Arkosaurus vs Indominus Rex is a Death Battle Made by JohnGojira.

Description[]

Mutant Dinosaurs meet! Two powerful Therapods come to battle when Arkosaurus from Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs Strike faces the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World. But which Dino will become dinner?

Prelude[]

(Cue Jurassic World- Welcome to Jurassic World)

Wiz: Dinosaurs have always fascinated people since the time that they were recognized. Their size or striking appearances catches the casual viewer easily. All the media that they have been in only cements their iconic status.

Boomstick: But what do Dinosaur fans love even more? Mutant Dinosaurs!

Wiz: One example of a mutant dinosaur is Arkosaurus, the leader of the Mutated Dinosaurs!

Boomstick: And an iconic one is the Indomius Rex! The hybrid super predator from Jurassic World!

Wiz: He's Boomstick, and I'm Wiz.

Boomstick: And we'll be comparing these two mutant menaces to see who would win a Death Battle!

Interlude[]

Arkosaurus[]

(Cue Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs Strike- Main Theme)

Wiz: Theropods are often the villains of varies media, but for the most part, they are just predatory organisms.

Boomstick: But most people would normally not think of a large, mutant, carnivorous Dinosaur with a Napoleonic complex. But, believe it or not, there has been one.

Wiz: And that is Arkosaurus.

(Cue Battle of Giants Dinosaurs Strike- Dressing for Dinner)

Wiz: In the Battle of Giants games, Arkosaurus reaked havoc on the prehistoric lands, and was sealed away by the efforts of four Dinosaur Chiefs. However, with their passing, he returned to full strength, and was released from his imprisonment.

Boomstick: Well, sounds like he's king of the mountain when those Dinosaur Chiefs were gone.

Wiz: Now, for a bit of background Arkosaurus. This Tyrannosaurid-like Dinosaur is the leader of a group of mutant dinosaurs known as the Mutated Dinosaurs.

Boomstick: Welp, definitely gets its point across.

Wiz: Yep. So, the Mutated Dinosaurs include Cassosaurus, an ankylosaurid, Gorgoraptor, a raptor, Naxoceratops, a ceratopsian, and Hilerosaurus, a Stegosaurid. Of the Mutated Dinosaurs, as befitting the leader, Arkosaurus is the most powerful of them. In Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs Strike, Arkosaurus and the other Mutated Dinosaurs emerged from a volcano, which erupted, threatening the life of the other Dinosaurs.

Boomstick: And enter our great heroes...other Dinosaurs! Ba-ba-ba-bah! Yeah, they'd be screwed.

Wiz: Eh, not quite. To fight him, you play as one of the eight heavyweight theropods in Domination Mode. Now here's the good part. The Dinosaurs evolve after fighting other Dinosaurs.

Boomstick: Evolve? What the f-

Wiz: Yes, Boomstick, they evolve. Well, not actually evolving, based on Charles Darwin's definition of traits being passed through populations overtime, but they do receive power boosts to increase their damage, durability, and speed. And so, for increased damage, they get spike appendages, scutes for increased health, and streamlined appendages for speed.

Boomstick: So, more like Pokemon?

Wiz: Yep, you could say that. So, in Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D, when Arkosaurus emerges from his imprisonment from the Dinosaur Chiefs, he brings his fellow Mutated Dinosaurs, including the newcomer Albertosaurus.

Boomstick: Wait, isn't Albertosaurus a real Dinosaur?

Wiz: Yes, but in the game, he is a Mutated Dinosaur. So, in order to stop Arkosaurus and the other Mutated Dinosaurs, four Dinosaur Champions are trained over the course of the game, in order to fight Arkosaurus in a four-on-one final battle.

Boomstick: Man, that's intense.

Wiz: Well, time to go over his stats. So, he does not have a defined height length, or mass, but he is around a similar size to the giant Therapods that are most well known.

Boomstick: Yep!

Wiz: Now for abilities. Since Arkosaurus is the strongest of the Mutants, he is notable for having highly advanced strength, durability, speed, and agility. The full damage count of three bars for his battle in Dinosaurs Strike demonstrates that he is very strong, along with his battle in Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D, where he can take out one of the Dinosaur Champions in only two hits.

Boomstick: Looks he’s Two Hit Dino! Now he needs an anime series to go with him.

Wiz: Having a full health count in Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs Strike, that is more evidence for his durability. To put it in perspective, a full count for health is a trait notable in the Ankylosaurids in the game. As for the speed and agility, he once again has a full three bars, which is shown in the raptors. The agility of the Arkosaurus is so great, that despite being a larrge Therapod, he is ablt to quickly leap out of the way of attack, or jump high in the air when attacking.

Boomstick: Well, it seems pretty hard to fight a T-Rex like dinosaur with high durability and no sense of gravity.

Wiz: Additionally, Arkosaurus has various attacks he will use. To begin with, he will use quick attacks. Namely, he will bite his opponents with his fanged jaws or head but them with his spikey protrusions.

Boomstick: But also, he can use heavy attacks, like using a head slam or fricking stomping on them.

Wiz: To attack, he'll also use combos and Dino Strikes, for which he utilizes his his sharp-edged appendages, and his jaws in sink with his lage size, speed, and agility.

Boomstick: And though Arkosaurus has always been foiled, there's no denying he's a Dinosaur you wouldn't want to mess with!

Indominus Rex[]

(Cue Jurassic World- Indominus Rex Theme)

Wiz: In Jurassic Park, the people running the park had Dinosaurs as the massive attraction. But in Jurassic World, when Dinosaurs were not garnering enough awe...

Boomstick: They decide to make a hybrid Dinosaur!

Wiz: The Indominus Rex.

Boomstick: And that turned out nicely, didn't it?

Wiz: Of course, like in every sci fi-thriller-action movie, something went wrong. And in this case, the Indominus had some pretty crazy traits rolling around in its gene pool, and high intelligence, which it used to escape from its enclosure. Despite the attempts to capture her, the I-Rex was always one step ahead of the people at Jurassic Park. While loose, the hybrid Dinosaur killed other Dinosaurs for sport, and wreaked havoc across the park.

Boomstick: Then, the humans get the idea to send Blue, Charlie, Echo, and Delta after the Indominus Rex. And of course, four intelligent Dinosaurs will surely take out the Indominus Rex, right? Nope.

Wiz: Instead, the I-Rex, being part Velociraptor, communicates with the Velociraptors, and convinces them to attack the humans.

Boomstick: Eh, who'd blame them. They'd been locked up, and then this big Dinosaur says, "Hey, if you join me, we'll kill these guys that kept you locked up. Sound nice?"

And then the raptors are all like, "Freedom!"

Wiz: Well, that's one way to look at it. Now, later, when Owen Grady gets the raptors to stop attacking people, the Indominus Rex comes back, and the four Velociraptors fight her. However, Blue gets incapacitated, and the rest are killed in the battle. So, they decide to bring in...

Boomstick: The T-Rex.

Wiz: Yep. The two therapods battle, with the I-Rex nearly killing the T-Rex.

Boomstick: However, Blue comes to the rescue, and they both batter the Indominus. Though what finishes the Indominus Rex in the end is the Mosasaurus leaping from the water, biting her on the neck, and dragging her into the ocean.

Wiz: Alright, here's the size stats for the Indominus Rex:

  • Height: 20 ft (~6 meters)
  • Length: 50ft (~15 meters)
  • Mass: Unknown

Wiz: Alright, now for the I-Rex's abilities. Being a hybrid of various creatures, she has a wide variety of abilities. Firstly, the Indominus Rex, much like Tyrannosaurus Rex, has sharp teeth and powerful jaw strength. This jaw strength allowed her to puncture and crack the glass on the Gyrosphere, which was designed to stop a 50 caliber bullet.

Boomstick: Sink your teeth into that fact, huh.

Wiz: The I-Rex also has sharp claws, which it uses to attack, inflicting slashes on her victims. Her largest claw on one of her hands, additionally, was able to pierce the Gyrosphere's glass. These claws are attached to the Indominus' long and powerful arms, which allowed her to overturn an Ankylosaurus.

Boomstick: Man, that's intense.

Wiz: The Indominus Rex also has a fair amount of durability, which is shown through by the fact that she can resist shotgun and machinegun fire. She was even able to resist injury from an AT-4 blast, albeit she was knocked off of her feet and dazed temporarily. Most notably, she tanked a blow from an Ankylosaurs club, which is designed to break the bones of even large Theropods.

Boomstick: Quite a blow to resist, eh?

Wiz: The I-Rex is shown to also very fast, with a recorded running speed of 30 mph.

Boomstick: Not bad for a large Therapod!

Wiz: Of course, two of the Indominus Rex's crazier abilities are her camouflauge, granted by her Cuttlefish DNA, and the ability to change her body temperature, granted by her Treefrog DNA. But in the end, possibly the most dangerous aspect of the I-Rex is her intelligence.

Boomstick: And while she was defeated by Rexy and Blue, the Indominus Rex is one lethal hybrid!

Boomstick: It's time for a... DeathBattle!

Death Battle[]

The sun was setting along the western horizon. All was peaceful on Isla Nublar... or so it seemed at first. Along the plains at the foot of a mountain, several carcasses of Apatosaurus covered the ground, each one stricken with deep slash marks.

The Indominus Rex, the killer of these Sauropods, was in the process of slaughtering another Apatosaurus, biting its neck. The Apatosaurus' head slumped to the ground, and let out a weakened bellow as it's neck was mutilated by the Indominus' jaws. Then, the sauropod let out a final, dying breath.

The I-Rex lifted its head, roaring loudly.

Suddenly, the sound of an explosion echoed through the air

(Cue Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs Strike- Summon the final Showdown)

The volcano on Isla Nublar, which had been active in recent times, was now erupting. Ash began to poor from the top, covering the skies in darkness. Molten rocks flew from the erupting volcano, crashing on the surrounding habitats. Forests and plains below began to blaze with flame as wildfires were ignited.

Recognizing the danger, the Indominus Rex began o flee from the chaos that was ensuing. However, the hybrid Dinosaur then sensed something... as if there was another apex predator in nearby. She looked up at the top of the volcano, and saw a large figure appear high above...

After thousands, possibly millions of years, Arkosaurus had emerged to the surface once more. The Mutated Dinosaur roared loudly, his roared reverberating through the air. He stared down upon the carnage that had ensued during his return. Lava oozed down the slopes, and smoke coated the skies from the eruption. He seemed to take pleasure at the sight of it all.

With all his previous enemies gone, Arkosaurus would have no opposition to claiming this land.

(Music stops)

Or would he?

(Cue Jurassic world- Bury the Hatchling)

There was a sudden crackling sound that caught Arkosaurus' attention. The mutant turned his head in the direction of the sound.

Emerging from the burning forests came the Indominus Rex. She roared at Arkosaurus, seeing him as an enemy. The Arkosaurus stared a the Indominus, expecting that it had come to challenge him. He roared at the Indominus, his sabres just barely having a gap from his jaws.

The two Therapods would clash on this volcanic area in a battle that would determine the fate of Isla Nublar.

Fight![]

(Cue Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs Strike- Archosaurus Battle)

The mutants circled each other for a short period of time, their eyes leering as they watched for their opponent's first strike.

The Indominus Rex attempted to attack Arkosaurus, lunging forward. However, Arkosaurus lunged towards the Indominus Rex, and struck her with a quick bite. The Indominus stumbled back, growling in pain. Arkosaurus came at the I-Rex, ready to attack again. However, the Indominus grabbed Arkosaurus by the head, using her claws to grab on. Arkosaurus bellowed in pain, and the Indominus Rex then thrust Arkosaurus back, causing him to skid across the ground. His face was scratched, with deep cuts on it from the Indominus Rex's claws.

The Indominus Rex let out her rattling growl as she attempted to claw Arkosaurus. However, Arkosaurus lunged forwards, ramming her chest with his spiked head. The Indominus Rex snarled in pain at the blow from the horns, with some wounds on her skin. Then, Arkosaurus tilted his head back while moving forward, delivering a head slam to the Indominus Rex. The Indominus stumbled back upon the powerful impact. The Indominus Rex glared, her dark eyes staring at Arkosaurus.

She lunged at her opponent. However, the leader of the Mutated Dinosaurs leapt aside, evading the attack, and the I-Rex's jaws clamped down on air. Arkosaurus growled as he walked forwards, then delivered a powerful stomp to the Indominus Rex. The I-Rex roared as she was thrust downwards under Arkosaurus' foot. Arkosaurus stepped back. he prepared to attack again, but the Indominus attacked, letting out a rattling growl as she bite into Arkosaurus' side.

Arkosaurus bellowed in pain, and the Indominus released. She then struck Arkosaurus with a clawed hand, jabbing into Arkosaurus, before she deliver a second clawing across his neck. Arkosaurus roared in pain at the attacks, with a claw wounds that began to bleed.

The I-Rex was not letting up. She prepared to sink her jaws into the neck of Arkosaurus, but Arkosaurs delivered a swift but bite. The Indominus Rex raised her head to the air, roaring in pain. Arkosaurus then slammed his spikey tail at the Indominus delivering another blow, before slamming into the Indominus with his own body. The Indominus fell back, standing short distance from her opponent.

Arkosaurus roared at the I-Rex, who let out a roar in return.

The Indominus charged towards Arkosaurus, who was also charging. Indominus attempted to chomp down on Arkosaurus, but the leader of the Mutant Dinosaurs got low, and delivered a powerful head slam. The Indominus roared as she fell back horizontally. She crashed, skidding against the ground.

The lava burned, and smoke billowed around the area. Steam also billowed in various areas.

Arkosaurus advanced towards the downed I-Rex. However, he could not spot her through the steam and the haze.

Then, from his side, the Indominus Rex melted out of her surrounds. Arkosaurus just barely spotted her as she ceased he camouflauge. But it was too late.

The I-Rex bit onto Arkosaurus' neck, and clasped onto him with her claws. Arkosaurus bellowed in pain at the attack. With that, the Indominus tackled Arkosaurus to the ground, and he fell down. Blood was spilling from his wounds.

The Indominus prepared to pin her opponent, but Arkosaurus struck her with a quick bite. Then, getting up, Arkosaurus whipped his tail across the I-Rex's face, while simultaneously swiveling, and delivered a bite. The I-Rex back away at the attack. Arkosaurs attempted a bite, but the I-Rex counter with a swipe of her hand. Arkosaurus blocked, taking the damage to his chest. Then, he head but the I-Rex with his horns. This caused the I-Rex to snarl in agitation.

The two Therapods clashed, the I-Rex grabbing onto Arkosaurus, while Arkosaurus pushed against her. The I-Rex pushed Indominus back briefly, but then Arkosaurus burst forward, shoving the Indominus Rex back.

Then, Arkosaurus jumped back, and the Indominus was forced to release her grip. Then, Arkosaurus came at the Indominus Rex with a side pivot, quickly slamming into the Indominus with his hip, and finished the move by slamming her with his head. First slam knocked the I-Rex's head upwards, and then the next slammed her down. The Indominus roared agitatedly. Then, Arkosaurus opened his jaws, striking the I-Rex with quick bites.

Then, Arkosaurus leapt into the air. The Indominus slashed at Arkosaurus, but she was struck with a kick, and she scraped at his leg. The Arkosaurus abruptly slammed he aside with his head.

Arkosaurus looked upon the new wound shortly, then glared at his opponent. The Indomnus Rex glared back at him. The two charged at each other. Arkosaurus then got low, and head slammed the I-Rex again. This time, the Indominus was sent flying into the air, before crashing down on the ground.

The Indominus rex attempted to get up, but Arkosaurus stepped on the downed I-Rex, pinning her down. She bit at Arkosaurus, delivering a powerful bite to the Arkosaurus' chest. Arkosaurus growled in pain at the attack. However, he opened his large jaws, and pierced into the I-Rex's neck with his sabres, and sinking his teeth into her neck.

The Indominus Rex roared briefly as her neck was punctured straight through, with blood spilling from the wound. Then, her head drooped limply.

K.O.[]

(Music Stops)

Arkosaurus stepped off. Then he tossed the Indominus Rex's corpse into a patch of lava. The corpse sizzled and burned in the molten material.

The leader of the Mutated Dinosaurus let out a powerful roar in triumph, his head moving to the side. The air shook at his roar.

Results[]

(Cue Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs Strike- Epilogue)

Boomstick: Seems Jurassic World's going to need a new location, huh. And a new attraction.

Wiz: While the Indominus Rex could certainly surprise Arkosaurus with strategy and some of her more unorthodox abilities, like the camouflauge, Arkosaurus had too many other advantages over her.

Boomstick: For example, Arkosaurus easily had the I-Rex beat in strength.

Wiz: The Indominus was able to overturn an Ankylosaurus, which can reach about 4-8 tons. However, with a head slam, Arkosaurus is able to launch large theropods like T-Rex, which can reach around 6-8 tons, and the largest recently found to be about 9.7 tons. Even if we assume that the Ankylosaurus was about the same mass as the T-Rex, and take into account the fact that the Indominus pushed Rexy down, Arkosaurus was able to produced greater displacement with his launching capacity. And that's only if you take Dinosaurs Strike into account.

Boomstick: Yeah! cause in Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3-D, Arkosaurus was also capable of taking out dinosaurs in two hits, so Arkosaurus was is definitely stronger than the I-Rex. And aside from strength, all of Arkosaurus' spikes and other appendages, along with his bulk and agility, while the I-Rex was limited to her claws, arm strength and jaws.

Wiz: Arkosaurus' strength gave him a massive large edge over the the Indominus. However, Arkosaurus also had his speed and agility on his side, even if by just a close margin. of course, the Indominus Rex can run at 30 miles per hour, and was fast enough to intercept a Velociraptor leaping at her. Additionally, she was able to outmaneuver Rexy during their battle.

Boomstick: However, Arkosaurus was shown to be a lot more agile, as shown by his leaping attacks, despite how big he is, and being able to complete combo attacks and Dino Strikes in quicker succession than the I-Rex.

Wiz: Arkosaurus' stats in the Strike section were listed with all three bars, a feature of the raptors in the game, which means he could reach the 40 or so mile per hour speed estimated in Jurassic World. But along with speed, Arkosaurus had the advantage in durability as well. Of course, she did tank a blow from an Ankylosaurus club, which is known for shattering the bones of large Therapods, but did get dazed by an AT-4 blast.

Boomstick: Yeah! While that's nothing to scoff at, Arkosaurus can take strikes from fairly decent sized meteorites with just a pained roar and some damage.

Wiz: Despite the Indominus Rex's intelligence, Arkosaurus was even more intelligent.

Boomstick: But how is the I-Rex less intelligent than Arkosaurus? Well, the I-Rex did plan an escape and remembered the tracking implant, along with killing for sport. However, that is probably still animalistic intelligence, even if she's more intelligent than other Dinos. Meanwhile, Arkosaurus had plans baseed on domination, which could hint at about human intelligence.

Wiz: Good insight, Boomstick. But what also helped is how the two opponents teamed up with other Dinosaurs. The Indominus Rex convinced the Velociraptors to help her, in part because she was part Velociraptor. But Arkosaurus rallied the support of the other Mutated Dinosaurs, with most being genetically different from himself, three examples being Cassosaurus, Naxoceratops, and Hilerosaurus. But probably Arkosaurus' biggest advantage was in experience. True, the Indominus Rex killed multiple Apatosaurus, along with Ankylosaurus, three Velociraptors, and nearly killed a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Boomstick: And it took both Blue and Rexy to beat her, and in the end, it was the Mosasaurus that killed her.

Wiz: However, Arkosaurus has taken on Dinosaurs that have either evolved or trained to fight him. Additionally, it took four Dinosaur Chiefs to seal him away. You have to be pretty powerful for that to be the case.

Boomstick: Welp, looks the Indominus Rex just coulldn't clawed and chomped towards victory, but in the end, got dominated.

Wiz: The Winner is Arkosaurus!
