Anakaris vs Kan-Ra is a What-If?Death Battle by LakuitaBro01.2

Description:[]

Darkstalkers vs Killer Instinct! Old desert super civilization politics give way to some seriously powerful undead mummies! Will Anakaris slay the Babylonian vizier for violating his 9 Commandments? Or will Kan-Ra unravel the pharaoh's very life?

Interlude:[]

Wiz: Thousands of years ago civilizations flourished in the great deserts of Egypt and the Middle East, creating agricultural empires that often found themselves at war with the neighboring territories.

Boomstick: With some civilizations being considered "super civilizations" such as Babylonia and Egypt, it's no wonder that the idea of highly advanced civilizations is like my dog to all the things she shouldn't eat. Like batteries!

Wiz: Anakaris, the Darkstalker Pharaoh of Egypt.

Boomstick: And Kan-Ra, the Ancient Babylonian Sorcerer. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to see who would win a Death Battle.

Fygul Cestemus' Temple

"Long ago, the ancient civilizations of the world sought to create life out of stone to carry out their wishes. Be it for farming, building, or even for the gears of war, these 'golems' had a high value to kings and queens around the globe. But alas, in some instances, it did not go well for others. We begin this story with the beginning of another; at the Temple of the Fygul Cestemus!"

Kan-Ra and Kunpaetku stood frozen in the middle of the massive chamber of the temple, hearing the screams of agony of the cultists on both sides of them. Kunpaetku recognized the angry roars of his own abomination slaughtering his men, while Kan-Ra heard the shattering of stone from his side, immediately recognizing the thorn in his side for the past several thousand years. A massive man burst through the wall in front of the cult leader, his muscles bulging as he held the massive axe he carried at his side, and across from the Babylonian sorcerer came his dreaded millennia old archenemy: Aganos. Both of these massive golems were covered with blood and bits of intestine, stomach, and other assorted bits of the human body, and both had eyes locked directly onto their greatest enemies.

With primal roars the two of them rushed at their enemies, yet in the nick of time Kan-Ra grabbed onto the cult leader's shoulder and pulled him close, getting inches away from his face.

"I still have a use for you..."

A flurry of sand quickly surrounded the two men as they teleported away, causing the two golems to collide into each other, shaking the chamber with the force of their colliding bodies.

"The result of the fight between the flesh giant Astaroth and the stone golem Aganos was that of the inner Ichorien coming out and slaughtering the bearer of the Soul Edge Fragment. While that battle was already told, a new tale was to unfold very shortly concerning that of the Babylonian sorcerer himself: Kan-Ra."

The shambling living corpse that was Kan-Ra landed with Kunpaetku upon the sands of Egypt. He tossed the cultist to the floor of the desert, causing sand to get into his mouth. It burned greatly, having been bathed in the hot sun all day, and as such it scorched the cultist's mouth, tongue and all. He got to his feet quickly, his hands burning due to the heat of the sand as well, and turned to face the immortal sorcerer who brought him all the way out here. The sweltering sun only made the smell coming from his body worse. The smell was as if you left a fish out in the sun for several months on end, and during all of that you smeared the worst substances you can think of on it as well. Hopefully it's something you'd never had to smell in your life, but unfortunately for Kunpaetku he was in the moment. He covered his mouth and nose with a hand and angrily glared at the decaying zombie in front of him and spoke, muffling himself.

"You bastard! Why take me all the way out here?"

Kan-Ra's body shifted unnaturally as he inched closer to him, his breath stinging the cultist's nose.

"Your feeble cult poses a threat to what I wish to do with this world. A sword capable of granting unimaginable power at the cost of your sanity?" he said with a smile before letting out a cackle that echoed across the blank landscape, "I've lived for hundreds, if not thousands of years, Kunpaetku. I've wielded daggers that corrupt the minds of men with no hinderance to my ability. Thanks to you letting me research the Soul Edge, I believe I can find it on my own now and what I don't need is an entire army of flesh golems trying to beat me to it. So, goodbye Kunpaetku. Rot in this vast desert."

"The cultist could not believe this. Kan-Ra wasn't going to save him from death at the hands of his own creation Astaroth! He was instead granting him a slower death by abandoning him in the desert, a fate far worse than what he could've imagined! A story of betrayal was nothing new to the Babylonian sorcerer, but what would happen next he would not and could not believe."

Before the sorcerer could teleport away, the ground began to shake violently. An earthquake occurred, one that could be registered on the Richter scale as a magnitude 9, and the dunes of sand were cast up into the air. Both men fell to their butts as the shaking would not stop until it appeared that pyramids were rising out of the sand and were shortly followed by buildings and then huts: an entire civilization hidden under the sand. As the earthquake subsided, the denizens of this civilization exited their homes and their places of work dressed just like the egyptians their architecture matched. All of them, upon seeing Kan-Ra, ducked back into their homes in fear at the walking corpse practically standing on their doorstep. From the largest pyramid of the ancient city emerged a massive, hulking figure wrapped in bandages wearing ceremonial garb. Essentially a walking mummy.

" All of the citizens of this newly emerged kingdom bowed as this lumbering mummy walked past, clearly pointing that this was their pharaoh or something comparable. Between the two of them, Kunpaetku was quicker to act and bowed to this mysterious figure, forcing crocodile tears up as he did so."

"Oh, my lord! Mercy!" he shouted into the floor.

The pharaoh stopped merely meters away from the two of them. He studied them deeply. His head slowly turned towards Kunpaetku and he began to speak. His voice was deep and gravely, yet carried the gusto of a true emperor.

"I see that in me transporting my kingdom through time caused some of my citizens to be left behind. Tell me, are you one of the descendants?" he inquired, ignoring the abhorrent existence of the sorcerer standing a few feet away from him. The cultist nodded exasperatedly, buying into the weirdness of the situation and hoping that it would save him.

"Yes! He was to leave here in the middle of the desert to die!" he shouted, pointing right at Kan-Ra. Loud gasps emerged from the citizens as the pharaoh shifted his body to turn towards Kan-Ra. You could feel the anger swelling up in the mummy's bandaged body as his stare intensified.

"The old king Anakaris was shocked to hear one of his descendants was about to be murdered by a ghoulish creature! The eighth commandment he set for his people was about to be broken by this thing and he could not stand for it. For now he prepared himself for a battle that very well may cost him his life, but it was for the sanctity of his kingdom..."

Anakaris sunk his lower half into the sand and extended his arm to grab Kunpaetku by the ankle and drag him through the scorching ground to safety while he pointed at Kan-Ra with murderous intent plastered on his otherwise solemn face. The sorcerer watched this happen and chuckled to himself as sand began to float around him.

"You remind me of a king I had the displeasure of serving under long ago..." Kan-Ra stated, words slipping through his teeth.

Anakaris got back up to his two feet, arms out stretched in a classic mummy pose. "And just how well did that go for you?" he questioned.

He got no real answer. Kan-Ra growled and soon after a sand blast was being flung through the air, striking the pharaoh in the torso, but the blow hardly made him move. Anakaris laughed and jumped through the air at the sorcerer, his lower body forming into a pyramid as he descended.
