"Blaze the Cat vs Ann Takamaki" is a what-if episode of Death Battle between Blaze the Cat from Sonic the Hedgehog vs Ann Takamaki from Persona 5.

Sonic the Hedgehog vs Persona! Which of Sega's elegant and feline-like heroic teenagers who are associated with a certain rebellious protagonist (Sonic and Joker) and are cladded in red attire shall win?
Interlude[]
Wiz:Blaze the Cat,Princess of the Sol Dimension and Guardian of the Sol Emeralds.
Boomstick:And Ann Takamaki,one of the founding members of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts also known under the name Panther.

Boomstick:And who fits those attributes perfectly none other than two of Sega's all-time cat-themed heroines! He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz:And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Blaze the Cat[]
Wiz:Mobius.A planet home to several different anthropomorphic animals where you'll find its inhabitants to range from twin-tailed foxes with the IQ of 300,hammer-wielding female hedgehogs,and even it's protectors of the Chaos Emeralds:Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckles the Echidna.
Boomstick:And even a female,jewel thief bat in a skintight suit! For some reason...in a kid's game.
Wiz:However, there was another just like our favorite blue speedy hedgehog and red bruiser echidna who's role was a combination of both of theirs.In an alternate dimension,reigning from the Sol dimension was the Guardian of the Sol Emeralds,Blaze the Cat.
Boomstick:Blaze was also the princess of Sol Dimension,too apparently,which meant her role in her dimension had just as much significance as Sonic's,but despite her royalty,Blaze isn't exactly confined to her castle and can leave if she needs to,even traveling and meeting up with Sonic after her search for the Sol Emeralds. Basically her equivalent of the Chaos Emeralds,except shaped like cut gems.
Wiz:And likewise,as her name suggests,Blaze has the ability to control pyrokinesis,having been born with this power. With her control over fire,Blaze can use this in a variety of different attacks and certain ways.

Boomstick:But just because Blaze is a princess,doesn't mean she's just there to be pretty. Like Sonic,she has shown to be capable of preforming a Homing Dash,which homes directly into a target at high speed while leaving a colored trail. She also has the ability to fly as shown in Sonic Generations and can make a protective stance with her Guard.
Wiz:Blaze has also shown to be capable in hand to hand combat as she has shown to be able to defeat Knuckles and stalemate with Sonic,along with being as being able to regenerate from deep injuries. Blaze is also capable of attacking beings that are non-existent like the rest of the main cast and can also breathe in space...because Mobians can do that. Sonic Lore.
Boomstick:But that's far from what this cool cat can do! In the Archie Comics,she can sense dimensional disturbances and has a connection to the Sol Emeralds,kinda like how Knuckles does to the Master Emerald. She can even harness the power of the Sol Emeralds to harness it's energy and can travel through time and space with them.
Popup:While the Archie Comics are a different source from the games,Blaze has still shown similar abilities in both canons so they will be included for her analysis.
Wiz:However,that's only scratching the surface level of what the Sol Emeralds are capable of. If she finds herself in a situation where she can't win,she can become stronger by harnessing the full power of the Sol Emeralds and unlock her super form:Burning Blaze.

Boomstick:Unlike the super forms in the videogames,the Archie super forms are much more ridiculous. In her Burning Blaze form,she's has much wider array of broken abilities at her disposal,with her firepower being increased ridiculously as a result. And as a added plus,they last for as long as the user wants them to last,however too much damage can revert Blaze back to normal.
Wiz:She can reshape reality using Chaos energy with her desires and thoughts,shoot blasts of energy from her hands,create forcefields to trap others or as defense,can affect,manipulate, and destroy the concepts that shape reality with Chaos energy,go intangible,create an aura around her body,regenerate her body using her life essence,create a duplicate of herself,and has resistances to other broken reality bending abilities.
Popup:While Burning Blaze hasn't displayed all of the following abilities,given that the Sol Emeralds are a parallel universe version of the Chaos Emerald and are equal in power,it's very possible Blaze has these abilities anyway.
Boomstick:And given they share similar power sources and work almost the same,Burning Blaze should be comparable to the likes of Archie Super Sonic,who's powered by the Chaos Emeralds,which have the ability to create a Super Genesis Wave capable of existence,which in the Archie Comics,is comprised of infinite universes! And she also gains a massive boost in her speed,being able to scale to super forms capable of moving to different time periods by their movement alone,such as Mammoth Mongul and Solaris!
Wiz:And remember those wisps Sonic can utilize in Sonic Colors? Blaze can utilize their different abilities for a variety of special purposes or attacks if she needs. However,unlike Sonic,she can utilize all of them to preform the Final Color Blaster as that isn't an attack she's been shown to pull off.
Popup:As shown in Team Sonic Racing,Blaze can likely utilize all of the wisps since all the wisps are present and can be used as items to help one's team get ahead in the race.
Boomstick:She can become a bomb with the Black Bomb Wisp,create shockwaves and become a cube with the Blue Cube Wisp,turning into a living laser or lightning bolt with the Cyan Laser Wisp and Ivory Lightning Wisp,chew through almost anything with the Purple Frenzy Wisp,become a literal black hole with the Violet Void Wisp,transform into a drill with the Yellow Drill Wisp,and a lot more crazier powers that have rather bizare effects.
Wiz:But even in her base form,Blaze has proven to be one of the more skilled Freedom Fighters,being able to keep up Sonic,who could fight dimensional beings such as Ixis Naugus,who created the Zone of Silence! And his evil counterpart,Scourge has stated himself to be above Horizont-Al and Verti-Cal,who's battle can threaten other zones as well.
Popup:It should be noted "zones" in the Archie Comics have been stated to be "verses" as shown when Mammoth Mongul was stated to be able to break multi-verses with his own bare hands.
Boomstick:She's also pretty quick on her toes,being a Sonic character after all,and could keep up with and even react to him,such as when their boosts clashed with each other.
Wiz:And that's nothing to scoff at,considering Sonic's capable of crossing the multiverse in a short time span,which would require him to be moving at 488 nonillion miles a second! And Sonic's also capable of traveling all the planets in his universe just within a short amount of time. Given the number of galaxies and the average distance between galaxies since Sonic was traveling from one galaxy to another,he must be moving well over 97336629981900606060606060606060606000 miles a second or 324.68 Octillion times faster than light.
Boomstick;And while Blaze hasn't been shown to move at such ridiculous speeds,given she can keep up with Sonic in a fight and other characters generally are capable of matching his speed time and again,it's likely Blaze should at least be somewhere around that speed as well.
Wiz:Blaze is also quite skilled and cunning as well,being one of the more mature of the Sonic characters and is capable of keeping things from falling part as the Princess of the Sol Dimension and has a vast array of knowledge about her world,whether it be artifacts or other clans.
Boomstick:However,to say Blaze is without her faults is giving her a little too much credit. Like her name and pyrokinesis suggest,she can be a bit of a hot-headed and sometimes can have a short temper despite being calm most of the time.
Wiz:Blaze is also somewhat vulnerable to other's taunts at times and can be somewhat stubborn. Furthermore,while she is a cat,for some reason,she has a fear of heights and gets nervous in high places.
Boomstick:Really,I always thought cats landed on their feet and had nine lives? She's really scared of all that?
Wiz:Still,even with her shortcomings,Blaze still continues to fight for the safety of her dimension and her friends. So should any of those be threatened,be aware,this is one certain cat you do not want to cross.
Blaze:Fear the power of the flames!
Ann Takamaki[]
Wiz:The Phantom Thieves of Hearts or just simply the Phantom Thieves are a group of Persona users who devote their lives to stealing the corrupted hearts of evil adults,to better reform society from their hypocrisy and deception.
Boomstick:Their methods of reaching those they feel are guilty of their wickedness would usually either be the Thieves Guild or through sending calling cards. Basically Valentines Day but more hardcore,pretty much.
Wiz:However,one of the founding members and first female to join their cause was Ann Takamaki. Growing up,her parents were fashion designers and as such,didn't have time to raise their daughter,leaving Ann to be raised by their servants.
Boomstick:Damn,talk about suffering from success. Going into Shujin Academy,Ann didn't really have a lot of friends and was often considered an outcast among her peers. Kinda strange since you'd think she would end up being popular due to her family's wealth and having a ton of besties but I digress.
Wiz:Her only friend at Shujin was Shiho Suzui and despite initally saying her painting was awful,they were pals nonetheless due to similar situation regarding friendships. However,Shiho's gym teacher,Suguru Kamoshida found Ann in a modeling magazine and would constantly threaten to kick Shiho from the volleyball team and try to sexually harass her if she didn't go along with him.
Boomstick;Fortunately,her streak of bad luck wouldn't last forever as she met the one and only Phantom Thief leader himself,Ren Amamiya. Together,alongside her other fellow soon to be friends,she was able to unlock her Persona and finally put the scumbag Kamoshida in his place once for all!
Wiz:After that,Ann would finally join the Phantom Thieves in their cause to reform the corruption of their society under her new codename,Panther.
Boomstick:Ah,so like the Black Panther or the Pink Panther? Because she looks more like a Catwoman in that tight suit and whip.
Wiz:Uh,none actually. Her codename was simply just "Panther". And don't think for a second that's all Ann is capable of because she isn't just a fighter known to just stand there looking pretty.

Boomstick:Her Phantom Thief costume isn't just for cosplay as it allows the Will of Rebellion,which allows Ann to reflect the strength of her will to rebel against others' desire to control her. The stronger the will,the greater the extent of her resistance to the effects of any cognition.
Wiz:Ann also has invulnerabities to certain elements such as to fire,memory,and sleep attacks and can even make herself slightly invulnerable for a while. She can even negate the resistances of her enemies using her Break Skills alongside her Persona.
Boomstick:And like all of the Phantom Thieves,besides Joker,she has three she can use and summon alongside in battle. Her standard Persona is Carmen,who according to her compendium,is a "gypsy thief from the novel by Merimee, which became famous through the opera by Bizet." She's also a femme fatale.
Wiz:Ann's evolved Persona is Hecate,a Greek goddess of crossroads,ghosts and witchcraft. Hecate is also known to be the chief of the witches that appears in the play "Macbeth". But if push comes to shove and Ann is backed up in a corner,she can summon her ultimate Persona,Célestine. A beautiful actress who performed as Carmen in the opera named for the role. So tempestuous and outspoken was she that it's said the main role was rewritten to better suit her.
Boomstick:But probably one of her more broken abilities is likely her ability to regenerate from concept erasure from all of history itself! If Ann were to ever be killed or be erased,she appears in the Velvet Room,a place that exists outside of reality and just exit. Now that's a cat with nine lives!
Wiz:However,this is only scratching the surface of what Ann is truly capable of she can summon items from her inventory seemingly out of nowhere and she has a large amount of weaponry to use in battle.

Boomstick:During battles,Ann can equip herself with several varieties of whips and firearms to choose from. With the Envy Chain,she can induce her enemies with the effect of fear. With the Burn and Heat Whip,it's say exactly that on the tin and with her Naraka Whip,she can induce a freeze effect!
Wiz:Ann's other whips also have the added effects of causing her opponents the status ailments such as Dizzy,Forget,and Shock. Panther also carries a wide assortment of firearms in her disposal. With the Phantom Killer,she can shot with the chance to cause sleep. With the Pink Shot,she can cause brainwashing and with the Wild Hunt,she can use her enemies to feel despair.
Boomstick:Her Persona,Célestine can also cast an assortment of powerful spells alongside Ann during combat,with some spells being passive. Célestine can put opponents to sleep with Lullaby and Dormina,burn enemies alive with Blazing Hell,Maragidyne,Agilao,Maragi,and Agi,and confuse foes with Tentarafoo. Now that's my kind of gal!
Wiz:During her time working with the Phantom Thieves,Ann has shown to be a powerful asset alongside her teammates and helping in the defeats of various corrupted individuals.
Boomstick:Such as when she assisted in defeating that asshole,Kamoshida and putting him in place. At first glance,defeating some abusive coach doesn't sound like a lot until you realize he created a palace that is universe-sized and considered to be a parallel universe!
Wiz:Ann should also be somewhat in the same ballpark of power as the Phantom Thieves' leader himself,Joker,who's Persona was capable of swallowing the entire universe! Even more ridiculous is the time the Phantom Thieves were capable of taking down the literal God of Control,Yaldabaoth,who while he was in his Holy Grail state,controlled the Collective Unconscious,which is a multiversal structure that transcends space and time!
Popup:The Phantom Thieves could also defeat Takuto Maruki,who's been stated to be superior to Yaldabaoth and was going to rewrite all of existence had he not been stopped.
Boomstick:Joker can also defeat the likes of the Norse God himself,Thor. Not the one from Marvel Comics,the one from Persona.
Wiz:And to take into perspective how powerful the Persona universe's Thor is,he's stronger than all of the other Heavenly Kings,who can sustain a barrier to the Human World and the Expanse,a plane that transcends the past, present and future across the multiverse!
Boomstick:And Ann doesn't have the codename Panther for nothing either! She's fast enough to keep up with Shadows,which are physical representations of the Collective Unconscious, which can transcends space and time! And given the fact she's somewhere around Joker's level,she should also be able to keep up with Thor,who is a resident of The Expanse, a higher-dimensional plane that transcends past, present, and future.
Wiz:Ann's also smart enough to read the true nature of other people and their emotions as well as being extremely perceptive and insightful. However,despite these amazing traits and Personas,along with her varied whips and guns,Ann isn't invincible whatsover.
Boomstick:Although she isn't a complete idiot,she can be somewhat air-headed and even a bit impulsive at times,doing kinda shit in almost all her subjects minus English.
Wiz:And while Ann is by far no means incapable of holding her own in a fight by herself,she does much better when in a team and has little to no solo expierence on her own. Her Personas also each share the weakness of being vulnerable to ice attacks.
Boomstick:Still,never let it be said,if you ever dare to hurt anyone close to this panther-themed Phantom Thief,she'll make sure to whip you into shape and suffer for your crimes,no matter what it takes.
Ann:I'm not some cheap girl you can toy with! You stole everything from Shiho, and crushed her underfoot. But now you'll pay! I'll steal everything from you!
Fight[]
It was a beautiful and sunny day in the city of Tokyo. For once,everything to seemed to be going fine. No evil adults trying to get away with their crimes,no Shadows to deal with,and no maniacal god trying to rewrite existence or even going to conquer the multiverse. Everything seem all well and good...for now.
From up top on one of the buildings was a woman in a red latex catsuit consisting with a clipped on tail in the back of her outfit. She also had blonde hair and a panther-like mask on her face. This was Ann Takamaki,but her codename was Panther.
Recently,the Phantom Thieves have been on the search for their missing leader,Ren Amamiya otherwise known as Joker but no such luck. They agreed however to split up and look several locations as to where Joker could've been.
Ann:Where could he have gone? It's almost a month and we haven't been anywhere close to finding him.
She said outloud before her thoughts were interrupted when an anthropomorphic purple cat was seen walking across the sidewalk,scoping the area around. This was Blaze the Cat,Guardian of the Sol Emeralds and one of the Freedom Fighters.
Ann then leaped down from the building she was on before using her whip to grab onto a nearby flagpole and land to safety. Suprisingly,this wasn't the first walking and talking cat the blonde-haired Persona User had seen before since Morgana was one of her teammates after all but decided to speak through the small microphone inside her Phantom Thief outfit anyway.
Ann:Oracle,I found a purple cat roaming around in the city. Any clue who she is?
Futaba:A cat? Seriously,Ann?
Ann:No,not just any ordinary street cat. This one looks like one of those cartoons you see on TV. With the white gloves?
Futaba:Oh. Well in that case,I have no clue who you're talking about. I'll contact the other Phantom Thieves just in ca-
Ann:No. I'll handle this.
Futaba:You sure?
Ann:Yeah,she doesn't seem too dangerous. She's probably lost anyway.
As for why Blaze was in Tokyo? She had recently found herself here ever since she heard reports regarding blue and silver colored hedgehogs with super speed and telekinesis being in this place,that being Sonic and Silver.
Ann then walked up to Blaze,suspicious as to if the Princess of the Sol Dimension was friend or foe and that if she was lost.
Ann:Any specific reason as to why you're here? And who are you exactly?
Panther asked,to which Blaze looked up to see a much taller teenager dressed up in a red catsuit along with a whip,which raised a red flag in her mind. Finally,Blaze answered.
Blaze:I'm Blaze. I'm trying to find my friends,Sonic and Silver. Have you seen them recently by any chance?
For some reason,those names sounded familiar to Ann as they remembered hearing stories about hedgehogs passing by cities from all over the news but never seen them in person.
Ann:Panther.Unfortunately,I have no clue who your friends are. But have you happened to have seen our leader,Joker?
Then Blaze finally put two and two together as to why Ann was dressed the way she was. According to the Tokyo District,the Phantom Thieves were criminal vigilantes who stole the hearts of others,with their leader's codename being called Joker.
Blaze then charged at Ann with a Homing Dash toward her direction but the Lovers Arcana reacted at the last second,causing Blaze to miss.
Ann:Hey! What the hell is your problem?!
Ann shouted,before Blaze landed back on her feet in combat position,palms radiating with fire as she was ready to engage Panther.
Blaze:I've heard of you Phantom Thieves before! Your leader,Joker was arrested and was wanted by the authorities for assault on a politician! If you're friends with him,you're just as guilty!
Ann:But he was innoncent! I swear! The Phantom Theives aren't bad at all!
Ann responded,defending Ren,considering he was framed for the whole incident and was never guilty to begin with. Soon,Ann got out her whip and prepared herself. It seemed like talking was out of the equation entirely,given Blaze was hellbent on making sure Ann would pay for her crimes for assisting a criminal,at least that's what she thought.
FIGHT!
Blaze shot several fireballs at Ann's direction,who then starts to dodge them before striking at Blaze's direction with her whip who ran past her attack and kicked Ann in her torso,pushing the Phantom Thief back.
Blaze then charges at Ann with Burst Hover,causing a stream of fire to ignite under her feet and propelled herself toward Panther,who sidestepped and caught her entangled within her whip.
Ann:Nuh-uh!
Ann taunted before swinging Blaze around and then punching her twice in the face and releasing her with a kick to her chest,making Blaze cough up a bit of blood and glaring down at Panther as she got back up.
Blaze:Big mistake!
Blaze then enveloped into a large fireball with her Fire Boost and launches herself forward Ann's path,who pulled out her machine gun,shooting at the Princess of the Sol Dimension's direction but the bullets bounced off like Nerf bullets. Before Ann could use her whip again,Blaze's Fire Boost made a direct hit on the part-time model,sending her crashing mid-air onto the roof of a car. Although she had invulnerability to fire,the sheer power of Blaze's attack still did a number on Panther.
As she went to grab her whip,she realized it was missing and looked to see Blaze in possession of it. What Ann didn't know was that during Blaze's charge attack,she took the time to snatch Ann's weapon out of her hands while she went to use it.
Blaze:Is this what you might be looking for?
Blaze teasingly asked,before using her pyrokinesis to burn Ann's whip,reducing it to nothing more smoke that the wind blew. Frustrated,Ann quickly got back up from the hood of the car she was sent and pulled out another whip,the Skin Ripper.
Ann:Good thing I always carry backups. Now,Carmen!
Ann shouted before ripping off her mask as her inital Persona,Carmen appeared beside her,ready to help Ann alongside this battle as Blaze then dashes forward while spinning with her Burst Dash,excuting a fire-enveloped top spin.
Ann:Since you like playing with fire so much,let's see how you'll like my flames! Fire Break!
Carmen and Blaze power struggled for a bit as Blaze's Burst Dash managed to push Ann back but neither of them showed a clear edge as to who was winning.
Blaze:I sense great power within in you,Panther...but you lack the skill to use it! Yield!
Blaze said,before Carmen pushed Blaze off of her in the end,as Ann then hit with several strikes with the Skin Ripper,inflicting Blaze with a fear ailment,causing her to back up a bit.
Blaze:W-w-what?
Is all Blaze could stutter and say as she then shook her head,snapping out of the ailment and mustering up her courage again and avoiding more of Ann's whip attacks with her swift reflexes. Blaze then pulls out a Ivory Wisp and begans tapping into its power.
Ivory Wisp:LIGHTNING!
Blaze then turns into a bolt of lightning,while Ann tries to hit the purple-colored cat with her Tommy Gun but Blaze easily dodges her bullets and hits Ann in multiple directions sending in the air,as she was electrocuted by the power of the wisp,sending her flying into one of the screens on the buildings of Tokyo before falling to the ground,blood dripping from Ann's head as she weakly got up while Blaze flew to her direction.
Blaze:You'll never be a match for me.
Ann:We'll see about that,you royal asshole! Diarama!
Ann casted,having the pain Blaze inflicted onto her healed as the bleeding had stopped and Carmen was still by Ann's side to fight.
Blaze:Hmph,cheater.
Blaze then uses her Fire Claw,launching herself forward with a small burst of flames and horizontally spins her body and sticking her right arm out in front to attack Panther but the Phantom Thief simply grinned at her effort as she pulled out the Masquerade Ribbon whip,grabbing Blaze in the middle of her homing attack and spinning her like a spinning top,inflicting Blaze with Dizzy as she held her head,her face now green in color.
Ann:Maragion! Ann called out,commanding Carmen to inflict a fire spell at Blaze,doing moderate damage to the Freedom Fighter and inflicting her with a burn effect.Blaze regained her senses but was hurt by the burn,causing her to wince in pain.
Blaze:H-how? I have the power of the flames on my side!
Ann:Earlier,I negated your resistance to fire attacks with my Fire Break,meaning...I should have no problem melting you into kitty litter!
Realizing she could be hurt by fire attacks now and needing a way to protect herself from taking damage,she used the Invincibility Monitor,making her briefly invincible as sparkles surronded her body.
Blaze:Then you'll need more than your little toys to do that!
Blaze declared,now being temporarily invincible and began blitzing Panther with her Fire Boost attack, enveloping herself in a large fireball before kicking Ann in the face. Ann wiped the blood off of her nose before Blaze's invincibility ran out.
Ann:Dance,Carmen! Lullaby!
Ann then casted as Blaze looked at the Phantom Thief in confusion. At first,Blaze braced herself,setting up her guard for any attacks or spells coming her path but soon felt her eyes feeling droopy.
Blaze:But I'm not tired...
Blaze then crumple on the floor,her body not moving whatsoever. She was completely asleep on the ground,leaving her vulnerable to attacks. Ann grinned maliciously as she loaded the Wild Hunt.
Ann:I've got you now!
Panther then continue to rapidly fire six bullets from the Wild Hunt,causing Blaze to scream in pain as the bullet blew a couple of holes in her body,inflicting her with Despair as she woke and was heavily bleeding. Ann then discarded the Wild Shot as it was out of ammo and Carmen faded. Thinking the battle was done,Ann walked away.
Ann:Nothing personal,your highness.
Blaze's then pounded furiously on the ground in frustration until Seven Sol Emeralds surronded before being absorbed.
Blaze:I'm haven't been beaten yet!
Blaze then transforms into Burning Blaze,her lavender fur now pink in color,her tailcoat now red and with a flaming aura surronding her body. Ann was in awe of Blaze's ultimate transformation as she looked back.
Ann:Ah shit,here we go again!
Burning Blaze then flew swiftly towards Ann direction and landed a powerful punch into Ann's stomach,causing her to gag out blood before powerfully uppercutting in the air and punishing the costumed-Persona User with speed-blitzing body strikes before powerfully spiking Ann down with her foot,causing entire windows,screens,and the street below them to be destroyed by the sheer power of the Sol Emeralds.
Ann was shown on the ground,body bruised and badily battered as she was limping in an attempt to escape but Blaze made not to let that happen and grabbed her hair and charged up her hand with Chaos Energy,lifting Panther up with her left and punching her face so hard,she was erased from the concept of existence,killing her and causing her to let a final death shout before biting the dust.

Ann then opened her eyes and found herself somewhere in a place that exists between dream and reality, mind and matter. A room located between consciousness and subconsciousness. This was the Velvet Room.
Lavenza:Greetings,Phantom Thief. What brings you to the Velvet Room and where are your other teammates?
Ann:Uh,they didn't come with me. I'm the only one who came here to this place since I got erased. Do you know where the exit is?
Lavenza:Yes,the exit is on your left.
Ann:Thanks!
Ann then noticed the exit right next to her in the Velvet Room and began walking out,waving Lavenza goodbye as she soon left the Velvet Room.
10 minutes later...
As Burning Blaze was about to leave,Ann reappeared moments later with her Naraka Whip in hand as she appeared,ready to finish their battle they started.
Blaze:What?! I just destroyed you earlier! How did you come back?
Ann:Luckily for me,I still have eight more lives up my sleeve. I don't know what you just did but I'm resistant towards that. Now then...
Ann then ripped off her mask once more and a Persona emerged once more except it was much more bigger and had pink skin with longer hair and a jacket. This was Panther's Ultimate Persona!
Ann:Try stopping me now! Let's go,Célestine!
Panther then rushed at Blaze,with Blaze doing the same by flying towards her direction,breaking the clash immediately with Ann hitting her twice and delivering two whip strikes before Blaze fired two energy blasts from her hand,which Ann perceived and avoided before going intangible,not feeling the attacks of her Naraka Whip.
Ann:Huh?
Blaze:You'll have to do much better than that!
Blaze taunted before tugging the whip and bringing Ann towards her before unleashing a fiery uppercut,sending her in the air and following up by flying towards Ann's direction,using her Burning Fire Boost to rammed into Panther's midsection,creating several holes through buildings as she did before grabbing her legs and spinning her and throwing her to the ground as Ann got back up by the vicious assault,bruised but not down for the count yet.
Blaze:This is my final warning. You can't beat me when I'm in this state. Give up and turn yourself in.I really don't wish to hurt you anymore.
Ann then clenched her hand as her Naraka Whip was switched out for her Spike Whip on her left hand and holding her Phantom Killer in her right hand.
Ann:No! I'll die before I give up being apart of the Phantom Thieves and I'll be damned if I were to end it all right now!
Blaze:...Have it your way.
Both had a bit of hesitance in their eyes as they glared each other down,a moment of silence was shared between the two. While they didn't really want to kill the other,they both knew at this point,they had no choice.
Breaking the silence,Blaze flies forward Ann's direction with a fiery punch but Célestine blocks Blaze's fiery strike and kicked her away before using an ice skill to freeze Blaze but Blaze easily melted out.
Blaze then began creating a forcefield but not for herself to defend against Panther's attacks,no. The forcefield began shrinking around Ann,squeezing her before breaking out and cracking her bones back into place.
Ann:Ugh...
Ann then shot several rounds from her Phantom Killer as Burning Blaze burst towards Ann with the bullets melting on impact of her skin but struck the Freedom Fighter several times with her Spike Whip,causing her to be inflicted as she was shocked.
Ann:Now! Célestine! Rush her!
Celestine then began to kick Blaze across her body several times before rapidly punching the Guardian with her large pigtails and finishing with a kick before Blaze was freed and flew above both Ann and Célestine.
Blaze:You're finished!
Blaze then began releasing two powerful blasts of Chaos energy from her hands at Ann,which directly struck at both Ann and her Ultimate Persona. Célestine started fading away and Ann's body was slowly being erased before using a Forcefield skill to block the energy.
Ann:No...YOU FIRST!
Célestine stopped fading away as Ann then dashed through the Chaos energy and kicked Blaze in the face,sending her flying before grabbing her body with her Touch Branch whip and slamming her down. Blaze tried breaking out of Ann's grasp but had a much harder time now.
Blaze:U-unhand me...!
Blaze then began charging herself with her feet,to increase the momentum and power of her next attack before dashing and breaking out and flying towards Ann's direction with the Persona User running towards just as quick and soon,Ann prepared to finish this battle with a final attack with Célestine and after that,their built up attacks clashed and soon,entire buildings were engulfed and the surronding area was completely decimated,with nothing but a crater remaining. But who won? Freedom Fighter or Phantom Thief?
Ann was completely bloodied and damaged as fell over,kneeling down,holding her stomach,revealing in her hand a huge amount of blood she lost before barely recovering.
Unfortunately,the same couldn't be said for the latter. Blaze was then barraged with a bombardment of punches by Célestine,hitting her several times painfully as she screamed out.
Ann then noticed she had Blaze restrained once with her Spike Whip again but this time,it was by the princess' neck,and soon the badly battered model had a slight smirk on her mouth before Blaze turned purple as her super form taken too much punishment.
Blaze:N-no,I failed...
As Ann pulled and tugged with great difficulty to suffocate her adversary,Célestine landed a powerful and final punch on the Mobian,as Blaze let out a final scream as she was decapitated by Ann's whip,which also exploded into multiple pieces as a results of Célestine's power,causing her lifeless body fell over,blood geysering from where Blaze's head used to be.
Célestine then finally faded away as Ann then fell on her knees,exhausted and not unscathed from the fight. Her Phantom Thief outfit was battle damaged with a few tears noticeable and Panther was bleeding from her nose and a few bruises.
Ann then stood up,victorious before running off to meet up again with her other fellow Phantom Thieves in pursuit of where their fearless leader could've gone. Although,the action of taking another life away from someone,even if they tried to do the same was not going to fade from Ann's consciousness anytime soon,especially when they seemed so adolescent.
Ann:At least it's over...

Boomstick:YES! Best girl won! Woo-hoo!
Wiz:Uh,I'm pretty sure that's pretty subjective and up for debate. This was an extremely close fight. While both of these combatants have shown to be able to take on powerful beings ranging from world-threatning monsters to literal gods,only one of these cat-themed heroines had what it took to ultimately take this in the end.
Boomstick:Blaze definitely held the edge when it came down to who was the smarter of the two. No question about it considering her vast array of knowledge of different beings in her dimension and prowess in combat,being able to match the Blue Blur in fisticuffs singlehandedly compared to Ann,who's a bit air-headed and doing crap in her subjects.
Wiz:However,to our suprise,even with the inclusion of the Archie Comics,we found that besides those two edges,Ann held just about every factor necessary to lead her to victory.
Popup:While it's possible Blaze could conceptually erase Ann from existence with Chaos energy,this wouldn't kill Ann as she would just reappear in the Velvet Room,which exists outside of reality and could reclaim her existence by leaving if she was erased from all of history.
Boomstick:Powerwise,both seemed about even,given they could fight foes that had control over entire universes and could likely reshape them.
Wiz:However,Ann has shown to be much more consistently powerful enough to fend against universe controlling threats,given she's contributed several times in helping the Phantom Thieves defeat Yaldabaoth and Adam Kadmon,with Yaldabaoth having control over the Collective Unconscious, a multiversal structure that transcends space and time and Takuto going to rewrite all of existence in a world without suffering,putting Ann's strength roughly around the high multiversal to potentially even complex multiversal range! While Ann didn't single-handedly defeat them by herself,even contributing to half of her part is still nothing to scoff at.
Popup:It's likely possible Ann is even much stronger given she could scale to Adam Kadmon,who transcended the Tree of Life and was was going to overwrite and warp all of existence with his cognition had he not been stopped.
Boomstick:But what about Burning Blaze? Surely,the power of the Sol Emeralds could give a massive power boost to Blaze that could help her overwhelm Ann,given they're a parallel dimension counterpart to the Chaos Emeralds,right?
Wiz:While the Sol Emeralds do give Blaze a drastic increase in power,more than enough that she should be equal to other super forms,which are powered up by the Chaos Emeralds,which are physical manifestations of the Chaos Force, which binds all planes of existence and transcends the space-time of infinite universes,that would still be much weaker than Yaldabaoth and Adam Kadmon's power so it wasn't 100% guaranteed.
Boomstick:And while Burning Blaze has a good chunk of resistances to Ann's skills and spells,this didn't mean she had an outright immunity to them and Ann could just outright negate her resistances by using her Break Skills.
Popup:Blaze's pyrokinesis would likely be rendered useless on Ann given with certain skill accessories and spells,she has an invulnerability to fire,making Blaze's main method of attack useless.
Wiz:Ann also outclassed Blaze in speed as well. While Burning Blaze could scale to Mammoth Mongul and Solaris,who could move in different time periods,Ann could scale to Joker,who was capable of matching pace with Thor,someone who exists in the Expanse,which is a higher-dimensional plane that transcends past, present, and future!
Boomstick:Panther had it when it came to their arsenals and abilities too. While Blaze's elemental shields could give some protection against some of Ann's elemental magic and the Wisps are handy,they can only last for a limited time.
Wiz:Meanwhile Ann has items and weapons such as her whips and firearms that not only gave her the range advantage but also has plenty of status effects Blaze wasn't shrugging off such as being frozen,asleep,brainwashed,dizzy,being inflicted with fear,confusion,despair,or frozen. Ann's versatility of Personas she can use is also something Blaze will have time struggling with.
Boomstick;Especially Célestine,who's power is much higher than inital and evolved Personas considering it's an Ultimate Persona. Sure,you can argue Blaze getting through Carmen and maybe even Hecate,have at it but there was no way she was stopping Célestine.
Wiz:Blaze's higher combat prowess and fighting skill in close-quarters and fisticuffs along with her much tactical and greater intelligence along with her Burning Blaze transformation meant she wasn't going to be easy for Ann to take on but with a wider variety of counters to Blaze's super form with her skills and spells,along with greater stats and better expierence and a huger arsenal,she had the means to ultimately come out on top against the Guardian of the Sol Emeralds.
Boomstick:I guess you say Ann could do what Blaze ARCANA't.
