Description.

The episode opens with the Death Battle transition card closing before opening again to show the Great Saiyaman watching as Ben slams down upon the Omnitrix, which then pauses and grays out as Ringmaster shouts…

Wiz: Ben Tennyson.

Boomstick: Son Gohan.

Wiz: The Wielder of the Omnitrix and the Son of Goku. Bridging the gap between the old and new generations, which cosmic alien hero will prevail?

Boomstick: He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick!

Wiz: And it’s our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!

Ben 10 Returns to DEATH BATTLE!

(Queue Niall Stenson - Hero Time)

Wiz: For the most part, Ben Tennyson was just your average ten year old boy. He liked Sumo Slammers, had a distaste for Smoothies, and constantly fought with his twin cousin Gwen. Yet he also had a knack for standing up for others who couldn’t stand up for themselves and sticking his nose where it didn’t belong. And then, everything changed the day his Grandpa Max took him and Gwen on a summer road trip they would never forget.

Boomstick: While going for a stroll through the woods at a campsite, a strange asteroid crashed right in front of him, which turned out to be a space pod. And well… you know the rest.

Wiz: (Sninging) ♫ It started when an Alien Device did what it did, and stuck itself upon his wrist with secrets that it hid. ♫

Boomstick: (Singing) ♫ Now he's got superpowers, he's no ordinary kid, he's Ben 10~! ♫

Wiz: Right, with that out of the way, this was the Omnitrix, one of the most powerful devices in the universe. That said, for all its power, it’s NOT a weapon. The Omnitrix’s creator, the brilliant Azmuth, created the Omnitrix for all the lifeforms in the Universe to be able to walk a mile in each other’s shoes. In addition, it can also repair genetic damage to any sapient species it has a sample of, and even resurrect a species if it goes extinct. Such as when he revived the Petrocapiens after they were wiped out by the cosmic warlord, and Ben’s arch-nemesis, Vilgax.

Boomstick: But naturally, since it ended up in the hands of a ten year old, he used it to become a crime-fighting superhero. Only downside was, the damn thing never worked half the time! He could only stay transformed for ten minutes at a time, and he’d sometimes he’d randomly mistransform into an alien he didn’t select. Honestly he spent just as much time fighting with the watch as he did fighting the bad guys.

Wiz:  Well, the original Omnitrix seen in the classic series was a prototype, and these features were ironed out in later models and revisions. The recalibrated Omnitrix seen in Alien Force, for example, had the mistransformation glitch patched out completely, in addition to shorter recharge times and automatically detransforming Ben in safe situations to preserve it’s battery, features that would be retained in the current model; the Omnitrix 2.0.

Boomstick: The Omnitrix can also let Ben quick-change between forms on the fly, has a built in communicator, can lock him as a specific transformation if needed, and if he comes across an alien that doesn’t have it’s DNA catalog in the watch, it can scan them and add them to his own arsenal of transformations.

Wiz: Finally, the Omnitrix has several failsafes in the event of a bad situation. For example, if something or someone tries to forcibly pry it off his wrist, the Omnitrix can release a small electro-shock or a massive pulse of energy. If Ben’s life is in mortal peril, it will automatically transform him into the perfect alien needed to survive the situation, and if someone does manage to get around all of these failsafes, it has a self-destruction mode.

Boomstick: Just don’t let the feedback build up for too long or when it goes… it takes the Universe with it. Bummer.

Wiz: Yeah.

Boomstick: But let’s be real, you’re all here for the aliens. And truth be told, so am I! The original 10 are among the coolest in the series, or should I say, hottest! Heatblast is the OG, and he’s way more versatile than your standard fire-guy! Not only does he shoot fire, but he can also absorb it, make flaming constructs like daggers and disks, fly, and even go Supernova!

Wiz: If muscle is your preference, Four Arms and Diamondhead are two of best’s toughest, although Cannonbolt seems to be stronger than both of them. He might not look like much, but Cannonbolt was strong enough to destroy a giant alien leech capable of destroying entire planets. Though my preference goes to aliens like Brainstorm and Grey Matter, who’s superintelligence allows them to outsmart foes instead of brute force the problem.

Boomstick: Wildvine and Swampfire can control planet life, Upgrade amalgamates with technology, Big Chill spews ice and can turn intangible, and Jetray can fly across the Universe in seconds! Yeah as Ben got older, the scope and scale of the threats he fought got way bigger. He went from fighting street gangs, evil clowns, and a guy who mutates animals, to fighting galactic tyrants and entire interplanetary wars. And for all that, he became an agent of the Plumbers, basically the space law-enforcement. As it turned out, his Grandpa was one.

Wiz: Aliens like Chromastone can absorb energy, including blasts from interdimensional gods, and restore destroyed planets. Rath, while not particularly overpowered, is also one of Ben’s most unique aliens, what with his knuckle spikes, enhanced strength, and… eccentric personality.

Boomstick: LET ME TELL YA SOMETHING WIZ, RATH IS THE BEST ALIEN!

Wiz: Sure…

Boomstick: As Clockwork Ben can control and bend time to his will, Gravattack can control gravity and rip black holes open in space, Shocksquash can shoot lightning and is canadian, and as Way Big, he gets into massive Ultraman/Kaiju fights and can fire cosmic rays from his arms. Fun fact, Way Big’s are born from random cosmic storms across the Universe.

Wiz: Among Ben’s most powerful aliens is Feedback, who’s also one of his personal favorites. Much like Chromastone, Feedback can absorb and redirect energy, but seemingly on a much higher scale, such as when he absorbed and weaponized the Big Bang.

Boomstick: Said to be even stronger than Feedback is Atomix, who can fire Nuclear Kamehameha’s, create star’s, and send his evil twin Albedo flying. Who’s Albedo? A Galvan who got himself stuck in Ben’s form with a knock-off Omnitrix that can turn into Ultimate Aliens. And Atomix just no-diff’d him!

Wiz: But when push comes to shove, Ben busts out his ultimate transformation; Alien X. A Celestialsapien from beyond the Multiverse itself, Alien X has absolute control over all reality. He can do basically anything that any single one of Ben’s aliens can do, but all at once, on a cosmic scale beyond your comprehension. For example, Clockwork has comparable Time Manipulation to Alien X, but lacks the physical ability to compare to him. Atomix and Way Big have similar destructive power to Alien X, but are effectively giant bricks. Alien X is the best of all of Ben’s aliens, all in one.

Boomstick: Alien X can use telekinesis, control minds, rewrite reality, will black holes into existence, restore and reverse destroy universes after tanking the destruction of said Universe, and blink people out of existence. Alien X is basically invincible. The only downside? Celestialsapiens are made up of multiple personalities, and if Ben can’t get Bellicus and Serena to agree to do something, Alien x won’t do it.

Wiz: At least until he convinced them to let him have full control over Alien X, since you know, he kind of has to protect the entire universe. That said, Ben generally doesn’t like using Alien X, and he’ll only bust the transformation as a last resort.

Boomstick: That’s a pity, because Alien X can move so fast he creates galaxy sized black holes, meaning he’d have to be moving seven quadrillion times faster than light. That’s fucking fast!

Wiz: Even without Alien X, as Clockwork, he was able to undo the effects of a Chronosapien Time Bomb, which caused the destruction of the Infinite Multiverse. Let me be clear, he reversed the destruction of infinity.

Boomstick: He’s foiled Galactic armies like the Highbreed and the Incursions, the latter of whom had a space ray that could blow up planets in seconds, and he just overpowered it like it was nothing! He’s fought with Aggreagor, who could fly across galaxies in a matter of minutes, taken down Vilgax more times than he can count, and survived having the Big Bang go off in his face thanks to the Omnitrix’s failsafes. Hell, he even out-box’d another Celestialsapien!

Wiz: Best of all, after unlocking the Secrets of the Omnitrix, he unlocked Master Control, which bypasses the prior time limits and allows him to stay as any alien form indefinitely, while also allowing for automatic mental changing between alien forms. By the time he was Sixteen, he had already become a well-rounded and mature hero with intergalactic fame, rehabilitating his childhood rival and future cousin-in-law Kevin 11 and inspiring and leading younger heroes to continue on the fight for good, while also serving as a symbol for Intergalactic peace and co-existence.

Boomstick: But most importantly of all, he grew out of his distaste for Smoothies. Now he can’t get enough of them, no matter how weird the flavor. Guy’s taste buds are broken I tell you.

Wiz: S-Sure…

Boomstick: He might not always be the most serious, but when lives are on the line, then you know it’s Hero Time. He’s the baddest kid to ever save the day. He’s Ben 10.

Gohan Unleashes the Beast in DEATH BATTLE!

(Queue Friedrich Habetler Music - Gohan’s Anger)

Wiz: The year is Age 761, five years after Goku’s legendary defeat of the Demon King Piccolo reborn. Now, the World Martial Arts Champion has grown more than just in strength in the time sense, he’s also become a Father. Welcome to the world, Son Gohan.

Boomstick: Gohan might’ve been Goku’s kid, but the two couldn’t be more different. Even as a kid Goku was adventurous, but Gohan was a bit of a coward. Goku loved fighting, but Gohan wasn’t interested at all. He was more interested in studying and becoming a scholar, until… his space uncle, the Saiyan Warrior Raditz showed up, kidnapped him, and forced Goku and Piccolo to fight to death to save him.

Wiz: Upon learning that more Saiyan’s would be coming in a year’s time, and Goku had died protecting his son, Piccolo decided to take upon the task of training Gohan in the art of fighting. This was because while Gohan may not enjoy fighting, he had an incredible latent potential buried deep within.

Boomstick: By five years old, Piccolo had taught Gohan the basics of martials arts. He can throw hands with people twice or even three times his age, fly at hypersonic speeds, sense energy levels, and shoot lasers from his hands! He may have still been a bit of a coward, but when you’re up against god-damn Vegeta… I don’t blame him.

Wiz: Gohan’s cowardice during the Saiyan Invasion ultimately lead to Piccolo sacrificing himself for the young boy, showing how much Gohan had rubbed off on the forming demon king, and ensuring a bond between the two that would last for years to come. It also motivated Gohan to fight even harder on Namek so he could bring Piccolo, as well as all of his friends who fell against the Saiyan’s back to life.

Boomstick: And with techniques like the Masenko, he had no problem plowing through waves of Frieza Soldiers. For dicier situations, or when Gohan succumbs to a moment of pure rage, he overwhelms the opponent with volleys of Ki from the Gekiretsu Madan or Wild Rush Blaster.

Wiz: And after having some of his latent potential awoken by the Grand Namekian Guru-

Boomstick: You mean Super Kami Guru.

Wiz: -Gohan had a massive growth in power as a result. Especially when he gets a Zenkai Boost, a unique Saiyan Power that manifests when a Saiyan survives a near-fatal wound and makes a complete recovery. Upon doing so, a Saiyan’s Ki will grow exponentially, and their body will subconsciously imprint upon itself and learn from the injuries and experiences. So while Goham may have not done a lot of winning on Namek, he did get plenty of valuable fighting experience and Zenkai Boosts. So much so that he was able to defeat Garlic Jr. and destroy the Makyo Star all by himself just a year later.

Boomstick: He also got a broken neck! …I tell ya that kid was definitely traumatized at least twice over on Namek.

Wiz: But when Doctor Gero’s Androids began knocking at their doorsteps, each of them with a power level that dwarfed Frieza, it was clear that Gohan was falling behind. Even Goku recognized that if Gohan wanted to become a scholar like he wanted, he would need to step up and help save the world from the fearsome Cell.

Boomstick: And so, after some super intense sparring with his dad, Gohan finally unlocked the Legendary Form of Super Saiyan! The classic golden form boosts his power level by 50x, at the cost of draining ki and stamina while using it, but it’s still his go-too transformation for most fights. I mean, he could also turn into a Great Ape, but… he loses his clothes every time he turns into one.

Wiz: Then, Goku and Gohan trained to reduce the emotional and physical strain that Super Saiyan put upon their bodies, allowing them to Master the form. While not a separate transformation, this variant of the form is commonly referred to as Super Saiyan Full Power, Mastered Super Saiyan, or Super Saiyan Grade Four.

Boomstick: But when it was finally time for Gohan to face down Mister Perfect Cell himself for the fate of the planet, Super Saiyan wasn’t enough. He needed to be able to let go, to overcome his fear of what happened when he snapped in battle. Sure he’d done it plenty of times before, but at this point, even he knew he was teetering on the edge of something that he might not be able to control.

Wiz: Sadly, he struggled to unleash that power, until the death of Android 16. He, as well as Androids 17 and 18, had come to find appreciation for life. He spent his last moments urging Gohan that it was okay to let go, to fight for a just cause.

Boomstick: And seeing 16 die, someone he could’ve saved… Gohan finally snapped.

Wiz: While others have been able to transform into the state of Super Saiyan 2, Gohan was the first to use the form. Multiplying the already incredible power of Super Saiyan by 2, Super Saiyan 2 allowed Gohan to turn his fight with Cell into a one-sided beat-down. As well as demonstrate the most powerful Kamehameha seen in the series up to that point.

Boomstick: It also turned him into an arrogant little-shit, a whole other problem he’d spend years needing to overcome. But he made up for it by winning the single-handed coolest beam struggle ever. Seriously, the Father-Son Kamehameha is the coolest finisher to any Dragon Ball Fight. Ever.

Wiz: In the years of peace after his victory over Cell, Gohan did develop a few additional techniques like the short-range Explosive Madan and the Tenma Defense, but he largely chose to focus on his pursuing his studies over fighting and training. A decision that came back to haunt him when Majin Buu was revived, and even the full power of Super Saiyan 2 was incapable of so much as scratching the monster.

Boomstick: Luckily for Gohan, the Supreme Kai’s took him under their wing and trained him in Mind, Body, and Soul, drastically improving his base abilities to unlock his latent potential. Kind of like what Guru, but while Guru just made his latent potential more accessible, the Elder Supreme Kai was able to help Gohan draw out all of it, to the forefront. This form has had many names, from “Elder Kai Unlock Ability” to “Potential Unleashed”, but you can just call it; Ultimate Gohan.

Wiz: All of the power of a Super Saiyan, multiplied exponentially, and accessed in what is effectively his Base form. No Rage, no strain, no loss in stamina. It’s the perfect transformation.

Boomstick: Aaaaaand he fumbled again. Man he’s really gotta stop doing that.

Wiz: Well, in the decade or so since Buu’s defeat, Gohan has been working to establish a balance between his training to defend the world, being able to focus on finally achieving his dream job as a scholar, and spending time with his wife Videl, and their daughter Pan.

Boomstick: Plus doing some hero work on the side as a Great Saiyaman!

Wiz: And to be fair, Gohan did step up when it mattered most. He was key in Universe 7’s victory in the Tournament of Power, during which is pushed his Ultimate Form so far he managed to match Super Saiyan Blue Goku, who could destroy our Universe 75000 times over with shockwaves moving 240 quadrillion times the speed of light at a minimum.

Boomstick: He’s even been training in secret to keep his skills sharp, mastering Piccolo’s Special Beam Cannon when nobody was looking and using it to take out Cell 2.0 alongside his all new form; Beast Gohan!

Wiz: There’s a lot of debate about what the Beast form actually is. We know, for starters, it’s an evolution of his Ultimate Form specifically, but how exactly is unclear. Considering Piccolo also got an Ultimate Form during the same Arc, and later a stronger variant known as Orange Piccolo, it’s likely both that and Beast Gohan are the same transformation, an Evolved Ultimate state if you would. Alternatively, consider the Beast transformation’s intention resemblance to his Super Saiyan 2 form, straight down to its manifestation over the perceived death of someone he could not protect and power achieved via fury. It’s possible that Beast is a transformation that fused the Ultimate and Super Saiyan forms together to produce something stronger, not unlike how Goku fused Super Saiyan 1 into Super Saiyan God to create the Blue Form.

Boomstick: However it works, it’s pretty frickin’ powerful! He two-shot Cell Max, who was comparable to Blue Goku, Blue Vegeta, and Super Saiyan Broly, and even matched Ultra Instinct Goku! He’s really come a long way.

Wiz: From scared little boy to savior of the Universe, Son Gohan truly has become a Hero in his own right, and a worthy successor to the Legacy of Goku.

Pre-Fight

Wiz: Alright the combatants are set and we’ve run the data through all possibilities.

Boomstick: It’s time for a DEATH BATTLE!!

DEATH BATTLE!

[Bellwood Park]

The scene opens up at Bellwood national park, revealing Ben Tennyson sitting on a park bench drinking a Mister Smoothie while boredly staring off into space. That is, until something hits the ground behind him with a thud, and he turns around to see Son Gohan, still in his grey collared shirt and blue vest as he starts walking over and hurriedly adjusting his glasses.

Gohan: Sorry I’m late! My conference ran extra long, and I had to pick up Pan from daycare-

Ben: Don’t sweat it dude, it’s fine.

Quickly finishing off his smoothie with a loud slurp, Ben tossed the now empty cup away into a nearby trashcan before he stood up, giving Gohan a friendly smile.

Ben: So, you ready?

Gohan: Of course!

At that moment, Gohan raised his arm to reveal a special watch that he activated, transforming into the Great Saiyaman in a flash of light. He lept backwards, landing on a large rock and kneeling down to cross his arms, then getting up on one leg with his arms out in the air and repeatedly tapping his feet along the point of the rock.

Gohan: I am an ally of justice! The one and only, Great Saiayman! Now then, give me everything you got! Hopefully by sparring with as many of your Aliens as possible, I can keep my skills sharp!

Ben: Alright then. IT’S HERO TIME!

And with that, Ben tapped the Omnitrix and allowed the dial to pop up, before he slammed back down upon it and began transforming. The Alien DNA injected into his body, and his bones and muscles within began to expand before his human form was completely overtaken by green; vine like planets, replacing Ben’s human form with a largely green alien whose body looked like a living plant vine, seeds sticking out of his arms, his head looking like a budding flower, and his feet looking like big tree-roots.

Swampfire: SWAMPFIRE!

Getting straight down to it, Ben’s hands ignited aflame before he shot two fireballs out at Gohan, who leapt backwards to avoid being burned before he fired a few small, weak ki beams from his index finger. Ben, of course, ducked to avoid the first two ki shots, but the next three easily blew through his body, leaving big holes inside them. Gohan nearly freaked out for a moment, before Swampfire easily regenerated the damage like it was nothing, allowing him to take a sigh of relief before he flew forwards to engage Ben in melee combat.

Gohan opened with a flying kick, one that Swampfire managed to block without being pushed back thanks to how sturdy and heavy his large, stump-life feet were. He pushed Gohan back and swung his own arms, throwing to quick jabs that Gohan avoided before he landed a solid hit with all of his strength that sent Ben flying backwards into a tree. Suddenly, a bunch of green seeds came flying out of the air and landed all around Gohan before they sank into the ground, and then began sprouting upwards into large vines, ensnaring the Hybrid-Saiyan in the large green vines to restrict his movements. Just then, Swampfire leaped into the air and wound his arms up backwards before thrusting them forwards, shooting a massive fireball outwards at Gohan.

To avoid being fired right then and there, Gohan powered up with an explosion of Ki, causing his cape to begin flapping from his own pressure as he formed his Tenma Defense shield, both deflecting the big ball of fire and slicing apart the vines that were restricting his movements. Then, in a moment of high-speed movement, Gohan suddenly appeared behind Ben and knocked him straight into the ground, causing a big cloud of smoke to get kicked up, before a bright green flash of light shined through.

Humongosaur: Humungousaur!

A giant brown fist suddenly flew upwards and punched Gohan straight into the park trees, and Humungousaur began running after him. Gohan, of course, landed on his feet, and raised his hands to point at the charging dinosaur alien with a smirk.

Gohan: Great Saiyaman Beam!

He fired out the Great Saiyaman Beam from his finger, the ki blast hitting Ben with enough force to slow him down. But slowing him down was barely all it could do, as Humungosaur powered through the attack and wound his fist up, throwing another punch that Gohan had to dodge, lest he be sent flying again. Using his smaller size to his advantage, Gohan weaved between Humungosaur’s punches before landing two strong hits on his own, causing Ben to grunt out in pain before he kicked the alien hero backwards. Gohan then wound up his own powerful punch, but Humungosaur was able to do the same and the two threw their punches together, causing a big clash that sent a shockwave as a result.

The two both of them grunted in heavy exertion as they pushed back and forth against each other before the ultimate victor of their test of strength very apparently turned out to be Humungosaur, as he was able to overpower Gohan before performing a second punch that sent the Great Saiyaman flying backwards. Of course, Gohan managed to stop his momentum in the air and began to power up, though he didn’t immediately try to overwhelm Ben with sheer strength afterwards. Instead, Gohan flew forwards and feinted Humungosaur out by dodging a punch, repeatedly appearing around the Vaxasaurian to overwhelm before using the Explosive Madan to finally strike when he wasn’t looking.

As Humungosaur went skidding and crashing through the ground, left to groan slightly while picking himself back up, he suddenly raised his hand and hit the Omnitrix, and in a flash of light the gigantic dinosaur was replaced with a smaller, almost velociraptor like alien, black green and blue, with wheels attached to its feet.

XLR8: XLR8!!!

A gust of wind suddenly blew past Gohan while hitting him with enough force to stagger him back in the process, and when he tried to swing around and hit XLR8, he only found himself punching air before getting hit repeatedly from all sides. Suddenly powering up, Gohan released a Super Explosive wave out if body, sending energy out in a circular area-of-effect attack that XLR8 easily dashed away from to avoid. Once the attack died down and Gohan began getting ready to pursue Ben, XLR8 suddenly blasted forwards and hit Gohan with a ton of built-up momentum that sent him flying across the park and into the park forest.

Of course, XLR8 began pursuing Gohan at further incredible speeds, so much so that Gohan could swear Ben was using the Afterimage Technique. So, Gohan wound up, and fired out a full power energy wave right where he thought Ben was going to be…

XLR8: Come on man, you’re better than that!

And missed completely. Gohan grunted as he took more hits from each side, bombarded with high-speed attacks as XLR8 continued to just wail on him. Grunting in pain again, Gohan tried his best to anticipate where Ben would come from and threw his hand around, and just barely managed to land a hit on XLR8 that stunned him. Quickly pressing his advantage, Gohan spun around and punted Ben straight into the air, sending him flying and screaming before he charged up his ki and took off flying after him, punching him a few times before kicking him further up into the air and then flying upwards again to knee XLR8 in the gut.

Gohan prepared to attack again, but a green flash of light caught him off guard, and almost would’ve blinded him for a moment if not for his helmet.

Astrodactyl: Astrodactyl!

The flying alien Pterodactyl then drew his head backwards and opened his massive peak, firing a big beam of energy out of it straight into Gohan’s face, destroying the Great Saiyaman helmet while sending the half-Saiyan flying backwards. He fired a few blasts of ki while steading his descent and recentering himself, but Astrodactyl was able to use his energy whips to deflect the basic ki blasts before taking off and flying around in circles to avoid a direct attack from Gohan. With a green shockwave, Astrodctyl rammed straight into the Hybrid-Saiyan, and Gohan grunted before powering up to keep Ben at bay. The two struggled against each other for a moment before Astrodactyl took off again, using the blast of his jetpack propulsion to stun Gohan before he did a 180 and flew back down and slammed his head straight into Gohan’s gut, causing him to spit out blood as Ben slammed him straight into the pavement of the city streets below them.

Gohan managed to kick Ben off of him, but that was followed by Ben transforming again and becoming Shocksquatch. Electrically charging his hands, he hit Gohan a few times before suddenly getting kicked in the face while Gohan flipped back onto his feet, throwing his cape off just as Ben began to grab it to try and pull Gohan back in. Gohan fired out a ki blast from his hand, and in response Shocksquatch fired a beam of electricity that let out a monkey screech while clashing against Gohan’s attack.

Shocksquatch: Come on Gohan, you can’t be getting soft on me already, eh?

The electrically charged sasquatch alien leaped through the air and threw out two more beams of lighting at Gohan, but he was able to reflect them thanks to his insulated Saiyan-gloves and land a solid, powerful punch straight to Ben’s gut and then Meteor Smash him straight into ground.

Gohan: Don’t worry, I’m just warming up!

Shocksquatch and Gohan got into an arm-lock right there on the street, bolts of lighting firing out of Shocksquatch’s body while Gohan’s Ki aura began skyrocketing and flying outwards, the two of them pushing each other at full throttle. Despite his smaller stature compared to the Gimlinopithecus, it began becoming clear that Gohan was completely overpowering him when it came to physical strength. Even when Shocksquatch began electrocuting Gohan again, trying to channel his electricity through Gohan’s body, Gohan still managed to overwhelm him, pushing Ben back and landing a quick two hit combo on his chest before finally kicking him back with full force.

Shocksquatch: Ugh! Okay then, how about-

Ben then slammed down on the Omnitrix again, transforming into a familiar blazing pyrokinetic alien.

Heatblast: HEATBLAST!

And without wasting a moment, he threw his hand forwards and unleashed a flame out upon Gohan that the Hybrid-Saiyan had little choice but to block while leaping back to avoid being severely burnt.

Gohan: Wha- hey! Be careful! This is supposed to be a spar!

Heatblast: Heh, you know what they say; Mess with Ben, you get the 10!

And just like that, Heatblast turned into a comet as he began flying off into the sky once again, with Gohan taking off after him.

Gohan: Nobody says that but you!

Heatblast responded in kind by throwing out two razor sharp disks of blazing fire that Gohan waved to avoid before he fired two basic beams of ki energy out that Ben blocked with a flamethrower before he charged forwards, crashing into Gohan and landing two quick hits before Gohan used his Tenma Defense again to push the Pyronite away from him.

Gohan: That’s it! Kamehame-

Heatblast: Ha, two can play at that game!

As Gohan began to charge up the signature move of the Turtle school, the ace move of his father, Heatblast began mimicking the same pose as he charged up a blaze of fire between his hands.

Gohan: HAAA!

And then, Gohan fired the Kamehameha out while Heatblast unleashed the fire beam, clashing the two attacks in the sky with sparks of fire and plasma. Gohan began pushing harder, putting more power into his Kamehameha while Heatblast pushed his fire more, making it hotter so the fire plasma could actually match the beam of ki. The sight in the sky was a spectacle to behold, except for one certain individual who happened to be watching the battle in the sky.

Rook: …this was a bad idea.

Ultimately, Gohan won out when it came to the clash, and his Kamehameha overwhelmed Heatblast’s fire beam. Not to be outdone however, Heatblast quickly enveloped himself in a fire vortex and took off forwards, flying through the Kamehameha as the tornado of fire pushed the ki blast away. This ultimately allowed Ben to get in close to Gohan, where he then let the vortex of flames expand out and explode to push Gohan back before he created two fire daggers, one over each hand before he unleashed a few heavy slashes which Gohan barely managed to avoid before he surrounded his right arm with his Ki aura, using that as a shield to block the next slash of Heatblast’s fire dagger. Unfortunately, Gohan realized too late that he was only blocking Heatblast’s right arm, and Ben was able to infuse his left arm with a swelling surge of fire to punch Gohan hard enough that Gohan nearly lost his focus on flying and completely dropped to the ground, but he was able to recuperate himself.

Heatblast: Hey Gohan, have you ever seen a Supernova!?

Gohan: No? Why are you ask-

Before Gohan could even finish though, Heatblast suddenly exploded in flames, firing a massive bomb of fire out of his hands that Gohan could barely block in time before he was fatally burned. The gigantic surge of flames began pushing Gohan backwards, causing him to be enveloped in the fiery supernova, before it finally exploded in a massive blast of fiery bright orange…

Before all the fire was suddenly put out by a powerful force, a shockwave that was strong enough to kill out the flames. Just after that, a pillar of golden light shot into the air, and a second shockwave hit Ben that actually managed to make the fire on his head actually shift backwards for a moment. Then, he leaned forwards, and out of the smoke and the fire he could see Gohan standing there, illuminated by the Golden Light of the Super Saiyan.

Gohan: Okay then, let’s get serious.

In a flash of golden light, Gohan suddenly appeared in front of Heatblast and kneed him in the gut, giving Gohan a chance to start pummeling the Pyronite through the air before drawing his leg back and kicking Ben through several buildings until he crashed upon one of the highways. Flying after him, Gohan could see a bright green flash of light in the distance, and as he got closer he saw a few rocks flying through the air that he barrel rolled to dodge before there was a red blur that leaped through the air, getting right in his face.

Four Arms: FOUR ARMS!

Drawing his two right arms backwards, Four Arms punched Gohan downwards into the highway, and Gohan braced himself to not go flying through it once he impacted the highway pavement. Ben landed seconds later, and Gohan dodged a few times from the quadruple fists coming his way as he raised his arms to block a few punches before he went for one of his own, only for his hand to be caught by Four Arm’s lower left arm, leaving him open to being punched by his two upper arms and sent flying down the highway. Getting back up quickly, Gohan raised his two hands above his head, focusing a big golden beam of light into his hands that he fired outwards at Four Arms.

Gohan: MASEKO!!!!

Winging his four arms up, Four Arms then forcefully clapped them all together and produced the Big Smack, a massive shockwave that rang out for miles, the force of which was so great the shockwave managed to disrupt and deflect the Masenko, much to Gohan’s surprise.

Gohan: What the!?

Four Arms: Surprised!? Tetramand’s are some of the strongest Aliens in the universe! You’re gonna have to do a bit better than that!

Leaping forwards with a massive leap, Four Arms managed to get into Gohan’s face surprisingly quickly as he threw a series of rapid jabs from all four of his arms that began to overwhelm the Super Saiyan. That was, until he wound up one big punch and thrust his arms forwards, only for his fist to be caught by Gohan, halting its momentum so quickly that a shockwave blasted out behind Gohan even as he stood motionless before Ben.

Gohan: Let's kick it up a notch!

The force of a shockwave suddenly blasted Four Arms backwards as Gohan transformed into a Super Saiyan 2 and rocketed through the air, barraging Four Arms with a series of strikes that he couldn’t keep up with while also being sure to lock him in mid-air where his movement would be restricted. With the blistering speed and power of Super Saiyan 2, Gohan started pushing his advantage again as he charged up his Ki and began to take after Vegeta and unleash a full barrage of rapid attacks with the Gekiretsu Madan.

The Ki Blast Spam began to push Four Arms higher and higher, bright explosion of energy bathing the blue sky in a yellow hue until a green flash of light suddenly overtook them all, and every further blast Gohan fired out, instead of exploding as they should, were absorbed into a new target.

Chromastone: Chromastone!

Absorbing Gohan’s ki attacks for his own, Chromastone then raised his arms overhead and fired out a beam of Ultraviolet energy that pushed Gohan backwards, giving Ben a charge to fly downwards and throw a punch that Gohan clashed against his own fist, creating a shockwave that rung out around the two. Almost instantly afterwards the two disappeared into auras of Ultraviolet colors and Golden Ki as the two began clashing at lightspeed, dancing in the sky with contrails that lit up the heavens for all to see.

Breaking off some distance from Gohan, Chromastone began to fire more Ultraviolet rays out that Gohan dodged, baiting Gohan into firing more ki blasts in retaliation that he was able to absorb and power up with, allowing for Ben to charge forwards and ram into Gohan at full speed. The two of them locked hands as they tussled against each other, their contrasting auras burning brightly like flames in the sky as they pushed against one another. Yet through this encounter, Chromastone was able to siphon off more of Gohan’s Ki, adding its power to his own strength,

Chromastone: Is that all you got Gohan!?

Without giving Gohan a chance to retaliate, Chromastone drew his hands back and fired a massive Ultraviolet beam of energy that began completely ripping apart Gohan’s Great Saiyaman outfit as it knocked him higher and higher into the air. In order to overpower the Ultraviolet Beam, Gohan let out a titanic roar as he powered up and transformed into his Ultimate Form, his Golden Hair returning back to his normal black as a shining silver aura repelled the Ultraviolet ray.

Gohan: Don’t worry, I’m just getting started!

Throwing his tattered costume away to reveal his normal Gi underneath, Ultimate Gohan suddenly appeared behind Chromastone and kneed him in the back before spinning him around, stunning Ben and allowing Gohan to unleash a Burst Rush upon him. Gohan elbowed Ben in the chin, punched him in the stomach, and then hook kicked him before kicking Ben further up into the air. Then, he flies up above Ben and attacks his opponent with a punch to the face, another punch to the gut, and a roundhouse kick to the jaw, knocking them even higher. Finally, he flew up and appeared above Chromastone to backhand punch them downwards with an incredible amount of force, causing Ben to crash into the ground and be left groaning as his crystallized form began to crack from the sheer force of Gohan’s assault.

Gohan: You’re through!

Gohan then unleashed a massive Ultimate Kamehameha that came tearing through the city streets, and Ben quickly hit the Omnitrix symbol on his chest, transforming into Jetray and taking off into the skies. Avoiding the Kamehameha thanks to his incredible speed, Jetray fired a Nuroshock Beam from his tail that managed to stun Gohan for a moment, but did little more than annoy the Hybrid Saiyan as he began chasing after Jetray through the sky once again.

Beams of green and yellow were fired across the skyline as Jetray and Gohan took pot-shots at each other, each missing each other due to the other’s blistering speeds more than anything else. But when Ben saw Gohan charging up a single, powerful blast of energy, he knew he needed to block it with all or nothing, he couldn’t waste this chance.

Gohan: MASENKOOOOOO!!!!!

Just as Ben managed to fire the strongest Nuroshock that he could, Gohan unleashed a Hyper Maseko that began clashing with the tail-beam for a second, before completely overpowering it and slamming into Ben. The Alien Superhero was sent flying by the recoil of the beam, launched dozens of miles away from the city with an echoing scream that ultimately ended when he crash-landed in the middle of the desert that was right outside of Bellwood, and he changed back to his human form.

Just as Ben was getting back up, though, he saw Gohan flying after him, obviously having followed him via sensing his Life Energy. Looking down at the Omnitrix, Ben tapped the faceplate again, which slid open as the core popped up so he could transform again.

Ben: I’m thinking it’s time for a little Feedback action!

He slammed down upon the watch, and transformed into not into his Conductoid transformation like he had intended, but instead one of his other heaviest hitters; the large and bulky nuclear alien; Atomix.

Atomix: Atomix!? …yeah, okay, I can work with this.

Launching himself into the air like a rocket, Atomix managed to get into Gohan’s face in seconds and perform an overhead Double Axe Handle, sending Gohan crashing down into the desert below. Appearing before him at super speed, Gohan threw a kick while getting back up that Atomix managed to catch before he punched Gohan back with his other hand, then leaped forwards and threw out a kick that then detonated a blast of Nuclear Energy for further damage.

Atomix: Playtime’s over. Now you’re dancing with the big boy’s.

Gohan: Bring it on then. I plan to go higher and higher, so give me all you got!

Both Ben and Gohan powered up with respective Green and Silver auras before they charged at each other, throwing two punches that shot the Earth blow them before taking off into light speed combat. Atomix fired two beams out of his hands, generating Nuclear energy blasts that Gohan deflected before he fired out an Explosive Madan to keep some distance between the two of them. Of course, Atomix wasn’t taken down so easily, and he swirled his hands around to perform an energy ripple before firing out another energy beam that Gohan counter with a full power energy wave of his own, locking the two into a beat struggle that concluded with the beat’s in the middle exploding, creating a massive dust cloud obscuring both fighter’s vision of the other.

Atomix: HAA-MEE-NA HAA-MEE-NA HAA-MEE-NA HAA-MEE-NA HAA-MEE-NA-!

Gohan winced as he raised his arm to protect his eyes from the dust, but as he lowered it he gasped to see Atomix standing there holding a miniature Supernova of Nuclear energy over his head.

Atomix: Fusion Cuisine!

Throwing the Supernova forward Gohan responded to the massive attack by letting out a massive scream, one that threatened to obliterate his lungs as his Ultimate Form’s aura exploded in a powerful fury and he gathered his hands together. A blue swirl of Ki began glowing in his hands while the Fusion Cuisine got closer, pushing the wind backwards against him.

Gohan: KA-ME-HA-ME…HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With a powerful roar that echoed out well further than it should have, Gohan thrusted his hands forwards and fired out the massive Kamehameha, which impacted and began to expand against the Fusion Cuisine, the two attacks locking in a stalemate as the force the blast actually pushed Gohan backwards until he was back on the ground, literally digging his feet into the rock and dirt below him to make sure he didn’t fall any further back. All the while, Atomix stood above him, pushing his Supernova down until he started beating out the Kamehameha.

Gohan: Let… let me show you… WHAT MY DAD AND I HAVE ACCOMPLISHED TOGETHER!!!!!

Suddenly dropping one arm and focusing his power entirely into his right hand, Gohan thrusted it forwards and unleashed a second wave of energy, and for a moment it seemed like the form of Super Saiyan Blue Goku appeared behind him to push with his son. Together, the Ultimate Kamehameha overpowered Atomix’s Supernova, blasting through it and causing the attack to dissipate. Atomix himself only had a moment to react before raising his arms to shield himself, but by then it was too late. He was overwhelmed by the Kamehameha, being blasted straight off into the distance.

As his attack died down, Gohan fell down onto one knee, gasping for breath as he looked back upwards to sense for Ben’s Ki. Only after he locked onto it a few miles away did Gohan curse himself for accidentally sending Ben hurdling into the distance twice in the span of 5 minutes. He powered up and quickly took off flying to catch up with him, since he had a feeling this wasn’t over yet.

It only took Gohan a few seconds to catch up to where he had sent Ben, which this time turned out to be a common mountain range. He closed his eyes to focus on where exactly Ben had gone, but very quickly that turned out to be unnecessary.

???: WAY BIG!!!!!!

Gohan quickly turned around just in time to see the massive To'kustar transformation of Ben’s springing to life and coming straight for him.

Gohan: …aw crap baskets.

Gohan quickly ducked out of the way of Way Big’s first punch, which shattered the mountain behind him before he started spamming Ki Blasts to try and slow the To’kustar down. Sadly, that was something that proved fruitless as he was swatted like a fly into the side of another mountain. If that were not enough insult to injury, Ben then drew his hand back and punched Gohan through said mountain, sending him flying past it and into a plateau.

Way Big: Is that all you got!?

Pushing himself back onto his feet, Gohan clutched one hand into a fist as he saw Way Big winding up another punch.

Gohan: I’m just getting started!

As Way Big threw his gigantic fist forwards, Gohan threw a punch of his own to clash against it, pushing against the 100 foot tall alien that threatened to quite literally squash him like a bug. Despite his strength however, even pushing himself to his uppermost limits wasn’t enough. Way Big overpowered and punched him into the plateau, crushing him into the ground. When Ben finally drew his hand back, Gohan was left laying there on his back, bleeding from his forehead, but still breathing.

Way Big: You’re finished. You can’t compete with Way Big power!

Just as Ben finished speaking however, a rippled in the air caused him to stagger backwards. He looked down to see Gohan standing back up, body dropped forwards, before he clutched his hands. Suddenly, Gohan’s eyes turned red, and he stood up fully as he let out a scream of pure, visceral rage.

A shockwave of energy hit Way Big with enough force to knock him off his feet and into the side of a mountain as a flickering silver and purple aura engulfed the plateau where Gohan had been standing. As the aura broke away like a cocoon giving birth to a butterfly, the sharp Ki, flickering like a fire, revealed Gohan standing there, with long silver hair. Not giving Gohan the chance to use this new power, Way Big threw his hand forwards and tried to punch him. But while his fist hit Gohan’s body, the force of his punch’s momentum suddenly being stopped had caused a shockwave to boom out for miles behind him.

Gohan stood there, aura still burning like fire as he raised one hand, and casually removed Way Big’s fist from his body, holding it back, a sight that caused Ben to gasp in surprise as he looked over from his fist to Gohan.

Gohan (Beast): Is that all you've got? Okay, then. Guess it's my turn.

Suddenly unleashing a Demon Flash Strike, Gohan disappeared from view and reappeared in front of Way Big’s, foot extended outwards as he unleashed a Purple Lightning Beast Kick straight into the gut of the To’kustar, causing him to cry out in pain as Gohan cried out a “HAAAGH!" of power as he pushed his Beast Kick further, launching Way Big through several mountains before finally launching the giant alien flying into the ground. Only then did Gohan land atop one of the mountains, which had a newly shaved off flat top for him to stand up.

A green flash of light suddenly shined out from the distance, and a ripple in reality began to form. The very world around Gohan shook as if it were about to peel away, and yet Gohan only smirked at the challenge before him. He knew what he was about to fight, and while he didn’t seek out the thrill of a fight like his father, Gohan would be lying if he said this didn’t excite him just a little bit.

What stood before Beast Gohan was not a To’Kustar or an alien made of cosmic radiation, a Crystalline God or a Tetramand, a Ghost, or anything else. This was among the strongest beings in all creation, something so powerful that just existing in the same space as Gohan’s Beast form caused the world around them to fade away into a dimension of strange swirling lights.

This was Alien X. Finally, after all this time. The warm-up was over.

Gohan (Beast): This is it.

Alien X: This… is the end.

Gohan charged forwards, flying towards the Celestialsapien and drawing his hand back. Alien X responded in the same manner, and the two clashed punches so powerful the extra-dimensional space around them shook. If one punch from them both was already enough to nearly destroy this plane of reality, what was going to happen when they got serious?

It was time to see.

Flying behind Alien X, Gohan performed a karate chop that knocked him backwards before he began chasing after the cosmic god, although Alien X vanished from view when it seemed like Gohan had caught up with him. Suddenly appearing behind Gohan, Alien X threw a single punch which seemed like just that, a simple punch, but resulted in explosive knockback upon connecting with its target. Gohan wasn’t deterred, for he was going to unleash all of the power of the beast within. He let out a yell, powered up further, and flew straight back into the battle to shoulder-slam into Alien X.

As he pushed the Celestialsapien through the cosmic space they found themselves in, Alien X used telekinesis to push Gohan off of him before raising his hands, swelling together the cosmic forces around them into an offensive attack that he fired at Gohan. Rather than defend against it however, Gohan just used the brute-force of his Beast form to tank the attack and fly through it straight for Alien X. Responding to Gohan’s offensive assault, the two of them disappeared into specks of light in a wider dimension that began clashing at speeds beyond mortal comprehension, creating universe spanning shockwave after universe spanning shockwave, not unlike Ben’s prior battle with the Galactic Gladiator or Goku’s fight with Beerus.

Gohan suddenly got above Alien X and fired out a single beam of Ki, a Sky Spiericing Demon Flash, but Alien X simply raised one hand to deflect the beam out of existence before using telekinesis to grab the shards of cosmic glass in the area, and turn them into projectiles against Gohan. Predictably, these did little to deter the Hybrid Saiyan, as he crushed, crashed, and smashed his way through these before catching the last one and began spinning it around, ultimately throwing it straight back towards Alien X, who simply thought the shard out of existence before blinking through reality to appear in Gohan’s face and finger-flick him into another plane of cosmic debris.

Of course, such a simple attack could not defeat Gohan as he was now, and he knew it. So, Alien X blinked behind Gohan just as he was getting back up and unleashed a powerful melee combo. Simple punches and kicks that hit with the force of universes colliding onto Gohan’s body. Yet the powers of the Beast form were able to withstand it, until he caught Alien X’s hand and let out an explosive wave of ki, briefly overpowering the Celestialsapien with a powerful uppercut to the chin before kicking him backwards and firing out the strongest Masenko he could muster, the Ultimate Masenko. Alien X was hit by the beam of Ki…

And responded to it by splitting into a million copies of himself, surrounding Gohan with sheer numbers. Gohan gasped in surprise, but when he prepared to unleash a Super Explosive Wave, what happened next was something he didn’t expect. The swamping force of Alien X’s began circling around Gohan, flying into a cosmic storm of their own creation until they created a black hole super-vortex. Gohan swiped one hand around to swat at the Alien X’s, but he was unable to destabilize the vortex from within it. Instead, applying what he knew about how Ki could interact with cosmic storms, Gohan flew upwards above the vortex, even as a telekinetic pull began trying to pull him back into it.

But Gohan didn’t let himself get sucked in. He drew his hands back, and fired out one last Kamehameha into the vortex, overloading it, destabilizing it, and causing it to explode before himself.

That was when the dimension of strange swirling lights began to collapse. As Alien X was knocked away and floated across from Gohan, they could both see the cracks in reality beginning to form. Dozens of gateways began to open to other worlds, where others were fighting. Some were only having friendly spars, as they were, while others were at odds due to morality. And some were simply fighting for survival.

But they were all fighting. Just like them.

And so, Alien X and Beast Gohan charged at each other, and continued to fight as well, as the voices of heroes and villains hang in their heads alongside every clash that pierced the fabric of dimensional space, loosening the veil of the cosmos, and letting countless, infinite possibilities be seen for a split moment in time.

“I’ve had enough! Who do you think you are anyways!?”

“I AM GOD!”

“I will not let you destroy my country. This battle ends now.”

“On that…we agree.”

“You might be skilled in this world, but against a Master Magician such as myself, you’re like an eternal novice.”

“You’re annoying me. I'll shut you out.”

“GIGA FREEZE!”

“LAUS SAINT CLAUDIUS!”

A series of rapid clashes between the two unveiled more voices. Every punch and kick opened more gateways, allowed for more voices to be heard.

“Jupiter Crystal Power, Make Up!”

“You shouldn’t underestimate me. A Phantom Thief always has a trick up their sleeves.”

“WE NEED DINOZORD POWER NOW!”

“It’s time for some Dragonzord power!”

“You have been warned; I do not make alliances. I rule, and all bow before me.”

“Hmm, suit yourself. I have other ways of getting what I need from you.”

“Tristesse de la Vierge!!!!”

“I’LL KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM!!!!!!”

And then, through the fabric, two distinct voices made themselves known. The two voices from the very first rift. The source of it all.

Two unmistakable voices of those who served as lights in the darkness, just as Ben Tennsyon and Son Gohan did as well.

“Chrom! I think it’s time we bring this duel to an end!”

“I couldn’t agree more, Artoria!”

They were right. It was time to bring this battle to an end.

Gohan kicked Alien X backwards and brought two fingers up to his head. Surrounded by all those who fought as well, Gohan would take their cries and cheers as support for himself. His attack was charged to the limit, and so he raised his right hand to the sky before pointing it forwards.

Gohan (Beast): SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!!!!!!!!!

Alien X held a hand out to block the Special Beam Cannon, but to the deity’s surprise, the attack was much more than he had predicted. And in that moment of hesitation, the attack pierced through not just Alien X’s defenses, but its body as well, causing him to begin bleeding cosmic fluids as his body cracked.

Beast Gohan had just landed a lethal blow on a Celestialsapien.

However, still conscious after the mortal wound, Alien X raised his hand as reality around him began to pause, before everything began rewinding by just a handful of seconds. In an instant, Gohan’s attack had been rewound to just before he fired it.

And he fired it again, unaware of the action that had just been performed.

Gohan (Beast): SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!!!!!!!!!

Only this time, Alien X did not attempt to block the Special Beam Cannon, and a green flash of light surrounded him as another Alien took the attack on instead.

Feedback: FEEDBACK!

Holding his hands, antenna, and tail forwards, Feedback absorbed the Special Beam cannon into them all, taking the power of the God Killing attack for himself, much to Gohan’s shock. With the white-purple flickering aura of Gohan’s ki surrounding him, Feedback looked down at Gohan and smirked as he raised his hands upwards, and then thrusted them forwards.

Feedback: What was that you said? Oh yeah, SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!!!!!!!!!

And so, Feedback fired multiple Special Beam Cannon’s back at Gohan, one coming out of every plug on his body. Gohan tried to deflect the incoming attacks, and he managed to block the first two, but the third one slipped past his guard and punctured his lungs, and just like that, it was all over. The other dozen Special Beam Cannons all pierced his body from different angles, causing Gohan to spit out blood before finally falling backwards, reverting to base form as his body fell off into the abyss of the extra-dimensional space.

The battle was over, and he had lost.

Feedback: Awe yeah! Who’s the best!? I am! That’s right, I-

But Ben’s victory celebration was halted when he remembered that he was, in fact, in a crack of reality that had been broken and destabilized by the fight.

Feedback: Oh yeah, should probably fix that.

Taking one last look at all the other battles going on in the multiverse, Feedback smiled before he transformed back into Alien X, and with a wave of his hands, the dimension of strange swirling lights was repaired. The other worlds were sealed off once again, and in a flash of light, Alien X was back in Bellwood, and Gohan was lying before him, unconscious, but very much still alive.

The Omnitrix finally began to let out its signature beep before it powered down, and Ben transformed back into his human form. The Hero of Heroes walked over and gave Gohan a little nudge, to which the Son of Goku awoke and stood back upwards.

Gohan: That was some fight… Thank you. I see now just how far I still have to go.

Ben: No problem man.

And with that, Ben grabbed a Mister Smoothies off the ground that had appeared when Alien X restored the universe, and the two fighters shared a laugh together.

Perhaps, one day, they would do this again.

Boomstick: Aww, what!? Friendship!? Again!?

Wiz: This was an impossibly close match. Both Ben and Gohan had incredible feats, but only one had the means to go beyond and be the hero to come out on top.

Boomstick: You think it’s insane that Ben could win, and you’d be right. Most of Ben’s Aliens could barely scratch Gohan, but at the same time, that incredible versatility could keep the Hybrid Saiyan on his toes. I mean, Ben can become slimy, creepy, fast, strong, every shape and size! His flexibility was off the charts, and if Gohan didn’t take him seriously, Ben could totally overwhelm him.

Wiz: But once Super Saiyan came out, most of Ben’s aliens simply couldn’t keep up. That said, while most of them were outmatched, plenty of them could still keep up. For example, Feedback and Chromastone could nullify Gohan’s Ki attacks and turn them against each other while also keeping up with his flight, Gravattack could make it nigh-impossible for Gohan to even throw a punch, and ironically, aliens like Atomix and Way Big would crush Gohan instantly as well if he didn’t take them seriously.

Boomstick: Which meant it came down to the big two; Alien X and Beast Gohan.

Wiz: Beast Gohan’s power is equal to Ultra Instinct Goku, making him possibly hundreds of millions of times stronger and faster than Super Saiyan God Goku’s Universe Shockwaves. Comparing the 240 quadrillion times lightspeed Universe Shockwaves to Alien X’s 7 quadrillion times lightspeed flight against the Galactic Gladiator, this actually made Beast Gohan fairly faster than Alien X. But as we all know, speed isn’t everything, and Gohan didn’t have the means to make that speed matter.

Boomstick: And it’s all thanks to Clockwork undoing the Chronosapien Time Bomb, which wiped out the entire Ben 10 Multiverse. Every timeline, every universe, all of them, one in an instant. The bomb erased infinity. And Clockwork would just “Lol nope” it, sucking the bomb back in and undoing all of its effects like they were nothing! If Clockwork could do that, there’s no way Alien X, Ben’s canonical strongest alien, couldn’t. And I don’t care how big Universe 7 is, it’s not infinite, and Gohan’s not keeping up with power like that.

Wiz: It also means Gohan couldn’t brute force his way through Alien X’s reality warping similar to how Vegeta overpowered Babidi's mind control, or how Goku broke through Hit's Time-Skip with Kaio-ken. Since even Beast Gohan’s power level was inferior to Alien X’s, he couldn’t overwrite Alien X’s authority over the cosmos.

Boomstick: Plus, don’t forget, Ben’s a super experienced superhero in his own right with plenty of practice, training, and experience. He’s seen just as much wild shit as Gohan has for sure, and could definitely keep up with him in a straight brawl.

Wiz: That only leaves one particular point left to answer.

Boomstick: I can hear it now; “But couldn’t Gohan just blitz Ben before he turned into Alien X?”

Wiz: And that's a fair point. If Gohan was faster than the Omnitrix’s failsafes could activate, he could realistically take Ben out before the Omnitrix’s self-defense pulse or anti-death failsafes could kick in. However, not only is this wildly out of character, it’s completely impossible. Remember when Ben fell into the Big Bang?

Boomstick: Yeah it’s the final episode of the series.

Wiz: Well, in order for the Omnitrix to have turned Ben into Feedback before the Big Bang erased him, it would have needed to react and transform him at speeds of fifty-five duodecillion times the speed of light.

Boomstick: That’s 39 zeros bitches! Way faster than Gohan even at his best!

Wiz: It’s somewhat questionable if Ben himself should have this reaction speed, since he seemed pretty sure he was going to die there if the Omnitrix didn’t save him, but regardless, this means Gohan blitzing Ben was out of the question. The Omnitrix would just turn him into Alien X, or whatever other Alien is deemed most suited to winning. Ultimately, while Gohan was a powerful fighter and a true marvel to behold, he just didn’t have the means to keep up with the Hero of Heroes.

Boomstick: Gohan was a real Beast, but Ben just had the Omnitricks needed to make him go Alien X-tinct.
