Neon Genesis Evangelion VS Dragon Ball Z! These two prideful warriors have faced many deadly beings & now they're facing each other! Who will survive?
Intro[]
Wiz: The Tsundere. Love them or hate them, they remain a key part of anime tradition.
Boomstick: They can be the softest of souls or the hardest bastards in fiction!
Wiz: Asuka Langley Sohryu, the second child and pilot of Evangelion Unit-02.
Boomstick: And Vegeta, the prince of the Saiyans and Goku's top rival.
Wiz: For this fight we will be sticking to their classic 20th century incarnations. That means no Rebuild of Evangelion, crossover games or Dragon Ball GT onwards.
Boomstick: He's Wizard & I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle!
Asuka Langley Sohryu synchronises for DEATH BATTLE![]
Wiz: The year was 2015, the city of Tokyo-3 was constantly attacked by mysterious, reality-distorting beings known as Angels. To retaliate against their attack, an organisation called NERV created partly-organic fighting robots known as Evangelion-Units, though you can just call them EVAs.
Boomstick: And who better to pilot those EVA-Units but depressed hormonal teenagers!
Wiz: One of which had an aspiration to excel her peers and become Tokyo-3's ultimate defender. Her name was Asuka Langley Sohryu!
Wiz: After being raised in Germany following abandonment by her mother, Asuka was shipped to Japan with the daunting task of piloting the colossal EVA-02
Boomstick: Oh man, these EVAs! Unit-02 is faster and more agile than Unit-01, at the expense of strength and durability, which it still has plenty of. In fact, it's strong enough to lift up and chuck an entire battleship with relative ease, like damn!
Wiz: But that's not all Boomstick, as Unit-02 is packed with a ton of weapons to defend itself. Such as the progressive knife, Pallet Gun and Spines Launcher. It also uses the Überelectromagnetische Armbrust MM-144.
Boomstick: Whu-wha what now?
Wiz: Giant Electromagnetic Crossbow, Boomstick. Anyway, this crossbow can shoot giant bolts, using electromagnetism to fire them at hypersonic velocities.
Boomstick: And for close combat, it also uses a large metal staff that was able to cut through an angel in a single swing!
Wiz: But when defences are lacking, an EVA-Unit can use it's AT field, a light barrier that blocks attacks directed toward the EVA. It can also be used as a weapon.
Boomstick: The strength of this badass force field all depends on the bond between EVA and pilot. The more in sync, the stronger. But best of all is the Beast Mode.
Wiz: The Beast, or Berserk mode gains the EVA sentience, making it act on it's own. It can increases the synchronisation rate between EVA and pilot and strengthens the AT field.
Boomstick: Don't worry because, it inhibits itself on purpose, meaning it won't backfire too much.
Wiz: EVA-02 is a formidable fighter, being able to survive the deepest of underwater trenches and with Shinji in Unit-01, they kicked an angel hard enough to level a city! But it is very flawed.
Wiz: Asuka, despite being a great pilot, suffers from depression from her tragic childhood, which falters her capabilities. Her strategies aren't the best & she has lost more than she won. Also, like every other EVA, the damage it sustains on beast mode goes into the pilot.
Boomstick: Well shit! Ah well, as long as she's not mentally damaged, she will always be there to kick some angel ass!

Vegeta shows DEATH BATTLE! his pride[]
Wiz: Vegeta was born a prince to the bloodthirsty warmongers known as Saiyans on the planet... Vegeta.
Boomstick: Said planet then got nukey dukey by an evil alien tyrant called Frieza, who then moulded Vegeta into a ruthless killer.
Wiz: He, alongside fellow Saiyan survivors Raditz & Nappa would scavenge for planets to sell for the Frieza Force. But that plan would be put on hold when he heard about the legendary Dragon Balls, leading him to find Earth for immortality.
Boomstick: But after a while & a few defeats he turned on Freiza, got hitched to fellow blue babe Bulma & became one of Earth's greatest defenders, like damn! He has one of the best character arcs in all of Dragon Ball!
Wiz: Vegeta has proven himself time after time as a formidable foe, he can move at around hypersonic speed, keeping up with the likes of Goku.
Boomstick: He's also able to survive the outer atmospheres of space for long periods of time, is a master of hand-to-hand combat & can withstand a friggin' nuclear blast!
Wiz: That's right Boomstick. Vegeta can also harness a natural inner energy called Ki to create devastating attacks, such as his trademark Galick Gun, which can clash with Goku's kamehameha. He can also shoot a barrage of Ki blasts, overwhelming his foes.
Boomstick: There's also the Big Bang Attack, a massive god damn explosion covering a vast distance! But none of that compares to the FINAL FLASH!!!!! Basically, a ginormous fuck off beam that can erase entire planets!
Wiz: Don't worry, he's not limited to just these attacks, he can do much more with Ki.
Boomstick A lot of which are big-ass lasers.
Wiz: But that's not all, as he can reach the legendary stasis as a Super Saiyan!
Cue- "Vegeta's Super Saiyan theme"
Wiz: This near indestructible visage increases his power by 50%.
Boomstick: & it gives you this sick-ass golden hair! Super Sonic was cool & all, but it can't compete with the original.
Wiz: Vegeta can take this form to the next level with Super Saiyan 2, giving him a 100x boost to base stats.
Boomstick: Math, am I right?
Wiz: But despite all this power, Vegeta has a tendency to...
Boomstick: Get his ass handed to him by every new villain that rolls along to the scene! Like, come on man!!
Wiz: ...Yeah, basically. But still, after all these defeats & even three deaths in Z alone, he's still fighting for his family, his home, his planet.
Boomstick: While still being a dick.
You may have invaded my mind & my body, but there's one thing a Saiyan always keeps; his PRIDE!!!!

Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set! Let's end this debate for once & for all!

- The connections between Asuka & Vegeta is that they are arrogant & prideful secondary characters who are associated as part of a trio (EVA pilots/Saiyans). Over the course of their series, they slowly grew more fond of their main rival/enemy-ish? (Shinji/Goku). They often see themselves as the best despite them getting their asses kicked & even dying to other enemies. They also don't call the protagonist by their name, preferring to call them idiot/Kakarot respectfully (I know Kakarot is Goku's actual name but still)
