Black Panther VS Lion-O is an episode of JustaChecker290's first season of Death Battle featuring Black Panther from Marvel Comics and Lion-O from Thundercats.

Description[]

Combatants of feline royalty that will do anything to protect their people from harm. In this fight to the finish, we'll see the Wakandan and Thunderian wills pushed to the limit.

Interlude[]

Wiz: Black Panther, the Wakandan King of Marvel Comics.

Boomstick: Lion-O, everyone's favourite talking furry cat man from the 80s.

Wiz: There is a lot of debate about the system of monarchy, a title that was originally earned with respect, should it deserve to be passed down to the next generation simply because of relations.

Boomstick: Well these two animal, ass kicking superheroes prove that the answer..can definitely be Yes. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win a DEATH BATTLE.

Wiz: Often times, many countries around the world share folklore or mysterious or powerful beings that roam the earth, some good and virtuous, some evil and cruel. One such entity, was known as Bast, Panther God.

Boomstick: Bast was so well known that the people of Wakanda respected the hell out of him. Especially after a big meteor came out of nowhere and crashed into the surface of the earth, and after investigating it, they found the meteor gave out a mysterious material that vibrated. Ahh, Vibranium, clever.

Wiz: But an unfortunate side effect came of the meteor, it would turn some of the tribesmen that investigated it into strange, powerful demons. And so, the mightiest tribesman of the time, Olumo Bashega, prayed to the Panther god for an answer. And an answer he got, accepting the power of the god, Olumo was manifested into the first ever Black Panther!

Boomstick: But we're looking too far back. Fast forward a few hundred years, and the Black Panther has become a title of sorts, passed down through the generations, culminating in it's most recent host, T'Challa.

Wiz: T'Challa, son of T'Chaka, was the heir to the throne of Wakanda, one of the world's most powerful due to the country's utilisation of Vibranium, Stronger than Steel, and literally with the capability to steal an object's kinetic energy upon making contact.

Boomstick: But Tragedy struck when T'Chaka was killed by an asshole named Ulysses Klaw, before he tried to kill T'Challa, but T'Chaka shielded himself, killing himself instead of his son. Damn!

Wiz: With a chip on his shoulder unlike any other, T'Challa would set out to find the Heart-Shaped Herb. This herb won't eat your cancer away, but what it will do, is grant you superhuman attributes, and bring you closer to the Panther God. T'Challa would do this following his father's death, to become the next..Black Panther!

Info[]

  • Name: T'Challa
  • Age: 30s-40s
  • Height: '6'0' (183cm)
  • Weight: 200lbs (91kg)
  • Citizenship: Wakanda
  • Likes: His Sister, his Country, Storm
  • Dislikes: Namor, The Snap

Boomstick: Thanks to getting high on that miracle herb, T'Challa is really strong, and really fast, so much so that he can tear metal apart with his bear hands, even while drugged. Or he can thrown Rhinos, which can weigh up to 3 Tons!

Wiz: Or he's dodged a glider thrown by the Hulk, making his reaction speeds over 6 times the speed of sound!

Boomstick: But how can we bring up T'Challa without mentioning his suit. Crafted straight from Vibranium, his suit has the nature to literally steal an object's kinetic energy when hit. Bullets don't bounce off, they freaking stop and fall to the floor.

Cut to Wiz and Boomstick

Wiz: And so, I've constructed Boomstick his very own Vibranium Suit which I will proceed to test the effectiveness of.

Wiz pulls out a giant hammer

Boomstick: Wiz, what are you doing, shit..shit stop! I don't-

Wiz hits Boomstick with the hammer, although nothing happens

Wiz: Wow, the vibranium worked even better than I expected.

Boomstick: Hey Wiz, what's that behind you?

Wiz Turns around

Wiz: Oh that *Laughs* Oh that's....that's...the..Vibranium Suit you were meant to be wearing

Boomstick folds his arms as Wiz looks back at him in confusion and fear

Wiz: *Cough* Moving along. The Panther Habit is capable of far more. It can deploy specific frequencies to counter mid-air projectiles, camouflage, sprout wings, and even have their own wrist mounted laser cannons, although T'Challa usually prefers to use them to stun an opponent, rather than killing them.

Panther Habit[]

  • Projectile Counter Frequency
  • Binding Foil
  • Glider Wings
  • Energised Gauntlets
  • Delivery System
  • Kinetic Energy Blasts
  • Speed Transduction

Boomstick: It even gives him his own set of metal, and anti-metal claws, the latter being designed to cut through most metals. He even has an energy Siphon Dagger especially designed for dealing with Assassins!

Wiz: T'Challa is a master strategist and intelligence so potent he has a photographic memory, and, has been placed among the eight most intelligent beings on Earth, alongside Tony Stark and Reed Richards, the former having acknowledged T'Challa's wits,

Boomstick: And he wouldn't be a street tier Marvel character without his mastery over martial arts, he's one of the best martial artists to ever walk the earth, having defeated countless other martial arts masters like Daredevil, Iron Fist and even Steve Rodgers.

Wiz: Another side effect of the Heart Shaped Herb is T'Challa's expertly enhanced senses. His taste, hearing, precognition, and sense of small were rapidly heightened. Although a downside of this is his increased sensitivity bright light, loud sounds or strong smells can easily overwhelm him when put in the right situations.

Boomstick: Luckily, that's unlikely due to his super cool technology he has backing him up in a fight. Like the Teleportation Machine, that does..exactly what it does on the tin. Or he can utilise the jedi inside of him and use the stored up kinetic energy to Push the opponent away

Weapons[]

  • Metal Claws
  • Energy Dampening Boots
  • Disguise Technology
  • Teleportation Machine
  • Shield of light
  • Force Push
  • Vibranium Energy Daggers

Wiz: T'Challa also has dual Vibranium Daggers which he can use for engaged close range combat. He can use them to kill, or just stun an opponent. T'Challa can even weld them into a spear or even a scythe.

Boomstick: But perhaps his coolest tool yet is the Wakanda Hulkbuster! A big awesome mecha suit designed to take out Amadeus Cho, a Gamma Celled Hulk..guy.

Wakanda Hulkbuster from Totally Awesome Hulk Vol 1 9 001

Wiz: Perhaps one of T'Challa's more...unorthodox powers is his title as King of the Dead! T'Challa possesses adept mastery of Necromancy, allowing him to literally raise zombies and ghosts from the dead to aid him in battle. Or he can create additional weapons by using spirit energy constructs.

Boomstick: He even has hyper-cosmic awareness after being exposed to Galactus's Mind. He can even sense when Vibranium is being stolen from his country, man that's dedication.

Wiz: T'Challa has wielded the Spear of Bashega, a powerful spear used by the original Black Panther Bashega himself, remember him?

Boomstick: Or Even cooler, T'Challa can utilise the Skybreaker! An awesome sword forged in ancient Wakanda passed through the Black Panther bloodline, that of course includes T'Challa. It can absorb energy into itself, it's virtually indestructible and can even resist extreme heat.

Wiz: The Panther has got toe to toe with other Marvel heralds such as Iron Man, The Hulk and Wolverine. He even managed to decapitate a Doom-Bot with a karate chop, a feat worth over 60'000 Pounds per square inch.

Boomstick: But perhaps is most impressive feat of them all, managing to marry Storm!

Wiz: Despite their romance being short lived, Storm was officially known as the Queen of Wakanda for a short amount of time.

Boomstick: But don't think marriage turned him soft, because no matter what, no matter the situation, whatever threat comes Wakanda's way, you'd better hope you're not on the one to cause it!

Lion-O[]

(Thundercats Theme Song)

Screen Shot 2024-03-02 at 15.46

Boomstick: Thundera! Possibly one of the coolest 80s planets of all time. A brilliant red orb in the sky with an atmosphere able to shield it's inhabitants from any elements from outer space. What were those inhabitants? Furries. And lots of them.

Wiz: Thundera was home to the Thunderians, a race of feline cat people that widely dominated the planet. Among those Thunderians was Claudus, the current Lord of the Thundercats. Head of an elite group of Thunderians responsible for keeping the planet in line.

Boomstick: But to be the Lord of the furries, there are some specific rules you have to follow. Truth, Loyalty, Honour and Justice. Man, I don't see myself becoming Lord any time soon.

Wiz: It's unlikely you would anyway Boomstick, as after the Sword of Plun-Darr was cast into a volcano. The resulting impact caused the planet to detonate. But Luckily, the son of Claudus, Lion-O was sent away on an escape pod along with five other Thunderian nobles, saving their lives.

Boomstick: Interestingly though, the escape pod accidentally made him...age ten years. Who the hell designed that part?

Wiz: Unfortunately for Lion-O, the age skip while increasing his physical body, did not..increase his intelligence. Leaving him as a child, in the body of an adult. Hmmm, reminds me of someone I know.

Boomstick: Luckily for Lion-O, he's the new king of the Thundercats, so he has more than enough cool cat powers to fend himself off from evil.

Info[]

  • Name: Lion-O
  • Age: 22 (Physically) 12 (Mentally)
  • Height: '6'4' (193cm)
  • Weight: 225lbs (102kg)
  • King of the Thundercats
  • Likes: Cats, His People
  • Dislikes: Mumm-Rah

Wiz: As a feline humanoid, Lion-O has enhanced physical senses. Such as increased strength, allowing him to pull ships through the air, durability, reflexes fast enough to allow him to react to lightning, sight, even smell.

Boomstick: The only thing I wouldn't wanna be smelling is the inside of that escape pod. Jeesh.

Wiz: Lion-O despite being mentally only twelve years old, is quite the strategist when it comes to battles. He has been shown to use quick-wits, and can even diffuse threats under any circumstances.

Boomstick: And he's also got the Heart of a Hero and all that, ready to face danger at any cost to protect his friends and allies, even if that means putting himself in the way. Man, why couldn't I be this cool at twelve.

Wiz: Thanks to being the King of the Thundercats, Lion-O possesses the ability to communicate and even control cats of all shapes and sizes.

Cut to Wiz and Boomstick

Music Grows more intense

Boomstick: Hold on Wiz, isn't that a little weird. Wouldn't that be like..us humans being able to talk to monkeys. Wait a minute. Does that imply that the Thunderians evolved from cats? Do they..experiment on cats like we do on monkeys? Wiz..please tell me you have answers!

Wiz: It's an 80s Cartoon featuring a man who looks like a cat. Don't think about it too hard Boomstick.

Boomstick Folds his arms

Boomstick: Fair enough!

Cut back to the show

Wiz: Lion-O wields the Claw Shield, a fur gauntlet he wears on his left arm that can be used for blocking attacks, acting as a scabbard for weapons, can fire grappling hooks, can excrete a green gas which can blind enemies, and even has a built in mirror.

Boomstick: Wouldn't it just break? Seems inefficient..who cares anyway, it's cool as hell.

Wiz: But perhaps Lion-O's greatest asset in battle is his sword. But not just any sword, perhaps the greatest weapon in the history of Thundera! The sword of Omens! Passed through the generations before directly landing in Lion-O's hands.

The Sword of Omens[]

  • Retractable
  • Can generate electricity
  • Can reflect energy
  • Extremely Sharp
  • Powered by the Eye of Thundera

Boomstick: And this is probably the best sword that could have been passed through the generations. The Sword of Omens can extend into a full sword or just retract into a cool little dagger. It can reflect energy back, cut through titanium and even electrocute foes.

Wiz: But what is the source of the sword's incredible power you may ask? Well it's simple. Embedded in the hilt of the Sword is possibly the most powerful artefact in Thunderian history, the eye of Thundera!

Boomstick: The Eye of Thundera grants the user immense power of course, and even Sight upon sight. All he has to do to summon the sword to his side is say 'Thunder Thunder Thunder Thundercats Ho!' I mean, if I made a sword, I'd make the words to summon it to my side a little shorter. Like 'Beer' or 'Thunder' or something.

Wiz: Questionable catchphrase aside, The eye of Thundera represents all of Thunderian life. In simple terms, if the eye is destroyed, so will every Thunderian alive!

Boomstick: Wait? So if the eye goes boom, then every Cat-Man and Woman bites the dust?

Wiz: Yes, that's why it's incredibly important that Lion-O guard the eye at all times, or suffer the extinction of his entire species.

Boomstick: Well that was a good idea to put in a sword, where y'know..powerful people are launching attacks at you that could potentially shatter the eye?!

Wiz: You may like it after hearing this! When the Eye of Thundera is present, the Sword can manipulate temperatures to extreme heat or extreme cold, create and manipulate forcefields, launch out a giant laser beam to vaporise foes, and even Hold an entire planet together with it's pure energy.

Boomstick: Never mind Wiz, get me one of those in my leg ASAP.

(Thundercats - Closing Theme)

Wiz: With powerful weapons and abilities by his side, Lion-O and his allies would continue to perserevere in a seemingly never ending battle against Mumm-Ra, the villain who'd set out against them so long ago.

Boomstick: And, after the Thunderians would permanently decide to return to New Thundera, a reconstructed planet of their home-world. Damn, okay, I guess they're splitting away from the Goku and Superman route now.

Wiz: Lion-O would even discover that his father figure Claudus, who had supposedly died all those years ago on Thundera, was actually still alive in a plane of existence known as the Spirit World. Where he would continue to communicate with Lion-O.

Boomstick: And then, Lion-O and Mumm-Ra would finally approach each other once again for a dramatic final battle inside a book..and...and...AND? The show got cancelled. Oh..okay. All that build up was for nothing.

Wiz: Despite the future being..unclear for this iteration of Lion-O, one thing still remains clear. Whatever evil comes his way, no matter how strong, no matter how evil, Lion-O will continue to fight for his people, for as long as he lives.

Thank you my friends! Now to get myself out of here

Pre-Fight[]

Wiz: The combatants are set and we've run the data through all possibilities!

Boomstick: It's time for a CAT BAATTTLLLEEE!

Death Battle[]

(Legendary War OST)

"COME ON WARRIORS!" A voice shouted. "PUSH THROUGH!" In broad daylight, six Thunderian Nobles made their way up a green, grassy landscape. They were in Wakanda. All around then, beautiful archictcture and buildings surrounded them. It was almost like they had taken a time machine directly into the future. This place, almost seemed..unreal. Any other time it would have been nice to stop and look around, but the Thunderians were here for a different reason. At the front of the pack, stood Lion-O, the Sword of Omens in hand. Right beside him, stood the Thunderian Architect, Tygra. In his hand, was a medium lengthed whip, at the end of the whip, three balls were positioned at the ready.

"It appears my lord that we are nearing the Wakandan Castle." Tygra said. Lion-O nodded his head, his mouth closed and eyes focussed and ready slitted pupils darting around at any sight of trouble, and peering up at the large castle that stood in the distance ahead of them, it's tall, black columns arching high into the sky.

"I must say." Tygra thought. "The Wakandans certainly know how to design a piece of architecture. It's magnificent." On the other side of Lion-O stood Panthro, the muscle of the group, his blue, rugged fur whistling in the wind.

"I sure hope these Wakandans are as good of fighters as they say they are." He growled, barring his teeth. Clasped in his hands were his signature red and blue nunchucks, poised at the ready to cause some real damage. Directly behind Lion-O stood Cheetara, her staff held in both hands, the point of said staff gleaming wickedly, ready for combat.

"Everyone stay close to me. Don't drift too far away from each other." Behind the initial quartet of Thunderians were the two twins, Willykit, and Willykat.

"Let's crush these guys!" Willykit exclaimed.

"Listen to Cheetara." Willykat warned. "Stay close to me." His sister rolled her eyes. At the front of the pack, Lion-O's heart raced a little faster, his limbs moving quicker. His knuckles were turning slightly white as his grip on his sword increased. The Castle was no more than half a mile in front of them. If they were going to have any chance of getting what they wanted, they had to be strong. All of them so.

"You aren't usually the silent type." Tygra remarked, nodding towards his king.

"All I can hope is that there is a suitable supply of Vibranium remaining for us." Lion-O mused. "It may be our only chance to repair our ship!"

Far away from the Thunderians, inside Wakanda's castle, throughout the many winding corridors and passageways, King T'Challa sat at his throne. The room bright, the large windows just behind him displaying the vast greenery of Wakanda. His face was in his hands, his fingers caressing his temples. To be honest, T'Challa wasn't at his most content. He'd heard about a group of maunderers on the lose that was after his supply of Vibranium. And not just some of it, all of it. He had been kept up all night at the possibility of it. All of a sudden, there was a slow, ringing knock at his door.

"Enter." T'Challa spoke in a quiet, calm voice. His eyes shot up to the doorway. The door swung open and a Wakandan noble stood in place, arms stiff at their sides, a cold demeanour plastered across their body.

"My King." The noble said. Their face stone, a concerned expression on their face. "The people after our Vibranium have arrived." Upon hearing this, T'Challa jumped to his feet, his hands balled into tight fists.

"What should our plan of action be?" The noble asked.

"Deploy the army." T'Challa spoke. "Everyone. Everything. They cannot take our supply, no matter what." The noble nodded before walking backwards out of the doorway, leaving. T'Challa turned his body around so he could see the outside, strolling up to the window gap, his arms folded across his chest as he spied the vast greenery of Wakanda in front of his castle. He narrowed his eyes as six multicoloured figures made their way over the horizon.

"Oh boy." Cheetara remarked. "This isn't looking good. She was right. Lion-O looked ahead of them, where they had nearly made their way to the presence of the castle, a crowd was making their way over to them. Not just a small crowd, a large one. Hundreds, if not thousands of people clad in armour were making their way towards them.

"Halt." Lion-O exclaimed. Everyone stopped in their tracks. "Everyone do their best to fend the crowd off. I will make my way to front of it. I would expect nothing less than the king of Wakanda to have a personal appointment with me. No one shall advance on his aside from me. Understood?" The other five nodded, the weight of the incoming battle sinking into each of them. Panthro tightened the arm holding his nunchucks.

"Then let's give our king a clear pathway to victory." He growled.

"I agree." Tygra said. "Let us do our best." And so the Thunderians held their ground and prepared themselves for the worst. On the other side of the equation, the full force of the Wakandan army came charging over the hill. Thousands of soliders sporting various weapons such as swords, clubs, axes and guns raged over the hill. At the front of the army, stood M'Baku and Okeye.

"Don't leave a single one of them left!" M'Baku roared.

"Take them one at a time." Okeye added to the army. Back on the Thunderian's end, Tygra held out the arm holding his whip. The cords at the end of the whip soon extended before they wrapped around his entire body. And soon, Tygra's whole body turned invisible. Both Wilykat and Wilykit grinned with glee as they brought out two identical hover boards that had been attached to both of their backs, before they rocketed forwards. Cheetara and Panthro dashed forwards as Lion-O gripped his sword before he too, dashed forwards, The two sides of the battle then slowly but surely merged forwards, and then, you could hear a pin drop as the two sides launched towards each other, and then, a split second later, it happened. There was screaming, yelling, and the sounds of swords swinging. Wilykat and Wilykit rode over the Wakandan army, countless bombs dropping from their arms as their hoverboards raced out of reach of the Wakandans.

"GET OUT OF THERE!" A voice cried. A second later, the bombs started detonating. Wakandans were sent sailing through the air as loud BOOMS exploded across the battlefield. Meanwhile, Lion-O effortlessly weaved, sliced and slashed his way through the Wakandan army, his sword cutting through the soilders like butter. They simply scattered to the side. Panthro and Cheetara guarded Lion-O's rear, their weapons flailing and stabbing to negate any Wakandans trying to surprise the king from behind. It was almost like the three of them were in a huge, powerful circle of soldiers coming at them from all angles, but they were of course more than prepared for it. Meanwhile, an invisible Tygra slipped through the soldier's defences, his intangible body making it a treat.

"I must make it easier for the king." He thought. And then, retracting the cords of his whips, he began fighting as hard as he could against the Wakandan soldiers near the back of the army.

"Watch out!" M'Baku called. "One of them has breached our defences!" Tygra tensed his legs and jumped forward to attack more of the soldiers.

T'Challa stared down the space out of his window. His soldiers were doing the best they could, but alas, it was not enough. The six mysterious beings here for his Vibranium were doing better. Hundreds of his people were already lying on the floor, injured or worse. T'Challa's fists balled yet again, his fingernails digging into his skin, his teeth were clenched.

"They are all counting on me." T'Challa thought. "I have to win this. For them." In a single great leap, T'Challa jumped out of the window, as he raced down to the ground, his right hand reached behind himself until it touched a panel on his back. Almost instantaneously, a spot on his back started expanding in a sort of metallic substance, it expanded all over his body until at lost it reached his face.

"The Black Panther will save the day!" T'Challa landed on the ground with a mighty thud.

Lion-O looked up in surprise as he saw a black-clad figured racing towards him, in a sort of..panther costume.

"Cheetara, Panthro, There he is!" Lion-O exclaimed, his heart racing. "Fall back Thunderians. Leave this battle to me now!" Panthro and Cheetara nodded just in time for Lion-O to jumped off the ground towards T'Challa, his sword swinging in a wide arc.

"I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO TAKE MY COUNTRY'S WORK!" T'Challa bellowed.

"You can certainly try!" Lion-O grinned, as he heaved into his sword swing. T'Challa thrust his claws forward. The two attacks collided as a loud, powerful ring ran out all across Wakanda, shaking even the trees at the far end of the battlefield.

FIGHT[]

(Brandon Yates - Chima Forever)

After the initial clang rang out over the battlefield, T'Challa and Lion-O were both sent back a little.

"The battle is on!" Lion-O bellowed, rushing forward for a slicing attack. T'Challa grunted as he caught the full force of the sword swing, before he shifted his weight onto his back leg. T'Challa heaved his body backwards while holding onto Lion-O's sword, causing the latter to tumble through the air. Surprised at the assault, Lion-O landed on a single hand, the other sporting his sword, with a single push, the king of the Thunderians launched himself through the air for another sword slash. T'Challa saw this coming and ducked under the swing, as quick as he could, his leading fist shot out for an uppercut to Lion-O's stomach. Gasping for air, Lion-O stumbled backwards, his sword still guarding and at the ready.

"Why don't you leave now and save us all valuable time!" T'Challa exclaimed, flexing the sharp claws on each of his hands as he did so. Lion-O gritted his teeth and held his sword high.

"For the good of my people, I will use your resources to find my way home!" Lion-O dashed forward, slashing his sword at every angle possible. T'Challa kept his opponent at a distance, using his agility and skill to parry, weave and dodge his foe's sword swings.

"I can't land a single hit!" Lion-O thought. With a determined exhale, Lion-O stuck his leg out in a meek kick, but at the same time, he swung his sword as quick as he could towards T'Challa's torso. The kick was blocked, but the sword swing was another story, however, as Lion-O followed through with his attack, his sword suddenly stopped upon making contact with Black Panther's armour. Instead of bouncing away or richoteching, it just stopped, as though an invisible force had stopped him, just as he made contact.

"Impossible." Lion-O thought. As his opponent stood there in disbelief, T'Challa jumped into the air, aiming a sharp kick to Lion-O's jaw, which knocked him back. T'Challa followed up with a vary of punches and kicks, this at first took Lion-O off guard, but he soon regained his balance and started blocking the king's strikes, returning with his own sword swings, however they too, were blocked by T'Challa's well timed guards. Eventually, at the same time, T'Challa swung in for a punch, just as Lion-O reared back his sword. And in unison, the two combatants made their move. What resulted was the both of them stumbling back until they were mere feet apart from each other. Waiting in anticipation, they began circling each other, both of them with their guards raised, waiting for the other to make a move.

"This stalemate will get us nowhere." T'Challa commented. And after pressing a panel on his wrist, Lion-O saw this as an opening and charged forwards, his blade poised to strike, but in a sudden instant, T'Challa vanished into thin air. Stopping in surprise, Lion-O stared round the battlefield, his nobles still doing their best to fend off the Wakandan army, but yet, his opponent had vanished. Meanwhile the disguise technology on T'Challa's suit was working perfectly, now completely invisible, he charged towards a distracted Lion-O, and with a slash of his arm, raked his claws down the Thunderian's back. Exclaiming in surprise, he turned around with a sword swing, but his invisible foe still wasn't there. Now that his opponent had fallen right into his trap, T'Challa kept attacking, a different angle each time, with a claw slash to Lion-O's unguarded figure. After another slash, Lion-O suddenly had an idea, his breathing slowed, as he looked down into his sword, the eye of Thundera gleaming dimly.

"Sword of Omens." He muttered. T'Challa meanwhile was readying himself for another slash. "GIVE ME SIGHT BEYOND SIGHT!" All of a sudden, Lion-O peered over his shoulder. Just as he expected, the eye was now glowing, and T'Challa was as clear as day.

"Can he see me?" T'Challa thought, as he dashed forwards, his claws extended. The answer was a resounding 'Yes' as when T'Challa tried to attack Lion-O, he was met with a sword swing to the chest, followed up by a fast flurry of slashes, finishing with Lion-O raising the sword above his head, the blade crackling with electricity before he struck it down. The tip of the blade hit T'Challa in the solar plexus, a split second later, a powerful current of electricity raged through the king. Frozen with pain as the current flowed through him, out of pure instinct, T'Challa stuck out a fist to Lion-O's face. This was just enough of a distraction for T'Challa to back up, flip onto his hands, before ramming both of his legs into Lion-O's chest. The wing was knocked out of the King of Thundera as he flew onto his back. As his opponent fell onto his back, T'Challa aimed both of his wrists towards his floored opponent. Two, gun like objects sprouted from his wrists and started firing small pellets of laser blasts. Lion-O saw this coming and quickly jabbed his sword into the dirt. Upon doing so, a powerful forcefield rose above the king, guarding him from T'Challa's lasers.

"Most Intelligent." T'Challa thought. And then, squeezing his fists together, blue energy started charging in his claws before eventually, it reached out, extending until the blue energy had overtaken his fists, so they resembled gauntlets. T'Challa then lunged forwards towards the forcefield, hitting it has hard as he could. However his fists merely bounced off the forcefield, a slight burning noise could be heard each time the gauntlets touched the forcefield. But Lion-O was crouched down, with his sword embedded in the earth, he was gripping the hilt, waiting for the right time to strike. At last, when he saw an opening, with T'Challa had just finished a punch, Lion-O pulled his sword out of the earth. In an instant, the forcefield vanished, and T'Challa was free to attack. But Lion-O was ready, with a whoosh, the blade of his sword rapidly extended, until it was completely ensnared around the king of Wakanda. He tried to break free, but the sword was just too strong.

"Now you're right where I want you!" Lion-O exclaimed, before he started spinning round, faster and faster, making it harder for T'Challa to break free, until finally he used his momentum to heave T'Challa high into the air before he slammed his opponent down into the earth, resulting in a loud Thud. Lion-O then shrank his sword down until it was merely the size of a dagger.

"Now to get in close and finish this." He thought. T'Challa, despite being on the floor, quickly rose to his feet, the gauntlets on his hands still holding up. Lion-O was already on top of it, using his now dagger to try and break through his armour. The king used his gauntlets to block, defend against the quickening slashes of Lion-O's dagger, until finally, T'Challa sidestepped a swing, and slammed his fist into the Thunderian's chest. Lion-O was surprised at the high temperature, and gasped in shock as he was sent rocketing backwards, he could have travelled further, but luckily he dug his dagger into the earth to slow him down. As he came to a stop, Lion-O changed the dagger back into a full sword.

"Why must you still persist." T'Challa said, slowly walking forwards, cancelling his gauntlets by flexing his palms. "All this will result in is more bloodshed for both of our people." Lion-O took his eyes of his opponent to look around at the destruction. There were plenty of injured Wakandans, but what stuck out to him was Panthro, blood dripping down from his side, a knife having been stabbed into his ribs.

"You are outnumbered." T'Challa said. "It would be wise of you to retreat." Lion-O, despite the adrenalin running through his veins, for a single second, his fighting instincts vanished, thinking of the hundreds of lives he'd already ended at the mere prospect of his mission. But yet, he remembered why he was here. He had to persist. T'Challa growled, digging his heels into the earth, before all of a sudden, he dashed forward, his claws extending out to rip at Lion-O's throat. The Thunderian stepped back and parried T'Challa's blow, before he stepped forward and aimed for a stab. The Wakandan was quicker, suddenly dropping to the floor. T'Challa leaped into the air, his body arched like that of a Panther, ready to tear his opponent limb from limb. But Lion-O kicked forward, both of his feet slamming into T'Challa's stomach. The Wakandan sailed through the air, but landed on all four limbs. Lion-O rose to his feet, the eye of Thundera in his sword now glowing bright red.

"My nobles are worth a thousand-fold of yours." Lion-O growled as the eye suddenly burst into a bright red light. On T'Challa's end, he tensed his muscles. He had no idea what his opponent was going to throw at him next, and he was sure he didn't want to find out what that glowing gem was capable of.

"SWORD OF OMENS!" Lion-O yelled. "GIVE ME POWER..BEYOND POWER!!!" The Eye let out a faint wailing noise as all of a sudden, a deadly powerful red laser beam of energy erupted from the eye, heading right towards T'Challa. Instantly, his reflexes told him to move. The beam was shooting right towards him, and fast. Black Panther jumped, jumped to the right as the beam came roaring past him into the distance.

"Oh no you don't." Lion-O mused. With a heavy grunt of effort, Lion-O turned his sword to the right, and so, the beam followed. T'Challa had just enough time to look to his right as the beam circled back and hit him with full force. Shielding his face from the bright light, T'Challa was shot right off his feet as the beam carried him into the air and pushed him back. Lion-O allowed the beam to carry out for a moment more before he stopped. In front of him, was a long crater of destruction, and his opponent was nowhere to be seen. But something told him, this wasn't over. Even if it was, he had to make sure. Lion-O looked down into the eye in the hilt of his sword.

"Sword of Omens." He uttered. "Give me sight, beyond sight!" He was right. Just as Lion-O expected, he could see T'Challa, hiding away in a bush nearby to where their battle had been taking place. Lion-O turned around to see his Thunderians, struggling against the masses of Wakandans.

"I will be back." He promised, more to himself than his people. After that, Lion-O turned west, and headed quickly in the direction of where the eye told him the king was hiding. He already knew that he had to act quickly. The impression he got from T'Challa already was that he wasn't the type to hang about in one place. Lion-O swiftly made his way over to the nearby forest, his guard shifting as he uncertainly made his way up to the forest's edge.

(Pokemon Legends Arceus - Eterna Forest)

Taking a deep breath, Lion-O entered the forest, the tall trees casting a dark shadow over his head. The further he made his way in, the darker it got. Soon, the bright light behind him quickly became that of the past, as it grew harder and harder to see where he was going. But he had the eye of Thundera on his side to guide him.

"Give me sight beyond sight." He whispered to the eye, not wanting his presence to be alerted to his opponent. The eye glowed in the dim light, giving him a reliable answer.

T'Challa was crouched down, his breathing was as silent as it could possibly be. Parts of his armour were scratched and burned from where the beam had hit him, parts of his body even ached, but he knew that this fight was far from over. Current, he was high in a tree, his eyes were focused down on the Fur clad warrior leaning into the hilt of his sword in the clearing down below him.

"You won't know what hit you." The king of Wakanda thought, as quietly as he could, he extended his metal claws, as his legs tensed, growing ready for an attack.

The king of the Thundercats too, was readying himself. In truth, he knew exactly where T'Challa was hiding, right behind him, high up in a tree, the eye had told him that much, but he must not let his opponent know that, that would risk everything. His sword was extended to it's standard length, his breathing steady, his arms and hips were ready to swing around at any moment to deliver a fatal blow.

T'Challa waited even more. Something though, made him hesitate, for some reason, deep down in his gut, something was telling him not to attack. The only sound that could be heard was the slight whistling of the wind, the leaves on the trees swaying in the breeze.

Lion-O was still waiting, why had T'Challa not attacked him yet? T'Challa had definitely spotted him. His red hair stuck out like a sore thumb, especially in a green and dark place like a forest. And the king was right behind him, why wasn't he attacking?

The king of Wakanda curled his hands into tight fists. No longer was he going to hide like a scared little cat in a tree, waiting for his opponent to make the first move. It was now or never,

Lion-O focused, his muscles were staring to ache from how long he had been in a perpetual state of getting ready to attack. A single bead of sweat trickled down the side of his head,

BANG! It all happened so fast. As quick as a flash, T'Challa kicked his legs off of the tree branch he was positioned on, as he rocketed right towards Lion-O, his claws extended in a wide arc to cut his opponent down to size. A deep, roaring battle cry exited his throat. Lion-O heard the movement, heard the sound, and acted upon impulse. His own battle cry echoing from his mouth, he spun around, quick as a flash, his hips and arms moving on their own, as he struck out his sword. The sword of omens, and T'Challa's claws made contact yet again, as sparks flew through the air. Said sparks have a brief wave of light, allowing both of the warriors to stare into each other's cold, determined faces. T'Challa's feet touched the ground, as he dived forwards, seizing Lion-O around the waist in a powerful tackle that knocked the king of Thundera off his feet. The two of them were sent tumbling across the ground, Lion-O's sword and T'Challa's fists both flailing out at each other in an attempt to push the other away from them. The two's wrestling was suddenly halted as they crashed through a bush in the forest, both of them lay on their backs as sunlight poured into their eyes.

(Brandon Yates - Disaster Level: Wolf)

The pair of them appeared to be in an arena of sorts. And there were two people fighting in said arena. One was a tall man, wearing an orange gi, long black hair flowing down his back.

"The wolf-fang fisted warrior Yamcha makes his attack!" A loud voice announced, as the man lunged forwards, his fist glowing white with pure energy, against a similarly enthusiastic looking warrior. The second warrior was clad in orange and yellow, a bandana covering his eyes. The second warrior blocked the incoming attack from his opponent, before returning with his own uppercut to his foe's jaw.

"Oh, what a turn of events! It appears Iron Fist has made a counter attack!" Both T'Challa and Lion-O turned to each other in utter confusion, both not quite sure what to make of the situation unfolding right before them. When all of a sudden, Yamcha and Iron Fist stopped fighting, noticing the two kings watching their fight.

"Who are they?" Iron Fist questioned, halting his counter attack.

"Beats me!" Yamcha laughed. "The two of them look pretty funny if you ask me. Like giant furry men!"

"Shut up! Your signature attack is literally called Wolf-Fang fist."

"Don't start on me about attack names!" Choosing not to survey the following quarel, T'Challa jumped to his feet and tackled Lion-0 back the way they came, back through the bushes right behind them. In the dense greenery, the two of them struggled some more, before they eventually came flying out of another opening in the bushes.

(Therewolf Media - Legends never die)

The wind whistled quietly across a baron landscape, a patch of tumbleweed blowing in the dust. T'Challa and Lion-O stopped fighting again, looking around at their surroundings yet again.

"How did we even get here?" T'Challa wondered in disbelief. They had more questions to answer though. Behind the pair of them, two towering brutes of warriors stood tall. The first being a portly man wearing a large coat, a mop of pink hair atop his head, a seeming juxtaposition to his hulking figure. But that didn't compare to the man he was fighting against. A seven foot tall beast of a being, bleach white skin, with an even scarier looking coat.

"You're less experienced than I thought" The pink haired man exclaimed. "Dissapointing." The scarier man turned around to face the two kings that were watching them.

"Did you bring backup Jack?" The man sneered. "A coward's choice!"

"No way!" Jack responded, with disgust in his voice. "Hey! Where'd you two even get your costumes anyway! They look like garbage!" Lion-O exclaimed, not believing someone would go to the extent to insult his royal attire.

"This suit is far more advanced that what you would realise." T'Challa remarked. Jack rolled his eyes.

"How about you show me right now pal!" Before things could get more heated, Lion-O drew his sword and swung it to the left, hitting T'Challa in the stomach and knocking him back, before Lion-O dived after him, the two returning to the dense bushes they found themselves in yet again. Not wanting to imagine what colourful cast of characters they would encounter next, Lion-O stabbed his sword into the ground, but he timed the strike too late, it instead only briefly halted his momentum, causing him to crash into T'Challa as the two were sent flying through the air yet again.

(Brandon Yates - Master of Monsters)

If Lion-O and T'Challa thought the first stadium they witnessed was crazy, none of it would compare to what the both of them would see next. A simply huge stadium, with tens of thousands of people cheering in the stands. A small, yellow mouse like creature was battling against a yellow clad warrior, both of them were shooting lightning blasts out of their limbs. Lion-O simply stood in surprise, the countless screens all over the stadium casting a sought of hypnosis over his face.

"SCREW YOU!" The yellow clad man yelled from inside the stadium.

"PIKA PIKA!" The yellow mouse replied. T'Challa turned to his stunned opponent. Not taking the Thunderian king as the up to date savvy type, he positioned himself behind Lion-O, before grabbing him a judo hold, before heaving the two of them backwards, back into the bushes yet again. For the fourth type, T'Challa and Lion-O struggled in the bushes, both of them hoping this would be the last time they fell into a wormhole to another plane of being.

(Therewolf Media - Elements of Alchemy Timestamp 00:24)

This time, when the two of them fell out of the bushes, they were more surprised than ever. The two of their heads made contact with concrete, instead of the usual grass they were used to. Both of them jumped up in unison, they were standing in a street of sorts. People were making their way back and fourth throughout their day, minding their own business, apart from the two people in the middle of the street an older woman, and a younger man, throwing back and fourth what appeared to be a grey slime. The older woman turned to the confused pair standing in the street.

"A little help!" She called. Lion-O moved first, his sword drawn, advancing on the younger man, who did his best to blast the King away with a flurry of metallic punches. Lion-O blocked all the punches with quick blocks of his sword, before it suddenly extended, wrapping around the man like he'd done to T'Challa previously.

"You gotta be kidding me." The man growled, before he suddenly yelled, a wave of energy allowing him to break free of Lion-O's makeshift trap and send the king flying back through the air. As he did so, Lion-O collided with T'Challa. The two of them were sent flying through the bushes once again. Both of them growled in effort trying to get to their feet in an attempt to control their struggle this time. This time, when they crashed through the bushes, thank the heavens this time their feet made contact with solid forest ground. All around them were trees, and bushes. They were back where they started! Now they were back where they were supposed to be, Lion-O and T'Challa were snapped into their fighting spirit yet again. The two of them began circling each other again, both of their guards raised.

(Brandon Yates - Chima Forever)

This time, Lion-O was the first to make a move, he dashed forward, his sword at the ready, when all of a sudden, T'Challa vanished. Lion-O looked around in confusion, as all of a sudden. T'Challa was stationed behind him. Lion-O swerved round for another strike, but his opponent blinked out of sight yet again. This time, when T'Challa reappeared, he was stationed at the top of a tree. Using a branch, the king cater-paulted himself down at blinding speed to deliver a swift double footed kick to Lion-O's chest. The Thunderian stumbled back, but then the eye of Thundera blinked, flooding Lion-O's brain with realisation.

"He's using a teleportation machine!" He realised. "In that case, I won't give him anywhere to teleport to." Lion-O swiftly extended his sword, until it was the entire width of the clearing of the forest, then, with a grunt of effort, Lion-O swung his sword around so it was bound to hit the Panther. T'Challa blinked a few times, out of distance of the sword, until he was right in front of Lion-O, then, he teleported again, until he was mid air behind Lion-0. T'Challa stuck a leg out to kick his opponent in the back of the head, but this time, Lion-O was ready. He thrust his sword upwards, so the blade curved around from where it was and struck Black Panther in the chest. And then, after the eye blinked, a powerful current was sent crackling through the king as the Sword of Omens burst into electricity. Learning from last time, T'Challa quickly forced his own body off the sword and landed on his feet. Lion-O, seeing this as an opening, dashed forward.

"He'll never see this one coming." T'Challa thought. Lion-O lunged, and at the same time, swung his sword diagonally so it hit T'Challa with the full force of his attack. The second the swing made contact with his armour, a small beeping noise detonated within T'Challa's mind. As Lion-O prepared himself for another attack, the king of Wakanda suddenly extended his palm out towards his foe.

"What is he doing!" Lion-O thought. "This is no time for charades!" He'd get his answer, as a second later, a powerful gust of force was expelled from T'Challa's hand, knocking Lion-O off his feet and pinning him against a tree. As much as he tried, he couldn't get free.

"What kind of sorcery is this?" Lion-O grunted, barely being able to move.

"You see." T'Challa said, still holding the weight of the push. "This whole battle, my suit has been storing energy from each of your blows. Not just deflecting it's kinetic energy, but absorbing it! That final swing was just enough energy for me to do this."

"I don't believe it!" Lion-O thought. T'Challa stopped the wave of energy, but not before leaning his body forwards. Finally free, Lion-O's body dropped to the floor. He barely had enough time to breathe before the Wakandan dashed forwards with more speed than he knew for a powerful punch to his foe's gut. Lion-O gasped for air as T'Challa uppercutted his foe, before leaning onto his back, and flying forwards with a powerful double kick to send Lion-O barrelling through a cascade of trees. Following up with this, T'Challa dashed forward again, with another kinetic boosted punch to send Lion-O flying through another batch of trees, and another, and another.

"Your kinetic energy is providing most useful to me!" T'Challa explained in between punches.

"I can't let this carry on!" Lion-O thought after another punch. Reaching onto his left side, Lion-O grabbed a mound of brown fur that had seemingly been useless until now. Pulling the gauntlet off his belt, after T'Challa aimed another kinetic boosted punch, Lion-O raised his gauntlet. T'Challa's attack was halted as the Thunderian parried the attack, he then reeled his arm back something different to an attack.

"I can't keep hitting him with brute force." Lion-O. "Lest he risk using my stolen energy again." Lion-O flexed the gauntlet. A split second later, a mass of green energy was expelled from the gauntlet. T'Challa stepped back from the gas, unsure of it's capabilities. This gave the Thunderian just enough time for a grappling hook to extend from the gauntlet, he gave the gauntlet a brief tug to make sure it was latched on. Lion-O was then carried away. By now, the panther habit had gotten used to the gas. T'Challa's eyes darted around the forest, carefully scanning for any sign of his opponent. Meanwhile, high up on a tree, Lion-O lined up the hilt of his sword with T'Challa's figure down below.

"This must be the end of our fight!" He grunted. "I have won. Sword of Omens! Give me Power, BEYOND POWER!" The eye started to hum as T'Challa turned around, spotting his opponent high up in the trees. He curled his hands into tight fists.

(Brandon Yates - Sapphire of Perfection)

"No longer will this enemy continue to stand in my way." T'Challa grunted. The eye of Thundera began charging, Lion-O's arms and hands twitching as he struggled to contain the power. This beam was going to have to be big, much bigger than before.

"I have been entrusted with the power of gods!" T'Challa exclaimed. "IT WILL NOT GO TO WASTE!" He then focused, his mind opening up to a greater power like that of the layers of an orange being split apart.

"POWER OF THE DEAD!" He cried. "I SEEK YOUR HELP!" Lion-O stared confusedly down at his opponent. 'Power of the dead?' What was he talking about? It didn't matter. The eye of thundera had finished charging. Lion-O aimed the beam towards T'Challa, but something was off. Something was wrong. The eye was alerting him to something. Lion-O held off the beam as he looked down to the ground. Beside where the Wakandan was standing with his arms wide open, several figures were crawling out of the dirt. They looked like zombies.

"Great heavens." Lion-O thought. "What horrors has my opponent bestowed upon me?" Thin, scraggly and dark figures were bursting up out of the ground like etherial monsters. Many of them clutching weapons, several of them with body parts missing. And more and more of them were appearing. At this rate, hundreds would be after him. T'Challa pointed a finger at Lion-O.

"MEMBERS OF THE DEAD! ATTACK!" He commanded.

"Not so fast!" Lion-O exclaimed. The eye of Thundera glowed bright as a powerful, read beam was fired out of it, heading right towards T'Challa. But as it raced towards him, a wave of zombies erupted from the ground. The beam seared right into the wave of zombies, but instead of damaging them, instead, they seemed to be holding the beam back. Just for a moment anyway, T'Challa jumped out of the way as the beam enveloped the zombies, completely obliterating them. But Lion-O wasn't finished, as he turned the beam to the left to try and hit T'Challa, his balance slipped. As he looked down with horror, the zombies were punching, kicking, and even biting through the tree of which he stood on. A groaning noise could be heard as the entire tree creaked before falling over. As he fell through the air, Lion-O at first panicked, but then remembered the gauntlet positioned on his arm. Lion-O aimed the gauntlet to another tree, ready to fire a grappling hook, but his opponent was too fast. T'Challa jumped through the air, landing on his opponent, causing his body to crash to the ground.

"Darn it!" Lion-O growled, as T'Challa landed on top of him. As the two of them landed on the floor, they struggled, but Lion-O knew it wouldn't be too long before the zombies would catch up with them, Lion-O pushed T'Challa off him using his gauntlet before he regained his footing on the flaky ground. T'Challa did too, but not before almost relaxing. He raised his guard, his eyes screwed up in focus. Lion-O was confused, but not until he glanced down into the mirror inside his gauntlet. He could just about make out the sight of a hoard of pale, cloaked figures sprinting towards him. Lion-O whipped around just in time, as a group of zombies jumped towards him. With a single slash of his blade, the entire group was bisected across the middle, but that wasn't it. From every angle of the forest, more and more zombies appeared. His gauntlet high, and his sword moving like lightning, Lion-O did his best to dispatch them. On T'Challa's end, he focused.

"Gods of the dead!" He thought. "Provide me with your strength once more!" A purple smoke descended over T'Challa, as they wrapped around his hands. The smoke extended outwards until they resembled sharp claws. T'Challa scraped them along the floor to test their strength before he dashed forwards towards Lion-O, still struggling with the zombies. Lion-O saw T'Challa's attack coming and leaped backwards, his sword raised in a defensive stance. T'Challa's blades crashed into Lion-O's, pushing them both back through the hoard of zombies, several of them being obliterated or cut to pieces by the following blades swings from both of them. Sparks flew from their clashes, lighting up the increasingly darkening forest. Using one of his blades to still combat Lion-O, the Wakandan flexed his other hand, causing a wave of zombies behind their clash to rise out of the ground and come crashing forward, snarling, their hands tearing at Lion-O. Seeing this coming in his mirror mounted in his gauntlet, Lion-O grunted in effort and stabbed his sword forwards, breaching T'Challa's defence and catching him in the chest. The Vibranium stopped the initial impact of his sword stab, but what it didn't stop, was the Thunderian digging his heels into the dirt to drive his sword further into the Panther's solar plexus, pushing him away. The zombies still lunged towards him, Lion-O however turned around.

Lion-O tensed his stance before he dashed forward and swung his sword upwards. The pure force of his slash resulted in the entire group being split up the middle, before the halves of their bodies were destroyed by the shockwaves. This caused the two of them to stop their backwards momentum. Lion-O was left panting for breath. T'Challa however wasn't finished.

"You will never best my army of the dead." He said, as he rose his hands into the air. The Thunderian king looked around in disbelief as yet more and more zombies rose up from the ground, knocking trees over, dispersing bushes and grass, and entrapping the two of them in a circle. Lion-O guessed that there must have been at least three hundred of them there.

"Give up!" T'Challa said., pointing one of his makeshift claws at Lion-O. "This is the final chance you will get to surrender!" T'Challa's tone then grew more cold and wicked as his eyes narrowed. "Or I will have no choice to cut you limb from limb." Lion-O weighed up his choices. T'Challa was right, he could lay down his weapon and surrender right this second, or...he could...or he could...

"EYE OF THUNDERA!" Lion-O yelled, aiming his sword up to the sky. "GIVE ME POWER! AS MUCH POWER AS YOU ARE WILLING TO GIVE! GIVE ME POWER! BEYOND POWER!!!" T'Challa sighed and shook his head.

"ATTACK!!!" He called to the zombies. He himself dashed forwards, his claws sharp and at the ready. Time seemed to slow down as the zombies all nodded in agreement, they dashed forwards, some of their weapons brandished for the kill. Some of them were ready to get the job done with their hands or their teeth, well, the ones that had any left. Lion-O meanwhile was struggling under the immense pressure he found himself under. The Sword of Omens was shaking like never before, as though one of T'Challa's force pushes was trying to push him down into the core of the Earth. Milliseconds before T'Challa and his army hit him, a deep roar echoed from Lion-O's throat.

"THUNDERA FOREVEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR!" A brutal, giant red beam dwarfing the other two beams burst out of the eye of Thundera wailed in pure effort. The beam was so powerful, that it didn't just go upwards, the energy spilled outwards from the sides so it formed a protective barrier around Lion-O's body. The zombies opened their mouths in shock as the red energy overtook them, vaporising them. T'Challa yelled in effort, placing his hands out to hold back the beam. The energy however was far too great, even for the Panther habit to sustain. T'Challa's entire body was pushed back, his heels digging into the earth in vain, as the mass of energy expanded, growing bigger and bigger, until it finally detonated, as The king of Wakanda's vision faded to white.

(Brandon Yates - Mighty Timestamp 4:23)

After a few seconds, the beam dispersed. The sword of Omens finally stopped shaking. Lion-O gasped in pure effort as he sank to the floor, his body hitting the earth as the sword clattered out of his hands and lay down beside him. The king of Thundera lay on his back, looking into the sky as rain started to fall from the sky. A few drops landing on his face. After the previous intensity of his battle, the cool liquid felt soothing, great even.

"Well." Lion-O laughed. "That was harder than I thought."

Music cut

"You fight well, warrior!" A voice from beside him called. Lion-O's heart dropped. Turning his head to the right, he saw T'Challa standing there. His entire body was smoking, his Vibranium armour was badly damaged, in places it was even missing, including around his legs and his chest. More significantly, a chunk of the armour around the right side of T'Challa's face was missing, showing his eye, not cold or cruel, but instead calm, admiring even.

"Y-You're still alive." Lion-O exclaimed, rising to his feet, forsaking his sword that lay a foot away from him.

"Indeed." T'Challa spoke. "And I have no intention of accepting defeat. Not yet." T'Challa fell silent as he pressed a panel on his wrist. And then, after a second, Lion-O could hear a distant, but increasingly powerful whirring in the distance, the sound of something large making it's way towards the two of them. Lion-O didn't have to wait long for his answer as large pieces of black and purple metal sailed through the air, before they constructed around T'Challa, the pieces seamlessly connecting to each other, Lion-O could make out a pair of legs, arms, a torso, and giant head, resembling that of the Black Panther mask. After the machine was done assembling, it stretched out and arm, flexed it's fist, stomped it's foot, testing out it's own movement, when it was finished, it settled it's attention towards Lion-O.

"This is the Wakandan Hulkbuster!" T'Challa informed. "I only use it to take care of powerful threats such as yourself." Before he could feel any sense of pride for T'Challa's words. The Hulkbuster moved, with surprising speed, and aimed a punch towards Lion-O. He raised his arms to block, but the punch was so strong that he was sent flying off his feet. Lion-O hit a tree with incredible force, before he landed on the ground. A distance in front of him, he saw the sword of Omens, he lunged forwards to grab it, but T'Challa stopped him. Using one hand to pick him up by the leg, The hulk-buster picked him up by the leg before slamming him into the dirt, finishing with a kick. The Hulkbuster moved forwards, a purple energy charging in it's right arm.

"This fight is over." T'Challa spoke, his voice metallic and automated from inside the suit. "I can rest well knowing my country has been protected." Lion-O struggled to rise to his feet, that kick had seriously damaged his ribs. He struggled to rise to his feet, as the left fingers of the Hulkbuster closed around him, before he was lifted into the air. The arm briefly dropped before it moved upwards, tossing Lion-O up into the air.

"Goodbye..my opponent!" T'Challa said, before the right arm came crashing forwards, hitting Lion-O squarely in the chest. For Lion-O, he felt his body travel a tremendous distance, but this was too much. Even for him, his vision faded to black as his body continued to sail through the air.

"My King! Please wake up!" Lion-O's entire body was aching. His arms and legs were heavy, and seemed to be engraved in the floor. Even opening his eyelids was a challenge, but when he did, he realised he was lying back down in the grassy clearing where he and T'Challa had first met. Speaking of T'Challa, Lion-O's brain whirred, attempting to think back to what happened directly before he passed out.

"My King! You're awake." Lion-O turned his head to behind himself. A disturbing sight lay in front of him. Hundreds of dead Wakandans lying over the grass. And even worse, two of his nobles lay on the ground, blood seeping from various holes in their body, lifeless expressions on their faces. Wilykat and Cheetara.

"No!" Lion-O exclaimed, the words choking at his throat. Wilykat's younger sister lay at his side.

"Wake up." She pleaded. "Please wake up." Pathro and Tygra stood, their shoulders heavy. Their weapons were gripped as tightly as they could.

"They aren't going to hold out much longer." He thought. Lion-O pulled himself up, managing to only pull himself onto a single knee. On the Wakandan's side, M'Baku and Okeye stood, as well as half a dozen Wakandan soldiers. Both sides were breathing hard. Lion-O raised his other knee, feeling as though gravity was ten times it's normal strength.

"Our king will save us." M'Baku panted. "You have lost-."

"NO!" Tygra bellowed. "This isn't over yet."

"He's right." Lion-O said. Eleven pairs of eyes turned to Lion-O as he forced himself into a standing position.

"It can't be." Okeye grunted through her teeth. "Where is T'Challa?" Lion-O dusted himself off, as he extended his arms to stretch them out. He finished with a deep breath, his eyes closed, before he turned around, looking towards the concentration of trees where he'd come from.

"Don't grow confident yet my people." He uttered. "The king of Wakanda is far from defeat." The other warriors were starved at words they could say in this situation. But then, they heard a faint, roaring noise in the distance, sounding like that of a plane taking off. Lion-O's pupils focused, as far into the distance, he could vaguely make out the figure of the Wakandan Hulkbuster, twin rocket thrusters extending out of it's feet, soaring forwards.

"My King!" Panthro noted. "The sword of Omens! Where is it?" Lion-O gritted his teeth, focusing his energy.

"THUNDER!" He bellowed. Inside the Hulkbuster, T'Challa pressed a button. The speed of the rocket thrusters rapidly increased, both fists were curled into tight fists.

"THUNDER!" Lion-O's shouts were growing louder. Far away in the distance, the Sword of Omens lay in a heap, but as Lion-O's words echoed across the terrian, it started to twitch, slowly at first, but then, it rose into the air.

"THUUUUNNNDEEERRRR!" The ground shook as the Hulkbuster was now less than fifty feet away from Lion-O. T'Challa reeled back one of his massive fists, concentrating the might of the suit as he flew even closer. The Sword of Omens was now high in the air. As the third 'Thunder' was echoed, it shot through the air like a silver bullet, the eye glowing a bright, deep red.

(Brandon Yates - Galactic Commanders)

"THUNDERCATS HOOOOOOOOOO!" A split second before T'Challa thrust the weight of his fist forward, The Sword of Omens shot faster and faster, right past the Hulkbuster and landed in Lion-O's hands. Gripping it tightly, Lion-O smirked as he thrust the sword forwards with all his might, T'Challa throwing his fist forward at the same time. The two attacks clashed as a deadly shockwave tore through the landscape. The others ducked just in time as it soared over their heads, bursting into the near distance. The grass eventually stopped swaying, as the two warriors stood there yet again, mere feet apart from each other. T'Challa's enlarged eyes within the Hulkbuster darted around the battlefield, each dead corpse he witnessed tightening his heart.

"You have slaughtered countless Wakandans." He remarked. "This will not go UNPUNISHED!" He shot forwards with a heavy punch. Lion-O stepped back and held up the sword, T'Challa's fist being held in place. Even now, his ribs hurt as he struggled to contain the power of the fist. Lion-O darted forwards again, stabbing his blade forward. His blade bounced off the hulkbuster, sparks flying through the air.

"You are no innocent either." Lion-O responded, glancing back to his two fallen nobles. T'Challa took this opportunity to catch Lion-O off guard with a kick that sent him sprawling to the floor.

"It is you who started this pointless conflict!" T'Challa growled, leaping forward, hitting Lion-O in the face with a jab from the Hulkbuster, following up with an uppercut that sent the Thunderian flying backwards. Lion-O landed on his back, but soon rolled backwards back onto his feet. Just in time for the Hulkbuster to throw another punch then sent Lion-O spiralling back yet again. This time, instead of following up with another attack, T'Challa aimed the palms of the Hulkbuster outwards.

"FALL!" T'Challa bellowed. And then, from both palms of the Hulk-Buster, a brutal onslaught of sonic waves erupted towards the king. Lion-O raised the Sword of Omens, attempting to guard himself from the sound waves. The second the sound waves were emitted, his entire world went silent. Lion-O simply could not hear anything, the sound waves cancelling out all possible functions of his ears. He grunted in pain, wanting to guard his eye drums from the sound, but instinctively, stabbed his sword into the ground. A small, yellowish forcefield soon formed over him. Instantly, the pain in his ears stopped. Lion-O sighed in relief. After after a few moments of heavy breathing, his grip returned to his sword. His eyes were screwed up in concentration, his mind focusing.

"My people. Lend me your power and will." On the outside, the remaining Thunderians waited in anticipation, their king had raised a forcefield, the sound waves still crashing into the surface of the field. T'Challa inside the Hulkbuster, continued to walk forwards, the sound waves getting closer and closer to Lion-O, with each step that he took, the pressure on the forcefield increasing. On the inside, the eye of Thundera started to glow again.

"Eye of Thundera!" Lion-O exclaimed. "For one last time! Give me POWER BEYOND POWER!" Lion-O tore up the sword from the ground, at the same time, a powerful red beam of energy tearing through the dissipated forcefield, and right towards T'Challa. The sound waves were rendered completely useless as the beam hit the HulkBuster dead on. Inside the suit, red warning signs almost immediately started flashing as the suit was pushed back.

"We're not done yet." T'Challa thought as he pressed a button. The Hulk-Buster started struggling against the beam, slowly making it's way forward, taking step after step. On Lion-O's end, he gritted his teeth and took a step forward too.

"YOUR TIME IS DONE!" He gripped the sword tighter as the beam increased in width, tearing through the ground even further. At this point, all the Hulkbuster could do was stand in shock as the beam damaged it from all sides. The screen slowly faded to white as the beam detonated, causing a large explosion. In the dust, Lion-O's breathing was the only thing that could be heard. Still standing, he looked ahead. The Hulk-Buster was lying on the ground, flat on it's back. Sparks were flying on it as the limbs uselessly twitched. But after a moment, a loud clang could be heard as T'Challa's right arm broke through the chest of the Hulkbuster. T'Challa's other arm ripped through the material as he slowly climbed his way out of the destroyed Hulkbuster. Standing there for a moment, the Wakandan stumbled forward, until he was opposite Lion-O.

"Most incredible." He uttered. "You still prevailed over me, even after my Hulkbuster nearly ended your life." Lion-O narrowed his eyes, still holding onto his sword. And then, T'Challa pressed a panel on his suit. Breathing heavily, he raised his hands towards the sky as in the blink of an eye, a deadly sharp, white glowing blade materialised in his hands. T'Challa gripped the hilt of the sword tightly, blood pounding in his ears, he assumed a fighting stance and turned towards Lion-O, breathing equally as hard, Lion-O raised his sword to face his opponent.

"My sacred blade Skybreaker has helped me out in times of otherwise disparity." T'Challa said. "It will serve me the same in this confrontation." Lion-O gripped the hilt of his sword tighter.

"The Sword of Omens has served me equally so." Lion-O said, shifting his body weight onto his front leg. "Let us begin our final duel." Both warriors waited a moment, before a split second later, they dashed forward, both of their swords poised to strike. All that could be seen from the outside was hard to follow. Quick, brutal slashes from both sides fuelled by nothing other than hard boiled fury and the determination to win. After a few seconds, both of them swung their swords forward. A brief clash ensued, as they both put everything they had in them to push forwards. T'Challa gritted his teeth and pushed harder, but Lion-O swerved to the right and hacked his sword, aiming for T'Challa's right shoulder, his armour having broken, not protecting that area. T'Challa saw this coming and raised his sword to guard just in time. The two continued their powerful sword swings, each blow laying into the other blade, time after time.

"He's not giving an inch." Lion-O thought, and then he smirked to himself. "Even after all this. His suit being destroyed, all his weapons rendered useless. Even after all this time, he carries on. The Wakandans truly show their might best they can."

"My foe still won't give in." T'Challa thought, and then he too, managed a smile. "The Thunderian will still burns bright, even after my countless attempts to douse it. I must commend him." Both warriors leaned back, before swinging their swords in for another blow. Both blades connected, causing a mini shockwave to push the both of them back yet again. Both of them dashed forward, Lion-O aimed, a stabbing motion ready to strike T'Challa in the chest. The king parried the blow, and swung his hips in an attempt to strike at Lion-O's neck, but the Thunderian ducked under the blow, using his momentum to drive the point of his sword into T'Challa's thigh. The blade connected, as pain shot through his body.

"A single mistake." Lion-O thought. "All I need." Lion-O sprang off his heels, and with a shout of determination, drove his sword with as much strength as he could muster. The attack to the leg meant that T'Challa was wide open. The sword of Omens darted forward, and with a clang, struck into T'Challa's chest. The fighting stopped, Lion-O was holding his sword steady. T'Challa grunted in surprise, the tip of the sword of the Omens was embedded in his chest. The heat of the moment sank into the both of them.

"This battle is truly over." Lion-O panted, his voice steady. "I have fatally struck you." T'Challa watched this for a moment, but then, his arms moved on their own. Thanks to the sword being in his chest, the Thunderian had nothing guarding his torso. Skybreaker still clutched in his hand, T'Challa stabbed forward. Lion-O coughed, coughed hard. He felt warm blood trickling down his mouth. His eyes glanced down, long enough to see the tip of Skybreaker stabbing into his stomach. The Thunderian gasped and stumbled back. Both warriors pulled out their blades as they were left standing opposite each other, even more fatigued than ever. There was silence as the two of them swayed in place, matching the wind, and then, T'Challa was the first to speak.

"Both of us are severely wounded." He said. "More than many warriors could handle." Lion-O looked up in intrigue, where was his opponent going with this?

"It is clear to me that this battle will be over in one more connection of our blades." He said. "Let us give it our all, one last time...."

Lion-O smiled, a proud smile of determination. Okeye looked at her king, a look of..uncertainty on her face, but then, her expression softened, smiling.

"Avenge the countless Wakandans that lost their lives today." She spoke. "Win with the power of the Black Panther bloodline on your side." M'Baku did the same.

"I know T'Challa can win." He whispered. "He has the support of an entire nation behind him." Meanwhile, on the other side of the fight, the Thunderians tensed themselves in anticipation.

"I believe you will be victorious. Emerge as best you can, my king." Tygra said, his heart beating faster.

"Give it your all..my king." Panthro exclaimed, a nod of appreciation. Wilykat looked up from the side of her brother's corpse, wiping tears from her eyes.

"Do this for us Lion-O, do this for every Thunderian that believes in you." Lion-O and T'Challa both took several steps of preparation back, clutching their weapons as tight as they could, both of them began a powerful run forward. As they did so, identical thoughts ran through their mind.

"So long as I live, the burden of my people rests on my shoulders." They continued their run forwards, until they were close enough to each other to which they could see their reflection in the opposite's eyes.

"But no matter as the odds are stacked against me. I will always, fight to the end!" Both of them jumped into the air, winding their swords back as they swung them forwards one final time, both of them sporting grins of chivalry across their faces.

"FOR MY PEOPLE!!!"[]

The sword of Omens and Skybreaker both slammed into each other. Instantly, powerful currents of energy rushed through both of them as their blades clashed. Landing on the ground, both of their heels dug into the earth as they continued to struggle against each other, both power's trying to overwhelm the other. Above the two of them, giant figures of energy appeared above them. On T'Challa's side, blue figures, all sporting the Black Panther suit materialised, there were countless of them. On Lion-O side, red figures, all in Thundercat attire appeared. All at once, the figures dashed towards each other, throwing fists and as many attacks as they could. Eventually, the two groups of figures locked in arms as they attempted to push their respective warrior to the edge so they could win. The clash was lit up in opposing colours of red and blue as the two of them pushed themselves to their very limit. With their maximum power being outputted, all they could do was wait for the other to give in. Both of their bodies were beyond beaten to a pulp, the only thing keeping them going, were the thoughts of seeing their people alive once more. Countless thoughts of their friends and family started to flash through their mind, T'Challa thinking of his father, Okeye, his sister, M'Baku, even his cousin. Lion-O thought of the nobles accompanying him, and how two of them had lost their lives fighting for him. Exerting themselves one final time, Lion-O and T'Challa's mouths both opened in wide yells of determination and power, shaking the ground in which they stood on. But then, something changed, something gave in. It happened in less than a second. On T'Challa's side, the blue Black Panther avatars crumbled as the Thundercat avatars overpowered them. T'Challa's strength dropped. Lion-O leaned forward, the might of the Thundercats powering him up, powering him enough to push through against his opponent, and with another yell of effort, break through and completely shatter Skybreaker.

"Incredible." T'Challa thought in slow motion, the pieces of Skybreaker floating in front of his face as the hilt fell out of his hand, clattering to the floor. "I wouldn't expect anything less." Lion-O lunged forward, the Sword of Omens swung in a diagonal arc across T'Challa's torso, a red line of energy forming across his body. As his lunge came to an end, he froze in place. A second later, the red line exploded as a mass of blood erupted from T'Challa's chest. Blood choked at the Wakandan's throat as his chest was torn open. And then, the chaos ended. T'Challa fell back, his body hitting the earth. Lion-O was still breathing, the Sword of Omens fell out of his hand. He looked behind himself at his opponent. M'Baku fell to his knees.

"It can't be." He uttered. Okeye's heart stopped beating, she felt her throat choke as her king's body lay on the floor, surrounded in a pool of his own blood. The Thunderians fell to the floor, but instead, relief clawing at their faces.

"He did it." Tygra whispered. "He really did it." Lion-O turned around, a grim, disturbed expression crossing his face. Slowly, he walked over. On the floor, T'Challa's mask was now fully destroyed, his face visible. As Lion-O approached him, his face fell, his eyes closing.

"I-I-I failed my people." He said. "I am truly sorry." Lion-O kneeled down.

"It is my promise." He said. "That Wakanda will not fall into the wrong hands." T'Challa opened his eyes, his brow creasing in confusion,

"T-Tell, Shuri, I fought..as hard as I could for her..." His eyes flickering, T'Challa coughed one final time, before his neck went limp, his eyes gazing into the sky. The Wakandan let out his final breath as he succumbed to his injuries. Lion-O stood there for a moment, before he too, fell to his knees.

"My King!" Panthro called. "Are you okay?" In truth, it wasn't his injuries that caused him to fall down. It was his heart, a guilty, sharp pain in the pit of his heart. A single tear trickled down the side of Lion-O's face as he looked down at his hands, T'Challa's blood staining his skin.

Boomstick: Holy F*ck. Wiz, why did we make these two fight again? Why can't we make them friends. *Suddenly starts sobbing* We made a big mistake!

Wiz: This is certainly one of the most interesting encounters we have looked at so far, but Lion-O had a few advantages that pushed him over the edge.

Boomstick: But wait wait wait, how did T'Challa's arsenal not overwhelm him, he had like..a million different weapons he could throw at him.

Wiz: This is true, but in reality, Lion-O had the means to handle and even counter most of T'Challa's weaponry. For starters, any camoflauge or teleportation devices would be rendered fairly useless, thanks to the Eye of Thundera telling Lion-O T'Challa's location.

Boomstick: Most of T'Challa's other weaponry also just wouldn't be able to get past Lion-O's forecfields. Lion-O could always just turtle out in there whenever he wanted to.

Wiz: Probably T'Challa's best bet in terms of his weaponry was the Wakandan Hulkbuster.

Boomstick: I was just about to say that. I mean..how the hell was Lion-O supposed to beat that thing.

Wiz: Well, a good argument for T'Challa's prevail does involve the Hulkbuster being too much of a threat for Lion-O to handle. It's sonic sound waves could have been especially deadly to Lion-O, thanks to his sensitivity to high pitched sounds.

Boomstick: The Hulk-Buster isn't invincible though, despite having a clear advantage over Amadeus Cho, it still lost and was torn apart.

Wiz: It's pretty clear that T'Challa is the more skilled warrior of the two. Lion-O certainly has his way with a blade, but T'Challa's hundreds of different fighting styles meant a close up encounter with no weapons would have the potential to end in his favour.

Boomstick: But there was no way in hell The sword of Omens would be out of Lion-O's hands for too long. I mean, all he has to do is shout his catchphrase and it'll come right back to him.

Wiz: Thanks to his intelligence, maybe T'Challa could have come up with a strategy to seperate Lion-O from his sword, but he'd need time to come up with something like that.

Boomstick: Something that he probably wouldn't have if we look at raw stats. T'Challa's best bet for speed was dodging that glider thrown by the hulk, putting his reaction speeds at just over Mach 6.

Wiz: But Lion-O can and could react to many lasers and lightning based attacks thrown at him before, placing his speed in a tier above it's own.

Boomstick: But what really seals the deal is their strength. T'Challa has shown he can go blow for blow with other Marvel Superheroes like Cap and Hawkeye. On his own, he can lift an African Rhino, which can weigh up to four tons.

Wiz: The Eye of Thundera however, was shown to hold an entire planet together with it's own energy. Way more than whatever T'Challa could pull off or handle. On top of that, while The Panther Habit's Vibranium nature would definitely hold up well against physical attacks, a blast from the eye would likely be all it would need for Lion-O to take the victory.

Boomstick: T'Challa tried his best, but Lion-O already have the purr-fect victory planned.

Wiz: The Winner is Lion-O!

Liono Winner
