Assassin Sasaki Kojiro vs Sir Alonne is a What-If? Death Battle featuring Assassin (Sasaki Kojirou) from Fate and Sir Alonne from Dark Souls.
Description[]
Fate vs Dark Souls! These two blade wielders are going to face each other by clashing blades with each other in this sword fight.
Interlude[]
Wiz: The art of swordsmanship has been passed down from warrior to warrior.
Boomstick: And these two are indeed skilled with it.
Wiz: Assassin Sasaki Kojiro, the Nameless Samurai.
Boomstick: And Sir Alonne, the Old Iron King's former right-hand.
Wiz: I'm Wizard, and he's Boomstick, and it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to see who would win a Death Battle!
Assassin Sasaki Kojiro[]
Wiz: In legend, Sasaki Kojiro was one of Japan's most feared samurai, and he was known to wield a blade known as Monohoshi Zao, as well as the rival of another famed samurai named Miyamoto Musashi.
Boomstick: However, that samurai didn't actually exist, meaning he is a false servant and a wraith, but Caster is able to summon him by using a dagger called the Rule Breaker.
Wiz: As you can see Assassin isn't an actual assassin-classed servant because of his swordsmanship, since assassin-classed servants are relatively weak and specialize in assassination techniques. He is also unusual from other servants due to his low parameters.
Boomstick: Assassin is defensive rather than offensive as well, and he is confined to Ryuudou Temple, where he acts as its guardian.
Wiz: The blade assassin wields is a 150 cm long blade Bitchu Aoe blade known as Monohoshi Zao, which means Laundry-Drying Pole due to the blade's length. This blade is so long only Assassin himself is able to wield it, in fact, he wields it so well is that not even Gilgamesh would challenge him in a sword duel.
Boomstick: Now let's talk about his moves.
Wiz: First is False Mind's Eye, which is the sixth sense that helps him avoid danger and observe the fighting styles and weapons of his opponent after clashing a few times with his blade.
Boomstick: Second is Knowledge of Respect and Harmony, which prevents his attack accuracy from going down, even if he continues using the same move on his opponent.
Wiz: Third is Vitrification, Which serenifies his mind and can protect and nullify him from any interference.
Boomstick: And finally, Presence and Concealment, Which hides him from revealing himself as a servant.
Wiz: While most servants have a special technique known as a Noble Phantasm, Assassin, being a false servant and a wraith, has a technique known as Tsubame Gaeshi. Its name means Swallow Reversal, and Assassin performs it by sending three slashes at his opponent and it can cut a flying swallow in half. It is also unavoidable.
Boomstick: Although Assassin is known for his swordsmanship, he does have some flaws and weaknesses, as he doesn't have a lot of techniques besides Tsubame Gaeshi, and he still lacks a Noble Phantasm.
Wiz: Despite all this, Assassin is still one of the greatest of sword-wielding servants.
Sir Alonne[]
Wiz: In lore, Sir Alonne was a powerful wandering swordsman from the East, who wielded an equally powerful bewitching sword and helped a lord become the Old Iron King.
Bomstick: After the Iron King established his kingdom, Sir Alonne became his right-hand, and they made their knights wear eastern equipment, but he then wandered off and abandoned the Iron King once he was at the peak of his rule. He eventually named his knights in the honor of him.
Wiz: The sword that Sir Alonne wields is the Bewitched Alonne Sword, a nagamaki that is so powerful, is that Sir Alonne is strong enough to wield and control it.
Boomstick: He is capable of buffing it up, which gives him the ability to launch dark waves at his opponents!
Wiz: He can also perform 1800 degree slashes at his opponent, jump and perform a downward slash at his opponent, and stab and impale his opponent.
Boomstick: Even though Sir Alonne doesn't have a lot of weakness due to his resistance and immunity to magic attacks and bleeding, he is vulnerable to lightning magic.
Wiz: And that is the only type of magic he is weak against, since he is resisted to all the other types of magic.
Boomstick: Nevertheless, Sir Alonne is still one of the most skilled and deadliest combatants in Dark Souls.
Intermission[]
Wiz: All right, the combatants are set. Let's end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLLLLLLEEEEEE!!!!!
Death Battle[]
Assassin wanders through the Memory of the Old Iron King. He then proceeds through a doorway and enters a room where he meets a samurai-like knight. His name was Sir Alonne.
Assassin: You seem to be a worthy opponent.
Sir Alonne goes into his fighting stance and bows to assassin.
Assassin: You accept my challenge? Very well.
Assassin pulls out his sword and goes into his fighting stance.
FIGHT!
Assassin and Sir Alonne start to clash each other with their blades. As Sir Alonne attempts to slash Assassin with his Bewitched Alonne Sword, he blocks it. Assassin then slashes horizontally at Sir Alonne. He then recovers and swings his sword to counter Assassin's attack and jumps backwards and launches dark waves at him. Assassin rolls and dodges the dark waves, then slashes Sir Alonne on the right shoulder. Sir Alonne recovers and attempts to do an upward slash on Assassin, but he dodges it by jumping backwards.
Assassin then charges at Sir Alonne and slashes him on the chest. Sir Alonne slashes Assassin on the leg, then does a downward slash on Assassin, but he parried, and they clash blades once again. Assassin then uses Knowledge of Respect and Harmony and slashes Sir Alonne twice. Sir Alonne then recovers and attempts to do a vertical slash at Assassin, who blocks it and does a horizontal slash at him. He then rushes at Sir Alonne and slashes Sir Alonne through his torso.
Recovering from getting slashed on the torso, Sir Alonne began slashing Assassin three times.Assassin recovers and attempts to to impale Sir Alonne, but he dodges it and tries to do a vertical slash on him. However, Assassin dodges it and uses Mind's Eye to increase his reflexes and awareness. Assassin then swings Monohoshi Zao multiple times at Sir Alonne, who blocked the slashes. Sir Alonne attempts to perform a gliding slash on Assassin, but he counters it by parrying it and slashes him on the left shoulder.
The two started to clash with their blades for the third time, and during this, Sir Alonne began to slash Assassin on his left leg. He recovers and performs Tsubame Gaeshi on Sir Alonne, leaving three gashes on his chest. He then kicks Sir Alonne on the stomach and unleashed multiple slashes on him. Sir Alonne eventually recovers and launches more dark waves at Assassin. He then attempts to perform a double slash on Assassin, but he soon recovers and counters by swinging Monohoshi Zao and then cuts Sir Alonne's head off.
K.O.!
Assassin turns away, puts Monohoshi Zao back into its sheath, and leaves Sir Alonne's room.
Results[]
Boomstick: Wow, with all those clashes, this is one of the coolest sword duels I've ever seen!
Wiz: Yeah, even though Assassin and Sir Alonne are expert swordsmen, Assassin is more skilled with his blade while Sir Alonne, on the other hand, needs to stab his opponent and himself to enhance his blade.
Boomstick: As you can see, Tsubame Gaeshi is completely unavoidable, as it is capable of crippling and killing Assassin's opponent. It also foreshadowed Saber's outcome by the technique.
Wiz: And it has dealt an enormous amount of damage on Sir Alonne as it has left him vulnerable to Assassin slashing his head off.
Boomstick: Well, it's no wonder Assassin is one of the greatest sword-wielding servants for nothing.
Wiz: The winner is Assassin Sasaki Kojiro.
