Not much is known about Aya Shameimaru's past, but presently she is a news reporter in the land of Gensokyo.

Aya Shameimaru appears human, but she is actually a crow tengu, a supernatural creature. She is of medium height and build, has shoulder-length black hair, and has vibrant red eyes. Her preferred outfit is a white blouse, a short black skirt, and red Tokin (a small box tied to her head). She is sometimes seen with a crow.
Powers and Abilities[]
Aya’s powers are based on her ability to manipulate the wind. She has the following abilities:
- Flight - She can ride a whirlwind anywhere she likes.
- Long range listening - She can listen to what is on the wind, allowing her to hear things at an extreme distance.
- Wind manipulation - She can cause winds to appear whenever she wants.
