Batman and Parody Battle Royale: Black Noir vs Batman vs Trash Bag vs Nighthawk vs Moon Knight is an episode of DEATH/James Battle a fanon series of DEATH BATTLE similar to James' own series Heroes vs. Heroes.
Description[]
What if 5 similar characters 3 of them obviously based around one of them met and battled to death?
Intro[]
Doctor Eggward: There are many comics characters in the world, but none as well known as-
James: BATMAN na na na na na na na na na na BATMAN!
Doctor Eggward: Over the years, Batman has inspired many other characters.
James: Like Black Noir from Amazon's series The Boys.
Doctor Eggward: Or Trash Bag, SMG4's attempt at a parody of Batman.
James: Or Nighthawk, the literal Marvel confirmed version of Batman.
Doctor Eggward: Or even Moon Knight whose Steven Grant personality practically makes him Batman.
Doctor Eggward: I'm Doctor Eggward and he's James Playz Reviews and its our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Black Noir[]
Doctor Eggward: In The Boys universe, during World War II, a German scientist named Frederick Vought seeing that his country was going to lose the war, moved to America.
James: He got a citizenship in America and a pardon from the president making a company called Vought American.
Doctor Eggward: In America, Vought would make many serums, one of these would become famously known as Compound V.
James: With this serum, he would create many superpowered people that would come to be known as "Supes"
Doctor Eggward: One of these would be a Batman type figure known as "Black Noir".
James: Wait doesn't Noir just mean black?
Doctor Eggward: Yes.
James: So his name is just "Black Black"?
Doctor Eggward: Yeah, let's just say Dynamite comics didn't think Noir's name out.
James: Could've guessed just from the name.
Doctor Eggward: Black Noir, real name Earving, was an African American male who was most likely the first of his race to receive said compound.
James: Remember, there were still a lot of racists out there.
Doctor Eggward: Were? There still are.
James: I'm aware but there are a lot less tod- oh wait that's right...
Doctor Eggward: Anyway, due to Earving's race he was forced to wear a mask so people would feel more comforted by his character.
James: At least his suit and mask were black, so he in someway didn't have to conceal his race.
Doctor Eggward: And then he was put on a team called "Payback" this universe's Avengers.
James: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Doctor Eggward: What's so funny?
James: Payback? Was that seriously the best they could come up with?
Doctor Eggward: I don't know, was Revengers the best name Marvel could come up with?
James: Uh... um... pretend I didn't say anything.
Doctor Eggward: Black Noir joined this team during World War II however like most of his team members he hated his incredibly prejudice and racist leader Soldier Boy.
James: Unfortunately there was nothing he could do about it.
Doctor Eggward: Until one day his boss, Stan Edgar came to him with an offer.
James: Get rid of Solider Boy, and he'd get more publicity.
Doctor Eggward: So, with the help of his team members, he did just that.
James: But not without getting horrifically scarred in the process *shudders*.
Doctor Eggward: Without a leader the team disbanded, but Noir would get placed onto the new team.
James: *snickers* The-the-the SEVEN AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That name is worse than Payback, if they were gonna create a new Justice League couldn't they have created a better name?
Doctor Eggward: That depends, how well did DC do with their Justice League movie continuity.
James: Err... uh.... um...
Doctor Eggward: Black Noir's new team members were Homelander, Queen Maeve, Deep, Translucent, and Starlight.
James: When Black Noir first teamed up with Homelander it didn't exactly go well but afterwards they became best pals.
Doctor Eggward: Homelander even considered Black Noir to be his father figure, a non-speaking one at that but still a father figure.
James: That is until, Homelander's real father, Soldier Boy returned.
Doctor Eggward: This return along with Black Noir's admitting that he knew Soldier Boy was Homelander's father led to Black Noir's death.
Batman[]
Doctor Eggward: Now everyone knows this guy.
James: Whether you have seen him in movies or in comics, he is the BATMAN!
Doctor Eggward: One of the toughest, smartest, and most skilled superheroes within all of DC comics.
James: With interdimensional counterparts that would make you wish that you were him x10,000,000,000,000
Doctor Eggward; But before we get to that, let's get to Bruce's simpler roots.
James: Bruce started out as a child, a bit of a ungrateful brat who had 2 rich parents named Thomas and Martha Wayne.
Doctor Eggward: One day after watching the opera, they went into Crime Alley.
James: Jeez, what a smart idea, a rich guy going into a place literally called "Crime Alley" why not paint a target on your back that says "SHOOT ME AND TAKE MY MONEY!"
Doctor Eggward: Which is exactly what happened leaving poor Bruce orphaned
James: Given his wealth and his butler Alfred Pennyworth he continued to live in his family home and eventually took over the business when he grew up.
Doctor Eggward: Eventually, Bruce after feeling bad for his parents and wanting to make sure that people never went through what he had to go through went and trained with the Ten Leagues of Assassins.
James: There, he learned nearly every form of martial arts and became the Batman we known and love today.
Doctor Eggward: Batman would go on to do many great things like adopt Robin, fight the Joker, have a biological child-
James: Let's face it he's done everything.
Doctor Eggward: Remind the times he's gotten powers?
James: Yeah a few of those times he became the not-so-lovable Batman we have today.
Doctor Eggward: One thing I don't understand as of late is why everyone makes Superman and Batman out to be enemies when for the longest time in the comics they have been best friends, to the point that when Bruce died (thanks to Darkseid) when Dick took over the mantel Superman nearly ripped Dick's head off over it.
James: Well it's mostly because the 2 don't agree to much, Bruce has Kryptonite in his pocket, Superman is an alien, Bruce is suspicious of everyone, shall I go on?
Doctor Eggward: Are you going to regardless of my answer?
James: Maybe.
Doctor Eggward: Sigh
James: Superman is more hope and happiness, Batman is dark and brooding.
Doctor Eggward: OKAY WE GET IT!
Doctor Eggward: Anyway Batman has one rule (which his DCEU counterpart doesn't seem to follow).
James: He doesn't kill?
Doctor Eggward: Yes but there's a reason why, while Superman just doesn't generally do it but if need be he will, Batman on the other hand knows if he crosses the line he will go from Batman that brutally beats you half to death to a murderous rampage creator.
James: Some universes he has even done this, and in some universes he is wrong.
Doctor Eggward: Let's not talk about him...
James: Anyway the point of Batman is, even while you're down, you're not out, and you can do anything.
Doctor Eggward: Given that you have millions of dollars and spent time scheming and planning.
James: What a great moral am I right ladies and gentleman?
Doctor Eggward: What did I tell you about breaking the fourth wall.
Trash Bag[]
Doctor Eggward: As we've covered on the channel before SMG4 has a wide and vast Multiverse and a nearly just as wife universe.
James: And with such a wide universe your bound to run into the crazy shenanigans that SMG4 and his friends get into.
Doctor Eggward: And one such character is SMG4 Luigi also known as Trash Bag.
Theme music: Na na na na na na na na TRASH BAG na na na na na na na.
James: Hey wait a minute doesn't SMG4 have Batman, Spider-Man, and Ghost Rider in his universe, what's with this knock off?
Doctor Eggward: Well Trash Bag is more nuanced than that, let's get to his origin story. In the Halloween of 2017 everyone was ready to go trick or treat and everyone had costumes.
James: However when people saw Luigi's costume despite the mask obviously meaning it was Batman everyone started referring to it as "Trash Bag".
Doctor Eggward: Luigi however did not like this name and at first tried to reject it but when people didn't stop even when Luigi tried to help them in his Batman outfit Luigi eventually took the name with pride deciding it was a fitting title for him.
James: I mean Luigi is pretty much the "trash bag" of the series.
Rimshot: Budum tisss.
Doctor Eggward rolls his eyes.
Doctor Eggward: Anyway when Mario and SMG4 got out of control with their antics, Luigi or rather Trash Bag would come to save the day, using a helicopter.
James: By the way, how did Luigi even afford that, last time I checked he didn't have a Thomas or Martha Wayne.
Doctor Eggward: Oh well it's like SMG4 episode said in the episode titled "Mario Steals Your Liver" (based on the classic meme) whatever the plot demands physics follow.
James: Oh so basically if you need something that doesn't make sense bull crap money suddenly appears in your pocket?
Doctor Eggward: Basically.
James: Anyway then Marvel released Avengers: Endgame.
Doctor Eggward: So SMG4 decided to make a parody because when you are popular and wanna stay that way, you parody other popular things.
James: Yeah and SMG4 made an episode titled "The Super Dudes"
Doctor Eggward: Basically Wario (the Thanos of the episode) gets the power glove a glove capable of nearly everything (sounds like a familiar gauntlet) but rather than using it to wipe out half of all life he simply just wants to scratch his booty.
James: Can you blame him? Our butts get itchy.
James' eyes widen
James: Speaking of itchy butts, I'll be right back.
James runs out of the room in a flash.
Doctor Eggward: Anyway, Mario or as he calls himself in this episode "Fat Man" because he eats a lot (are they even trying anymore?) also wants to use the glove (CAPABLE OF INFINITE POWER) to scratch his butt, but Wario refuses to let him so Mario decides to gather a team of people with supposedly similar abilities to help get the glove away from Wario.
James: So who better to go to than Luigi, according to the timeline it had been 1 year since Trash Bag made an appearance so him making another one would be useful.
Doctor Eggward: Unfortunately due to the trauma from the last time Trash Bag made an appearance and the brain trauma to Luigi's head from falling on a lava rock, Luigi refuses to do so.
James: WHICH IS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!! It's obvious Trash Bag is gonna come back in the end! Like Luke couldn't have made it more obvious.
Doctor Eggward: Nevertheless Trash Bag does return at the end of the episode and saves the day albeit in a Luigi way.
James: I guess we can't be too mad, of course Luigi is gonna save the day in his own way.
Nighthawk[]
Doctor Eggward: Now as we've talked about before in this series... and in this episode there is a Multiverse for many properties.
James: And this Multiverse affects a lot of things about the characters we known and love.
Doctor Eggward looks at James,
Doctor Eggward: Like how you thought the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon was an animated continuation of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man?
James gets angry.
James: IT COULD'VE HAPPENED!
Doctor Eggward: Anyway due 2 there being a Multiverse and this character getting confused across continuities we are gonna be talking about Kyle Richmond/Nighthawk from his 2 main continuities.
James: Earth-712 (also known as Earth-S) and Earth-616 (then main/prime Marvel universe).
Doctor Eggward: Let's start with the most well known Kyle, Earth-S (or 712 whichever name you prefer for it).
James: Kyle Richmond was the son of an unknown billionaire who got his money from unfair means.
Doctor Eggward: When his father died from a heart attack when Kyle was 18 years old he inherited the company and learned his father's secret.
James: Upon learning, Kyle vowed that he would fight evil men like his father and became the first person to take up the mantle of Nighthawk (at least Marvel did better than Amazon with their version of Batman).
Doctor Eggward: What about Mister Batmom?
James: Shut up.
Doctor Eggward: Sometime after coming up with his name and stopping a few criminals, with the help of Mark Milton also known as Hyperion (this world's Superman).
James: Way better than Homelander.
Doctor Eggward: What about Superbman? Or Icecream Superman?
James: Shut up.
Doctor Eggward: One day thanks to the Collector the Squadron Supreme was pit against Earth-616's Masters of Evil.
James: By the way, the whole Earth-712 and Earth-616 happens a lot, or at least it did before Marvel decided to obliterate Earth-712 in favor of making things easier by putting Hyperion in the main universe as a hero or rather anti-hero.
Doctor Eggward: Even then the one heroic Hyperion of Earth-616 isn't actually from Earth-616.
James: Yeah but given that he's on Earth-616 and his native universe is destroyed he technically is from Earth-616.
Doctor Eggward: You're wrong but it does make him more like Superman, the only difference being Superman is the immigrant of a planet and Hyperion of a universe.
James: Back to the story.
Doctor Eggward; Right, Nighthawk of Earth-712 became the inspiration of his villainous Earth-616 counterpart thanks to some manipulation from the Grandmaster.
James: Yeah and thanks to some special liquid similar to a certain super soldier serum 616 Nighthawk became Batman strong like his 712 counterpart.
Doctor Eggward: Back to 712 Nighthawk.
James: After a couple of battles and the discovery that 712's American president was corrupt and wanted to fight 616's Avengers, Nighthawk became the president for a short time.
Doctor Eggward: During his presidency 2 aliens who wanted to take over 712 attempted to possess Nighthawk but this unfortunately destroyed his consciousness.
James: So an another hero who happened to have feelings for Nighthawk tried to give him back his consciousness by copying some of it from 616 Nighthawk.
Doctor Eggward: This led to one unfortunate side effect.
James: For a brief time, Nighthawk believed himself to be 616 Nighthawk who at that time in the 616 universe had died, imagine how confused the 616 heroes were when 712 Nighthawk came to them claiming to be their fallen friend.
Doctor Eggward: Eventually thanks to a walk through memory lane, 712 Nighthawk got his memories back.
James: Afterwards, Nighthawk resigned from his presidency and went back to being a Squadron member.
Doctor Eggward: That is until the Utopia Program was instated.
James: WHY DO THEY ALWAYS INSERT POLITICS INTO SUPERHEROES?!?!?
Doctor Eggward: The Utopia Program was sort of similar to the Sokovia Accords or the Superhero Registrations Act.
James: Nighthawk, acting like the hero he's based on refused to follow the Utopia Program and quit the team, then basically Marvel's Black Cat Bink and a bunch of other criminals teamed up with Nighthawk to fight the Squadron to stop the Utopia Program.
Doctor Eggward: However due to a love triangle within the Squadron, a superhero who could control, the human body weakened Nighthawk's chest muscles giving him a heart attack killing him.
James: Fortunately all of Nighthawk's work wasn't in vain and after his and Foxfire's deaths the Utopis Program and the Squadron Supreme disbanded.
Doctor Eggward: Being that this is comics that didn't last long (well except for Nighthawk's death) and Nighthawk's adopted son took up his mantel sort of like how Nightwing took up Bruce's when he died.
James: Now 616 Nighthawk's story is a bit different he was apart of the Squadron Sinister for a time, then joined the Defenders, then had some trouble with the Headmen but was helped out of it by Doctor Strange, joined the Defenders again, had some legal troubles (what do you expect he used to be a criminal), joined the Defenders again to fight the Six-Fingered Hand Conspiracy, then died in a heroic sacrifice, then got revived, got resurrected only to die again with Daredevil but thanks to Daredevil they got out of there, rejoined the Defenders, helped Gaea defeat the Order, during the collaboration of Marvel and DC he and the Thing fought Arcade, joined the Thunderbolts to fight his old team the Squadron Sinister, joined Captain America during Civil War but got defeated, fought in a war and then gave the soldiers involved purple hearts, joined the Defenders once again, founded the Fearsome Four to stop Man-Thing, and was impersonated by a Skrull meaning that he's still alive but was one of the many heroes we never got the answer of "Did they escape?".
Doctor Eggward: So James, which version of Nighthawk should we put in this 6-way battle?
James: Well given that our original plan was to include 712 and all the other heroes/villains in this group except for Moon Knight who we're about to get to aren't that strong, to make things fair yeah we're gonna do 712.
Doctor Eggward: You do know the serum 616 Nighthhawk took didn't enhance his strength that much, right?
James: Shut up.
Moon Knight[]
Doctor Eggward: Oh great another Marvel hero we're gonna need to discuss 2 stories about?
James: Well this will be easier because I watched the TV Show from memory and we're gonna be using the TV show for this 6-way.
Doctor Eggward: Let's just discuss it.
(Note: James will be discussing 616 while Eggward will discuss 199999)
James: 616 Marc Spector lived with his father Elias Spector and his brother Roland Spector and a friend of theirs Yits Pearlman who was a rabbi.
Doctor Eggward: 199999 Marc Spector lived with both his parents and his younger brother Roland Spector.
James: One day Yits revealed himself to be a Nazi spy and murdered Elias in front of him traumatizing Marc.
Doctor Eggward: Marc and his brother Roland were big fans of the Indiana Jones style movies of the Adventures of Steven Grant and his apprentice Rosser and the 2 would go roleplaying as the 2 characters. One day however they went to deep into a cave and water poured in till the 2 drowned the only survivor the drowning was Marc.
James: Marc and his brother Roland would grow up to be mercenaries and Marc would gain a partner would betray him and leave him for dead.
Doctor Eggward: Marc's mother would blame Marc for the death of his brother and she would become alcoholic and abusive and begin to beat Marc.
James: Nearly dead, Marc would meet the Egyptian deity Khonshu who would offer Marc new life as Moon Knight, Marc would accept but it would badly damage his psyche giving him 2 alternate personalities Steven Grant a rich billionaire (boom we have Batman), and Jake Lockley a Taxi driver.
Doctor Eggward: Marc to live somewhat normal life would develop a dissociative identity and made an identity known as Steven Grant, however unbeknownst to Spector his psyche was damaged so badly from abuse he developed a second identity known as Jake Lockley.
James: Upon becoming Moon Knight, Marc would develop many suits one of which being the Mr. Knight suit and he would go on many adventures sometimes even joining the Midnight Suns or even the Avengers.
Doctor Eggward: When Marc grew up his mother died and he couldn't even bring himself to go to her funeral only for his Steven Grant persona to come out and begin talking to "his mother".
James: And because I didn't read that much on Moon Knight from Earth-616, let's go back to Earth-19999 and continue.
Doctor Eggward: Years later, Marc got a partner and become a mercenary and went on a mission only for that partner to betray him leading to Marc meeting Khonshu leading to him becoming Moon Knight.
James: As Marc and Khonshu went on more and more adventures, Marc (after having married one of his past partners who died's daughter) eventually wanted no part in his relationship with Khonshu.
Doctor Eggward: This would make Khonshu who wanted Marc's alter Jake as his avatar to imply that he instead wanted Marc's wife as his alter.
James: Years later after an event that had to do with a certain being, Marc would fight Arthur Harrow a villain and former avatar of Khonshu and would free himself of Khonshu.
Doctor Eggward: Or did he? Because remember Khonshu wanted Jake, not Layla, so therefore while Marc and Steven are free, Marc as a whole is not.
Pre-Fight[]
Doctor Eggward: Alright the combatants are set and we've put in a situation.
James: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTTTTTLLLLLLLEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
DEATH BATTLE[]
Batman is looking over the city when suddenly Black Noir appears behind him.
Batman turns around.
Batman: So, you've come to attempt to take me out, have you?
Black Noir does not answer.
Suddenly Trash Bag appears.
Trash Bag: Haha! Go weegee! Go weegee! Oh yeah!
Batman: I assume you're gonna try to take me out as well?
Trash Bag: Huh?
Nighthawk suddenly appears
Nighthawk: Huh, seems I'm not the only one.
Moon Knight glides down next to him.
Mr. Knight: You're not exactly the last one either.
Batman: Just so you know, none of you can beat me.
Moon Knight: Well I'm not exactly after only you.
Batman realizes that they are all after each other as well as him.
Batman: I see.
The 5 begin to fight, Black Noir seems to have the upper hand on Batman both having ninja like skills and dodging each other's attacks.
Trash Bag throws around random moves and repeatedly says "Go weegee!" his fighting prowess is however matched by the other as Nighthawk attempts to fight both Batman and the others.
Batman then decides to go into his armored suit.
Batman: Ready to give up yet?
Nobody answers and they all continue fighting.
Batman in a reference to "The Boys" TV show rips Black Noir's guts out with the armored suit amazing the others.
Batman simply tosses Luigi away.
This leaves only Batman, Nighthawk, and Moon Knight.
Nighthawk continues to try to fight only for Batman to slam his head into the ground which makes a sickening "crack!" noise.
Batman: It appears we're the only 2 left.
Moon Knight: Indeed
Batman: Wanna give up now.
Moon Knight: Not a chance.
Batman and Moon Knight fight blow for blow.
The 2 give each other punches and return punches.
Batman then takes one of Mr. Knight's batons and stabs Moon Knight with it and thinking the knight is out for the count throws him on the ground.
Suddenly Batman hears something and turns around only for Moon Knight to get back up and stab him.
Moon Knight: How out of character for you Batman, you let your guard down around an opponent.
Batman falls down and dies
Result[]
James: Woah, did not expect that.
Doctor Eggward: This was a very close match.
James: And despite Batman's strength and ultimate planning as the real DEATH BATTLE has explained before, Batman in order to win would need time to plan which again these matches don't provide.
Doctor Eggward: Also Moon Knight (or his MCU form) has a healing factor that is similar to The Mask's in which he can simply reject pain, he can still be shot and stuff but bullets will either bounce off him or he just won't get hurt at all.
James: Oh and Trash Bag is literally the least powerful of the Batman knock offs, why did we include him again?
Doctor Eggward: You got obsessed with him for a few weeks after finding out about his existence.
James: Ah!
Doctor Eggward: The winner surprisingly, is Moon Knight!
