Description[]
“ | Even the lowliest pieces on the chess board have their role to fill. Which of these naive soldiers will come out the unsung hero or go down like the dream that gave them a purpose? | „ |
Interlude[]
(* Wiz & Boomstick - Brandon Yates*)
Wiz: For every conflict, there is a hero. Someone to swoop in and save the day for the loving onlookers to admire and seek the protection of.
Boomstick: But for every glorious, good-looking Superman in a bright cape, there's a nobody that started from the bottom that ended up being the true heroes to everyone's surprise, even if some... strings had to be pulled.
Wiz: Like Armin Arlert, the colossal super soldier of the Survey Corps from Attack on Titan.
Boomstick: And Suzaku Kururugi, the White Knight of the Britannian army from Code Geass. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!
Armin flies into Death Battle[]
(*Three Dimensional Maneuver - Attack on Titan*)
Wiz: As dictated by the food chain integral to life on Earth, for every prey, there must be a predator. Grass eaten by rabbits, rabbits snatched by hawks, hawks hunted by humans. For millennia, since their evolution from their primate ancestors, humanity has been the dominant species on the food chain amidst some of the most apex predators put on the planet. But what of humanity itself had a natural predator?
Boomstick: Well if you're living in the world of Attack on Titan- firstly, good fucking luck staying alive- second, that's exactly the reality those poor souls live in.
Wiz: For many, MANY years, humanity has lived in fear of the menace known as Titans- enormous disfigured monstrosities that feast on humans. To keep them at bay, the remaining humans erected a series of walls big and thick enough that the Titans could never penetrate them... why are you looking at me like that?
Boomstick: Ehehehehehehe! Anywho, the walls were split into three segments- Wall Maria, Wall Rosa and Wall Sina, and the wealthiest and most elite reside in the latter one, while all those raggy old peasants are stuck in Wall Maria, the outermost wall.
Wiz: Whether to expand where the human race can live free of the fear of the Titan menace or just to get a free ticket into the safer inner walls, the Survey Corps were formed in order to fend off the Titan threat. You may already be familiar with members such as Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman, but along with those two is a far meeker but far more ambitious young lad that joined them in the squad. His name is Armin Arlert.
Boomstick: Ever since his childhood, Armin wanted to see the world beyond the walls, studying what he could about the outside world to satiate his curiosity, which in turn lead to him getting the shit kicked out of him by the other kids in the walls.
Wiz: They branded him a heretic and a freak for his unusual interest and due to his pacifistic nature, Armin endured the torment, until he was saved by his future best friend, Eren Yeager. The two would talk all day about seeing the world and joining the Survey Corps alongside Mikasa, until one day, tragedy struck.
Boomstick: And by "tragedy", we mean "the foot of a 60 foot tall unit of a Titan that kicked a hole straight into the Wall Maria and let a bunch of Titans loose into the villages inside". Ain't that a shitty Tuesday?
Wiz: Hundreds were trampled or eaten by the Titans, many soldiers gave their lives in vein to keep the Titans at bay or were forced to flee with the survivors, and Armin and his friends were forced to retreat into the inner walls- orphaned and alone, with only the three of them as the closest thing left they could call "family". Eren vowed revenge, Mikasa followed his example and Armin, not wanting to sit by as the threat of the Titans grew, joined the Survey Corps alongside his childhood friends.
Boomstick: The Survey Corps where uh... how do I say this- oh that's right, brutal! Day in and day out, the recruits were pushed to their limits both physically and mentally from strenuous training and the verbal beratement from both their commanding officers and even each other.
Wiz: Despite being physically weaker than many of his colleagues and even being told by Eren his strengths hardly lied in his physical stature, Armin endured and pushed himself to be the biggest asset to the Survey Corps he could.
Boomstick: As a Survey Corps member, Armin's most important tool is the Vertical Maneuverability Equipment- though you can just call it a VME for short. The VME is a pair of grappling hooks attached to a soldier's waist that use gas propulsion and grappling hooks to kamikaze their asses all across the place at speeds that should definitely be making them vomit their guts out.
Wiz: And getting tugged by the waist by something going that fast should definitely be resulting in a dislocated hip or two but I guess whatever helps them avoid getting eaten. Probably helps as well soldiers on Armin's level such as Levi Ackerman are quick enough to react to and evade gunfire, which certainly helps with keeping his bearings at such ludicrous speeds.
Boomstick: They also come equipped with handles designed to lock into a series of ultrahard steel blades sheathed in the equipment that are sharp enough to slice titan flesh apart like jelly, and should the blades break he can unclip them from the hilt and just equip another pair, or even just shoot that sucker straight at an enemy.
(*Before Lights Out - Attack on Titan*)
Wiz: Unfortunately Armin was far from the most physically fit for the job, frequently missing top ranks in the Corps and even being looked down on by some of his piers because of this.
Boomstick: Hell, even Eren wondered why he would throw himself at the front lines like that when he was so weak compared to almost everyone else.
Wiz: Armin himself would even be worried he wasn't useful to the Corps because of this, though his drive to protect those he cared about was the carrot on the stick he needed to keep him going.
Boomstick: He even made a couple friends in his time in the army, like Reiner, Bertolt and his future love interest Annie. Things seemed to be going smoothly for him.
Wiz: Well until their first mission battling the Titans ended with an almost unreasonable amount of lives being lost and Armin watching Eren get eaten right in front of him.
Boomstick: Oh... eh, I'm sure he'll be fine right?
Wiz: Right you are!
Boomstick: Wait I was joking wha-
Wiz: Turns out, Eren had the ability to turn into a Titan all along, which... caused some troubles for an army literally dedicated to eradicating Titans, but luckily Armin and Mikasa stood by him, and here was where Armin got to show what made him special amongst the Survey Corps' ranks.
Boomstick: No, not some special power he had, but rather, his big ass brain. Yeah you wouldn't think it but this little pipsqueak's a genius strategist.
Wiz: Not only was he able to convince his commanding officers to spare Eren by citing the uses having a Titan on your side could have to the army, he's a master at coming up with plans of attacks, often being able to wipe out Titans with only a handful of soldiers by his side by playing his cards properly, like in their first battle where the clever use of rafters and some decoys helped him and some fellow trainees slay seven Titans- no small feat when one Titan could easily have turned that all of those soldiers into lunch.
Boomstick: Eventually, he even deduced who and where the Titans that caused the fall of Wall Maria were- the Colossal, Armoured and Female Titans. Just a shame they uh... y'know, were actually his friends.
(*Zelgius the Brave - Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn*)
Wiz: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh, turns out Eren wasn't the only one with the ability to shift into a Titan. Bertolt, Reiner and Annie also possessed this ability, posing as spies in the Survey Corps and... inadvertently causing the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands in the process.
Pop-Up: Bertolt, Reiner and Annie were secretly spies for the nation of Marley, who brought the fall of Wall Maria in order to lure out and capture the Founding Titan.
Boomstick: Sooooooo definitely not the most pleasant thing to be uncovering, huh?
Wiz: Well, still better than most of the things I've discovered as a man of science.
Boomstick: What, like that Santa doesn't exist?
Wiz: Wha-no Boomstick, don't be childish!
Boomstick: ...
Wiz: ...*whimper*
Boomstick: Well Armin would need a bit more than an oversized box cutter and a bungee cord to beat a 60m behemoth or an armour plated juggernaut, so he later equipped himself with the Thunder Spears!
Wiz: The Thunder Spear is effectively a handheld missile, designed to blast apart the toughest of Titan hide where their swords would fail them.
Boomstick: He may only be able to carry eight at a time but baby lemme tell ya, when those things go off they won't be very "titanic" for much longer. Well unless we're talking the titanic mess that'll get left behind.
Wiz: Especially impressive when the Armoured Titan could rugby tackle right through Wall Maria like it wasn't even there- a feat we've previously determined would require about 18 tons of TNT to pull off.
Pop-Up: As seen in Blake vs Mikasa.
Boomstick: And all Armin needs is a couple of these things and the only thing the Armoured Titan is busting through are the Heaven gates. And just think- this isn't even the most explosive power at his disposal.
Wiz: Right, eventually Armin, Eren and Mikasa, along with their fellow scouts would confront the titans responsible for breaking through Wall Maria and massacring the people of the home they sought to free from them- Shiganshina District.
Boomstick: Though they were successfully able to beat the Armoured Titan and rip that asshole Bertolt out of the Colossal Titan, it took many sacrifices to do it, including Armin.
Wiz: Burnt to a crisp and on the verge of death, Eren and fellow soldier Levi saved his life with a special serum that granted Armin the ability to shift into a Titan himself, to which he uh... ate Bertolt upon awakening this power.
Boomstick: Damn, not even any seasoning or anything?
Wiz: What the fuck is wrong with you- anyways, in doing this, Armin gained Bertolt's powers and even his memories. He didn't just become any by the numbers Titan- he became the Colossal Titan itself.
(*Shingeki no Kyojin - Attack on Titan*)
Boomstick: And if you thought the Thunder Spears were a beast, then ooohohoho boy you ain't seen nothing yet.
Wiz: Standing at a size that dwarves nearly all other Titans at 60 metres tall, the Colossal Titan brings destruction nearly anywhere it goes, possessing impossible strength and the ability to produce a deadly heat wave that can fry nearly anything that gets close to it to a crisp.
Boomstick: Hell, even just the simple act of transforming into this thing causes an explosion that could turn a whole village into a stain on the floor and causes massive craters.
Wiz: Plus, Armin with this power even gains a healing factor that allowed him to recover from his whole body being burnt down to the bone. Pretty convenient when one of the requirements for transforming into a Titan is... well, drawing blood.
Pop-Up: At a low enough altitude, a bolt of lightning will strike where Armin is to transport him to the height at which he is located in the Titan's body, as otherwise the Titan's body would end up forming right into the ground.
Boomstick: Hell he doesn't even need to turn into the full body. Titan shifters have made incomplete bodies before, which still make for solid shields or decoys.
Wiz: Unfortunately Armin can't sustain the Colossal Titan body for too long or it'll collapse and force him out of the back of the neck he's located in when transforming, which is also the biggest weak point that a Titan needs to watch out for.
Boomstick: And more alarmingly, getting the Colossal Titan powers also slashed his life span so he only had about thirteen years left to live.
Wiz: The reason for this? Well...
Boomstick: Oh boy, here we go. Strap in ladies and gents, cuz this is where shit heads south faster than the world's least sanitary slip'n'slide.
Wiz: So as it turns out, Paradis Island- the setting the walls are located- is actually populated by a race known as the Subjects of Ymir, children of the originator of the Titans, Ymir Fritz.
Boomstick: Most of the people of the Paradis nation of Eldia were descendants of Ymir and thus inherited this power. All those Titans that were eating people and being put down by the Survey Corps? Yeah those weren't some new species or anything, those were Eldians. And due to a curse that came upon Ymir's death thirteen years after gaining her powers, those who awakened the power to become Titans were doomed to die in the same amount of time.
Wiz: The nation of Marley drove the Eldians back to Paradis Island during the Great Titan War, taking the very power of the Titans that made them so deadly and using it to drive the Eldians from their homeland until they had nowhere left to run but Paradis Island.
Boomstick: And as it turns out, Eren was granted the powers of the Founding Titan by the soul of Ymir, which let him not only communicate to all Subjects of Ymir through the Paths that connects them all but allowed him to control a bunch of Titans that were stuck inside the walls that kept them safe from the Titans. Man... gotta love that irony.
Pop-Up: Ymir served the Eldian king Fritz 2,000 years ago as an undyingly loyal servant, and upon her death, Fritz forced his children to eat her remains in order to preserve the Power of the Titans, which passed down through the following generations. Even millennia after her death, her soul remained loyal to the king and continued giving life to more Titans.
Wiz: As time went on and Eren's true intentions became more and more clear, Armin began feeling as those he couldn't understand Eren anymore, try as he might given how close the two were. Eventually, Eren straight up declared war on the outside world, claiming there would be nobody left but the people of Paradis Island.
Boomstick: And with the powers of the Founding Titan and his new cult- the Yeagerists, he would set off a cataclysmic event called the Rumbling to do just that.
Wiz: Eren discarded Armin and Mikasa like a broken tool that had served its purpose, even reaffirming Armin's greatest fear to his face as he assaulted him- that he was merely a weakling and a coward.
Boomstick: All his life, from the time he spent in the Survey Corps to now, Armin believed all he was ever good for was letting people down, and the trauma of watching so many of his friends die and taking so many innocent lives himself only made his resentment of himself worse.
Wiz: The dreams that kept Eren and Armin going- to see the outside world- in the end, only served to divide the two when reality clipped that dream's wings. The world was unfortunately a cruel and uncaring place.
Boomstick: Well, sort of. Eren used the Paths to talk with Armin one on one and as it turned out, he didn't hate Armin as much as he had thought. In truth, his plan was actually for the betterment of Paradis Island- by becoming the greatest threat to the known world, killing him would earn Armin and his fellow soldiers the respect of the other nations- not just becoming heroes but ending the threat of the Titans once and for all.
Wiz: Quite ironic, isn't it? All his life, people questioned Armin for why he was the way he is. He was tormented for his longing to see the outside world, his own friends questioned why he was so strung up on being on the front lines when he was so lacking in strength, even the love of his life wondered, when she was trapped in a crystal for four years after betraying her fellow soldiers, why Armin continued seeing her so many times.
Boomstick: The truth was, Armin's actions were always motivated by his unending optimism. His desire to see the outside world was never solely his own. Hell, it was what made him bond with Eren so much, discussing what the two could see beyond the Walls. Even when reality set in, Armin simply saw the best in people and wanted the best for them in return.
Wiz: Even as he aided in killing Eren to save the world, he wished the friend he once knew a peaceful farewell- choosing to remember the ambitious young man he once knew rather than the monster he had become. Now a diplomat for Paradis, Armin was finally able to realise his dream- not just to see the outside world, but bring it together and live in peace with his loved ones at last.
Armin: You see Eren? It's just like I told you.
Suzaku rides into Death Battle[]
(*Lack of Power for Wisdom - Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion*)
Wiz: In the year 2010, the world was plunged into chaos. The Holy Britannian Empire- one of the three leading superpowers- had conquered Japan, stripping its citizens of their rights and freedoms, and Japan itself of its identity, renaming it to Area 11.
Boomstick: They basically turned the now ruined Japan into their own personal sandbox, as the Britannians were given special privileges and all the luxuries they could muster while the Japanese who's rights they trampled on were stuck eating shit in the ghettos unless they sold themselves off to the Britannians.
Pop-Up: The Japanese were referred to as Elevens while under Britannian rule in reference to their nation's new name, despite the vast majority of Japanese despising being referred to as such.
Wiz: Hope was not all lost though. Many resistance movements began in the hopes of winning back Japan's rights and independence, even by the Japanese government themselves with what was left of their army from Britannia's invasion.
Boomstick: Many attempts were made to get Britannia out of Japan like a freeloading roommate, but some went about it in more innovative ways than others.
Wiz: One young man in particular joined the very Britannians he was trying to stop in the hopes of changing them from the inside out- spending as few lives as possible in the hopes of achieving the peace Japan had long since lost. This was Suzaku Kururugi.
Boomstick: Born as son to the Japanese Prime Minister, Genbu Kururugi, to say Suzaku's life was pretty screwed from the start would be a goddamn understatement.
Wiz: Genbu was a strong believer that fighting to the bitter end was preferable to surrender in times of war. Despite being a bit of a bratty kid, young Suzaku was mortified by the bloodshed caused by his father's refusal to lay down arms, ultimately culminating in Suzaku taking his life in order to end the senseless violence.
Boomstick: While the truth of Genbu's death was covered up, the trauma it left Suzaku with sure as hell wasn't as easy to hide. Well into his teenage and early adult life, this incident would haunt him and lead to a burning desire to atone for what he did.
Wiz: And spending so many years watching the Japanese be treated as lesser citizens by the Britannian army, instead of joining the resistances to battle the Britannian army, Suzaku instead decided to join the Britannian army himself.
Boomstick: Due to his hatred of unnecessary bloodshed, in his eyes, changing Britannia from within its own confines was the best solution that would cost the fewest lives, and just as well for Britannia because he was a top ace among their ranks.
Wiz: Suzaku is an exceptional soldier, trained both in kendo and martial arts, gifting him a natural nimbleness and sharp reflexes.
Boomstick: Probably explains why his favourite mode of transportation is a flying spin kick to the face, and how despite supposedly not being "superhuman", he can still do shit like outrun machine gun fire and kick a turret off a ceiling. Shit, what karate classes teach you to do that shit?
Wiz: While these are all well and good, a sword and some fancy kicks would hardly get him far in such a volatile war. That's where his most prized weapon of all comes into play- the Knightmare Frame.
Boomstick: See, the whole reason Britannia had invaded Japan in the first place was due to their reserves of a rare mineral called Sakuradite, which was used to power these bad boys, cuz even just a handful of Knightmare Frames soloed most of the Japanese army without breaking a sweat.
Wiz: Even basic Knightmare Frame models have exceptional athleticism for something so large and bulky, able to easily scale walls with the wheels on their feet or the grappling hooks that also let them snipe far away targets or bring enemy Frames in for a mean left hook. They're quick enough to evade gunfire and tough enough to withstand falling through several stories of a building without so much as a scratch. But Suzaku's Knightmare Frame in particular was a special one, for he was given Lancelot.
(*Decisive Battle - Neon Genesis Evangelion*)
Boomstick: Designed by the uh... let's just say "eccentric" Lloyd Asspull-
Wiz: Asplund.
Boomstick: Yeah, that- Lancelot is an absolute unit of a mech. It's way faster than most Knightmare Frames and can effortlessly tear them to shreds with its bare hands, though for a more civilised approach, it also comes equipped with a pair of swords.
Wiz: These Maser Vibration Swords use a combination of high oscillation rates and temperatures to not only turn the blades a deep crimson but also improve the blades' cutting ability to make slicing through Knightmare Frames even easier than before. He also comes prepared with four grappling hooks, arm mounted shields that can deflect an onslaught of gunfire and a powerful rifle that can easily clear through much of a mountain range.
Boomstick: He later even got an attachment to turn it into a Hadron Blaster, which can fire beams strong enough to split a cloud apart, so just imagine what it can do to a basic mech.
Wiz: Comparing the size of the blast against this mech's arm and using that to figure out the size of the cloud formation, this would require an energy of around 3 tons of TNT to pull off.
Boomstick: It's even got a couple nifty cameras called the Factsphere Sensor that gives Suzaku a broad range of view of his surroundings and even lets him detect the presence of enemy pilots.
Wiz: With Lancelot, Suzaku would prove himself to be an exceptional pilot and asset to the Britannian Empire, though many of his subordinates didn't quite seem to meet him eye to eye due to him being an Eleven.
Pop-Up: Suzaku's goal of changing Britannia from within also contributed to the ire towards him, as many viewed his ideals as naive and even rather contradictory due to his place in the army.
Boomstick: That was, until one day he got a chance encounter with a Britannian princess- Euphemia.
Wiz: After rescuing and spending time with her, Euphemia saw past Suzaku's race and looked at the chivalrous man he was, allowing him to climb the ranks and become her very own knight. All the while, Suzaku would also be allowed to attend school in between missions, settling in at Ashford Academy.
Boomstick: It was there he'd end up in the Student Council alongside his own childhood friend Lelouch Lamperouge, and a series of other colourful students that didn't seem to mind his background as an Eleven... and there was also Nina.
Wiz: All seemed to be going well, until the mysterious appearance of a vigilante challenging the Britannian forces who even murdered the Britannian prince Clovis- the masked terrorist Zero, and his army of Black Knights.
Boomstick: The Black Knights were a guerilla resistance group out to wrestle control on Japan from Britannia and give the nation back its independence, and with Zero's genius on their sides they managed to be a consistent threat to even the strongest of Britannian forces.
Wiz: Suzaku would end up being a consistent thorn in the Black Knights' side, almost always effortlessly wiping through their ranks and foiling Zero's plans. He'd eagerly jump to the front lines and put his own life at risk in order to stop them... maybe a little too eagerly.
Boomstick: Either way, Suzaku was soon managing to earn some actual respect from his piers and move his plan into motion as he went up the ranks.
Wiz: Until one faithful day, when tragedy struck.
Boomstick: And by "tragedy" I mean a bullet, and the one it struck was Euphemia's heart. Beginning to notice a trend here.
(*Sis Puella Magi - Puella Magi Madoka Magica*)
Wiz: Despite their massive difference in status, Suzaku came to realise he and Euphy loved each other dearly, so when Zero took her life after accidentally brainwashing her into killing innocent civilians-
Boomstick: How the fuck do you do that "accidentally"-
Wiz: It's a long story- Suzaku snapped. Despite his desire for peacefully achieving peace through as little bloodshed as possible, Suzaku wanted nothing more than to kill Zero and make him pay for what he did to Euphemia.
Boomstick: And he'd eventually get his revenge by turning Zero in to the emperor of Britannia, though it wasn't something he was happy about considering he discovered Zero's true identity to be none other than Lelouch himself. Bastard.
Wiz: See, he wasn't just the ordinary student Lelouch Lamperouge but in fact, he was the exiled Britannian prince Lelouch Vi Britannia, who wanted to use the Black Knights to enact revenge on his father for exiling him, allowing his mother to be murdered and crippling his sister Nunally- ultimately using the rebellion of others to fuel his own.
Boomstick: And to say Suzaku wasn't happy with all the lies Lelouch had been spouting to get this far would be an understatement. But even after having his memories of being Zero wiped, he'd still eventually return years later as Zero to renew the rebellion.
Wiz: And Suzaku would be more prepared than ever, gaining several new upgrades to the Lancelot, such as the aforementioned Hadron Blaster and a flight unit that allowed him to take to the skies with Lancelot.
Boomstick: Though he had one other weapon stashed away in the Lancelot's arsenal- one so deadly even he wasn't prepared to use it due to the threat it posed- the Filet-O-Fish!
Wiz: Oh you have got to be kiddi-*ahem*, the F.L.E.I.J.A is a tactical nuke capable of annihilating all matter caught within the blast radius, with the potential to end millions of lives in one simple pull of the trigger. Suzaku was hesitant to use such a dangerous weapon with the potential for so much damage.
Wiz: But unfortunately for him, Zero and basically every other poor sucker in the room, Lelouch had already made a move earlier on that unbeknownst to anyone at the time, would lead to absolute cataclysm.
Boomstick: Alright so long story short, Lelouch made a contract with a witch that gave him the powers of Geass- a magic eye power that differs between users but generally grants them to power to make their desires reality. In Lelouch's case, it would force anyone who made eye contact with him to do whatever he commanded, whether it be a one off request or something that affects a person their entire lifetime... you can see where this is going, right?
Wiz: During a situation in which Suzaku held Zero hostage and both them and several other soldiers were threatened with being killed by an onslaught of missiles, Lelouch gave Suzaku one simple command through the Geass- Live.
Boomstick: With this command, any time Suzaku is put in a life or death situation, his fight or flight response goes absolutely apeshit- almost always finding a way to narrowly avoid death or get the jump on his attacker. The command is so potent, it could outright beat a guy with the Geass power to see the goddamn future.
Pop-Up: Lelouch accidentally used his Geass on Euphemia when it mutated and, without him knowing at the time, made him unable to turn the Geass off, so when he made a sarcastic comment about ordering Euphemia to kill all the Japanese, his Geass hypnotised her into doing so without his say, forcing him to kill her to stop her murder spree.
Wiz: And during a decisive battle taking place over Tokyo, the command kicked in, and Suzaku pulled the trigger.
Boomstick: ...I think he got 'em.
(*Yuukyou Seishunka - Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion*)
Wiz: Suzaku was mortified. Millions of lives and a massive crater in his homeland, all by his hands. Yet in this moment, all Suzaku could really do... was laugh.
Boomstick: He became completely desensitised to the violence around him, even abandoning the belief that made him differ from Lelouch- that immoral means make the ends ultimately meaningless.
Wiz: Made all the worse by the effect the command had on him. Because of it, Suzaku effectively couldn't die- any attempts he made, the command wouldn't let him go through with it and even in battle, anything that could potentially end his life he'd involuntarily avoid being killed by.
Boomstick: The truth was, Suzaku wanted to die more than anything. The reason he kept throwing himself at the frontlines was because he wanted to be killed in battle, which in his mind was the only way to atone for murdering his father.
Wiz: And with this command, his atonement would never come. Although it wouldn't all be lost for long.
Boomstick: After being abandoned by the Black Knights for the lies he spun and stopping his parents' plans to create a world where death and lies cannot exist at the cost of free will and a bunch of other complicated crap, Lelouch would usurp his father's throne, and as his knight, Suzaku stood.
Wiz: Despite the bitter resentment he felt for Lelouch for killing the love of his life and seemingly feeling no remorse for the deaths of those around him, their end goals were still the same and they came to a mutual conclusion for how their crimes should be atoned for.
Boomstick: As Lelouch's Knight of One, Suzaku was given a new upgrade to Lancelot in the form of an all new model- Lancelot Albion. Instead of the Flight Unit, the Albion comes with full on energy wings that can rain down a shower of energy projectiles that completely tear apart any Knightmare Frames foolish enough to try and attack him, and his air mobility is so off the charts that simply moving makes him nearly invisible. He even gained another another rifle because one apparently didn't provide enough firepower. Not that you're gonna hear me complaining.
Wiz: After finishing off the last of Lelouch's enemies and taking leaders of the United Federation of Nations hostage, Lelouch would stage his final act- the Zero Requiem, in which Suzaku in Zero's guise, would stab Lelouch in front of thousands, killing him and ending the reign of terror of the deceitful emperor.
Boomstick: In doing so, Suzaku would no longer be able to live a normal life. He'd have to play the part of Zero from now until his end, but in doing so, he not only freed Japan from Britannia's rule but also became a hero to the people.
Wiz: In Lelouch and Suzaku's eyes, this was the greatest punishment both could have been dealt- Lelouch, who fought for a tomorrow with his sister, would be punished with death, while Suzaku, who wanted to die to atone for the lives he took, would be punished with life.
Boomstick: Even if Lelouch were to be remembered as a tyrant that only knew how to lie, Suzaku knew that Lelouch's lies weren't for his own benefit. They were all to move his pieces on an elaborate chess board- pushing his followers away to numb the pain of losing him, and giving the world peace through his demise.
Wiz: It's quite ironic, in a way. The man who sought to end the bloodshed through peaceful means from within, would ultimately gain that peace through bloodshed. Though it may have cost him more than he could ever want to lose and even required him to abandon his ideals along the way, he finally had that peace he longed for for so long.
Suzaku: This Geass... I do solemnly accept.
Ad Break[]
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities!
Boomstick: But first, you may not have to worry about a bunch of titans and mechs invading your online privacy, but today's sponsor can keep those pesky hackers away. Yes it's NordVPN!
(NordVPN ad)
Boomstick: But right now, it's time for a Death Battle!
Fight[]
Flying above the walls meant to keep the Titan menace at bay, we see the glistening golden Knightmare Frame scanning the secluded outermost walls for civilians or enemy soldiers. There's an eerie quietness, as a recent Titan attack has left the districts within Wall Maria devoid of any signs of life. We hear the young man piloting the mech inside respond to HQ, speaking with the creator of Lancelot, Lloyd Asplund.
Suzaku: Suzaku speaking. Doesn't appear to be anyone here. It's like a ghost town.
Lloyd: Well, still would be a good idea to stay wary of ambush. Places like these are practically gift wrapped for moments like that.
As the mech continues to make the rounds in the skies, someone shrouded in shadow can be seen looking up at the machine in the air in curiosity from the dark alleyways beneath.
???: Is that... a Titan?
As Suzaku is about to end his report to HQ and continue his mission, he notices something being picked up on his radar. It was so momentary he almost wanted to think he imagined it but being in war so long, he knew even if that were the case he couldn't simply dismiss it. Several shots show this mysterious individual running along the rooftops, to quickly to be recognised and by the time Suzaku turns around to see what it was, they're already gone.
Lloyd: Hm? Is something the matter there Suzaku?
Suzaku clenches the joysticks in Lancelot's cockpit in anticipation, as the threat he simply believed was just in his head was becoming more and more blatantly real.
Suzaku: Yeah... I think you may be right about an ambush.
As Suzaku says this, his shadowy stalker leaps out from behind Lancelot and pulls both his arms back to deliver a deathly dual sword swing straight to the back of Lancelot's neck. Suzaku instantly catches on to this and turns around quick enough to pull up a barrier with Lancelot's arm to block the incoming attack, where he gets a good look at his blond haired attacker- Armin.
Suzaku: Enemy resistance spotted!
Suzaku pushed Armin back, but before he can make his next move, Armin has already launched a pair of grappling hooks towards a lower part of their enormous arena and with a single blast of gas from the VME, he had already launched himself away from Suzaku faster than one could blink.
Suzaku: Hey, get back here!
Suzaku went after Armin in hot pursuit, as he darted around the alleys at lightning speeds to get Suzaku off his tail after his surprise attack failed. Suzaku moves Lancelot's hand out in front of him and aims his grappling hook at Armin, firing at him from far away as Armin bounces around the confined halls of the alleyway to avoid getting struck, occasionally even having to swat the grappling hook away with his swords whenever he was closest to getting struck. He attempts to shake Suzaku off by making a sharp turn around the corner where a darker pathway was.
Suzaku: Quit running, coward!
Something does emerge from the shady streets, but unfortunately for Suzaku it isn't Armin. He doesn't know what it is at first, only that it's likely not something good. It's a Thunder Spear, headed straight for him, which Suzaku responds with by erecting another shield to block the Thunder Spear and the resulting explosion. Though he's unharmed, in the time it takes for the smoke from the explosion to clear, he's already more than lost sight of where Armin has gone. He sees that Armin fired it not to actually attack him but just to keep him off his tail with a distraction that would guarantee his escape.
Lancelot's chest opens up as the Factsphere Sensor begins scanning the area to find where Armin went. The arena is so large he could quite literally be located anywhere, so Suzaku searches extensively, until out of nowhere, despite the clear weather above, a bolt of lightning strikes the alleys of a random district, which arouses enough suspicion for Suzaku to decide to check there.
Lloyd: I probably wouldn't go near that if I were you.
Suzaku: If that was the work of that terrorist, then that's the first place I should be checking.
Lloyd: Well it isn't on my conscious if this backfires, I hope you know that.
Suzaku doesn't listen to Lloyd's sarcasm and flies at near invisible speeds towards the location of the bolt. It's in a dark alley that Lancelot just barely fits in, as Suzaku makes the corner with both blades in hand, only to be shocked by what's in front of him.
Suzaku: What the hell?!
In front of him is what nearly appears to be a decaying corpse as big as the Lancelot itself despite only having a head and arm remaining. It begins to rapidly fall apart, as Suzaku struggles to even comprehend what it was, leaving himself wide open as Armin swings around the corner at blinding speeds with the VME from behind and lands atop the cockpit. He plunges his blades into the cockpit to anchor himself, just missing Suzaku's neck from inside, which catches Suzaku so off guard he nearly instinctively pulls on the joysticks with all his might to take Lancelot to the skies, attempting to get Armin off of him. Armin holds on for dear life, climbing atop the cockpit while miles away from the ground and aiming a Thunder Spear at the back of his neck with one hand while his other is still attached to the hilt of the sword so he doesn't fly right off.
Armin: I got you now!
He fires the Thunder Spear into the back of Lancelot's neck, as he releases both blades from the hilts, choosing to make an immediate escape without his blades than try to retrieve them and risk getting blown to pieces. He leaps off of Lancelot, pulling the string on the Thunder Spear and within seconds, it detonates.
Armin: Got it!
Armin thinks he's victorious but his look of triumph quickly fades when Lancelot begins tumbling out of the resulting cloud of smoke with him, hearing a scream accompany it.
Armin: Huh?!
Suzaku: GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!
While the back of the neck is visibly damages and sparks run across the Lancelot's body, it's still very clearly operational and Suzaku still very much alive.
Suzaku: HRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
An aggressive grunt can be heard in Lancelot's cockpit, as Suzaku pulls back on the joysticks and corrects Lancelot's aerial positioning, bringing it back upright and facing Armin. Lancelot's wings glow up, as a series of energy projectiles are fired out from them and shower the surroundings. Armin equips two more blades to his hilts and attempts to block it, but the projectiles easily shatter the blades and hit Armin head on, sending him careening even faster into one of the rooftops below. Suzaku descends upon where Armin landed, as he gets back up visibly wounded in multiple areas. Suzaku aims one of his rifles at Armin, telling him to stand down.
Suzaku: This is an order- surrender immediately or I will be forced to strike you down!
Armin: Ugh, c'mon Armin, think- there's gotta be something you can do here.
Thinking quickly, Armin gets an idea. Another bolt of lightning emerges and strikes him, as a giant steam cloud surrounds him and Suzaku from all sides and pours into every street, house and village in the district, completely obscuring Suzaku's view.
Suzaku: Dammit!
Suzaku tries scanning the area once more, but before the Factsphere Sensor is even fully activated again, Armin flies out of the steam, completely free of his previous wounds, latching his grappling hooks onto the houses behind Lancelot as the VME shoots out a powerful burst of gas that launches him straight into Lancelot fast enough to send the two careening through the houses behind despite the noticeable size and weight differences. As Lancelot reels from the hit, Armin fires more grappling hooks in the opposite direction and attempts to fly away, but Suzaku isn't having any of that.
Suzaku: Oh no you don't!
He fires a series of grappling hooks from Lancelot in Armin's direction, who dodges three of them at Mach speeds but the last one manages to hit where one of Armin's grappling hooks latched on and manages to dislodge it and throw Armin's momentum off entirely. Armin falls to the ground and tumbles across it at a literally breakneck pace but he uses this to his advantage, as he grabs his third Thunder Spear and fires it at the Lancelot while involuntarily rolling away from it, which Suzaku shoots at with his rifle, detonating it and sending another wave of smoke. Suzaku has his shields up and flies headfirst into the smoke to keep track of his target, as Armin continues flying away, realising Suzaku was catching onto his game plan.
Armin: An intelligent Titan?! Dammit!
He keeps darting down the main street of the district, as Suzaku rains down an unholy barrage of energy attacks from his wings and onslaught of more powerful shots from his Hadron Blaster. The camera swirls around in every direction, showing Armin making every imaginable maneuver to avoid getting shot down, sliding under horse carriages, leaping over stables and food stands, bouncing off the walls like a grasshopper, nearly running along the walls in defiance of gravity from the sheer speed at which he's going, processing everything he's trying to fly past while simultaneously trying to come up with the proper counterattack.
Armin: Okay, an intelligent Titan with stronger armour than the Armoured Titan. What can I do? Come on Armin, think of something!
Just then, Armin notices he's approaching the outer wall and gets an idea. He slides under a carriage sitting in the middle of the street and kicks it hard enough to send it hurdling towards the air, before twisting his body in the air to face towards Suzaku and grapple onto the houses he just passed by, halting his forward momentum and aiming straight for the carriage. He launches himself at it and lands on the carriage, aiming himself straight for the walls as Suzaku fires at the carriage with the Hadron Blaster. Armin latches onto the walls and flies towards it just in time a the Hadron Blaster obliterates the carriage like it wasn't even there, as Armin lands on the wall and ascends up it with the VME as the Hadron Blaster punches a hole into it.
Suzaku stops at the wall, as he looks up and immediately sees Armin flying straight back down at him, as the two clash their blades with one another and swing at each other, only for Armin to land on the flat of one of Lancelot's swords and aim two Thunder Spears right for its face, which both connect with the face and chest and detonate, the tail end of the explosion sending Armin back up as he leaps off of Lancelot, the direct force of the explosion sending Suzaku and his Knightmare Frame hurdling toward the ground. Armin lands a good distance away from where he buried Lancelot in the ground, exhausted but happy his plan worked out. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, as he hears an engine powering back on behind him. We see the Sakuradite inside Lancelot continue to feed it energy, as its eyes light through the cloud of dust kicked up from its abrupt landing.
Armin doesn't get much of a chance to respond with another plan of attack, as Lancelot hurdles toward him and grabs him, dragging the knuckles of the hand holding Armin along the ground before taking to the skies and pitches Armin like a baseball straight back into the skies, splitting a cloud with the force of his fling. Suzaku gives chase again, as Lancelot begins twisting its body around and spinning midair, preparing to deliver the coup de grace with a finishing attack. Armin, once done reeling from being flung far and fast enough to kill an ordinary man, thinks ahead and bites into his hand. Another bolt of lightning strikes him, as another cloud of steam engulfs him, which Suzaku haphazardly flies into. He delivers a spinning kick straight into the steam cloud, only to hit something far bigger denser than a human body. Another partially formed freak of nature stood before him, taking the hit in Armin's stead as its barely complete body falls to the ground and falls apart.
Before he can process what's going on, Armin grapples onto the underside of Lancelot and bites his hand once more. Another lightning bolt comes but this time, it wasn't for the sake of a transformation. The bolt instead strikes the Lancelot, as Suzaku is violently shaken about in the cockpit as red lights start blaring inside.
Lloyd: Oh my, bit of a jam you've got yourself in there, hm?
The lightning bolt struck the Lancelot while Armin was beneath it, as the machine short-circuits and begins falling straight for the ground, allowing Armin to swing back onto the cockpit and aim two more Thunder Spears at the back of the neck. Right as he's prepared to set them off though, he's taken by complete shock when a sword pierces through his back and out of his chest.
Armin: *Cough* What?!
He turns his head in disbelief as he sees Suzaku emerge from the cockpit to stab him with his sword.
Suzaku: I warned you.
Suzaku removes his sword from Armin's body, as he feels his body start to go limp and he falls off of Lancelot, with both hands letting go of their respective Thunder Spears which detonates mid-air well above both combatants. Suzaku quickly retreats back into the cockpit and closes it back up, rebooting the Lancelot's systems and right before hitting the ground, is able to get his mech back up and running, as Lancelot flies off just before making an abrupt landing. Armin with his quickly fading strength attempts to use the VME again and latches onto two buildings as he approaches the ground, but just as he flies toward Suzaku, he slashes one of the grappling hooks with one of his swords and Armin is send flying into a building, bouncing off of it and falling back to the floors beneath.
Though Armin's wounds are healing, he knows he's not in a good position to take Lancelot on- being down all but one Thunder Spear, losing one of his hooks and his swords barely being enough to fight Lancelot with by themselves. He thinks quickly and decides to go with an extremely risky plan but his only real hope in this scenario. He runs right for Lancelot, with a Thunder Spear in hand. He knows how Suzaku would respond to them already and that him simply holding it would put him on the defensive, so he takes his sword and releases the blade from its hilt, shooting it at Lancelot like a pistol aimed straight for Lancelot's eyes. Suzaku raises up a shield to block it, but that distraction, however small, was still exactly what he needed. Right as he fires it, he entangles Lancelot's foot with his remaining grappling hook on his left hip and with one pump of gas, he gets yoinked in Lancelot's direction and holds onto the grappling hook for dear life.
Armin: HraaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
As he flies toward Suzaku, he goes in to bite his hand once again, which Suzaku sees and knows exactly what he's doing.
Suzaku: Not this time!
Suzaku grabs one of his swords and in one clean motion, swings it vertically and slices Armin's left arm clean off. Armin has a look of pure shock on his face, hiding the fact that Suzaku fell hook, line and sinker for his plan, as in his right hand, hidden behind his back, was his final Thunder Spear. With what little strength he had left, he flung the Thunder Spear at Suzaku, who desperately tried to raise the shield on Lancelot's right arm up but the Thunder Spear managed to bury itself into the arm first, as Armin pulls the trigger while falling away from it. The Thunder Spear starts lighting up, indicating it was close to detonating.
Suzaku: Oh crap!
Suzaku decides to dislodge the arm from the Lancelot's body and elected to fly into the skies above instead as the Thunder Spear exploded and turned the detatched arm to scrap. Suzaku flies overhead watching the smoke emerge from the arm, as Lloyd chimes back in.
Lloyd: Oh great, do you have any idea how much it costs to make more of those?
Suzaku didn't pay him any mind and simply solemnly watched on, thinking the battle was over. Unfortunately, that was very far from the truth. As Armin fell to the ground, he closed his eyes and ran through some thoughts in his head.
Armin: Eren... Mikasa... Annie... I gave it my all... and I promise... I'll survive long enough to make it back... and do it again.
Suzaku can feel the Earth nearly trembling, as he looks up wondering what's causing this to happen. Sure enough, as Armin hits the ground beneath, a final bolt of lightning strikes where he lay, as a steam cloud and more alarmingly, a fireball explosion emerges so intense it engulfs not just the entire district, but the entire interior of the walls itself, forcing Suzaku to fly even higher in confusion for what was going on. He also notices a shadow being cast on the Lancelot, as he sees a giant hand, that looked as though it's skin was torn off beforehand, emerge from the steam attempting to grab Lancelot. Suzaku flies away even faster just before the hand closed on him, as Suzaku looks back when out of range to see emerging from the steam, something utterly horrifying.
Lloyd: Suzaku? Suzaku, what's the matter?!
Suzaku is left speechless and in a state of shock, as he sees an enormous disproportionate monster walking amidst the districts like a human walking through a doll house set. Armin became the Colossal Titan.
Lloyd: Oh... well, that doesn't appear to be very good.
Suzaku: What the hell is that thing?!
The enormous fleshy monster wastes no time stomping around the district in Suzaku's direction, as he finally snaps out of the shock and flies straight for the Colossal Titan. He rains down a barrage of energy attacks on the Colossal Titan but they simply bounce off of its hide as it lets out a monstrous bellow, reaching straight out for Suzaku with its freakishly long arm. Suzaku flies back out of its reach and zones in for the arm, flying around it while slashing it with his sword. He notices that the paltry wounds he is able to inflict on its ridiculous tough exterior is simply healing off with little issue, as it becomes increasingly clear his normal weaponry won't cut it against the Colossal Titan. He keeps firing and firing, and keeps evading its swinging enormous arms and becomes more and more desperate and even fearful as it becomes increasingly clear he can't do anything to it. He looks back up to see the Colossal Titan staring him down, the pipsqueak the Lancelot once towered over now looking at him as a human would stare down a rat.
Suzaku: There has to be some kind of weak point! THERE'S GOTTA BE SOMETHING!!!
Just as Suzaku screams this in desperation, one of his attacks hits the back of the Colossal Titan's neck, the one attack he seems to recoil even slightly from. Suzaku is taken aback but thinks quickly.
Suzaku: Is that...
Despite his doubts, he doesn't have time to hesitate. Suzaku flies straight for the back of its neck with sword in hand. As he closes in on the Titan, an enormous wave of heat is released from the Colossal Titan's body. It pushes back and even incinerates everything in its range, including Lancelot, yet Suzaku still flies into the intense heat wave to reach the back of its neck.
Lloyd: Suzaku, wait! Yo--l d-e t---ng to g-- --ose t- -h-- -----
His communications with HQ start cutting out, as do the cameras and several of Lancelot's other functions, as the only sounds Suzaku now hears are blaring alarms to accompany the red lights warning him to get the hell out of there, and his own intense screams. His skin nearly peels off from the heat and his nose and eventually, even eyes begin to bleed, the Lancelot's exterior and even control panel also starting to melt and deform from the sweltering heat. He refuses to back away, a grave mistake as the heat slowly and agonisingly kills him.
Suzaku: GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Suddenly, everything goes quiet. Suzaku is taken aback and almost thinks he's finally died, but in reality, it's moreso his consciousness is slipping away from him. He begins accepting his dying fate, finally able to feel death's sweet embrace.
???: --v-
At least, that's what he thinks. A voice begins speaking in his mind, one that clearly wasn't his or anyone at HQ's.
???: -IV-
It gets louder and louder in his head, as his consciousness fully slips away.
???: LIVE!!!!!
He finally realises who was shouting at him. It was Lelouch's Geass command. His consciousness faded, as control of his body was taken away by the command and he fell to a powerful hypnosis that did what he was refusing to do- he pulled back. Lancelot, now charred to a crisp and on its last legs, flew out of range of the heat wave and soared through the skies at lightning speeds.
Suzaku: Lelouch...
The Colossal Titan reaches to grab Suzaku as he makes his way to the clouds above.
Suzaku: Your wish...
The Colossal Titan splays his hand out...
Suzaku: Is my...
The Colossal Titan clenches its fist, catching Suzaku and holding him in his hand.
Suzaku: ... COMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!
From within the Colossal Titan's fist, Suzaku's screams can be heard, as he blasts the Titan's fingers apart with the Hadron Blaster, the blood in its hand flying everywhere like geysers were planted in his hand while the Titan roared in pain, until Lancelot broke free and flew beyond where the Colossal Titan. Suzaku prepared his final attack from several miles above ground level.
Suzaku: I have... TO LIVE!!!
With one press of a button, Suzaku fires the F.L.E.I.J.A. The nuke is fired straight for the ground, as the Colossal Titan grabs it in its hand in an attempt to crush it before it sets off. Unfortunately, this does not work, as the nuke goes off and starting from its hand, creates an enormous blast that expands for thousands upon thousands of metres, engulfing the entire Colossal Titan, the walls and basically anything else he could possibly see from way up in the clouds. The Colossal Titan's roars eventually disappear into a young man's dying screams, as its body breaks down and leaves only Armin, who succumbs to the blast himself.
Colossal Titan: GRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
Armin: -aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The blast finally dissipates, as all that is left is a crater in the Earth, and an absolutely battered mech and mech pilot, the latter trying to process what he even just witnessed, before eventually just lying back in his cockpit seat and breathing a sigh of exhausted relief that it was finally all over, too tired to have the energy to continue thinking about what had transpired.

(*Waga Routashi Aku no Hana - Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2*)
Announcer: K.O!!!
Boomstick: Welcome to Death Battle's annual magic show! For our first trick, we will make a giant skinless naked man disappear... along with nearly all the land around him.
Wiz: This was a rather interesting battle to break down, as both had several means of easily swinging the battle in their favour thanks to some extremely destructive tools in their arsenal.
Boomstick: Let's just get the small stuff out of the way right now- between just Armin and the Lancelot, Armin was pretty outclassed in nearly every department.
Wiz: Both were easily able to react to gunfire, but Lancelot wasn't nearly as reliant on the environment to make the most of his mobility, nor was it nearly as easy to knock him out of the air when he was relying on a large pair of energy wings from a strong metal frame, while Armin's grappling hooks weren't made from nearly as strong a material and could be easily severed.
Pop-Up: Lancelot, Albion especially, regularly managed to move too quick for those with similar reaction times to even perceive, let alone keep up with, so it's likely he was even faster than a simple bullet timer.
Boomstick: Armin had six times the firepower Suzaku had but that was only with the Thunder Spears, which were way more limited in range and utility than Lancelot's abundance of ranged options from his rifles, to his grappling hooks, to simply making it rain energy shots, and with the aforementioned advantage in mobility and Armin only having eight shots to land one of these, he was gonna have a hard time actually landing the blow he needed.
Wiz: And while Armin's undoubtedly a tactical genius, Suzaku is by no means dumb. He consistently managed to foil or at the very least interrupt Lelouch's schemes, who was smart enough to outwit an entire military operation that controlled a large portion of the world- a far greater task than anything Armin ever had to think up a plan of attack for, so Armin's tactics with his far more limited capabilities were unlikely to work more than once.
Pop-Up: Even the Armoured Titan required several Thunder Spears to pierce its hide, so one hit wasn't guaranteed to immediately destroy Lancelot if it connected, especially with Lancelot's barriers.
Boomstick: By itself, Suzaku seemed to have everything he needed to take a win here... but that's where the Colossal Titan comes in and kinda complicates matters.
Wiz: The Colossal Titan's enormous size and reach rendered Suzaku's mobility far less reliable than against base Armin, especially with how much tougher this form was, not just thanks to its regeneration, but also its immense endurance.
Boomstick: Remember that final battle between Eren and Armin & the gang? During that fight, the Colossal Titan's transformation created an explosion as big as the Founding Titan itself, which towers over even the Colossal Titan.
Wiz: Taking this into account to find the blast radius, Armin's transformation would need to be outputting a force equivalent to nearly 400 kilotons of TNT. That's over 10,000x more powerful than the Mother of All Bombs, the most powerful non-nuclear weapon ever detonated.
Boomstick: And it's kinda hard to imagine the Colossal Titan wouldn't just be reduced to paste if it couldn't withstand that when transforming. With Suzaku's far weaker attacks, he was never gonna get far trying to hurt this thing, especially when he had no reason to suspect the back of the neck would be its weak point.
Wiz: So you might have the idea the Colossal Titan should've won Armin the match, and if we were to run this battle over many more times, you wouldn't be wrong in that assumption, as it could've easily killed Suzaku.
Boomstick: But luckily for Suzaku, he had an ace up his sleeve, or should I say a giant nuclear weapon of doom up his sleeve.
Wiz: To put into perspective the sheer destruction of the F.L.E.I.J.A, let's compare it to the Britannian superweapon, the Damocles, which destroyed the entire city of Pendragon in a blast that was explicitly stated to be 100km in radius.
Cécile: The radius of destruction is approximately 100km.
Wiz: Achieving a blast of that size is no small feat, requiring around 45 gigatons of TNT to pull off.
Boomstick: Granted this was a version of F.L.E.I.J.A without the limiter Suzaku's had on it. The Damocles' blast radius is ten times larger without it, but it didn't actually matter in the end.
Wiz: Factoring this into our calculations, the energy output for Suzaku's F.L.E.I.J.A would still get to around 45 megatons of TNT- over 100 times more powerful than the Colossal Titan's explosion and enough to eviscerate it in one blast.
Pop-Up: Lancelot's F.L.E.I.J.A punching a crater into Tokyo would require 2 megatons of TNT to pull off, not only still far more than Armin's own output but it further supports Suzaku's F.L.E.I.J.A being in megaton range.
Boomstick: And don't forget, that's a 10km long radius getting caught in the blast zone. A 60 metre tall Titan would get easily swallowed by that blast, and with how big and slow the Colossal Titan was, it wouldn't be hard at all for Suzaku to hit it dead on and blow both the Titan and the soft, fleshy human inside to kingdom come.
Pop-Up: While Suzaku was extremely hesitant to use the F.L.E.I.J.A, this was at a time where he was still very unwilling to take lives willy nilly, and without casulaties to worry about in a neutral combat environment, it's far less likely this would bother him to the point of refusing to use it. Even if it did, the Geass command would almost assuredly kill any hesitation to use it, and the command beating out powers as ridiculous as seeing the future gave it the benefit of making it extremely difficult for Armin to plan around it.
Wiz: In short, while Armin had some tools more than capable of securing him a win, Suzaku's greater firepower, broader arsenal and greater technique gave him one hell of a hard earned victory.
Boomstick: He may have been facing some Titanic odds, but Geassh darnit, was Suzaku a Knightmare to take down.
Wiz: The winner is Suzaku Kururugi.

Additional Notes[]
The connections between Armin Arlert and Suzaku Kururugi are that they're both kind hearted, loyal, and emotional people by nature with incredibly altruistic but ultimately naïve main goals that saw them face discrimination from their people (Armin wanting humanity to live beyond the walls, Suzaku wanting to change Britannia from within), leading both to joining the military and trying to climb the ranks to make their dreams a reality, while being perfectly willing to put their lives on the line due to childhood trauma (Armin having an intense inferiority complex and Suzaku wanting to atone for killing his father). Both are initially looked down upon by their piers in the army (Armin due to his comparative weakness and Suzaku due to his nationality) but eventually earn their respect- even being bestowed a great power after a near death experience due to the loyalty to their cause, a bit of bias/luck, and their usefulness in battle (Armin getting the Colossal Titan, Suzaku getting Lancelot). Both are also childhood friends with a cunning and exceedingly ambitious leader figure who they eventually have to come to terms with the knowledge they are leading straight up cults and committing several atrocities, shaking both of their resolves (Eren and The Yeagerists in Armin's case and Lelouch and The Black Knights in Suzaku's) and due to said friend's plan, both are seen as heroes by pretty much everyone by the end of their stories after knowing the full extent of their motivations (Eren wanting Armin to be “The Savior of Humanity” after telling him of his plan to end the titan threat in The Paths and Lelouch making Suzaku the new Zero after telling him his plan for “true peace” after he became emperor). Also both end up falling for one of their enemies (Armin falling in love with a titan shifter/Marlian soldier in Annie, and Suzaku falling in love with Euphemia, a princess of Britannia).
