her with nothing of course. Wordgirl is a surprisingly skilled combatant, coming up with combat strategies in the hundreds on how to defeat her villains, practicing boxing in her spaceship hideout regularly, and regularly outsmarting extraordinary geniuses like Two-Brains. She takes down robots, giants, and electrical kaiju like it's nothing. She even managed to challenge The Learnerer after his initial debut, who could analyze and counter any combat technique after seeing it only one time, as well as Miss Power who stomped nearly every single one of her villains at once, INCLUDING The Learnerer.

Missness: In...crasingly impressive. How about her power?

( She gently taps the AI on the head. And she more pleasantly runs the numbers. )

Antoinette: Wordgirl alone was able to stop a speeding meteor that was about to destroy the city with her bare hands. The force this would have taken is equivalent to 46.69 Gigatons. She was also able to speed from the moon to the sun in less than two seconds, casually even, placing her highest recorded speed at 347.46 times the speed of light. Keeping this in mind, she is also able to dodge attacks from and toy with Miss Power, who was able to blitz her before.

Missness: My... That's a lot more than I expected. This girl is actually a powerhouse! We might actually be in for a proper duel of skill...

Antoinette: Perhaps her most admirable attribute is her way with words. She's known as The Living Dictionary and has never once failed to define a word, at least without outside influence. She even uses her skills to expand the vocabulary of the villains she faces, earning not only their respect, but in a strange sense, their friendship. And most impressively, with just her words, she was able to outsmart the all-powerful Miss Power into leaving Earth forever. That's the power of words, for you, ma'am.

Missness: Though apparently, she isn't without her weaknesses either. She has been known to act cocky, and is somewhat gullible as well. There's also to consider Lexonite, chunk of rock from her home planet that dampens her abilities and vocabulary. But even with that, even I can't deny, she is an extraordinary combatant. For a hero named Wordgirl, that is.

Antoinette: Becky is one logophile you don't want mess with.

( Clip from the Straw That Broke Two-Brains' Back )

Wordgirl: Just in case any of you villains were thinking of committing a crime... ( She picks up a plank of metal... and begins BENDING IT harshly... The Butcher looks terrified as he swiftly closes the door to his house. Cutting back to Wordgirl as the metal is now a ball of bent material. ) So again, if you were thinking about committing a crime in the next couple of hours... Don't. (She presses her fingers from her eyes to the screen. Then smiles as she zooms off. ) Thank you for your tiiimee....!

(The camera dives into the city below, leaving the bickering of the Narrators to fade away into the background. Flying alongside the busy cars and narrowly avoiding a talking dog in a hat, which yelps as he dives out of the way, we finally swerve into an open window belonging to a school bus. Inside are groups of unruly elementary students, the ever-patient Miss Keane, and of course, The Powerpuff Girls. Blossom is staring wide-eyed and curious at all the buildings, Bubbles is coloring some scribbles with crayons on a piece of paper at her lap, and Buttercup... restless as always... is folding her arms and tapping her elbow with her one fingerless arm. Finally, she's reached her boiling point, as she's had enough, letting out a large groan. )

Buttercup: Ugh! We've been in this stinking school bus for hours! Mojo's probably causing trouble over in Townsville, and I could be kicking his monkey butt right now!

Blossom: Actually, it's only been an hour and a half, Buttercup. Besides, don't you remember what the Professor told us? He'll have The Dynamo stationed in case there's any trouble.

Buttercup: Dynamo-shnynamo! This field trip is looking to be a total snooze-fest anyways!

Bubbles: I don't really mind! As long as I get to keep drawing pretty pictures of all my friends in the meantime!

(Blossom gently slides her hand down her face.)

Blossom: C'mon, girls! Isn't getting to go to a whole new city exciting enough? There's so much we could learn from the museum alone...

(Bubbles points her hand to the window outside as Buttercup smirks and begins to snicker -- clearly seeing something Blossom does not. )

Bubbles: Um... Blossom? Does the Art and History Museum have a giant robot exhibit?

Blossom: Giant roboooo-ooooh...?

(She slowly turns her head to reveal...)

(A giant metallic robot of simplistic design. A cartoonishly angry face is presented upon its head, and a giant antenna glows upon its head. With each stomp and raise of its hands, it causes concrete craters and civilian panic in its wake. Upon its shoulder with a remote control is the blonde, glasses-wearing boy genius, Tobey McCallister III, sworn enemy of Wordgirl. )

Tobey: AHAHAHAHA-! Yes, my rohbuht! ATTACK! Rampy all you can... (aside, whispering) so that my beloved may arrive and meet up for our weekly rendezvous....

PEEOHHH...

(A sudden comet of red and yellow light interrupts him as it dashes onto the scene, hovering above the roof of a building his robot is about to smash to smithereens. Effortlessly, with just one hand, the comet is revealed as it halts to be the one and only Wordgirl, smugly staring down the villain with a knowing smirk. )

Wordgirl: Actually, the word you're looking for is rampage and the show's over, Tobey!

(A small monkey chirp is heard -- as at ground floor, a monkey wearing a ridiculous blue outfit and a red helmet is shown having caught the remote, giving a big thumbs up to his partner and pressing the button to deactivate the robot. Electricity sparks from its eyes as it slowly begins to fall backwards across the open pavement. Tobey's eyes go into a panic as he gasps and begins to fall with his creation. )

Wordgirl: Whoa-... What was-...

(She looks to her side and witnesses Tobey getting pummeled to an absolute pulp by a small-looking girl, no larger than her brother, arms swinging like crazy as each fingerless fist connects to his face, breaking his glasses off in one fell swoop while leaving him with double black-eyes and a roughed up face. )

Tobey: M-MERCY! I SURRENDER!

PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW...

(Cut to the school bus where Bubbles and Buttercup are cheering Blossom on, the latter getting ready to speed into action themselves. )

Bubbles: Get the bad guy, Blossom!

(Immediately, they are stopped by the glare of Miss Keane... narrowing her eyes.... causing them both to simmer down, Bubbles with an awkward sweat, and Buttercup with a steaming, disappointed face.)

Buttercup: (grumbling) Or maybe we can...

(Cut back to the beatdown on the roof where Blossom doesn't show any sign of stopping.)

PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW.

Tobey: P-PLEASE... MOTHER-...!

PEEOHHH...

(That crimson and gold comet flies into the direction of her next punch and immediately, her arm is held still by the Living Dictionary, looking frankly flabbergasted and appalled at the display. )

Wordgirl: H-Hey, hey! Let's break it up here!

(Blossom looks confused...)

Blossom: Whuh...? But I was just in the middle of beating down this bad guy! He was about to get the jump on you!

(Wordgirl huffs and places her hands at her hips. )

Wordgirl: I had the situation handled, thank you very much. What wasn't handled well was how you beat down Tobey out of nowhere! He was already defeated! I-It was just completely fruitless!

(Blossom tilts her head... squinting.)

Blossom: Fruitless...?

Wordgirl: Yes! Fruitless! It means being completely unnecessary and not accomplishing anything! Like how it was fruitless for you to attack Tobey when I already apprehended him.

(She gestures towards the twitching Tobey, laying almost but not completely unconscious on the roof, muttering and groaning to himself in extreme agony.)

Blossom: Well, I dunno what to tell you. This is how we always do it in Townsville! It's how we make sure our villains stay locked up!

Wordgirl: What!? That's just cruel...

Blossom: Hey! Me and The Powerpuff Girls do things our way! And we could've handled this robot business way faster than you and that dumb monkey!

(Huggy chirps angrily at that from below ground, clearly taking offense. Wordgirl hears and immediately hovers closer to defend his honor.)

Wordgirl: First of all, this is my city, not Townsville, and second of all, that's my sidekick you're talking about!

Blossom: I said what I said.

Wordgirl: Oh yeah!?

(Wordgirl hovers closer -- strikingly.)

Blossom: Yeah!

(She does the same. )

Wordgirl: Oh yeah!?

( Closer. )

Blossom: Yeah!

(Closer.)

Wordgirl: OH YEAH!?

PEW.

(Blossom finally strikes Becky across the face, leaving a light bruise. Though she doesn't even flinch. She just stares back angrily, thoroughly ticked off.)

Wordgirl: Okay then. Let's do this your way.

(Blossom smirks, satisfied.)

Blossom: My way it is.

(Blossom opens with a series of lightning-fast strikes, each engulfed in her own pink hue. )

PEW-PEW-PEW...

(Wordgirl swiftly flies out of the way of each one and makes a grab for her arm. She wastes no time in swinging the trapped arm around in circles until that vibrant golden light shines from her body in a spiraling tornado. Suddenly, letting go and sending her flying directly into a statue. Blossom cries out as she makes direct impact with the stone, causing it to crumble into pieces once she does. She shakes her head to snap herself out of the daze and immediately go back in for more close-quarters combat. Clenching her fists as she soars directly towards an awaiting Becky Botsford in a pink streak whilst the word-lover charges up to strike with speed as well.)

PEW-PEW-PEW...

PEOH-PEOH-PEOH...

(The two comets dance, striking in tandem as they charged at each other in impact, swerving around like sentient lightning bolts, climbing higher and higher into the air. With each slam and collision, they seem to only accelerate the pace of the duel. For a moment, they switch tactics and Blossom aims to swerve around from behind, although Becky is quick to catch her trick and sends her on a spiraling goose chase around and around, a dazzling carousel of lights created from their game of tag.)

PEW!

(Blossom strikes forward with an uppercut, although Becky smirks as she's already dodged it midway through the strike, appearing at her side. The Powerpuff gasps.)

Wordgirl: Looks like you need to chill out.

(Becky releases a quick dosage of frost breath from her lips, blowing icy air towards Blossom as she looks on in terror. The white completely covers the heroine of Townsville until she is left completely in a block of ice, adrift in the city breeze. Becky smiles, satisfied with herself as she gently floats away from the Powerpuff, only for her eyes to SPARK red -- The Puff bursts from the ice with her heat vision, and Becky jolts in alarm -- only to then groan as she slaps her forehead. )

Wordgirl: Of course... Should've learned the first time...

(But she's nearly caught off guard as a quick beam of heat vision nearly burns her face off had she not jerked her head out of the way.)

Blossom: This'll teach you not to mess with a Powerpuff!

(The beams come in rapid fire, blasting from one end of their makeshift arena to the other. Becky is left flying all over, speeding in quick dashes in different directions as the heat vision now has her on the ropes. Though none of her movements ever seem to allow her to get in close to Blossom. In one swoop, Blossom angles herself around like a stationary laser weapon, constantly letting out a stream of heat to follow Wordgirl wherever she goes, even managing to burn her cape to a crisp. Wordgirl's eyes dilate as she rockets to the ground to blow off the rest of the fire before it can spread. In a split-second, she scowls at the airborne Puff before she can let out yet another heat blast from her orbs.)

Wordgirl: Okay. Now, it just got personal.

(A second before the beam can hit her, she spins around rapidly, digging herself deeply into the earth. She becomes like a drill and maneuvers the underground in record time, blitzing past the dirt and the moles. Blossom's eyes scan over the ground and she quickly switches her eyes to x-ray vision, but by that time, Becky has already made her speedy maneuver.)

Blossom: Where did she--?

PEOH!

(Wordgirl emerges from right beneath her and punches her hard enough to launch her high into the air with a scream. But Wordgirl isn't content enough to leave it there. She keeps chasing after her in comet form, determined to make sure that the Puff is incapacitated. Though she's not about to just fly helplessly and let this happen. Angrily, Blossom reels her head back and releases a sonic-powered scream at Our Fairy City's heroine.)

Blossom: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

(But Becky counters with her own....)

Wordgirl: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

(The two sound waves created from their clash move back and forth, one always close to overpowering the other. All windows and glass in the city begin to vibrate, the likes of Dr. Two-Brains, Chuck the Evil Sandwich-Making Guy and The Butcher are all seen covering their ears in their homes across Our Fair as even the structures holding their walls together begin to fall apart. Eventually the waves disperse and the girls are both left panting for air. Huffing and puffing as their determined glares at each other never cease.)

Blossom: Feel like... givin' up yet...?

Wordgirl: I'm just... getting starte-... Huh?

(Her eyes widen in shock as Blossom fades from view, becoming completely transparent before ceasing visibility entirely. She looks around for her, jerking her head left and right before being launched with an intense pain in her stomach, causing her to double over in pain.)

Wordgirl: Ugh! Hey-!

PEW-PEW-PEW!

(From her left side, from her right, she feels jabs and straight punches thrown at her from ALL sides, constantly pummeling her with a barrage of invisible strikes. She tries to knock her back with a well timed punch, but it ends up hitting nothing, and instead Wordgirl herself is hit with a direct hit to the chest with Blossom's hardest punch, sending her flying backwards, launched into an office building. She skids to a halt on her back and groans out in pain, blood drawn from her lip. Her eyesight is immediately drawn to a brown-haired man in glasses, waving his hands around like mad in panic.)

Man: HAAAAAAALLLP! WORDGIRL IS BEING ATTACKED BY SOME KIND OF BUG-EYED PIXIE GIRL WITH NO FINGERS!

Wordgirl: Um... I'm the only superhero here.... And... I'm the one in danger.

Man: Oh. Gotcha. HAAAAAALP!

(He waves himself off as Wordgirl is left with the impossible task of fighting an invisible opponent. As she struggles to get herself back up, she looks up ahead, seeing not her invisible attacker but flashbacks to her battles against Invisi-Bill. That's right. She had dealt with this kind of thing before. In the briefest of moments, she focuses and uses her super-hearing to dodge to the left, right out of the way of a tackle from an invisible Blossom. The trail of her wreckage is seen digging across the flooring of the office. Becky has her opening. She bursts forward and swings at where the trail ends, punching the Puff out of her invisible form and sending her flying through the wall.)

Blossom: GAH!

(Wordgirl readies another strike in midair, swerving her arm back, only to find herself surrounded by six separate Blossoms, all surrounding her in a circle. Though she concentrates, visions of Lady Redundant Woman flashing before her eyes. She smirks. She's been dealing with this her whole crime-fighting career. The heroine darts like a bullet out of the way of each charge from each Blossom, causing them to disperse and run into each other -- now only the real one's left. And she admittedly is running out of tactics.)

Blossom: D-Don't you know... you can never defeat me...!

Wordgirl: Beat you? I've already won!

(Wordgirl rushes ahead, only to be blocked by an electrical shield around the Powerpuff. She shrieks as she's electrocuted by the charge and the two are left at a standstill. Blossom raises a brow and cockily smiles as she leaves the field upwards to make herself utterly untouchable to the heroine. She closes her eyes and concentrates on her power with her dwindling stamina, only to not sense Becky's presence anywhere -- her danger sense going off like crazy. But how? Her eyes dilate as she looks up to see Wordgirl dumping a giant bucket of water upon her field. She quickly lets down her shield, only to get drenched by a whole disgusting blend of water. She's distracted for a moment and then -- )

PEOOH.... PEEEOOH... PEEOOOH....

(She's launched... higher... and higher... and higher... into the air by each connecting punch, leading her further into the air. Past the clouds. Past the atmosphere. Becky feels her anger rushing towards her, going on an adrenaline rush. She's wasted enough time. Maybe Blossom was right in one respect. Dangerous threats that show absolutely no sign of stopping or listening to reason NEED to go down, however way possible. But brute force isn't enough...)

Wordgirl: WOOOOORD UP!

(One punch -- sending Blossom flying like a rocket into the sun, getting hotter and hotter until utterly melting under the pressure. And eventually... there's nothing left of her but a heart-shaped imprint left on the star. Wordgirl takes a breath and places a hand on her chest, relieved that the fight is finally over.)

K.O.!

  • Blossom is seen awakening in someplace... hot and red. Then her eyes dilate as she witnesses HIM in front of her, giving a creepy smile and gesturing to a landscape ruled by demons and zombie-like lost souls, welcoming her to Heck.
  • Wordgirl is seen posing on the moon akin to her first appearance with her hand on her hips, her symbol fading in from space.

Missness: When it came down to it, Wordgirl surprisingly had this fight in the bag. Although Blossom could certainly give her difficulty with her powers including invisibility and duplication, these are nothing that Wordgirl hasn't experienced before.

Antoinette: Even if you argue that Blossom had fought a similar opponent before in the form of The Rowdyruff Boys, both encounters with them are battles that she ultimately lost and had to resort to their weaknesses in order to get rid of. On top of that, Wordgirl was faster AND stronger!

Missness: Blossom's fastest speed caps in somewhere above 14 times the speed of light, meanwhile Wordgirl was about 25 times faster than that.

Antoinette: You could argue that Blossom is quicker since she was able to move fast enough to move forwards in time. But according to HIM, all this requires is going faster than the speed of light. Something Wordgirl could easily do and counter if she was able to keep up with her -- which we know she can.

Missness: In terms of strength, Blossom's greatest feat is exerting 7.96 Gigatons worth of energy.

Antoinette: But Wordgirl's 46.69 Gigaton meteor feat is more than five times that kind of power.

Missness: Ultimately... and I'm so sorry I doubted her... anything Blossom could do, Wordgirl could counter.

Antoinette: It looks like Blossom wilted and Becky got in the last word.

Missness: The winner is Wordgirl.

Trivia[]

  • This is DimeUhDozen’s second Death Battle episode.
  • Both combatants are prepubescent little girls who are superheroes with powers that overlap with some of the abilities of Superman. Both are from episodic children's shows that are spoofs on the superhero genre as a whole. Both of them also wear red on their person (Blossom's bow and Wordgirl's whole costume), and both are the leaders of their respective teams.
  • The fight would be animated in sprites with multiple hand-drawn shots.
