Description[]

Hellsing vs. Berserk. Only one immortal warrior will get their wish of honorable death.

Introduction[]

Wiz: Alucard, the vampiric trump card of the Hellsing Organisation.

Boomstick: Nosferatu Zodd, the Immortal Black Lion Apostle.

Wiz: Sometimes, you if are willing to peel back their monstrous visages and fright-inspiring power, you will find that some monsters are just as human as us, filled with regret and sorrow for what they have become.

Boomstick: So much so, that the one thing they desire about anything else is death at the hands of someone they know is worth dying to. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!

Alucard[]

Wiz: Many of you may be familiar with the legend of Dracula, the ultimate archetype of the vampiric monster.

Boomstick: You probably wouldn't know that the idea of Dracula popularized by movies didn't exactly line up with the original book by old Bram Stoker. And the Dracula we're talking about definitely didn't either.

Wiz: You see, in the original novel, Dracula's defeater, Van Hellsing, wasn't really a vampire killer but rather a doctor with passing knowledge on vampires which he used to the best of his ability to triumph over his vampiric foe. But this version of Hellsing was not only a bloodsucker's worst nightmare, he even defeated Dracula on single combat. And more.

Boomstick: Not wanting the power of Dracula to go to waste, Hellsing used alchemy to alter the count, turning him into a new being with with a new name...Alucard. Which is, surprise-surprise, Dracula reversed. Because's that what he basically was; a loyal slayer of the evil beings he used to reside over.

  • Background
    • AKA Vlad the Third, Dracula
    • Height: 6'3
    • Age: Nearly 600 years
    • Serves the Hellsing Family
    • Trump card of Hellsing
    • Like Cell, he drinks people

Wiz: Well, not until the latest of the Hellsing bloodline, Sir Integra, awoke him during a personal crisis to save her life from her crazed uncle. But once he was up, you couldn't put him down.

Boomstick: Literally. Alucard is called the No-Life King for a reason, and that's because it's not his life on the end when he's fighting the creatures of the night, it's the ones he's holed up inside of himself. Like a video game character, he can recover from the most severe of wounds because he'll just use one of the millions of souls he has inside of himself to take the damage in his place.

Popup: Given that Alucard regenerated his head after ejecting his extra souls in his fight against Alexander Anderson, his regeneration is not dependant on these souls.

Wiz: Even being reduced to a puddle of blood is no issue for Alucard to recover from, and is especially impressive when other vampires can die to the loss of a head. But Alucard? No issue whatsoever. Even when he loses a soul, he can always get another by drinking the blood of one of his victims, in the process gaining their memories.

  • Powers and Abilities
    • Superhuman abilities
    • Marksmanship
    • Hypnosis
    • Soul-consuming regeneration
    • Shadowy composition
    • Intangibility
    • Shapeshifting
    • Telepathy
    • Telekinesis
    • Soul absorption
    • Wall walking
    • Third Eye
    • Control Art Restriction System
      • Familiar Summoning

Boomstick: And when he rises back up, he's going to make you pay for even thinking you could kill him. He can slice a person in half with a wave of his hand or rip them apart with his pearly whites. Or blow them apart with both his beautiful handguns, the Casuall and Jackal. The former fires holy bullets to kill vampires and the latter delivers a payload which packs even more of a punch to overtax healing factors.

Wiz: Alucard's body is composed of what can only be considered tangible shadows, which he can use to morph his body any way he likes. He can turn intangible to walk through walls, hypnotise people with direct eye contact and use telekinesis to lift people or objects to throw at his whim. He can walk up walls and possesses virtually none of the weaknesses of ordinary vampires, meaning he can cross running water and survive in sunlight, and holy artefacts aren't as effective as they should be.

Boomstick: His Third Eye ability, which his familiar Police Girl demonstrated, has the ability to resist illusions, mind control and even offer brief glimpses of the future.

Wiz: And all of this is what Alucard does when the souls are kept inside of him. With the Control Art Restrictive System, all the beings Alucard contains are kept inside of him. But when special conditions are met, namely, when he comes across a "boss", he will be allowed to release his extra souls as Familiars.

Boomstick: One of his favourites is Baskerville, which is basically Satan's dog, perfect for showing anyone that whilst he might be a dog, they're definitely dog food.

Wiz: There are up to six levels that Alucard accesses through a battle of increasing difficultly, but the one he uses when going all out is Level Zero, usually at the command of his master Integra.

Boomstick: Because you know something is badass when it has Zero in the name. And in this case, Alucard reveals he truly is a one-vampire army, because all 3 million of his Familiars are unleashed as an army of flowing blood.

Wiz: The Kazan, Yenicheri and even Dracula's own people make up this army of the damned, as to the latest victims of the vampire. The Dandyman, a razor-card wielder, the sniper with homing bullets Rip Van Winkle and the knife throwing Luke Valentine.

Boomstick: Which he combined with Baskerville! Metal as hell! Oh, and so is turning back to Dracula, a general to lead his army, complete with old fashioned broadsword.

Wiz: Although the real Dracula's sword wasn't really a broadsword, but rather a scimitar with a weighted end. Check out Deadliest Warrior to see.

Boomstick: Shh! Don't shill out one of our competitors.

Wiz: Unfortunately, and logically, without his souls inside of him, Alucard is now vulnerable to a final death. Although he still maintains a level of regeneration, a severe enough attack, like one to his heart, would be enough to count him among the slain vampires.

Boomstick: Too bad DUMMI doesn't have a limit like that.

DUMMI: No. Rather than a reservoir inside of myself, I simply transfer to another body in storage.

Boomstick: Ha, fool! You should never have told! We'll just include you in more episodes!

DUMMI: You can try. You'll never get to them all.

  • Feats
    • Crashed a Blackbird Jet into an aircraft carrier
    • Caught a magical bullet in his teeth
    • Killed all three million of the souls inside of himself
    • Heals from near-complete bodily destruction with every battle
    • Decimated two armies at once with Level Zero
    • Broke through holy vines from the Monster of God
    • Defeated Luke Valentine, Alexander Anderson, Walter Dornez

Wiz: Alucard's official role within Hellsing is to serve as their trump card, the best of what they can produce in times of great crisis. Like when the ultimate evil amalgamation was unleashed on Britain.

Boomstick: Nazi. Vampires. Guess those Discovery Channel shows were onto something about the secrets of Hitler. These guys wanted a war, and they certainly got, and more, with Alucard.

Wiz: When they attempted to use a hijacked aircraft carrier for their war-based mission, Alucard assaulted it by smashing a Blackbird SR-71 aircraft.

Boomstick: The impact itself would have equalled 11 tons of TNT, but measuring the scope of the explosion would have made it equal 50 tons of TNT. Now, it can be explained away that Alucard simply healed from the damage before strolling out in style, but then you'll realize that the bombastic rhyming Rip Van Winkle was right there as the explosion took place and was perfectly fine!

Wiz: Even if Alucard is less tough than her, he still ended up besting her in combat, impaling her on her own gun, which fires Mach 1500 magic bullets by the way, and overcoming whatever durability she might of had.

Boomstick: He then hijacked their hijacking and piloted the aircraft carrier with his telekinesis, all the way to the Battle of London. He moved a massive sea of blood, obliterated two enemy armies, and faced down his two biggest rivals; the badass Scottish priest Alexander Anderson and the wire-wielding turncoat Walter Dornez. He took down both of them, even Alexander even became a monster like he did, sprouting thorny vines which conducted a holy aura. Alucard ripped straight through them and allowed his beloved rival to die as himself.

Wiz: Which revealed the dark secret Alucard harboured; he despised the desperation and weakness that led him to drink blood and become a vampire back when he was originally Vlad the Impaler. Want he really desires is a final death at the hands of a powerful warrior, to know the kind of monster he was could be once again overcome as Van Hellsing had done so long ago.

Boomstick: The key requirement was, they had to be a human. Not...whatever the hell Schrodinger was. I wanna say cat boy...

Wiz: Who's basically a living quantum concept, yeah. At the Major's orders, Schrodinger threw himself into Alucard's stream of souls, his unique knowledge-based immortality mingling with the millions of beings trapped within the vampire to paradox him out of existence. But if there's one thing we've established, it's that Alucard is pretty damn hard to kill.

Boomstick: How'd he fix this? By spending the better part of a decade killing the remainder of his souls until only Schrodinger was left, at which point he was able to harness his ability to exist anywhere and any-when so long as he knew he did.

Wiz: All-in-all, Alucard is a walking example of what happens when the dead dance, for as they do, it will be to the song of hell itself.

Nosferatu Zodd[]

Wiz: During the Hundred Year War between Midland and Tudor, the legendary Band of the Hawk was employed by the former faction who proved pretty much insurmountable in bringing down Tudor.

Boomstick: But the Tudor's didn't let themselves go down easy, and employed a large number of extraordinary foe which even uber-badass Guts struggled against at one point or another. Just like the time he and his Raiders had to besiege an enemy-held fortress. And whilst the word "enemy" can be used collectively, it this case, it was literally as it means "singular".

Wiz: Well, by the end of the siege, there was certainly only one man left to slay. But the thing was, he wasn't a man. That time had long since passed before the rise of the infamous name of Nosferatu Zodd.

Boomstick: Hey, when you'd been given the name which combines those of basically the second most famous vampire and Superman's most personal enemy, you'd better believe you've earned it. And Zodd certainly has.

  • Background
    • Age: Thousands of years
    • Height: 7'3
    • AKA Zodd the Immortal
    • Species: Apostle
    • Member of the new Bank of the Hawk

Wiz: The word "Nosferatu" can actually be read in Japanese as immortal, rather than referring to a vampire which did not arise until the 19th or 20th centuries. But if anything, this only furthers the reputation Zodd has, seeing as he's been around for thousands of years. Every time it seems he's finally died, he'll just reveal himself again.

Boomstick: And why? Because this dude really loves to fight. He's killed thousands of fighters in single-combat, leaving behind entire mountains of corpses. And how has he lived this long?

Wiz: Well, contrary to his name, it's not because he drinks blood, seeing as, again, he's not a vampire. No, in fact, he was something considered just as bad; an Apostle. Former humans who traded away their humans with a sacrifice of human life in exchange for a monstrous transformation of power.

Boomstick: Basically, just vampirism ramped up a whole lot. And being an Apostle means that Zodd has thousands of years worth of combat experience to go with his inhuman level of speed and strength.

  • Powers and Abilities
    • Superhuman strength
    • Superhuman speed
    • Superhuman durability
    • Enhanced senses
    • Longevity
    • Accelerated healing
    • Swordsmanship
    • Axe wielding
    • Apostle Form
      • 11'4 feet tall
      • Flight
      • Sharp claws and teeth
      • Increase to abilities

Wiz: He's also incredibly fast despite his daunting size, which is likely part of the reason he's said to have never been wounded in over three-hundred years. He can decorate the surrounding area with the blood and innards of others in likely swipes so fast, they cannot be blocked or avoided in time.

Boomstick: He's so strong, he can rip straight through armour like its tissue paper with either one of his massive weapons; a massive serrated saber that's more like a cleaver, and a similarly large one-headed axe.

Popup: Given that Zodd leant Guts a sword of his, it's likely he possesses or has access to similar weapons.

Wiz: Even if he does miraculously take damage, he can heal most wounds in no time at all. He can see across a whole battlefield and throw one of his weapons with enough precision so that it touches down where he wants it most.

Boomstick: And that's all when he's bothering to pretend he's still a human. It's when he unveils his true Apostle form is the moment you know, you have no more chance of living.

Wiz: The true forms of Apostles are the combinations of the bodies of human and animal, although in Zodd's case, it's pretty much a one-hundred percent beast, although he still retains his deceptively sharp mind and decades of battlefield experience, making him even more of a force on the battlefield than before.

Boomstick: As if he wasn't already crazy enough! But like this, he swells to nearly twice his size, gets razor sharp claws and a muzzle full of vicious teeth. Oh, and he can also fly! With a pair of giant bat-like wings. Good to see him leaning slightly more into the vampirism the term Nosferatu lent.

Wiz: He also retains his ability to heal in record time. Even after his arm was severed, it was back in place by the next time he showed up. Other Apostles could operate with even fatal wounds, like a sword through the throat and or when there was just a single chunk of them left, like the Slug Baron.

Boomstick: And you see in the current era of Berserk where he only has one horn? Well, he used to have two, but even one is more than enough to also serve as a vicious goring weapon. How'd he lose it you ask? In an encounter with someone whom he handily bested the first time, Griffith, who later returned as the God Hand member, Femto. In case you're wondering, a God Hand is to an Apostle is to a human.

Wiz: Humbled by Femto's new power, Zodd pledged himself to his new Band of the Hawk, dedicated towards the creation of Femto's own kingdom. But in the process, he'd also encounter the man who's fate is pretty much intertwined with that of Griffith's; Guts, the Black Swordsman and One-Hundred Man Slayer.

Boomstick: For the most part, Zodd was pretty much Guts times two. Guts killed one-hundred men in one night? Zodd killed three hundred in one day! Guts chopped off his own hand for the sake of trying to help his girlfriend, whilst Zodd picked up his severed hand and beat Guts with it.

  • Feats
    • Killed 300 mercenaries in one fight
    • Survived the collapse of the Tower of Conviction
    • Powered through several lightning strikes
    • Threw a sword miles across the battlefield
    • Survived numerous fights with the Skull Knight
    • Weaponized his own severed arm
    • Defeated Guts, Griffith, Wyald

Wiz: Compared to other Apostles, Zodd is literally in a league of his own, having manhandled and torn apart other unruly members of his kind with ease.

Boomstick: And even pseudo-Apostles, like flat face Mozgus, are pretty damn powerful, as he unleashed a massive belch of fire which vaporized a massive monster made of evil water. No, it wasn't the one from One-Punch Man.

Wiz: Based on the volume of the creature, then to dispel it like he did Mozgus' attack would have equalled 120 tons of TNT (DemonGodMitchAubin). Whilst Zodd may not have fire breath, he's battled against Guts who bested and survived Mozgus' attacks, and he himself had survived numerous bolts of lightning from a, and I quote, Thunder Emperor.

Boomstick: Guts fought the same malicious maelstrom, dodging a bolt of lightning at Mach 98 (TwulveGaighAutoLodeigh).

Wiz: And these bolts are certainly above normal lightning, as they are able to obliterate other Apostles with ease. So they certainly pack more power than the 1.6 gigajoules they naturally have.

Boomstick: And how did Zodd take this thunderstorm tyrant? Why, by letting Guts stand on his head and use his Interstice, basically where the normal and paranormal interlink, cutting Dragonslayer as a lance to skewer the cloudy apparition! All whilst tanking those same super-charged lightning bolts! Badass!

Wiz: He did this by keeping in mind the prophecy that a young seer gave to him. That when the time came, he would have to use the weapon of the one he admired most; Guts himself. And from what we've seen, it all makes sense, sine an Apostle is often born when someone gives away what little they truly have in a single moment of weakness. Considering Zodd prides himself on his strength, one can only imagine how much shame his own desire for transformation brought him.

Boomstick: And then you have Guts, who refuses to trade away his humanity when he will literally give away pieces of his body instead to win. No wonder he admires Guts. Plus, he's probably the only Apostle there is who can survive fighting against his beloved rival, the Skull Knight. Now that's a dude who makes Apostles look like fodder.

Wiz: We will have to wait and see if the life of Nosferatu Zodd, with its battles and fated confrontations, will continue on for yet another thousand years, or end in the battle that he has waited his whole life to be a part of.

Interlude[]

Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, time to end this debate once and for all.

Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!

The Battle[]

Setting: Battlefield littered with bodies

Zodd sat on a pile of corpses, his chin resting on the hilt of his sword as it was planted into the ground, staring into space in bored contemplation. The sound of footsteps made him look over his shoulder to see Alucard approaching him at a casual stroll, hands in his pockets.

Zodd: Another one? Fine. I hope you will at least be more of an entertainment

The Apostle stood up and yanked his weapon out of the ground, turning to face Alucard who was softly chuckling.

Alucard: Oh, believe me big boy, entertaining the likes of you is just the cusp of my talents. For example, I've got something you probably don't...

He whipped out both his pistols and brandished them with a toothy smile.

Alucard: These!

FIGHT!

He unleashed a volley of bullets at Zodd from the Casuall, who, in spite of his surprise at the odd weapons, levelled his sword in front of himself to block the projectiles. The consecutive impacts pushed him backwards, and he grunted in slight exertion. Alucard then aimed his Jackal at Zodd, firing off a shot he could instinctively tell was going to hit with a lot more force, so he also brought out his axe to use its shaft to brace his sword. The Jackal's bullet indeed carried enough power to lift Zodd off his feet and push him backwards, but as he flew back, the Apostle drew back his arm and hurled his sword at him.

The flying blade sliced through Alucard's left arm, the one holding Jackal and it flew into the air in a spurt of blood. Seizing his chance, Zodd planted his feet on the ground and charged at Alucard, bringing his axe down when he came within range. This cut off Alucard's other arm, after which Zodd passed Alucard to snatch up his sword, which had landed behind him. Alucard turned around and Zodd slashed out both his weapons in an upwards X-motion, slicing Alucard's chest in the same shape.

Alucard: Oh, you've killed! You've killed me!

His smirk widened and his body, including his eviscerated torso and his two arms, merged back together thanks to the surge of blood that came out of all of them.

Alucard: Now do it three million more times!

Zodd's eyes widened before narrowing at Alucard aiming his pistols straight at his face and he brought both his weapons around to grind them against them, pushing them to the side as they fired. With Alucard's face exposed, he swung his head out to smash his forehead against Alucard's face, practically pulverising it outwards. Yet it healed and Alucard dragged his guns up Zodd's weapons, generating sparks, before bringing both butts of them onto Zodd's head. It proved of stern stuff however and Zodd merely sliced Alucard's arms off a second time. In the span of the next scant seconds, Zodd sliced through Alucard's body with both his weapons but just as quickly he healed from the bisections. When Zodd swung his sword at Alucard's head, the vampire caught the blade between his teeth, keeping Zodd in place for him to pump a series of bullets into his midsection with the one arm that had regenerated first. Zood grunted at the pain before he noticed Alucard's other arm was about to regenerate, and point the Jackal at his face. Thinking quickly, he broke into a run, dragging Alucard along via his mouth-hold on his sword, and as he did, grinded Alucard's body across the ground, leaving behind a massive smear of blood.

With a roar, Zodd swung his arm up and dislodged Alucard's grip from his sword blade, sending the vampire flying into the air. The Apostle leapt up after him and swung both his weapons down, slicing the already half-sheared form of Alucard into three pieces, him landing on the ground before they could drop down. Instead though, the parts of Alucard turned into mist and merged together, flying around into Zodd's gut like a fist, sending him flying backwards and losing his grip on his weapons. The solid mist that was Alucard went up before shooting down, carrying Zodd the whole time to smash him onto the bloodstained ground before pulling back, reforming before him as he powered back to his feet.

Alucard: You know, I don't think your hack-and-slash routine is working out Big Boy.

Zodd: You talk too much.

Alucard: Yeah...

As Alucard chuckled at Zodd's insult, the latter stepped forwards and grabbed him by the shoulder to drive his fist into first his chest and then face, breaking bone each time. When he went for another strike on his face however, Alucard phased straight through his body to get behind him. He turned Zodd around with a yank on his shoulder and unleashed a series of rapid punches into Zodd's sides and face. Zodd weathered the blows before shooting out a hand to smash it through Alucard's chest but the vampire only smiled before bringing down his pistols and firing a double blast from both of them into his chest. It sent Zodd flying backwards, enough to even make him flip over before crashing. Fortunately for Zodd, his healing factor healed the damage and he had landed next to his sword. Picking it up, he charged at Alucard, who simply examined his fingernails even as Zodd swung it down.

A clang when out as the sword's edge collided with that of his own axe's, which Alucard commanded with his telekinesis. Whilst he continued to casually examine his nails, Alucard duelled Zodd with the axe, keeping him at bay for en extended period of time to the Apostle's frustration.

Zodd: Damn you and your tricks!

Alucard: Don't blame the magician, blame the trade brother.

Zodd snarled and swung his sword at an angle that sliced through the shaft of the axe to send its head spinning up into the air. But Alucard's telekinesis still had range over it, and thus it spun back around to embed itself in Zodd's back. He staggered at the impact before his sword, even as he held it, was gripped by Alucard's telekinesis and twisted around into his own gut.

Zodd dropped to his knees as blood leaked from both wounds on either side of his body whilst Alucard looked on smirking. His smile wavered when Zodd started chuckling.

Zodd: You've made me bleed more than anyone else could...for that you have my thanks. And this gift.

He suddenly swelled in size, growing fur, horns and other bestial features until he was in his true Apostle form, his wounds healing and pushing out his own weapons as he looked down at the surprise Alucard.

Alucard: Did I say big boy? I probably should have said...biggest boy.

He was pulverized in the next instance by Zodd slashing him with his massive claws, reforming a distance away with a slightly pained expression at his foe's new power and speed. Zodd unleashed a vicious roar in his direction and lumbered towards him, and Alucard stood his ground.

Alucard: Roaring will do you no good friend. I much prefer my enemies...silenced.

He quickly released a part of his Restriction System and Baskerville burst from his body, roaring and spewing slobber as he rose to meet his master's opponent. It and Zodd snarled and snapped their jaws at each other like the animals they both looked like, until one of Zodd's swipes enabled Baskerville to clamp its teeth around the limb. Zodd roared in pain and started striking the creature with his fist, and it wretched him about to help it encircle his body with its malleable one. Zodd snarled and struggled in its grip and even sank his teeth into the neck of Baskerville. With a bit of effort, he was able to rip out the area correlating to its throat, and Baskerville faded away with a whine.

Zodd: I do hope that was not your only ally, because it was not up to the task.

He turned back to Alucard and frowned when he saw him practically billowing with ethereal coils, and a third eye over his other two.

Alucard: Yes, I did...which is why I decided to get a head start on summoning the rest.

Zodd: The rest?

Alucard: Of these!

Out of him suddenly came both an ocean of blood and an army of unleashed zombies, which screamed horribly as they surged towards Zodd. Acting in a single directive, they swarmed over Zodd, clinging to his arm and lower body as a thick, restraining mass and pinning him to the ground. He roared in anger as the swarm then crept up further, eventually completely burying him, but then were all blown away by a violent growth and unfurl of his wings. Every corpse on him was sent flying as he reared back to his feet, before he set to ravaging the army before him. He slashed them to ribbons, chewed them into mulch, crushed them to paste, gored several with a thrust of his horn and even whipped them with his tail. He was suddenly bombarded with peculiar projectiles, consisting of cards, knives and a supernaturally ricocheting bullet. As they peppered his body, Zodd turned to see Rip, Luke and the Dandyman as the ones responsible, so with a flap of his wings he shot towards them. His claws shone before he slashed as he passed them, turning them into a series of thick sliced circles before they could react. Upon coming to a stop, still surrounded by zombies Zodd continued to tear them apart with quick slashes of his claws. He stopped briefly to draw in breath, blood dripped from him, even as the undead kept marching towards him.

Zodd: Where are you? Come out and face me!

Dracula: Very well.

The voice came from right behind him and before he could turn, Dracula darted forwards and slashed with his sword, serving Zodd's arm. He turned around and leapt back at the Apostle but before the latter's severed limb had hit the ground, Zodd grabbed it and swung it like a club, smashing Alucard in a line through his own army, pulverising the souls. Zodd beat his wings to leap into the air and bring his severed arm down on Dracula as soon as he had come to a stop, further pulverizing him against the ground. Spears from Dracula's undead soldiers stabbed him in the back, but Zodd whipped them away with his tail and continued to wail on Dracula. Eventually, he came to a stop, taking in a breath, and pressed the severed limb to his stump to have it knit back into place.

He picked up Dracula's utterly mangled form and regarded it for a moment.

Zodd: You have made me taste my own blood. So now, I will taste yours.

He opened his mouth to swallow Dracula whole and the vampire's face regenerated. Specifically, his eyes, which locked onto Zodd's in an instance. Alucard's hypnotic gaze burned into his eyes, and Zodd was suddenly compelled to turn totally still, body locked in the process of raising his foe to his maw. The vampire reformed back into Alucard and his eyes glowed red.

Alucard: You want to taste blood monster? Have a full banquet!

Blood, not just from the ghouls he'd summoned but from also the corpses Zodd had left were gripped by his mental powers, and all flowered together into one massive sphere hovering before Zodd. As his pupils dilated, the the blood surged out of the sphere and down his throat in a violent torrent. Zodd felt his insides swell with the excess of liquid, as it broke through his gut and into the rest of his body, until his flesh rippled with the blood. As Zodd reached the point he looked more like a horrific balloon than anything, Alucard lifted his gun up, a bitter expression on his face.

Alucard: When you made the choice to trade away humanity for this, you didn't just lose that. You lost the right to taste my blood.

With a pull of the trigger, Alucard bust Zodd into a blast of blood and gore, the tidal-wave of it washing over him. The No-Life King made sure to keep his mouth open, swallowing down a large gulp of blood as he stood there, unmoved by the wave.

KO!

Apostles converge on Alucard, who summons Zodd as a ghoul to attack them.

Outcome[]

Wiz: Oh god...oh...I'm going to be sick.

Boomstick: Pfft. Pansy.

Wiz: Hey, that was a disgusting display of...of...

Boomstick: Blood drinking? Like when you get a bloody nose but up a hundred?

Wiz: Oh...god! Urgh!

Boomstick: Whilst my colleague here loses more of his stomach lining, I will get into the details. Both our trans-humans here had several advantages each, and I'll go over the basics of speed and strength. For the former, Zodd can be said to be the one with the most power behind him. Remember, a pseudo-Apostle, Mozgus, could unleash a blast of fire worth 120 tons of TNT, and whilst Zodd doesn't have anything like that, he should be logically superior as a real Apostle and could hurt Guts, who was able to survive the fire breath. Whilst Alucard ramming the Blackbird made a 50 TNT explosion. Even if we say he could deliver more than that yield thanks to hurting Rip, who survived the same blast, or Alexander, with physical strength or the Jackal, Zodd's similar leeway would let him keep this gap.

Wiz: Okay...I'm better now...and in terms of speed, Alucard has the edge, as Guts dodging lightning is 97 times the speed of sound, whilst that bullet Alucard caught was 1504 times the speed of sound.

Boomstick: So overall Alucard was 15 times faster whilst Zodd was 2 times stronger and both could maintain those advantages. But there were other factors to turn to too figure out the winner.

Wiz: For one thing, even with Zodd possessing the strength to turn Alucard to paste with his attacks, thanks to Alucard's soul based immortality, he could bounce back from anything Zodd dealt out, and with the gap in speed, Zodd couldn't just kill him three million times in rapid succession, which gave Alucard plenty of opportunities to back off and use his wide variety of powers.

Boomstick: Like his intangibility, to phase through Zodd and his attacks, his telekinesis, to help sow chaos against his foe, or his Clairvoyance to get ahead of the game.

Wiz: Whilst it may seem that none of these would be viable for dealing with Zodd due to the durability difference, well, that's true. Mostly however. For your see, Alucard also had his mind-control powers, which we've seen him use to make victims act exactly how he wanted, such as having that enemy soldier sabotage the lift of his fellows. With Alucard's twisted mind and general expertise at combat, it's not hard to imagine him compelling Zodd to inflict a fatal wound on himself. Since the fight would otherwise be a stalemate, this would be seen as the route the fight would eventually take.

Boomstick: Especially with all those familiars and extra-lives Zodd would have to get through. Whilst he can kill 300 mercenaries in a single fight, I seriously doubt he could fight the equivalent of three million people at once, regardless of if it was just Alucard or if he went Level Zero.

Wiz: Speaking of which, you might be thinking that Alucard might simply let himself get hit, and that would be an issue during Level Zero, where he's vulnerable. But not so much, with Alucard's code of conduct serving as the basis for the final nail in Zodd's coffin.

Boomstick: This guy really wants to be killed by a righteous human warrior, not one who's traded their humanity away to become inhuman. And what did an Apostle like Zodd do? Well, Alucard would just have to take one look at the guy to tell he wasn't human. Even first time readers would notice something and Guts immediately knew Zodd wasn't a normal person. Hell, sing, Alucard would just have to wait until Zodd went full Apostle if he wanted to confirm.

Popup: Whilst Alucard goaded Walter into stabbing in the heart, considering his personality and beliefs, it was easily just a taunt.

Wiz: Zodd was certainly the God of the Battlefield thanks to his strength and durability, but Alucard's survivability, powers and philosophy proved this Apostle's undoing.

Boomstick: There's nothing left to say now, except Zodd off until Necks time.

Wiz: The winner is Alucard.

Trivia[]

  • Connections: Both are immortal monsters who seek to be defeated by a worthy human opponent due to their dislike of their current selves. Both have fought against those they believe can be this worthy opponent (Alexander Anderson and Guts respectively) and can shapeshift into more monstrous forms. Both have also pledged their servitude to the ones who have defeated them; Van Hellsing and Griffith respectively. Coincidentally, both have been named after vampires (Alucard is Dracula spelled backwards, having been the fictional character himself, whilst Nosferatu is a term used to describe a vampire, as well as one popularized in film). In addition, both also have a loosely-held title themed around birds (Alucard calls himself the Bird of Hermes at times whilst Zodd is a member of the new Bank of the Hawk).
  • Animation Style: 2D.
  • OST Idea: 'Restricting Immortalities', referring to Alucard's Restriction Levels and how both he and Zodd are plagued by their own immortal existences.
