Asriel Dreemurr VS Jobu Tupaki is a What if? Death Battle by XarXel. It features Asriel Dreemurr from the global indie game phenomenon Undertale, and Jobu Tupaki from Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Description[]

Undertale VS Everything Everywhere All At Once! So unfortunate for children to be forced into positions of power, such power far too much for even an adult to handle mentally.

Intro[]

The episode opens with the Death Battle transition card closing before opening again to show Asriel calling lightning down on Jobu Tupaki only for her to brush it off like nothing happened and extend her hand out to hold Asriel still, which pauses and grays out as Ringmaster shouts...

The screen then statics into playing the Death Battle intro.

(Wiz & Boomstick by Brandon Yates)

Wiz: "Asriel Dreemurr, the prince turned flower turned God of Undertale."

Boomstick: "Jobu Tupaki, the greatest threat to the infinite multiverse."

Wiz: "The Multiverse, filled with infinite universes with infinite possibilities, is not something to be trifled with. Who knows what kind of power you'd obtain, let alone control."

Boomstick: "And yet, there are some out there willing to experiment such power on their children! Disgraceful."

Wiz: "Yeah... Dis... graceful..."

Boomstick: "He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!"

Wiz: "And it's our job to test their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!"

Asriel Dreemurr[]

Wiz: "Long ago, two races ruled the Earth; humans and monsters."

Boomstick: "Gee, I wonder who called them that?"

Wiz: "One day, war broke loose between the two factions, with the humans standing victorious. As punishment, the monsters were sealed underground under a magic barrier only human souls could break."

Boomstick: "But one human, Chara, fell into the Underground, and the one monster that helped them in their obviously concussive state was none other than the prince of all the monsters, Asriel Dreemurr."

Childhood memories

Wiz: "Chara would be adopted to the royal Dreemurr family of Toriel and Asgore, and would become an inspiration for the rest of the Underground monsters. More so, they became best with the young Asriel, where they would plan on how to break the barrier."

Boomstick: "The plan they came up with was a bit morbid for Asriel, and I don't blame him. I'm a full-grown adult, and I find the idea of offing yourself through consuming buttercup flowers, let your best friend absorb your soul to become all powerful, and slaughter an entire town of humans upon arriving... FUCKED UP, at bare minimum."

The plan

Wiz: "In fairness, human souls in the world of Undertale are extremely powerful, one being as powerful as all of the monsters alive, and collecting more would turn a monster into an actual god, one powerful enough to break the barrier altogether. However, they only needed 6 more souls, and Chara's hatred for humanity overtook their plan."

To be feared

Boomstick: "Asriel, not wanting the trauma of blood on his hands, resisted Chara's control and grew a backbone to stop Chara from killing everyone."

*Gunshot*

Boomstick: "...Pretty sure he lost that bone there, too."

Wiz: "Where this point in the story would end for them, Asriel's body dies into dust upon a flower bed, along with his and Chara's souls."

The Death Battle transition card closes over.

Wiz: "HOWEVER...!"

The Death Battle transition card opens drastically fast.

Wiz: "...there are worse fates than death. You see, upon the death of his children, Asgore has incited to capture other human souls and extract their determination. Determination is considered the extreme strength of will to keep living and resolve to change fate, and humans have more of it than any monster."

Boomstick: "And Alphys injected determination into one of the buttercup flowers on Asriel's grave, and it gave birth to... Flowey the Flower. Aww, what a cute little..."

KillOrBeKilled

Boomstick: "...psychopath..."

Wiz: "Without a soul, Asriel, or really Flowey, lacked the power to truly care for others and compassion. Worst of all, his determination allowed him to SAVE and LOAD, basically manipulate time exactly like an RPG."

Boomstick: "With this terrifying ability, Flowey has done everything to do in the Underground, especially the Genocide Route. And killing everyone truly morphed him into the soulless flower he unfortunately became, especially when he adopted the 'kill or be killed' mentality."

Wiz: "Let alone, when he tried to project that mentality on the next human to enter the Underground. This human, however, possessed more determination than Flowey, taking away his ability SAVE and LOAD. Naturally, he assumes this was Chara."

Boomstick: "He was half-right, but overall, this was a different person, one that would go against his 'Kill or be killed' mentality. Well, unless you chose otherwise."

Wiz: "Nonetheless, Flowey's options became more limited because of this human's determination. This intense

Boomstick: "And despite being nothing more than a flower, Flowey had incredible power. He could grow vines strong enough to pull an elevator at 79% the speed of sound. Considering the size of the elevator, he'd be pulling a kinetic energy of 18 tons of TNT! Not to mention, he can bullets that close in around your very soul!"

Wiz: "However, he'd become even more powerful obtaining the 6 human souls his father locked away. Upon obtaining them, Flowey destroyed the entire save file of the game, and thus, the entire timeline itself, even closing the game in the process."

I was playing that!

Boomstick: "Hey, I was playing that! And playing it again, the human is met instead with Photoshop Flowey. (confident) Oh, what, he couldn't draw his creation and instead he... (horrified) ...mismatched and morphed plants and flesh together into an absolute monstrosity-? OH, GOD!"

Wiz: "This form has significantly more abilities for Flowey to play with, from a mouth laser beam, piercing vines, insects flying about, nukes, flamethrowers, to his regained SAVE and LOAD, which he abuses intensely. This monstrosity is Flowey's pinnacle of arrogance and malice."

Boomstick: "Despite his own determination, Flowey does not have full control over the six human souls, allowing the fallen human's own to turn the souls against him. Well, that was a bust."

Wiz: "However, this wasn't the peak of his power in the course of the game. To reach the peak, Flowey had to rely on the human's choices, into the True Pacifist route."

Boomstick: "That means sparing everyone, playing their own games, and trudging through the True Lab, which Flowey was more than happy to help us with dragging the elevator. How nice of him!"

Wiz: "Makes sense, considering Flowey has done everything he could in the Underground, to the point where any reaction from any monsters are just text boxes and numbers to him. Actively helping the human would only mean it directly benefits his grander plan."

Boomstick: "What changes is instead of Asgore taking the life of the human, all the monsters they befriended come to talk some sense into the king. Toriel, Papyrus, Sans, Alphys, Undyne, Mettaton - hell, all of monsterkind show up actually! What was Flowey planning here, to be completely trotted on?"

Wiz: "THIS is exactly what Flowey needed. Almost all of monsterkind in one room, just enough to create an extra human soul to add with the other six, and become a God like in the original plan so long ago. Not only returning as Asriel Dreemurr, but becoming the absolute GOD of Hyperdeath."

Boomstick: "Pfft! Hyperdeath!? What kind of childish IDIOT came up with tha- OOOH, right... Well, returning to his BOSS Monster body, he can spray a danmaku of flames like his dear ol' mom and pop. However, being a God, Asriel has SO much more abilities to play with."

Wiz: "Including the ones from all the monsters in the Underground. From the homing energy attacks from the average monster, to the status effects from Gerson that prevents others from attacking him in his store and Sans' Karma that poisons the soul for the amount of sins they have."

Boomstick: "Mini-suns, mini-moons, ice, plants, bones, so many elemental attacks at his disposal. Yet, being a God himself, Asriel has more than enough to perform his own abilities."

Wiz: "Asriel can fly and leave a rainbow trail, a speed too elusive to hit. He can create weapons out of thin air, such as the Chaos Sabers, two deadly blades that fires homing sparks, and the Chaos Buster, which fires bullets in different waves and finishes with a charged beam."

Boomstick: "Asriel can call down lightning bolts in his Shocker Breaker attack, each bolt increasing in size after each pattern. Hell, speaking of calling down, his Star Blazing attack literally rains down stars at his opponents, blasting their particles all over the battlefield!"

Wiz: "But by far his deadliest ability is the Hypergoner. Upon using it, the Hypergoner purges the current entire timeline, consuming time and space all in just a few seconds. And yet, this would seem casual to him, not only because he's holding back in this fight, but because his attack value is infinite, something not even Omega Flowey possessed."

Boomstick: "Yet, he can't seem to kill the human, even with his strongest attack. Hell, it REFUSED to die. And unfortunately, the human still has a similar level of determination as Asriel."

Wiz: "That's interesting for Asriel, as the human can regenerate their soul on death, and resist and escape from the timeline erasing Hypergoner. But what's more is the human's determination is preventing Asriel to enact his true godly plan; the TRUE RESET."

Refuse

Boomstick: "This is like a normal reset, except it overpowers the memory who can recall events from previous timelines. In fact, Asriel was planning to go back to the buttercup incident, starting over the plan from scratch."

Wiz: "Even as Asriel unleashes his full power, he couldn't win against the human's determination, although that might be because they're playing a different game. Instead of fighting Asriel, the human intends on saving him... along with all of monsterkind..."

Boomstick: "Trapped by the God's power, the human sought to reignite the erased monsters' memories from the absorption, saving their friends they bonded close to. And they didn't stop at the rest - they wanted to redeem Asriel."

Wiz: "This human completely counters Asriel's philosophy, one he held on to for so long as Flowey, and one forced upon him from Chara. In special reasoning with Asriel, the human, Frisk, successfully saves him, being the friend Asriel always needed."

Boomstick: "The whole reason behind Flowey adopting the 'kill or be killed' mentality was because he had no compassion without a soul. With his caring nature restored, Asriel lets go of his godly powers and breaks the barrier, even if it meant returning to being that flower."

Wiz: "However, he has not forgotten the kindness from Frisk. As the rest of monsterkind live their lives out of the underground, Flowey asks the player - yes, YOU the player - to let Frisk to live their life, not wanting their efforts to be erased for another playthrough. Perhaps there is a soul left in Asriel after all."

A hug

Jobu Tupaki[]

Wiz: "Evelyn Quan Wang is a mundane person with a mundane life, running a laundromat and living with her family."

Boomstick: "Well, it's not like her marriage with her goofy husband Waymond is failing, and she has no approval for her daughter Joy's Sapphic relationship. No, that would suck. Anyway, her life sucks, and Evelyn's money problem's getting out of hand- *snores*"

Wiz: "BOOMSTICK!"

Boomstick: "Huh!? Eh- Wha-!? Jeez, I don't blame her. It takes a lot of boredom to put ME to sleep."

Wiz: "No it doesn't! In fact, it only takes-"

Boomstick: "Alcohol and concussions don't count!"

Wiz: *sighs* "Well, one day, her life wasn't remaining mundane for long. From the infinite reaches of the multiverse, the alpha version of her husband warns her about an impending evil, one intent on the destruction of all reality - Jobu Tupaki!"

The Great Evil Jobu Tupaki

Boomstick: "What's so evil about a pocket gun?"

Wiz: "...What!?"

Boomstick: "T-that's what it translates to! 'Jobu Tupaki' means 'pocket gun' in a southern Indian dialect!"

Wiz: "...okay. Regardless, Jobu Tupaki actually originated from the Alphaverse. In fact, she was Evelyn's daughter Joy, or, really, IS. The Alphaverse has perfected the technique of Verse jumping, which launches your consciousness into any version of yourself in the infinite multiverse to gain special skills from those timelines."

Boomstick: "Like obtaining martial arts to the point of boosting your own strength to launch people in the air... with you pinkie! You do this by... doing whatever is required - give yourself papercuts, tell someone you love them, or shove a plug up your-"

Wiz: "AHEM! However, Alpha Evelyn wanted to push Joy further, and the more she did, the more her daughter's mind broke until her consciousness fractures across the ENTIRE multiverse, experiencing each timeline at the same time."

Boomstick: "You could say she's experiencing Everything, Everywhere, All At Once! Heh heh. Though, she requires to focus on a single version to act in any reality, but none were beyond her reach. And with this infinite connection, Jobu Tupaki has the skills needed across every 'verse, from the deadly to the ridiculous! Or both!"

Close

Wiz: "It doesn't stop at physical skill, however. Jobu Tupaki can straight up warp reality itself. In fact, she can morph any particle of all existence to her liking, like smoking a gun like a vape pen, turning a shot wound into spilled ketchup, or changing any matter to weapons."

Random Rearrangement

Boomstick: "She could do the same to her body, changing outfits in a blink of an eye or flip her whole body the opposite direction in an instant. Hell, if she wanted to, Jobu can just turn you into confetti. Or, really, anything she feels like, she's not limited in options here. Heh, quite the opposite in fact."

Wiz: "By far her deadliest attack, however, is overloading your mind with forced Verse jumping. Imagine your mind as a clay pot, and each Verse jump forms a crack. Verse jumps normally is activated by the user's choice, but Jobu Tupaki forces multiple cracks into your mind at once, until it all shatters."

Boomstick: "And she did this to her mother of all people! Then again, Alpha Evelyn forcibly broke her mind first, so it's kind of even. Though, one has to wonder, does she like this interdimensional omnipresence?"

Wiz: "And the answer is a resounding NO. Being exposed to the infinite possibilities of the multiverse has desensitized Joy of her rational morals. Every weird thing she does is to entertain herself in her endless boredom. It's a nightmare she can never escape from."

Boomstick: "THAT'S where her most terrifying ability comes in - the Everything Bagel! It's a bagel with everything on it! All of Joy's hopes and dreams, every breed of dog, every personal ads on Craigslist, all the seasoning, and it just collapsed on the bagel, turning it into a black hole."

Bagel

Wiz: "Not even a normal black hole, but one that threatens the infinite multiverse itself. It rips yourself apart, to the point of tearing other versions of you at the same time, outright erasing your existence across the infinite scope of the multiverse! And you can't even escape from it, as the mere sight of it corrupts your mind with its truth of the multiverse."

Boomstick: "Nothing. Matters. Oh, boy, she must be fun at parties. While it's not used specifically to end the multiverse, it technically could given it's properties. Wait, why would she even idealize this black hole? It's the one thing that could end... her life... for... good... OOOOOHH..."

Wiz: "Considering her condition, it would feel overwhelming experiencing infinite possibilities. Each and every new discovery just reminds Jobu Tupaki how meaningless her existence is, driving more and more to suicide, trying to escape her temporal permanence through the bagel."

Boomstick: "Yet, a part of her didn't want to go through with it. In fact, it's why she wanted THIS Evelyn - the Evelyn who made the 'worst' choices - to experience, well... Everything... Everywhere... All At Once... just like her. Only she would find a reason to keep living..."

Confession

Wiz: "Evelyn's journey through the weird, mundane, and chaotic realms of the multiverse has pushed her through a lot, but across all of them, Waymond proved to be that way. His empathy across most of his alternate selves proved to be a far greater drive than what Evelyn ever came across in the multiverse."

Boomstick: "Not surprising when his most successful single version would still love to pay taxes with Evelyn. Man, I could use a wife like that. Or a president."

Wiz: "Soon enough, Evelyn fights back not by chaotic violence, but by empathy and understanding. Through this, she managed to reason with Joy. No matter how insignificant they are, no matter the magnitude of the discovery, no matter how happy she herself can be, Evelyn still wants to care for her child, her Joy."

Boomstick: "She pulled Joy out of the dark spiral she created, and give her the love and care she needed all this time, now contempt with her existence in reconciliation. We definitely need hope like that these days."

Loving

Fight[]

In the bustling and boisterous city, Joy Wang's apathetic silent walk was practically invisible from pedestrians minding their business. It's all the same, nothing surprises Joy in this city. Not even the sight of Mount Ebott musters any emotion out of her, as she continues on with her mundane afternoon.

From the grass gravings of Mount Ebott, however, a light shoots out from its hole. Free from the confines of the Underground, Asriel Dreemurr laughs maniacally, wanting to have some fun with his godly abilities on the lowly humans.

He flies towards the nearby city, crashing down in the center with bright light attracting an audience. Joy was one of the only people more intrigued rather than terrified (or pissed) from the arrival of this tall goat.

Asriel Dreemurr: "People of humanity, I, Asriel Dreemurr, king of the underground monsters, declare my godly place as your ruler! Any objectors-!"

Suddenly, a bullet flies to his face, its momentum taken away on contact and grabbing Asriel's attention. Looking down, a police officer who has his foot pinned on a black man lying down is mortified to witness the goat twisting his head 270 degrees the other direction to look at him instead of a simple left turn.

Asriel Dreemurr: "-will be disposed of!"

Seeing Asriel motions a magical command, the officer abandons his position and running away like a coward, but a lightning bolt strikes where he was heading, obliterating the officer's body and soul in an instant. While the black man rolls under the police car, the rest of the citizens run away in panic themselves... all except Joy.

Witnessing the God enjoy himself blasting lightning bolts and sprays of flames, Jobu Tupaki cracks her knuckles at her next play thing. Asriel wipes out waves of humans, their souls flowing away by the wind and the shockwaves from his chaos. All until there was one human left to play with.

Asriel Dreemurr: "Hmph. What's the matter, too scared to run? Ah, ha ha ha!"

Asriel calls down the widest magical lightning bolt and strikes it down upon Jobu Tupaki, but where her soul was shattered, a new one took it place, leaving her unfazed. This surprises Asriel, but the surprise is topped with Jobu Tupaki's telekinesis suddenly holds him in place.

Jobu Tupaki: "Nah. Too bored to pass off entertainment like this."

With a simple gesture, Asriel is sent careening down to the pavement, smashing the road apart on impact. Caught off-guard and disoriented, Asriel was vulnerable against her telekinesis sending him towards Jobu Tupaki. Getting real close, Jobu Tupaki attempts to flick Asriel on contact, but the God quickly teleported behind her.

Asriel Dreemurr: "Let's see if you can keep up!"

Asriel waves his hand, blasting torts of flames that send Jobu Tupaki flying. Keeping up with his rainbow trailing flight, Asriel forms his Chaos Saber, slashing through Jobu Tupaki's skin, and arm with a decisive slash. As her arm flies around in front of his wicked grin, however, Jobu Tupaki grabs the severed arm with her regenerated left arm, and turned it into a shotgun (as well as changing her entire outfit), much to Asriel's surprise.

With a swift blast, Asriel is sent cratering into an entire building. Jobu Tupaki laughs at Asriel's misfortune of the blow while falling down herself. Suddenly, a giant star-shaped star obliterates right through the building, heading for her in sheer force. Jobu Tupaki, however, was unimpressed, promptly striking it with her pinkie, tearing it apart into pieces.

As the pieces fly out of her vision, Jobu Tupaki sees Asriel charging up his Chaos Blaster, before it fires a rainbow beam that engulfs her being and soul. Even in the crater, Jobu Tupaki remains unfazed, donning a military outfit aiming her sniper rifle like nothing happened.

As the bullet firing attempts to aim for Asriel's head, time slows down as he puts on a devious smirk. Suddenly, Asriel speeds around the bullet and tackles Jobu Tupaki directly. His foot smothers Jobu Tupaki's face into the concrete as he slides her body across the road. Charging his fist with flames, Asriel engulfs Jobu Tupaki in an explosion of fire.

However, Jobu Tupaki suddenly dresses up like Azula and diverts the flames around, sending them right back into Asriel's face. He quickly forms a miniature sun in front of Jobu Tupaki's face, the energy building up within it bursts into a beam of harmful light. The dust clears, showcasing the destruction in the mini-sun's wake.

Jobu Tupaki: "Alright, that was interesting."

To Asriel's surprise, Jobu Tupaki appeared right behind him, with another spency new outfit and a katana blade. She dashes forward and slashes Asriel from behind, only for the attack to somehow miss with red words of MISS appear despite direct contact.

With his foe off-guard, Asriel pulls out his Chaos Saber once more with a wicked smile, and slashes Jobu Tupaki in half. However, the vertical cut across her body is morphed into gum she pulls out effortlessly. She quickly whips the gum, suddenly becoming a lasso that entraps Asriel. Through great force, Jobu Tupaki spins Asriel around in the air, but he soon gains control with pulling his whole body against the rope.

Asriel Dreemurr: "That's cute..."

Asriel flies upwards, with Jobu Tupaki trying to hoist him down but failing. Asriel grabs a hold of the rope and pulls with godly force, pulling Jobu Tupaki towards him, and punches her across the air. With a snap of his finger, Asriel summons Shocker Breaker bolts that strike down Jobu Tupaki as she hurdles through the air, chipping away at her soul, yet remaining unfazed by the attacks.

Asriel teleports to where he assumes Jobu Tupaki will be sent in the air, covering his yawn while he waits. Grabbing Jobu Tupaki by chokehold, Asriel effortlessly lifts her up, while the line FILE 1 SAVED shows up in the corner.

Asriel Dreemurr: "You know, human, this is getting tiresome. Two beings with godly power remaining unscathed from their fight? Embarrassing."

Jobu Tupaki couldn't help but agree with the unfortunate sentiment. What was such an exhilarating bout turned into more meaningless action slop.

Jobu Tupaki: "You know what? You're right. But I know how to rectify that."

She lifts her finger and taps Asriel's forehead. Suddenly, Asriel's mind is brought into a trance, as it soars across the multiverse through different versions of himself. His souls ache from the overwhelming mental attack, keeping hold of his mind through his determination even when his vision cracks between timelines.

From the shock, Asriel's consciousness is sent to the Growth Spurt AU, his body slamming into the wall. His mind is overloaded with information and pain, leaving Asriel disorientated in his "new" surroundings. Looking to his left, he sees Frisk, the human he first defeated back in the Underground, casually sitting on the couch, startling the prince.

Frisk: *You calmly ask Asriel if he's alright.

Asriel frantically summons his Chaos Saber, except he only had enough magic to form a dagger to his annoyance. Getting up, he struggles to comprehend what Jobu Tupaki did to him. However, the front door opens, Joy Wang awkwardly fiddling her fingers coming in.

Joy Wang: "Hello? Are you Asriel?"

Seeing his opponent in this augmented reality, Asriel wasted no time in attacking her, holding her by the collar of her shirt.

Asriel Dreemurr: "What have you done to me, you wretched human!?"

Frisk: *You call out to Asriel to calm down.

Joy was scared, feeling so helpless against a BOSS Monster. However, her distressed face suddenly turns into cold apathy, as if Jobu Tupaki just logged into her mind.

Jobu Tupaki: "Well, I thought that would've killed your mind for good. You Monsters really are something."

Jobu Tupaki strikes her hand into Asriel's chest, the lights of the house begin to flicker from her immense power. Asriel can feel his very soul at risk, the atoms of his body beginning to morph. However, his determination pushes through keeping him together, mustering enough strength to slit her throat with the Chaos Saber dagger. From the blow, Jobu Tupaki launches him crashing into the wall.

With plant magic manifesting from his sleeves, Asriel quickly shoots vines and penetrates through Jobu Tupaki's body. However, she was quick to grip the vines and pull Asriel closer, delivering a punch that sends his mind to another timeline.

Coming to, Asriel finds himself back as his kid self. Comforting, but all the more confusing once realizing he's back in the underground. Seeing Undyne, Papyrus, Sans, and Frisk playing in the heat of battle, Asriel grows a softer heart of comfort, likely due to having a soul again, or rather gaining the memories of this timeline (the chicken or the egg, take your pick).

However, that comes crashing down as his "friends" are whisked away from Jobu Tupaki's arrival. She wields a katana blade, aiming it for the child's heart.

Kid Asriel (get it?): "Whu- what sort of power is this, human!?"

Jobu Tupaki: "Just another meaningless strain on the infinite timelines..."

She sprints right for the child prince's heart. Panicking, Asriel musters his magic and forms a large Chaos Saber, perfectly parrying the katana blade.

Kid Asriel: "Hey, how come I form a big sword as a kid in this timeline, but not one as an adult in the other!?"

Jobu Tupaki: "Oh, like it matters when I can kill you!"

Her overwhelming strength pushed Asriel further down into the ground. However, he quickly forms a second Chaos Saber, giving him enough strength to break the katana. Gaining the upperhand, Asriel follows up with double sword slash beams, heading to slice through Jobu Tupaki. However, the slashes stop by her hands, as if she commanded them.

Furious, Asriel dashes and attacks the beams, pushing them just far enough to attack Jobu Tupaki, but she's already prepared with a counterattack. Jobu Tupaki morphs the slashes into a shield she wields, tackling Asriel with full force, hurting his head on a tree.

Coming to, Asriel awakens in another timeline, back as Flowey, and a crudely drawn one at that.

Flowey (Sr Pelo): "What!? No, not my progress!"

A step into the black darkness, Jobu Tupaki now towers over Flowey, slightly amused.

Jobu Tupaki: "This was imminent, Flowey..."

Flowey felt fear, worried what she will do to him. However, she accidently kicks right into Frisk, who screams in pain. Caught off by this, Jobu Tupaki loses her composure briefly, trying to resume her torment on Flowey, but then, a voice comes in...

Knight Knight: "WHO TOUCHED THE CHILD!!?"

The two were surprised by the monster knight coming out of nowhere and with an army no less. Flowey quickly points a vine like a finger at Jobu Tupaki, who shows disdain towards the snitch. Without a moment's notice, she is bombarded with slaps and punches by the monsters, leaving Flowey to quickly escape by comedically running away on suddenly sprouted legs. However, he stops in mid place, hearing monster rage be replaced with guns cocking.

Jobu Tupaki: "Where are you going?"

The monsters overwhelming Jobu Tupaki have all turned into turrets, aiming right for Flowey.

Flowey: "AHHH!!! No, no, please! Please-!"

Suddenly, FILE 1 LOADED appears on screen, reverting the battle from when he last saved, which was his godly might chokeholding Jobu Tupaki.

Asriel Dreemurr: "...spare me the time!"

He sports a cocky grin, looking at Jobu Tupaki's surprised face, processing that all her work suddenly became undone. However, Asriel's mind remained connected to those alternate timelines, his psyche fracturing from each reality. The pain was overwhelming his senses, to the point he vomits whatever the hell he's been eating.

Jobu Tupaki: "What's the matter? Is the multiverse a little much for the God?"

Jobu Tupaki triumphantly breaks free of the chokehold, and skillfully strikes Asriel's chest with a three finger point, disorienting his atoms as he's sent flying. Regaining his composure, Asriel waves his hand and turns Jobu Tupaki's soul blue, and telekinetically shifts her gravity to be falling towards him. He sets up numerous bone pillars, all Jobu Tupaki crash into, giving her immense of damage and KARMA.

She manipulates her soul into becoming red again, allowing her to reverse the effects Asriel inflicted upon it. Following up, Jobu Tupaki shifts the entire city block, entrapping Asriel in a skywalk between university buildings. With a snap of her fingers, two explosions detonate and cause the two buildings to topple over and crash into eachother, with Asriel in between.

However, Asriel effortlessly pushed away the buildings within microseconds, scoffing in slight annoyance. Conjuring a dark cloud, Asriel rains down flames and magma upon the city block. The heat burns her skin and the fumes overwhelms her senses, leaving Jobu Tupaki little wiggle room to survive. With little options at hand, she plunges her hands into the magma, morphing it into glacier ice.

The ice spreads over the battlefield at such a rapid pace to where it catches Asriel mid-flight. While it did catch him off-guard, Asriel effortlessly breaks out of the ice. Seeing his opponent strut up to him, Asriel commands the cracks in the glacier, forming spikes intent on piercing through the human's body and soul.

Jobu Tupaki morphs a laser rifle out of thin air, blasting through the ice with minimal effort. The laser even pierces through Asriel's arm, though the hole heals near-instantaneously. Frustrated, Asriel flies up in the air and dives straight down to shatter the glacier and send its pieces all over the place.

Jobu Tupaki: "My, my, you have such a temper."

Unfortunately, Jobu Tupaki appeared right behind Asriel. He was rather disappointed by her escape, feeling tiresome she's so randomly elusive. Instead of playing with his food, Asriel just stabs Jobu Tupaki in the chest with the Chaos Saber. However, Jobu Tupaki turned into a fake knife toy, the blade sinking into the hilt as she pushes it off her unscathed chest.

Jobu Tupaki: "Are you even trying anymore?"

Asriel wrathfully grabs her face and slams her into the ground, screaming at the top of his lungs. Suddenly, their consciousnesses were transported to the Inverted Fate AU, where Asriel's might grows stronger by the numberous human souls flowing in the background.

The increasing power slowly goes to Asriel's head, laughing like a madman, his black hair flaring up by his growing aura. He looks down at Jobu Tupaki, levitating over the wounded human who looks up in spite.

Asriel Dreemurr: "What's the matter? Is the multiverse a little much for you, human!? Hahahahahaha!"

With the wave of his hand, Asriel controls the numerous yellow souls, all spinning in a circle and blasting lasers. Jobu Tupaki is bombarded with lasers, trying to use her powers to divert most of the oncoming fire. Seeing an opening, she jumps through the barrage and attempts to strike Asriel down. However, Asriel teleports away in mocking fashion, laughing at the human struggle.

Extending his arm into the air, Asriel summons dozens, if not hundreds, of Gaster Blasters, shooting beams of light instantly attacking Jobu Tupaki. No matter how powerful the attacks were, however, she always replaces her shattered souls with another. With a tap of her fingers, all the Gaster Blasters turn into pancakes, falling on top of Asriel, whose face droops in apathetic annoyance, even when syrup spills on his head.

Jobu Tupaki, growing a smirk on her face, makes her move and dashes closer to Asriel. Performing a cartwheel, Jobu Tupaki evades any last second attempt attacks from the side and dropkicks Asriel in the face.

Jobu Tupaki: "You may beat me in this timeline, but in another - I! BEAT! YOU!"

The impact sends Asriel's consciousness into another timeline, one where he's become Omega Flowey. His screen glitches with his knowledge of the other timelines flashing, his mind overwhelmed comprehending them all. Seeing Jobu Tupaki cracking her knuckles waiting the fight, Flowey gets to work, shooting vines and pellets at her location, which she could avoid with almost complete ease.

Amidst the fight pattern, Flowey SAVES and LOADS, disorienting Jobu Tupaki's perception of time and getting hit by the vine attacks she could've sworn she avoided. With her trapped, Flowey wastes no time and with a twisted smile, he rains down nukes with his face. Jobu Tupaki does phases out of the vines through her powers, but the nukes were just fast enough to bomb her in time.

The smoke clears, and Jobu Tupaki is surrounded by pellets, all closing in on her slowly. Flowey laugh maniacally, his demented voice echoing in the empty black space.

Omega Flowey: "You really ARE an idiot!"

The pellets' speed drastically increase, but before they could even pierce her skin, Jobu Tupaki's telekinesis stopped their momentum in their tracks. Flowey's confident and mocking smirk drops in an instant, not even hesitating in blasting his mouth laser. However, Jobu Tupaki sends the pellets at alarming speeds, taking apart Omega Flowey's structure and nullifying the laser in the process.

The blow knocks his consciousness back to the destroyed city, mentally exhausted from all the massive amount of information of the other timelines so quickly. He grows impatient with the human's tricks, scowling at Jobu Tupaki, who changed her outfit for the 40th time this fight. Jobu Tupaki, however, is more bored than anything.

Jobu Tupaki: "And you, God of Hyperdeath, REALLY are a crybaby."

The insult hits Asriel harder than any other attack she landed on him. Rage fuels his face, stepping forth to attack, but the strain on his mind staggers him in place. So many thoughts in his mind, the prominent ones were some darker voices saying "Silence!", his kid voice sounding on the verge of tears "S-shut up!!", and the Floweys wanting to tell her to "KILL YOURSELF!!!", all before Asriel himself brings silence to his mind.

With his mind clear, Asriel looks at Jobu Tupaki with a fierce look in his eyes. He is still pissed Jobu Tupaki is uninterested in the situation, her stance loosening up.

Asriel Dreemurr: "My apologies for boring you, O HUMAN OF THE MULTIVERSE! I was focused on entertaining myself when you wanted that same entertainment. How about we fix that?"

With a snap of his fingers, Asriel releases an aura of darkness that consumes the horizon, putting Jobu Tupaki in another black void. Unamused, she assumed some of the same attacks will be popping up around her, standing on guard yet not going all out from her boredom. However, she would find herself surprised with the sudden appearance of the HYPERGONER.

The HYPERGONER laughs in Jobu Tupaki's face with a demented glare in their eyes, before consuming space and time all around her in its strongest attack. Jobu Tupaki can feel the power sucking her in despite her resistance, cracking a smirk in admiration of this attack. This promptly puts her fingers together and raises them to show hers.

Jobu Tupaki: "You give me your strongest weapon, it's only fair I give you mine."

Pulling her fingers apart, the Everything Bagel suddenly appears in this timeline, causing a major power fluctuation as it begins consuming everything. The HYPERGONER stopped attacking from the sight of the Everything Bagel, feeling its willpower dissipating almost instantaneously. It's dragged closer to the bagel before being swallowed from all timelines.

The bagel continues consuming any existence around it besides Jobu Tupaki, sucking in the black void itself and leaving Asriel to witness "the truth".

Asriel Dreemurr: "How!? How can a human have a weapon that power... -ful...? GRRRR!!"

From the sight of the bagel, Asriel's mind begins to crumble. Any arrogance, any ego, any enraging superiority as a God is torn apart by the message the Everything Bagel entraps Asriel in. His determination struggles to keep him from being dragged into the bagel.

Seeing this, Jobu Tupaki grows in anger, dashing towards the stubborn goat and punting him closer towards the bagel. Being much closer to it, the bagel's corruption grows stronger and wears down Asriel's determination, his mind clouded by panicking thoughts from other timelines. Jobu Tupaki grabs him by the throat and brings his face closer to the center.

Jobu Tupaki: "This is what we all are. NOTHING. There's no greater purpose, no afterlife, just pure nothing. You are no God, you are no prince. YOU. ARE. NOTHING."

Those words echo in Asriel's head, on top of the his vision diving deeper into the sight of the bagel's depths. Despite his determination keeping him alive, the Everything Bagel's influence torments his mind extensively, reaching across other timelines.

However, in one, Asriel's attention breaks away from the influence by a sudden RING on his cell phone. This is the Deltarune timeline, where Asriel is grown up and in college. He stares right into black graffiti on the college wall, its influence trying to pull him back in, but his damn phone keeps ringing. RING RING. RING RING.

Asriel grabs his phone from the pocket, saying it's from Kris, and accepts the call, putting it up to his ear.

Asriel Dreemurr: "Hey, Kris. Kinda busy at the-"

Asriel couldn't finish his sentence once he hears crying over the phone.

Asriel Dreemurr: "Hey, hey, hey... What's wrong?"

Kris: "I miss you, Azzy. I-I-I don't know what home is anymore. It-it... nothing's the same. Dad... and Mom split, and... It's difficult. But th- but the worst part, I- I don't even feel in control of myself anymore."

Asriel Dreemurr: "Well, I'm sorry I can't be there for you, but I can't just-"

Kris: "I'm not asking you to. I... just need someone I can talk with. Sometimes... I'd do something... I don't want to do. Just... I'd just do it anyway. From the fleeting moments of self-control, it... it gets taken away too soon. Like... Like I have no say in my life! Like I'm nothing!"

That line hits Asriel like a punch in the gut. Those haunting thoughts come flooding back, feeling the pain of Jobu Tupaki choking him flashing in his system, his breathing wheezing from the lapse of consistency.

Asriel's consciousness jumps back to the original timeline, trying to worm his way out of her grasp. Jobu Tupaki grabs a hold of Asriel's head, forcing it to stay in place so he can only see the bagel. Monster souls and even the human souls begin to be pulled from his body, his power dwindling after they get suck in one by one. But as his vision is overwhelmed by the "truth", his hearing sense puts better attention on Kris' voice.

Kris: "Azzy!"

Asriel Dreemurr: "Grrk! Heh... Sorry, Kris, had those thoughts myself. But it's okay. It's okay to have a little existentialism, perfectly natural for coming of age. I'm intending to major in psychology, so you can take my word for it."

Kris: "How... How do you get through it?"

Asriel struggles for words, wanting so bad to cheer Kris up. He hears faint sounds of command, drawing his attention to yet another timeline. The sounds come from Frisk, hitting the command of SAVE over and over for Asriel. Tearing up, Asriel begins to reevaluate his own existence.

These feelings, feelings he's been missing for so long... love, compassion, care, it's all flooding back to him.

Asriel Dreemurr: "I... seek help. From professionals, from family... from friends."

With those words, Asriel jumps back to the main timeline, the cracks in his psyche becoming refined reflections of his alternate selves, feeling a sense of achieving nirvana. He extends his arm out to the void, letting the souls be sucked into the bagel.

Jobu Tupaki: "Giving up already?"

Asriel Dreemurr: "Oh, on the contrary."

From the very center of the Everything Bagel, a light beams out. This light grows exponentially to eclipsing the bagel, revealing as the HYPERGONER powered up by the souls in a rainbow spectrum. Within its sheer power, the HYPERGONER eats the Everything Bagel in a single bite, the black hole ironically being sucked into the maw of the timeline consumer.

Jobu Tupaki was in absolute shock, witnessing her philosophic embodiment be destroyed in front of her. Suddenly, her position of choking Asriel is replaced with a giant hand holding her entire body in its grasp in an instant. Her environment has reverted back to the black void, the hand bringing her closer to the God of Hyperdeath's true form coming out of the shadows.

Asriel Dreemurr: "For such an infinite nihilist, you sure had the power and guts to piss off a God, JOY."

Jobu Tupaki struggles to escape Asriel's grasp, though she manages to loosen her left arm out. She tries to use her powers to turn the tides, but the HYPERGONER surprises her with another trick. Once it starts sucking again, her arm is pulled towards its vortex. As if the amputation from the Chaos Saber has been reinstated across infinity, her arm is pulled off her body and consumed into the grow light of the HYPERGONER.

The light from the HYPERGONER keeps growing, destabilizing its structure as the light becomes overwhelming. Grabbing Joy with his other hand, Asriel begins to plan his killing blow.

Asriel Dreemurr: "Don't worry about your donut. You can still escape this hell... but not on your own merits!"

As he laughs maniacally, the light bursts like a nuclear explosion, with Asriel forcing Joy to take the full front of the blast. The scorching light not only inflicts pain on her body and soul, but most importantly her mind as well, with her consciousness visibly glitching out and tearing it apart.

Asriel steps up the already bleak execution with his godly power charging within his palms. In a great power move, Asriel blasts Joy in a rainbow coloured beam piercing through the already deadly light, with the added visual flair of all of Joy's infinite variants being blasted one by one. Her infinite and demented screams die out along with the beam and blast as her bodies disintegrate and the screen fades into white.

What remains of Asriel after the fight was a flowerbed, on his kid self lies in. The monster souls float down from the air as he stares with content. However, as the camera pans down, it's revealed Asriel is fiddling with Joy's remaining soul, gaining the ability to morph particles to turn it into a monster soul for him.

Boomstick: "I guess that's what you call a Hyperdeath."

Wiz: "This was extortionary. Both had great lengths of reality bending influence that threatened their respective multiverses. Trying to pick who had the greatest of advantages came down to 5 categories."

Every Hope & Every Dream breakdown
POWER

Boomstick: "As per usual. And in terms of power, Asriel had it in spades. Not to say Joy didn't have enough, but it's hard to determine what counts as her power. Her best feat was forming the Everything Bagel, but even then, it's not straight-forward."

Wiz: "Technically, this was done by, well, putting everything on a bagel, just like how putting excessive weight into a small object can form a black hole. But even if she was equivalent to the bagel, Asriel still has her beat."

Boomstick: "Omega Flowey with 6 human souls could erase the player's entire timeline. With the equivalent of a 7th, Asriel was analyzed to have infinite power. And yet, during that phase of the fight, he was holding back."

Wiz: "Same goes for speed. Putting everything on a bagel and travelling across the infinite multiverse would require Joy to be moving at an immeasurable speed, but so could Frisk escaping the HYPERGONER. However, that speed still wasn't enough to keep up with Asriel, as any attempt to harm him would just miss."

Boomstick: "I mean, he's the only character not named Sans to move... AT ALL in his boss fight, constantly flying around the battlegrounds until it's his turn."

ABILITIES

Wiz: "But despite his greater power, abilities were another story. Asriel would have more abilities, thanks to absorbing most of the monsters, and had plenty of unique abilities such as Karma and SAVE/LOAD Jobu Tupaki could not acount for."

Boomstick: "Plus, his ability to fly and teleport, not just through dimensions, allowed him plenty of mobility and made his speed advantage more apparent. However, Joy's matter manipulation by itself was versatile enough to counter most of the God's attacks."

Wiz: "Morphing any particle in existence meant she could just counter all of Asriel's attacks in any fashion - nullification, redirection, turning it into a weapon against him, imagination is the limit."

Boomstick: "There's also the matter of how their attacks work. Asriel's attacks are more focused on harming the soul, and Joy's leans towards mental strains, with few factors going vice versa. There are monsters able to play with the mind, such as Gerson preventing anyone from harming him in his shop, and Undyne making a letter that Frisk is unable to drop."

Wiz: "And the world of Undertale acknowledges itself as a game, with Flowey able to see every monster and their interactions as text boxes and numbers like code. Being capable to add personal ads on Craigslist onto the Everything Bagel meant Joy could manipulate Asriel's own existence on a conceptual level in any way she pleases."

Boomstick: "With so much at play here, and plenty of tidbits favouring either side, it's safe to call the category a draw."

INTELLIGENCE

Boomstick: "Now, intelligence is where Joy gets the upperhand. Asriel is certainly ingenious, able to play people like fiddles and have remarkable skill in combat, but on its own, his knowledge is limited."

Wiz: "Flowey was a conniving genius because he has literally gone through EVERYTHING to do in the Underground, all pacifist and genocide runs thanks to SAVE and LOAD. When meeting Frisk for the first time, he was quickly defeated by Toriel due to his unpreparedness."

Boomstick: "But if that didn't make him limited in intellect, comparing to Jobu Tupaki certainly will. Existing across the infinite multiverse at once, Joy would at the very least know how the game of Undertale works, by playing the game or being in the game herself in separate timelines."

Wiz: "Plus, she would be knowledgeable of every martial arts, much like how other Alphaverse veterans learn skill through Verse Jumping, bringing an edge of skill on her part of combat."

SURVIVABILITY

Boomstick: "But none of these abilities nor skills would matter if they didn't stagger the opponent's survivability. These two's power threatened infinity itself, and putting them down would be no small feat."

Wiz: "Being tied to infinite versions of herself, Jobu Tupaki can just transfer any damage or fatal wounds to those, or just transmute the blows themselves into, well, anything she wants, just like the rest of the particles."

Boomstick: "However, Asriel's own immortality is rather proactive, scaling to Frisk's peak Determination of regenerating their soul. Sure, Undyne herself couldn't live off on Determination for even an hour, but she only had one monster soul to burn through. With nearly all the monster souls and the 6 human souls, Asriel could last through a lot."

Wiz: "True, it still sounds limited compared to Jobu Tupaki's infinite selves, but when the God of Hyperdeath's simple jokes are as infinite in scope, she actually would run out. Plus, Asriel's own defense is as infinite as his strength, so even harming him is barely out of reach. Asriel takes the lead in survivability."

TRUMP CARDS

Boomstick: "But, boy, do they have some nasty trump cards! Obviously, nothing in Joy's disposal comes close to topping the Everything Bagel and its existence erasure. Asriel did have the HYPERGONER which could erase an entire timeline, but looking at both, their statistics in their properties are inversed."

Wiz: "While the HYPERGONER could erase a single timeline, people who came close to the Everything Bagel got erased across ALL their infinite selves. However, while it has the means to erase the entire multiverse, its presence alone could not consume Everything Everywhere All At Once, ironically enough. The HYPERGONER, on the other hand, could erase the entire timeline in seconds, so it really came down to which was stronger - the bagel's influence or Asriel's Determination."

Boomstick: "The bagel certainly has swayed people to Jobu Tupaki's side, but it's not perfect. As much as Evelyn gave into the bagel, she still found away to escape it, clinging onto what stupid mistake her husband was making at the moment, only to find the very will to keep pushing forward."

Wiz: "Determination in Undertale is the willpower to change fate itself, which was not only proven by Undyne and Frisk outright refusing to die, but especially with SAVE and LOAD. Rather than let the story end by being killed by Sans for the 100th time in a row, SAVE and LOAD allows Determination users to rewind time, something Joy would have no counter for."

Boomstick: "Lastly, Determination itself literally counters Jobu Tupaki entirely. It's why Determination being proactive is an advantage, because it actively pushes Asriel to keep going, even if there are doubts in his mind. Meanwhile, her connection to the infinite multiverse has destroyed any joy in her life. She idolizes the Everything Bagel itself because it offers her the only escape from this hell - death."

Every Hope & Every Dream breakdown - Aftermath

Wiz: "Jobu Tupaki's nigh-omniscience and versatile abilities could arguably bring Asriel to his knees, but the God of Hyperdeath's sheer willpower, superior attacks, and greater power gave Joy the sweet release she wanted for so long."

Boomstick: "Man, I don't feel like joking about existentialism. The pain, the misery, the agony every human being goes through in such thoughts... it's more than enough to get my goat!"

Wiz: "The winner is Asriel Dreemurr."
