A blast from the past.

Bendy and The Ink Machine Vs Cuphead! Which Old-Timey Indie Icon would win in a Death Battle?!
Interlude[]
Necro: In the year 1930, a specific type of animation became popular.
Mercer: And in the year 2017, this animation became popular because of these two game characters.
Necro: Bendy, The Dancing Demon.
Mercer: And Cuphead, the Soul Taxman.
Necro: I'm Necro, and he's Mercer and together we are Necromercer.
Necromercer: And it's our job to analyze their weapons armour and skills to find out who would win a DEATH BATTLE!
Bendy draws himself into DEATH BATTLE![]
Necro: At Joey Drew studios something evil lurks. That evil is Bendy, the ink demon.
Mercer: Born from the infamous ink machine Bendy has a wide array of powers that come from him being made of nothing but ink.
Necro: Bendy can paint entire rooms with ink just by being present, short-range teleportation, and Bendy is also completely immune to physical attacks, only being able to be hurt by liquid or energy based attacks.
Mercer: Bendy can create Searchers, which are creepy as fu-(Gets smacked in the face.)
Necro: Keep it PG.
Necro: Bendy's regeneration is insane. As long as there is a single drop of ink left of him, Bendy can reform to maximum potential.
Mercer: Bendy can create other ink creatures, other than the Searchers.
Necro: During Bendy's short fight with the Projectionist he killed the monster who had been terrorising Henry for a long period of time. He tore it's head off with ease. Assuming the projector's head was made of steel, aluminium and plastic, bendy would have to exert a minimum of six hundred and eighty pounds of force.
Mercer: Bendy also dodged bullets from a Tommy gun. Automatic fire moves at somewhere around three thousand, six hundred and fifty-nine miles per hour.
Necro: Bendy tanked bullets from that Tommy gun and a beating from a wrench.
Mercer: Bendy has a super form that multiplies his strength speed and durability by roughly three times.
Necro: The form's name is Beast Bendy.
Mercer: Beast Bendy is stronger than Boris, an ink creature that can send cracks throughout entire stone floors in a single punch. The floor was roughly sixteen yards wide, and assuming a concrete composition, the force needed to crack the floor as severely as it was cracked is thirty-one thousand five hundred and six pounds of force or fifteen and a half tons.
Necro: While Bendy's is powerful and his regeneration is amazing, without the ink machine Bendy's ink becomes finite, or very limited. The ink machine provides Bendy with infinite ink, so without the ink machine, his power becomes very limited, and once he runs out of its game over, man.
Mercer: But even with such a massive weakness, Bendy is still a powerhouse.
Bendy: ... (No quotes)
Cuphead makes a deal with DEATH BATTLE![]
Necro: Cuphead is a young cup who was born(?) and raised on Inkwell Isle.
Mercer: And then he and his little brother Mugman did some gambling and lost their souls to the devil.
Necro: Tough break.
Mercer: Then Cuphead made a deal with the devil, and went to go kill some fools to collect their soul contracts with the devil.
Necro: But to do this Cuphead needed a weapon. And that weapon is a lot of booze.
Mercer: The booze gave Cuphead a variety of special weapons. The first of which is the Peashooter. A rather weak super-charged bullet of alcohol that deals with minimal damage, but it can be rapidly fired.
Necro: The Eight-way is a powerful bullet weapon that shoots eight bullets at one time, but it only works at a range of about six or seven feet.
Mercer: The Lobber is a powerful bubble of booze that is shot in an arch, that bounces along the ground.
Necro: The Charge shot is a blast that starts off weak, but can be charged to deal a lot of damage in a single hit.
Mercer: The Roundabout is a medium-sized disk of alcohol that fires in front of Cuphead for a few feet, but it then makes a U-turn and fly backwards and hits something behind it.
Necro: The Chaser is a weak start of alcohol that homes in on the target and deals small damage, but like the Peashooter it can be rapidly fired.
Mercer: Cuphead is fast enough to dodge bolts of electricity, which move at two hundred thousand miles per hour.
Necro: Cuphead destroyed a large gate that was made of an unidentified stone, so for the sake of debate, we will assume a lime and sandstone composite. To destroy the gate, which was roughly (Rough estimation) fifteen yards tall ( forty-five feet tall) And ten yards wide (Thirty feet) Cuphead would need to exert a force of roughly one hundred and forty-two thousand PSI, or seventy-one tons of force.
Mercer: Cuphead can turn himself into a plane that can fly at speeds faster than Calamari's laser eyes, so a good four hundred million miles per hour.
Necro: Cuphead can tank multiple fireballs and lasers from dragons and gorgons, which put his durability at around large city block level, so roughly sixty tons of force or one hundred and twenty thousand PSI.
Mercer: Cuphead has many different items that grant him special abilities.
Necro: First up is the Parry Sugar, an item that allows Cuphead to parry any parryable attacks (Pink attacks, randomly spawn, and because this is Death Battle, at least some of Bendy's attacks will be pink.) that make contact with him. Parrying generates power for Cuphead's special attacks, that we will talk about shortly.
Mercer: Next up is the Smoke Bomb, an item that allows Cuphead to teleport a few yards in any direction.
Necro: The Whetstone is a small rock that deals damage to an enemy whenever Cuphead uses the Parry Sugar.
Mercer: Cuphead has many special attacks that are quite devastating.
Necro: First up is special that makes Cuphead invincible for a few seconds. This works by Cuphead crossing the astral plane.
Mercer: Next is an energy beam that is made of milk that can disintegrate almost anything that is caught in it.
Necro: And finally is a ghost summoning that deals heavy damage to thing that is caught in its spin attack.
Mercer: Cuphead also has a weaker special called an EX attack. It is usually just a larger version of the shot cuphead is using when he activates the ex attack. It usually holds two or three hundred of the shot. (Meaning if Cuphead was using the Peashooter, the attack would do damage equal to two or three hundred of the Peashooter bullets.)
Necro: But of course Cuphead has quite a few weaknesses. The first of which is Cuphead's durability, or rather lack of it. Cuphead can only take a total of around three or four hits before he dies, and Cuphead has absolutely no melee options, as all of his attacks are ranged. The eight-way is a close-range attack, but it is still a ranged attack. Cuphead is also really greedy, even willing to gamble his soul away for a large sum of money. He is also very impulsive, and strategy is not really his strong suit.
Mercer: But despite these weaknesses, Cuphead still defeated the devil and won his soul back, and despite being very young, Cuphead is very experienced and battle-hardened.
Cuphead: "C'mon Mug! We have to find Elder Kettle. He'll know what to do!"
Set[]
Necromercer: All right, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all, it's time for a DEATH BATTLE!
Fight[]
Joey Drew Animation Studios.
Cuphead ran down the main hall of the creepy studio. He turned a corner and stepped into a large room, with a large, ugly machine in the middle of the room. Suddenly a PA system crackled to life.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have a short production starring our very own Bendy! And a strange Cupheaded newcomer! (We can say that right? Is that racial profiling?)"
A black mass slithered through the opposite doorway. It began to convulse until a pair of legs popped out of it, followed by a pair of arms, and then a crescent moon shaped head.
Cuphead adjusted his shorts.
"A BRAWL IS SURELY BREWING"
"WALLOP!"
(Cue: One Hell of a Time)
"Such a puny attack!" Bendy exclaimed as he swung his hand at Cuphead, in an attempt to scratch him.
Cuphead dodged and switched to the eight-way, which blasted Bendy back to the other side of the room.
"Ouch...That was a good one. But it is not enough to kill me!"
"We'll see about that!" Cuphead exclaimed as he switched to the Lobber, and he then began to fire massive bubbles at bendy.
Bendy exploded into a large puddle of ink the began to creep up the walls of the room. Cuphead fired the bubbles at the wall, managing to slow the ink's progress.
But it was to no avail. The ink completely covered the room, and a gigantic Bendy face appeared on the wall behind cuphead, and three large arms sprouted from the wall and ceiling and floor. Cuphead changed his shot back to the eight-way, and he then lept on top of the large machine in the middle of the room. Bendy growled and launched the first hand at cuphead, the one on the wall, being careful not to hit the machine. Cuphead leaped over the hand, and fired the eight-way, managing to blow off Bendy's pinky finger. Bendy howled and the ink in the room began to dissipate, floating away, down the hall and into a room with a pentagram painted on the floor, and an open coffin propped open on the wall.
Cuphead ran after the ink into the room, noticing the words "DREAMS COME TRUE." scrawled on the walls in black ink. When Cuphead made to the middle of the room, the floor began to creak and crack. With a scream of terror, Cuphead realized that this room was a trap! Bendy appeared on the other side of the room, and he then rushed cuphead, who did not have time to react. Bendy grabbed cuphead by the shirt and slammed him through the floor, sending him flying down a large pit. Cuphead hit the ground. Hard.
"OW. Where... where am I?"
"Welcome to Bendy land!" Cuphead heard from the top of the sign that he just now noticed. It read BENDY LAND In big, shiny letters.
Then he saw, the ink demon standing on top of the sign, with an ink top hat, propped up in-between his horns, and a cane in hand.
"Would you kindly buckle up in the roller costar car, that is coming your way at ninety-seven miles per hour."
Cuphead barely managed to jump on top of the car. Cuphead changed his weapon to the chase and fired it at bendy, who tried and failed to dodge the attacks. The small stars slammed into him and blasted him off the top of the sign. Bendy hit the floor with, a splat, turning in a puddle of ink on the ground.
Bendy reformed, with ink running down his face, beginning to cover his eyes. His teeth grew into fangs, and he grew until he was three times his normal size. It was Beast Bendy! Bendy screamed and Ran at Cuphead, who lept off of the roller costar car, and landed on his feet, as he realized that the costar car was running out of track. Cup head switched to the charge shot and began to charge an orange fireball.
Cuphead and Beast Bendy were getting closer and closer until they were just a few feet from one another. Thirty feet. Twenty feet. Ten Feet. Three feet, Two feet, One Foot. Cuphead used the Smoke Bomb and appeared behind Beast Bendy. Cuphead Turned around and fired the Charge Shot. Beast bendy was blown over the tracks! With a monster-like scream, Beast Bendy fell out of sight. Cuphead sighed and turned into a plane, and flew out of Bendy Land. Cuphead landed back in the room he started in. As he began to walk out, A noise behind him made him turn around. Beast Bendy was right behind him. Bendy punched Cuphead full force. Cuphead went flying into the Ink Machine, completely wrecking it. Beast Bendy realized his blunder."I figured you out," Cuphead said from the wreckage of the Ink Machine.
"I knew that the fall would not kill you, and I knew that you can travel through ink pipes. And when I jumped on this machine earlier, you made sure, not to hurt it at all, even though it cost you a finger. So I figured that it was the source of your power. This machine that you destroyed. You may be big, but you sure are stupid. And I've been charging this the whole time." Cuphead said as he lept into the air and began to spin. The liquid in his head began to glow.
Beast Bendy created a large ink shield and a few searchers, and ordered the searchers to attack Cuphead. Cuphead finished spinning, and he fired a massive beam of liquid. The liquid completely destroyed the searchers, and it struck the shield. The shield began to melt away, but Bendy was not done yet. He poured more and more ink into the shield until the beam stopped. And when the beam dissipated, so did Bendy's shield. The exhausted Ink Demon fell to his knees on the ink-stained wooden floor. Cuphead dashed over to Bendy, charging a Charge Shot as he went. Cuphead stopped in front of Bendy. He pointed his finger at Bendy's head.
(Cue: Fated Battle-Super Mario Galaxy-Play from 00:17 onward.
"Gotcha chump," Bendy exclaimed as he jumped up, with his fist cocked back, to punch Cuphead. Cuphead fired the Charge Shot.
(Music Stop)
"Cuphead?...Brother? Are you okay?"
"Mugman? Am I dead?"
" What? Of course not! You're at home in your bed. We found you in an old abandoned studio. You were unconscious. You kept muttering something about an Ink Monster. Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine. Let's go have some fun, okay?"
"Sure! Sounds Great!
K.O.
Results[]
Necro: Wow! That was cooler than I expected.
Mercer: I know right?!
Necro: So why did Cuphead win? Well for starters, Cuphead was way, way faster. Bendy may have reacted to bullets, but Cuphead reacted to electricity, and in his plane form Cuphead has reacted to lasers.
Mercer: In terms of strength, Bendy, even in his beast form was sorely outclassed. Bendy's fifteen tons is nothing compared to Cuphead's seventy-one tons.
Necro: Durability was one of the few categories that Bendy does take. Bendy's regeneration is quite powerful, but the Ink Machine is his downfall.
Mercer: Bendy is not exactly very smart, so Cuphead, who outsmarted the devil himself could easily trick Bendy into destroying the ink machine.
Necro: And while Cuphead is not a strategist, cuphead is an expert at exploiting the weaknesses of his foes. And as Bendy's is his general stupidity. Thus Cuphead would become a strategist.
Mercer: Cuphead's specials were one of the deciding factors in this fight. And while parrying is the fastest way for Cuphead to charge his specials, his specials still charge every time he hits something.
Necro: The final nail in Bendy's coffin was the fact that Cuphead's attacks are made of Alcohol, something Bendy has no resistance to. And with Bendy's soon to be limited Ink, when he is diluted, he would run out of ink, thus running out of regeneration. So in the end, Bendy was just too slow, too weak, and not versatile enough to kill Cuphead.
Mercer: Looks like Bendy got blown out of the water.
Necro: The winner is Cuphead.

Joey Drew Studios vs Studio MDHR! The 1930s was the decade dedicated to the Golden Age of Animation and today's gaming industry shows that by bringing two of the most iconic indie games to pop culture. Which 1930's rubber hose like indie game character will win?
Interlude[]
Wiz: Bendy, Joey Drew Studios' happy go lucky Dancing Demon turned monstrous Ink Demon.
Boomstick: Cuphead, the run 'n gunning soul contract collector of Inkwell Isle.
Wiz: We've all watched cartoons the same way most of us has played video games regardless of our age. However, these two beloved indie game characters would bring the old-fashioned rubber hose cartoon style back into the spotlight.
Boomstick: Now let's who which wacky indie game toons stands above the other in a merciless fight to the bitter end. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!
Bendy[]
Wiz: The 1930s, better known as the Golden Age of Animation.
Boomstick: Featuring some of the most iconic cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny, Popeye and Mickey Mouse.
Wiz: However, there is a certain company that was also around during the time. The company was none other than Joey Drew Studios: named after the founder himself Joey Drew. This small studio was the home of a small yet mischievous little demon that goes by the name of Bendy.
Boomstick: While some of the cartoon companies at the time made some stupid mistakes, even some today, Joey Drew Studios on the other hand is not as happy as it seems.
Wiz: Their soon-to-be mascot Bendy made his debut to the screens in 1929 in his first cartoon titled 'Little Devil Darling' after being Created by one of Joey's best workers Henry Stein.
Boomstick: A.K.A a possible relative of Ethan Winters from Resident Evil.
Wiz: What? (sigh) Nevermind. Since then, the company continued to animate some more shorts and even give Bendy some friends like Boris the Wolf and Alice Angel as well as some enemies known as the Butcher Gang.
Boomstick: And when the money comes in, the boss himself is going to lose his mind and do some stupid sh*t no one could possibly ever imagine and Joey Drew does a Mr. Krabs and lets his greed get the better of him. You may be wondering what Joey did that caused some concerns towards his employees. Oh you know? Buying a giant ink machine made to bring Bendy to reality!
Wiz: This is where Joey made such an insane thought. After testing the machine, it did its job but not a very good one. You see? The Ink Machine did make Bendy a real being, despite not having a soul, but it didn't look very similar to how the cartoons portray the demon.
Boomstick: At first, he just seemed harmless but all of a sudden he started attacking the employees within the studio and even killed some of them with Daniel "Buddy" Lewek being a primary victim.
Wiz: Anything the employees could do to Bendy just didn't work. Bendy was also strong enough to rip off a dead man's arm with no difficulty whatsoever and regrew a hand that got cut off him. This chaos resulted in Joey Drew Studios being no more, shut down for good.
Boomstick: Fast forward to 30 years where Henry gets a letter from not-so good old Joey asking him to return to the studio. Come on Drew! Let the man spend time with his family for crying out loud!
Wiz: Unfortunately, the studio was not what it used to be. After some time passed, the walls were broken and some areas were stained, even flooded, with ink.
Boomstick: But the worst thing about it is how they killed Boris, multiple ones too! Damn you Alice!
Wiz: After starting the Ink Machine back up, Henry would have his first encounter with the Ink Demon and would eventually be trapped within the depths of Joey Drew Studios after falling through some floorboards during his attempt to escape.
Boomstick: So now Henry has to find a way out as he learns more about the dark history behind the studio and the failed experiments of bringing their characters into the real world. Only problem is that those freaks are lurking around, including the Ink Demon himself.
Wiz: As the most powerful being within The Cycle, it’s no surprise that Bendy is quite the powerhouse. He can break through metal doors, create pure darkness with his presence and tear human limbs off.
Boomstick: He was also strong enough to rip the Projectionist’s frickin’ head off and kill off many Lost Ones with ease. If you can tell, this guy really likes ripping things to shreds.
Wiz: Bendy can tank not just physical attacks but even gunfire with no harm done to him. Even after losing a leg, he could simply regenerate thanks to the ink he was created from.
Boomstick: Guess being created without a soul really paid off. Things get even more crazy for Bendy if we take a look at his cartoon shorts and comics where he isn’t a big ol’ scary monster.
Wiz: Much like any rubber hose character, Bendy has your standard elastic limbs which he displayed when he shoved his hand through a telephone. You also can’t have a mischievous toon without weapons he can just randomly pull out of thin air.
Boomstick: He’s got a giant hot air balloon kept inside a small box, for some reason, magnetic boots and the Prospector’s Peak Ascender 3000. It’s just a grappling hook.
Wiz: He can endure metal objects to the head and survive falling from great heights whether that’s from a mountain or even the depths of outer space.
Boomstick: Bendy should also scale to his friend Boris who ate a good portion of the Moon. Yes, that really happened. It’s just standard things you see in rubber hose cartoons.
Wiz: As the Ink Demon, Bendy can fill many hallways with ink with own presence and should be far superior than everyone else in the studio. Brute Boris can toss roller coasters without hesitation, Striker can cause a hallway to shake and could drag Boris at incredible speeds.
Boomstick: The Ink Demon is also immune to Audrey Drew’s banishing powers which evaporate the studio’s creatures into nothing so clearly axes and tommy guns aren’t going to do a damn thing to this not-so-happy go lucky demon.
Wiz: This isn’t even his greatest form. With enough power, Bendy can morph into the almighty Beast Bendy. He’s much stronger and faster than his first monstrous form ever has been.
Boomstick: He was strong enough to smack Henry through a metal wall with a single backhand, shatter glass pillars by simply running into them and snapped Joey Drew’s spine by simply crushing it with a single fist. Oh by the way, that’s not even the real Joey Drew. It’s a fake one that resides in the studio.
Wiz: There’s only one proper way to truly bring Bendy’s reign of terror to end; that being a film reel titled “The End”.
Boomstick: A film reel? That’s all it takes?
Wiz: It sounds ridiculous but it’s the best option out there. When this reel is played in front of Bendy, he completely evaporates into nothing which was exactly how Henry managed to take down the great and powerful Ink Demon.
Boomstick: That may seem like a happy ending but let me tell you...it’s not.
Wiz: Even though Henry managed to bring the Ink Demon to his demise, The Cycle had been reset. However, it seemed as though Henry wouldn’t be the only one dragged into this strange loop.
Boomstick: Enter Audrey Drew, the half-human half-ink daughter of Mr. Drew herself wound up in the alternate world that resembled her father’s old studio.
Wiz: The man who manipulated her into going into these inky depths was a creepy old janitor named Wilson Arch who...took down the Ink Demon.
Boomstick: So first, Joey takes full credit for Bendy’s creation and now Wilson is over here claiming that he slayed the Ink Demon?! Jeez! Give Henry the credit he rightfully deserves already!
Wiz: He didn’t even kill the Ink Demon. He simply hired some Keepers to torture Bendy into morphing into a different form that resembled his usual appearance in his cartoons.
Boomstick: If only he didn’t turn out to be a different look hiding the Ink Demon’s true form. Just look at the little guy. How can you not want to be buddies with him?
Wiz: After breaking free from his weaker form, the Ink Demon came back and took back his rightful place as the ruler of The Cycle by ripping his throat out and tossing his corpse to the side.
Boomstick: Ripping? More like f*cking tearing it out! That was also the same guy who tore Audrey's legs off during their battle.
Wiz: All hope seemed lost for Audrey as the Ink Demon consumed her soul but with enough willpower, she managed to gain control of the beast and made her way to the nearest projector while slamming any Lost Ones that got in her way with Bendy’s powerful fists.
Boomstick: Just like that, The End played and Bendy was defeated once more. With that, Audrey had made it back to the real world at last...and look, Toon Bendy made it out of The Cycle with her!
Wiz: With the world Joey Drew created slowly but surely escaping into our world, it will only be a matter of time before the Ink Demon is brought back to life once again.
Cuphead[]
Wiz: Let us take you on a journey to a new world named Inkwell Isle, the home of two brothers named Cuphead and Mugman. These two fun-loving boys would usually be out catching butterflies, going to carnivals or engaging in whatever journey was ahead of them, all whilst under the watchful eye of their Elder Kettle.
Boomstick: The days were bright for the kiddos until they travelled far away from their home and wound up at the doors of the Devil’s Casino and despite Elder Kettle’s warning, they took their chances and started gambling. There’s absolutely no way that anyone working there would let these guys in right? I guess things were a lot different in the 30s.
Wiz: Cuphead and Mugman were on a winning streak and things weren’t so bad but The Devil himself introduced himself with a deal. If they won another round, they would be rewarded with all of the riches the casino had to offer.
Boomstick: That would be one hell of a deal if it weren’t for the fact that they would have to give up their souls if they lost.
Wiz: Although his brother was wary about the deal, Cuphead was too blinded by his potential fortune and took his chances. Unfortunately, this resulted in them getting Snake Eyes.
Boomstick: Basically another way of saying that they lost. The boys begged for their lives and surprisingly enough, the Devil would let them go as long as they retrieved the Soul Contracts of everyone else who gambled their lives and didn’t bother giving their souls away whenever they lost. That’s just the story of the game however. The show takes a bit of a different approach by having Cuphead getting chased by The Devil after he doesn’t give up his soul at a carnival where he was basically stealing the soul of anyone who lost his games.
Wiz: The task wasn’t going to be easy but thankfully for the two, Elder Kettle had a potion that would give them the ability to fight back and retrieve the contracts that they needed to earn their freedom.
Boomstick: What is that ability you may ask? Finger guns that literally shoot bullets! Too bad it doesn’t change the nightmares of trying to beat these damn bosses. Holy shit! It’s painful!
Wiz: There are various types of potions that grant Cuphead his finger gun abilities. His standard bullets are the Peashooter.
Boomstick: Is that-
Wiz: No Boomstick. It’s not a reference to Plants vs Zombies. Back to what I was saying, other shots include the Chaser which automatically follows Cuphead’s opponent although these bullets are very weak.
Boomstick: My favourite is the Spread which shoots three bullets at a time. The Roundabout one is pretty cool if I’m being honest. Sure, you gotta shoot backwards but it will come flying back at your foes who will take plenty of damage compared to shooting straight ahead if you can even land those forward hits in the first place.
Wiz: Following up those attacks is the Charge which has two variants. There’s a weak uncharged attack but using enough power will grant a much more powerful blast.
Boomstick: And finally, there’s the Lobber. They’re nothing but bouncing ball-shaped projectiles that are strong but also very slow.
Wiz: Outside of these many forms of finger bullets, Cuphead also has the ability to use a Parry attack that not only prevents himself from getting hit by any pink objects but can also be used as a way to load up his EX move which unleashes a powerful attack at his foes.
Boomstick: And these things change depending on what bullet type you’re using; massive fireballs, explosive attacks that fly in all directions, a forcefield, even a spinning saw. Nonetheless, this adventure-loving goofball is quite the powerhouse even without these potions.
Wiz: He's got not just a magic paintbrush but also a magic pencil too that can be used to draw and erase whatever he wants, even his own face.
Boomstick: Cuphead also holds possession of Muscle-B-Massive which is basically the Inkwell Isle version of steroids.
Wiz: Much like other rubber hose characters during the 1930s, Cuphead can stretch any part of his body such as when he took a gold coin from a much further distance and can even interact with the world around him such as when he tried pulling...the Moon.
Boomstick: Man, it just seems like every animated character in TV shows and video games must somehow be linked to the Moon in one way or another. He also got a cannon and fireworks and if you couldn’t tell, he seems to love blowing shit up for fun.
Wiz: Cuphead is also equipped with many other powers that aren’t just limited to bullets. He can use charms such as the Heart or even the Twin Heart to give himself additional lives although this does reduce his attack damage by 5 to 10 percent. He can also use the Heart Ring to regenerate one of his lives if needed.
Boomstick: He can also use the Dash in order to avoid falling through large gaps in his path and dodge incoming attacks but if he wants to get past obstacles more efficiently, he’s got the Smoke Bomb charm that allows him to teleport out of the way. That still doesn’t change the fact that I keep dying in this nightmare!

Boomstick: Goddamnit! I was so close!
Wiz: Cuphead is fast enough to dodge projectiles such as lightning attacks, cannonballs and fireballs. He also dodged and manoeuvred around lasers shot by Dr. Kahl’s Robot which brings us to his plane.
Boomstick: Yep. That’s right. Cuphead’s got a plane to fend off much bigger threats in the sky such as Wally Warbles, Hilda Berg and Djimmi the Great just to name a few. This was all likely done without any training of sorts.
Wiz: His plane can shoot a range of bullets and drop mini-bombs on his foes, shrink to squeeze through tight obstacles and fire missiles.
Boomstick: Oh and remember how I said Cuphead loves explosives? Well guess what? He can turn into one!
Wiz: When his Super Meter is at its full capacity while flying, he can transform into a bomb to explode on his opponent. He does however turn back into his regular form after said explosion.
Boomstick: The little guy can take a ton of pain. He’s survived being slammed into walls, getting attacked by a bear, getting crushed under a rolling boulder, getting bitten by multiple piranhas and being turned into stone by Cala Maria where he still managed to break free.
Wiz: Cuphead may have conquered over those who owed the Devil their souls, even ones that stand much taller than most buildings but he’s not exactly the brightest person around.
Boomstick: Not only does he ignore the dangers that await him on his journeys but he thought “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” was “Sprinkle Sprinkle Mr. Car”. Come on! It’s Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!
Wiz: Along with making foolish decisions, he’s also still capable of facing death. After all, his soul has been sucked out of his body plenty of times. No matter the weaknesses as he managed to obtain all of the required Soul Contracts in less than 24 hours before going head to head with King Dice and even The Devil himself.
Boomstick: And he successfully defeated both of them and he’s done this on more than one occasion. With the Devil finally giving up the final battle, Cuphead and Mugman were free from his wrath along with everyone else in Inkwell Isle. Finally! The horrors of staring into the Game Over screen were no more.
Wiz: This wouldn’t be Cuphead’s last adventure as he and Mugman set sail to meet Ms Chalice at the far-off Inkwell Isle 4 for a new adventure.
Boomstick: F*ck!
Wiz: However, the brothers and their newest member came out on top once again after defeating the secretly evil Chef Saltbaker and the other enemies on the island. Despite his brash and childish nature, Cuphead became Inkwell Isle’s greatest hero, with some extra help of course.
Boomstick: No matter when the Devil plans to strike fear towards Inkwell Isle, that won’t stop this adventure loving cup from making the most of his days.
Intermission[]

Wiz: Alright! The combatants are set and we've run the data through all possibilities!
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!
Death Battle[]
The day was bright for the people in Inkwell Isle. The Sun was shining in the blue sky and the local carnival was crowded. Some visitors included a small black and white demon named Bendy who was strolling around while Cuphead was snacking on some cotton candy with his brother Mugman. The two came across a “Shoot the Target” type game with the major prize being an action figure of a cowboy. This captured the attention of both Cuphead and Bendy although their reasons were very different; Bendy could use it as an addition to his toy train while Cuphead had the idea of sending it into the air with a firework. Both take notice of each other and lock eyes, determined to win the action figure for themself.
The two pay and start firing tennis balls at the targets. They had an equal amount of points and were left with the multiplier which would be enough to win the prize. As Bendy and Cuphead fired at the last target, both tennis balls hit it at the exact same time, resulting in a tie. Both look in shock at the turn of events before getting into an argument over who won the prize. Bendy started pointing towards himself, claiming that he was the one who hit the target first despite not saying a word.
Cuphead: Sorry bud. I got that last target before ya.
Bendy decides to trick Cuphead by pointing behind him and panicking. The trick works as Cuphead turns around and gives Bendy the chance to grab the toy without realising.
Cuphead: Huh?
(Music Stops)
He turns around and notices Bendy starting to wander off with the toy in his hand. Before he could leave, Bendy gets hit in the head with a hot dog which caused his head to spin around before he was facing the sentient cup who ended up getting a pie to the face. Both began taking turns of grabbing the toy from each other before they got a good grip on it.
Cuphead: Let...go. I won the toy fair and square!
Eventually, the toy was ripped in half and dropped on the ground, shocking the two before they frowned at each other and prepared to battle with Cuphead telling Mugman to tag along. Everyone else that was nearby began taking cover in the fear of getting injured.
Cuphead: Come on Mugs! Let’s show this lil’ devil who’s boss.
Mugman is seen hiding with the rest of the citizens instead of getting involved in Cuphead’s escalating quarrel with Bendy.
Mugman: Sorry Cuphead. You brought this upon yourself!
Cuphead: Fine. I’ll take care of him myself. Time to double down!

A good day for a swell battle! And begin!
Cuphead starts firing some Peashooters at Bendy who jumps at the sight of bullets travelling towards his direction. He quickly ducks and moves from side to side before getting struck in the chest where a hole had been made. However, Bendy manages to regenerate from the damage as he stretches his arm forward and grabs Cuphead before tossing him into a spinning carousel. Cuphead uses the carousel to launch himself with his fist in front as he and Bendy start punching each other in a cloud of smoke as chaos erupts in the carnival. Everyone is doing all they can to stay as far away from the battle as they possibly could.
They finally break free as Bendy pulls out an anvil above his opponent’s head but misses once Cuphead dashes out of the way. Bendy still manages to land a hit on Cuphead by throwing a brick to the head before throwing a few punches to the upper jaw. Cuphead unleashes an EX attack with the Spread bullets. Cuphead switches his bullets to the Charge attack which starts charging up before launching a fiery attack that sends Bendy flying backwards. He blows the smoke away from his finger while Bendy’s head bounces off his body which had been melted into an ink puddle. He then begins taunting his opponent as he stands in front of the puddle.
Cuphead: Ha!
Out of nowhere, a giant fist emerges from the puddle and sends Cuphead high into the air. Bendy allows his body to quickly reform and attach his head back to it before continuing the fight. However, Cuphead takes notice of this and starts firing once again. This time, he uses the Converge attack that rapidly fires three electric bolts at the same time and stun Bendy for a second. Just as Cuphead landed on the ground, Bendy unleashes his Devil Pitchfork and aims it towards Cuphead.
Cuphead: Hang on a second! Are you sure you ains't workin' for the Devil?
Bendy gives no answers and loads up a powerful charge from his pitchfork and unleashes an incoming blast at Cuphead who extends his legs high enough for a brief moment, allowing it to pass through. The attack lands on a patch of flowers that immediately morph into Ink Searchers who are ordered to go after Cuphead.
Cuphead: Uh oh.
The Searchers begin crowding around Cuphead and take turns at swinging their arms at their target. Meanwhile, Bendy continues blasting more nearby objects around him to create more enemies for Cuphead to face. Just as it seemed like he was overwhelmed, Cuphead takes out a magic pencil and quickly erases every Searcher approaching near him. Outraged by this, Bendy uses the pitchfork to evaporate the pencil. Bendy follows this up as he suddenly appears and points his weapon in front of his foe. Cuphead immediately brings out a magic brush and draws a giant hole above Bendy who takes notice moments before falling down and letting go of his pitchfork which Cuphead manages to get ahold of before the fall.
(Music Pauses)
Cuphead: Hmph. Too easy.
He proceeds to toss the pitchfork behind his back before making his way back to the carnival. What he doesn't expect is the pitchfork to bounce off a nearby sign and smack Cuphead in the face as he falls into the hole and begins to panic, screaming as he descends down into the seemingly empty void. To his surprise, the hole he created takes him to an abandoned studio where he lands in a puddle of ink.
Cuphead: Gross! How did I even get here to begin with?
All of a sudden, Cuphead begins to hear a very monotone voice that echoes through the strange new world.
??? (off-screen): You...are in my realm now.
Walking out of the shadows was what seemed to look like Bendy but a lot more intimidating. The Ink Demon growls as Cuphead turns around and sees the creature towering over him as he gulps in fear.
Cuphead: H-hey, pal. Gosh you've grown much taller since I last saw you. Heh heh.
The Ink Demon grabs Cuphead around the neck, slams him into the ground and prepares to crush his head with his foot. Cuphead reacts fast enough to dash out of the way as the Ink Demon's foot lands on the rusty wooden floor and lets out a frightening roar at his opponent's direction and stomps towards him at a rapid pace. The Ink Demon swings his claws at Cuphead whose cartoony body allows him to avoid getting slashed as he dodged nearly every attack before getting smacked through a wall courtesy of the Ink Demon. Cuphead gets up and is currently surrounded in a strange looking laboratory invaded with Searchers and Lost Ones. All of them spot Cuphead as soon as he spots them as the Ink Demon gives them their orders.
Ink Demon: You are...surrounded. Attack him, my pawns!
The Lost Ones begin to arm themselves with pipes and other tools they could get their hands on before they all charge towards Cuphead at once.
Cuphead: Come on then, freaks! Let's triple down!
Cuphead fights back with various shots, starting off with the Lobber where two giant projectiles are launched into the air and land on any ink monsters that get in close contact with that. As said monsters dissolve, Cuphead spices things up with the Twist-Up attack that fired two blue tornados that cause some Searchers and a trio of Lost Ones to be shredded until they are nothing but blobs of ink. He then finishes the rest of the Ink Demon's army by taking out a massive cannon that he lights up and aims directly towards his targets as well as the Ink Demon himself. The cannon fires a giant explosion of paint that melts the monsters and buries the Ink Demon.
Cuphead: Phew. Good riddance though there's still a lil' bit too much gunpowder.
A rumble begins to erupt around The Cycle as the Ink Demon reforms from the giant pile of ink and transforms into Beast Bendy who gives a now frightened Cuphead a large grin. Cuphead began running through the many halls of the studio with Bendy right behind, screaming in fear as he tried to find an escape route and find a way to fight back against the beast. Just as he was about to get crushed by Bendy's gigantic fists, Cuphead dashes out of the way as the monster chasing him runs directly through a wall which he phases through. Unfortunately, he was now led to a dead end where the Ink Machine resided and the only exit was now blocked by Beast Bendy who quickly grabs ahold of his soon-to-be new pawn.
Bendy: Your path...is blocked. Now give in...to your suffering.
In a couple of seconds, Cuphead is soon absorbed into Bendy's body and begins to fear for the worst. Bendy's "victory" was short-lived as he began to feel himself losing control of his own body.
Bendy: What?!
Within a few seconds, Cuphead gains full control of Bendy's body as he charges through some nearby tubes that break apart and spill ink all over the area. All Bendy can feel right now is the rage building inside him just before he meets his fate.
Bendy: Impossible! This is my realm!
Cuphead breaks free from the Ink Demon’s wrath immediately bursts like a balloon Bendy lets out one last roar as his body slowly begins to fade into nothingness from an energy beam that emerges from Cuphead’s head. Just as Bendy is completely erased, the Ink Machine is shattered into pieces on impact and everything faded into white.
(Music Pauses)
The scene fades back to Inkwell Isle where Mugman was standing at the front entrance of the carnival where the fight began as his brother suddenly popped back into his own world, surprising Mugman who had many questions.
Mugman: Cuphead? How did you get back here all of a sudden?
Cuphead: Eh. I ain’t too worried about figuring that out.
Cuphead shrugs off what just happened as the scene closes up.

Results[]
Boomstick: Oh come on! That was so unrealistic! It would take at least 20 tries to beat this boss.
Wiz: This fight was incredibly close and honestly, I was sort of expecting Bendy to come out on top given how he could’ve countered most attacks coming at him but we do believe we came to the right conclusion.
Boomstick: Now look, Bendy definitely had the edge in strength especially when it came to the Ink Demon. After all, he could rip humans and other deadly monsters lurking in the depths of Joey Drew Studios. On top of that, he had a far greater advantage in durability considering he can tank bullets, survive falling from outer space and was capable of regenerating parts of his body. Cuphead was definitely no slouch though.
Wiz: Bendy could defend himself against The Projectionist and Shipahoy Wilson but Cuphead was without a doubt the better fighter. How can he not? His whole game has a ton of bosses that he needs to battle throughout his journey.
Boomstick: While Bendy's pitchfork would definitely come in handy, Cuphead had a much wider range of weapons and abilities that he could defend himself with. For all we know, that magic pencil of his might have been useful if he were to erase Bendy from existence and that Massive-B-Muscle stuff could potentially allow him to compete in terms of raw power. Also, who's moon related feat was better? That's my question.
Wiz: That's honestly a good question, Boomstick. Both of these feats and scaling of sorts are very debatable as to which feat would be considered better but I doubt it would make much of a difference to the verdict.
Boomstick: In terms of intelligence, The Ink Demon was more of an animalistic creature but Cuphead? Let's just say he's not the brightest guy in Inkwell Isle, often making dumb decision after another but he'd probably still get the edge there because he's at least he's not the mindless ink creature in this situation.
Wiz: Cuphead was also much faster, being able to dodge fireballs, cannons, lasers and other incoming projectiles. Not even Beast Bendy would be able to keep up with him. Even if that wasn't the case, his long ranged attacks could definitely come in handy and keep a great distance between him and Bendy for however long his bullets hurt the demon.
Boomstick: Let's address something a few of you guys might be wondering. While yes, Bendy could have won by consuming the life out of Cuphead but there is one way to bypass that. With enough heart, Audrey was able to take control of Bendy's body from within and finish him off from there.
Wiz: Considering Cuphead was also able to break free from being turned into stone which is possible to do if you have such a strong heart, it's likely the same could happen in that situation.
Boomstick: Cuphead's true flaw was not having access to The End, the true way to stop the Ink Demon. Weirdly enough though, he has ways of winning even without the reel.
Wiz: Bendy is made out of large amounts of ink that can be washed away according to Allison and since a few of Cuphead's abilities such as the Energy Beam is made out of a substance of liquid, that being the drink stored in his head, there's a pretty solid chance that using this power would serve as an advantage.
Boomstick: So even with all of the crazy powers that Bendy's got, Cuphead's arsenal could counter most of it in one way or another.
Wiz: Bendy might have had greater power and endurance at his disposal but Cuphead's experience, weapons and abilities allowed him to emerge from the Ink Demon's wrath.
Boomstick: Cuphead managed to bend the victory into his favour.
Wiz: The winner is Cuphead.

Trivia[]
- The connections between Bendy and Cuphead are:
- Indie game characters that take heavy inspiration from old-school rubberhose cartoons from the 1930s
- Both are mischievous troublemakers that tend to seek for adventure, often being tagged along with their big-nosed sidekick (Boris and Mugman) and a charming female associated with angels (Alice and Ms. Chalice)
- The connections between The Ink Demon and Cuphead are:
- Their stories begin with the theme of greed (The Ink Demon was created by Joey Drew as an attempt to bring his cartoons to life whilst he was blinded by his own overambition and Cuphead gambled his soul to the Devil after being blinded by potential riches at the Casino); this would always be main actions for both characters (The Ink Demon taking control over The Cycle due to his hatred towards his creator who left him to rot and Cuphead having to travel Inkwell Isle to collect other soul contracts as part of a deal to have his and Mugman’s lives spared)
- Their first game ends with the greater evil being defeated in different ways to each other (The Ink Demon was the one to be defeated and almost disappearing entirely whilst Cuphead was the one to defeat the Devil and set the other souls free from his wrath, saving all of Inkwell Isle)
- The next addition to their story (Bendy and the Dark Revival and Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course) would introduce a new twist villain who manipulate the protagonist into giving them power (Wilson Arch and Chef Saltbaker); said twist villains would soon be defeated by the Ink Demon and Cuphead themselves as well as the new female protagonist (Audrey and Ms. Chalice)
- A contrast that these two share is that Bendy is a literal demon and Cuphead having fought the Devil himself.
- This battle would be animated in a traditional cartoon style.
