Asagi was a character created to be the main character of the game Makai Wars with her appearing in the game's spiritual prequel, Makai Kingdom: Chronicles of the Sacred Tome, however, after the game was announced, it would be delayed and eventually disappear, never to be heard from again.
Being aware of her existence as a video game character, Asagi decided to travel to other games developed by her developer, Nippon Ichi Software, and decided to conquer them, defeating their heroes and becoming the main character of their games which she would rename into being Makai Wars, however, Asagi would always fail at this task.
At some point, Asagi would end up travelling to the Double Illusion Netherworld, accidentally creating a large number of clones of herself, all with different personalities. It is unclear which Asagi is the original (outside of the more out-there clones).
