Ares is a major character, as well as being the main antagonist of the video game series, God of War. He's the Greek God of War, as well as being the former master of the Ghost of Sparta Kratos, as well as being to one responsible for both Kratos descending into madness, and the destruction of Mt. Olympus.

- Knows how to bend the rules that his father Zeus created without actually breaking them.
- Manipulated Kratos to do his bidding.
- Successfully made Kratos into a warrior capable of taking down Olympus
- Nearly destroyed Athens with a matter of days, even though he's mostly likely capable of doing so in a matter of minutes. (Though it's most likely because he was enjoying seeing the mortals struggle and suffer during his onslaught)
- Tossed a large jagged pillar from Athens, all the way through the Desert of Lost Souls, where Cronos was, into a hole that leads to the entrance to Pandora's Temple, and successfully impales Kratos, without damaging Pandora's Box.
- Nearly broke and killed Kratos.
- Would've most likely taken over Olympius, if he survived Kratos' onslaught.
- Burned the entire barbarian horde, leaving only the leader alive so Kratos can kill him.
