History[]
Princess Aurora was born in 19th century Austria to a Duke and his mysterious though beautiful wife. After the death of Aurora’s mother, her father married a second wife, who was known as “his new bride.” But on Good Friday, 1895, Aurora went to bed and apparently died in her sleep, leaving her father prostrate with grief.
However, Aurora awoke on an ancient altar in a strange forest. Thinking that she was dreaming, the little girl set out, calling for her father to awaken her. She met a talking firefly, named Igniculus, who led her through the magical forest, to the Lady of the Forest, a seer who would help her to find a way back to the waking world.
Once she fought her way through to the seer, the lady told her that she was not asleep, but in the magical land of Lemuria. The land of Lemuria was formerly ruled by a good queen, but is now ruled by Umbra, the Queen of the Night. The seer then told her that her only way back was via a magic mirror that was behind Umbra’s throne. And to help her along, the Lady of the Forest gave Aurora the gift of magical flight, and a recorder. After that she faded away.
