Alopex and her brother, Takeshi, were playing in the park one day, when suddenly a portal opened up in front of them. Believing it to be a magic door, both Alopex and Takeshi entered through the portal and were transported to Dimension X, where the Kraang captured the two of them and transformed them into mutants, with Alopex turning into a humanoid Red Fox while Takeshi turned into a humanoid Bengal Tiger.
After many months of hardship, both Alopex and Takeshi escaped Dimension X and had returned back to earth. However, everyone in their village were in fear of them due to their now mutated forms, that they both left the village. They would join in a circus sideshow before joining the criminal underworld. Overtime, Alopex had developed a personal vendetta against her brother, blaming him for ruining her life due to her mutation, raising her in the assassin life, and bringing about a yet unnamed fate to their parents.
This would soon lead up to the point where one day, Alopex turned against her brother, attempting to kill him, and the two savagely fought in a lethal duel. The fight concluded with Alopex coming out as the victor, having cut off Takeshi’s tail with her sword and taking it as a trophy.
She then escaped but was severely wounded from the fight. After escaping, Takeshi believed that Alopex wouldn’t survive due to the grave injuries she had received from the fight. But he was wrong, Alopex had survived and is now wearing his tail as a belt, as a memento and trophy, to remind her of what he put her through.
