Blaze VS Lucina is a What-If Death Battle featuring Blaze the Cat from Sonic and Lucina from Fire Emblem.
Note : Archie Blaze isn't included. Lucina is a composite of the current timeline and the Future Past DLC of Fire Emblem Awakening.

Nintendo VS Sega ! What happens in the battlefield when two princesses from alternate dimensions clash ?
Interlude[]
Wiz : Sometimes, the world goes really wrong. And sometimes, the princess isn't the victim of it, but the one who will make her live a duty of saving it, by using the power their lineage gave them.
Boomstick : But it's no fun if you don't travel to the dimension of other heroes to save the day ! And that's actually what our two girls did !
Wiz : Blaze the Cat, guardian of the Sol Emeralds.
Boomstick : And Lucina, the Exalted Princess . He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz : And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who will a Death Battle.
Blaze[]
(Cues Wrapped in Black - Sonic Rush)
Wiz : In a dimension in flux with Sonic the Hedgehog's one lived a young purple anthropomorphic cat. Her name is Blaze. As a princess in her dimension, she's the guardian of the Sol Emeralds. But royalty didn't give her only this role but also a lot of troubles.
Boomstick : As she soon discovered that she has the power of pyrokinesis, she was soon teased about her powers, making her close herself and concentrating only on her duty. Becoming antisocial, she also began to despise relying on others. Alone, she fought Eggman Nega, who constantly shows to make her kingdom a bad time. That, until good old' Dr. Eggman showed too, taking advantage from the flux between the two dimensions, and stole the Sol Emeralds !
Wiz : The Sol Emeralds then summons Blaze the Cat into Sonic's dimension.
Boomstick : And believe me she will take quite the habbit of travelling between dimensions multiple times !
Wiz : If at start she will try to do the job alone, but meeting Cream the Rabbit will make open herself. Thought, it doesn't prevent her to fight Sonic when she met him for the first time.
Boomstick : But even if she's a strong woman, she soon realised that she couldn't defeat both doctors, and so teamed up with our favorite blue hedgehog !
Wiz : It's true that she's strong. Being the only female character in the Sonic franchise to had tied in a fight with Sonic, Blaze is an elegant fighter, moving like a ballerina on the battlefield, but who doesn't hesitate to be lethal if the situation needs to. Like we said, Blaze has the power of pyrokinesis, meaning she can control fire. She relies most of the time in this power into fights, using it to do devastating hits.
Boomstick : Damn, even her soul is made of flames !
Wiz : If she saw her power like a curse at first, she will discover that it could be a way to protect her friend. She can manipulate her fire almost perfectly, being able to create very small flames to big columns of fire erupting from the ground, and this far from her. She can creates fire fields to shield herself too.
Boomstick : She's also able to create flames on her body ! She can charge her fire into her feet to propel herself with flames all around her with the Burst Dash, which is strong enough to easily destroys walls, robots... With fire on her feets, she can also use the Burst Hover to launches herself in the air with total control of her movements, even if she can't use it for too long. The Axel Jump turns her into a tornado of fire, while the Axel Tornado sends herself higher in a burst of flames !
Wiz : She can also creates a fire ring while spinning with the Spinning Claw, and has an attack similar to Sonic's Homing Attack, when she locks in the air an enemy and then rushes at it with fire using the Fire Claw. But her signature attack is the Fire Boost, when she turns herself on the fast and powerful projectile of fire, and granted her limited invincibility during the attack. This move relies on her Tension Gauge, which can deplete if she took damages but can fill itself if she's doing Trick Move...basically acrobatics in the air. Also, Blaze is immune to most of flames, like the fire from the environment and can teleport in her own flames.
(Cues Boss : Deep Core (Allegro) - Sonic Rush Adventure)
Boomstick : But don't think this is the most incredible Blaze can do. When she FINALLY understood that having friends is kind of cool, she realized she could use the power of the Sol Emeralds to become Burning Blaze, and incredibly enhances her fire powers ! This form is temporary but near invincible and put her on fire, while turning her pink. Burning Blaze can keep up with the speed of Super Sonic which is faster than light !! It's powerful enough to uppercut the Egg Wizard and she can sends fireballs from different sizes. She also has the Burning Fire Boost which propels herself with a huge burst of energy ! Super Sonic and her defeat Eggman and Eggman Nega twice, who the first time had a machine called the Egg Salamender which can hurt Super forms, and the second time in the Egg Wizard which could destroy the entire planet.
Wiz : Blaze has done many great feats. She sealed Iblis, the monster of Silver's dimension, inside herself. But also defeated the robotic pirate Whisker, his lieutenant Johnny and defeated a lot of huge robots. She was able to stand on the Egg King's arm despite him trying to debate by shaking his arm violently in the air. She destroyed an Egg Eagle with an Axel Jump, and was able to jump in the very top of the building in two seconds ! Even Sonic acknowledges that Blaze is actually really fast, even if she isn't at his level. Outside her fire powers, she has showed to be able to levitate a little in the air and to sense the power of the Sol Emeralds, as her guardian. She's also more up to use her feet than her fists.
Boomstick : But she isn't without her weaknesses obviously. She can easily has a temper if you use the right hurting words. That can leads her to make pretty bad decisions. She is also quite afraid of heights. Heck, why doesn't she scream as hell each time she turns into Burning Blaze and flies into the air ? Oh, and she can get overconfident if she judges her opponent is too weak. What a woman !... Cat !... Catwoman ?
Wiz : Anyway, Blaze is someone you would obviously prefer to have on her side.
Blaze : We agreed to save the world...at any price !
Lucina[]
(Cues Destiny (Ablaze) - Fire Emblem Awakening)
Boomstick : You know what ? Dragons are awesome, even if they are quite evil. And...the incarnations of destruction. Yeah no, I take it back dragons aren't always cool.
Wiz : In the continents of Archanea and Valm, a malefic dragon called Grima woke up and frightened all people, managing to little by little, or city by city, destroying the humans. Including the country of Ylisse. This country has to be ruled by someone called the Exalt, which is basically someone from the Ylissean family judged worthy. This person should have been the princess Lucina.
Boomstick : She has in her eye the Brand of the Exalt which is the mark of Naga, the counterpart dragon of Grima. She's the daughter of the prince Chrom which was an Exalt too, but was killed. Soon after, Lucina will also lose her mother by the hands of Grima.
Wiz : Lucina wields the sword Falchion, which belonged to her father before he died. This legendary sword cannot be broken and can be awaken to its full potential. As Lucina tried to perform the awakening, she was sent to another dimension by Naga, leaving its sword uncompletely awaken, and so Lucina didn't become the Exalt. She was sent in the past to change the future along her cousin Owain and many other children of the soldiers of Chrom's army, called the Sheperds.
Boomstick : But they will be dispersed all over the kingdom. Lucina with the name of "Marth", the legendary Hero-King, will save the life of Chrom and his army multiple times. But she'll soon reveal her silly game of anonyma to her parents, crying in their pants before all the good army slayed the malefic dragon ! Happy ending ! Yeah I know I just shorten as hell the whole story.
(Cues Rival - Fire Emblem Awakening)
Wiz : Lucina is a good asset to the Sheperds. She's a helpful and determined person who disliked all forms of death, except if you attack her father. She starts at the class of a Lord, but can reach the Great Lord class which gives her better armor and a shield, along more strenght, speed, durability and accuracy. As we said, she wields the Falchion, now called the Parallel Falchion in Chrom's dimension. Better than Chrom's Falchion, this sword is powerful, can heal her, and is super effective against dragon-type enemies.
Boomstick : In another timeline when Lucina doesn't jump back in time, she also managed to awaken completely the Falchion with the Fire Emblem, becoming the Exalt, making the sword stronger and increasing the chances of doing critical attacks. But that after she's judged worthy of exalting it by being burned into Naga's flames. Damn that's hardcore.
Wiz : But judged worthy she actually felt nothing. She also learned some attacks in Smash Bros., like the Shield Breaker which speaks for itself, the Dancing Blade which is a combo of Falchion's attack, and the Dolphin Slash which is a jumped vertical slash. She can also Counter her enemies, and use the Final Smash, Critical Hit, to attack with a powerful slash. But in the Fire Emblem game, Lucina can do some critical hits sometimes, which are just randomly more powerful hits.
Boomstick : Lucina also carries a Rapier which is a sword with a high critical rate and which is even more effective against beasts ! But it can breaks after too many uses, unlike the Falchion. As a Great Lord, Lucina also masters how to use spears if you place one in her hands.
Wiz : Finally, Lucina adds to her weaponry some skills.
Boomstick : All fighters in Death Battle as skills, Wiz.
Wiz : Yes, but here we're talking about specific skills to Lucina.
Boomstick : Yes, but we're doing this for all fighters.
Wiz : I'M TALKING ABOUT SKILLS IN FIRE EMBLEM. SKILLS ARE SPECIAL FEATURES. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ?
Boomstick : YES, I UNDERSTAND, MISTER "I KNOW EVERYTHING".
(Cues Future of Despair - Fire Emblem Awakening)
Wiz : Aaaah damnit. Lucina has the Dual Strike+ Skill which allows her to increase the Dual Strike with an ally, as Charm increases the chances of dodging and hitting of her near allies. Aether is a combination of two skills. The first strike uses the Sol skill which heals Lucina with half of the damages done to the enemy, and the second strike uses the Luna skill which ignores half the defense of the opponent. Finally, Rightful King gives more chance of Aether to activate itself.
Boomstick : With these swords and SKILLS, she was able to survive quite a time in her world and leads an army. In the dimension of her parents, she helped to defeat Grima, and in an alternate timeline, she defeated with one strike of the Exalted Falchion a weakened Grima by the attack of Chrom's army, which goes in the future to save them. It's intricate I know. She's actually able to lift crates or destroy walls casually, and defeats basic knights or zombies very easily. She is capable of dodging lighting magic, but it depends heavily on the level of power of her opponent, as she was for instance unable to dodge Grima's lightning, and was saved by her father.
Wiz : Yes, in general, if Lucina's specialty is her skill with her sword, she lacks some defense. But she was able to withstand the strenght of Chrom even if he defeats her both in a match and in training. Also, a Breath from Grima, which is basically dark giant spikes suddenly appearing of the ground, almost killed her. Her duty of changing the future is quite of an obsession that can sometimes leads her to carry too much responability on her shoulders too.
Boomstick : And sometimes makes her lacking of humour. But hey, she's young but quite experienced, and was able to find her friends, and defeated the bad for good sake. Lucina is the incarnation of a survivor !
Lucina : I believe the woman you want... is ME ! We can't let these things win. Now grab a sword... and FIGHT !
Intermission[]
Wiz : Alright, the combatants are set ! Let's end this debate, once and for all !
Boomstick : IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE !

~ Clash between dimensions-traveler princesses ~
(Cues Dusk Falls (Fire) - Fire Emblem Fates)
The Mount Prism. Residence of the holy dragon Naga. Victim right now of the attacks of multiple Risens. The light blue sky of the sacred mount seems to feel the atmosphere of the battlefield, and turns darker and darker as the war goes on. The Ylisseans fight with all of their might. Many Risens are defeated by the warriors, but many of these same warriors die too. One soldier is approaching a zombie, and prepares to strike him, but he's attacked in the back by another. As he sees both Risens preparing to finish him with their axe, one figure rises in the sky, her blade in hands. The person jumps in direction to one of the enemies and pierces his head with her sword, before quickly decapitating the other one. She then quickly holds out her hand to help the soldier to get up.
Soldier : Thank you, milady !
The woman then opens her left eye and quickly slashes a Risen. The princess with the Brand of Naga in her eye, Lucina, is this woman. She's leading the operation on the mount.
Lucina : No need to thank me. Just keep fighting, we must win this.
Lucina then holds her Falchion harder, and rushes in the army of Risens, devastating most of them. Encouraged by their leader's action, the soldiers begin to fight with even more will of winning, putting more and more strenght into their hits. Lucina then finally reaches Tiki which is fighting in her dragon Manakete form alongside the Ylisseans.
Lucina : Lady Tiki, you must run from here ! We can't afford to lose you, the Voice of Naga !
Tiki : I must stay, but worry not. I feel safe with you, and moreover you can't perform the Awakening without me now that Naga is...no longer here.
As the Voice of Naga says that, Lucina slashes in half a Risen which soon disappears in darkness.
Lucina : I shall protect you, if there's any big threat, please remain safe and far from battle until the Awakening, right ?
Tiki : I promise. You have the Fire Emblem with you, right ?
Lucina : Yes I have, but it still lacks Azure, so it isn't complete. But I know one of my companions will bring it to me, and I hope he will soon. Until that... I have to take care of this mess.
She then rushes at some Risens and cuts it some again, making them disappear one by one. The soldiers fight with all their energy now. The Ylisseans want to complete their duty. A soldier then tries to attack another enemy, but she's countered by a fireball.
Soldier : Ugh...what are you ?
??? : You're not the one I search.
A purple animal, or rather anthropomorphic cat is walking toward the defeated woman. The soldier then grabs her spear and throws it at the cat who destroys it with fire : it's Blaze the Cat.
Soldier : Impossible...
Blaze : Who's your leader ?
Soldier : HELP !
Then many other Ylisseans surround the cat princess. As the tip of their swords and spears are about to hit her, Blaze surrounds herself with fire.
Blaze : A shame...
And with her Spinning Claw, she manages to take out all of the soldiers in one strike. She then slowly walks toward some soldiers.
Blaze : Listen, is there any of you that can take me to your leader ?
But no one care, she's soon attacked by multiple other soldiers, and manages to defeat all of them, one by one. A good number of soldiers then rushes to her, but in one fire strike, she defeats them all.
Blaze : Silver would be useful right now, but he's late. Anyways, perhaps I can handle this alone. For the moment, I have to take care of this mess.
And as many soldiers attack her, she creates a column of flames to take them out in one hit. Lucina sees the fire strike, and quickly rushes to the destination. She's soon catched by Tiki.
Lucina : Lady Tiki, please run !
Tiki : As you wish, but be careful. I'll drop you at the destination of the fire attack.
Lucina : Thanks, lady Tiki.
(Cues Authentic Sky - Tekken 4)
Then Tiki releases Lucina who lands on the ground while Tiki flies to the extreme bottom of the Mount Prism. The two princesses are on the top.
Blaze : Wow, it's quite high here.
Blaze notices Lucina, and walks toward her, Lucina points her Falchion to the cat in answer.
Blaze : Are you the leader of this army ?
Lucina : Yes, I am. My name is Lucina. And just who are you ?
Blaze : I am... Blaze the Cat, guardian of the Sol Emeralds. Your presence is a very annoyance into this world, lady.
Lucina : What are you saying ?
Blaze : It seems this world has been subjected to many attacks of these weak zombies who manage to take over this sacred place. These zombies are obviously from another time than this world...just like you.
Lucina : You don't imply that...
Blaze : Dimension travelling always brings trouble, I know this myself. You fought these zombies, but what is your real goal ? With your arrival also came danger and threats.
Lucina : It would have been worse without my intervention. You just don't know the whole story.
Blaze : Then tells me.
Lucina : We're in the middle of a battlefield ! I have betters things to do than answering to the one who attacked our soldiers !
Hearing that, Blaze then charges fire into her hands and then strikes the ground, making fire appearing from the ground and striking all Risens and soldiers in the battlefield.
Blaze : The battle is over. Now tell me.
Lucina then looks around her. Death is everywhere, and those who aren't dead are uncounscious or seriously injured. She grabs her sword even harder than before.
Lucina : I have no will to tell it to a monster like you...
A tear then drops on the ground. Lucina raises her head and looks at her opponent.
Lucina : And I make bitches like you suffer.
She then takes a fighting stance with her Falchion in hands. Blaze answers to this by levitating with her Burst Hover.
Blaze : I also see the real yourself, the dark one.
Fire then appears from her hands as both look at themself.
Blaze : Then be it. You'll soon see that you'll never be a match for me...
Lucina : Prepare yourself... I must do this...
Blaze & Lucina : BECAUSE IT IS MY DUTY !
(Cues Shadow Warriors - Summon Night 6 : Lost Borders)
~~ ENEMIES TURN ~~
FIGHT ![]
Blaze the Cat charges at Lucina with fire under her feets, and then proceeds to attack the princess in the neck, but Lucina blocks the kick with her shield. She then tries to stab Blaze but the Cat jumps in the air and shoots some flames at Lucina who avoids them. Blaze then uses the Burst Hover to ignite flames on her feet and stays in the air. She continuously shots flames at Lucina who blocks them with her shield. The guardian of the Sol Emeralds then rushes at the Ylissean princess and punches herself in the face. But Lucina doesn't step back, grabs Blaze and begins to pummel her with her knee. Blaze frees herself from her grasp and kicks Lucina with her fire foot. She then jumps, locks Lucina before rushing at her with her Fire Claw attack, attacking her with a burst of fire from her hand. Lucina counters the attack with the Falchion, and sends Blaze backward who recovers herself with the Burst Hover.
Blaze then charges fire into her feet and then rushes at Lucina with the Burst Dash, transforming into a tornado of fire going at high speed toward the princess of Ylisse. Lucina tries to block the attack with her sword as Blaze continues the Burst Dash. Ultimately, Blaze's attack pushes Lucina back, but the Cat immediatly runs to the blue-haired woman and begins to attack her with fire in her hands and feet. Lucina counters the blows with her shield and Falchion, and answers with some sword strikes which Blaze dodges. The purple cat then grabs the blade of Falchion with her flaming hands and tries to melt it.
Blaze : This isn't working...
Lucina : My turn.
Lucina then manages to cease Blaze's grasp and prepares her sword to slash her.
Lucina : You want a piece of this, do you ?
But as the sword falls on Blaze, the latter kicks the sword, making it misses its target. Blaze then attempts to attack Lucina on her legs with fire but the princess jumps, before trying to slash Blaze with Falchion. Blaze charges a ball of fire between her hands and manages to block the attack with it. Lucina then uses the Dancing Blade to attack Blaze with multiple slashes. Blaze avoids the first one, straight forward. Then she jumps to avoid the second, which aims her legs. Lucina with the third strike raises her sword to hit Blaze, but once again Blaze dodges it with a flip. Blaze, in the air, then throws a blast of fire to Lucina who blocks it with her shield. The fire creates smokes around the wielder of the Falchion, and she's soon attacked on multiple angles by punches and kicks without her being able to see her opponent.
Lucina : Is your idea fair ?
She then takes a defensive stance with her Falchion, and as she does that, she feels a fire leg against the Falchion, she then raises her sword and pushes Blaze backward, countering her attack.
Lucina : That's it ? BOOM !
Blaze then runs backward and unleashes multiple flames at Lucina, who tries avoiding them.
Blaze : You can't escape me.
The Cat then throws more and more flames, giving Lucina some trouble to reach the cat. Blaze then unleashes a flurry of flames to Lucina who is soon overpowered by all the fire. But Lucina grabs her sword harder, and as she slowly heals, she rushes at Blaze with her shield to protect herself from the fire. But as fire collides with her shield, she soon sees that Blaze is suddenly on it, surprising her. The Cat then kicks Lucina back.
Lucina : What is this power ?
Blaze : You'll see soon. Come.
Lucina : I'm not losing into this trick.
Blaze : Then stay here and burn.
As she says that, Lucina sees the ground where she stands beginning to glow red. She jumps to avoid the sudden little column of fire that emerges from it. But the momemt she lands, she is kicked by Blaze. Lucina then runs to Blaze who throws fire at her, but the moment Lucina gets close, Blaze creates a field of fire to prevent Lucina for being closer.
Lucina : Blast. She doesn't even use any tomes.
Blaze then uses her Axel Tornado to send herself in the air with a burst of flames, before doing acrobatics in the sky. She then quickly falls down to Lucina with a Fire Claw, hitting the princess who didn't notice her. Still in the air, Blaze puts her hand on Lucina's head and throws the princess down to the ground. She then elegantly lands, before charging fire into her hands, aiming from Lucina's head.
Blaze : The end.
But Lucina begs to differ and blocks the shot of fire with the Falchion. She gets up and attacks Blaze with multiple slashes, as both counter themself with their own powers. Lucina then steps back before performing a quick slash, injuring Blaze a little in the side. She then attempts to stab Blaze's head, but the Cat avoids it and kicks Lucina upward, before spinning in the air like a dancer, and kicking down Lucina again. As Blaze is about to land, Lucina uses the Dolphin Slash to attack Blaze in the air with a vertical and fast slash. It surprises Blaze the Cat who avoids it just in time, before pushing back Lucina with some fire. As Lucina crashes to the ground, Blaze lands. Lucina then gets up and prepares her sword.
Blaze : You've no chance, give up. The enemies who didn't fall before me in the first strikes suffered a way worse defeat.
Lucina : I never give up...I challenge my fate !
(Cues Path of the Hero-King - Fire Emblem Fates)
Blaze then charges fire into her feet, while Lucina takes a defensive stance.
Blaze : Persistent in your sins. What a shame.
Blaze then uses the Burst Dash, transforming her again into a tornado of fire that spins fast in a circular way around the Great Lord. Lucina then tries to follow Blaze's movement, but she's surprised when she sees the tornado hitting her. As Lucina falls, Blaze continues to strike her multiple times with the Burst Dash. Burned, Lucina screams as she's pushed back to the limit of the top of Mount Prism by Blaze's ability. She grabs the ledge as she heals little by little with Falchion in hand. Blaze is about to rush to Lucina with a Burst Dash, but stops instantly in fear when she approaches the end of the top.
Blaze : Ugh...this is high...
Taking an opportunity, Lucina catches up to the battlefield and uses Aether. Blaze blocks the first slash, but it damages her arm a little bit. It heals Lucina too, who then strikes a second time. Blaze blocks it with her fire palms but is soon sent back by the sword slash. She then looks at her hands which bleed a bit.
Blaze : You're getting on my nerves !
In an instant, Blaze attacks Lucina with the Fire Boost, making herself a big fire projectile which hurts Lucina. She then strikes the Lord multiple times with the attack, before stucking her into a rock, and punching her in the face. Stunned, Lucina has trouble to keep up, and sees soon that Blaze prepares to make erupt another column of flames from the ground. She dodges it at the last second, and heals with the Falchion. She then looks at the battlefield and find a lance in the ground. She runs to it and takes the weapon.
~~ Lucina got a Brave Lance ~~
With her Falchion now sheathed and her Brave Lance in hands, she jumps to Blaze and attacks her with the spear. Blaze counters the multiples strikes, but soon discovers that this lance is no ordinary. The Brave Lance in fact allows the user to hit the double she would normally. Blaze uses the Burst Hover to rises in the air and attacks Lucina with fire kicks. Lucina twirls her Brave Lance to counter the kicks, and attempts to pierce Blaze who grabs the spear and manages to throw Lucina who wields it. But Lucina gets up quickly, and continues to attack the Cat.
Blaze : You sure get a bit more range but don't think it will be enough.
The guardian of the Sol Emeralds then attacks Lucina really fast from the air with punches, kicks, and fire shots. Lucina tries to avoid or block them, but is hurt by most of them. Without the Falchion in hand, she can't heal continuously so she has to find a way to avoid too much damages. Nevertheless, Blaze doesn't give her too much the time to think. She uppercuts Lucina and then kicks her in the stomach, in the air. She then grabs Lucina and throws her to the ground. Lucina then looks all around the battlefield and sees a Javelin. Blaze then lands, a bit tired by the overuse of Burst Hover.
~~ Lucina got a Javelin ~~
But as Blaze just gets up, Lucina throws the Javelin at her surprised opponent. Blaze then uses the Spinning Claw. Creating a fire ring while spinning, Blaze destroys the Javelin. But the moment she breaks the Javelin, Lucina comes at her with the Brave Lance.
Lucina : Take this ! Aether !
Lucina strikes Blaze in the torso with the first slash, healing herself at the same time. But as she's about to pierce Blaze's heart with the second strike, the Cat catches the lance and melts it.
Blaze : So naive...
Lucina quickly draws the Falchion and counters a fire kick from Blaze, who keep striking her sword with multiple kicks. Blaze then lands and kicks Lucina in the leg, before using the Spinning Claw again. The ring of fire hurts Lucina which is knocked back.
Lucina : Ugh... no claws !
As Blaze comes at her with the Spinning Claw attack again, Lucina prepares Falchion to strike Blaze through the fire. But she fails and is hurt again by the attack. Blaze then spins and kicks Lucina in the face. She then performs an Axel Jump, jumping and turning into a fire tornado, sending Lucina up. Both in the air, Lucina and Blaze counter themself blow for blow. Blaze uses the Burst Hover, taking the mobility advantage and attacking Lucina multiple times with fire punches and kicks. She then uses the Fire Claw to hurt Lucina with a powerful fire punch, pushing her down to the ground. She then rushes to Lucina, but the princess grabs her and throws her into a rock.
Lucina : You will not stop me !
Lucina then performs a slash so powerful it obliterates the rock, shattering it into tiny pieces : it is the power of a Critical Hit. Blaze avoids the blow, and goes backward fast to put distance between Lucina and her.
Lucina : What's the matter ?
Blaze : You're strong, I admit. But you commit a big mistake...
Blaze then charges her energy, and fire begins to appear on her body as she creates a flame in her hand, that she puts out by clenching her fist.
Blaze : ...because you get on my bad side.
(Cues Temporal Dream - Fire Emblem Fates)
Blaze then rushes at Lucina, and the moment her fists of fire and the Falchion collide, an explosion of flames occurs. Lucina slashes at Blaze, but the latter successfully counters and diverts the blows. Lucina then places one of her foot back, charges her sword which begins to glow and then pierces at Blaze, using the Shield Breaker. Blaze blocks with her arms, but she sees her guard broke by the strenght of the attack. Dizzy, Blaze uses the Burst Hover to avoid the next slash of the Ylissean princess. She then charges at Lucina with fire on her hands, attacking her fast from multiple directions. Lucina has trouble to keep up with Blaze's speed, and attempts one more time to do the Shield Breaker. However, Blaze lands on the Falchion and manages to put herself behind Lucina, and grabs her neck. Lucina quickly hits Blaze with the back of her head to avoid the necksnap, and slashes horizontally at the Cat who dodges. Blaze jumps into the air and does some Trick Moves, before trying to kick Lucina who blocks the hit with her sword. Blaze then uses the Fire Boost again and attacks Lucina multiple times. The armor on Lucina's chest breaks from the shocks, as Lucina is heavily weakened by the attack. She heals thanks to the Falchion.
Blaze : Fear the power of the flames !
Lucina : That's the cheesiest line you have ?
Blaze : You little brat...
Lucina rushes at Blaze, but the Cat grabs and throws her into the air. With the Burst Hover, Blaze manages to fly and then kicks Lucina several times. The knight kicks Blaze in the stomach too, but Blaze catches her leg and throws her down. With Lucina lying on the ground, Blaze stomps on her back and begins to produces fire in her feet, making the Ylissean woman screams from the pain. But even with the suffering, Lucina stands up and attempts to slash at Blaze. She then steps back and rushes fast at Blaze with her sword pointing toward her opponent. Blaze is hurt in the waist by the attack, as Lucina uses Aether. The first strike manages to damaging Blaze a little bit and so, heals Lucina, but Blaze avoids the second one. Taking advantage of the opening, Blaze uppercuts Lucina, who is sent into the air. Lucina then spins in the air in a wheeling fashion before falling in Blaze with her sword for an attack of great might. The purple cat produces a giant field of fire to protect her, forcing Lucina to stop her attack to avoid the flames. Blaze then throws fire through the fire itself, and then teleports into the flames she just threw, before using the Spinning Claw at Lucina, hurting the princess and burning her face a bit. Blaze then walks toward Lucina, with fire all around her body. Lucina takes a fighting stance to protect herself. But when she sees that her opponent doesn't run, she rushes at her.
Lucina : Don't mock me !
Blaze : It seems you're the one who mocks me.
Lucina looks behind her in fear, as Blaze has rushed to her back at super speed. Lucina tries to slash her with the Falchion, but Blaze kicks her arm, disarming her from the Falchion. She then grabs her arms and begins to create fire from her hands. She then starts to slowly burn Lucina's arms, who screams in pain.
Lucina : Not...again !
Lucina then kicks Blaze in the neck, confusing her. She then quickly runs to catch the Falchion, but sheathes it. She rather draws her Rapier and runs at Blaze. Blaze avoids the multiple stabs, and creates some flames all around the battlefield. Lucina then notices that there is fire behind her. The moment Blaze starts to teleport, she turns herself to pierce on the shoulder Blaze, who appears right in front of her. She then kicks the Cat in the stomach to push her back.
Lucina : So you can appear and disappear in your own flames without even moving, and this without any magic from tomes.
Blaze then slowly gets up and checks her wounded shoulder : she can handle it, but it hurts really hard.
Blaze : Why this sword is so strong ?
Lucina : This sword is not as strong as my Falchion. But it's particularly efficient against beasts. Beasts like you.
Blaze : Did you imply that you murder some members of my clan ?
Lucina : Not at all, you just misunder...
Blaze : I'VE GOT ENOUGH OF THIS !
Blaze then quickly rushes to Lucina and attacks her with multiple fire attacks. Lucina tries to parry the attack with her Rapier and performs many quick slashes, but none of them even touch Blaze. The Sol Emeralds' guardian then uses her Burst Dash followed by a Spinning Claw, hurting Lucina really hard. The Great Lord puts her hand on the Falchion to heal herself a bit, but she's soon hit by a Burst Dash which knocks her backward. Blaze then approaches her fast and tries to do a punch of fire on Lucina. The latter tries to attack with the Rapier, but the punch shatters the blade of the weapon into pieces.
Lucina : Impossible...
Blaze then grabs Lucina and throws her some meters away. And then, she starts to concentrate her energy. As she gets up, Lucina see that bursts of pink energy is emerging from Blaze. The eyes of her opponent seems to reveal her will of killing, and she has to stop it.
Blaze : You are dead.
Lucina quickly pulls out the Falchion to counter the instant physical attack from Blaze. The Cat puts most of her strenght into this attack, and Lucina has trouble to keep up. From the melee occurs huge waves of energy, before one final burst manages to push Lucina back. The pain is close to unbearable for the Ylissean princess, who tries to heal as quickly as possible thanks to the Falchion.
??? : So you have already finished here ?
(Music cuts)
Lucina then raises her head to see who is talking. A white hedgehog is levitating next to Blaze the Cat, with a light blue aura all around him.
Blaze : You are late, Silver.
Silver : Sorry, I had to take on a dragon on the bottom of this mount. In fact it was a woman who could transform into a dragon. But that was easy I have to say.
Lucina, to herself : Lady Tiki ! Did he...kill her ? No, all hopes for the awakening would be lost...
Blaze : I hope you didn't kill her ?
Silver : Of course not. You tell me : no needless death. Defeating her was enough to prevent her from stopping me to join you.
Blaze : Good.
Lucina then gets up, and looks angrily at both the cat and the hedgehog.
Silver : Wow. She seems tough.
Blaze : She is.
In a flick of his hand, Silver uses his psychokinesis to prevent Lucina from moving.
Lucina : Ugh...I'm so close...I cannot lose...
Blaze then charges her fire into her hands and prepares a blast of fire.
Blaze : Farewell, princess.
Blaze then unleashes the blast at Lucina who closes her eyes. But a sudden explosion is heard.
Lucina opens her eyes and only sees smoke all around her. But in the smoke she begins to distinguish a familiar figure.
??? : Wow, talk about a fire emblem !
(Cues Conquest (Ablaze) - Fire Emblem Awakening)
??? : Good thing I master tomes thought. Too bad for you, catlady, but I've got pretty powerful fire magic too. I call this attack : Super Soul-Burner !
Lucina : Owain !
Owain : I have to say, I'm glad to see you, Lucina.
Lucina : Me too. I'm sorry to ask you this right now, but do you have Azure with you ?
Owain : Haha, yes. Take it. I saw Lady Tiki, she's fine. Perform the Awakening as soon as we have a moment.
Owain then gives the last jewel of the Fire Emblem to Lucina. Both cousins look at Blaze and Silver now. Owain opens his tome and unleashes many Fimbulverst, which are wind attacks, at both animal fighters.
Owain : Okay, it's time to kick your hairy butt, guys !
Blaze and Silver then begin to dodge the tornados from Owain. Blaze attempts to throw some fire at him, but Owain replicates with a Ragnarok tome which throws big bursts of fire at both characters. Lucina then rushes to attack Blaze who protect themself with a field of fire.
Lucina : Owain, when did you master tomes ?
Owain : It's a long story...
Silver appears from the air and Owain throws at him other Ragnarok attacks which Silver dodges. Silver then uses his psychokinesis to manipulate multiple rocks as Blaze prepares a Fire Boost. Lucina then activates her Dual Strike + skill to raise the chance of a better dual attack with Owain, as her Charm skill rises the accuracy and dodging capability of her cousin. As they manage to destroy the rocks, Blaze unleashes the Fire Boost at Owain as Silver attacks Lucina with a Spin Attack. Owain dodges the attack, but Lucina takes the Spin Attack.
Silver : IT'S NO U...
Owain : Windy Demonspanker !
Silver : What ??
Silver takes the wind attack from Owain who does the same to Blaze. Lucina then gets up from the attack she received. She sees that Owain is battling both Blaze and Silver .
Lucina, to herself : I almost sure this wind attack is Fimbulverst, he always gives names to his attacks but why does it seems so important to him right now ?...
Silver throws multiple rocks with his psychokinesis at Owain, as Blaze throws him fire. Lucina comes to defend Owain from Blaze, as Owain destroys the rock with some Ragnarok attacks, or rather...
Owain : Super Soul-Burner !
Silver then stops throwing rocks at him and rushes with a Spin Attack. But Owain pulls out his sword Missiletainn and counters the attack. Blaze then uses the Burst Hover to grab Owain, as Silver approaches Lucina. Silver then begins to attack physically Lucina, which tries to counter his blows with Falchion, as Owain counters Blaze's fire attack with his own Super Soul-Burner ones.
Blaze runs to Lucina's cousin and begins to attack with physical blows and fire, and Owain draws his Missiletainn to counter these. Blaze then uses her Burst Hover, and kicks Owain's torso, before catching and slamming him on the ground. But Owain gets back up, and uses a Nosferatu attack, that he calls :
Owain : Darkness Vector !
And as the dark magic attack strikes Blaze, it also heals Owain. He then attacks very quickly with his Missiletainn, as Blaze counters his slashes. The Cat then uses her Axel Jump, and attacks Owain in a fire tornado form, knocking him away. Blaze then uses her Burst Dash, rushing at Owain. But the sorcerer dodges all the attacks of the Burst Dash.
Blaze : You are quite agile, I have to say.
She then rushes again with the Burst Dash, and Owain blocks it.
Blaze : I have no quarrel with you, sorcerer.
Owain : Too bad me, Owain, have one with you. You want to kill our leader, that made you my filthy enemy.
Owain then punches Blaze and prepares his Ragnarok/Super Soul-Burner attack that he fires at Blaze. The latter doesn't dodge it and takes the shot, as the fire creates smoke all around her.
Owain : An overheated cat is a dead cat !
But Blaze clears the smoke, and reappears with fire all around her body. Owain sighs, and takes a fighting stance with his Missiletainn.
Blaze : You were saying ?
Owain : Guess that will be more difficult than I thought...
Cut to Lucina and Silver. Silver uses his psychokisesis energy to shoot psychic orbs at Lucina who avoids most of them. She then rushes to Silver and uses a Dolphin Slash to reach the levitating hedgehog. But Silver flies and kicks Lucina's back. The hedgehog then throws a rock at her with his powers, but Lucina charges her Shield Breaker and pierces the rock with her blade, before the strenght of the attack completely shatters the rock. Silver then attacks her with a Spin Attack, but Lucina counters it with the Falchion. She then rolls and takes a Beast Killer lance on the battlefield.
~~ Lucina got a Beast Killer ~~
Knowing that this lance is effective against beasts, Lucina begins to swing it and to attack Silver. But the hedgehog avoids most of the attack thanks to his levitation ability. Lucina pierces the ground with the lance and throws herself at Silver with the Falchion. The white hedgehog uses his Psychokinesis to manipulate Lucina's pieces of armor and throws her into the ground. Lucina then sheathes her Falchion and wields again the Beast Killer. Silver then uses his Psychokinesis to rise multiple crates into the air.
Lucina : These...these are from our camp in the bottom of the Mount !
Silver then throws them at Lucina, who swings and twirls her lance to destroys the multiple crates. Silver then uses his ESP move to send a psychic wave at Lucina which attacks her mind and causes her to get confused. Silver then summons other crates again, and the first one hit Lucina, which is sent back. But Lucina regains her mind, and tries to slash the crates one after one with her Beast Killer.
Lucina : These crates never end !
Lucina's weapon then glows before she does a powerful strike that shatters the last crate. But Silver then creates a psychic blade with his Psychic Knife ability, and confronts Lucina. As Lucina swings her weapon, Silver's more psychic one manages to trump her quickly, and slice the lance in half. Lucina then quickly draws her Falchion again, and they both attacks themself with their respective physical or psychic sword. They both rushes at each other and their weapons collide.
Lucina : Why are you interfering in our fight ?
Silver : I could tell the same thing from your friend, don't you think ? You're coming from the future, do you ?
Lucina : I do.
Silver : Guess this gives us a common trait.
Silver then enhances his psychic, and knocks Lucina away. But Lucina gets up, and points her blade at Silver.
Silver : Blaze was right. You are tough.
Lucina then rushes to Silver and performs Aether, knocking Silver away with two strikes. She heals a little, as Blaze uses her Fire Boost against Owain. Lucina's cousin tries to counter the attack with the Missiletainn, but is soon knocked away too, and right into Silver. As both collide, Lucina and Blaze jump into the air and attack. Blaze uses her Burst Dash as Lucina wields her Falchion. In the air, Lucina blocks Blaze's attack, and knocks her on the ground, before landing on it too. Silver and Owain then stand up too and take a fighting stance.
Owain : Alright, guess we're changing opponents ?
(Cues Fight the Knight (Strings ver.) - Sonic & the Black Knight)
Lucina rushes to Blaze, who strikes her with multiple fire attacks from her palms. Blaze manages to land a few hits on the Great Lord, before kicking her in the nose. She then does a flip into the air before grabbing Lucina by her back and throws her backward. As she gets up, Lucina uses the Dancing Blade move. The first strike is dodged by Blaze, but the others, aiming for the Cat's legs, touche her. But the Sol Emeralds' guardian reacts in time to avoid too much damages, and uses her Accel Jump to knock Lucina into the air. As Lucina falls, Blaze charges fire into her palm that she rises up. Striking Lucina's back with her palm, she then emits fire from her other hand and manages to hurt Lucina with it. She then throws Lucina down to the ground, who slowly stands up. As Blaze is about to attack her enemy once more, Lucina jumps and spins with her blade, forcing Blaze to counter with fire attacks. Blaze then uses the Accel Tornado to jump higher into the air in a burst of flames, out of Lucina's reach. She then uses the Burst Hover to stay in the air and shoots multiple fire attacks at Lucina who protects herself with her shield, and blocks the attack with the Falchion. Blaze then rushes at extreme speed to Lucina, and kicks her in the stomach before attacking her with flames while levitating around her at super speed. Lucina is soon overpowered by the fire, and is tired to try hitting Blaze while blocking the shots. Lucina jumps in order to escape Blaze the Cat, who chases her in the air and punches her down to the ground.
At the same moment, Owain and Silver battle. As Silver uses his Psychic Knife, Owain uses his Missiletainn. Owain aims at Silver's torso, but Silver counters the blow and uses his Psychic Knife to make a cut in Owain's leg, making him suffer. Owain then rushes to Silver and attacks his hands, but the hedgehog blocks it with a rock that he makes levitating. Both then step on the ground and slashes quickly at each others with the Psychic Knife and the Missiletainn. Owain is pushed back, and Silver uses his Hold Smash which makes rocks around them rising into the air before falling at Owain at high velocity.
Owain : This is no way to build any grave ! Windy Demonspanker !
The renamed Fimbulverst attack disperses the rocks in a huge wind shock as Owain pulls out his Nosferatu tome, renamed...
Owain : Darkness Vector !
Silver is then hit by the shot, which heals Owain. The knight then does it again and again, trapping the hedgehog into a flurry of dark magic attacks.
Silver : Ugh...what an epic name for a so dark attack...
Owain : Want to know something ? My weapons have even more chance of doing high damages to my enemies when they have at least twelve characters in their name, thanks to my Aching Blood skill. This is why I rename all my weapons...except this one which doesn't need any new name to be very powerful and personal to me.
Owain then pulls out the Missiletainn and rushes to Silver who blocks the move with a Psycho Smash attack, sending a huge wave of psychic energy to paralyze Owain. Silver then rises into the air and uses an Homing Attack on Owain's head, pushing him back. In a flip, Owain gets right back up and wields his Nosferatu/Darkness Vector tome.
Owain : We tech those !
Owain then uses the Nosferatu while rushing to Silver. The attacks then begin to overpower Silver which soon sees himself engulfed into dark magic as he feels his life force lowering. Owain, him, is healing himself thanks to the life-stealing ability of Nosferatu. Silver then concentrates his energy, but Lucina's cousin sees quickly what he's trying to do and so uses his Nosferatu one more time, to make the hedgehog kneels.
Owain : No no no, you don't move now. Be gentle and eat the ground please.
Owain then tries to use his Nosferatu again, but it doesn't work. He then sees his tome heavily damaged. The Nosferatu tome is broken due to the overuse. Silver takes benefit of his opponent's surprise and uses his Psychokinesis to control the book and throws it into Owain's face, before rushing at him with his Psychic Knife move. Owain quickly unsheathes his Missiletainn, and blocks the shot.
Silver : You have no role in this fight. Moreover, your friend stands no chance against Blaze !
Owain : Lucina beat a giant dragon, why not a cat ?
Silver : You don't seem to understand.
As he says that, Silver concentrates more psychic energy into his hands and creates a blast of energy.
Lucina : Owain !!
Blaze : It isn't safe to turn your back to your opponent.
Blaze then kicks Lucina and uses the Fire Boost to strike her again. Lucina screams from the pain, and tries to slash the Cat, but fails. Lucina then sees another sword and lance on the ground and takes both.
~~ Lucina got a Killing Edge and a Glass Lance ~~
She then wields the Glass Lance and waits for Blaze to come. Blaze uses the Burst Dash to hit Lucina, but the latter jumps and then tries to slash Blaze with the lance. Blaze jumps too and manages to do some trick moves before trying to kick Lucina. The Lord blocks the move with the lance who begins to break due to Blaze's strenght. Lucina manages to push back Blaze and instantly stabs her. Blaze, surprised, only manages to divert the shot a bit to make the lance pierces her shoulder instead of her heart, as she screams in pain.
Blaze : You'll pay for that !
Blaze then shatters the Lance with her fists and laughs.
Blaze : That is a powerful lance, but if it breaks that easily, what can possibly be its use ?
She then charges at Lucina who quickly draws the Killing Edge. Blaze then kicks Lucina multiple times as Lucina blocks the attack with the sword. But Blaze catches Lucina's arm before kicking her in the chest and then in the face.
Blaze : What is this sword now ?
Lucina, as she stands up : This...is a sword for killing.
Blaze : You are a terrible nuisance.
Both Lucina and Blaze run to each other, and Lucina actually manages to cut Blaze's chest a little. But Blaze soon catches the Killing Edge into her hands and melts it completely, but immediatly Lucina grabs her foe by the neck and throws her into a rock. She then runs to Silver and Owain. Silver, at this moment, uses his Psychokinesis to deprive Owain of any movements, before he slams him on the ground with his psychic abilities.
Owain : Ugh... you're one hell of a pounding headache...
Silver : This should take you out !
The hedgehog then uses his Psychokinesis to throw a huge rock at Owain. Lucina then raises Falchion, which begins to glow before rushing quickly in front of her cousin.
Lucina : Time to change fate !
Lucina obliterates the rock with a Critical Hit, surprising Silver which is soon joined by Blaze. Owain then stands up and places himself before his cousin. He then pulls out his Fimbulverst tome.
Lucina : Owain, what are you doing ?
(Cues Time of Decisive Battle - Dragon Quest IX)
Owain then looks at Lucina, and smiles.
Owain : I think this is the moment for you to perform the Awakening, Lucina.
Lucina : It's impossible, they will never allow us to...
Owain : I will handle them for a moment. The time for you to perform the Awakening.
Lucina : This is insane !
Owain : The quicker you begin to do it, the easier it will be for me to hold them. Please, Lucina.
Lucina sighs and steps backward, as the Falchion begins to glow. In the contrary, Owain steps forward. Silver concentrates his energy but Blaze stops him.
Blaze : Wait. We don't need to kill him. Let's see what he is planning.
Owain : What am I planning ? Windy Demonspanker !
Owain then throws the storm at both animals who resist it, but soon Owain begins to attack them with both the Fimbulverst tome, and also with some fire with the Ragnarok tome. Both hedgehogs avoid the attack pretty easily, but are suddenly caught in another Fimbulverst, which make them knock against themself and falls.
Lucina : Hear me Tiki !
Owain then steps forward and pulls out another tome, which begins to glow.
Owain : This, my friends, is the Ginnungagap tome. It works on Anima magic, but I will cut to the beating. I'll just say that I prefer to call him...
He then looks quickly to Lucina behind him.
Owain : ...the Exalt Mighty Savior !
Silver : Another fancy name...
Owain then points his tome to his enemy and then a lot of energy begins to illuminate the ground from below Silver and Blaze, as Lucina continues the Awakening.
Tiki's spirit : I hear you, Lucina.
Lucina : I bear proof of our sacred convenant ! In the name of the exalted blood, I ask for the divine dragon's power !
The energy below Silver and Blaze then occurs a gigantic explosion of light. Owain sighs as he feels his magic heavily lowering. He then steps backward.
Owain : Ugh...my Heartseeker ability probably incapacited them to escape this mighty attack as I got fairly close to their merciless spirits...or bodies ! I hope they are pretty weakened thought, this spell reduces my magic pretty harshly...
But as he says that, Blaze disperses the light with her fire, as Silver uses his Meteor Smash to create a gigantic ball of rocks with his Psychokinesis.
Silver : TAKE THIS !
Owain : Ginnungagap !
The spell attacks the ball with a big explosion of light before the rocky ball blows up and makes the stones falling on the battlefield. Owain, weakened by what he put into another Ginnungagap attack, has trouble avoiding the rocks.
Blaze : Silver, now !
Silver : Psycho Shock !
Silver then charges psychic energy into his hands and unleashes a psychic shockwave when his hands touche the ground, completely paralyzing Owain. The hedgehog then continuously grabs the sorcerer with his Psychokinesis and begins to fly.
Blaze : Now please keep yourself and him away from the battlefield, just a little. And don't interfere, this is my fight.
Silver : I can't let you finish this alone !
Blaze : I appreciate your will of help, but this is an opponent I begin to understand, you are too...naive to take this. Moreover, it's better if one of us keeps guarding that anyone tries to interfer with our mission.
Silver : Alright, but be prudent. I'll watch from here.
Silver then flies at a stage below the top of the Mount Prism, having Owain under control. At this moment, Lucina's Falchion starts to glow in an intense light.
Lucina : Baptize me in fire, that I may become your true daughter !
Blaze : I will be the one baptizing you in fire !
Blaze then creates a column of fire below Lucina, and completely engulfs the Ylissean princess in it.
Blaze : It is now over.
Tiki's spirit : Awakener, your heart has been tested and deemed worthy.
The red fire of Blaze is replaced by a blue fire which occurs from the column. Then, the fire disperses and reveals a completely fine Lucina.
Blaze : What ?! Impossible.
Tiki's spirit : Cleansed in my fire, your desire has proven to burn the stronger.
Lucina then raises her glowing sword, as she hears Tiki's voice confirming what just happens.
Tiki's spirit : I shall now imbue your blade with my power.
Then, Falchion produces a burst of energy, making then Lucina and itself glowing in light. Lucina just finishes the Awakening and becomes the Exalt. Her sword Falchion, exalted as much, is now called the Exalted Falchion. She then points her sword to Blaze, who charges her flames on her hands.

Lucina : As the new Exalt... I shall end this !
Blaze then rushes at her and uses the Spinning Claw, but Lucina protects herself with her exalted weapon. Blaze then punches and kicks the weapon harder and harder, but it doesn't even crack it a little. Lucina pushes her back and tries to stab Blaze, who blocks the shot by engulfing her arms on fire. She then kicks Lucina back and creates a fire column below her. Lucina escapes the attack, but has to dodge another column of fire, before Blaze begins to create one after the others. The Great Lord then runs to Blaze and goes with a Dolphin Slash, but Blaze dodges it and uses the Accel Tornado to quickly rise into the air before kicking down Lucina. Blaze then grabs a big rock and throws it at Lucina, who destroys it easily with the Exalted Falchion. But soon, Blaze sends her another one, and immediatly shatters it with fire. The impact sends some pieces of the rock to Lucina who blocks them with her shield. Blaze then quickly rushes at Lucina and begins to attack her while going at super speed. But when the guardian of the Sol Emeralds uses the Burst Dash, Lucina blocks the attack, and slashes the torso of her opponent, making a huge cut on Blaze's chest which bleeds.
Lucina : So faster would be better, got it ?
But Blaze then punches Lucina in the face, before kicking her multiple times again. She then uses the Fire Boost, striking Lucina's chest as well, burning her. Lucina then quickly hides behind a rock as Blaze rushes into the air with the Burst Hover. Blaze then notices Lucina's location.
Blaze : YOU'RE NOT HIDING FROM ME !
But as she kicks the rock and shatters it, Lucina then rolls and uses the Aether on Blaze, slashing her back twice, making Blaze howling. As Lucina then tries to stab her with the Exalted Falchion, Blaze steps back and throws fire at Lucina. Lucina takes the shot, before Blaze continuously shoots more and more flames at her. Lucina then manages to block them with her sword. But Blaze then rises into the air as many fire columns appear around Lucina. The Ylissean princess takes a fighting stance as Blaze then rushes to her. But while Lucina is about to strike her, Blaze teleports in one of the colum, and strikes Lucina from behind. She then teleports quickly and instantly attacks from column to column, attacking Lucina from different directions. But then Lucina charges the Shield Breaker as Blaze is rushing to her.
Lucina : You will die by my blade !
But as Lucina does her stab, Blaze jumps on the sword and kicks Lucina in the face, pushing her back. Lucina then runs to escape Blaze's attack with fire.
Lucina : I have to gain time to heal...
She then covers herself behind a rock again, but suddenly a burst of flame destroys the rock, as Blaze is walking toward Lucina with flames all around her. Blaze then creates fire in her hands and continues to walk. Lucina takes a defensive stance and begins to walk back, while she continues to heal. Blaze then stops her walking, and charges her Fire Boost, as flames begin to emit from her feet.
Blaze : You have done major damages to me...but I'll not leave this unpunished. I have a world to protect...and you aren't in it.
As she says that, the fire below her feet goes intense, and then Blaze prepares herself to strike.
Blaze : It is finished.
Lucina then steps back, as she sees that she arrives at the limit of the top. Blaze uses her Fire Boost attack, colliding with Lucina's Exalted Falchion. As the two shouts to give themself more strenght, huge bursts of flame from the collision is sent all around the Mount.
Blaze : Just accept your death !
Lucina : I am not the one who will die !
Lucina then steps a little bit in the side, making the Falchion diverts Blaze's attack. The Cat falls from the top of the Mount, screaming. Lucina then looks to see if her opponent is really falling, but Blaze uses her Accel Tornado to flies at the top, before using her Burst Hover. She then rushes at Lucina, angrier than before.
Blaze : You son of a...
Lucina : DON'T TALK DIRTY ABOUT MY PARENTS !
Then both attack themself with fast and powerful blows. Blaze then grabs Lucina's legs and manages to make her trip, before kicking her face, but Lucina stands up immediatly and attacks with the Dancing Blade move. Blaze dodges all the attack, and kicks Lucina in the chest three times, before spinning elegantly into the air and kicking her in the stomach. But as she lands, Lucina uses her Aether move again, striking Blaze's torso twice aga in, as the Cat struggles in pain. Blaze then kneels on the ground.
Lucina : This is the end of this fight.
Lucina then places herself behind Blaze and puts her blade on Blaze's neck. She then looks at her opponent in sadness.
Lucina : Any last words ?
Blaze : Yes... I AM DONE WITH YOU !
A massive burst of flames then occurs from Blaze, pushing Lucina back. Lucina takes a fighting stance as fire completely covers Blaze. The new Exalt then sees seven square jewels, the Sol Emeralds, rising into the air and then goes in the fire.
Blaze : Sol Emeralds, please. I have to end this fight. I ask for your power, in order to protect my friends. Please make my burning soul strong enough to defeat this foe.

The burst of flames becomes more intense, before dispersing itself. Blaze's outfit is now red. Her skin is pink as she has fire covering her wrists. All of her wounds seem to have healed, and she levitates with fire all around her. She has transformed into Burning Blaze. Lucina takes a defensive stance as Blaze attacks her with a punch in a blink of an eye. Lucina is sent back due to the strenght. Blaze shoots blasts of fire to Lucina, who tries to dodge them. Burning Blaze then charges a big fireball at Lucina who twirls her Exalted Falchion to cut it. But the Cat then sends many fireballs at Lucina, tinier but much faster. Lucina runs to avoid the fireballs, as Blaze appears just in front of her, and kicks her in the stomach, making the Great Lord spits blood. She then tries to slash her opponent, but Blaze quickly moves in her back. Again, Lucina tries to slash her, but Blaze is too fast for Lucina to hit. Burning Blaze then flies into the air and prepares another big fireball. Lucina points her blade toward the levitating Cat, who throws the fireball at her.
Lucina : I will not fall here !
Lucina then slashes through the fireball, heavily burning her but surviving the fireball. Blaze then suddenly kicks her in the chest, before grabbing Lucina by the neck and throwing her into the air. Burning Blaze then flies to Lucina and prepares a fire kick, but Lucina counters the blow with her shield. But Blaze then puts more strenght into her leg and shatters the shield to pieces. Burning Blaze then hits Lucina with multiple fast attacks, before slamming her into the ground. Lucina slowly stands up, as Burning Blaze flies to her. She blocks Blaze's attack with the Exalted Falchion. But the strenght of the strike makes Lucina struggling to keep up. Then Blaze flies a little more before quickly approaching Lucina and sending a fireball at point-blank range to her chest. Lucina just reacts in time to parry the blow with her Exalted Falchion, but is pushed by the strenght of the attack.
Lucina : Is it possible that she is even stronger...than Grima ?
In an instant, Blaze moves in front of Lucina and attempts to kick her, but Lucina uses her Counter, blocking the attack and slashing Burning Blaze. But the slash doesn't do much to the Cat, who then jumps into the air before punching the ground. The strenght of the attack makes the Mount Prism cracks.
Lucina : Oh no...there's Owain and Lady Tiki below...
Lucina then rushes to Blaze and tries to slash her more, but Burning Blaze blocks every single of her attacks. The Exalted Falchion then glows before Lucina attempts another blow. But Blaze stops the blade with her hand, and disarms Lucina from it.
Lucina : No !
Burning Blaze then wields the Falchion and slashes Lucina's torso. But it doesn't do much to the Ylissean princess.
Burning Blaze : What ?!
Lucina : Those who aren't judged worthy by the Falchion can't even hope to cut a log with it. I take it back to me.
Lucina then disarms Burning Blaze from the Falchion and stabs her in the stomach. Blood doesn't even come from the wound, and instead Blaze pulls out the Falchion from her body.
Lucina : Impossible...
Burning Blaze : You don't seem to understand the full potential of my power.
Blaze then throws the Falchion to Lucina, who catches it. Blaze then rushes to Lucina and throws many flames to her, but Lucina avoids them. Burning Blaze appears from behind her, and pushes the Great Lord with a blast of fire. She then grabs a rock from the Mount Prism and throws it at Lucina, who destroys it. But the moment Lucina shatters the rock to pieces, Burning Blaze punches her. Stunned, Lucina is then attacked again and again without any possibility of rest. Blaze then flies and shoots many fireballs to the Ylissean princess. Lucina dodges the most she can, but is hurt by some of the fireballs. As Burning Blaze reappears in front of her, Lucina performs the Aether once more, but the two strikes don't do anything to Burning Blaze. She then steps back and blocks the attack attempted by Blaze. Blaze then flies to prepare another big fireball, but this time Lucina jumps into the air and goes for a diagonal slash on Blaze, but Blaze catches her by the head and rushes to the ground. As Lucina violently falls to the ground Blaze punches her with a fist of fire right on the right eye. Making Lucina blind with that eye, she then grabs her legs and flies. She then melts the armor on Lucina's leg, before elbowing Lucina in the stomach, who falls on the ground once more. Lucina then gets up.
Burning Blaze : You're standing up again and again...
Lucina : No...I challenge my fate.
Lucina then raises her sword and rushes fast to Burning Blaze with her Falchion. Blaze blocks the blow with her hands, engulfed in fire.
Burning Blaze : It is over, each one of my blow puts you near to the death. Why are you getting up each time ?
Lucina : Because it is my duty !
The Exalted Falchion then glows and Lucina slashes with fast movements at Burning Blaze who dodges and counters the blows.
Lucina : I just haven't the choice. I don't have the choice of saying if I want to win or not. I must win.
Lucina then uses her Shield Braker, aiming for Burning Blaze's head, but Blaze just quickly moves it to avoid the blow, before uppercuting Lucina.
Burning Blaze : You are a fool. Many warriors die because they think they must win...
The Cat then rises into the air and throws many fireballs at Lucina, sending her crash on the ground of the flaming battlefield.
Burning Blaze : ...But they simply cannot.
The purple cat then covers herself in fire while Lucina stands up.
Burning Blaze : BURNING FIRE BOOST !
Burning Blaze rushes at Lucina in a massive burst of pink energy, and Lucina just has the time to block for an instant the attack with the Exalted Falchion, before being pushed back right into a rock which is destroyed by the force of the attack. The move has produced a gigantic shockwave which has heavily damaged the Mount Prism. The battlefied is now burning. Silver has escaped the attack, and still has the control over Owain with his Psychokinesis. Owain is conscious and safe, but he's worried about his cousin.
Owain : Lucina...please...please be safe.
Burning Blaze then walks on the ground toward Lucina. All of this has been really quick, but she knows that she hasn't much time left on this form.
Burning Blaze : You can't stand up from this. The blow should have damaged you to the point that you are nearer to death than to life.
But the Exalt stands up. The Brand of Naga is glowing. The Exalted Falchion is glowing. She is living.
Burning Blaze : Foolish princess...
(Cues Id (Sorrow) - Fire Emblem Awakening)
Lucina then slowly points her blade toward her opponent.
Lucina : I'm not...foolish... I must...
Lucina then runs to Burning Blaze, the Exalted Falchion in her hands.
Lucina : ...WIN !
Lucina then slashes at her opponent, who counters and dodges all the attacks. Lucina then tries to stab Blaze's torso, but Blaze diverts the attack, making Lucina slashing the air. But Lucina steps forward. She stomps the ground with her feet, and moves forward, with all her bravery and might. She slashes at her opponent who just flies to avoid the exalted sword.
Burning Blaze : I think it is now time to end this.
Fire then appears from Blaze's hands. And then fire rises from the ground, forming a circular area of fire. Nothing can be seen of the outside inside the area. The only thing Lucina can see is the fire surrounding her. She then puts her blade into the fire, covering it with flames. She then rushes at Burning Blaze, who avoids the strikes of the Exalt as easy as before . Lucina jumps in order to hit her levitating foe, but Burning Blaze calmly blocks the blow. Blaze then lands on the ground and Lucina rushes at her again.
Tiki's spirit : You always had the spirit of an Exalt, Lucina. You have strenght.
Lucina then strikes at her opponent with all the strenght she has, but Burning Blaze parries the attack pretty easily and pushes her back.
Tiki's spirit : But you also have courage and energy.
Lucina gets right back up, and raises her sword, attempting to perform one last Critical Hit, but Blaze stops the blow.
Tiki's spirit : But most of all, you have love, like the Hero-King before you.
Lucina then stomps the ground and tries to slash at Blaze, again and again.
Tiki's spirit : You had what it takes to save the world, you already did after all. So never forget this : always step forward, using your sword to defend those you love and those you must defend. You will continue to win, and you will probably fall sometimes.
Burning Blaze then moves fast to Lucina and disarms her from the Exalted Falchion. She then places her hand on Lucina's shoulder, as she returns to her base form.
Blaze : You have lost, princess Lucina.
Lucina : No...I haven't lost yet !
Lucina then tries to do a punch at Blaze, but Blaze catches it.
Blaze : That attack that pierced my torso earlier, it doesn't do any damages to me, but actually it does only good. It delivered me from a monster that I sealed inside me, his name was Iblis... Because of that, I'll grant you what you want.
Lucina : Promise me...to not attack my friends.
Blaze : I never had any intentions against them. I...think I understand what type of person you are... So ask a wish for you and yourself only.
Lucina : I...I wish...to see the sky one more time.
Blaze then makes an opening on the top of the burning area, as Lucina looks at it, a tear dropping from her eye.
Tiki's spirit : No, it doesn't matter if you fall because whatever happens...
Lucina : Hope will never die.
The circular area then closes itself, burning everything inside. As it disperses, Blaze appears, tired of the intense fight she just had. Nothing was left of Lucina...except a sword, which pierces the ground of the Mount Prism. Another future Exalt will probably take the sword to continue spreading hope.

Silver joins Blaze, and worries about her being very tired, as Owain takes the Falchion and looks at the sky, a tear dropping from his eye. He is soon joined by Tiki who puts her hand on his shoulder.

Boomstick : Fired and Blamed !
Wiz : Blaze is better in everything even in her base form. She's stronger, more durable, and most of all way faster. She has also the range advantage with her flames, while Lucina only carries melee weapons in her constant arsenal.
Boomstick : Sure, Falchion heals Lucina and can hurt Blaze, but Lucina has to get close to Blaze, and still the cat is more agile than the Exalted Princess. A good Critical Hit could hurt Blaze badly, but it is too random and most of all Blaze could one shot Lucina with her best fire attacks, making the healing ability of Falchion quite useless in the long term. The Rapier is effective against beasts, so it can hurt Blaze but again, the main problem is Blaze's better range and speed.
Wiz : Adding to that the fact that outside Aether, Dual Strike+ and Charm are only useful with allies. Also, if dodging lightning magic is a cool feat, it depends too much on the power of the opponent, as if someone is much more powerful than Lucina, the lightning will most likely hit her. And Blaze has shown total control over her flames, something Lucina has never seen even with fire magic. Even exalting her Falchion will give her only a little boost.
Boomstick : And how to say that Burning Blaze is overkill. A form that can keep up with Super Sonic who goes at light speed is something Lucina can't even hope to compete with, and if Burning Blaze succeeds on weakening the Egg Wizard with an uppercut, she wouldn't have a problem to take down Lucina. The gap in power is so huge that the time limit isn't a trouble at all.
Wiz : It's true that Lucina has more experience but Blaze and her didn't fight the same opponents. By comparison, Lucina defeated Grima with outside help which weakened Grima, which is an entity able to destroy a continent. With the help of Super Sonic, Burning Blaze took down the Egg Wizard which is able to destroy a planet. Ultimately, Blaze fought way more dangerous opponents Lucina ever did, and also way more dangerous opponents than Lucina herself.
Boomstick : From the start, Lucina was ablazed.
Wiz : The winner is Blaze the Cat.

- Lucina is the second Super Smash Bros. playable character fighting in DoomFest's DBs. The first one being Captain Falcon.
- She's however the first Fire Emblem character.
- Blaze is the first Sonic character to fight in DoomFest's DBs.
- This is the second "Girls only" themed fight from DoomFest. The first one being Penny VS Alisa.
- Tiki and Owain from Fire Emblem, and Silver the Hedgehog from Sonic make a cameo into this fight.
