The Oni is the main antagonist of the video game series Ao Oni.

History[]

Ao Oni is a enigmatic creature that lives in the abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town in Japan. Not much is known about the Oni, but it lives with many creatures that resemble it. It is known to feed upon people. It has been shown after the Oni kills someone, the victim becomes a Oni themselves. It seems to act like a virus.

A group of teenagers decide to explore the mansion and eventually get locked inside and they must escape the mansion while trying to avoid the Oni.

In the sequels, Ao Oni lives in a abandoned school in Ao Oni 2, and Ao Oni lives in a island in Ao Oni 3.

Social Influencing: Has convinced Takeshi and co. that it was always a 5th member with them before they entered the mansion even while killing them, Has convinced Takeshi and co. to help it get unstuck from the iron bars despite it chasing them down to kill them.

Used a slap that was so hard it sent a girls head flying off.
Tried to get the player through the cell and was able to shake the cell with enough strength.
Can survive a fall that would be lethal to a human being.
Survived getting kicked across the entire mansion by Mika which collapsed afterwards.
Went through a wall without seeming to be injured.
Can easily kill humans by eating their entire head, hanging them, or crushing them with it's brute strength.

Flaws[]

Despite it's intelligence, it doesn't seem to have much in terms of common sense.
Is a little clumsy.
In an opposite world in the anime, Ao Oni is terrified of humans.
Supersonic Ao Oni Button is only obtainable in the mansion.
