Introduction[]
Mortician: Beerus, Dragon Ball’s Purple Cat God of Destruction
Redshock: Asriel Dreemurr, Undertale’s God of Hyper Death
Mortician: The term god can refer to a number of things. Status, divinity, or even power. And not every god is holy and pure. Some possess the power to destroy everything.
Redshock: So which of these powerful gods would win? Let’s find out in this Death Battle!
Beerus[]
Mortician: In the aspect of the universe, there exists the Kais. The Kais exist to create and maintain life in the universe. However where there is Kais, there are also the Gods of Destruction. These gods, otherwise known as Destroyers, have the job of destroying old planets and civilizations to make way for the new ones.
Redshock: In each universe in the Dragon Ball Multiverse, there is the Supreme Kai who is in charge of life and the God of Destruction who is in charge of death and destruction. In Universe 7, the role of Destroyer was given to Lord Beerus.
Mortician: Beerus spent many centuries doing his job quite well but he was also very bored. Because of this, he spent most of his time eating and sleeping. One day, Beerus had a precognitive that a warrior with unbelievable strength would challenge him. A Super Saiyan God.
Redshock: Getting excited in getting a good fight, Beerus sought after this warrior. Despite encountering powerful Sayians such as Goku and Vegeta, neither one was even remotely challenging for Beerus. But after using the power of the Dragon Balls and transferring the power of five pure hearted Sayians into one, Goku became to Super Saiyan God Beerus was looking for and the two engaged in a tremendous battle that nearly destroyed the universe.
Mortician: In the end however, Goku was simply not strong enough to beat Beerus. Despite still not being a challenge, Beerus still allowed Goku and Vegeta to train with his servant and teacher Whis in hopes of becoming a worthy arch rival in the future.
Redshock: As a God of Destruction, Beerus possesses an unimaginable amount of power. Combined with his martial arts that he has studied for millions of years and he is one of the strongest beings in the universe. While Beerus isn’t the strongest God of Destruction out of all 12 of them, he is certainly one of the strongest as he can fight them all off at once in a battle royale when they decided to gang up on him.
Mortician: When it comes to power, Beerus clashed with Super Saiyan God Goku and caused shockwaves that shook the entire universe. These shockwaves would’ve destroyed the universe if Goku hadn’t equalized the force and if Beerus didn’t nullify the third shockwave and this is not even Beerus’ full power
Redshock: While we haven’t seen Beerus at full power, he can fight his twin brother Champa to the point where they can destroy both Universe 7 and 6. Since both universes are twins, they are very similar in size and dimensions. Universe 7 has about 4 dimensions in the universe. The Mortal Realm, Heaven, Hell, and the world of the Kais. Being able to destroy two of these Macroverse
Mortician: When the shockwaves that rippled across the universe took about a few seconds to reach all over the universe. Beerus was also able to nullify the third shockwave right as it was about to happen so he would’ve had to react faster than the shockwave. This would be around 245 septillion
Redshock: Like many Dragon Ball characters, Beerus manipulates Ki for attacks and other uses but his Ki is much different from other Ki users. He uses Destruction Energy, a powerful type of Ki that only Destroyers use. This energy can erase a target from existence. Even spiritually and temporally. Beerus can use this energy in many different ways.
Mortician: Like Beerus' Judgement where Beerus fires his God of Destruction Super Energy Sphere and then follows up with his Wrath of the God of Destruction. God of Destruction Super Energy Sphere: A technique that generates a huge energy sphere that resembles a star. Beerus uses this attack during his battle against Goku while fighting on the outskirts of Earth's atmosphere. Wrath of the God of Destruction: Beerus holds out the index finger of his left hand and then fires a yellow energy wave from his fingertip. He uses this attack during his battle against Goku, in order to increase the size of his God of Destruction Super Energy Sphere.
Redshock: And don’t forget his iconic Hakai, Due to his status as a God of Destruction, Beerus is capable of erasing nearly anything with little effort. By extending one of his hands in front of him and uttering "Hakai", or simply pointing, Beerus causes the object he focuses on to disintegrate, erasing them from existence entirely. This is even shown to work on spirits/souls, as it was used to kill Dr. Mashirito, who was a ghost.
Mortician: Beerus has studied martial arts for millions of years. He is actually well known for having great combat skills and precision strikes. Beerus uses Pressure Point Attacks to render his opponents unconscious. He used this to instantly defeat Super Saiyan 3 Goku, Piccolo, and an Enraged Vegeta who at that moment became more powerful that Goku. He cna also dodge his opponent's attack and reappears behind them, and then proceeds to chop the opponent on the back of their neck, inflicting damage and knocking them unconscious.
Redshock: Or he can be a total douche and flick his finger on an enemy’s forehead knocking them out instantly. Man this guy truely is a god, a big purple cat god!
Mortician: While he is an all powerful being he does carry weaknesses like everyone else, he very lazy and moody. He can sometimes drag a fight out for entertainment. And Beerus has not mastered Ultra Instinct and can only use it defensively.
Redshock: But after awhile Beerus eventually began to change. He slowly became more merciful to others and started to actually care about the well being of mortals whether he wants to admit it or not. Nonetheless, Beerus is still an extremely powerful god who won’t hesitate to destroy anyone who annoys him.
Beerus: “Now, all that is left is the destruction of the earth, but I think it would be a waste to destroy it. The food on this planet is very delicious”.
Asriel Dreemurr[]
Mortician: The war between the humans and monsters resulted in victory for the humans. Monsters then were sealed away in a mountain. Many years later, a young child named Chara fell into an opening to the underground. A monster named Asriel found Chara and brought them to his parents Asgore and his wife Toriel who were the king and queen of the monsters.
Redshock: Seeing how Chara could not return to the humans, Asgore and Toriel decided to adopt Chara and they all were a happy family. However Chara possessed a lot of hatred and decided to manipulate the naïve Asriel. Chara poisoned themselves so Asriel would take their soul. Powered up by the human soul, Asriel could easily destroy the human there.
Mortician: As planned, the humans there saw Asriel holding Chara’s body and were convinced that Asriel killed Chara and attacked Asriel relentlessly. Despite having the power to destroy all the humans and Chara trying to influence Asriel into fighting back, he refused and retreated back to the underground. However, being banged up severely by the onslaught of attacks, Asriel died right in front of his parents.
Redshock: Years later, a scientist named Alphys was experimenting with a supernatural energy known as Determination. Alphys tested on flowers to see reactions. What Alphys didn’t know was that one of these flowers was the same one that Asriel died on and had his dust on it. Asriel suddenly came to life as a flower named Flowey. However, Flowey had no soul and thus could not feel any emotions. Flowey tried going to his parents for help but they couldn’t do anything nor did they recognize Flowey as their son.
Mortician: While this was horrible, the upside is that having Determination gave Flowey control over the timelines. Flowey began using this power to try to make everyone happy in order to make himself happy. Despite numerous attempts, Flowey still could not feel it.
Redshock: With the inability to feel and being manipulated by Chara, Flowey became murderous and unstable. He decided to become more powerful and be a god by absorbing human souls. Flowey tried to take the human souls that Asgore had collected but he couldn’t get by him. Even with his ability to control the timeline, Flowey was stuck in an endless loop.
Mortician: One day, a young child named Frisk fell into the Underground. Because Frisk possessed a larger amount of Determination than Flowey, Flowey could no longer manipulate the timelines. Seeing how powerful Frisk was, Flowey bided his time until Frisk had not only distracted Asgore but also brought every monster in the Underground together. Flowey then took their souls as well as the human souls.
Redshock: Asriel Dreemurr was reborn and had an unimaginable amount of power. He had become a literal god and could once again feel emotions.
Mortician: At full power, Asriel can manipulate and erase the timelines in Undertale. The timelines usually contain a separate universe within them so destroying all of them at once would result in a Multiverse level of power. While it is unclear how fast Asriel is, as most monsters can move at least Hypersonic speeds, but Asriel is likely much faster than this.
Redshock: Asriel has a whole arsenal of powers and Abilities, he can throw Fireballs, Star shaped projectiles, lightning bolts, create actual Lightsabers called Chaos Sabers and even a blaster version called Chaos Blaster. Asriel's final and strongest attack is called Hypergoner before he begins fighting at full power. His power covers the entire battleground before a large creature resembling a Gaster Blaster is summoned. It then proceeds to laugh mockingly, and then creates a suction that attempts to draw the opponent to its center.
Mortician: The source of Asriel’s power and abilities is called Determination. The user is empowered by the feeling of determination, allowing it to strengthen their capabilities and use certain new powers. Which allows Asriel to control space and time allowing him to freeze, reverse and even reset the timeline however he wants.
Redshock: But as a Monster in the Undertale World he isn’t unbeatable, Asriel is weak to opponents with powerful souls that have murderous intentions. Despite Asriel’s god-like powers, he is still a child. So he is naïve, innocent, and a bit immature. And Asriel’s control over the timelines can be overtaken if his opponent with similar abilities is stronger than him.
Mortician: But despite being a god now, Frisk was able to get through to Asriel and calm him down. Now with a change of heart, Asriel destroyed the barrier and freed the monsters despite the fact that he would lose his ability to feel again.
Asriel: “Don’t kill, and don’t be killed, alright? That’s the best you can strive for”.
Death Battle![]
Prologue[]
Beerus was floating in the middle of the sky. He had a slice of pizza and was about to eat it when Asriel flew right back and made the pizza splatter all over his face. “Who dares…?!”. As Beerus wiped the pizza off his face, he saw Asriel flying towards space and followed him. As Asriel reached into orbit, he stopped and turned around. “Did I hear something?”. “More like you hit something”. Asriel turned around and saw Beerus floating behind him with an annoyed look on his face. “It’s not wise to ruin a god’s deliciously cheesy pizza”. “A god huh? The only god around here is me! The god of Hyperdeath!”. “So you claim to be a god?”. Beerus held out his hand and charged up his Cataclysmic Orb. “Mind if I put that claim to the test?”.
FIGHT![]
Beerus fired the energy blast at Asriel and it hit him directly. Asriel used his Star Blazer and stars began falling from the sky and exploded all over the place. Beerus was getting hit by the stars. “How annoying!”. Beerus began to charge up energy around him. Beerus used his God of Destruction’s Wrath and fired blasts all over the place and blasted away the stars. Asriel used his Shocker Breaker and blasted Beerus with lightning. Asriel then took out his Chaos Sabers and flew towards Beerus and swung them at him. Beerus however used Ultra Instinct and dodged them. He then kicked Asriel in the chest and knocked him back.
“Argh! Hold still!”. Asriel continued to swing his sabers at Beerus but Beerus kept dodging them with ease using Ultra Instinct. As Asriel swung down, Beerus dodged the sabers and flicked Asriel on the forehead.
As Asriel was flown back, Beerus appeared behind him and held out his hand. “Hakai!”. Beerus unleashed a blast of energy in order to destroy Asriel instantly. However, Hakai didn’t have an effect. “Interesting. It appears you have the power to at least entertain me”. “I’ll do more than just entertain!”. Asriel swung his sabers again but Beerus caught both of them. “You may have power, but you are certainly no god. Based on how you are just randomly swinging at me as well as your ridiculous title, “God of Hyperdeath”, you’re more of a child playing pretend”. Beerus then used Hakai to destroy the sabers. “What?!”. Beerus then kicked Asriel away and he crashed into a nearby planet. As that happened, Asriel used his Shocker Breaker and Beerus was struck with lightning. Asriel then flew at Beerus with his Chaos Buster and fired shots at Beerus. Beerus then used his Cataclysmic Orb and blasted through the shots. As the attack was coming at Asriel, Asriel fired a rainbow laser beam and blasted through the Cataclysmic Orb and hit Beerus.
Beerus was sent flying through planets and they exploded as he went through them. Beerus then stopped in mid air. “That wasn’t very nice”. Beerus then created a giant energy sphere and threw it at Asriel. Asriel responded by using his Star Blazing and fired stars at the giant sphere. As the giant star collided with the sphere, the two attacks exploded and stars were sent flying everywhere. Asriel brought out his Chaos Sabers and deflected them while Beerus was getting bombarded by the stars. Asriel then flew at Beerus as he was distracted and slashed him with his sabers. As Beerus was being sent flying through space, Asriel chased him and brought out his Chaos Buster. “Still think I’m just playing pretend?!”. Asriel fired the laser, however before Beerus was hit by it, he stopped in mid air and nullified the laser. “Alright then. You want me to treat you like a grownup, then the gloves are coming off!”.
Beerus suddenly spread Hakai all over his body. Asriel used his Star Blazing and sent stars at him but they were all destroyed as they hit Beerus. “What?!”. Asriel then used his Shocker Breaker but the lightning was also destroyed on contact. “I don’t understand!”. “That’s the point!”. Beerus created another large energy sphere. “I am a force that can’t be understood!”. Beerus then threw the sphere at Asriel. Asriel brought out his Chaos Buster and pushed the sphere back with his laser. However, he began to struggle so he used his Star Blazing to try to hit Beerus so he would loosen his grip. However, the stars were destroyed because of Beerus’ Hakai Armor. “T-too much!”. Beerus pointed at the sphere. “Then give up AND ACCEPT YOUR FATE!!!!”. Beerus fired a laser at the sphere and pushed it further into Asriel. Asriel was then engulfed by the sphere.
“It’s time for you to rest now child…”. Suddenly, Asriel transformed in his Angel form and emerged from the sphere. “I’M NOT DONE!!!”. “YOU STUBBORN, SNOT-NOSE, LITTLE BRAT!!!! YOU RUINED MY PERFECT ENDING!!!!”. Asriel then fired rainbow shots at Beerus however they were destroyed as they hit Beerus. As this was happening however, Asriel used his Hyper Goner right behind Beerus and the Hyper Goner began eating the timeline. Beerus’ Hakai Armor dissipated and he found himself being pulled towards it. “What the?!”. “THIS IS WHY I AM THE GOD OF HYPERDEATH!!!”. Asriel fired a massive laser at Beerus. Beerus blocked it but the force of the laser was pushing him closer to the Hyper Goner. “DAMN IT!!!!”. “THIS IS THE END FOR YOU!!!”. Asriel intensified the laser and it pushed Beerus into the Hyper Goner. Beerus was then consumed along with the timeline.

Redshock: And now everything is destroyed. Let’s just hope he decides to do a reset.
Mortician: There was a lot going on in this fight. It was obvious from the start that Beerus had the advantage when it came to experience and fighting skill. Beerus would certainly have an easier time counter attacking against the inexperienced Asriel.
What’s surprising is that Beerus actually has more advantages than just the obvious ones.
Redshock: For starters, Beerus had many ways to counter Asriel’s attacks. His energy nullification and Hakai Armor allowed Beerus to blast through many of Asriel’s range attacks. And Ultra Instinct allowed Beerus to keep ahead of Asriel in close range.
Beerus was also capable of killing Asriel if given the chance. While Asriel is resistant to existence erasure, Haikai also erases the target’s soul which Asriel is not resistant to at that degree. Sure he can handle his souls being attacked but if Beerus gets a chance, he could instantly erase Asriel’s souls.
Mortician: However, Asriel’s own advantages is what gives him the win over Beerus. Beerus can destroy two separate universes while fighting Champa while Asriel can destroy all of the timelines in Undertale. While both feats are technically at a Multiverse level. There is a difference in range and speed. Beerus and Champa have gotten into fights before and were stopped before both universes were destroyed. The anime and manga show different effects of their fight however.
In the manga, Beerus and Champa were basically going across the universes and destroying everything in their path.
Redshock: In the anime, it was them boxing and their energy spreading across the universes. No matter which one we use, it still doesn’t change the fact that the destruction doesn’t happen instantly the way Asriel’s Hyper Goner does. Not only that, but Asriel can destroy all of the timelines while Beerus’ power seems to be limited to just the two universes.
Mortician: It wasn’t just power that gave Asriel the win. Beerus really couldn’t keep up with Asriel. While we don’t know the exact limit of Beerus’ speed, we do know that it can be calculated. Asriel however can keep up with Frisk who outran the Hyper Goner as it was consuming timelines. Frisk had to be moving faster than time itself in order to do that. This would put both Asriel and Frisk at immeasurable speeds which is WAY faster than Beerus. Even if Beerus had mastered Ultra Instinct, it wouldn’t have mattered with this huge speed gap.
Redshock: Speaking of stuff like Ultra Instinct, while Beerus had many kinds of defenses like the Haikai Armor and his resistances to Erasures, Soul Manipulation, and Temporal Manipulation, it is possible to overpower these. We have seen this in Dragon Ball. We have seen characters like Frieza and Vegeta resist the Hakai technique simply by overpowering it. And we have seen the Omni King, Grand Zen-Oh bypass resistances.
Mortician: Despite the Gods of Destruction being able to resist existence erasure, Zen-Oh could still erase them from existence simply because he was more powerful. We see this in Dragon Ball a lot actually. One can overpower a hax the user has if they are able to overpower them. Because Asriel is more powerful than Beerus, he can still erase Beerus from existence or from time itself.
Redshock: Beerus was incredibly powerful but Asriel’s insane Power, Temporal Manipulation and Superior Speed were too much for the God of Destruction. Asriel was the real Goat in this Purrfect fight.
