Bartholomew Henry “Bart” Allen II is a superhero speedster from DC Comics. He started as Impulse, became the second Kid Flash, and eventually became the fourth Flash.

Bart Allen was born in the 30th century, the son of Don Allen and the grandson of Barry Allen. As a teenager, Bart journeyed back in time to the 20th century, and became a member of the Flash Family. He first took the name of Impulse, to reflect his impulsive nature, but when he grew somewhat older, he switched his name to Kid Flash.
At the time of the Infinite Crisis, Bart took the mantle of the Flash, but he was killed by the Rogues during Full Throttle. He was later resurrected, during the events of the Final Crisis, and returned to being Kid Flash. During the course of his career, he was a member of the New Titans, Young Justice, the Teen Titans, and the Legion of Super-Heroes. He was then presumably killed in the Flashpoint event after becoming White Flash.
However, in Colonel Corps: Crisis of Infinite Colonels, it turns out he wasn’t dead, and he joined the new New 52 incarnation of Young Justice.
