Description[]
Archie Comics vs Fate/Prototype! It's a fight to the finish between these heroes from alternate realities!
Introduction[]
Necro: Silver the Hedgehog, Archie Sonic's Secret Freedom Fighter.
Mercer: And Arthur Pendragon, Fate/Prototype's Once and Future King!
Necro: Across time and space, there are many threats to life as we know it. But as long as these heroes exist to fight them, we'll always be saved.
Mercer: He's Necro and I'm Mercer.
Necro: And It's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win...
Mercer: A DEATH BATTLE!
Silver the Hedgehog Teleports into DEATH BATTLE![]
Necro: The year is 3437 P.X.E, and Mobius is on its last legs. The world is plagued by giant monsters, ecological disasters and is seemingly eternally on fire. Basically, whatever bad thing you can think of, it's reality here, and also a thousand times worse.
Mercer: But no world can be without it's heroes. A lone warrior stands against the calamities. And his name is Silver.
Necro: This hedgehog has no family, and not much of a past either. But every hero needs a mentor, and Silver would find that in the form of Mammoth Mogul, an immortal wizard who was learned in the arts of Chaos, the all encompassing energy of the universe. Kinda like the Force.
Mercer: Silver knew that there was nothing left in this future, so he decided to save the world in the only way he could imagine: Becoming a time travelling Knight of Kronos and going back in time to save the world by changing the past. Apparently Grandfather Paradoxes aren't a thing here.
Necro: But if he was going to save the world, Silver would need the abilities and skills required to save it. Luckily for him, he's got them in droves. Like all Sonic characters, Silver is super strong and fast. He can shatter solid steel badniks with a single attack, and run fast enough to keep pace with the likes of Sonic and Shadow. However, it should be noted that Silver's physical ability is a step below most of his peers. But Silver makes up for this with a wide variety of psychic powers.
Mercer: Silver's Psychokinesis grants him the ability to fly and move objects with his a single thought. Be it a car or even an entire skyscraper, such a feat is child's play for this hedgehog. He can slice entire roads and buildings in half with his Psycho Knife technique, warp space and teleport short distances with the Teleport Dash, or disorient his foes with his signature ESP attacks.
Necro: Like the many other Mobians that came before him, Silver has access to power rings, which grant him enhanced insight, a boost in power and various resistances to different types of corruption. Silver also has access to a Warp Ring, which allows him to teleport anywhere he wants, even other dimensions.
Mercer: But a grab bag of psychic powers and some old jewelry by themselves aren't enough to save the world. Silver was, as previously mentioned, a student to Mammoth Mogul. Thanks to Mogul's teachings, Silver learned two game changing and potentially world saving techniques. First up is the mighty and iconic Chaos Control. Through the usage of a Chaos Emerald, Silver can manipulate the fabric of space and time, which includes time travel and freezing time. It also allows him to shoot energy blasts, and has been used for great telekinetic feats.
Necro: However, Chaos Control alone didn't provide enough mastery over time for Silver's tastes. So he also learned Chronos Control. This ability allowed Silver to travel freely through time, and Silver's Time Stone provides him with even greater control of time. In fact, Silver's messed with time so much that he's managed to decouple himself from time itself, meaning that the aforementioned Grandfather Paradoxes really would have no hold on Silver.
Mercer: With all this power, Silver needed a target. Someone had to be responsible for the state of the world. So Silver and Mammoth Mogul hit the books. After a long period of dead ends, they finally found the culprit. Mecha Sally, one of the Legendary Sonic the Hedgehog's own Freedom Fighters! She betrayed them at the right moment and ruined everything, so Silver set off with a mission in mind, ready to kill her for the sake of the future.
Necro: Well, before we get back to Silver's Terminator quest, it's important to note that the Archie Sonic multiverse is a complex structure, containing infinite timelines, possibilities and universes, as well as extra dimensional forces like the Chaos Force. From Robin Hood cosplaying LARPers and evil Mechanical hedgehogs to reformed mechanical hedgehogs and even a certain super fighting robot, it's fair to say that Silver threw himself into something he simply wasn't ready to comprehend.
Mercer: Once he landed, Silver quickly realized he didn't have the first idea about what he needed to do. Probably should've come up with a plan before jumping back in time, huh? Well, as it would turn out, Past Mobius was already really fucked up!
Necro: Take Scourge the Hedgehog. A petty asshole with nothing better to do than harass Sonic. Pathetic, yes, but that doesn't change the fact that he still had god like power at his beck and call in the form of Super Scourge. With this form, he took his bullshit to the next level and attacked Sonic and his friends, including the somewhat newly arrived Silver.
Mercer: Thanks to clever usage of his psychic powers, Silver managed to hold Scourge off for long enough for Sonic to win the day. His penchant for wielding his powers in clever ways came in clutch again not too long afterwards when Mobius was faced with quite possibly the greatest single threat it had faced up to that point. Enerjak.
Necro: The evil chaos demigod was scattered across the Chaos Force, and he possessed the various echidnas that displayed great potential, all for the goal of cleansing the world and rebuilding it in his image. Ya know, chaos demigod stuff. To say Enerjak was powerful would be an understatement. He could casually defeat an uninhibited Shadow the Hedgehog, the same Shadow who can wipe out entire cities with only a small percentage of his power, and when faced with the blue blur himself, Sonic would ultimately fall short. Even Super Sonic wasn't able to turn the tide against this absolute monster. That's right, the mighty Super forms that can command reality and multiverse rewriting power were unable to overpower him.
Mercer: It was Mobius' darkest hour since Silver's return. Enerjak had stolen pretty much everyone's soul, and Silver stood against him as the last line of defense. Enerjak pulled out all the stops. Hell, he even threw ANGEL FUCKING ISLAND at Silver, and totally squashed the shit out of him with it! Angel Island is about 536 kilometers across. That makes it a little bit wider than Great Britain, which is only 485 kilometers wide! A demigod smacked Silver with more than the might of the world's most average tea, and he took it like a champ and quipped about it! Jeez, if only he was this cool in the games...
Necro: Obviously, Silver couldn't match Enerjak's absurd power. However, he could redirect it. Through simply rebounding Enerjak's attacks back on him, Silver managed to defeat the greatest threat Mobius had ever seen. Just goes to show that raw power is no match for a fine tuned mind.
Mercer: And Enerjak wasn't the only world ending foe Silver would face. The Second Devourer, a time eating monster, attempted to eat Sonic's world 200 years in the future, and Silver travelled to the future and managed to seal it away with the aid of his future friends. And remember Mecha Sally, the future traitor and reason for Silver's terrible future?
Necro: Turns out that she had a super tragic backstory and her betrayal wasn't really of her own free will, so rather than killing her, Silver simply knocked her out. Still, with the crisis to the future averted, Silver finally relaxed. His world was saved.
Mercer: And then the Second Genesis Wave hit.
Necro: Dr. Eggman had formed a partnership with Dr. Wily from the Mega Man Archie series after Wily had somehow gotten his hands on a Chaos Emerald. They created the Wily Egg and used the Second Genesis Wave to alter their universes. Eggman reset the world of Mobius, and Wily sent his own world into the future. This also set up a link between their worlds, which the doctors would use for general villainy.
Mercer: Silver didn't have a massive role in setting the world right, but he still did his best to help as much as he could. In the end, Eggman and Wily gathered the Chaos Emeralds and tried to rewrite the worlds again, this time turning themselves into Gods. However, the combine forces of Sonic and Mega Man managed to stop the doctors dead in their tracks. Mega Man managed to successfully return his own world to its previous state, but Sonic wasn't so lucky. Eggman managed to interfere, and CAUSED THE ENTIRE MULTIVERSE TO COLLAPSE. Sure it reset afterwards, but fuckin hell.
Necro: In a world as crazy as this, it's no wonder that Silver's shown off some incredibly impressive showings of power and speed. As previously mentioned, he fought with and defeated Enerjak. Remember Angel Island? Well, given how fast Enerjak threw it, and how heavy Angel Island is, the impact Silver survived would have had to be worth 1.42 Zettatons of TNT!
Mercer: Silver is fast enough to fight on par Enerjak, who is just as fast as Sonic. In the events of the Second Genesis Wave, Sonic was faced with Sonic Man, a robotic version of the blue blur. Not any of those versions. While in his base form, Sonic was able to move in Sonic Man's time stop, which would require Sonic to be able to move at Infinite (hehe) speed.
Necro: And like seemingly every other Hedgehog, Silver has the ability to become a Super hedgehog. Despite never using it in the comics, the events of Sonic '06 are confirmed to have happened in some vague way. When he assumes this totally original golden form, Silver becomes far more powerful than his base form.
Mercer: While in his super form, Silver's psychic power skyrockets. Silver managed to battle with Solaris, a powerful deity who's power could wipe out all of history. And in the context of the Archie continuity, that would mean Solaris had the power to wipe out an infinite multiverse with several dimensional layers. But given how one could view Solaris' inclusion as a little shaky thanks to the sun god's lack of appearances, as mentioned before, Super Sonic was able to control the Super Genesis wave, which collapsed and rewrote the Archie multiverse.
Necro: It should also be mentioned that the Super forms are also immune to their own powers, as Sonic and Mega Man were at the origin of the Super Genesis Wave. In terms of abilities, Super forms can freely warp reality and erase targets from existence. Super Sonic, or Silver in this case is also directly linked to the Chaos Force, which allows him greater ease when using Chaos Control. As demonstrated when facing the Universalsalamander, Super forms can also become intangible. They are also invulnerable to most forms of attack, though significantly powerful beings like Enerjak can harm and even defeat them. When the going gets rough, Silver has a final trump card. The Shield of Light is an amplified version of Silver's Grab All technique, which grabs projectiles and hurls them back to sender. Silver used the Shield of Light against Solaris, and was able to breach Solaris' previously unbreachable shield with a single shot.
Mercer: Despite all the powers the super forms permit, they also have two major drawbacks. First of all, they can only last for a limited period of time, one that seems to be dependent on their energy usage, which is the second weakness of these god like forms. The super forms power, although vast, is limited, seemingly by the user's own stamina.
Necro: Silver himself is still new to the hero game, and thus suffers from some inexperience and teenage naiveite. Though his psychic power is great, Silver tends to rely on them to a fault, and if he struck while trying to use a technique, it tends to get canceled out or otherwise botched. He's usually outmatched at close range, and he's pretty much powerless if he overextends himself.
Mercer: Despite his shortcomings, there are few heroes I'd entrust the future with over Silver the Hedgehog.

Proto Saber Mana Bursts into DEATH BATTLE![]
Necro: The Holy Grail War. A competition between seven mages and their summoned servants to gain the Holy Grail, an omni potent wish granting device. The year is 1991, and the fourth war has begun. The previous three wars have ended in disaster or proved inconclusive. Will this one be any different? Will a master finally claim the holy grail? They certainly will if Arthur Pendragon has anything to say about it!
Mercer: Arthur was once a simple boy, whose life was forever changed when he pulled the sword of selection, Caliburn from the stone. Arthur would then be approached by Merlin, who just so happens to be a lady this time around. Merlin offered to train Arthur to become worthy of being a king, and Arthur accepted. After he completed his training, Arthur would keep Merlin as his advisor after he ascended to the throne. he would also form the Knights of the Round Table, a collection of the greatest knights Britain had to offer.
Necro: But the story doesn't end after he became king. Arthur was faced with uniting Britain, which was in a state of disarray at the time. While fighting a duel with his soon to be ally Sir Lancelot, Arthur broke Caliburn and gained the mighty and much more iconic Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake as a replacement. Thanks to Merlin's guidance and the combine power of Excalibur and his elite Knights of the Round Table, Arthur successfully united Britain under his banner. Turns out getting a sword thrown at you by a watery tart really does make you a king.
Mercer: But all good things must come to an end, and Arthur and Britain itself would fall victim to a plot hatched by Arthur's sister, Morgan le Fae, his son, Mordred and a betrayal by his own best friend Lancelot, who just couldn't not fuck Arthur's wife Guinevere.
Necro: Arthur was slain in the battle of Camlann after being mortally wounded by Mordred. As he lay dying, he entrusted the last remaining Knight of the Round Table, Bedivere with the returning of Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake. Thanks to his status as a legendary king, Arthur's name was recorded in the Throne of Heroes and became a servant.
Mercer: The Throne of Heroes is basically an index of the greatest heroes and anti-heroes and villains in both fact and fiction that allows them to be summoned in the form of a servant, which are essentially high ranking spirit familiars. Servants are meant to guide humanity to greater heights, and are divided into seven main classes and several "Extra" classes. Thanks to his legend being so closely tied to Excalibur, and his extreme skill with a blade, Arthur can be summoned as a Saber class servant, a class meant for the greatest sword fighters in history.
Necro: As previously mentioned, Arthur was summoned into Tokyo in the year of 1991 by Manaka Sajyou, aka the most batshit insane twelve year old ever. There, he would fight in the Fourth Holy Grail War. To fight in a war like this, Arthur's skills would be put to the test. And with a kit like this, there was no doubt that Arthur would prove to be a formidable foe!
Mercer: As a Saber class servant, Arthur has access to Magic Resistance, ranked A. This skill makes it extremely difficult to damage him through magical means. Next, he's got Riding, ranked B. This skill provides Arthur with the supernatural ability to ride any mount, ranging from horses to motorcycles.
Necro: When it comes to personal skills, Arthur's robust history has provided him with several useful skills. The first of which is Mana Burst, ranked A. This skill allows Arthur to vastly increase his strength or speed for a short period of time.
Mercer: Next up is Instinct, ranked A. Normally a skill that allows the user to predict an opponent's next moves in combat, at such a high rank, it's effectively future sight. Arthur can also circumvent some visual and auditory interference using this skill.
Necro: Giant Beast Hunt is an A ranked skill that grants Arthur an advantage against giant lifeforms. Finally, Charisma, ranked B is a skill that allows Arthur to effectively and easily lead an army.
Mercer: Arthur was also blessed by the Lady of Lake, who gave him the ability to walk on water.
Necro: After the other six servants in the war were killed, Arthur would learn a terrible truth. His master, Manaka was an insane psychopath that wanted to feed her younger sister to the Holy Grail in order to give birth to a Beast, one of the many sins of humanity made manifest. Arthur slew his master and busted out his trump card, the sword that King Arthur is most known for. His Noble Phantasm, Excalibur!
Intermission[]
Necro: All right, the combatants are set, and the data's been run through all possibilities. Let's end this debate once and for all...
Mercer: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!
