Big Boss VS Heidern is a what-if Death Battle by Unbacked0. It features Big Boss from the Metal Gear series and Heidern from The King of Fighters series in a battle.
Description[]
Metal Gear VS The King of Fighters!
Introduction[]
Wiz: "It doesn't take a hero to order men into battle. It takes a hero to be one of those men who goes into battle."
Boomstick: And our two vets are the biggest heroes around. Like Big Boss, leader of Outer Heaven...
Wiz: And Heidern, commander and chief of the Ikari Warriors.
Boomstick: He's Wiz, and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Big Boss[]
Wiz: What's a country? Who are the people? What are politicians?
Boomstick: Getting a little too deep there, Wiz.
Wiz: They're valid questions. Every year, the United States of America raises their war budget and constantly prepares the next generation to be soldiers in a war that may never come.
Boomstick: Yeah, I guess when the great US of A breaks your spirit, even the most patriotic of people will run away.
Wiz: One such patriot was one of the US' finest, the great soldier who ever lived turned enemy, the Big Boss.
Background:
- Title: Big Boss
- Name: John
- Age: 79
- Leader of Outer Heaven
- Father of Solid, Liquid and Solidus Snake
- Believes in Santa Claus
Boomstick: That's "The" with a capital T. Big Boss is a legend and the best soldier in the world.
Wiz: But before he was the most legendary soldier on the planet, he was simply known as John.
Boomstick: Born in the 1930s, John grew up and fought in the Korean War in the 50s where he'd meet the world's greatest soldier, The Boss.
Wiz: The Boss would take John under her wing, training him in both armed and unarmed combat. Turning him from a basic soldier into one of the most skilled combatants on the planet, and part of that is due to the hand-to-hand combat style that the two created together called CQC.
Martial Arts: CQC
- Short for Close Quarters Combat
- Grapple based martial arts
- Designed to disarm opponents
- Can be used while wielding weapons
Boomstick: CQC is a unique martial arts style all around slamming your foe to the ground with quick throws, that are often compared to judo, or choking them into unconsciousness, or just breaking their arms for fun.
Wiz: While martial arts may seem useless in a military setting, it can expertly be used with stealth to disarm an opponent with the greatest practitioners of the style being able to dismantle a gun in the opponent's hands before they even hit the floor.
Boomstick: CQC's real speciality is its use of weapons. It can still be used while wielding most firearms, from one-handed guns like pistols and small machineguns to two-handed guns like rifles and shotguns, as long as you aren't holding a massive RPG, you can still use CQC.
Wiz: And John was one of the best practitioners of it and was quickly accepted as one of The Boss' best students, so much so that he was assigned to the 1964 Virtuous Mission, a stealth mission where he was tasked with sneaking into Soviet territory and rescuing the scientist Sokolov without alerting the local armed forces and escalating the tensions of the Cold War.
Boomstick: So no pressure.
Wiz: However, everything went wrong when The Boss defected from the US to Colonel Volgin, a Soviet general who was threatening to start a coup against the Soviet Union's leader, Khrushchev. In order to prevent a full-on nuclear war, John was sent back to Russia to kill The Boss and Volgin to prove that The Boss was acting on her own accord.
Boomstick: And now things are getting complicated.
Wiz: However...
Boomstick: There it is.
Wiz: The Boss was acting under orders of the US government, their main goal was for The Boss to find the microfilm containing the location of the Philosophers' Legacy, a gigantic sum of one hundred billion dollars which could be used to fund the development of advances in warfare technology.
Boomstick: But who are the Philosophers?
Wiz: Well, you see, after the events of World War I-
Boomstick: Hold on, I stopped caring.
Wiz: Right... So John, now given the title of Big Boss, the greatest soldier ever known, left the US forever.
Boomstick: Yeah, you can imagine being forced to kill your Mom so your country gets more money so they can commit more war crimes and all you got was a fancy title, it might make someone lose their faith in their country and so decide to form his own mini nation of soldiers.
Wiz: Well, technically he formed multiple mini nations but they usually get destroyed in one way or another.
Boomstick: And having multiple teams of R&D nerds making weapons for you means that Big Boss has tons of things he can use whenever he wants.
Weapons
- Handguns, Machineguns, Sniper Rifles, Rocket Launchers, etc
- Stun Rod
- Tanegashima
- The Patriot
- Soliton Radar
- Battle Dress
Wiz: Naturally, Big Boss has acquired many handguns, machineguns, both heavy and small, sniper rifles and even handheld recoilless rocket launchers. But that's only the tip of the iceberg.
Boomstick: Instead of using a knife like a normal person, Big Boss wields a Stun Rod, a tiny taser that lets off over a million volts.
Wiz: That's over twenty times stronger than the average taser. Aside from weapons, Big Boss has non-offensive equipment to aid him in stealth and battle, like the Soliton Radar that displays the precise location of all nearby opponents through electromagnetic waves, and the Battle Dress, Big Boss' most defensive suit that allows him to shrug off'
Boomstick: But then there's the absurd shit, like the Tangel Shiba.
Wiz: Tanegashima.
Boomstick: Which is a musket that, when fired, has a chance to create a goddamn hurricane that tears through the battlefield and can launch people hundreds of miles away. Which really makes you think, how does Big Boss' base stop them from splitting against the metal hull?
Wiz: I imagine either a cushioning system or a large trampoline. But somehow the Tanegashima isn't the best weapon in Big Boss' arsenal, he also has the Patriot.
Boomstick: While it may look like an average oddly designed SMG, it's actually a fucking magical gun that has infinite ammo because its ammo cylinder is in the shape of an infinite symbol.
Wiz: No, we aren't kidding.
Feats:
- Survived Volgin's torture
- Killed the Cobra Unit
- Held up Cocoon
- Destroyed the Shagohod, Peace Walker, Metal Gear ZEKE, Sahelanthropus
Boomstick: Aside from being the literal best soldier in the world, Big Boss has done a lot. Pretty much anyone that he fights, he beats, including the Cobra Unit, a squad of super-powered soldiers who helped end World War II and multiple giant AI robots.
Wiz: One of which was Peace Walker, whose hull was so strong that Huey Emmerich, its chief designer, stated that it could withstand a nuclear war. Even with said armor, Big Boss' weapons were enough to damage the machine.
Boomstick: And sure, Big Boss isn't as strong as the guns he shoots, but he was still strong enough to beat Colonel Volgin and survive his torture.
Wiz: Volgin has the unique and supernatural ability to generate electricity from his body which carries a charge of ten million volts. All of that electricity shocking Big Boss at once would be worth over twenty tons of TNT. Not only that, but Ocelot, who's on Big Boss' level, was able to shoot his revolver before Volgin's electricity could hit him.
Boomstick: And if you still doubt that Big Boss is superhuman, he was strong enough to hold up the Cocoon, which is basically a giant metal tank.
Weaknesses:
- Can run out of ammo
- Is missing an eye
- Lost to Solid Snake
Wiz: That being said, Big Boss does have his fair share of flaws.
Boomstick: There's the obvious one that's the hole where his eye used to be.
Wiz: While he has powered through it, it still had negative effects on his depth perception.
Boomstick: And he's a lot weaker without his weapons, which makes the lack of an infinite ammo spawning bandana a bit of a bitch.
Wiz: But none of that compares to his biggest mistake ever which was his misinterpretation of The Boss' will, not that Big Boss was the only one to do so, from his former commander Zero to a man with a literal skull for a face, it seems like everyone wanted to change the world to match what The Boss' thought was best without actually understanding it.
Boomstick: See, The Boss thought that the world should be left as is and not dominated by a world that forces people to fight each other but Big Boss wanted to make a mini-nation of soldiers that could fight in any war so they'd never lose their purpose and be thrown, so the exact opposite.
Wiz: This caused quite a lot of strife as Big Boss and Zero's world views changed the world for the next fifty years and Big Boss ended up being killed by the closest thing to a son he ever had, Solid Snake.
Boomstick: But through, almost literally dying, Big Boss realised what his not-mom meant and made an insane plan full of mind-bending twists and the big, gayest catboy you've ever seen to bring it all down.
Wiz: In the end, Big Boss ended up dying from the very system he wanted to destroy with his final moments being used to give his son his future back as best he could.
Heidern[]
Wiz: Have you ever felt like there is something wrong with the world?
Boomstick: Oh God, we're getting political again.
Wiz: Don't worry about it. But have you ever felt like there were mysterious and mystical forces that conspire against the humanity, whether it be godly beings or secret cults.
Boomstick: Yeah, there always seems to be at least one supervillain group showing up and deciding "humanity is imperfect" before trying to kill us all.
Wiz: Thankfully for us all, humanity has a protective army, a military organisation dedicated to fighting against threats to the world in a covert fashion known as the Ikari Warriors.
Boomstick: And none of them as strong, as cool, as badass as their leader, Heidern.
Background:
- Title: Heidern
- Name: Unknown
- Age: 43
- Leader of the Ikari Warriors
- Father of Leona
- Likes: Fishing, Beer and Dad things
Wiz: While most of Heidern's past is mysterious, what is known is that he was the Commanding Officer of a small military operation in Brazil, with his loving wife and daughter living at the base.
Boomstick: Oh, this will end poorly.
Wiz: That was until Heidern's strength and strategic prowess caught the eye of Rugal Bernstein, a notorious arms dealer and collector of "eccentric items".
Boomstick: Oh don't beat around the bush, Wiz, Rugal likes killing strong fighters, dipping their dead bodies in liquid metal and then displaying them in his room, like an M-rated Master Hand. So when he heard about Heidern, he knew he was perfect for his collection.
Wiz: Well, not perfect yet, Heidern still hadn't reached his full potential, so Rugal would give Heidern the motivation to reach his potential: revenge.
Boomstick: So he murdered Heidern's entire squad, both his wife and daughter and for, good measure, ripped out his eye. Talk about leaving an impression on someone.
Wiz: Being left alone with nothing but his thoughts, Heidern would swear that he'd avenge everyone Rugal had killed and stop his criminal empire.
Boomstick: But he needed a training montage first. First, Heidern decided to make his own martial arts style based all around killing people.
Heidern Style of Assassination:
- Self made fighting style
- Grants Heidern cutting energy waves
- Uses gunpowder in gloves
- Uses Firearms, Explosives and Supersonic Emitters
Wiz: Heidern created an assassination style which is based around stealthy assassinations, the usage of military-grade weapons and granting its user supernatural abilities that are best suited to each practitioner.
Boomstick: Heidern is great at using handguns but his real specialty is his explosives.
Wiz: He has both C4 and throwing grenades, along with items used to distract or disorient the opponent such as flashbangs.
Boomstick: He mostly uses his bombs when he's sneaking around, but since he can basically blend into the shadows whenever he wants, he's basically impossible to find.
Wiz: He also has a sonic emitter attached to his earpiece which lets out a supersonic sound that deafens everyone around him, perfect for if the opponent gets the upper hand.
Boomstick: And that's not even the craziest thing he uses. Heidern has gunpowder in his gloves which he sticks to his opponent before making it explode, somehow.
Wiz: That's because of Heidern's ability to generate a certain type of energy from his body that cuts anything within range like a sharp blade, such as wood, steel and even human flesh. Heidern is anything, if not efficient.
Boomstick: He slices, he dices, and he makes a mean sausage.
Wiz: With this unique ability, Heidern is constantly improving his fighting style to incorporate more and more techniques he develops.
Techniques:
- Moon Slice
- Stinger
- Storm Bringer
- Neck Rolling
- Heidern Slash
- Gae Bolg
Wiz: His iconic Moon Slice is an overhead wave of his arm, creating a large slash that practically covers his entire body. He can launch his opponents far away with a mere point of his finger and launch his cutting energy in a cross shape or circular shape several metres away.
Boomstick: He might be lethal with his knife aura, but his deadliest move is his Neck Rolling, where he snaps your neck, over and over, again and again, for about a minute straight. I'm sure a few seconds would be enough but spinning around someone's neck like a helicopter propeller works too.
Wiz: But that's not all, but with his Storm Bringer, Heidern has the ability to drain energy from anything he touches, whether it be technological or organic, and use it to restore his own life energy.
Boomstick: Oh God, is he a vampire?
*Shows a picture of Halloween Heidern from King of Fighters: All Star*
Wiz: Oh, he might be...
Boomstick: Well, anyways, then there's his ultimate attack, the Guy Burg...
Wiz: Gae Bolg.
Boomstick: Lets him pump all of his cutting energy into an enemy, blowing them up from the inside.
Wiz: All of this and more prepared Heidern for his revenge against Rugal, and what better place to find him than in the worldwide King of Fighters tournament that Rugal had invited him to.
Boomstick: And while he might not have taken the gold, Rugal was dead and that's good enough.
Feats:
- Formed the Ikari Warriors
- Killed Ling's clone
- Helped defeat Rugal
- Is on par with Serious Mr. Karate
Wiz: But even with Rugal dead, and dead again, the threats to humanity never ceased with them continuing to force Heidern into action, but despite the overwhelming odds, Heidern always kept up against humanity's biggest threats such as the Orochi Clan, the NESTS criminal cartel, Those From The Past and Gods from beyond Time and Space.
Boomstick: He strong enough to easily kill the identical clone of Ling, created by Clone Zero, with just one hit.
Wiz: The original Ling was the leader of both Seth and Vanessa, two people survived a direct shot from the Zero Cannon, a satellite laser cannon which wiped out the city of South Town, a fictional version of Miami. To be able to destroy a city of this scale would require at least five megatons.
Boomstick: And Heidern's way stronger since Serious Mr. Karate, yes that's his real name, thinks that out of the Ikari Warriors, only Heidern could actually stand a chance against him.
Wiz: Serious Mr. Karate is the alter ego of Takuma Sakazaki who was able to disperse the beam fired from the Zero Cannon with his own blast of chi, and analysts like Maxima have noted that Serious Mr. Karate is far stronger than Takuma is normally.
Boomstick: And he's fast enough to block bolts of lightning from Orochi Shermie and sunlight from Orochi... Well, just Orochi.
Weaknesses:
- Limited number of explosives
- Is missing an eye
- Has never won a KOF tournament
Wiz: While Heidern might be the greatest military leader the world has ever seen, he still has his fair share of faults.
Boomstick: There's the obvious one that's the hole where his eye used to be. Huh, I feel like I've said that already.
Wiz: That and since Heidern keeps his load intentionally light, he has a very limited number of explosives on his person at one time and will run out sooner rather than later.
Boomstick: But hey, that's never stopped him before.
Wiz: Heidern managed to turn his pain and loss into something productive, managing to protect the world on countless occasions, adopting and raising a daughter from the same cult that tried to destroy the world and even working with the son of the man who tried to ruin his life.
Boomstick: I've heard about burying the hatchet but that's just overkill.
Wiz: With both the Ikari Warriors and its military genius at its helm, no matter what new threat approaches, there's already an organisation ready to fight against it.
Boomstick: That's just why Heidern's the best.
Pre-Fight[]
Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities. Let's end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLEEEEE!!!
Fight[]
The scene opens on a metallic base, large tanks line the halls as a few guards walk back and forth across the halls.
From the shadows between one of the tanks, a mysterious shadow with one glowing eye stands there before quickly dashing behind the guards, running down the halls at high speeds until he sees a metal door with an electronic lock.
Rather than stopping, Heidern kept running and sliced the door clean in half with a Moonslice before continuing his sprint.
Inside the room, Heidern looked up and saw a bipedal tank with multiple large missile launchers resting on its shoulders, standing there, it was docked and completely inactive.
Heidern: "Metal... Gear..."
Heidern looked up at the giant behemoth of a mech, confirming his target before walking over to its legs.
He crouched down and started to plant an explosive on the legs of the Metal Gear, intending to completely collapse the mech with one blast.
Before Heidern could stand up and detonate the bomb with the trigger in his hand, he felt the barrel of a gun pressed against the back of his head.
Big Boss: "Drop your weapon!"
Big Boss ordered as he continued to press the gun into Heidern's head.
Without saying a word, Heidern instantly swung his free hand at Big Boss' gun, slicing the barrel in half before leapt over him and went to press the detonator. Before he could do it, Big Boss grabbed onto Heidern's wrist, twisting it enough that he dropped the detonator to the floor before Big Boss kicked it far out of either's reach.
Heidern swings at Big Boss' face with his other hand, he manages to dodge by titling his head back, giving Heidern enough room to kick his knee and escape from Big Boss' grip.
With there being a greater distance between them, Heidern pulls out his handgun and points it at Big Boss who had quickly pulls out his own handgun, holding it with one hand while his other holds his Stun Rod.
Heidern: "Give up and surrender, Big Boss."
Heidern ordered as he kept his aim steady.
Big Boss: "I'm not the one who should be giving up, Commander Heidern."
Big Boss barked back as both he and Heidern pulled the trigger of their guns at the same time.
Fight!
Both the bullets flew and crashed into each other.
Big Boss rushed towards Heidern, continuing to fire his gun with Heidern blocking them apart by swinging his hand, his aura cutting the bullets apart.
When Big Boss was in range, he swung his Stun Rod at Heidern who raised both of his arms to block it, however, with a press of a button, a large amount of electricity surged through it and into Heidern's body. The shock disoriented him, giving Big Boss the chance to disarm Heidern.
He placed one of his hands on top of Heidern's gun and his other against Heidern's chest, pushing him back while dismantling the handgun by sliding the barrel off with one clean motion.
When Heidern landed on his knee, he noticed his handgun had been dismantled before his eye and dropped it before extending his spare arm out towards Big Boss, meeting his pointed gun with his index finger.
The two stared each other down before Heidern channelled his aura through his arm, shooting out an invisible blast of energy that shattered the front of Big Boss' gun and launched him against the wall, breaking his arm in the process.
Heidern quickly rushed towards the detonator he dropped, however, a hail of gunfire prevented him from reaching it. Heidern turned and saw Big Boss slumped against the wall, shooting at Heidern with an assault rifle in his non-dominant arm.
Big Boss turned the gun towards Heidern, causing him to dodge the bullets by flipping backwards and running around the closest corner. After Heidern retreated, Big Boss put the gun down and started to relocate his arm back into place. Once he was able, Big Boss stood up and chased after Heidern.
Once Big Boss turned the corner, he saw Heidern standing in front of an electrical unit before he pressed his hand against it and started to drain the energy from it.
Heidern: "Storm Bringer!"
As the battery started to drain, the lights in the facility started to shut off one by one, covering the area in pitch-black darkness with Heidern disappearing completely.
Big Boss aimed his assault rifle and repeatedly turned around to try and catch Heidern's sneak attack.
All of a sudden, a cross-shaped blade of energy shot out of the darkness and struck Big Boss' chest, slashing open a part of his Battle Dress and cutting into his flesh.
Big Boss: "Arrghh!"
Big Boss cried out before rolling backwards and narrowly avoiding a spinning buzzsaw made of energy that would cut him in half.
Taking a breath, Big Boss calmed himself down before closing his one eye, using his Soliton Radar to find out where Heidern was. In his mind, Big Boss had a complete view of the area around him, with Heidern in plain sight.
Big Boss saw Heidern dashing straight towards him and responded by dropping his assault rifle, pulling out his shotgun and firing when Heidern was close.
The shotgun blast hit Heidern, tearing open the front of his suit and launching him backwards a few metres. Heidern put his hand on his chest, over the wound that had just formed.
Heidern dashed towards Big Boss again. When Big Boss pointed the shotgun at him, Heidern leapt over him and placed his hand over Big Boss' face before starting to drain
Heidern: "Storm Bringer!"
Heidern said as he drained the energy from both Big Boss' body and the nanomachines in his body, using the energy to heal his wounded chest.
Big Boss: "What's happening..."
Big Boss was confused by why he was starting to feel tired and why his nanomachines were starting to malfunction.
In an act of desperation, Big Boss swung his Stun Rod at Heidern, only for him to avoid it by leaping backwards.
Instead of chasing Heidern, Big Boss threw a stun grenade at him. A second later, a blinding flash of light and an absurdly loud sound went off in front of him, blinding and disorienting him.
Big Boss used the very brief blast of light and his good memory to locate the electrical unit that Heidern had trained and ran towards it. When Big Boss reached it, he pressed his Stun Rod against it powering the unit again, turning all of the lights on again.
By the time Heidern had recovered, he saw Big Boss standing on the other side of the room with a sniper rifle aimed at him. When Big Boss pulled the trigger, Heidern immediately raised his arms to slash the bullet apart. Big Boss kept firing his sniper rifle with Heidern rapidly swinging his arm to block each shot aimed at his upper body, however, Big Boss quickly aimed down and fired a shot at Heidern's lower leg.
The sniper round penetrated Heidern's leg, causing him to fall to one knee. In the brief moment that Heidern was stunned, Big Boss managed to land another shot on his shoulder.
Needing to escape, Heidern threw out a stun grenade before leaping backwards. As soon as the stun went off, Heidern ran as fast as he could towards the detonator. He managed to grab it but before he pressed the trigger, he saw Big Boss aiming a multi-lock homing rocket launcher at him.
As soon as Heidern saw the rockets heading towards him, he made a mad dash away from them, trying to outrun them and make them crash into a nearby wall, however, his injured leg made it impossible to out pace them, so instead, Heidern turned and sliced the rockets in half with them all exploding around Heidern and kicking up a large amount of smoke.
When the smoke settled, Big Boss had completely vanished from Heidern's point of view. Heidern started to back up while darting his eyes from side to side, only to stop when he felt something poke against his back.
Big Boss: "Freeze!"
Big Boss, who was now standing behind Heidern, held him at gunpoint with his shotgun.
Heidern started to slowly raise his hands to the back of his head. Once his hands reached his ears, he pressed the button on his earpiece, causing it to let out a supersonic screech, causing Big Boss to reel back, giving Heidern a chance to turn and slice the shotgun clean in half vertically.
Big Boss dropped the gun and grabbed Heidern's arm before slamming him to the ground at full force, the impact causing Heidern to let out a large cough with some blood coming out of his mouth. Heidern raised his leg up to kick at Big Boss' chest, pushing him back before Heidern rolled over and quickly got back to his feet.
Heidern charged his aura around his arm and jabbed it forward, however, Big Boss quickly stepped to the side and grabbed Heidern's shoulder. He moved behind him before kicking the back of Heidern's knee, forcing him down to one knee while choking Heidern out with one of his arms.
Big Boss: "Let's see you handle this."
Big Boss said as he pulled out his Stun Rod and stabbed it into the bullet wound on Heidern's shoulder.
Heidern: "Ghhh-Ahhhhh!"
Heidern tried to hold his composure, however, his composure faded as he felt his flesh burn, causing him to drop the detonator again.
Heidern: I've got to get him off of me!
Heidern thought to himself, his mind racing to think of anything.
He looked around and saw both the detonator that was now out of reach and the explosive he planted on the Metal Gear when he entered the room. Heidern swung his arm, causing an energy wave to launch out to the explosive, detonating it without using the remote.
The explosive blew up with a massive fireball, demolishing the Metal Gear's leg, causing it to crumple into a heap of scrap metal, and causing a shockwave that launched both men across the room.
Both men struggled to their feet, gathering their bearings before they started fighting again. Big Boss pulled out the Tanegashima and fired it as Heidern charged at him, kicking up a small tornado. The resulting vortex lifts Heidern off the ground and carries him away.
As Heidern was being carried away, Big Boss pulled out the Patriot and started to fire up at Heidern. The hail of bullets whiz around Heidern as he's flung around, a few of the bullets nicking his torso and grazing his limbs. The tornado then thrusts Heidern up and into the ceiling of the hanger at high speeds, causing Heidern to cough up a lot of blood from the impact.
Big Boss continued to shoot the Patriot up at Heidern with the bullets being carried up by the wind with them hitting the ceiling and occasionally hitting Heidern's body. Heidern struggled to move his arm off of the ceiling against the wind pressure, he reached his right arm over to his left hand and pulled his gunpowder-filled glove off before launching it down with a blast of aura from his finger, sending the glove down to the middle of the tornado.
Seconds later, the gunpowder in the glove detonated with enough force to dissipate the small natural disaster.
With the wind no longer pushing against him, Heidern fell a long distance. As he fell, Big Boss continued to fire the Patriot at him with Heidern rapidly slashing the air in front of him to cut all of the bullets apart.
When Heidern landed on the ground, he instantly ran to Big Boss, avoiding the gunfire and occasionally cutting the odd bullet that got too close.
As soon as Heidern entered close quarters range, Big Boss grabbed Heidern's arm and tried to flip him over, however, Heidern managed to land on his feet and instantly went to deliver a high kick to Big Boss' head. Big Boss blocked the kick with his forearm and aimed the Patriot with just one hand at Heidern's face.
Heidern quickly leapt up and kicked Big Boss' gun with his other leg, kicking the Patriot's aim up causing the gun to shoot into the air. When Big Boss pulled the gun down and aimed to kill again, Heidern quickly performed a Moonslice, slashing both the Patriot in half and cutting Big Boss' dominant arm in half down the middle up to his elbow.
Big Boss: "Arghh! Damnit!"
Big Boss swore in pain.
Heidern, not wanting to waste his chance leapt over Big Boss, grabbing onto his neck while doing so and slashing his throat. Big Boss grabbed the gushing wound with his left hand. Now behind Big Boss, Heidern jabbed into his spine with his gloved left hand.
Heidern: "Go to Hell!"
Heidern yelled as he unleashed all of his energy into Big Boss' body, causing his body to float for a second before it exploded from the gunpowder being set off inside of his body. Big Boss' corpse was blown up, into nothing more than a red splatter.
Heidern looked around, both of his targets, Outer Heaven's leader and his Metal Gear were completely destroyed.
Heidern: "Mission complete."
Heidern said as he vanished into the shadows once more.
Results[]
K.O.
Heidern is seen flying off in a helicopter as the main hanger of Outer Heaven is burning down.
Boomstick: Come in Boss! Boss? BOSS!
Wiz: Obvious joke aside. This fight had a lot of interesting factors when it comes down to who wins.
Boomstick: Between the two of them, it was clear who'd win a straight-up fist fight.
Wiz: While Big Boss can beat someone who has a charge of ten million volts, Heidern is stronger than those who can deflect a laser with the destructive power of five megatons of TNT.
Boomstick: And sure, CQC made Big Boss a far better fighter then practically anyone in any KOF tournament, being more skilled won't help against a guy who could rip through you with one punch.
Wiz: But this fight wasn't just about raw attack potency.
Boomstick: Big Boss' best weapons were able to damage the giant fucking robot, the Peacewalker who was built to survive nuclear wars and would need an atomic warhead to break through its armor.
Wiz: While nuclear bombs can vary in power from a few kilotons, like the Fat Man bomb, to fifteen megatons like the Castle Bravo Bomb. Depending on which end of the scale is used, either Heidern could completely tank Big Boss' best weapons or he would be instantly destroyed by them in one shot.
Boomstick: And since Big Boss was the better tactician and sneaking agent, it was possible for him to use his better sneaking ability to get behind Heidern and blow him up when he wasn't looking.
Wiz: If it wasn't for speed. While Big Boss is fast enough to react to bolts of lightning, Heidern is able to react to rays of light, a difference of over 680 times.
Boomstick: So even if Big Boss got into a lucky position, he wouldn't be able to land a shot in the first place. And that's assuming Heidern didn't already run up and cut Big Boss into a million pieces before he blinked.
Wiz: While Big Boss was the greatest military in the entire world, he was ultimately outmatched by Heidern's raw strength, speed and killing potentially.
Boomstick: Eye hate to Cut it to you, but Big Boss' plans blew up in his face.
Wiz: The winner is Heidern.
Winner: Heidern:
- + Far stronger
- - Limited arsenal
- - Less skilled
- - Could potentially be killed by Big Boss' best weapons
- + Is fast enough to dodge them
Loser: Big Boss:
- + Far more skilled
- + Better arsenal
- + Could potentially kill Heidern with strongest weapons
- - But is too slow to hit him
- + Smarter
- + Better at Stealth
- - Far weaker
Next Time on Death Battle...[]
Sosuke Aizen: "The laws of nature are for beings who must live their lives bound by them. Now, shall we carry on? To a place beyond all laws."
Gemini Saga: "Those who abandon all hope and wish not to fight, can only find death."
Trivia[]
Connections:
- Both Big Boss and Heidern are leaders of massive military organisations that aren't tied to an individual country (Outer Heaven for Big Boss and the Ikari Warriors for Heidern).
- Both are fueled by revenge after losing those close to them, including their men.
- Both tragically lost their right eye.
