History[]
Pelle Nøhrmann was a normal 12-year-old boy, living in the small town of Middellund. As a matter of fact, Pelle was so normal that no one ever seemed to notice him; certainly not beautiful Amanda, the girl of his dreams.
However, after he’s bitten by a genetically-modified ant, Pelle began to manifest superpowers. A comic book nerd in his school, Wilhelm, realizes what’s going on, and helps Pelle learn his powers. Before he knows it, Pelle has a costume, and a name – Antboy!
Battling minor criminals and helping people in trouble becomes something of a game for Pelle, but when a super-villain appears with the name of the Flea, it suddenly become very serious indeed. The Flea kidnaps Amanda, and Antboy cannot rescue her, tripping him into a crisis of confidence. And when Pelle gives up being Antboy, Wilhelm dons the mask, and goes to confront the Flea. Pelle returns to being Antboy and saves Wilhelm from the Flea, resulting in his arrest and incarceration.
But, there’s little time for Pelle to celebrate his victory, as new villains begin to pop up. There’s the Terror Twins, and worse, a girl with a deep grudge against Pelle, and she goes by the name of the Red Fury. However, not all enemies are enemies forever, and Pelle soon discovers that the Red Fury has a reason for her grudge.
Eventually, Pelle Nøhrmann, now 15, decides that it is time to retire and move on with a normal life. But, when a new skateboarding superhero arrives, Pelle gets jealous. Worse, Albert Gæmelkrå (a.k.a. the Flea) has been released and Pelle fears that he has picked up right where he left off. In the end, Pelle and his friends form a league of superheroes, complete with their own headquarters: The Anthill.

Pelle Nøhrmann looks like a normal, 15-year-old Danish boy. He has reddish-blonde hair and blue eyes. When in costume, he wears a black “antsuit,” with a matching black helmet and cape. When in civilian attire, he prefers jeans and casual shirt, sometimes accented with a hoodie.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Superhuman strength - Antboy’s primary power is his super strength. He once tossed a car, making it spin through the air.
- Super bite ability - As part of his strength ability, he has a super-strong bite. Once, he was able to bite through a thick chain that was securing a bicycle.
- Enhanced reflexes - He is able to dodge fast-moving attacks launched at him.
- Wall climbing ability - He is able to climb walls like an ant.
- Enhanced jumping ability - Though unable to fly, Antboy can jump for extremely long distances, once leaping approximately 30 feet.
- Acidic urine - Pelle’s urine is actually a highly corrosive acid. Wilhelm used it to quickly burn through chains binding Antboy.
- Enhanced olfactory senses - He can use his sense of smell like a bloodhound.
Weapons and Equipment[]
- Utility belt - Contains candy, so he can always recharge his powers.
- Acid-proof container - This bottle contains some of Antboy’s highly acidic urine.
- Cell phone with Bluetooth - Antboy uses this to stay in constant communication with Wilhelm, so as to give him advice. It allows Wilhelm to know where he is at any time.
- Radio watch - He uses this watch to monitor local police radio frequencies, so he can go where he is needed.
- Thermographic goggles – These goggle allow him to see in the infrared spectrum, making invisible opponents visible from their body heat.
- EMF Meter – This device is used to reveal electromagnetic disturbances.
- EVP Recorder – This electronic voice phenomena recorder, is a specialized recorder, designed to enhance sounds.
