Description[]

Amphibia vs. Fairy Tail! The young hero of Amphibia does battle with the leader of the Shadow Guild.

Intro[]

Wiz: We've always known the world to be an ordinary, natural place.

Boomstick: But what happens when there's a whole 'nother world that is supernatural and full of extraordinary beings?

Wiz: Enter Anne Boonchuy, the teenage defender of the mystical world of Amphibia. And Levy McGarden, master of solid script magic and the leader of the Shadow Guild.

Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, & skills to see who would win... a Death Battle.

Anne Boonchuy[]

Boomstick: Well, if you haven't heard of Anne Boonchuy, then you've clearly been living under a frog-encrusted rock!

Wiz: Anne is an adventurous girl from our world who finds herself transported to the mystical and magical land of Amphibia. There, she befriends a lovable but mischievous frog named Sprig, and together they embark on all sorts of wacky and wild adventures.

Boomstick: She's a fierce and determined girl who can hold her own against any foe, from giant monsters to tax collectors.

Wiz: Implying that tax collectors and giant monsters aren't one in the same.

Boomstick: Oh yeah, that's true. The IRS is a bitch.

Wiz: Anne can make do with whatever she has in Amphibia, whether it’s crafting a rope trap out of vines or making a spear out of scrap wood.

Boomstick: Anne is a natural athlete who plays on a varsity team and an avid tennis player. She can use her skills in combat as well, holding her own against burrow bugs, vegetable monsters, toad soldiers, and even her frenemy Sasha. Her weapons of choice are a sword and a tennis racket, which she can dual wield with ease.

Wiz: Anne’s most powerful ability is derived from the blue gemstone embedded in her chest, which was activated by the Calamity Box.

Boomstick: This gives her the ability to generate energy blasts and constructs in a similar manner to Green Lantern.

Wiz: Not just that. She can fly, move faster than lasers, and with the help of her two friends, held back the moon! If Amphibia's moon is anything like the Earth's moon, that means she held back at least 2.447 x 10^22 kilograms!

Boomstick: Yeah, she's hella strong.

Wiz: Anne Boonchuy might just be a middle schooler, but she is a very capable fighter.

Levy McGarden[]

Wiz: The Fairy Tail Guild is composed of many different groups and classes of magic.

Boomstick: And for our girl Levy McGarden, she's the leader of the Shadow Gear.

Wiz: Levy McGarden is a cheerful mage who is known for being incredibly bookish.

Boomstick: "Bookish"? Did you just make that up?

Wiz: Nope. It means being devoted to a life of reading and studying rather than worldly interests.

Boomstick: Oh. Well, I guess you learn something new every day.

Wiz: Levy's magic mainly revolves around these things called Solid Scripts. It's a form of Letter Magic which gives her the ability to cast magic based on the words she says. And by that I mean she literally brings those words to life and uses them for her magic.

Boomstick: Yup, the literal definition of a weaponized dictionary. Levy's Solid Scripts can be used in a variety of ways. She can summon fire by just saying the word Fire. She can summon a protective barrier by saying Guard. Storms, thunder, oil, water, bullets, swords, holes, you name it and she could probably do it. Or say it.

Wiz: Her incredibly versatile Letter Magic is not the only deadly thing to consider. Levy's erudite nature makes her one of the smartest members of the Fairy Tail Guild.

Boomstick: Levy has a vast knowledge of magic, history, literature, and culture. She is also good at strategizing, planning ahead, and being an expert infiltrator as well as improvising when needed.

Wiz: This is shown when she was able to translate the ancient writings on the Tenrou Jade and the Dragon Cry staff. She helped Lucy Heartfilia decode the book of E.N.D., Zeref’s most powerful demon. She was able to sneak into the Avatar cult’s headquarters and pose as one of their members, while secretly sabotaging their plans and communicating with Lucy. She also infiltrated Tartaros’ base with Gajeel Redfox and managed to hack into their computer system and locate their control room.

Boomstick: Levy McGarden is a nerd and a badass.

Pre-Battle Interlude[]

Wiz: Alright, the combatants are all set!

Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!

DEATH BATTLE[]

Levy McGarden slowly opened her eyes, and the first thing she noticed was the quietness. The silence was so deafening that it felt like she was the only person in the world. As she sat up, she realized she was lying on the ground in the middle of a dense forest.

Levy tried to shake off the grogginess and take in her surroundings. The trees around her were tall and thick, with gnarled roots that twisted above the ground. The forest floor was littered with fallen leaves, and the air was crisp and cool.

Panic began to set in as Levy tried to remember how she had gotten there. But she couldn't recall anything. Levy stood up and looked around, hoping to spot any sign of civilization, but there was none.

As she walked through the forest, Levy noticed that the trees seemed to shift and move around her, almost as if they were alive. The rustling of the leaves echoed through the trees, and Levy couldn't help but feel like she was being watched.

Suddenly, she heard a voice, soft and soothing, whispering in her ear. "You're not alone," it said. "There are others here, just like you."

Levy spun around, but there was no one there. She tried to call out, but her voice was hoarse, and only a faint croak came out. She felt a hand on her shoulder, and she turned around again, but there was still no one there.

As the day wore on, Levy wandered deeper into the forest, her anxiety growing with every step. She stumbled upon a clearing with a small pond in the center. The water was crystal clear, and Levy could see the fish swimming beneath the surface.

Suddenly, Levy heard a tree branch break, and down came a strange pink frog right on top of her.

"Shoot," said the frog. "My cover is blown."

"Sprig?" Anne Boonchuy said in the distance.

Levy, thinking that she was under attack, thrusted Sprig off her back and exclaimed, "Solid Script: Thunder!"

With a great gust of wind, Sprig flung off far away across the forest. Anne watched as her dear friend smashed against several tree branches before falling to the ground unconscious.

"Sprig!" Anne yelled as her heart sank. She turned her gaze towards Levy, now filled with anger. "You're gonna pay for that!"

FIGHT!

Anne drew out her sword and rushed at her enemy. Levy responded by using her Solid Script magic in order to create a protective barrier. Anne lunged at Levy, but no damage was done. Several more swings of the sword also did nothing.

"Solid Script: Stone!"

The words STONE appeared over Anne's head and fell down. The teenager dove to the side by the skin of her teeth, nearly getting crushed by the half-ton boulders. She got up and tapped one of the rocks. It was then that Anne realized that she barely eluded death. Who she was facing was not to be taken lightly.

"Who are you?" Anne asked.

"Who are YOU?" Levy retorted.

"That's what I just asked you!" Anne grunted in frustration. She ran up to Levy again, sword in tow. But instead of a straight attack, Anne leaped into the air and struck the top of the guard spell. Levy was startled and the Solid Script spell fell apart. Anne grinned and drew out her tennis racket, dual-wielding the racket and the sword. With nothing now defending Levy, Anne took the fight directly to her.

Levy dodged a sword strike, but took two direct swings to the face by Anne's tennis racket. Anne then kicked her in the stomach, making Levy careen against the ground.

Levy slowly got up, briefly gripping her stomach in pain. The kid hits like a truck.

"Is that all you can do?" Anne asked mockingly. "Hide behind your magic mumbo jumbo?"

"You are more resourceful than I gave you credit for," Levy responded. "But so am I."

Levy began chanting a new spell. The very words she spoke manifested a hailstorm of light energy bullets that all homed in on Anne. The spell inflicted major damage on her. Anne knew she had to act fast.

Anne called upon her frog-like agility, somersaulting through the air and avoiding the light energy bullets. She then hid behind a tree to shield herself from the oncoming fire. The tree wasn't going to hold for long.

Then, Anne felt the tree get uprooted. As Levy's Solid Script: Bullet ended, she used another Thunder spell to push the tree down. Anne quickly ran out of the tree's way, which was exactly what Levy wanted. As the tree went timber, it smashed against another one, causing that other tree to lose a number of its branches. One of which collapsed right down on top of Anne, landing a crushing blow.

Anne gasped for air as she was mortally wounded. She then thought back to how Levy tossed Sprig away like a ragdoll. Anne couldn't let that slide. A surge of energy coursed through her veins, and her body began to change. Her eyes shined bright neon blue and so did her hair.

Anne threw the giant tree branch off her and stood up, radiating with a bright blue aura. Levy looked on in wonder. She could hardly believe her eyes. The sheer power emanating from Anne was overwhelming, but Levy was no stranger to facing powerful foes.

As Anne flew for an attack at blazing speed, Levy yelled out, "Solid Script: Drill!"

The spell generated the word DRILL which spun at around 3,000 RPM. Anne obliterated it like it was nothing, greatly alarming Levy. The distance was closed and Anne dealt a swift punch to Levy's face, sending her tumbling backward across the forest. Anne pressed her advantage, relentless in her assault.

Levy took hit after hit before laying out on the ground, significantly bruised. Anne flew up high into the sky, looking to end the fight once-and-for-all. Even so, Levy McGarden still got herself up through the pain.

She saw Anne summon barrage of energy blasts. In response, Levy summoned a fire spell which eviscerated all of the energy blasts. She then summoned an even more potent fire spell at Anne, but the flying teenager easily avoided it.

"Two can play at that game," Anne said. Her hands shined brightly and she launched a single more powerful energy blast down at her enemy. Levy instinctively dove into the nearby pond, narrowly avoiding death herself.

As she arose from the pond wet and drenched, Anne flew down at hypersonic speed with her sword in hand. Levy quickly tried to start another spell... but it couldn't be done in time. Anne sliced off Levy's head clean off, leaving a wet splash of blood on the sword. Blood droplets fell into the pond as Levy collapsed into the water. Beheaded.

KO!

Conclusion[]

Boomstick: Oof, that was gruesome.

Wiz: Levy McGarden is a formidable celestial wizard with a vast array of magic spells at her disposal.

Boomstick: But even with all that magical firepower, Levy had a tough time holding her ground against Anne's Calamity form. Anne's speed and strength were simply overwhelming.

Wiz: Anne has outpaced missiles and LASERS in her Calamity form which would make her FTL or faster than light. Over 186,000 miles per second.

Boomstick: At that point, Levy McGarden really didn't stand a chance. Anne's unique transformation, combined with her resilience and resourcefulness, gave her the upper hand.

Wiz: The winner is Anne Boonchuy.
